A forma irresponsável e um pouco hippie que Rapunzel e Flynn cuidavam de seus filhos era conhecida por toda Storydom. Então a história dos Fitzherbert não é segredo para ninguém, mas além dos boatos que inventavam e ninguém sabia qual era a verdade, tinham também os segredos dos próprios gêmeos. Ambos melhores amigos e unidos desde sempre, mesmo com as personalidades tão distintas. Criados da mesma forma e pelas mesmas pessoas, era estranho que tivessem se desenvolvido de maneiras diferentes, mas enquanto Matthew era a personificação de um príncipe encantado, Maxon era um grande mulherengo sem um pingo de responsabilidade afetiva. Ambos arrancavam suspiros das garotas - e talvez até de garotos - mas por motivos diferentes.
Desde que percebeu como usar o seu charme, Maxon se envolvia com diversas garotas, sem se importar se mentia ou enganava, apenas querendo se divertir. Até o dia em que deu o azar de se envolver com uma descendente de uma feiticeira. A garota não aceitou o descaso dele com o sentimento dela e lhe rogou uma praga, a qual ele até hoje precisa conviver com o fardo. Se Maxon beijasse os lábios da mulher que amava, ela cairia em um sono profundo e ficaria assim até que ele descobrisse o antídoto. O que, é claro, não era o famoso “beijo de amor verdadeiro”. Era algo complexo que ele, até hoje, nunca foi capaz de descobrir a cura. Inicialmente, não se importou com a tal maldição, já que era um babaca e nunca tinha se apaixonado. Até que, anos depois, viu a se mesmo perdidamente apaixonado e, no primeiro e último beijo que deu na moça, a viu desmaiar em seus braços. O corpo da menina se encontra adormecido até hoje.
Após o acontecido, que ninguém nunca soube e sequer sabe da maldição de Maxon, o rapaz continuou a agir como um babaca mulherengo, preferindo que todos pensem que ele é fútil e vazio, na tentativa de afastar as pessoas com quem se envolve. Nunca deixa algum sentimento evoluir, porque sabe que se apaixonar pela pessoa, jamais poderá beijá-la ou viver o seu amor. Dessa forma, ele acabou descobrindo o amor pela leitura e pela escrita, vivendo o que não pode na vida real, nos livros. Conheceu o Storypad e escreve contos, assinando com o nome de Pandora Valdez. Trabalha como bartender no Ousadia e Alegria, já que consegue fazer drinks especiais, além de ajudar a manter sua imagem de mulherengo e boêmio.

Richie Ramone vuelve a la Argentina
Richie Ramone vuelve a la Argentina presentando su nuevo trabajo LIVE TO TELL más clásicos de RAMONE.
Richie se unió a Ramones antes del lanzamiento de Subterranean Jungle a finales de 1982 y aparece en los dos videos musicales de ese álbum, a pesar de que no participó de las grabaciones. Grabó los álbumes Too Tough to Die, Animal Boy y Halfway to Sanity y aparece en las compilaciones, Greatest Hits, Loud, Fast Ramones: Their Toughest Hits, Weird Tales of the Ramones, y en el DVD en directo It's Alive 1974-1996. Downtown Sackville, N.B, business community reacts to closures
The downtown area of Sackville, New Brunswick is in a state of flux.
The students from Mount Allison University are gone for the summer and so too are some landmark businesses.
The Black Duck Bakery and Grocery closed over the weekend, and the Vogue Cinema closed its doors last week.
It all started when Joey’s Pizza and Pasta was destroyed by a fire on April 7.
Tantramar Mayor Andrew Black said it’s been a tough month for the downtown area.
“Well, it's taken some hits, especially with Joey's fire. The historical building itself, plus the restaurant closing down is a significant loss to the community. The Vogue Cinema as well which has been there for many, many years,” said Black.
Business owners and residents can't help but notice all the downtown closures around them.
Knuckles Truffles Chocolates owner Edward Knuckles said the downtown area is definitely facing some challenges right now.
“It’s in a very low state. I have to admit that,” said Knuckles. “We're not in prosperous times, so for people to rebuild it's going to be tenuous at best.”
Realtor Eddie De Jesus said he hasn’t seen things change this drastically this quickly.
“With Joey's burning down just about a month ago and the Vogue closing down last week and now with the news of the Black Duck closing it's a huge blow. We've never had three vacancies along this side of the street,” said De Jesus.
Tidewater Books owner Ellen Pickle said downtown Sackville is like a lot of communities.
“We've lost some businesses due to COVID. We've had losses due to fire. We lost Joey's unfortunately due to fire and that's a business we've had for over thirty years in our downtown. But overall, I don't think Sackville is any worse shape than any other downtown community,” said Pickle.
Black said they try to promote the municipality the best they can through various groups and organizations.
While the community is obviously disappointed with the closures, residents and business owners said there’s still a lot of charm and appeal to the downtown area.
“There's an arts community here, there's a gallery here, there's a record store here,” said Sackville resident Peter Manchester. “There's some restaurants. I think we could use more diversity in restaurants, but people just like hanging out here.”
Black said the history and the look is what appeals to him.
“I guess the feeling of vibrancy. The light posts and the sidewalks and the work that the town to revitalize Bridge Street over the last few years. Bridge Street and Main Street,” said Black. “So just that feel of a downtown community.”
Pickle said it’s a combination of music, art and architecture.
“My building is over 100 years old,” said Pickle. “We have the water fowl park in the middle of town so we have people coming who walk the water fowl park, pop into a café, have something to eat. Then pop into a book store and buy a book. It’s really an interesting community.”
There is some positive news coming to the downtown. The businesses on Bridge Street will be getting a new neighbour soon.
A pet store is expected to open in the former Mel's Tea Room in the coming weeks.

TWO POEMS / Joey De Jesus
booze blessing incantation
the airborne spray of the surf
curls around the tongues of thirsty children
orpiment spirit spirit of wine
waves race like grief to the coast
toward you in the prime your drink
swollen bladderwort flotsam
the sun sets in Libra as vultures
lurch in palm fronds
and drape their wings over bleached granite
washed in gold washed in lye
curse nausea and blisters
curse the dizzy, curse the thirst
curse the burning world
curse the aurate loudness of the sun.
its billionfold legions
mutter t’s simple blessings
think of a burning oxcart wheel bearing the face of a tortured man
think, it’s just around the corner
devil’s bit devil’s shoestring
a silver fish trollops on a hissing bed of shells
amethyst bottomfeeders spit up their blue stomachs into sea
anemones shine like cosmic prisms. holy king, yes
there is something in the water
crowned in coral
water prison water judgment
spell “thirst”
this incantation old as poetry
a body crosses an ocean in one line
so what need of impure salt retrieved from a dead man’s home?
what need of fistfuls of grave earth and egg yolk?
no yellow candlewax at each cardinal point
no oil of lilies no oil of Christ
no sigil written in seven strokes
no vengeful spirit trapped in cracked glass
no skirmish at the shattered irons of hell
no hopeful recipe for the hereafter
dear astral world,
keep us safe from saltwater
you are drowning

Or The Violent Birth of a New God
who ushers in his pantheon
bantering an auric brouhaha,
heathen-thick, kindred
to clustered lightning,
an unholy circuit tamping
the dust down, surrounded
by a cacology I like to study,
gooning into gob-godform
a cronyism—a pagan
petroglyph to pazuzu,
a vainglorious everglade leech
egg-fat and farcical, embedded
in the metonic mechanism
of a cosmic mouth—
how is it that in such an age,
I’d know neither conquest
nor defeat? An eternity I begin
my brocade industry
as nebula in constant conception
against the anemic efforts
of this enemy who breaks
the phantom-vault
of my larynx, my lynx-myth,
gaseous protostar, protoplanet
corkscrew-chilled in concentric
spiral, doubled-over, doubled
to no purpose. How I will
assimilate him
how I will ruin him in the pull
of everything me
