A mouthful, for such an intimate moment.

"I'm quite sure you aren't aware of the consequences you enlist yourself to be subject to by doing these things," The Hydro Dragon rumbles as his grip on your chin tightens.

"Or it could well be that you do not care. It seems I'll have to be the one to personally administer your punishment." His eyes narrow as he speaks.

Your eyes only faintly widen at his words, and the Iudex only smiles at that faintly, chuckling softly as his free hand trails up behind your head, slowly running through your hair, before he grips it tightly, almost in a harsh manner, contrasting the sweetness of his words.

"I do hope you know well that this night is still far from its end, ma bien-aimée. We very well have a long way to go before it culminates."

Neuvillette & Wriothesley Dynamic

SPOILER AHEAD. PLEASE LEAVE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ. ANALYSIS UNDER THE CUT.

I'll keep this really short. I just want to share my appreciation and thoughts of Neuvillette and Wriothesley's dynamic. You may see this platonically (canon) or romantically (fanon) however you might wish.

Based from the dialogues (I believe 2 dialogues at the start of the Fontaine Act III, and many more) Wriothesley and Neuvillette had many personal business and interactions despite of the Meropide Fortress being autonomous. Wrio treated Traveller and Paimon as guests because of their connection with Neuvi.

I thought that by the end of the Archon Quest (Acts III and IV of Fontaine) there will be beef between them (based on the trailer, and the voiceline, which I believeD (capital for emphasis) was Wrio's "Is this what Justice means to you, Neuvillette?" ) . I'm quite happy that this didn't happen.

Although Wrio joked about Neuvi's powers, he didn't really pry on what Neuvi's actual power was. But instead he believed that he was capable to subdue the waters(for the mean time).

They're both opposites, we can already see that; from the color combinations to their attitudes and behavior. But from what I can see they believed in each other's capabilities.

As Neuvillette stood at the edge of the path leading to the entrance of the Fortress of Meropide, the salty sea breeze tousled his robes. The rhythmic swish of his garments seemed to echo the ebb and flow of the ocean waves below.

As he waited at the threshold of the path leading to the fortress's hidden depths, his gaze remained steadfast, his keen eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of movement. The weight of his appointment with someone significant pressed upon him, reflected in the firm grip of his hand on his cane. With a sense of duty befitting his station, he unfurled the ledger in his hand, its pages filled with meticulous notes and annotations that spoke to his meticulous nature. -@iudex-of-fontaine

He wasn’t often one to lose track of time… but this time he certainly did, standing up and throwing his coat over his shoulders, quick to hurry out of his office, setting a quick walking speed, not stopping until he had reached the entrance to Meropide, beginning his way up the stairs and opening the gate to the outside world, peeking up to see Neuvillette already there.

He let out a soft breath, quickly climbing fully out to stand in front of the man, inhaling, “Hello, monsieur. Apologies for my tardiness. It is nice to see you this…” He glanced to the sky, watching the fading colors of the sunset for a moment before looking at him, smiling, “evening.”
