There's gotta be a bit in s3 where Crowley exclaims "Jesus Christ!" and Jesus immediately materializes next to him like "Hey man, what do you need?"

What if the first scene of S3 is the fall?
No, see, it makes sense, cuz S1 was them meeting for the first time after the fall, which sets the tone for their friendships, but also does a fantastic job of setting up their characters. Crowley questions things, even the Ineffable plan, and Aziraphale is giving, even risking falling to help humans, but still has unwavering faith in God's plan.
S2 was them meeting for the first time ever, and shows the beginning of their character development, as Crowley starts asking questions, a little recklessly, because the beauty of Creation (the beauty of something they created together, if you'll allow me) is at risk and the beginning of Aziraphale's toxic relationship which heaven, which actually stems from his desire to protect Crowley, as he tries to fix the problem by trying to reinforce the rules and their positions in the hierarchy (It's not our place to question the Almighty). It establishes their character flaws, which will eventually cause their separation at the end of the season. Crowley tends to be reckless, wants quick solutions to problems, and Aziraphale wants the system to work because it's all he's ever known.
So, why the fall in S3? I think it'll make a neat parallel. S2 ends with their last separation, and S3 starts with their first separation. But also, it would show their relationship fundamentally changing forever, the barrier between them being erected, and show how they grow into their flaws. It would link the S1 opening with the S2 opening, both thematically and chronologically, and be in keeping with Good Omens style of starting with important Biblical moments to raise philosophical questions.
A lot of people think it might start with them meeting Jesus. While I would LOVE to see that, I don't think that's gonna happen, simply because Good Omens always starts with a scene of the two of them together, and as established in S1E3, Aziraphale and Crowley were never with Jesus at the same time (Aziraphale asks Crowley is he's ever met him). (And also because, if it does indeed start like this, with Aziraphale and Crowley separate, and not together, I will-- well, I'm sure most people would relate to what I feel here :'))
Anyway, from what I remember, Neil Gaiman has already written the opening for the third season, so we just have to wait and see for now. And support the strikes

Good Omens Incorrect Quotes 5
Still not mine.
Crowley as Aziraphale: *gets set on fire and screams in agony*
Crowley as Aziraphale: Nah, I’m just kidding. Fire does nothing to me.
Crowley: I'm a firm believer in "if you're going to fail, you might as well fail spectacularly."
Warlock, T-posing in the doorway: Greetings, Nanny.
Crowley, not looking up from their coffee: Good morning, problem child.
Aziraphale: Please say words of encouragement to me so I don’t murder someone right now.
Crowley: There are no books in prison.
Aziraphale: *sighs* Thank you.
Aziraphale: Jesus Saves.
Crowley: Passes to Moses, SCOOOOOORE!
Crowley: Well, if you're not at least a little bit gay for your friends, then what kind of friend are you?
Crowley: If you don't stop talking, I'm going to jump out of that window.
Aziraphale: ...We're on the ground floor.
Crowley: I know but I want a dramatic exit.
Aziraphale: I made this friendship bracelet for you.
Crowley: You know, I’m not really a jewelry person.
Aziraphale: You don’t have to wear…
Crowley: No, I’m gonna wear it forever. Back off.
Crowley: So jellyshish-
Aziraphale, laughing: JELLYSHISH!?
Crowley: You know what I meant!
Crowley: What's gone wrong, Aziraphale?
Aziraphale: Hey! That’s one heck of a thing to say to a person. Just because I’m calling doesn’t mean there’s a crisis.
Crowley: That’s technically true, I suppose. Why are you calling?
Aziraphale: Well... There’s a crisis.
Crowley, hungover: Please tell me I'm imagining that I claimed I was king of the ducks.
Aziraphale: I would, but then I would be lying to the King of All Ducks.
Aziraphale: Crowley? What are you doing here?
Crowley, wearing a hawaiian shirt, sunglasses and holding a gatorade: My best.
Newt: I’m here for the cult stuff.
Shadwell: How did you find us?
Newt: I saw your ad on craigslist.
Aziraphale: I am in charge of this disaster!
Crowley: I have a name, you know.
Crowley, wiping tears from their eyes: If you love someone, set them free. If they come back, it’s meant to be…
Aziraphale: I’m literally just going to the store.
Crowley: I have issues.
Gabriel: Finally, you admit it! The first step to redemption is accept-
Crowley: With you.
Crowley: *on the phone with Anathema* I can’t talk right now, I’m doing hot girl shit.
Anathema: You’re pulling Oreos apart and saving off the frosting to make a mega Oreo, aren’t you.
Crowley: Maybe.
Crowley: Now, the recipe calls for 2 shots of vodka.
Crowley: *upends the bottle*
Aziraphale: Sorry, I'm late to the party. I've been doing things.
Crowley, entering in an unbuttoned shirt: I got caught up doing things too.
Anathema: Wow, Aziraphale was late too! What a coincidence!
Aziraphale: You spent all our money on THIS??
Crowley, putting tiny raincoats on ducklings: They live outside. They need this.
Crowley: Where are you going?
Aziraphale: To get MYSELF a gift cause somebody didn't get me one!
Crowley: I told you I did! Its coming here on Friday!
Anathema, knowing full well that Crowley got Aziraphale an engagement ring: *eating popcorn*
Crowley: The only thing keeping me from running away and hiding from society for the rest of my life is spite. I could disappear forever, but there are some bitches whose downfalls I have yet to witness, and I wanna be around when that happens.
Aziraphale: You’re drunk.
Crowley: Correction: drinking. Present tense. Grammar, Aziraphale.
Aziraphale: Do you see yourself as a glass half-full or glass half-empty kind of person?
Anathema: Half-full, definitely.
Anathema: Half-full and constantly rising.
Anathema: Soon the water will escape its container and consume us all.
Crowley: Okay, but what if we went to dinner not as friends this time?
Aziraphale: AS ENEMIES?!
Crowley:

on crowley's loneliness
there's sth that has been sitting with me vis a vis Crowley, loneliness, and what the fandom, largely, has made of it... and it is the notion, simply put, that Crowley is - well - lonely.
but of course he is, you might say, I've even got textual evidence for it! and you might quote Good Omens Season 2 Episode A Companion to Owls directed by Douglas MacKinnon and written by John Finnemore, and you might point to the final conversation of the Job Minisode, when they agree that being a demon/angel who goes along with hell/heaven as far as he can is...lonely!
and, yes, that's right and true.
and yet. still. I want to argue against Crowley being lonely. at least to some extent. I'm not saying crowley isn't lonely, it's more about how that loneliness is sometimes portrayed/interpreted/understood?
I think we need to look at Crowley's loneliness on different levels: his loneliness vis a vis humanity and his loneliness vis a vis the occult/his job/his place in the ineffable scheme of things
because it's right there in the quote, isn't it? it's lonely to be a demon who doesn't feel part of hell. it's not about being lonely on earth with the humans.
when it comes to humanity and friendships to humans, regardless how close or not they may be, Crowley is not lonely! he forms attachments, he meets and knows tons of people, he schemes, he has fun (Jane Austen anyone???? I mean it's actual canon) and yes of course they all die - of course Crowley's human friendships, just like Aziraphale's, are always slightly detached because , well y'know, they will outlive every single human they will ever meet, and that will influence your attachment style. they don't even really meet humans as equals, arguably, but they both have been shown to continuously engage in friendships, whether those are superficial acquaintances (like neighbor Maggie to Aziraphale) or genuine connections (like Leonardo Da Vinci or Jesus, both canonically really close relationships of Crowley's!!) but it's not even the fact that human friendships are fleeting that makes him lonely in the end - it doesn't cheapen the experience. he's used to people coming and going. it's the way things are.
where the loneliness hits, and yes it hits hard, is on the supernatural level. hated by heaven and hell etc etc. before he became closer with Aziraphale (so roughly around Job) he was truly a solo agent, all alone against the not-world, and this experience of defying both hell and his arguable purpose as a demon made him lonely where it mattered most. but Aziraphale has since been with him, they are the same, they are a group of the two of them and they are only lonely together, which is a different kind of loneliness. it holds defiance and partnership - us against the world.
he still struggles with purpose, both his own and that of the universe, he struggles with his own love for humans and God's seeming indifference to them, and there's loneliness in that too, or at least pain, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have any friends??
ah I think this is the bit that gets me! that people think he doesn't have any friends! or that he doesn't have a life outside of Aziraphale! there we are, I have arrived at the core of my problem apparently. (idk if I'm making any sense with this incoherent rambling, I'm making it up as I go)
but basically I just have been irked by seeing this idea a few to many times that's basically: 'aziraphale is a happy little socialite who draws friends to him like moths to an angelic flame while crowley needily and sadly and longingly waits by himself for the angel to grace him with his company' (this is slightly exaggerated maybe but you get my drift, and I'm sure you've seen takes like that) (I love pining Crowley as much as anyone believe me, and oh boy does he do pine - but you know what I mean right??) (I just love this stupid optimistic and loving demon too much)

Remember when Friday night was X-Files night?
Tumblr media
Crowley remembers!
You can find out just how much he loves the show, and his journey with Muriel to solve the mystery of the missing archangel in Pass the Remote, Angel. (Rated M).
This one is an oldie, but a goodie. Well...I think it's a goodie, but then again, I wrote it, so I'm biased. 😆
I posted it today on @goodomensafterdark for the first time, to spread the paranormal love. Summary and excerpt below.
Summary:
Aziraphale has returned to Heaven, leaving Crowley a tv binge-watching wreck. However, healing can come from the most unlikeliest of places. While Muriel has been instructed to provide daily reports of the demon’s emotional state, they find that sharing time together, even by watching a scary show, can be the catalyst that builds friendships. And they’d probably both be couch potatoes by now if the Supreme Archangel hadn’t just gone missing.
Excerpt:
In the first week following Aziraphale’s return to Heaven, Crowley had experienced multiple stages of grief. When he stood by his car, he was in denial. When he stole Aziraphale’s tartan blanket from the bookshop, he was in the throes of anger. And for the several days that he sat in his chair trying to talk to a God that never listens, he engaged in bargaining.
Now he was in the sad-TV-binge-watching stage. And when you’re an occult being that has just broken up with an angel you never technically dated, you binge the X-Files.
It had been one of Crowley’s favorite shows during the 90s after the Golden Girls went off the air. He had found most of the tales preposterous, but he had become rather invested in Mulder and Scully’s relationship. It was clear the two humans wanted each other and the sexual tension was excruciating to watch, all of which made the show maddening and addictive. His emotional attachment to the paranormal crime fighting duo’s relationship used to bother him, but back then he could never put his finger on exactly why.
And now here he was, over twenty years later, lying on the couch with his fourth bottle of Merlot and watching season three, having an epiphany that transcended the manifestation of Jesus.
“I’m Mulder.”
Mulder. Passionate, intuitive, tall. Slightly unhinged, but reasonably paranoid. Always trying to convince the stubborn Agent Scully of the Truth and failing even when the Truth is staring directly in her face in the form of a giant galactic spaceship. And he was “spooky.” Crowley liked spooky.
And then there was Scully. Kind, intelligent, a bit short. Often pouty, but adorably cute. Always so sure of her faith in God. And clearly pining for Mulder while pushing him away for years because she didn’t think she could ever have a real future with him.
F**king Scully.
He considered throwing what was left of the bottle of merlot at the television.

Remembering something forgotten ————Where is Jimmy boy?
I feel I may find some thing that be hidden in S2.New to tumblr, and English is not my first language, hope what I want to express can be understand correctly, and plz forgive me if there's errors of some religion words.
Tumblr media
The famous magic theory has mentioned many things wrong in S2, and some plots are deliberately set to be unobtrusive, suspicious slides off them like water slides off ducks. But the drawback of magic theory is that it sets the whole script to nothingness. The key to solving puzzles is to have practical meaning. It is a fallacious to make the whole story illusory just for put all the contents into the theory.
For abstract :S2 contains a hidden story line of the resurrection of Jesus under the love story.Like mentioned in the bonus video,S2 contains not only large amounts of Easter eggs for the second coming in S3,but really a character might be Jesus under the noses of the audience. So for me the S2 is like Neil Gaiman rushing into Amazon Prime’s senior office, throwing the script on the desk and roaring:“GIVE ME SEASON 3 OR GIVE ME DEATH!!!”
Before we begin,I need to clarify some roles or directions.
First of all, according to some puzzle we have in S1&S2,like the body change at the end of S1,or the hidden goats in 202,the clues of mystery in the show always have an obvious answer, even it feels make no sense before realize the link between. All the information from the focusing places in the picture can be used. But like the shortage of the magic theory,it is unacceptable to distort the story itself just to fix a theory.Actually I still not figure out all the puzzles in S2,so in the second part of this post about my personal theory of who is telling the story and who is watching, I will point out that it's an assumption but not an inference.
Secondly, there are multiple story lines in S2,three love stories above, the hidden line about Jim/Resurrection of Jesus, the main line frame to explain the logic of the whole script, and the story of Metatron. What's more, the crew also prepared a large amount of Easter eggs. Some of them, such as the tardis bgm in the musical instrument store, can be seen as a simply fan joy.
But there are also some Easter eggs not only Easter eggs, but also related to the plot or hidden story. For example,I have write a article about the Blitz minisode is the thing actually in the box(didn't trans it in tumblr yet),because the prop books in he box displayed in 206 is two of the "Lost Quartos" of Shakespeare plays mentioned in the Good Omens Book.It could be an Easter egg,but when you notice that the plot of the prototype of these two plays are mentioned about the bullet(arrow) catch and the show girl, which can link to the Blitz minisode specifically, that makes this Easter egg a Clue.
So after accepting these premises, let's start the detective game.
First of all,we need to question ourselves:There is a character who has his own personal poster and promotional video, who is in the story from the beginning to the end,but no one say goodbye to him?Even Nina and Maggie have a "say goodbye forever",even Beelzebub said thank you to Aziraphale, but this absolute S2 main character had never be mention again in the end.
Where is Jim?
After Gabriel recovered his memory, the friendship established between he and Crowley and Aziraphale vanished immediately. This unbalanced weird feeling was washed away by the coming broken-up and makes the audience have no time to think about that. Actually,it's quite unnatural because the relationship between Jim and Aziracrow have a complete grown arc.We can see Crowley finally give Jim hot chocolate,Aziraphale say to Jim that he said he will protect, and he well, and at the beginning Jim said happily he have two friends. But when Gabriel recovered his memory,Aziraphale look like want to drown Gabriel into holey water and distory him as soon as possible. The relationship they built during six episodes simply disappeared like the undropped second shoe upstairs. The story about Jim is far from over.
That's my explanation about why Jim and Gabriel are two different characters, and also, the rationality of the existence of the hidden story. Then let's come to the key question:
Who is Jim?
In S1,the special effect design used a red fabric to show the blood of Jesus in the crucifixion
Tumblr media
and in S2,they obviously find a cheaper way(considering the price of tomato maybe more expensive) to express blood.
Tumblr media
Look at these tomatoes here. The released bonus video makes this clue more obvious.Because they deleted the plot about the reason why these tomatoes scattered, but keep this pic in the tight minutes limit. The reason is so obvious :It's a CLUE!
Jesus was stabbed in the ribs and bled, his hands were painful by nailed, and he was forced to drink myrrh. Our Jim is much luckier, his arms are no longer hurts and have sweet hot chocolate.
It is amazing to find so much connected information after realize the story line of Jim,which in turn proves Jim's story is not my delusion.
First thing is the costumes. Apart from the daily look in the bookshop, let's have a look at some other looks of Jim:
Tumblr media
Pay attention to the posture of Jim preaching in Pic 3 and the cross formed by the whole shape. Let's take a look at the image of Christ in a religious painting:
Tumblr media
Pay attention to clothing and posture. And the familiar posture of holding the cross in the lower right corner. Although most of the scriptures believe that another person helped Jesus carry the cross on the way of crucifixion, but some other view, for example, in<Gospel of John>,believed that Christ himself carried the cross. This familiar gesture corresponds to another neglected clue in 203, which is the purpose of the seemingly unsuccessful trip to Edinburgh: the mysterious statue of Gabriel.
Tumblr media
In another word, we can say that it is not Gabriel's statue at all, but Jim's statue.
Far-fetched? In fact, S2 had already showed an image of Christ:
Tumblr media
Look at this similar outfit, I think the correspondence to Jim's identity is clearly. By the way, cleansing of the temple occurs in the Holy Week, remember that cute feather duster?I like this joke. And Crowley do be kicked out of the house.
Actually, we have even more obvious hints, that is in the Jane Austen's ball. During the ball, everyone is dancing, but what was Jim doing?
Tumblr media
He's giving away vol-au-vent. The hint to the Last Supper is so obvious here that it's my strongest evidence for Jim's story.
There are some other supporting details about Jim is Jesus:
The code of seven: the rhythm that Jim showed when he was playing with the lamp and his mouth: — — - - -
Two long and three short, which is the number 7 in Morse code. Remember how God loves 7? Jesus is the Son of God in religion, and in the <Gospel of John> Jesus was considered as an incarnation of the divine Word (Logos),who not only speaks God's word, but is God's word. I found this clue because I felt that the plot of Jim playing with his body at the ball was too long as a pornographic joke, and finally found that he played his body in a rhythm, which is as same as how he play the lamp.(And now Neil had answered that IS scripted!) Every scene in S2 makes sense.
Another allusion shows Jim's connection to God is the book he dropped:
Tumblr media
<My best games of chess>is a Easter egg of <A Matter of Life and Death>.But also,as I will mention below about God play chess game in the ineffable bureaucracy, and the chess in Aziraphale's book shop which never be used. All these implies that the development of the world is under ineffable manipulation of God. And here, Jim drops the book, complaining that things didn't stay at where he put them. This is an God's perspective complaint. At the same time, it once again emphasizes the main purpose of Good Omens book.
Also as one comment in my original article, someone mention that Jim rearrange book in his own way is just what God do.
And Crowley told Jim jump out the window, which is one of the temptations Jesus hered from demon.
What's more, let's consider about Jim's prophecy:
First:"I remember when the morning star sang together, and all the Angels of God shouted of joy." which we know God said this in Job's minisode.
The third one:"If it happens again I can make it seem like it's an institutional problem" said by Metatron, who is the voice of God.
And the second one:"There will come a tempest, and darkness, and great storms. And the dead will leave their graves and walk the earth once more. And there will be great lamentations."The first hale comes from <Hebrews 12:18>,describing the ominous sign sent by God.The last half is from <Matthew 27:53> describes what happened after Jesus died. And this is the only one that Gabriel himself didn't hear—is evidence that Jim is not Gabriel but Christ.
It can be seen that most of these prophecies are related to God and Jesus. Although these prophecies correspond to the plots in the main storyline, they are all hints of the resurrection of Christ when they are connected together.
There's another clue here, and it's highlighted in the latest trivia message.S2 gives a unit of miraculou power to bring a person back from the dead: Lazarii. The prototype of the word said in trivia isLazarus,: Lazarus of Bethany, who was resurrected by Jesus four days after his death. This miracle is the last one before Jesus's crucifixion, and it is also the most important miracle, because it means that Jesus finally defeated his final enemy: death.
And in S2, the day Jim arrived is Sunday, because Nina mentioned that it all started with the blackout last week. And the ball is on Thursday night. So Gabriel died on Sunday and was resurrected four days later, corresponding to the resurrection of Lazarus. And the "tiny" miracle for hiding Jim's required the power to resurrect Lazarus 25 times, and it's hard to explain why this was so costly, except for Jesus himself.(I still not figure out what the number of 25 means.Once finished, I may add it here.) And the last day in S2 when Jim disappeared was Good Friday.
Some clues about coming:Jim keep saying that he came to find Aziraphale, but it was Beelzebub that Gabriel was looking for. And some other lines about coming:
Tumblr media
The first shot of present time, there is a same screen in S1,that one is for God, but this one:
Tumblr media
"Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of ..."<Matthew 24:30>
The Son of Man descended from the sky/clouds, and there are also some views believe that God will be accompanied by angels and trumpets. We heard the sound of trumpets when Michael and the others came in the 202. Let's take a look at some posters and screenshots.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The feather representing Jim falls from the sky, and Jim's cup not only has a heart for Gabriel's story, but also a smoke from the top.
Tumblr media
And this pic of Jim walking down from the upstairs. And Jim's voluntary devotion when he wearing the feather coat, which is what Jesus did.
Clues about music:There's some hints in the story of the ineffable bureaucracy.Look at these two elder men playing card game and chess in the background.
Tumblr media
These pics shows that the story of ineffable bureaucracy was under the ineffable control of God.And in the second pic when they fall in love, we can hear the BGM of Every Day, which we can say it is God playing this song about the doomsday. And Beelzebub said:
Tumblr media
It seems means the Every Day segment in the ending theme may contain clues. But I lack of knowledge of music so this puzzle is not for me.While when Aziraphale asked him where is this mysterious song came from,Jim answered:
Tumblr media
And one of the funniest hints: When Gabriel was lost, Metatron said there's no need for alarm so just find him, but the person who hidden Gabriel would be erased, and the miracle of hiding Gabriel would immediately raise the alarm. It can be seen that it is Jim but not Gabriel who is important.
This is the fun of decryption. You will find out more and more clues when you find the answer. There are so many informations in S2 just like cookie crumbs heading to the candy house.
At this point, Jim's story line has almost been clarified. The miracle done by Aziraphale and Crowley together works so well that even the audience doesn't notice Jim anymore. At the end of the story, they achieved their original purpose, and Jim disappeared in silence. No one in both heaven, hell, earth and the audience in front of the TV noticed this.
Some other questions:who wants to hide Jim? Why? And who set up these clues, hoping someone to find out?
Before answer these questions, the following discussion of will contain lots of delusion, because of the lack of conclusive evidence. Just put it here as my personal theory of what is the frame of S2.
First of all, according to the discussion above, we know that under the sweet love story in S2, like S1,our story is actually shrouded in the shadow of a coming doomsday. So, who is telling the story in S2, and who is listening to the story?
There is a humanoid creature who has a habit of talking nonsense when he wants to hide his ture thoughts. For example, when he was bullied by other angel colleagues, he uttered a lot of nonsense about choosing sides, or when he wants to misleading his husband to doing what he unwilling to do,he portrayed the threat from Metatron as a wonderful chance with a lot of subjective narrative and gags.
That's my piont, if there is a cheature who wants to hide the existence of Jim, and in the narration of the story of S2, cleverly misleading the audience to focus on the love story, there is no one other but the greatest magician Mr. Fell who fooled Nefertiti. Just like the coin magic he showed in the Blitz minisode, the farthing has vanished! Aziraphale's conjuring is so skillful that it had been highlighted again later in the replacing of the photo (evidence).
The book of Job is displayed by Aziraphale, and the minisode in Edinburgh is directly the diary of angel, and after the ball, Nina asked Aziraphale when it all started, he answered:
Tumblr media
He aready figured it out! It's a pity that stuff happened one after another, he and Crowley never had a chance to communicate later, and they started the next journey in different directions in the end.
The entire S2 is like Aziraphale's adorable detective clippings, narrative by time-line with pasting a few clues he thinks are relevant.
And the blitz minisode is the clue he left to the audience after completing his wonderful magic show. This clue was placed in the box carried by Jim, and after showing the items in the box, the lens shows Aziraphale had a quick look at them. These items are the key to avoiding something treble. I won't go into details about the specific plot, but just want to mention that when Neil wrote the key plot of season 3, he must be so proud about it that he wrote this line in the magic shop: “I've find my showstopper.” And Considering that this magic was chosen by Aziraphale, it is also possible that the corresponding plot in the third season may came from Terry, and Neil wrote this sentence with infinite nostalgia and admiration to his old friend. The Blitz minisode embodies the importance of trust and cooperation, and repeatedly emphasizes Aziraphale's magic skill. What's more, the Professor's Nightmare which setting in the middle of this three acts play,Neil retweeted the actor playing this magic,it is definitely important!
Tumblr media
The picture here almost deliberately captures Aziraphale in the mirror. This camera language means that the actual narrator here is Aziraphale himself in the mirror. He is proudly showing how he used Several story lines cleverly hide all the clues in S2, and imply the progress of the whole three seasons is showed in the Blitz minisode.
By the way, this does not mean that the entire Blitz minisode is fake,my opinion is that all the minisodes in S2 are real, but be added some clues base on the original story. Therefore, the interpretation for minisode should be to dig out the unnatural places as clues, but keep the whole story as real.
So, who is the expected audience of this complex structure story of S2, and who is the minisode hidden in the box written for?
Who else can Aziraphale write this for, who can Aziraphale hand over all the secrets, who can Aziraphale entrust his back and life, and who does Aziraphale need to trick God for sending this information to save the world from doomsday?
I don't know if anyone has noticed, but there is a very weird scene in the title sequence, which is the last theater. Although the magic theory directed everyone's attention to the book of life that the curtain might represent (this does make sense partly, which I'll mention later), but it's easy to be ignored that the theater of the blitz minisode has been shown before.
Tumblr media
Where we can see the curtains is another theater, or we can say: a screening room.
Tumblr media
And there is no screening room in the entire S2. A couple of scenes that don't contain in the show in the title sequence, one at the end is the holy mountain, which is an allusion to Jim's story line. The tunnel at the beginning is also closely related to what I will talk about later. And the rest is this screening room which never appeared.
Wait a minute, there's a screening room, isn't?
Tumblr media
This is the only screening room in the Good Omens TV universe. This old Victoria Station cartoon theater was long since demolished in our word, but Neil has a romantic explanation for it: because Crowley mentioned he liked it, Aziraphale kept it around. And you can also see the popcorn Crowley ate in S1 in the title sequence:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The X-ray video also mentioned there's some Communion wafer in the popcorn box.
The bonus video also gives another supporting clue to this idea, that is, many of the characters on the side of this theater are from S1. This is an Easter egg, but may also imply that this scene should go back to the first season to find clues.
And we all know that Crowley came here to sit down and collect his thoughts as Neil mentioned in his Q&A,which was exactly happened after they broke up at the bandstand. That maybe the reason that everyone was killed by the ending of S2, but Neil just compared it as what happened in bandstand.
So here's my story time:
S2 was happened when Crowley hiding in the cartoon theater after leaving, looking back carefully about what's happening before all this chaos. I believe that like the audience can't believe Aziraphale will leave Crowley because of Heaven, just like Mr. Yang would never give up maintaining him car.Crowley will definitely feel that there is something wrong after the end of S2, then try to chewing the memory carefully, reading the funny detective hand book that his angel left him, and finally project this intertwined story of S2 with memory of two of them.
And the blitz minisode is the magic instruction booklet left by Aziraphale. It may seem obscure, but everything the assistant gentlemen needs to know had already written in it.Just like he left the clues to Crowley in the bar even after discorporating. Will Crowley come back? For audience it's sadlly that we can only know that until season three release.
Personally, I think the future story has already be told in the candlelight dinner in 1941.
In addition, there is another important clue in this theater, which is the Book of Life highlight in the magic theory.
I don't have a perfect explanation for this either, but I can at least piece together a vague picture from the clues available.
First of all, when the curtain was burned, there was an obvious sound of flipping book. The book of life and erasure seemed to correspond to these. But here's a clue, the image was burned. In fact, among the various ominous signs about the resurrection of Jesus/Jesus, black sky, storms, trumpets, etc. all appear, but there is one sign that is mentioned in S2, but never happened.
Tumblr media
This prophecy also from the book of Job, and it describes Leviathan, the controlling meaning of it I had mentioned in the analysis of the story of ineffable bureaucracy. However, this prophecy is literally a description of flame. And this material object is a matchbox. It must be noted that there used to be matches in it.
Tumblr media
Forget about the fireballs in 202, this is the only thing about fire in S2.
So where else have matches?
Tumblr media
Exactly, there was only one audience in the theatre where the curtain was set on fire, so it is no surprise that Crowley burned them.
If we assume that Crowley is the one who burned the smoke ring on the Book of Life, where did he get the Book of Life?
The first mention of the Book of Life is in Michael's phone call. She said to the person opposite: "Book of Life?"
The reply is: " I'm on it." That may be the answer to stat hunting Gabriel, or it may be because the book of life is in the hands of the person beside the phone. Because the debate between heaven and hell in 206 had mentioned that the right of heaven to propose punishment, and then hell will execute it.
So who is the person on the other end of the phone? Shax threatens Aziraphale that Crowley risks destruction, but not erasure. And Beelzebub was the one who told Crowley that the extreme sanctions would be the Book of Life.
Another clue that has been forgotten is what appeared on the curtain of 205, and it is also a clue that I have not solved before. Only after I solved it, I have finish my own story.
On the curtain of 205 are the bull-headed demon and the white-haired demon. They even have character names in the cast list, but unfortunately the main storyline did not mention it at all. I haven't figured out what's the means of the bull-headed demon yet, but the plot of the white-haired demon is to hand Shax some letters to Crowley.
That's it, Shax handed Crowley letters twice in S2, and the second time was particularly abrupt on the night of ball. When she first sent him the letters, Shax mentioned that she took them to hell, but the finance department said they can't accept Shax's signature as replacement."Bills mostly." We can see Crowley throwing the bills into a trash bin.
It can be seen that being burned from the curtain is indeed an effective way of making people forget about it. I also completely ignored these letters until I noticed the white-haired demon. After throwing away the bill, what was left by Crowley?
After laying out the clues, here comes story time:
In my version of story, the book of life should be kept by hell, and heaven is responsible for authorizing rewriting. In order to keep their lover, Beelzebub sent the Book of Life to Crowley by letter. Crowley, on the other hand, carefully burns away what he thinks needs to be hidden in the theater.
He hided what's really inside the box in 201 . Looking closely at the pic of when the box outside the bookshop, it can be seen that the fly actually fly into the box. And in 206 Crowley emptied the storage of the box made it seem unimportant.
The Job's story in 202 and the statue in 203 are all related to Jim. After burning these, the clues about the prophecy are left behind. We can see Crowley firstly talking to Job, and it is Crowley who find the status. (Looking at a statue of the annoying boss in the extremely cold midnight,Crowley you are really a good at planning a date)
In 204, there are too many people on the curtain and the effect is not so well. Many people aware of the three zombies who inexplicably disappeared in the long river of time. These three zombies also died because of Crowley.
The white-haired demon in 205 has been mentioned above, but I haven't solved the bull-headed demon yet. They have only one thing in common, they all wear masks on earth. And masks are used to cover the facial features of inhuman demons, which they obviously don't need. And they only spoke to Crowley.
The clue for 206 is the halo, I think after watching the last 15 minutes, no one will keep entangled that the halo is actually a signal for starting the war. After the arrival of the heaven and hell, Crowley directly asserted that there would not have a war and fooled the matter.
Then what is his purpose of burning these pics?
01 02 03 even 04 are clues to the second coming. 05 is about the receiving the book of life. 06 is to suspend the war.
Now you can see why I think I'm telling a story with such an explosion of clues, because these clues are obviously not connected perfectly. Some kind of framework can be seen by them, but it seems like can be put together more neatly. I will edit it here if I solve more clues in the future.
So as telling a story, what Crowley did was hidding the information he had that might reveal the event of the coming of Jim, and also hide the fact that he had the Book of Life, and temporarily stabilized the situation.
According to my person theory, book of life is handled by hell, and the authority to modify it is in heaven.
And now,the book of life is in the hands of Crowley, and the right to modify it is in Aziraphale.
Does this means that the whole S2 we see, including the modified plot of Book of Life, is the result of the communication between Azirapahle and Crowley? What will happen in S3 if then can do this?
After all it's just a theory I built from limited evidence and added lots of my personal conjecture,so it's highly possible to be uncorrected.
Here is the end of this long article. Thank you for your time for reading. And can't wait for Season 3 :)

What if the ‘J’ in Anthony J. Crowley is for Jesus? 🤔🤔🤔 Let me very briefly explain:
Tumblr media
Maybe it was in honour of the short-lived (implied) friendship he formed with Jesus, hence why he didn’t want to tell Aziraphale what it stands for; wasn’t ready to show his sentimental side and/or didn’t want to make Aziraphale jealous in case there was a chance his angel was interested in him.
…No?? Ramblings of a crazy person?? 🙃 Oh well, just a thought 😁

Hello lovely mods, thanks again for your miracle work on this blog. Just wondering if you have any fic recs where Crowley and Aziraphale don't meet at Eden, but sometime later. Bonus points if the rating is towards the E end of the spectrum. Thanks again, adore this blog and all your work ❤️
Hi! Please check our #different first meeting tag for more fics like this! Here are some more to add to the collection...
We'll Meet Again (don't know where, don't know when) by OfSnakesLiesandKings (T)
Aziraphale and Crowley missed their first meeting on the Wall of Eden and each had to go through 6000 human years on their own. What would happen when Aziraphale is sent to Earth for the first time since the garden, with the objective to keep an eye on Hell’s oldest agent as Armageddon approaches?
Rated for: discorporations (no graphic details), (canon typical) drinking and swearing.
sugar by Sway (E)
"We have decided,” Beelzebub says, “to punish it in a way that fits the crime.” They wave a hand and one of the demons shoves the other a step forward. “It will be given to the demon Crowley for 40 days, may he do his worst with it.”
Aziraphale likes sex. She really does. Heaven - obviously - does not so they decide to punish her under their new Redemption Policy. Forty days with a demon of Hell's choice.
Temptations Spa by Quefish (E)
Crowley is a demon who owns many businesses designed to get the humans rolling in the Seven Deadlies. Aziraphale is an angel who owns a bookshop. An advert brings Aziraphale to Temptations Spa where they meet for the first time.
The Long Way Around by redundant_angel (M)
Aziraphale and Crowley never meet in Eden and the pair go on through time believing that other is the enemy. With Armageddon quickly approaching, Crowley is sent on an important assignment: to kill the angel and retrieve the flaming sword.
Things go sideways, however, when Crowley is severely injured. As Aziraphale naively nurses the demon back to health, Crowley begins to wonder if he'll be able to go through with it after all...
The Angel Heaven Forgot (& the Demon who flipped off Hell on his way out) by ximeria (M)
Somewhere around the death of Jesus, Aziraphale started wondering if anyone paid him any attention. By 1100AD he was quite sure and by 1800 he thought 'sod it' and opened a bookstore in Soho.
This is canon divergent from the Garden of Eden. Aziraphale and Crowley do not meet and yet the End Times are still foiled (though who knows how - maybe an angel and a demon weren't all that necessary after all). Instead Aziraphale runs into Crowley and they end up striking up a friendship.
The Way Home by GiggleSnortBangDead (E)
Aziraphale and Crowley meet in 1979 while working on a film adaptation of an Ezra Fell novel. Aziraphale just had another fight with Gabriel and is looking for something casual, even if it's with a human. Crowley is not a human, but Aziraphale doesn't know that. In Crowley's defense, he also doesn't know that Aziraphale's not a human.
Aziraphale and Crowley meet again in 2019 while working on a film adaptation of the same Ezra Fell novel.

Their most precious treasure

Hearing Aziraphale explain the tradition of giving gifts to Muriel at Christmas, Crowley recalls another explanation given by Brother Francis years before.

"Where did the tradition of giving presents at Christmas come from?"
Crowley paused in the doorway of the bookshop as he heard Muriel's question to Aziraphale.
The angel's words transported the demon back in time to when Warlock had asked them the same question.
"Where does the tradition of giving presents at Christmas come from, Nanny?"
Nanny Ashtoreth knelt down beside the little boy and began to explain, "That, my dear boy, goes back a very long way. The ancient Romans celebrated the feast of Saturnalia, where they gave thanks for the abundance provided by Saturn, the god of agriculture. The festivities were celebrated with a sacrifice and a public banquet, followed by private gifts, continuous parties, and a wild atmosphere where social rank was eliminated."
"What does that mean, social rank was eliminated, Nanny?"
Nanny Ashtoreth smiled softly and replied, "Here, for example, it would mean that there would be no more differences between you, me, your parents, and everyone who lives here. Even between me and Brother Francis."
"What kind of heresy are you telling him, Nanny?"
Nanny Ashtoreth watched as Brother Francis knelt and took little Warlock's hand.
"We give each other gifts in memory of the wise men who laid gold, frankincense and myrrh at the feet of the infant Jesus."
Crowley shook his head and interrupted, "That was much later. The day on which gifts were exchanged was known as Sigillaria and took place on December 19th. Valuable gifts were at odds with the spirit of the season, so the Romans exchanged more modest items such as candles, seasonal figurines, and other gifts intended to amuse or terrify other guests. Etiquette dictated that the more modest the gift, the stronger the bond of friendship it represented."
"This sucks!" exclaimed Warlock.
Aziraphale smiled broadly, "Oh, then you prefer the story of the wise men."
"No, none of those stupid stories, I prefer the Santa Claus story we heard in school, it's much cooler."
The boy ran off under the eyes of Nanny and Brother Francis, who looked at each other in disbelief.
"So in the end, you see, there are many different meanings behind this gesture of gift-giving, but what I retain after all this time is..."
Crowley was pulled from his thoughts as the angel finished his explanation to Muriel.
The demon approached and Aziraphale, attracted by the movement, turned his head toward him before continuing softly, "It doesn't matter what reason tradition gives or what tradition you choose to follow, the important thing is that you give it with your heart, so even if it's a flower found on the side of the road, if you give it with your heart, the person you're offering it to will consider it their most precious treasure."
Muriel nodded and said quietly, "Thank you, I know what to do now."
Aziraphale asked gently, "What do you mean?"
She replied, "About Christmas presents. I know how to choose what to give you all."
Muriel took their coat and Aziraphale watched them go with a smile on his face as the demon approached him.
Crowley asked quietly, "Theirr most precious treasure, eh?"
The angel nodded and fumbled in his jacket pocket before pulling out a small cloth pouch and holding it out to Crowley.
The demon took it, untied the string that held it closed, and turned it over in his open palm. A small, dried white flower fell out.
He looked sharply up at Aziraphale and whispered in wonder, "You've kept it all this time."
Aziraphale approached and, placing his hand on the demon's, said softly, "Of course, one of my most precious treasures."
"What's that on your hand, Nanny?" asked Brother Francis.
Taking off her snow-covered cloak after helping young Warlock shake the snow from his boots, Nanny Ashtoreth turned to Brother Francis and said in the same gentle voice she sometimes used with Warlock, "As we were returning from our morning walk, I saw this little white flower sticking out of the snow and I thought of you."
Nanny held out the little white flower to the gardener, who gently took it.
Brother Francis asked, "You thought of me? But... why?"
"A white flower that manages to grow in spite of the snow made me think of a certain angel who manages to move forward in spite of adversity."
Nanny Ashtoreth turned to take the young warlock to the kitchen for a snack, unaware that Brother Francis' puzzled gaze was following her.
Aziraphale continued, "The more modest the gift, the stronger the bond of friendship it represents. That's what you said. So of course it's become one of my most precious treasures."
He carefully placed the dried flower back in its pouch and slipped it into his jacket pocket.
He barely had time to raise his head before the demon cupped his face in his hands and, bringing his face close to the angel's, murmured against his lips, "Every time I think it's not possible to love you more, and every time you prove me wrong by doing something adorable like this.
Aziraphale chuckled softly and replied a little sheepishly, "But all I did was preserve this little flower."
Crowley replied, "A little flower given to you. By me. And you kept it all this time."
Then he pressed his lips to the angel's and kissed him tenderly.
When they parted a few moments later, Aziraphale said with a playful twinkle in his eye, "The more modest the gift, the stronger the bond of friendship it represents. So I've decided not to give you anything for Christmas this year."
The demon raised an eyebrow, "Angel?"
The angel continued, his expression still playful, "Well, yes, the modesty of the gift is exponential to the strength of the friendship, since I love you immeasurably, nothing is the most modest gift I can give you."
This time it was he who kissed the confused mouth of his demon.
But at the same time, who could disagree with the angel?
There was nothing more precious to offer each other than their mutual love.
Their most precious treasure.

'Tis the Season (for a little Fanfic)
A.Z. Fell and Co Bookshop, Soho, London -- Christmas Season
Aziraphale hummed a Christmas carol to himself as he finished winding a long strand of tinsel and tiny colored lights down the banister and attached it carefully to the wrought iron with a little tap of his fingertips against the decoration.
He loved Christmas. Not entirely unexpected for an angel, he imagined, seeing as a fair number of humans believed it was the celebration of Jesus's first arrival on Earth, a little over two millennia ago. As someone who'd been present in Bethlehem, though not actually at the birth -- honestly, who could ever think a woman giving birth wanted all sorts of strangers hanging about? Humans could be charmingly weird about what they believed, sometimes -- Aziraphale was quite aware there was almost no connection between that event and the holiday humans celebrated today.
Still, Aziraphale loved Christmas. He loved all the traditions involved, and especially the peace and goodwill it fostered in humans. So many good deeds were done in the name of the Christmas spirit...
Of course, he loved the rest of it, too. The bright colors and festive decorations, the beautiful carols, and the lovely cards. Giving gifts. He especially loved giving gifts. He'd had to get creative about it, over the years, leaving little trinkets and such on the door handles or slipped through the mail slots of the stores along Whickber Street. He'd had to be extra sly in giving gifts to Crowley, as the demon always complained and acted as if the entire time of year was a blight on the world.
Aziraphale knew it was mostly for show. Over the past roughly eighty-four years, he saw the tender expression on his demon's face grow more obvious whenever Crowley found the gifts and thought no one was looking. Always before, Aziraphale wondered what Crowley was thinking at those times. Now, he was pretty sure he knew, and it filled his chest with warmth and put a smile on his face to know his gifts touched Crowley so.
He drew in a deep breath and his smile widened. Of course, he loved the food, too. Humans had always outdone themselves when it came to celebrations and food, and none more so than Christmas.
Right now, the whole shop smelled of the mulled wine and cider, freshly baked ginger-orange biscuits and shortbread, and hors d'oeuvres he'd made for the Christmas party he hoped to turn into an annual event. Now that they no longer had to worry about the end of the world hanging over their heads, he intended to make certain they both enjoyed this world and their life in it fully. He hoped they both created the friendships they'd been afraid to make in the past. Human friendships they could cultivate both individually and as a couple.
Now, he just needed to get the invitations delivered...
"For Satan's sake," groaned a familiar voice from behind him. "Angel, you promised..."
Aziraphale turned, casting a loving glance over the demon who stood paused with his hand hanging in midair over the horse sculpture on the front counter, dark glasses held loosely in his long fingers and winter coat still on as he stared in a blend of horror and disbelieving amusement at the ten-foot tall tree, studded with a mish-mash of ornaments Aziraphale had collected over the past two hundred years since Christmas trees became a thing people did.
"It's tradition!"
"So's riding a blessed camel across the desert to give a baby useless shit he won't ever actually get to use, but you don't see me rushing out to rent camels, do you? You promised it'd just be the two of us, this year."
Aziraphale huffed out a sigh that was one part annoyance and three parts pure indulgence. He couldn't stay mad at Crowley when he was like this. His lovely demon was always grumpier in the wintertime -- probably because he hated the cold so much -- and still struggled with the concept it was okay to just enjoy holidays. Aziraphale figured out a long time ago not to take it personally. He knew Crowley preferred to pretend he was annoyed by or bored with everything holiday related. However, Aziraphale saw the little sparkles of happiness in Crowley's eyes -- as blinding as starlight -- and knew his demon got far more enjoyment out of pretending to dislike things while indulging Aziraphale's utter abandonment to the joy of every human experience.
"I promised nothing of the sort. I said we'd spend Christmas day with just the two of us. That's a whole week away, yet," he reminded Crowley calmly.
"Revisionist history," Crowley grumbled with a scowl that didn't deter Aziraphale in the least. He saw the twinkle in the demon's eyes, and knew Crowley was enjoying riling him up. "I mean, the tree's one thing, but the tinsel? And the lights? Really, angel..."
"Here." Aziraphale retrieved the box of invitations he'd spent yesterday evening writing up from the desk and dropped them in Crowley's hands. "If you're going to carp, make yourself useful and deliver these. Then you don't have to look at the decorations."
"Clever, angel, but I've a better idea." Crowley dropped the box casually on the counter beside himself. Before Aziraphale could protest the misuse of stationary, Crowley reeled him in, wrapping him up in long, strong arms, the demon's mouth making soft, heated passes over Aziraphale's, sinking deeper with each pass, breaking only briefly with a hummed, "Much better idea."
You can read the rest HERE. (Don't worry, you don't have to read the whole book to enjoy this chapter. But feel free to read it all if you like! All my fanfics are open access to everyone, so anyone can read it!)

The Ship of the Day: The Ineffable Husbands
Tumblr media
SPOILER WARNING for the Good Omens series, including season 2 :D
Names: Crowley and Aziraphale
Ship name(s): The Ineffable husbands/ Aziraphale
Original Content: Good Omens book (1990) and the Good Omens series (2019 S1, 2023 S2)) and all subsequent world building done by our lord and saviour Neil Gaiman through Tumblr <3
Ship info: Firstly, while the book will be mentioned within this post, it is important to note that i myself have only ever watched the series- as such, if there is information from the books that is failed to be mentioned that you believe should’ve been, this is why; please feel free to add anything you would like in the notes! Secondly, I will be using multiple pronouns for both Aziraphale and Crowley within this post because, as stated by Neil himself in a Tumblr ask, we might as well see them as genderfluid because he does. Similarly, angels (and thus, demons) are defined as sexless beings within the book, who’s “size, and shape, and composition, are simply options”.
So, you may be wondering, “what’s with this bible fanfiction?”, well don’t you worry I will clear that right up!
Good Omens is a novel/book originally written as a collaboration between Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman in 1990, exploring the roles of angels, demons and mortals during the apocalypse – Armageddon. This has in recent years been adapted into a series for Amazon Prime Video with the help of Neil our beloved to ensure it stayed true to their vision for this story, especially since the series goes beyond the canon timeline of the book.
In particular, it follows demon Crowley and angel Aziraphale, who, as the only non-mortals residing within the mortal world long term, formed an alliance over the centuries, though this alliance slowly but surely turned into a friendship and then progressed into even more. Now, this might sound like an enemies-to-lovers 400k slow-burn but it’s NOT. You see, Crowley was once an angel prior to his fall, with the fandom theorising that they were a rather high-ranking angel due to his actions and clearance levels depicted within scenes of season 2, so technically they didn’t start off as enemies, nor would I argue that they ever truly became enemies following Crowley becoming a demon. Anyway, the first series follows these two immortal beings as they attempt to prevent the coming of the Antichrist, Adam Young, together. The majority of season one focusses on how Armageddon is coming to fruition and how mortals and immortals alike were attempting to stop it. Despite this, there is still a large focus on Crowley and Aziraphale’s personal relationship throughout time.
Tumblr media
Within season 1 episode 3, we take a short break from the ‘current’ canon of stopping Armageddon to explore Crowley and Aziraphale’s relationship and how it grew throughout the centuries using flashbacks for the first portion of the episode, this past history between them before the canon of Armageddon is also explored further in season 2 through multiple extended flashbacks. In the canonical timeline of events, these flashbacks begin from before the beginning of the universe as we know it, with then-angel Crowley creating the universe (“let there be light” and all that) as Aziraphale watched him do so; then jumping to the Garden of Eden, where now-demon Crowley tempts Eve. These flashbacks are sporadic throughout time, gaining in frequency the closer to ‘now’ they get, showing the pairings meetings at: Noah’s Ark, during the testing of Job’s faith (where Crowley first tempts Aziraphale with food), at Jesus’ crucifixion, in a Roman tavern, in Arthurian Britain, and then much more frequently between 1793 in a Paris dungeon and 2019 at Armageddon. All of these flashbacks portray their relationship going from working against each other (in the garden 4004 BC) to working together (the Globe Theatre 1601 AD), though we don’t know the exact date “the arrangement” between the two beings began, it is alluded to within this scene in the Globe Theatre as they discuss the possibility of one of them doing both “the blessing and the tempting” (their respective jobs given to them by heaven and hell) in Edinburgh, as they had done so elsewhere previously, with Aziraphale showing fear for Crowley’s safety within this arrangement, saying “but if hell finds out, they wont just be angry, they’ll destroy you”, but eventually acquiescing, calling heads on the coin toss to decide who goes. These more frequent visits shown leading up to Armageddon show the change from just working together for ease to working together because they enjoyed their time together.
So now we are up to date with their relationship prior to Armageddon, from working together to working against one another all the way up to forming an alliance together and coming to care for one another. So, spoiler alert (I say as if the previous paragraph wasn’t full of spoilers); they stop Armageddon together (yay). Following them preventing Armageddon, hell and heaven attempted to fully discorporate the pair, using hellfire for Aziraphale and a holy water bath (sans rubber duck) for Crowley, the two predicted this move however and temporarily swapped bodies so as to ensure neither came to harm. They then nicely finished off the season with the pair dining in the Ritz, making a toast “to the world” as a nightingale sang in Berkeley Square (in reference to the popular love song published in 1940).
Tumblr media
So, all is well and good for the start of season 2, right? WRONG. Archangel Gabriel shows up at Aziraphale’s bookstore having lost all his memories, Crowley and Aziraphale perform a miracle together to hide Gabriel (now going by Jim) that is so strong heaven believes it could only be the will of an archangel, leading to them believing that Gabriel is hiding in Aziraphale’s bookshop. Now, this season evolves around hiding Gabriel and somehow restoring his memories but Aziraphale instead takes it upon himself to focus on trying to set up the owners of two nearby stores, drawing similarities between the two and himself and Crowley. So Aziraphale is trying to set these two up, Crowley is trying to keep Aziraphale safe and heaven and hell alike are both convinced they are hiding Gabriel. This all comes to a head as Gabriel’s memories get restored and it is revealed that he was demoted after refusing to support an attempt at a second Armageddon, conversations are had and offers are made and the elusive Metatron offers Aziraphale Gabriel’s old position, promising to restore Crowley’s status as an angel.
Now for the divorce. Yeah, you read that right, the ineffable divorce. The day I cried, the fandom cried, I think even the official Amazon Prime Twitter *ahem*, sorry, ‘X’ account admin cried. Aziraphale accepts the Metatron’s offer because they believe he and Crowley working together can make a difference, “we can be together, angels, doing good. I need you”. Crowley confesses to Aziraphale, saying how they can do the same as Gabriel and Beelzebub and leave heaven and hell behind to just be them, they disagree on working for heaven and Crowley points out that they can’t hear any nightingales (in reference to the end of season one), “you idiot, we could’ve been us”, before kissing Aziraphale once, finishing off this glorious season with “I forgive you” (A), “Don’t bother”.
Tumblr media
Now, this is where we are left off with their relationship, and while there are a lot more scenes I’ve missed out here which allude to their building romance and many, many posts by Neil Gaiman which explore it further, this has already gotten way too long to include them all.
Type of Ship: Queer
Now, even outside of their relationship, these two are unequivocally queer. As previously stated, they both do not conform to societal stereotypes surrounding gender, with them being angelic beings who simply choose to take on the traditionally more masculine forms we most associate with them, whilst other times choosing more traditionally feminine forms- like Crowley did in scenes of the crucifixion of Jesus, or when they were a nanny. While this isn’t explicitly spoken about within the series (because their gender presentation simply is there, an unquestioned part of them, it’s not a focal point of the plot), co-author and series writer Neil Gaiman has clarified that angels and demons alike do not have gender or sex and do not perceive gender in the same way as humans do.
How, as such, within the ship they are also queer, with the pair not bending to societal norms surrounding gender, sex and relations. And though they do kiss in the final episode of season two, Neil Gaiman has confirmed that their kiss was “about a lot of things but its not to show they’re in love” alluding to the love being shown in other ways as their relationship isn’t inherently sexual- neither is it inherently asexual as he explained “they are an angel and a demon, not as male humans”. This portrays romance and love in away that is inherently queer and different to that of heteronormative ideals as they are not strictly male or female and don’t explore sexuality in the same way as is the norm.
Thank you for reading this! Admin 🦇 out!

You missed them? I knooow, in canon Beelzebub wanted to murder Crowley in holly water… but I can use my imagination, right? I think they would have very cute friendship dynamic. Here Beelzie finally agreed to go with Crowley and Aziraphale to LGBTQ pride parade. And if you want to know my headcanon, Gabriel is watching it, probably with some sad protesting homophobic people (they have nice suits and claim to love Jesus, so he joined witchout giving it much thinking) and the moment he sees Beelzebub he is having strong gay panic. Also panic of Angel who has unholly thoughts.

a head canon for season 3:
God herself never talks to anyone anymore about Anything because she's either a bitter petty bitch like that or she's just sitting back enjoying the show, (or maybe a bit of both).
but she feels bad for Crowley and Aziraphale and has always meant for Crowley to be a demon, thats who he was always meant to be, and always made them to be a pair but she can't tell them that because it would ruin every lesson she's trying to teach them about identity and growth and friendship and true love and what it really means to be a soul mate because they were her first try at soul mates, they're the blueprints of the whole damn operation.
And being soulmates isn't about being exactly alike, it isn't even about being exactly in tune with each other all the time, its about when you're together you're stronger and braver, you help each other grow and heal and love yourself.
That's why she talks about the Nightingale singing over Berkley square, because she knows its their song, she knows that's it their thing to dine at the Ritz, and she didn't design that for them they came up with that on their own, every twist and turn their relationship has gone down has been free will but now its got all mucked up and she's like I gotta go talk to them.
So she comes down from on high and every angel and demon in the immediate area is stressing out and trying to get her attention but she's just sitting down with Aziraphale and trying to talk about feelings over cocoa and then the Metatron turns to Jesus and is just like 'Can you please go talk to your Mom we need to get back on track' and Jesus is like 'You think I can tell my Mom to do anything?"
And Crowley won't say a word to her no matter what she does.
I just think it would be really funny having all these angels jumping over themselves trying to talk to God about The Next Plan and Important Apocalypse things and she is just like 'Yeaaaah, I really just came down to talk to Zira can you give us some privacy please :)'
And Aziraphale is just like :0

What’s so heart breaking about Crowley and Aziraphale’s fight scene is not even the “there is no “our side!” part, for me I think it’s the “even if I did know where the antichrist was I wouldn’t tell you” because he DOES know where the antichrist is, and he’s not telling Crowley.
It’s such an honestly hurtful thing for him to say, because it’s 100% true.
On my first watch of good omens when it came out I wasn’t too hot with Aziraphale. I still liked him sure but I was a much bigger Crowley fan, and now that I’ve rewatched it twice I have a much deeper appreciation for his character and arc. Like he’s so well meaning it’s almost painful, and because of that it’s hard for him to see what’s sitting so plainly right in front of him.
He believes he’s good because heaven and g-d are good, and because of that he can get a bit of a complex about it. He can be mean to Crowley cus he’s like “yes I am good and you are bad. We are on different sides” and season 1 was about him letting go of that and seeing heaven for what it really is, and understanding that Crowley is far more important to him than heaven ever was.
When it comes to that argument, and him saying things like “may you be forgive” or “even if I knew where the antichrist was I wouldn’t tell you” or “there is no “our side,” Crowley. Not anymore. It’s over” it’s like sad cus he’s so desperately grasping at the higher ground and trying to hold on to some kind of hope that heaven will ultimately have his back.
I can’t help but think of what Michael Sheen said about him. How Aziraphale really loves Crowley, but is so terrified of what their head offices would do if they found out so he has to keep that love in check; and then finally when all is said and done he can finally relax a let himself love in a way he hasn’t allowed in the past. So I think in that fight scene it’s ultimately Aziraphale’s back being pushed against a wall. He’s never really been in a situation where his roll as an Angel rubbed up against his friendship with Crowley. Crowley has long known that Hell is full of it and he and Aziraphale stand together on their own, but the thought of defying Heaven is unthinkable to Aziraphale until he realizes that Heaven is doing nothing to stop the war and is actively hungry for it. And I think his come to Jesus (hehe) moment is all the better cus it’s like he’s finally free of all this pressure.
With season two months away, all I can think about is how Aziraphale will be now that heaven isn’t breathing down his neck, and he’s free to be on his own side with Crowley. I expect so much more displays of affection.
