21. What’s the stupidest fight you’ve ever gotten into?

ok idk if this means like an argument or a physical altercation. umm once i was in an argument with a girlfriend because she said i loved doctor 13 more than her. that was a pretty stupid fight and i think she really was upset but the problem was i couldnt in sincerity tell her she was wrong. i was literally like 'you re going to have to accept this about me'. or if it means a physical altercation then one time i was waiting so so so long (we are talking like 2-3 hours) trying to get a taxi home from town and some dude swooped in on one before me and i got so mad i hit him over the head with the only thing i had to hand which was. a rose. guy turns around like what is your FUCKING problem and i was like ok yeah fair play i probably shouldnt have done that. but he started to get mad so i doubled down i was like ok but youre being really fucking dramatic about this it was just a flower i think you'll live. it didnt really escalate past a bit of shoving tho bc he had to get in his taxi so it wasnt really a fight. um also sometimes i punch people at random in the club

24. Do you tend to gravitate more toward using logic or intuition to make decisions?

hm. i think i make an intuitive decision and then am very good at coming up with a million logical arguments to justify it so i can SAY im making a decision based on logic. but its not really true im following my heart always i think.

51. What’s the longest you’ve ever stayed awake?

it is terrifyingly common for me to be awake for 30+ or even 40+ hours but i think one time when i was a teen i was awake for 3 days. like from morning on day one til evening on day 3 so like 60hrs? i was absolutely not grounded in reality by the end of it i was so fucked up.

there truly is not. i never lived in those places

ok that is so evil u know my mcr trips are literally my favourite topic of conversation :( i have so many fond memories u dont even want to hear about my late winter sunrise coach journey heading off to sydney listening to rtl u dont even want to hear for the 17th time about when i crowdsurfed to mama in new jersey :( are we even friends.....

im gonna b real with u ive been trying to think of an answer here for quite some time and i dont think i can. im sure i have fond memories that aren't music-related and i know u phrased it like that bc u really didnt want to hear for the 18th time about when i crowdsurfed to mama in new jersey but like. i have been to so many shows and there really is magic in the air there and truly so many of my fondest memories are of those moments. running into people u havent seen in years and catching up and reminiscing... putting ur arm around a friend and wailing along to your favourite songs together.... fighting ur way out of the pit when a certain song starts bc u have to make it back to ur buddy for this one... fighting ur way INTO the pit when a certain song starts and making soulmates with random people for just one night... these ARE my fondest memories!! <3 oh one time i went to see tim minchin w friend as a teen we got high before we went in and it was a beautiful show he closed on white wine in the sun and when we came outside we were still high and it was snowing heavily it was so beautiful and it felt so magical. thats one of my favourite memories i think <3

What’s your writing process like? Do you outline or storyboard?

this usually depends based on what im writing.

shorter fics or one shots, like family rules (which is one of my most popular fics hehe) kind of comes to me in a vision. think of these type of fics as like - ronnie is being delusional before bed and imagining a life with gojo before she goes to sleep. except it does not stay in my head and then I post it here on seeingivy dot com

my very special taylor as gojo series is its own breed. before, it would be i listened to a taylor song and got an idea and I was like yup. thats the one.

but most of taylor as gojo lately has been requests (WHICH I LOVE THAT YOU GUYS LOVE TAYLOR AS GOJO) so I will literally blast that song till something comes to me. ive been on and off streaming between call it what you want and story of us and nothing has hit me like lightning yet - so I will take more time to ruminate as these two songs are very special to me and I want them to be good.

as for my lovely, lovely long fics, this is less structured, which is even funnier:

I'll get the idea and scattered scenes will come to me. i'll have a rough idea of the plot in my head, of how I want things to go, and kind of work out the story points as I go

Idk what kind of reaction this will evoke, but 90% of important plot points do not come out until I write them

historia/y/n feud was not a thing until two days ago. the girlfriend scene was not pre-planned the met gala was not pre-planned. y/n getting stranded was not planned. this literally all happened yesterday cuz I was like oh what if.....

there are certain scenes that I think of that earlier on tho just make me really excited to write -> I always wanted their first kiss to be them practicing kissing for a scene, I wanted there to be a jjk crossover and for sukuna to be AN ANNOYING SHIT, and there's a bunch of other scenes like that in my head that i'm really, REALLY excited to write

so basically no plot. I actually don't even know how method acting ends actually. this is literally all just vibes - idk if that is horrifying to you a reader or exciting but the story comes to me as it comes to me and I work things out and build them in

this is also why I can fit so much fan service in my stories - whatever you guys show interest in (for example, armin was never meant to be a polaroid fiend but you guys thought it was cute and now made it a thing) you want laufey? I give you laufey? you want the greatest by lana del ray? ok its coming

that being said, pls interact with your authors stories!!!! literally if you tell me you like a song, you like sukuna being a bitch, you want gojo being a menace I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN (to the best of my abilities) and you should always, always tell your authors what you love about their writing bc it makes their day + gives all the lil warm feelings so just take the time to appreciate!!!

idk if i should be called dream anon or what since i keep coming back to talk about dreams, but! i come back with another one about chan.

in my dream we were working on a song together but i was literally utterly distracted bc god damn he's so pretty. but chan didn't realize what was distracting me, he was like ???? thats not like you at all whats got you with writers block

and feeling like im caught like oh its hard to write a song when i dont have some experience to base it off of bc its supposed to be like... sexy.

and chans like oh thats it, i know that feeling.

and im like yeah sure you do you literally write songs about desire and sex but then you explain them to fans like someone who literally can't navigate it. just teasing him and all that, cause channies so cute when he's flustered.

and of course chans like "oh" clearly embarrassed at my call out. but then hes like "is that why you dont write normal love songs cause you've never been with anyone." and im like listen, "its hard for people to even want you when you look like an amorphous dented over boiled potato"

and so chan says "is that how you see yourself?" but i dont wanna talk about it so i go back to writing, but then hes like "thats not true you look good the way you are, you're fine, you know that."

but i roll my eyes and just keep explaining that "yes i see myself that way, and that's fine because no one usually wants me. but its fine. i just can't write songs like that then."

and chan isnt having it and like, spins me around in his studio chair to make me look at him bc i keep avoiding the topic

and then he said something about whatever we were supposed to be working on, about how the lyrics were supposed to be about something i tried to say i didn't worry about, and yet i was struggling.

and he gets this really hot mad look, and i mean like, god he's so hot when he's mad. he says something along the lines of how i shouldn't say that about myself that i am desirable.

so i retort with "that's easy to say when all you have to do is post a selfie and thousands of people want to suck your dick on the spot."

and his eyes get all dark and suddenly he's leaning over me while i'm still sitting in his studio chair. and im like, ranting about the whole thing being like i know hes got confidence issues but theres people out there to tell him how hot he is every day and blah blah blah so its completely lost on me for a second what he says while i'm talking.

cause chan's like "well the person i'm after doesn't really want that on the spot, so, yknow."

so when i finally catch up i'm like what the fuck do you mean there's someone out there that doesn't immediately want to do that-

and then i realize he literally means me bc honestly the thought of sucking a dick kinda makes me nauseous but also i look at this man and think man i'd try it at least once.

but then he pauses and i pause and there's this insane tension and then bam i'm making out with bang chan in my dream and at one point he hauled my ass out of that chair like i weighed nothing,,,

anyways that's dream time with me again! i'm trying to find dreams i've documented bc ive been sleeping all weird lately and not had many

i've been listening to your charmuro playlist a lot (i follow you on twitter lol, idk if you posted it here) and i was wondering if you'd want to elaborate on any of your choices...all the sad young men is one that caught me off guard but also makes so much sense to me

hi there! sorry for the very late reply! but oh my god. thank you for sending me this ask because it gave me enough motivation to write down some notes about my playlist and order it a bit because — its a lot LOL

first of all i would like to mention that yes, it’s a charmuro playlist, but you cannot take lalah out of charmuro ♡ so i’ve added songs that somehow fit her point of view, or hint at her presence. i love lalah so much and it makes me sad when people take her out of char and amuro’s relationship or minimize the impact that she had on both of them. (but don’t ask me to define whatever those three had going on because i don’t know. it’s vague. vague is okay in my mind but i would love to make people see my vision. in a few years i will maybe find the words to describe it)

ANYWAY THE PLAYLIST! i’m sorting it in a kind of chronological way, but it gets vague and blurry sometimes because i also think it’s important for a playlist to flow well (and to have songs that i actually like listening to! and it vagueness works for gundam....)

∙ 1979 by the smashing pumpkins this song is really great because it truly is an anthem of a new young generation, which is a focal point of gundam! the pain and angst and comfort of late teenagehood/early adulthood ♡

∙ day by bill callahan this is maybe one of the cheesiest songs in the playlist but i just love it so much. and. i mean. what is gundam without cheesiness? to me this songs feels a lot like a conversation between cca char and amuro. the kind of disdain towards the humanity that has reduced earth to such a wasteland planet vs the hope that humanity is indeed good and we must strive toward the light, even though it is so hard

i genuinely cant say ive found another artist like haley heynderickx yet. shes one of my favorite artists of all time and i could go on and on about all the reasons i adore her work so thats exactly what im gonna do because i can. i think the best way i could give a generalized description of her whole discography is that its beautifully atmospheric. her songs create such distinct, vivid images and feelings in me that i only experienced when i was a child i think. it feels like as if i could connect most of her songs to memories that i dont even have. for example the song jo (which is one of my favorites of all time) creates this scene of a couple laying in bed in a second story room at sundown and i can see so many details, but the most important one is the mug of tea thats still steaming on the desk next to the window. the song is the color of that tea, which in my head is an orangish brown and the color of the grayish blue part of the sky. listening to her songs is honestly an experience every time even tho i know her albums front to back. she also stands out from a more “technical” point of view in my opinion, because i love folk, but at times i think some folk artists tend to not use their voices to their full potential, she on the other hand knows how to use her voice in a way that only strengthens the other aspects of her songs, making it more powerful. of course i cant leave out her writing, because it really is otherworldly, but i think shes already well recognized for that. ive been seeing her monthly listeners grow on spotify lately and it makes me so happy to see her be more recognized, because if anyone deserves it its definitely her. although any time i asked people to recommend artists like her they only recommended other artists within the same/similar genre, whos art didnt really made me feel anything like hers does, but if anyone could give me some recommendations based on what ive written, id be more than happy to listen to it <3

Lil Murky is back with one of his catchiest and most impactful releases to date: Emotionally Murked. The album has a modern and polished production, which really allows the mix to stand out for its clarity and depth. The low end is really fat and punchy, while the vocal sound is smooth and articulate. Lil Murky’s work has often been compared to artists the likes of Kid Cudi, Juice WRLD and XXXTENTACION, but he certainly has a character of his own, as opposed to simply trying to copy other influences along the way.

This release will hit you with the melodies of modern trap and the energy of old-school hip-hop, going for a timeless, yet modern feel. The artist is truly awesome at expressing himself, operating at a high level across the board. Not only is the songwriting on point, but the lyrical flow is also impressive.

The thrill of creativity is apparent here, and Lil Murky’s music sounds very innovative, yet catchy and timeless. However, there is also a very unique element to it, bringing such a relatable listening experience to the table.

I love how you manage to render your tracks so personal and organic. Does the melody come first, or do you focus on the beat the most?

The melody comes first always , as it’s the most rememberable part of the song. Which also makes it easier to write the rest of the song. Reason for this is, all you need to do is fill the gaps

Do you perform live? If so, do you feel more comfortable on a stage or within the walls of the recording studio?

Definitely would fill more comfortable within the walls of a studio for sure , as it’s just me and this mic. But I can’t really have a say cause I haven’t performed yet.

If you could only pick one song to make a “first impression” on a new listener, which song would you pick and why?

Motions or lost the darkness for sure because there unique and mainstream to the point I could hear them on the radio. But also I get the most positive feedback for those songs the most

What does it take to be “innovative” in music?

Changing it up and keeping it fresh is exactly what this project offers ive messed around with 10 different genres such as Hyperpop ,melodic rap ,rock pop Ect.

And I keep trying new things in every song that comes

Any upcoming release or tour your way?

My next release will probably be late June or early July,

Which will be a single. I plan to drop monthly , to help grow my fan base

I love hearing what other ppl like so please do!! I also like R&B a lot i just forgot to mention it when i was talking abt genres i like earlier bc i was too focused on rap 🤭 and im the same way tbh! Unless im a real big fan of an artist i'll wait a while, but sometimes like with Paramore's After Laughter i couldnt stand to accept the sound change so i waited a year to listen to it 🫣

I'm going out in an hour or two and im probably not gonna drink till i get back home late. Im always DD since i live the furthest. I wish you could come out with me and my friends i feel like you'd have fun with us. But my friends usually get crossfaded with me bc i always bring some weed. im ok to drive when its worn off a bit im safe i promise 🫣 but i drop everyone off so im used to getting home late a lot. I wish i could hear you giggling i bet you have a cute laugh sweetheart<3 i bet youre really fun to be around when you're drunk<3

I do the same but im trying to get back into better habits like journaling, like sometimes i just cant cry because ive bottled everything up for so long. So i very much urge ppl to cry when they can because its not a great feeling not being able to cry when you need to cry. Like even if its small, cry about it its fine. Its human to feel the full spectrum of emotion.

I forgot what voice i used for my character but i think it was some generic dude voice, i have been a little out of practice with my deeper voices though. But my voice is usually pretty deep anyway, i pitch my voice up a bit when im at work bc i dont want to scare the old timers too much. I hate to admit that my favorite voices to try to do are meatwad from aqua teen hunger force and stitch, theyre like the same voice to me 🤭 i do it for funsies, but in my teen years i did it a lot bc my friends gave me approval for it 🤭

Soo maybe i might budget to get my hands on those perfumes ☺️ i'd like to know what your favorite perfumes smelled like on first hand bases. This is a second best, best would be smelling it on your neck<3 theres a certain cologne i fell in love with years go that ive been trying to get my hands on, its polo red by ralph lauren it had smelled so wonderful to me.

Candles are a lot to take care of so i get it. I just have two main rules i follow for the life of my candle and the safety of my cats. Im the type of person where if i see soot in your candles i try to clean that out to lessen fire risk bc they can be dangerous, its something ppl never notice but thats ok i just want them to be safe. I used to play with the wax like that too!! It low key led to me trying to experiment a little with wax play which was interesting to say the least.

You really are an adorable little puppy<3 its nice to know i was right about thinking you were shorter than me<3 i like short girls, tall girls are nice but short girls are better<3 esp when theyre a little older than me🤭 also ironically i dont own anything royal purple but maybe one day!

17. Your favorite character to write this year?

wen kexing from woh from zhou zishu‘s perspective! youve seen some of my descriptions of his hair and body language and quirks already!! hes a character that i love a lot and learned to love even more this year, and i kind of kickstarted my own characterization of him when i wrote that one let wkx be cringe! post :D i havent really written him cringey yet but it was important to my perception of him

also: zhou zishu from woh. i found out what i enjoy writing about him the most this year. mostly i write from his perspective for some reason, and many of my zzs versions tend to be very similar. i tried something new this year and it was really fun

27. What do you listen to while writing?

i have several playlist from other writing projects and three (3) playlists curated specifically for tyk. lately ive been listening a lot to taylor swift even though im not a taylor swift fan. there is just smth about her songs that make it very easy to slip away into a good headspace. though i need to be in the mood for it. sometimes i will listen to artists that are recommended to me or an artist‘s radio. i also really like spotify‘s recommendation songs function based on the playlist im listening to. but i dont always listen to music, i need to be in the mood for it. sometimes i just want to hear the words flow or the background noises from my place

29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?

im sure there are several! but one im very proud of and that kinda showed me that yes, i can indeed write! is this one from good things that lie in the hand:

"pocket knives are actually very good at lying in your hand when you close your fingers around it. they have a good feel to them, like stones. and they have ridges. while u trace these ridges u can imagine all the little, smart, brilliant things that are tucked away in that pocket knife‘s little body."

generally im very proud of the entire thing. its silly and whimsy and unpolished and perfect to me. it showed me that there are words inside of me that can and will flow effortlessly when im in the right headspace, that writing can and will feel good and fun, and that there is skill and a sense for structure in me even when im not aware of it

30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?

but to expand on this, im wowed and proud to see the signs of my own growth. sure, i was more confident when i started out, im generally an anxious mess 24/7 currwntly which is Not Fun. but i understand things about storytelling and my own preferences and skills, my own style, now that i didnt before. for a very long time writing was just me getting a feel of being creative with words in this way again after i thought i would never be able to bear it ever again. my priorities have shifted a lot since then, which shows how far ive come

no one cares but ive decided to rewatch a bunch of musicals in an attempt to feel better because ive been really sad and tired lately and i want to make a diary type of post rating them based ONLY on the music and how good they made me feel and not on the actual plot (i will edit this post constantly to add the new ones i watch)

day 1, oct 15:

-the greatest showman (2017): 9/10 ⭐ (every single song in extremely good and zendaya is in it)

-aladdin (2019): 7/10 ⭐ (only 3 songs are good but its funny, pretty to look at and it has naomi scott and a tiger)

day 2, oct 16:

-descendants (2015): 7/10 ⭐ (good songs although i only love 2, the cast is absolute perfection)

-‌descendants 2 (2017): 8/10 ⭐ (like most disney channel original movies, the second one is the best one. queer coded pirates and even better songs)

-descendants 3 (2019): 3/10 ⭐ (its entertaining but only because i like the characters and its nice to see them interact. no good songs)

day 3, oct 19:

-hamilton (2020): 6/10 ⭐ (good music nonstop, mulligan's actor is very good and very handsome, the king is funny, eliza made me cry several times)

-mamma mia (2008): 10/10 ⭐ (PEAK CINEMA)

-grease (1978): 9/10 ⭐ (every song is crazy good. fun fact ! the pink ladies (specially rizzo) were very important to my gay awakening when i was a kid)

day 4, oct 21:

-school of rock (2003): 10/10 ⭐ (its a musical to ME and its on my top3 favorite movies ever. i will never be able to rate it objectively because it shaped my whole childhood, changed my life and made me the person i am today so i know im 100% biased when i say its a 10/10 but i also know im right)

-pitch perfect (2012): 4/10 ⭐ (the music is great, best part of the movie is how self aware it is, the movie is absurd which is usually my favorite type of humor but theres some jokes that genuinely make me uncomfy so i cant really give it more than a 4)

day 5, oct 31:

-in the heights (2021): 5/10 ⭐ (the music is not that good i only like 2 songs and i wouldnt really listen to them outside of the musical but its fun to watch)

day 6, dec 2:

-ride the cyclone (2008): 10/10 ⭐ (not a rewatch, this was my first time. changed my life /pos)
