i don’t think you guys appreciate how absolutely hilarious it is to hear kit connor say he can’t dance TWICE and say he has “no musical ability” in heartstopper only to remember him going full musical theatre down the street as young elton john in rocketman like okay you fucking liar
I fucking LOVE that Donna is not immune to being a little starry-eyed over The Doctor in the way that many of us get a little starry-eyed over our best friends but she IS immune to being that way in front of them lmao. Double love that this appears to also be Catherine Tate and David Tennant's dynamic
the thing that makes my entire body itch about that darcy confession scene parallel is that that's the fucking MIDPOINT of darcy's and elizabeth's story. you've baked the pancake halfway and you've tossed it in the air and you're holding your breath --- and now you've got to catch it and BAKE THE OTHER SIDE!!! you can't just roll the credits and leave me hanging like that!!! what if there's never a third season??? the pancake is ON THE GROUND NEIL!!!
I don’t think that non-FNAF fans understand the level of hype that this movie has for FNAF fans because oh my god this movie could be utter fucking garbage down to the last detail and I’m still going to see it ten times at a MINIMUM
roman thinks he killed logan didn’t he . thinks he called him a cunt and that’s why logan had a heart attack. he forgot to tell him he loved him. he’s going to become logan now as a means of repentance isn’t he . he’s gonna become atn and mencken and all of it because he thinks he needs to, he thinks he has to, he needs to make things right. motherfucker
the bad kids spending so much time trying to figure out a way to cheat the system so they could all answer the riddle correctly at the same time only for the riddle to be vultures: yay or nay? is one of the funniest things brennan as ever done
But fuck yeah with all the excellent discussion about this today the angrier I get at Izzy for the absolute nerve he had in telling Ed the atmosphere on the ship was bad in s2e1.
Because. Whose fault is that, Izzy??? Last I checked everyone was hangin' out and vibing and planning a talent show until something happened, Izzy. Last I checked Ed was starting to feel better and was taking active steps to make himself happier until someone started yelling at him Izzy. What was it that made Ed feel so unsafe Izzy. Why does Ed now immediately assume any invitation to talk about his feelings is the leadup to a threat on his life Izzy. Why do you think this could be Izzy.
Thinking about writing a “time travel” fic where after the events of rdr1 John doesn’t die but instead wakes up on the cliff side of colter after being mauled by wolves. He has a chance to fix things, to save people to save himself for his family. But most importantly he gets to coddle and adore a 4 year old Jack because “oh my god my boy is so small I can’t believe I didn’t appreciate him at this time”
Trying to wrap my brain around a post about Ashton and Taliesin.
About player risk and character risk.
The player's desire to make interesting choices and contribute to a compelling narrative.
And the character, wanting to fulfill destiny, to be special, to be whole.
The player, misreading the DMs intentions, seeing a daring challenge for his character in what was actually an impossibility the DM never expected him to try.
And the character, misjudging the warnings of powerful people because they know better, this should be theirs, and if they aren't strong enough to take it they might as well be dead anyway.
The player, secure in the knowledge that his friends might yell and be mad at them a bit, but ultimately there's no chance of losing anyone over this.
And the character, out of trust with every single member of the group, faced with the possibility of losing everyone.
I don't know. To have both character and player expectations so radically subverted is hard, and I felt like Taliesin had to do a lot of digging and reconciling for Ashton between these past two episodes to get in the right headspace.
In an episode where there was a spotlight on every Ashton relationship, each one felt distinct and authentic, which is a credit to both Taliesin and the cast as a whole.
