Okay, so from this it seems that I was also wrong about the general flavor of faerie Cookies. From what I can gather and hypothesize, faerie Cookies are generally flower based, and if they become a Silver Knight, they take on a new metal flavor, eventually turning into purely metal
Silverbell seems relatively young, so I assume Silverbell’s more of a recent member, and so he still retains some of his original flower flavor, but he will eventually lose it and become purely silver

I feel like Ed and Stede do everything right that Aziraphale and Crowley do wrong. Gentlebeard talk to each other. They sit and have honest conversations about their feelings (talk it through as a crew if you will) and are able to fix a deeply damaged relationship while acknowledging the other’s healing journey and setting boundaries. Ineffable Husbands could learn to do this because THEY DON’T EFFING TALK TO EACH OTHER! AND WHEN THEY DO, THE OTHER DOESN’T REALLY LISTEN!! Communication is so necessary and OFMD shows this. So I can’t wait to see how shit unfolds in GOS3 bc it’s gonna feel so satisfying to watch them hopefully communicate!

I'm a lesbian who recently got really into heartstopper, which has inadvertently launched me into the mlm side of tumblr. And as a newbie, I've noticed that mlm tumblr has exactly 3 types of posts:
" *heavy breathing* you know when boys do that thing where um. where they stretch and then their shirt rolls up a bit and you can see their torso?? HNGGGGGGG ASFHFSASD"
"I wish a boy would come cuddle me rn :((("

as someone who knew nothing about the books or show until i watched it last year on a whim, i was a belly x conrad girlie. i still am, but man, with season 2 already foreshadowing how much theyre soulmates, i feel bad jeremiah doesnt get a fair and fighting chance as belly’s love interest. every time he is, it’s just an afterthought. and it makes the “love triangle” a lot less intriguing bc, well, theres nothing to be intrigued about!!! theres no pining, we all know — even jeremiah himself — that she will always have conrad as number #1. justice for jeremiah and belly to have a fair love story actually

I also have to look at what is popular on each fanfiction site. People on Quotev eat up x reader/x OC stories, like how people on Tumblr greatly appreciate x reader things. On Wattpad, it's more so everything has been done before, and you run the risk of seeming like another cookie-cutter fic, but AO3 is reserved for character/character fics. Of course, you can write X Reader or X OC, but more people prefer to read slash fiction with the source material.
I could be completely wrong, but I observed that after scrolling through tags and fandoms.
Another factor is that the Nanbaka fandom will eat up any scraps they can find because no one writes fan content for them anymore. In comparison, the Harry Potter fandom has so much fan content that while it may take ages, all the niches have been covered.

men who grew up as the youngest brother with older siblings who were all sisters are less likely to see women stereotypically and more likely to know how to relate to them on a non-sexual level. they also tend to be less weird about gender. they won’t automatically put down “girl things” and generally have more freedom in self-expression. It’s not a guarantee, but it does reduce the chances.
men who grew up with brothers (especially only brothers) start rotting as early as eight years old

Supernatural could have had what M*A*S*H had. It could have been on streaming (the equivalent of reruns) for years, inviting new viewers every day. It could have had whole families who watched together when mom and dad decided to binge. It already did have generational reach. But the CW decided to tank it immediately following the finale. Pull it from streaming. And leave only the dedicated fans (of which there are many!) to keep the show alive. I’m just saying. M*A*S*H has been off the air for decades and it’s still one of the most beloved shows watched by people daily. We could have had that

Tell me if this an accurate timeline for One Piece's popularity (outside of Japan):
1) "Yo-ho-ho, he took a bite of Gum Gum!"
2) "One Piece? Is that the pirate anime?"
3) "My god, put this show out of its misery already."
4) "Wait...was it always this good?"
5) "HOLY. FUCKING. SHIT."

It's pretty shitty if you send in a request to someone, and the person puts in so much time and effort to write out your request, only for you to not reblog.
If you like a person's writing enough to send a request, the least you can do is reblog it and spread and share their hard work.

You know, it is perfectly okay and acceptable for adults to watch, enjoy and talk about children's media, but man do certain adult fans of children's media tend to be the worst people ever

changes and trends in horror-genre films are linked to the anxieties of the culture in its time and place. Vampires are the manifestation of grappling with sexuality; aliens, of foreign influence. Horror from the Cold War is about apathy and annihilation; classic Japanese horror is characterised by “nature’s revenge”; psychological horror plays with anxieties that absorbed its audience, like pregnancy/abortion, mental illness, femininity. Some horror presses on the bruise of being trapped in a situation with upsetting tasks to complete, especially ones that compromise you as a person - reflecting the horrors and anxieties of capitalism etc etc etc. Cosmic horror is slightly out of fashion because our culture is more comfortable with, even wistful for, “the unknown.” Monster horror now has to be aware of itself, as a contingent of people now live in the freedom and comfort of saying “I would willingly, gladly, even preferentially fuck that monster.” But I don’t know much about films or genres: that ground has been covered by cleverer people.
I don’t actually like horror or movies. What interests me at the moment is how horror of the 2020s has an element of perception and paying attention.
Multiple movies in one year discussed monsters that killed you if you perceived them. There are monsters you can’t look at; monsters that kill you instantly if you get their attention. Monsters where you have to be silent, look down, hold still: pray that they pass over you. M Zombies have changed from a hand-waved virus that covers extras in splashy gore, to insidious spores. A disaster film is called Don’t Look Up, a horror film is called Nope. Even trashy nun horror sets up strange premises of keeping your eyes fixed on something as the devil GETS you.
No idea if this is anything. (I haven’t seen any of these things because, unfortunately, I hate them.) Someone who understands better than me could say something clever here, and I hope they do.
But the thing I’m thinking about is what this will look like to the future, as the Victorian sex vampires and Cold War anxieties look to us. I think they’ll have a little sympathy, but they probably won’t. You poor little prey animals, the kids will say, you were awfully afraid of facing up to things, weren’t you?

My short time on Tumblr has taught me...
Soooo many simmers also play ffxiv and it's almost always near exclusively just those two games they play (obviously we all play other games from time to time but Sims and ff14 are the two that get attention on the daily). Just wanted to point out that observation because I love that so much!

Broke: Acknowledging that a character who is an objectively terrible person is also a complex and intentionally well thought out individual with different levels of nuance you can empathize with in some ways while not in others is immediately “woobifying” or “poor little meow meowifying” them.
Woke: “This character is a bad person” and “this character is still a person” are two statements that can, should and do coexist and admitting that they exhibit nuance and depth and are more than just their bad actions doesn’t immediately excuse or condone their bad actions or mean that you’re ignoring or trying to soften the canonical version of the character.
Bespoke: That’s the whole point, that’s always been the point, to be made to empathize with horrible people so you can understand that they can be anyone, that bad people can be likeable, can be interesting, can be human, are human, and it’s scary to think about all the ways they’re just like you and all the ways they’re just like everything you hate, forcing the use of critical skills in media analysis, forcing a confrontation of the duality of man.
Whatever Level is Above Bespoke: But sometimes, yeah, sure, maybe they are a poor little meow meow, what are you gonna do, get a lawyer
