i can't remember if it's canon that yamato has his ears pierced?? i imagine maybe someday he'd get his brow pierced too

miyako wants to have nail-painting skills as good as mimi's, and the entire 02 crew offer to let her paint their nails for practice—just imagine iori, daisuke, ken, hikari, and takeru walking around with their nails painted and it's miyako's work? (chef's kiss)

sometimes the chosen host study parties with like lo-fi and snacks and various beverages and i bet mimi just goes for the food honestly but she doesn't get anything done cos she likes to chat and yamato and jou are So Done™

sora loves wax warmers and candles and her home always smells really nice

yamato develops a pretty solid skincare routine and if he goes without it, it makes him a little antsy. i bet it has at least 4-5 steps.

yamato's also pretty grumpy all the time, he has a Resting Bitch Face™, and takeru always insists that he's so nice and everyone's like, uh-huh, sure, buddy (cos in reality he's only soft for sunshine takeru and, by extension, hikari since she's takeru's best friend and taichi's kid sister; he still feels bad for making her cry that one time in og adventure)

IDEA: 01 & 02 digidestined out having dinner together. Jou & Yamato having flashbacks to their restaurant indentured servitude days with Digitamamon.

Everything is going fine; Yamato chiming in now and then, Jou actually relaxed & enjoying listening to his friends. Then Daisuke starts talking about how he wants to open a ramen shop. How great it will be. Thinks it will be pretty cool to work in a kitchen, chat with women customers. "If I can handle the soccer field, I can handle a kitchen" Yamato and Jou both going still. Faraway looks to their eyes, maybe a bead of sweat rolling down Yamato's temple...

Jou breaks his silence first, clearing his throat as he pushes up his glasses *anime glasses glare* "Daisuke-kun..." Have you ever worked in a restaurant before?" The table goes silent, all turning toward Jou "uhhhh, noo, I said--" but Daisuke doesn't get a word in as Jou plows past him "How much work? The hours?? Standing over the hot grill all day!" his voice growing louder and louder, careening "You have no idea what it's like..." Yamato says, voice soft yet knuckles white as he clenchs his napkin. His distant gaze fixed on the table "The dishes?!!" Jou shouts, waving his hands over his head trying to convey an ever growing stack of dishes "... you'll never see the sun or moon... you're trapped... " Yamato seemingly says to himself

"The stress!! Un-health-y. Heart attack," Jou's staccato shrieking Yamato suddenly looks up, his wide eyes staring right into Daisuke's, "You'll never see your family." Jou takes a hit from his inhaler, "It will kill you," he pants. "Cause of death: restaurant," still trying to catch his breath Squinting, Diasuke looks around the table for some sort of explanation, like what the fuck? And is met with pleading looks as he opens his mouth, "Chill ouuuut. Like either of you know anything about this. Psshhh" He sees Yamato snap. Hears it even-- the chair tipping over, crashing into the ground as he jumps to his feet, leering down at him. "Management are monsters! Evil!" voice threatening and the look in his eyes even more dangerous; grabbing a beer, he points it toward Diasuke.

"Sshhhh its ok, we're safe now," Jou tries to calm him, offering his inhaler. "We're ok." "YOU BETTER TREAT YOUR STAFF GOOD!!!!" ------ basically:

hey val! how are you doing? i spent most my day laying about, but i also read a few stories from a collection by helen oyeyami! its called what is not yours is not yours. its delightful! some of the stories have really interesting houses in them. the one i liked most is a house called the house of locks that is home to a murderous fish, a rapper prophet and have doors that never open right. there are more houses in the book and they house mundane magic people chasing and running from what they want. have u watched/read abt any interesting hauntings lately? are you looking forward to anything? anyways, i hope ur day is going well <3 <3 <3
