so far the thing i like best about nu: carnival is that eiden is genuinely lovely and i completely understand why all these dudes are just dropping everything to follow him around

While I'm anxiously awaiting Midori showing up and making everything worse or generally something bad happening at some point because this is all waaay to happy to last (and it's Your Turn to Die we're talking here), I'm going to appreciate these little cutscenes while I can. The artstyle is super adorable and really adds a lot of charm to the whole game (also the sun wearing the sunglasses is really great). It feels like trying to lull me into a false sense of security with all the cuteness, and if that's the intent, great job to the artist. It's very much working.

#Grays been emulating windwaker on his pc and I’ve been watching time to time. Reminds me of playing it the first time years ago #I really like the graphics on the hd version with the colouring and everything.. and everything is cartoony #Although it also gives me a fear of the ocean because of its sheer size. Literally miles of water as far as the eye can see #Also had a fear of sailing at night because no music would play and the sharks and seahats would pick on me so I would pass #The controller to my brother. But apparently you can just ignore them and keep sailing and they won’t be able to hit you 🗿#ALSO THE MAIN THEME IS STILL A BANGER TK THIS DAY I love the theme songs for wind waker and skyward sword #Need to find a way to emulate skyward sword. #Doodles #SCII #Helix #ZEX #Crackship #Xigbar #Of all the crackships that I didn't expect I probably wouldn't have expected these two the most lol #I super wasn't expecting to feel So strongly about them this is like multi-tier Big Feelings in varying directions #One - ZEX - obvious (lol) | Two - Xigbar (hehe II hehehe) - I think I mentioned it like maaaybe once over here but I was Huge into KH #Specifically Org XIII specifically-specifically 358/2 it is the only game in the Kingdom Hearts line that I've beaten and probably ever will #Oh no wait that's not true I did play through all of the DS release of Re:Coded but like......does that count lol I think no #I played the intro of Kingdom Hearts II and shut it off after the bit with Roxas and Sora like - the egg scene how do I non-spoilers this #I own it and I will never beat it I am too sad I want only my Nobodies lol <3 #Kingdom Hearts had a big influence on me - that and Magic Knight Rayearth are a big explanation as to Why I'm Like This lol #Cough cough casting away the dark parts of your heart only for it to come back and bite you later and also The Gay™ lol #But AnyWay lol - Xigbar!#He wasn't my favourite-favourite - aside from Main Characters that'd probably go to Marluxia - but I still hold him very fondly!!#Definitely doodled him a good bit he's very handsome ♪#And just - ah ♥ An old fave and a new(er) fave interacting and making each other happy and feel nice and play well I just fsalkfdf #As well as that being Max's body! #i'm gonna get heat for this #but hunter was a mid player at best and the main reason people are upset he went out is because he's attractive #he was literally safe the entire game until his boot episode #AND HE STILL COULD HAVE BEEN SAFE IF HE'D PLAYED HIS IDOL #but he misplayed that round SO badly #because the first time he actually was in potential danger he scrambled and burned out hard #and yes he was good at challenges but so far his only real competition in them has been charlie #who still at least up until this point hasn't been viewed as a challenge threat and has actually had to manuever to survive multiple rounds #and i really liked hunter as a person!#he did have a surprising and cute story!#and two of his allies didn't eat themselves immediately come merge maybe he would have done better #but he still mishandled that round so poorly socially and strategically #survivor 46 #survivor

Ahhh!! Happy birthday, Ro!! He's three already, can you believe it??

He's a follower of the Path of Animism, which is good, and I believe he has the best hair in the colony (he got that from Kaz's side of the family, I think).

Debby immediately decided to begin the important job of educating the resident three-year-old about the scientific method. None of the three-year-olds I've met in real life seemed to grasp that sort of thing, but perhaps Ro is just built different.

Aaand then my game crashed and wouldn't open again. I think I know which mod is causing the problem, and I'm hoping I'll be able to fix it, but please bear with me if updates are a bit slower for a bit.

#hsr #honkai star rail #hsr 2.2 #hsr spoilers #hsr leaks #the body of this post reads as far less enthusiastic than i really am #i just don’t know how to casually return from my latest 2 week hiatus only to gush abt a game i’ve hardly blogged abt before #but i’m not making a whole ass sideblog for it like i did for Genshin. nah y’all r gonna bear witness to my fixation with this one #so anyways don’t mind me. vibrating into another dimension with anticipation for the next 11 days #it’s insane man. a year ago i Never ever woulda thought i’d be so invested in this game. and it took Months for the game to really grab me #but i’m v glad i kept coming back even when i was struggling to really get into it. like i just had this feeling that if i stuck around and #gave the game a chance to really like. come into its stride. i just always felt like there was Something there and i just hadn’t found it #and holy shit i finally found it in Penacony. the devs really truly outdid themselves with this region and these characters and this story #not to discount everything that’s happened prior. like i was genuinely Liking it all before now but i wasn’t Loving it y’know #but that may be more a ‘me having to fight tooth n’ nail to force myself to consume new media’ thing than it is a matter of the actual game #anyways i came here to talk abt the program! bc since i’m not filming my HSR stuff i’m gonna be insufferable abt it on Tumblr instead ! :)#and i’m probably not filming any more Genshin stuff. or anything else at all for that matter but let’s not talk abt that dead dream #pun not intended lmao.
