I saw that your requests are open and I would like to request some platonic headcanons of how Charlie, Vaggie, Angel Dust, Alastor, Husk and Niffty would react when one day they find a couple of demons saying horrible things to them and insulting their reader friend's drawings (which helps in the hotel along with them) and the treatment worsens when she starts to sob (she is very happy, affectionate and likes to draw, sometimes she gives a special drawing to her friends, but she is also very insecure about her art).

I would like to read what you think their reactions to this would be 😁

🌈 Charlie Morningstar x fem!Reader 🎶

Charlie was glad that you became a part of her hotel. You were friends and the fact that you believed in her idea meant a lot to her. You tried to help her, including you came up with exercises related to drawing. You loved to draw and at some point even gave her a special drawing that you drew especially for her. Charlie was delighted with your gift and your drawings, which greatly embarrassed you. Several times Charlie went with you when you went to paint landscapes of Hell, but on one of these days your peace was disturbed by several sinners who felt it their duty to spoil your day

They started insulting you and your drawing. Charlie saw you shrink, as if trying to get smaller or just disappear. She tried to intervene, to explain that they were being rude and that they should have apologized, but she was ignored. When she heard you sob, she felt how angry she was. She wasn't going to let others hurt her friend

Charlie demanded in a demanding tone that they apologize to you. Her changed appearance forced them to retreat and flee, throwing the last insults after her. Charlie hurried over to hug you. She knew how affectionate and kind you were. You loved to draw, but you were very insecure when it came to your drawings. That's why you took every bad word about your drawing to heart. It had a bad effect on your emotional state, so Charlie tried to protect you from this

Charlie saw you as a bright and kind person who deserved to be in Heaven. You were a wonderful artist and a wonderful friend that she treasured and loved. Charlie hoped that she could help you become more confident in yourself so that you wouldn't even think that your wonderful drawings might not be like that

❌ Vaggie x fem!Reader 🎀

Vaggie has taken on the role of protecting the inhabitants of the hotel, including you. You were friends with her. She knew that you were kind, affectionate and loved to draw. You often drew while you had nothing to do, but you were too shy to show someone your drawings. Sometimes you'd go into town to buy art supplies and Vaggie would try to walk with you to make sure you didn't get into trouble

When you were returning from the art supplies store, you wanted to stay for a while to make a sketch of the city. Vaggie was quietly waiting for you, standing a little to the side so as not to interfere with you, but someone else appeared who decided to interfere with you. A few sinners came up to you and, just by looking at your drawing, started insulting you and what you drew

Vaggie didn't wait long and rushed to your defense. The sinners quickly fled, fearing reprisals, because Vaggie looked really scary. As soon as they escaped, she hurried to you. Vaggie saw that a little more and you were ready to cry. You took such things very personally, so Vaggie hurried to try to calm you down, because it was obvious that those sinners were just jerks who only wanted to offend you

When you returned to the hotel, you seemed to calm down. After a while, you came to her and thanked her for protecting you. In addition, you gave her a drawing that you drew yourself. Vaggie knew how much it meant to you and was grateful to you for such a gift. She hoped that you could become more confident, because you really had a talent for drawing and Vaggie didn't want you to feel bad because of other people's words

🕷 Angel Dust x fem!Reader 💖

You were one of the quietest people Angel knew. You met at the hotel where you helped, and you were able to get along after you got to know each other a little better. You were kind, sincere and creative. Angel saw how you could sit in the hotel lobby and draw something, but you were too shy to show your drawings. It was only when Angel and you became friends that you plucked up the courage to show him your drawings, and when he praised them, a happy smile appeared on your face

Sometimes, when Angel wanted to take a walk in a quiet environment, he invited you to walk around the city. He accompanied you several times when you wanted to paint outside the hotel. You didn't look like someone who could fight back, so Angel took on the role of your bodyguard. During one of your walks together, while you were painting in the park, he was distracted by a phone call, and when he returned, he saw that several sinners had almost brought you to tears

He chased them away rather rudely, after which he asked you what happened. As it turned out, the escaped sinners insulted your drawing. Angel was outraged that they said nasty things to you, which he hurried to say, and also told you that they were jerks, and you had a really good drawing. He took you back to the hotel and during the time that you were walking you managed to calm down, which could not but please him

At the hotel, you sat in your room for several hours, after which you knocked on the door of Angel's room. He was surprised by this, but he was even more surprised that you gave him a drawing that you drew yourself. You wanted to show him that you cherished him and his friendship, that's why you gave him this drawing. Angel thanked you. You were really good at drawing and he was grateful to you for this gift

📻 Alastor x fem!Reader 🎙

It was difficult to call you and Alastor friends. You were more likely acquaintances who lived in the same hotel. You helped around the hotel, running small errands, painting in your spare time. Alastor didn't know what exactly you were drawing, and you didn't show him your drawings. You were kind, affectionate and loved to draw

When Alastor went for a walk around the city, he saw you painting while sitting on a park bench. Alastor rarely saw you outside the hotel, so he wanted to come up to you and say hello, but several sinners beat him to it. However, after only a couple of minutes, a hunted expression appeared on your face. Alastor realized that you were not happy with their presence, and so he decided to intervene, because after all, you were part of the hotel

Alastor didn't have to do anything special. It was enough for him to just walk up and ask what these sinners were doing in order for them to escape. You looked up at him with eyes that were full of tears and quietly thanked Alastor. He offered to walk you to the hotel, to which you agreed, clutching your album to your chest. It was obvious to him that the drawings were the reason for your tears, but Alastor was in no hurry to ask you questions. We went out all the way in silence

A few days after Alastor helped you, you came to him and handed him the drawing. You drew a drawing especially for him, as a sign of gratitude for his help. You left faster than he could say anything, but he kept the drawing, leaving it in his room. Perhaps it was too sentimental on his part, but the drawing was really beautiful, so he decided to keep it

🧹 Niffty x fem!Reader ❤

You and Niffty have been friends since the first day she started working at the hotel. You were there and helped out by running small errands. In your free time, you and Niffty talked a lot and she often sat next to you while you were painting. At first you were embarrassed to show her your drawings, but over time she became one of the few people to whom you showed your drawings, knowing that she would not condemn you, but on the contrary, praise you

You sometimes gave drawings to people close to you, including Niffty. She was delighted when you gave her a drawing that you drew especially for her. Niffty hugged you tightly, thanking you for such a sweet gift. Niffty saw how important it was to you that she reacted to your drawings in such a way. You were very insecure about your work and Niffty was convinced of this when your drawing was insulted. That day you went to the store together and you stayed to do a little sketch. A few sinners decided to spoil your mood and insult your drawing, but they almost brought you to tears

Niffty looked scary to the sinners who wanted to hurt you, so they left, and she stayed with you and tried to calm you down. You were kind and affectionate, and it was always hard for you to listen to cruel words, especially when the words concerned your drawings. Niffty directly told you not to listen to those sinners, because she saw your drawings and you drew great. She intended to repeat it as many times as it was necessary for you to believe in her words yourself

You were grateful that you had a friend like Niffty. She was there for you and supported you. Her words gave you confidence. She was ready to protect you from the jerks who didn't understand anything about drawing and prove to you that they were wrong no matter what. She saw that you were talented and hoped that you would understand it yourself

🃏 Husk x fem!Reader 🥃

Husk often watched the inhabitants of the hotel standing at the bar, including you. You were one of those who helped at the hotel, but you didn't have a lot of work, so you often sat in the lobby of the hotel or at the bar and painted. Husk has been watching you but has never asked about what exactly you are painting. He saw that you were embarrassed to show the drawings to others, so he did not violate your boundaries

Sometimes you went to the art store and usually Vaggie went with you, but this time she couldn't, so she asked Husk to go with you. He was even glad that he was able to leave the hotel and walk a little. You were able to go to the store without any problems and went back to the hotel, but you asked Husk to stay for a while so that you could draw a small sketch. Husk calmly waited for you to finish, but you were interrupted by several sinners who decided to insult your drawing

Husk chased the bullies away quickly, then hurried to you. He saw you sobbing, ready to cry at any moment. You took rude words about your drawings to heart, that's why you reacted like that. He tried to calm you down and even looked at what you had drawn. Your drawing was beautiful, as he told you. Husk understood that you might not have listened to his words, but an uncertain smile appeared on your lips and you quietly thanked him

A few days later, you came back to the bar and handed him the drawing. Husk was surprised to see the drawing that you drew especially for him. Husk thanked you for the drawing, and then saw your happy smile. He kept your gift, realizing how much courage you needed to give it to him. Husk understood that this was a sign of trust for you and he was not going to destroy your trust

New Year's Kiss

You never really liked parties. They were often too loud and too crowded. You hate being forced to socialize with other people. You’re definitely an introvert, and when given the choice would rather stay at home. You especially hate work parties though. Not only do you have to talk to people, but these people are your peers. Your educated, rude peers that have an “I’m better than you” outlook on life. The hardest part about work parties? You can’t escape them. Unless you are on your deathbed, you HAVE to attend. It’s an anxiety fueled nightmare

That is exactly how you ended up at your university’s New Year’s party.

You grip the champagne glass with so much vigor that it may just explode in your hands. People around you are talking, creating a sea of noise which threatens to drown you. Face a little pale, you slowly raise the drink up to your lips and sip. The liquid does little to help you unwind, but it serves as your life vest on this treacherous adventure. Without it in your hands you’d just be standing there awkwardly amongst your peers.

The party is being held in the Performing Arts center, in a large room adorned with gold decorations and giant pillars. In the center there is a live band playing. A jazz band whose music should be relaxing, but in this environment it only adds to the stress. Many people are dressed in their finest clothing, showing off their expensive brands. You opted for something a little more simple, but elegant nonetheless. You’ve done your best to look presentable, but you can’t deny the fact you struggled to force yourself off your computer for this event. Despite it being winter break, you’re working relentlessly to put together a research paper that will HAVE to pull in grants.

You’d much rather be putting all of your energy into that than standing here awkwardly at the party. You need to work hard in order to draw in the attention of benefactors, especially with that certain someone who always seems to be fighting with you for the same grants. It wouldn't be such an issue if the man didn’t beat you almost every time. It was only recently that you lost against him after presenting what you thought was your best work. It didn’t even seem to be a fight in the end, his project was chosen without a second thought. You worked your ass off day and night to perfect every inch of that proposal, and in the end you were left with nothing.

“I didn’t expect to see you here.” A voice rings out beside you, pulling you from your solitude. When you look over you are met with the big brown eyes of the coworker you were just thinking about. Gale Dekarios, the most annoyingly smart person you know. The one who you are constantly butting heads with, and the person you can safely say you hate the most. The worst part about him? He always seems to be correct in a way you can’t refute. He’s wickedly smart, with looks that match. You don’t think there’s a single soul who would describe him as anything but handsome. It’s utterly unfair. Despite your harsh feelings for the man, he always seems to worm his way into your thoughts

“I think you may have misread the email then, Professor Dekarios. The word required was used more than a couple of times.” You answer, crossing your free arm over the one holding your drink. You would know, you were the one in charge of sending out that email. He lets out a soft chuckle and nods. “I happen to thoroughly read every email I get, especially the ones I get from you. I just figured you’d skip out on the festivities seeing as the word “required” doesn’t always guarantee your attendance, Professor.” He points out, taking a sip of his own drink.

While he’s not wrong, you don’t appreciate the way he says it. Everything sounds so sassy coming from his mouth. It feels like a slight on your attendance to these ordeals, or like he’s comparing himself to you. There’s no doubt in your mind that he shows up to every single one of these events. They seem like something he would enjoy. You, on the other hand, do like to skip out on parties, even when they are technically required to go to. The reason behind you playing hooky though, is the man in front of you. He’s always somehow one upping you, making it so you have to work extra hard to earn any amount of attention. And while you could earn that attention by attending these parties, and schmoozing up to the department leaders, you’d much rather gain attention by doing good work. Besides, you’ve never been all that great at networking.

“I do value my job, you know.” you snap, clearly angered by what he said. It is all his fault after all. If he wasn’t so goddamn competent at his job, you might be able to relax every once in a while.

He doesn’t seem phased by your anger, simply nods along. “Ah yes, and how lucky are we to have you here. One of the finest Historians I know.”

‘But never the best’ You think bitterly, sipping your champagne again. You find yourself thinking back to those late nights, scrolling through Rate My Professor to compare your scores. Despite your best effort, he always seems to have the most positive reviews. The students love him, the faculty love him. It seems he will always be better than you, no matter what he is doing.

You intend to end the conversation there, but it seems Gale has other plans. Always the sociable one, he opens his mouth again. “It does seem like you’ve been much more engrossed in your work lately. Planning anything big?” he asks, genuinely curious about your work. However, you have never been good at social cues. Thinking he’s making fun of you, you narrow your eyes at him. “I don’t see how that’s any of your business, Professor” you snap.

He always seems to be trying to gawk at your work. For what? You aren’t sure. Every chance he gets he’s asking what your most recent project is. Sometimes he even asks to view your lesson plans for classes, which always pisses you off. What right does he have inserting himself into your work? Not only that, but what intentions does he have? There’s no way he’s trying to help you, right?

He holds his hands up in feign surrender. “Alright, No need to get snappy. I'm just curious. Who would I be if I was not interested in my colleague’s work?” he asks, offering you a smile.

You really have no idea what to make of this guy. You’ve always hated conversing with him, because it genuinely feels like he has some secret motive behind his kind words and smiles. He has to be making fun of you for something. There is no other explanation. At least not in your mind. Still, maybe you are being too harsh. You let your glare fall, and give him a small nod. You shift your eye over to the clock. Only five minutes to midnight, which means it’s almost time for you to go home.

Your eyes go back to Gale, who is still by your side sipping his drink happily. Why is he still next to you? Doesn’t he have some other poor soul to chat to? You open your mouth to voice this, but he cuts you off by clearing his throat.

“The music is rather lovely today, is it not?” he asks you, avoiding eye contact as if he’s nervous.

What? Why is he talking to you about the music? You seriously don’t understand this man’s intentions with you at all. Is he trying to get you to lower your guard so he can learn all your secrets? No…he’s much too smart to need to do that. He goes above and beyond, relying purely on his brain alone. He would never commit messy tricks to get what he wants. You arch an eyebrow at him, and look over at the band. They’re playing a pleasant tune.

“I guess.” you mumble.

“And the decorations are nice!”

“It’s a little cheesy.”

“Perhaps, but cheesy isn’t always bad.”

You take another sip of your drink, realizing it’s growing quite empty. Well, It’s only three minutes until midnight, You can survive with what you have. You start to get comfortable with the silence, before Gale starts to speak again. “You know we are probably the smartest people in our department. How would you-” You cut him off this time, utterly confused as to why he’s STILL talking to you. “Don’t you have someone else you’d like to talk to?” you ask with complete sincerity. He seems a little taken aback by your question, his smile disappearing for a small second. Within a few moments it’s back on his face though. “No. I actually quite enjoy talking to you.”

Two minutes until midnight.

You’re stunned. What does he mean? You feel your cheeks heat up despite yourself. You clutch onto your drink a little more intensely. “What do you mean?”

“I mean, I enjoy talking to you. You are great company and I-” he cuts himself off.

One minute.

“You?”

He clears his throat, his face turning a bit pink. He then turns to you, taking a deep breath. You expect him to say something, but this time he’s quiet. He just waits for a moment. Once the clock strikes midnight, he wraps an arm around your waist and pulls you in closer to him. He does it slowly, giving you time to move away if you want. You find yourself wanting whatever he is doing though, a flame lighting up inside you. Carefully his lips meet yours, and the room disappears.

The kiss only lasts for a moment, but you can feel the fireworks light up inside you.

“I quite like you.” he admits after pulling away, his face inches from yours. Unsure how to respond, you reach up and kiss him again. This time the kiss lasts a few seconds longer. His lips are warm, a little dry, but so pleasant against yours. When you pull away, he’s smiling again. “I’ll take it, you feel the same?” he asks.

You nod shyly.

“Good. Now, might I propose something that I meant to ask earlier? Would you be willing to do a joint proposal with me?”

How could you possibly say anything but yes?

So unfortunately you can still see posts from people who have blocked you (particularly when someone else links you) and someone wrote this huge rebuttal to the pokemon thing that makes me sound like such a jerk about it, I really can’t just not respond? Like are people doing it on purpose to be rude, skim-reading and filling in the blanks, or do I genuinely communicate my thoughts and opinions that badly the first time? :(

So I’m honestly not even sure what this part of the thread is trying to address or correct me on, for instance, because it uses a screenshot with my explanation right there. I was using this as an example of the differences you get when a model is based on the 2-d art, and I chose the model as seen in Pokemon Home specifically because it follows the pose of the art and therefore makes comparison easier. It is in fact the same exact model used in SwSh, but in the game it has a different shader/filter applied.

This is another odd response because the very first thing I say in my article is exactly what they say here, that the silk was clearly redrawn. And “facing different angles” isn’t relevant because when you draw over a 3-d model, you get the model first and you position it how you want. I wasn’t making a comparison to poses and angles. Parts are also clearly redrawn like the “tail,” but the head especially has that rotoscoped geometry.

So then this person thinks the phrase “auto generated” meant I was bringing AI art into this??? Auto generated means you took the 3-d model and applied 2d stylization filters to it, which has been a thing since before Neuralnet AI art. Filtering 3d into a 2d look is also a legitimate method to make cool artwork, they just didn’t do it in a very good way for some of these Pokemon.

Again this makes me sad enough to have to respond to because it’s written like I’m actually stupid, mean spirited or dishonest over nothing but Pokemon art and it’s just unreal.

When do you think Brian fell in love with Justin?

Omg, a QaF fan??? In my DMs??? It’s more likely than you think. Ok I have many a thought and I’m going to work backwards. It might be controversial b/c I think it happened early on in season 1 because…

By 1x10 Brian is so whipped he drives all night to New York to find Justin and even though he is beyond pissed the second Justin gives him puppy dog eyes Brian is falling over himself to get inside him.

Look at Justin’s smug little face! He knows that he has Brian wrapped around his little finger. He starts stripping and Brian doesn’t do anything but Justin is so confident he teases him and asks if he needs help taking his clothes off. Justin is the king.

Before that in 1x08 after Craig beats Brian up outside of Babylon and gives Justin the ultimatum to go home now or never again; Brian storms off yelling an emphatic “fuck!” He thought Justin would go home and in that moment he was mourning the relationship. I think Brian was already in love. It hurt him to see Justin being asked to choose between his family and Brian but really between his true self and being accepted by his family. Brian knows this pain and it’s why he had not yet come out by this point in the show and it tears him up to see Justin go through that.

Two episodes before, 1x06, we see Brian looking at Justin’s drawing while someone under the covers is giving him head. This scene is the first time we see Brian have sex with someone else while actively imagining they are Justin instead. Also he goes to the art show at the center in this ep and he would not have done that just for Lindsay. He is there for Justin and he is sooo in love.

In 1x05 Brian kicks a trick out because the guy was rude to Justin. At this point Justin is already much more meaningful to him than a one night stand. After this Brian tells Justin not to rely on anyone else and the only person you can trust is yourself. I think this scene is so telling because ostensibly Brian is talking to Justin but really he is desperately trying to remind himself of this belief. He is already in love but he is also afraid of what that means.

I think Brian fell in love as early as 1x03 when Justin had the gall to steal two tricks from him. It was a like-recognizes-like moment. Brian for the very first time respected Justin and saw him as more than just some kid. In a scene at Woody’s in this ep Brian defends Justin to Michael and says “Leave him alone…he’s actually kind of sweet.” Justin’s move at the end of the ep was far from sweet and it not only turned Brian on, it had him head over heels. The way he smiles while kissing him on the dancefloor that night and holds him up in his arms like a trophy. I’m certain Brian took him home and couldn’t keep his hands off him the rest of the night.

For the rest of the season we see the tension between Brian’s love for Justin and Brian’s love for his lifestyle. Falling in love with someone is entirely discordant with Brian’s idea of himself and as we know he feels he can’t be trusted to love someone and have them love him in turn. He is terrified of that vulnerability and he doesn’t want to be hurt especially by someone he has allowed to get this close to him.

This follows them until season 5 when Brian finally allows himself to tell Justin that he loves him. He says it’s because of the bomb, but Brian already had to consider losing Justin once before, and instead of telling Justin that he loved him after the bashing he instead pretends that he didn’t even show up to the hospital despite visiting him every day and watching him sleep. Brian loved Justin from the beginning but he had so much work to do healing from his childhood and the walls he built up before he could even consider letting himself be vulnerable enough to admit it to Justin.

Finally, I just want to say that Justin is god’s strongest soldier. Was he perfect? No. Did he leave Brian and misunderstand him a few times? Yes. But jesus Brian did not make it easy on him. It takes a lot to love someone unconditionally even when they refuse to tell you what you both know is true.

The fluff alphabet w/ Gangle (Full!)

so sorry it took me so long to get to this! i got back to my computer just now and decided to whip up a masterlist/begin one before working on requests again! i must admit gangle is a hard character for me to write, so if some letters seem lackluster, sound repetitive, or whatever, i apologize in advance </3

ABSTRACT- if you ever abstract gangle will be absolutely beside herself, overcome with grief. i dont think she would abstract, though. she keeps to her room, her comedy mask long forgotten. broken or not, she cant bring herself to put it on. she feels bad, why didnt you reach out to her? did you feel like you were a burden? did you think she wouldnt be enough to save you? thoughts like that eat her alive

BONDING- you two draw together, sometimes even making comics with each other! i saw a few posts where gangle loves to draw, and draws in an early 2000-2010s anime art style and i absolutely love that. you guys just do that, when you have the free time

CUDDLING- neither little nor big spoon, gangle is simply. ribbon. its like cuddling ribbon, there isnt much to be said in that regard. kinda cold but thats because ribbon doesnt really carry heat. wraps her body around you

DATES- drawing dates! similar to the bonding segment, but you guys make it a point to draw things for each other. you even get to bust out some paints. yipee! ends up in you two drawing each other. so many painted hearts

EMOTION- gangle is definitely the more emotional one between the two of you, especially if shes wearing her tragedy mask. not much to be said, gangle is a cry baby and i dont mean that in a bad way

FAMILY- should the two of you ever escape the digital world and find each other, you two would definitely get married! as for children, i honestly dont see gangle as the type to have kids, but thats just a me thing

GIFT- really nailing the art stuff deep, gangle draws things for you all the time. but i can also see them being into origami! they make you paper hearts and little critters, bows and crowns, things like that! gangle loves receiving gifts as well, unsure of what she would like, though

IN HOUSE ADVENTURE- the only reason she wouldnt spend all of her time with you on an adventure is if she gets paired up with someone in a group (ex. her sticking with kinger after jax put them together), since i feel she would be too scared to speak up about it, even if shes starting to gain more of a voice thanks to your influence

JEALOUSY- gangle doesnt really. get jealous. at least not in the "traditional" way, to be more accurate, she gets sad. i mean, she knows shes a crybaby, she knows shes frail, but she wouldnt want to make you feel bad that she feels bad. please give her a lot of reassurance :(

KISS- lets play my favorite game! admins favorite hc for characters with no normal mouth/lips! she gently doinks her mask against your face; careful not to hurt you and to not accidentally knock off her mask! loves giving you cheek kisses, loves receiving forehead kisses

LOVE LANGUAGE- gangle feels loves when you reassure her that you love her just as she is, as well as when you spend time with her. gangle shows her love by making you gifts and fawning over you

MENDED- should you ever come back from being abstracted some how, all those thoughts that plagued her mind are now voiced. she cant help it, she feels so bad for dumping her grief onto you the second you're retrieved from the cellar. but she cant stop herself. poor girl is going to wrapped around you, literally..

NO- please dont be mean or rude to her she will feel very bad, even if you're just teasing her or joking. she already has to put up with everyone else (well, mostly jax)

ODDITY- when the comedy mask is on, she can light up a room, well, kinda. we dont get to see her with her comedy mask but i think shes loads more cheerful with it on, and perhaps even a smidge more confident in herself, when the mask is broken she can take a quick nose dive. its not so much thats it weird, more so that its a bit jarring at how big the change is

PDA- very shy about PDA, but i think ultimately if you want to hold her hand she wont object!

QUIET TIME- one word, drawing. but also i can see the two of you just being able to lie in bed with each other in comfortable silence

ROSES- PAPER ROSES PAPER ROSES! i may have a soft spot because i myself used to make origami flowers, but i think she would give you a bouquet of paper flowers. she would be over the moon if you gave her some, she looks like a dandelion enjoyer (like the yellow ones, but i think she would also like the white fuzzy ones)

SHH- loads of secrets, a lot of them tying into the jealousy segment. gangle probably also doesnt speak up about when someone is mean to her, opting to stay quiet in order to not cause issues or drama. please help her break that habit

UPSET- when she gets upset she just wants to be comforted and held; when you're upset shes ready to do everything it takes to help you, just say the word and she'll do it... the image of gangle confronting someone for your sake has just flashed through my mind, though i think that may be the one thing she wont do... would love to see it though

VALENTINE- paper hearts. you two decide to go to the digital carnival together and experience some of the themed attractions... namely, the ferris wheel.... should i bring up everyones favorite ferris wheel trope...

WANT- she wants someone who wont think shes some. weirdo. and who thinks shes worthwhile

Btw I've changed her name from Alastrina to Alice since I got a comment suggesting that Alice would be a better name. Despite that comment's phrasing being a bit on the rude side, I do agree that, yeah, Alice is a better name. So I do genuinely appreciate the critique despite the fact it could've been a bit nicer said. Tbh I just looked up "Female version of Alastor," when I made the edit of Alastor's render and Alastrina was what I got.

I also made a slight edit to Alice's design where I gave her lipstick since I noticed in Viv's OG drawing she probably did have lipstick.

How many people am I gonna make gay/bi/pan/omni/hetero/etc panic over these edits. Like despite these being my own edits, I am one of the people gay panicking-

Disclaimer: These are EDITS. NOT REDRAWS. I did not draw these from 100% scratch, because the point of an edit is to EDIT. Obviously it is going to be traced in some areas (mainly the face and the limbs) because that's what editing is.

Side note: Imo, good screenshot editing actually still requires heavy drawing experience to pull off well. Obviously your tracing in some areas but you're still changing some things, (the entire point) and if you don't know how to draw well, or draw in the show style well, the edit will either look fake or just bad. Edits still require good drawing experience to pull off well, just the same as regular drawing. You just have a templete to go off of. It's basically the same situation as art bases. They might be infamous for often being done poorly, but they can be still be used to make incredible art if the artist is experienced. And this is not to dunk on beginner artists, because I support the practice of edits and bases (as long as proper credit is given and its stated that they used a base or it is an edit) because bases and editing can be used as training wheels for beginner artists, or even profressional artists like me who are learning a new style, (which is what I'm doing rn actually) it's just at some point, if you're someone who does want to improve your art rather then just have fun, you gotta take the training wheels at some point.

Anyway, rant over. I just wanted to talk about my silly thoughts on bases and editing.

I wonder if someone used AI for the promo material. This could explain why some characters are so different. But maybe it's different artists' styles, who knows?

I don’t mean to sound rude but no it’s not that they used ai. They work with A LOT of artists on their projects and sometimes some of them just don’t get characters right, usually in group shots like those ones. This is a game where the characters are mostly anime girls, most of whom have minimal facial features and pale skin. So especially in situations where they’re putting the characters in new outfits or having one artist draw a bunch of them even if they aren’t familiar with each character’s specific traits that fans are looking for, they have a tendency to not get it right on occasion. I had to sort through @arknights-archive to find most of those and the number of passable~good official Nearl art far outnumbers the bad ones I cherry picked. It’s just that the bad ones are so clearly not Nearl-looking that they stand out like that.

People jump to scapegoating ai over every little thing so quickly now, but sometimes it’s really just that one drawing didn’t turn out right

What the Cafe look like

[Sorry if the art look bad, this my first time drawing a building :')]

The Cafe is a 2 story house with a few plants decorated in the entrance of the Cafe; in the inside of the cafe would be like any casual cafes but there would be a smell of coffee mixed Ylang-Ylang. There's also a few posters of something that is encouraging or calming poster, there's also a poster of Barista doing a welcoming for whoever stumbled into the cafe.

On the second floor, it's where Barista is living! The second floor would have a bedroom, a small living room and lastly a bathroom! The inside of the Cafe is color in orange, yellow and pastel orange themed!

Barista!KickinChicken Backstory

KickinChicken was just like the original KickinChicken, living his best life in the colorful and beautiful world (the cartoon version but it's not completely cartoon) he was in the Smiling Critters group and befriending the other critters; DogDay, CatNap, Bubba Bubbaphant, CraftyCorn, Bobby BearHug, Hoppy Hopscotch and lastly PickyPiggy!

He also become CraftyCorn lover, have fallen inlove with the shy but caring unicorn and the person who have help him whenever he feel anxious or self-hating. Well, that was until his world suddenly destroyed, Kickin didn't remember much but he remember of how everything around him started falling down or dissapearing, even his friends... he still remember the sound of screaming coming from his friends, especially his lover.

After he wake up (yes, he fall unconscious when that happen), Kickin found himself in a place where there was nothing but white; there was no grass, no dirt or anything! Is like a blank space, Kickin would call it 'White Void'. In a place that was so unfamiliar and knowing his world is gone, Kickin have fallen into depression even crying of why he's also not being destroy like the others.

Until his star pendant started glowing, something that is unusual from the pendant that was given by CraftyCorn. When the pendant started to glow more brighter, Kickin could feel himself started changing! His body would started to grow taller and a bit bigger than his usual size, his hair/feathers getting a bit longer and a barista uniform would appear aswell!

After that transformation, Kickin have more questions running through his head and when he turn his head, he would spotted a 2-story houses or a Cafe appear out of nowhere and standing infront of him. At first, Kickin was unsure and scare until he slowly stepped inside and when he did, he could feel himself connected with the Cafe... as if he was belong in this Cafe and not only that, there was something telling him in the back of his head that his new role now... was to become a Barista and The Cafe Owner of the 'Kickin Star ☆ Cafe'

Kickin was a bit hesitated at first but he slowly accepted his fate and becoming a Barista and a Cafe Owner. His role was to help the lost traveler that got lost when traveling AU's or to help someone that needed to relax or to talk to. His cafe would only appear when someone needed to relax or wanting to sooth worries but sometime there are a few times where someone stumbled into the cafe without the Cafe coming over to them.

Harassing Content/Fanwork Creators

hiya, serious post time.

so i've been noticing some serious harassment towards people who make content or create fanwork. i've been wanting to stay something for a while but i'm not really good at this stuff so i was holding back,, i have decided not to do that any longer.

the lack of empathy or awareness people seem to have when interacting with content creators is kinda appalling tbh?? like i've seen people comparing people's art (telling person A they should do smth more like person B as if there's a more correct way to do it), putting people's ocs in situations the artist has stated they're uncomfortable with, trying to rush artists, or just outright disregarding an artist's boundaries.

the grossest part of this to me is that it seems people grow more obsessed w something when an artist says "this will never happen/please don't do this". i'm not going to tag people bacause i don't want to annoy anybody but as an example: i've seen an a fanwork creator repeatedly state that their oc will not have children of any kind and they're not comfortable with her being put in positions where she's watching over children in any capacity, and rather than accepting this, people try to find ways around it, question it, or outright ignore it.

i don't care if you didn't mean to be rude or if you were genuinely asking. if someone says "DON'T DO THIS WITH MY CHARACTER", don't fucking do it. it's so disgustingly disrespectful among other things (that i can't put into words bc i will just rant for several paragraphs gbhdf).

you wanna draw kids? make your own oc and draw their kids. stop trying to push that on other people.

also about rushing artists: art is fucking hard. people have lives outside of content creation, and even if they didn't, you still have to handle mental health, burnout, etc. on top of it. don't ask an artist "hey when is x coming out?" especially if they're fairly active?? like wtf have some fucking empathy.

to artists, content creators, and fanwork creators: you do not have to put up with ANYONE'S bullshit. your wellbeing and happiness is important. lay out your boundaries and if people disregard them, block them. people have shit to say about it? block them. you are not evil for wanting to be respected, especially over simple stuff, and being blocked is not the end of the world. people will survive and move on, and if they don't, maybe it'll teach them a much needed lesson.

I just want to rant for a sec so ignore if you’re not interested/know about the Kooleen drama since I haven't seen a lot of people talk about it.

As an artist, I can’t comprehend not understanding black/poc features, ESPECIALLY if you are someone giving out tutorials online to new and impressionable young artists.

If you aren't aware of the Kooleen drama, essentially, she made a side profile tutorial where she called a profile with protruding lips and chin (a feature common in poc) "gorilla looking." After that video, people found a clip of her "criticizing" a drawing of a black girl with the same features claiming it looked "goofy" before using the liquify tool to "yassify" it. In the same video she referred to edges as second eyebrows.

Now, this has a lot of implications, but at the end of the day, all of these can be chalked up to racism. I'm tired of people trying to defend her by saying "oh she's just ignorant." OKAY? AND? If you're an artist giving out tutorials, you have to be knowledgeable about different, non-Eurocentric features, and can't just go around erasing them because you view them as "goofy."

It doesn't help that Kooleen claims to only draw "pretty" people because she knows that it will get her attention on the internet, leading her to get more money. This by itself is fine, but then you notice she literally just doesn't draw black people. Like at all. You can go on her Instagram and look at all her art and I think the darkest character she drew is Miguel O'hara, not before de-aging him of course. Like I get wanting to draw people you find attractive, I believe all forms of art is wish fulfillment, but to only draw Eurocentric white and Asian people is insane.

And if you come at my trying to defend her by saying she was "doing an anime side profile tutorial." or "it's just her style." Then you're stupid. This isn't 2016, you can draw black people/poc in the anime art style without taking away ethnic features. And if your art style prevents you from drawing a wide range of people, including poc, fat people, disabled people, or anything else, then YOU'RE A BAD ARTIST.

This is all to say without even mentioning her art style which, while isn't bad, it's what I would call "safe." Her art is designed in a way that appeals to young artists, and her tutorials do the same. It's why her tutorials very rarely go over 10 minutes, because she isn't actually trying to teach you how to improve YOUR art, she's teaching you how to draw in her "juicy" style. It's very clear at least to me that she doesn't actually understand concepts like anatomy and face structure, just the basic ways of drawing them to make her characters look as visually appealing as possible.

Overall, I'm just disappointed with the amount of racism in art communities. If you are someone who likes Kooleen or are simply an artist looking for tutorials online, please look for tutorials that actually teach you how to understand what you are trying to learn. I'm tired of this trend of art tutorials that are 20 seconds long that don't teach you anything other than how to draw a basic looking eye as quickly as possible. If you really want to learn, look up references of real people, not quick and easy tutorials. Look at yourself in a mirror rather than watch a video on how to draw a pretty anime girl. Watch a video of someone explaining the basics to you rather than refusing to learn.

And please, I implore you to draw things out of your comfort zone. If you're just drawing for fun, okay, whatever. But if you're serious on improving, only drawing skinny white people is going to get you nowhere. You can't improve by staying in the same place forever.

Also, if you genuinely believe that Kooleen did nothing wrong please explain, I would love to have a discussion with you as long as you're not rude.

Okay. Wow. (also feel free to circulate this post to people even if they don't like me)

I didn't want to make a post like this but things have gone too far. I am still not mentioning names. If you know you know, if you don't know, ignore this post and be happy that you don't know.

Yesterday I went on a blitz of blocking people I was told had been sharing my private DMs and talking shit about me behind my back with an artist who is freaked out that I told them I wouldn't take down a reblog, and then explained that they are popular with RavWave shippers, and that I didn't know who they were until other shippers sent me their stuff, because their art does look shippy to us.

It seems that a lot of the people who are really mad about this (and you're welcome to share this one post of mine with those people, though I do not appreciate that their friends have been stalking my blog in general) think that I was trying to ARGUE with that person.

Much as their motivation in drawing the art was not to depict my OTP, my motivation in telling them that they accidentally did was not to argue with them about how they should view the relationship. It was information about why people get what is apparently the wrong idea about their art.

If I were writing or drawing something that was being misinterpreted all over creation, I would want to know why.

Then I would be armed with the knowledge to decide whether or not I wanted to do things differently in the future.

"I don't care what those people think" is a valid decision. So is "hmm, maybe she has a point." Whichever decision I made, I'd want to make it as an informed decision.

I feel a little sorry about this giant misunderstanding, but I'm absolutely disinclined to apologise because:

Their first message to me was insulting. Many people believe that it was a "polite request". But polite words can be used in a thoroughly rude and nasty way. There is no nice way to tell someone that you think they're so nasty you don't want your public posts appearing on their blog.

Saying no to requests is a thing that people are allowed to do.

Their second message to me, which evaded my block because it was sent to another account, was blatantly offensive and went into the quality of my family and relationships. I didn't respond to that because I'd have gone off.

They have their friends stalking my blog and have admitted to doing so, and have responded to venting on my part by vagueblogging in my own blogs by telling everyone that they're the person I am annoyed with and here are the receipts. Seriously, wtf?

I only know this because I'm trying to block all the assholes who are reposting my personal conversations with them, a thing i only know because a friend of mine told me so after receiving a demand they unfriend me.

This person and their friends are sending anon asks to my friends, or in one case, publicly demanding in an RP community, that people who want to interact with them unfollow me, because they will not interact with anyone who interacts with me. Go the fuck back to high school, Regina.

Don't put icing and sprinkles on a pile of shit and tell yourself you gave someone a chocolate cake. This person has never been "nice" to me.

Under the cut: why IDW Ravage would never allow herself to be handled like a pet cat, and why RavWave shippers feel the same way about the Earthspark deleted scenes, even though we know that's probably not what the showrunners meant us to think.

I have come to the conclusion that's it's just another case of antis thinking that if you can see two people in a non-platonic relationship that they think of as family, you're just nasty. Especially if the feline shaped character is being handled like a pet cat.

But the person who said "I look disrespectfully on anyone who ships this, that's just a goof and his cat" has missed the entire point of these characters' relationship. Soundwave would never treat or handle Ravage like she was a pet cat.

Anyone else who says RavWave shippers are nasty because "it's NoRMaL to handle your cat that way" is fundamentally not getting who Ravage is and how she feels about being touched.

Ravage is a sapient adult mech with a full range of sapient adult feelings, and touching her like she's an animal is a microaggression or a macroaggression, depending upon where and how you touch her. The oppression of beastformers is a big fucking thing in IDW 2005. Other beastformers also complain about constantly having to deal with unwanted and disrespectful touching. (Fortress Maximus is a known offender.)

IDW Ravage is sleeping in Megatron's bed throughout MTMTE (when she's under it, she's guarding him). She only allows him to touch her neck in front of others...because behaving like a pet cat increases the chances that people will treat her like one.

(She almost cut Nautica several times. That's another character I ship her with, because what would be funnier than her realising that this actually is a whole ass person and if she can't stop touching her, she might actually be attracted to her?)

(Note: Canonically, Ravage in IDW uses he/him, and I do know that. However, about half the fandom writes Ravage as female. I'm in that half.)

BTW, I feel exactly the same way about the Earthspark deleted scenes. Every RavWave shipper on the planet does. We've talked about it. We realise that the artists and showrunners probably intended it to be innocent on the grounds that she is a cat. But we are also people who like to write her as an adult Decepticon officer with agency and self-respect who wouldn't behave like that in front of other people unless they knew he has privileges they don't.

I am aware that half the fandom draws Ravage art that's basically cat memes. (I hate that so much. But as a proshipper, I recognise people have the right to depict characters any way they want. That doesn't mean I haven't had to vent to people like @bitegore and @miner16 to keep myself from saying something.)

Also, I strongly suggest that people who get this worked up about misinterpretations of their art or writing do not become professional creators. As a member of fandom since the 1970s, I'm kind of super extremely aware that most of what fandom does is counter to what the creator intended, and frequently that's the point.

I'm also kind of super extremely aware that if you don't have loads of people reinterpreting and remixing your work and your characters, that actually means nobody cares about your work enough to have blorbo feels about your characters.

(The side poll, which came from another blog and mentioned no names, was an irritated attempt to find out whether people really do think it's normal to cuddle your mom that way, because the second message insinuated that my mother and I must have a terrible relationship because we don't touch each other like that. I kinda wanted to know what people who were not predisposed to take my side and did not know what was going on would think of that idea, because I really do not think most people touch their mothers like that; their mothers aren't nonsapient animals and would thus consider it weird and inappropriate.)

Magellany (Redo) (Nebulite)

Move out of the way, here comes the greatest adventurer in the whole damn galaxy: Magellany!

"Just call me Mag!"

She is brave, strong and... acts before thinking. She gets irritated easily, especially when people get in her way, calling them get-in-the-ways. Magellany is very rude and honest, never holding back on any comments.

She is a Nebulite, a peculiar species of sentient nebulae. Her body composition makes it possible to morph into any form as she wishes. She is not confined to a humanoid body. Her preferred weapon is her trusty Scimistar.

This magical sword is a projection of her soul which is located on her chest, in the shape of a crystal. Her power comes from this object and is also her weak point.

Nebulites have incredible capabilities for Cosmic Magic. While not on the same level as someone like Mr. Sky, they are capable of creating spontaneous life. They do so to help with tasks or do jobs that might be dangerous for them. These rudimentary organisms can last as long as the user needs them to. Their intelligence is very limited though.

She is not good with this ability though since nobody taught her and so the most she can do is use raw life energy to create primitive beings that she uses as weapons.

In Soul Trail, her special attack is making a little dude that goes in a straight line and damages far away opponents. Once I restart development I plan on adding more of this ability to her move set.

She claims to hear voices from space. Her favorite animals are tarantulas and she really likes long sleeved clothing along with robes.

Backstory

She lives in a solitary planet with her older sister, Nube. Their parents are long gone and so her sister takes care of her and usually does what is best for her. Mag attends navigation classes at some kind of academy and she hates it there. Often daydreaming of what could be is she were able to sail out into space on a ship of her own with treasures to find, foes to defeat, and people to befriend. All in her own way without anyone telling her what to do.

Beneath all her harshness hides a lonely girl who only wants friends and a life she can have control over. Her short-lived creations are the only creatures who stay by her side.

Her creations only live for minutes. She likes to sit on the roof of her house and talk to them

One day something really big would happen that would change her whole life...

Inspiration

As mentioned in the post, she is a nebula; a space cloud. She is meant to be the Magellanic Cloud (hence her name) and her coloration is taken from NGC 2074. The powers Nebulites have of creating life is a reference to how all planets are born from nebulae, this could eventually lead to the creation of life within these planets.

She was the first character made for this project and has gone through some changes over the years.

As for her clothes and design, I was really into Kirby at the time and so many of my early designs sort of looked like spacey Kirby-ish inspired creatures.

You think you prepared for protecting yourself your whole life, being an omega motivating you in the art of self-defense. Aikido. Karate. Boxing. Someone names it, and you’ve probably taken at least one class in it, but now your mind is drawing blanks. Your head is flooding, thoughts growing dizzy as the scent of mint radiates around you. Your skin feels sticky hot, and you curse as you note Todoroki is breathing in your scent

In the shadows of the stairwell, Todoroki holds you tight to the spot, but you aren’t sure you’d be able to move either way, not with his head practically magnetized to your shoulder.

This is the type of things that happen in television dramas. Todoroki was acting funny so you followed him out of class to make sure he was okay and wouldn’t pass out somewhere, you know, like a good classmate, not because you worried about him more than anyone else. The next thing you know, he yanks you under here. You almost worked up the nerve to tell him it was extremely rude to do so but then this happened.

“Is this like one of those rutting things?” you think to yourself. Did that mean he was going to try to mate you? You didn’t want that to happen. Maybe. Well, even if you did, you were way too young for that! Especially since he hadn’t even bothered to ask! Not that you would’ve said yes. Probably. Either way, he was going need a good lesson about consent!

“Hey! What do you think you’re doing! You should at least ask before you go grabbing people!”

Your complaint does nothing to deescalate the situation, and his fingers squeeze into the sides of your biceps a little harder.

“Be quiet for once,” he demands, and you squirm as the ends of his hair tickle your neck. He breathes in steady and slow yet deep. “Sorry…I…Just stand still for a minute. Please.”

It’s clear from his shaky demeanor that something is wrong, and you find yourself stilling. You’re not sure if he’ll tell you about what’s bothering him, but it seems to help when the world goes quiet except for his stuttering inhales.

You don’t speak, allowing the moment to reform inside your mind as something needed, and he’s thankful that you don’t push away. Todoroki can finally relax when the warmth of your arm starts to sink into his back.

You stay like that until he decides to end the long moment by pulling away.

“Are you feeling okay now?” You question.

“Yes,” he answers. “Thank you.”

Curious, you follow up. “What was that all about?”

“Oh,” he pauses, hands itching at his sides, embarrassed. “I needed to ground myself a bit.”

“What does that mean?”

“My mind was a bit heavy, and I needed something to focus on,” he explains but your worried face clearly shows that you’re still a little confused so he adds, “I was…having a bad day, and your scent is calming and familiar. That’s all.”

You didn’t know how to feel about the funny feeling his words were making inside your stomach, but you couldn’t deny the idea that he liked your scent nice; and if it was for something like that, then you guess you could be generous enough to help him, (like a good classmate!). “Oh, well, next time tell me that from the start instead of pinning me down, because I-I thought you were trying to do something dirty.”

“No,” he says, his face lightly flushed. His gaze retreats to the corners of the area before falling back over you, and it makes you want to hide your face away. “We’re in public space so something like that wouldn’t be appropriate, but if you really need to then after curfew would be best.”

You choked. He was getting way too ahead of himself. “Why would I need to?!”

“You seem really stressed a lot of the time, and I heard knotting reduces stress for omegas,” he explains and blushes a bit darker. “Honestly, I would prefer if you asked me to help before someone else but—“

Did he think his thing had healing properties or something?!

“I said I don’t need to! And that’s another thing, you can’t go around assuming—“

Todoroki decides your scent is very soothing but you are very loud. For some reason, he still likes both.

Everyone has been treating Elriels SO BAD and disgustingly over the years, and when we defend ourselves we are painted as the “mEaN gUyS”. I’d dare to say that we are the “saints” of this fandom. I know there are some Elriels that can come off more rude than they should, but this is life. Nothing is perfect.

But a hard pill for y’all to swallow is that Elriels are usually soooo peaceful, minding their business and just enjoying their CANON content. They create edits, fan arts and post about Elriel not harming anyone, but then YOU KNOW WHO comes after us, ON OUR ACCOUNTS, ON OUR PRO ELRIEL VIDEOS, PICS OR THEORIES, that have absolutely NOTHING to do with their crackship(s), and spew their venom. They speak so many lies that don’t even come close to what is the CANON content of the books. They insult us and call us names, they bullied some creators SO BADLY they refuse to do Elriel fan arts anymore. YOU ALL ARE DISGUSTING AND I PRAY TO GOD FOR KARMA TO HIT SO HARD! I myself was a victim of y’all’s bullying when I did NOTHING! I just appreciated my Elriel and put facts on the table. Y’all told me I deserve to be R@PED just like Elain deserves!!!!

We, Elriels, have been put in a corner by THE ENTIRE FANDOM! This mob mentality made y’all treat Elriels like people with some kind of disease and it’s so sad honestly.

I’m not even being biased when I say that Elriels are usually very good people minding their business and the other stans of those 2 ships (y’all know) are constantly attacking us and making fun of us out of nowhere. They keep making content about Elain making fun of her, but yeah, they don’t like her. Lol. Y’all are so obsessed and have such internalized misogyny it’s scary. Especially when El didn’t do anything wrong, besides maybe the thing with Feyre that she’s making up for it. She’s a saint compared to many others in that serie, yet… she’s hated for liking to bake and plant flowers. Make it make sense. 😶

I think it’ll be ok for everyone to acknowledge WHO exactly is the most toxic in this fandom; who’s constantly attacking us for PUTTING FACTS on the table, who’s bullying artists into being scared to draw Elriel anymore, who’s harassing SJM at this point with a crackship that has 0 buildup. WHO IS SENDING DEATH THREATS to people so randomly just because, who is wishing R@PE on REAL people? The list is so long I just can’t…

I always knew that the mob mentality is forever going to be present, but OH MY GOD. These people that hate Elriel and ship the other ship just because “everyone does”, those going into the books already shipping Gw*nriel because “some content creators of TikTok said they’re sooooo endgame”, THOSE BIG ACCOUNTS THAT SPREAD ELAIN HATE JUST BECAUSE IT’S “TRENDY”. Y’all are SO pathetic; I wonder if you can think on your own.

Should I also talk about how often y’all don’t acknowledge what’s in those books related to Elriel? There are tons of evidence y’all pretend it’s not there and have THE NERVE to say Az only wants El for s*x. Bro, Feyre when she couldn’t read would’ve understand these books (and Elriel) better than y’all. 🤓 The delusional world y’all live in makes me laugh. What’s even funnier is when you are the ones making fun of US, when we have all our proof that Stands with us. WE ARE ON THE CANON SIDE, if we can say it this way.

Literally at this point, STOP being so toxic, and let Elriels IN PEACE. Acknowledge that Az and El have feelings for each other and that EVERYTHING points to them as endgame, and even SJM herself said that “it’s obvious”. None of us would’ve have any problem if y’all only acknowledged that Elriel is for the next book, and then go on with your day and make X head canon ships. It’s not harming to ship Az with someone else for fun, but when it comes to the ACTUAL BOOK & CANON, the answer it’s only Elriel. Just stop lying to yourselves. And stop playing the victim when Elriels have been like in prison for many years, being pushed aside and all. WE ARE THE VICTIMS OF THIS WHOLE FANDOM. The fact that I’m scared to even write a comment positive about Elriel or my girl Elain because I just know someone’s gonna say something “ironic” or bash me for whatever reason, says A LOT. And it’s the case for soooo many Elriels.

One last thing, I know we are reading fantasy books, but at least don’t make a fantasy of a couple the main talk of this fandom, lol. The couple should actually have “history”, build up & hints/ foreshadowing. CANON SCENES. And only Elriel has them. BYE. 🩷🌸💙🦇

i debated answering this, but i figured i've gotten a lot of new readers recently and decided to take it as a chance to kinda readdress a few things. no hard feelings towards you anon, i get similar asks occasionally that are far ruder than you and i assume you were asking genuinely.

i've talked a lot about Lea and their various gender identities previously and while i haven't directly answered this question before it's not a secret (and if you're a patron you will have read the snippets and seen the nude art i've drawn of him anyways). Lea has not had bottom surgery, but he has had top surgery. like i said, it's not a secret, so i would feel silly refusing to acknowledge it, but it's also not something i like to address in this way.

my rule is that if you wouldn't ask someone in real life this question, you probably shouldn't ask it about a character. yes, they are fictional, but i've found that, especially online, it tends to set a precedent that leads to people asking more and more rude and intrusive questions, and being trans myself a lot of the time it makes me very uncomfortable and typically leads into harassment. i also don't like answering them because transphobia is real and even though these characters are fictional, i don't want to potentially imply that questions like this are "acceptable" and have people walking around in real life thinking they are entitled to real trans people's privacy. IF really tends to have a problem with entitlement and misgendering and obsessing over trans/nb character's agab and genitals, which is partly why i have the no nsfw rule regarding asks to begin with.

however, to be clear, my issue with this kind of question is not that it is sexual - in fact i dislike treating trans bodies as inherently sexual or as something that is "off-topic" and it frustrates me that i have to take these precautions when discussing my characters. but, again, we live in a world full of transphobia and it makes these conversations challenging at best and dangerous at worst, especially online where everyone gets to be anonymous.

i always intended for my characters to come out in-game, as the player/character gets to know them, in an attempt to avoid that entitlement and to make it more organic (though it hasn't really worked out that way. so it goes) but i've only just recently felt comfortable drawing and writing more explicit work with Clem and Noel, and that's been kind of a big deal for me, hahaha.

so i know going forward people will be curious and this will probably come up again as the game progresses and i write in more explicit scenes, and i just want to make it clear my stance on these kinds of questions and that i tend to either delete them and/or block people that send me transphobic asks or leave similar invasive comments.
