So this is very random and more or less a 'crack treated seriously' idea but I keep thinking of it every time I listen to the Captain America movie soundtracks.
AU where the serum gives Steve the ability to hear the 'soundtrack' around him. Of course he doesn't tell anyone because it'd make him look like he's crazy but he slowly catches on to what seems to be happening.
He picks up the USO dances really fast
He legendary at knowing when something bad is going to happen because he can hear the boss music
He's unconsciously good at timing his 'heroic' moves and moments since he can hear the pace pick up
He can vibe check someone instantly
Just imagine:
Steve on a mission with the Commandos: *Hydra music starts playing*
Steve: Ah, great we got company
Commandos: ???
Steve in the car with Natasha and Sam: *Winter Soldier track starts playing*
Steve: oh no
Everyone: How do you always get so pumped up for missions?
Steve: *bopping along to the action music*
*Pierce's character gets introduced with concerning undertones in the orchestra*
Steve: I don't like you
Steve in the elevator with the STRIKE team: *ominous music growing*
I was discussing with friends what Brushbug's teeth could be like, as one does, and we've got some pretty terrifying ideas (that I absolutely need to draw) one of them being hamster teeth since they're rodents too right
AND THEN I FOUND THIS???
THEY REALLY DO?????
They're really just long hamsters god 😭😭 I don't know what to think
random but I’ve been working on moving my body in a way that breaks free from diet culture and focuses on building physical strength and it makes me feel so good, life has been a lot better lately 🌞
For those of you who watched the movie Gettysburg directed by Ron Maxwell, you will know that it is very flawed. There’s confederate propaganda, no gore (it’s a war movie, c’mon), only one black person who’s role is silent in the film, and a horrible representation of Pickett’s Charge.
But if you’ve watched it you know that there’s some hot men in there, you can learn quite a bit about the battle of Gettysburg from it (I’d suggest actually researching it though, don’t rely fully on this movie), and the queer-coded characters.
The characters are accidentally queer-coded (two in particular, Lo Armistead and Win Hancock), but there’s also some scenes that are… kinda 💅. Like the intense handshake between Reynolds and Buford.
So my question is; how the hell did Ron Maxwell accidentally queer-coded these characters so hard? I’m just wondering how that went down.
I’m sorry for this post, it’s nine o’clock AM and I’m at my mental limit
I’ve been going through Doctor Who quotes because I remembered there was one that would be handy for Eddie and Chrissy, and here it is:
“It’s the oldest story in the universe. This one or any other. Boy and girl fall in love, get separated by events–war, politics, accidents in time. She’s thrown out of the hex or he’s thrown into it. Since then they’ve been yearning for each other across time and space. Across dimensions. This isn’t a ghost story, it’s a love story.” ~ ‘Hide’, series 7.
Wish I knew how to make edits/gifsets because everything about it just screams Hellcheer to me
