pet peeve: when the fic has albert refer to chris as “christopher” or even “redfield” to hammer in the fact that he’s strictly anti-colloquial when there exist literal compilations of him barking “chris Chris chris.Chris cHris CHRIS chrisssssCHRRRIISSS” across each installation of the resident evil franchise

It's actually good to see these two disagree
Tumblr media
I think it's interesting when it comes to Chris and his negative behavior in RE6 people are more understanding towards him. Especially about the trauma and difficult situations he has gone through, even referring to it as "character growth", which I agree with wholeheartedly. However, when it comes to Jill people expect her to not develop. Some say she should be pleasant and nice in reference to what they think the "old Jill" was despite the trauma she faced for three years of her body and mind being used and abused under Wesker's control in RE5. There were people actually expecting her to be the same person she was before in the Death Island movie. I don't understand that at all. She literally had to be in rehab and under observation for 6 YEARS because of what she went through in Africa, meaning that she really needed a lot of treatment, both physical and mental, after all of that. But I guess people expected her to be completely fine after that? Not sure why there's a double standard between Chris' character development and Jill's. Maybe it's because with Chris you see his problems unravel in the games while we don't clearly see Jill's true reaction to her trauma after she returns from Africa. We also don't get to see what she even went through when her body was used to make antibodies for the Uroboros project to the process of being mind-controlled. We only know the details of what she went through in notes and special files from RE5 and only a few details from her observation/rehab period from an email she wrote to Barry that can be found in Revelations 2. But I doubt that many people took the time to read these things while playing these games. I'm also willing to believe that rather than thinking Jill's personality changed, she is just showing a new determined side of her that stems from her deep regret about everything that happened to her.
People said that she was rude to Chris in the Death Island movie but to me, it just looked like two people who have known each other for so long, who deeply care for one another and have gone through their own troubles just having a disagreement. This shouldn't be a shock seeing that close friends, lovers, partners, etc do have arguments. It's actually a good thing to have arguments once in a while because it shows that the two people in that relationship are very close. Also, wouldn't you be pissed if you came back to work after being gone for 6 years and being told you need to sit this one out and think about things? Jill has been sitting around for 6 years "thinking about things" in rehab so why do you want her to wait around again? Don't get me wrong, Chris' concern for Jill was very valid but the way he went about it caused some misunderstanding between the two. But it's okay because even people who are very close to each other disagree sometimes.

ive noticed that a lot of people seem to misunderstand S.T.A.R.S era wesker. i see it in fanfiction a lot where he's a complete and utter emotionless hardass.
i dont think this was the case in canon. working as a captain in a unit akin to SWAT you have to be tough, stern, and the like, but albert also needed to gain the trust of his team - and being unapproachable and feared is not the way to go, and he knows that.
every iteration of wesker is pretty different from each other. peter jessop's version is the one im going to be talking about since that version of wesker is who we see in RE remaster.
wesker is actually quite informal with his alpha team members, referring to them by their first names a number of times, and they don't use "sir" or "captain" on him at all. his tone, and language also give off major chill vibes (although this is probably because his plans are coming into fruition) he's a bit soft-spoken and doesnt sound nearly as sophisticated as he does in most fanfiction.
when i first became obsessed with resident evil i remember analyzing everything in the S.T.A.R.S office, it didnt stand out to me before but there were dart boards, CDs, chris' guitar, etc ... i bet they had more fun in that office than we thought. but what really gets me is that wesker must've allowed them to bring this stuff in (which is really funny because i'm imagining him raising eyebrows at chris bringing in this huge guitar one morning).
he trained members of the alpha team (and maybe bravo team too?) not only because thats his job but because he needed that combat data as well. though, i'd argue that sending people that were ill-prepared is sorta dumb and a waste. rebecca wasnt great at physical combat and brad was... a chicken, you'd think he'd work harder to have them become better but nope. he probably gave S.T.A.R.S leeway a bunch of times.
of course, i think the idea of him being a bit mean and an asshole to atleast one specific person in S.T.A.R.S is enthralling- whether it be chris, jill, a self-insert or whatever! also this wasnt made to bash any headcanons, do what you want! it's all fictional stuff anyway ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧ just thought i'd share my incoherent thoughts (๑>؂•̀๑)

So, mad scientist headcanon enthusiasts? I'm back with a new batch. And this time we will talk about Wesker and Birkin. Let's begin 🪴
Tumblr media
1) Only they can tolerate each other. And this is actually true when a sociopath and a paranoid are not the easiest alliance. Albert and William understand this very well, but agree that at least they are immensely close to each other.
2) In the educational complex, they often played dirty tricks on each other at the very beginning. They stole notes, tore up each other’s work, and stuff like that. It didn't last that long.
3) William and Albert sometimes left the stuffy walls of the educational complex to be in the forest that surrounded it on all sides. There they could spend hours simply wandering the paths, talking to each other and sharing deeper experiences than within the walls of the complex.
4) From the previous point, the following emerges - for both of them, an excuse to take a walk sounds like an invitation to a conversation of a more personal nature.
5) Since William loves coffee, and Albert prefers tea, they do not understand each other’s preferences. But they remember each other’s preferences.
6) Albert fought with William several times. And besides, the initiator of the fight was always Birkin himself, who did not restrain his too impulsive behavior (not a single Birkin was hurt).
7) It was Albert who initiated a closer acquaintance between Annette and William. He, of course, did not persuade anyone and did not arrange anything. Just being observant noticed that Annette admires Birkin's intelligence. Albert thought it would be a good idea for William to have someone else who could remind him that he was a genius. Who would have thought that this would all develop into marriage?
8) By the way, Albert got along well with Sherry when she was little. Despite his character in general, he always treated Sherry well.
9) William is annoyed that Albert always wears sunglasses. But he knows that it is better not to touch them.
10) William's paranoid behavior intensified under the influence of painful thoughts that he may have killed Albert with his own hands (referring to the transfer of the serum before the S.T.A.R.S. squad went to the Spencer mansion). Wesker's response, of course, was not to feel that way when William died in the Raccoon City incident. But he often thought about how things could have turned out differently if William had agreed to go with him (referring to the events of RE0).

Happy Valentine’s Day
Here’s how I think my favorite characters share their day with you
Wesker is always busy, always having to do one thing or another and rarely had time for you as it is. However, on Valentine’s Day, he puts everything aside to take you on a beautiful date with flowers and chocolates and plushies and balloons, that ends in a nice restaurant with your favorite foods. Taking over the world can wait for the night. You don’t even need to do anything, he just wants to spend time with you alone for once.
Leon LOVES Valentine’s Day, expect smooches, hugs and lots of presents from him throughout the whole day. Lots of gifts like clothing, foods, plushies, flowers, jewelry, snacks whatever your heart desires. And don’t get me started on how happy he’d be if you have something back to him.
Bi-Han had to be told what Valentine’s Day was about because he thought it was just a commercial holiday. But when he learned it was about giving your loved ones things like chocolates and flowers, of course he grumpily did so too. Can’t be looking bad in front of you when his brothers have already celebrated it. He doesn’t know exactly what to get, but he knows what his mom enjoyed, flowers and chocolates and a little note. So that’s what he’ll do too.
Smoke doesn’t have much reference to Valentine’s Day either but he loves the idea of it, and of course when it rolled around he cooked breakfast for his beloved, woke them up with kisses, gave them flowers, handed them chocolate and had a nice little tea date together. Just a sweetheart who’ll puff and fluster if you said you had chocolates for him too.
Kuai Liang also didn’t know much about the holiday but he understood it quicker than Bi-Han did. He went in on it immediately, going out for a lunch date, picking flowers he’d think you’d like, walking through all the chocolates to see which one would catch your eye. And of course, he wrote a note detailing how much he loved you.
Miguel is a busy guy who had to be shoved out of work just to spend Valentine’s Day with his beloved partner. He huffs and puffs about it but actually has a nice day with you, despite his want to work. But he eventually settles and takes you out on a date together, a nice little cafe first, then a restaurant, then a movie, and then walking together through some local shops. Flowers, love letters, chocolates, plushies, jewelry, you name it he’ll buy it. He just wants this day to feel special since the others are taking care of work for him.

(1) Hey there! I've been totally engrossed in your meta analyses on RE. You've nailed everything I've felt about the Aeon ship but couldn't express. It's tough to share views on Aeon nowadays without backlash. Their dynamic always puzzled me, like I get the trauma bonding and that they care abt each other, but come on, she keeps being part of the world Leon swore to destroy and that's not enough of a red flag for him? (cont)
(2) With the RE4 remake, it looks like they're trying to change their whole relationship, and I'm here for it. It's obvious he's rejecting her, but people blindly try to convince themselves they're a thing. They will look for the dumbest or overanalyze things to prove Aeon is alive and well, but will ignore the devs' clear attempts to show Leon flirting with Ashley. Like it's right there. There's dialogue and everything lol (3) I've got a few questions for you, if that's okay. There are still some things about Ada I can't figure out (though I guess that's what makes her interesting), and I'd love to hear your thoughts. 1. Why does Leon let Ada take the sample? Do you think she knew he wouldn't stop her?
Just for clarity's sake -- you said later that this was about Remake, so we're talking about the Amber, not the Sample.
Leon lets Ada take it for two reasons:
He trusts Luis. And if Luis and Ada had an arrangement, then Leon trusts that Ada's not going to sell the Amber to someone who shouldn't have their hands on it.
He knows what happened the last time he got between Ada and her mission objective: she almost fucking died. Would've died if not for something breaking her fall.
I don't know if Ada knew that Leon wouldn't stop her, but I'd be willing to bet that that was the reason why she namedropped Luis in the first place. She saw the "for Luis" scene; she probably banked on Leon trusting Luis more than he distrusted her.
And she was right.
2. In SW, Ada shows concern for Leon, like her voice softening when she talks about him. She's clearly into him sexually, but do you think she'd want something more than just a physical relationship? (cont.) (4) Could this be tied to her self-perception, like maybe she's pursuing Leon to prove something to herself, maybe a sign of insecurity?
Still talking about Remake, just to be clear.
I'mma be real wit u homie: I don't see what you see here. I've played through SW a few times, but I never noticed her voice softening for him in this way. I saw her speaking at a lower volume because she's talking to herself, but that's because... she was talking to herself.
So the answer is no and no. None of Ada's sense of self is wrapped up in Leon. At all. She has some sentimental attachment to him because Ada gets sentimental about people and things (for reference, see: Ada being sincerely hurt when Wesker rejects her in chapter 3, also Ada honoring Luis's memory and dying wishes for the remainder of SW after he dies), but she has no real concern for him otherwise. He's just a Thing that she wants, and Ada goes after what she wants.
3. What future do you see for Aeon? How could their relationship evolve if it's not just about tension or hints of a physical relationship like in the OG timeline? Do you think Ada will have some character growth, especially in RE6? They tried so hard to show Ada had a heart, and Aeon seemed almost like a couple, but that didnt go anywhere... again lol. (cont.)
Still talking about Remake.
In order:
There is no future for Aeon.
Right now, there is no evolution possible for their relationship, because Ada isn't there yet as a character. She needs to be someone that Leon can actually trust, and she isn't. He explicitly pushes her away in 4 for that reason. Her character change in 4 is a good start, but that's all it is. Ada still has a lot of independent growing to do in order for Leon to even tolerate her, and I honestly don't know when they could possibly fit that into the events of the series. They would have to create whole-ass new games that take place in between numbered titles just for the Remake timeline, and I really just don't see them doing that.
I've said this over and over again, but: we need to see what RE5make does. It doesn't sound like Wesker's just going to let her betrayal go this time like he did in OG, and there's a real possibility that RE5make won't kill him off. It is impossible to speculate on RE6make right now, and I wish people would stop asking me to.
Don't forget that RE6 OG ends with Leon rejecting Ada, too. There's no point to building up Leon and Ada's relationship just to have him reject her again. He's already rejected her now in 4. We're past that. Moving on. There's a real opportunity for Capcom to do something completely new with Ada's character now that they've wrapped up the Aeon melodrama early, so let's just... let them.
(5) Do you think Leon being on his own in Infinite Darkness and Death Island, with no Ada references, means CAPCOM is rethinking the ship in the OG timeline? Could CAPCOM's preference for keeping characters single be part of this (if thats even true and not another random news some fans made up)? or maybe they don't know what to do with them?
RE6 ends with Leon rejecting Ada. It's already been rethought. It's over. It's done. It's been decided. The Aeon arc has concluded. The focus of Leon's character going into the end of his story is now his relationship with the government -- which is where it should've been all along.
If they go back on that rejection in RE9, that's bad storytelling. And I actually trust the current writing staff at Capcom to know that and stick to the script. But who knows, they could always make a fool of me in the end.
I also don't know where "Capcom prefers the characters to stay single" even comes from. I've never seen a source, never read a quote, never been linked to an interview. I'm pretty sure it's shit that fans made up because they're salty their ship isn't canon yet lmao
Thanks a ton for your insights. They've really helped me get more out of the games and improve my own analysis. I'll definitely support you on Kofi! 💖
<3333333333 I don't have a functioning Ko-Fi currently, but I appreciate the sentiment all the same.

Baby, I Know Places We Won't Be Found and They'll Be Chasing Their Tails Trying To Track Us Down
Words: 447

Resident Evil Masterlist Main Masterlist 1989 (TV) Event Masterlist Join My Taglist
This one is shit. I know it isn't. But yeah...here it is I guess
Honestly, I pictured something between 5 and 6 Chris here bc I make references to Piers being alive
Context needed: Y/N is Leon's age and was a member of S.T.AR.S. with Chris, hence the references to them knowing how this goes
This is the "I Know Places" and last part of my 1989 event!
Anywho, enjoy
Love Z <3
Chris held his arm around Y/N's waist. It was a normal sight for her to see. Everyone knew that they were close. The term best friends thrown around all of the time. The hidden fact of more being gone since they were in S.T.AR.S. all those years ago. They had been keeping a secret like this for so long.
She had always been surprised that Wesker didn't know back when he was Chris's captain. But she knew that they would have been in so much trouble if he did. If they knew now, the two of them would be risking their jobs.
Her eyes followed one of their co-workers as they passed by. She tapped Chris's arm as she saw the person turn to the person by them and start whispering. She knew what would happen if everyone found out. The panic that they both would have. Panic that went higher than when Piers found out. That they both would be under such scrutiny by their bosses and wouldn't be able to see each other anymore.
Love was such a little fragile thing that could easily burn out.
She smiled at him before tapping his back three times and walking away. She knew he would follow her later. It was their sign to each other. She usually was the one to give it. She knew where they could go to hide. Places where they wouldn't be found by the hunters and foxes that they worked with.
She knew people had their suspicions. Afterall, after Jill died (before they found out she wasn't actually) she had been the only person Chris wanted to be around. But they always claimed it was due to that she was the only person there who knew Jill like he did. Knew what it was like to feel betrayed by Wesker because she had been too. The three of them.
After the events in the mountains had taken a toll on them. She had lost everyone on the Bravo team but Rebecca. They had all been betrayed by Wesker. Lost their jobs. They all felt like they were going insane. Those vultures and dark clouds felt like they were circling over them, just as it did when they found out Jill was alive, as Wesker died.
They had known the risks as he closed the door of the storage closet. They had known that if their lips began to loosen that they would have to jump the ship. But at least for now she knew of places that they could hide where they would never find them out.
That she knew of places where this fragile love wouldn't break.

i like to think that the weskers viewed each other as siblings (because alex does refer to albert wesker as her brother in writing and when speaking to claire like a final, last hurrah before she ‘finishes’ the job).
i headcanon alex liked to write her own poetry and wrote to her brother often. even when he was captain of STARS, she still wrote to him and included small snippets of her poetry for him. even after his apparent ‘death’ (and apparently she was the one who confirmed his ‘death’ after the mansion incident) and her literally on an island she still wrote to him. he was really all she needed considering how much of a personal blow his actual death hurt her.
maybe her whole talk of death being an escape for both was some comfort to her. i don’t know i just think, alright

Why do so many people think Wesker was conditioned/brainwashed into feeling anxious whenever Spencer wasn't around?
Even if we just look at the English and not the imo clearer Japanese version, it says almost the exact opposite of that. Spencer's existence, Spencer's presence, was the source of the concern (note: the Japanese word for "anxiety" used refers to feeling anxious or worried about something, and is NOT the same as the word used for a clinical anxiety disorder. People who do not have anxiety disorders can feel worried about things. It is not stated anywhere in canon that Wesker has an anxiety disorder and neither does he display symptoms of such onscreen) that Wesker felt. Not the *lack* of his presence. He was worried because he knew Spencer was still out there and still hiding secrets from him, he's not a lost puppy with separation anxiety.
Wesker sought out Spencer looking for answers to the unanswered questions (about Umbrella, and Spencer's plans--there is no indication anywhere that Wesker knew Spencer had anything to do with his own childhood and in fact it appears that he was completely taken by surprise at the idea) that had been worrying him. The other kids were similarly manipulated into wanting to seek Spencer out--the details of this are unclear but given that in the Japanese version in particular, words like "concern" but also "interest", "curiosity", etc were present (saying that e.g. "Wesker was only curious about/interested in/concerned with Spencer because he had been made to be so") it suggests that they were also manipulated into seeking out *answers*, not just feeling constantly anxious whenever he isn't around (which they were never shown or stated to feel). Especially since it's also stated that once Wesker HAS those answers, Spencer has no more value to him and no more ability to manipulate him.
(Also a side note about the word "programmed" used in the English translation: I'm not saying it's wrong, but I do think it's put some inaccurate images in some people's heads. People picture someone strapped to an operating table with a device over their head that zaps their brain. That kind of sci-fi brainwashing doesn't work in real life, and hasn't really been shown working quite like that in RE--there's P30, and there's the technology used to make Carla believe she is Ada, but those are both stated to be recent inventions and also are only partly effective and don't work quite like the typical image of the trope. I REALLY don't think the RE universe had that kind of tech in the 60s and I don't like to introduce these sci-fi brainwashing tropes to any universe where they're not shown onscreen to be true, mostly because I think the whole trope should be thrown into the sun. But also because I think more realistic and subtle manipulation to make characters do certain things is more interesting both to write and to read. The phrasing used in the Japanese file could easily be translated as "he was made to do [X]", "he was influenced", manipulated, etc. Now, I don't actually think the English translator was necessarily TRYING to give a sci-fi brainwashing impression, because lots of media uses the word "programmed" to refer to the actions of real-life manipulative groups that of course use mundane methods of manipulation and NOT brain-zapping devices. But since 2009 a lot of media like the Winter Soldier etc has come out that put sci-fi brainwashing more at the forefront of people's minds and now that's the kind of assumption a lot of people have made. It's not actually explicit canon and unless it becomes explicit canon I'll assume it's NOT what went on because it's a trope that I really hate and introducing it to the 1960s would also just completely fuck up the whole timeline of what was invented when in the RE universe. If it IS made explicit canon at some point...idk I'll probably delete all my fics and WIPs and leave the fandom.)

Just thinking about how Claire experienced unimaginable horrors constantly and regularly witnesses the deaths of people she bonded with, but she never gets the time to mourn them, usually because she has to fight for her life and the life of someone else she’s protecting, and how that feeds into her survivor's guilt. Additionally, even when seriously injured, she doesn't even have the time to stop and assess her own wounds before fighting or taking care of somebody else
In Resident Evil 2, at only NINETEEN years old, a college student with no military or cop training or experience goes to a city she knows to look for her brother who’s been MIA for a bit and accidentally gets trapped in a nightmare. She’s forced to find a way out alive, while also protecting and eventually saving a little girl who is completely reliant on her.
And two people’s deaths on that mission, Marvin and Annette, have an impact on her. Marvin is nothing but supportive of her, and he’s doomed from the moment he meets and saves her. She’s unable to do anything to help him, and the entire time it’s like waiting for a clock to count down until Marvin’s dead. When she moves on, she has to leave him behind, and if you go back, he’s a zombie, his fate is sealed. Claire can’t deal with her ally being dead because if she hesitates or feels emotional, she’ll die, so she just has to move on or kill zombie Marvin.
Annette is obviously a worse person than Marvin by a fucking mile, but her death still impacts Claire because despite her reluctance, she still DID help save Sherry, she told her daughter that she loves her even if she’s been a bad mother, and she gets a good-bye with Sherry. Claire, who lost both of her parents in an unknown way, HAD to have felt something at watching a mother say good bye to her daughter before dying in front of her. And Claire doesn’t have time to deal with her feelings because she still needs to get herself and Sherry out of there.
Code Veronica is the most obvious example of Claire losing an ally, but I’m gonna mention Rodrigo first. She doesn’t watch him die, Chris does, but after he helps her escape prison and they have a nice allyship when she gets him what he needs, afterwards she has to leave and has to leave him behind to certain death.
The other person she watches die in front of her is probably the most well known. Steve. Love him or hate him, he meant a lot to Claire. His last words before dying to his injuries were that he loved her and he’s sorry he couldn’t do more. Claire gets a moment to mourn him, but not long enough, as she and Chris are still stuck in the base that they need to escape. And in the moment she’s in intense mourning, she’s given NO comfort, because her brother can’t get into the room with her and offer her even a hug. And we KNOW Claire kept Steve’s memory with her decades later, because in Revelations 2, she references something Steve told her all those years ago.
Infinite Darkness doesn’t have her lose an ally, but you know what’s traumatic? Looking for a person you think is a lead on your case, and finding the scene of a brutal suicide.
In Revelations 2, literally every other innocent person she ran into inside Alex Wesker’s evil torture house dies from fucking fear. And she can’t process any of that or even really show too much emotion regarding that since she’s trying to be strong for Moira. Also, you know, Neil’s betrayal is pretty fucking shitty for Claire, but again she can’t process it, she just has to kill him.
Heavenly Island we return to actual allies dying in front of her. Inez, her fell TerraSave member, someone who is just as headstrong as Claire and someone who is obviously a good friend, gets fucking killed defending her fellow survivors, and she dies in Claire’s arms.
Also like. 90% of the young women on that island are murdered and she’s powerless to stop it. Also I’ll say it, Marilou is assaulted and nearly killed, which Claire also can’t help or offer the girl comfort since they have to either run or kill Julie.
Even Death Island, even though Taylor was a fucking asshole, Claire still failed to save him and he was shot and died right next to her while she was in a jail cell about to be infected herself. When Becky saves everyone, once again no processing time, no time for relief.
I think Degeneration was the exception, but still she had to put Rani’s feelings and safety before her own, something that someone as kindhearted as Claire Redfield wouldn’t hesitate to do, but something that probably still weighs heavily on her psyche.

The S.T.A.R.S. squad as uncles/aunts
Tumblr media
────────────────────────────────────
—Albert Wesker—
Wesker tries to avoid children as much as he possibly can. He just doesn't know what to do with their loud, quirky behaviour. And the fact, that they have to touch everything with their germ covered little raccoon fingers irks him a lot. But on the rare occasions he does babysit, he's surprisingly gentle and knowledgeable. And on the even rarer occasions when he takes his nibling outside, he actually enjoys watching the little one explore the world, even if he has to stay close by at all times to ensure no accidents happen. (The last thing he wants is to have to deal with a crying child, or God forbid, a pissed off Alex) Wesker isn't big on giving nicknames to anyone. So, the only nicknames he has for the child are 'Kid' and 'Troublemaker'. Or 'Walking migraine' if he's super annoyed. But don't let his sister hear that.
—Chris Redfield—
Chris is probably one of the best examples of how an uncle should be. Cool, funny, always up to some mischief and most importantly, he randomly gives the kids money. The amount of money doubles after he has done something he wasn't supposed to do. Like, accidentally teaching his niblings a bad word or flipping off/cussing at a stranger in traffic. He may be a brave soldier, but there's one thing he fears more than anything: His sister's wrath. His favourite activity is having water gun fights with the kids, which he, of course, loses on purpose. He also may or may not have forgotten them in a Walmart parking lot once. Maybe twice. His preferred nicknames are 'Pipsqueak' and 'Little one'.
—Joseph Frost—
When it comes to entertaining his niblings, Joseph is, without a doubt, what you would consider 'a gift from heaven'. He has a creative mind and his magic tricks, which are fascinating even for adults, always puts a smile on the little ones faces and keeps them entertained. Unfortunately, Joey has a habit of feeding the little monsters tons of sugar right before his 'shift' ends. ('Sugar zoomies', as he calls them, are his favourite magic trick. He's officially banned from the candy cupboard btw) He is also the one who gives the most nicknames to the little crotch goblins. But his all time favourites will always be 'Zoomie' and 'Little Houdini.' (Y'know, because of his love for magic and also because of his nibling's habit to randomly disappear)
—Jill Valentine—
Jill loves spending time with her siblings child and is the proud and super cool aunt, who loves showing off the little one to everyone at any given chance. She also teaches them all kinds of useful skills, like lock picking (endless candy hack activated), or, when they're older, self-defence and how to use guns. Her desk is full of pictures of her nibling and if given the chance, she'll talk about them all day. She's just so proud and loves her family dearly. Jill often calls them 'Sweetie'.
—Brad Vickers—
Brad is the constantly worried uncle, who has his entire apartment and even his car babyproofed. Whenever he picks up the little one, he drives ten miles slower, causing other drivers to nearly lose their mind. But once the kid got a little older - and shows even the tiniest bit of interest in computers and video games - Brad immediately takes his chance and teaches the kid everything he knows. (It's hard to find people with the same interests as you) He also takes them at least once per week to an arcade place. And despite his cowardly nature, Brad would literally die for the little dwarf. That's btw one of the nicknames he uses. The others are 'Buddy' and 'Smartypants'.
—Barry Burton—
Barry is the kind of uncle who is actually more like a father rather than an uncle; people often even refer to him as the kid's dad when they first meet them, causing them both to laugh. Barry loves taking his nibling to camping or fishing trips over the weekend. If they're a sports fan, he'll gladly take them to every game of their favourite team, even if it's not his favourite team. He'll also be at all their games/tournaments if they're in a sports club. (World's most supportive uncle right here!) Just like Joseph, Barry has an endless repertoire of nicknames, but if he had to choose only one which he then had to use for the rest of his life, it'd be 'Champ'.
—Enrico Marini—
Despite his rather grumpy appearance, Enrico is actually a very doting uncle, albeit not easy to bribe into fulfilling all his niblings wishes. He knows all the tricks kids use - thanks to his own mischievous sons - and can put his foot down quite easily. Although deep down, it does pain him that he had to deny the kids something. But he knows that it's better to teach them that you can't get anything you want and to accept a “No”, than having them throwing a tantrum when things don't go their way for once. Enrico's preferred nicknames are 'Pebbles' and 'Bubba'.
—Richard Aiken—
Richie is the young and super attentive uncle. He doesn't mind spending a shit ton of money on toys, video games and even the newest consoles for his nibling; his siblings are often afraid that he might spoil the kid a little too much. (He does, but who cares?) But one thing Richard enjoys more than giving them gifts is, when he can spend time with his nibling. He even sets up entire weekends just for the two of them. During that time, he and the kid do basically anything together. Playing videogames at his place, going to a petting zoo, visiting the pizza place or the amusement park, etc. His favourite nicknames for them are: 'Sweets' and 'Pumpkin'.
—Forest Speyer—
Forest is the cool uncle who regularly picks his nibling up from school with his motorbike. Their classmates are so so jealous of them, because their uncle Forest is the coolest person they've ever met. At his place, he lets the kid do basically everything they want. They want ice-cream for breakfast? Say what flavour and he'll get it. The kid wants to pull an all-nighter and watch horror movies with him? Deal. He even teaches them how to drive and allows them to drive his motorbike. He only has one condition: “Don't tell your parents!” He likes being alive, y'know? Forest's most used nicknames for the kid are 'Rascal' and 'Shorty'.
—Rebecca Chambers—
The sweet auntie who tends to baby her nibling a little too much sometimes. Even before the kid was born, Rebecca read dozens of books and asked her more experienced (and mature!) co-workers for advice. Whenever she watches her nibling, she has tons of healthy snacks at the ready and also offers them to go outside on the playground or the park. (Being outside is good for the immune system after all) When they're outside, she always carries a little bag with bandaids, antiseptics and little toys with her. (She uses the toys to reward them for being so brave when she has to treat their booboo) Her nickname for the kid is 'Bee'.
—Edward Dewey—
The scary looking, but genuinely sweet uncle, who never lets the kid out of his sight. And by never, I really mean never. He's super watchful and suspicious of everything and everyone around him; like a watchdog. The only people he allows near his sibling's kid are his own family (obviously) and S.T.A.R.S. (with a few exceptions of course. I'm looking at you, Joseph!) Ed is almost as overprotective as Brad and often needs to be reminded that the kid is not made of porcelain. Aside from their real name, Edward often refers to them as 'Wooby'. That's what the kid called themself when they saw themself in the mirror for the very first time, and it's been the kid's nickname ever since.
—Kenneth J. Sullivan—
Probably the most laid back of the 'Dad!Uncles-trio'. Has a lot of experience thanks to his own kids and knows how to handle the little rascals. And thanks to his passion for gardening, he has a huge backyard with a big swimming pool and lots of trees. He even build a treehouse with his children and niblings and allows them to camp in his backyard whenever they want. Kenny is a very family orientated person and loves spending time with his loved ones more than anything. And although things can get a little chaotic with so many children around, he finds himself enjoying said chaos. His nicknames for his niblings are: 'Flash' and 'Hop'.

If you like Leon S. Kennedy as a Resident Evil character, NEVER watch Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. This is the one RE media that I've watched that I actually, genuinely hate.
They took one of the most iconic characters and turned him into a useless joke:
- His introduction as a character is him asleep at a diner, in full uniform as a cop. This gives the impression that he's lazy or not put together.
- His relationship with the other officers is that they make fun of him and he doesn't do anything about it. He comes off as non-confrontational and the fact that he doesn't seem to have anything to look forward to relationship-wise with his fellow officers makes them dying later not all that sad.
- His backstory is that he shot someone in the ass at his last job and now he's been transferred because his dad is some important higher-up in the force. This, again, makes him into a huge joke and makes him sound completely incompetent.
- After again being made fun of and also called stupid, he goes to do his job at the front desk (shows even less experience) and falls asleep AGAIN. And this time, a truck literally explodes right at the door in front of him and he doesn't. Wake. Up. He only wakes up after the zombified truck driver, who is ON FIRE runs up to him and almost grabs him. WHY???
- They have a scene where Claire and Leon are in the armory and he picks up a shotgun and doesn't even know how to cock it. Claire takes it from him, does it herself, and hands him a bulletproof vest instead. This dude went through police training and can't do a basic task that an untrained person can typically figure out.
- Every time something happens he freaks out and has to be helped by someone else (see: him not shooting a zombie and Claire having to do it for him).
- He says that he doesn't know why he became a cop. In the game, he says that he became a cop because he wanted to help people. How am I supposed to like him as a character when he shows no motivation for anything? He's just kinda there
- The ONLY useful thing he does is grab a rocket launcher and kill a mutated William Birkin at the very end of the movie.
This isn't even getting into all the other things about the movie that sucks. Why did they decide to write it so that RE1 and 2 take place at the same time when RE2 and 3 already do? Why is Chief Irons the most lame character ever and not even remotely evil? Why did they have to write that Chris has a crush on Jill and Jill has a crush on Wesker?
The only good things I can say about this movie is that it was actually pretty cool that the RPD actually looked like it does in the game and they had the four keys from it as well as quite a few other references like that. Also their explanation for why the STARS members and Leon (all in the police force) aren't infected is actually kinda neat. If only they'd put more effort into writing a good script.
OH YEAH ALSO!!! They're planning to make a sequel and I think that's hilarious because what game could they possibly adapt in that case? They can't do the third one because they already showed what Jill was doing during the Raccoon City Incident in that movie and there's no way I can imagine the Leon from that universe ever going through what he does in Resident Evil 4. I guess they could do CODE: Veronica or something but I'm sure it'd be a dumpster fire no matter which game they try to adapt next.

The Mastermind [Part 12]
Warning: Smut, NSFW, 18+
Summary: The first day of training with The Mastermind.
Word Count: 3750
Celeste looks at Kate, confused. She has to take another look at the screen to make sure her name is actually up there. Since when do they have five Survivors per Trial?  She say anything to Kate, as she starts walking towards the Main. Everybody's eyes are on her. That stupid silk dress she had hoped to get out of as soon as possible is making things so much worse. She only now realizes that her thong is still somewhere in Carlos's room.
When she arrives at the long corridor, she starts looking for her name, but after wandering around for five minutes she finally reaches a part of the building she has never been to. It's a heavy door that separates the building between Killers from Survivors. Celeste spots her name on a nearby door and wonders if this is where Wesker will meet her, maybe she's even meeting him on the Killer side? She looks down at her dress and straightens it out once more.
Celeste walks through the door and a cold disappointment washes over her, there is no Wesker. The room is nothing like any of the one's she's seen before. The room is huge and instead of the usual single simulator, there are five facing each other in a circle. To her surprise there is just one nurse, who eyes Celeste's outfit, but doesn't say anything, a slight twitch in the corner of her lips says all there is to say. Celeste wishes she could just disappear into the ground. The nurse points at a simulator for Celeste to sit down. It's exactly the same as the one Celeste's used to, she gets wired up and the nurse takes down notes on her clipboard. Celeste tries to arrange the dress so that the long slit isn't revealing more than her leg.
''He will be here shortly,'' the nurse informs Celeste. But just as she's about to ask who the nurse is referring to, a door that she hadn't noticed before opens and Wesker walks in. Celeste sits up, staring at him, the room suddenly feels so much smaller. The nurse raises her eyebrow at the monitor and adds some more notes to the clipboard. Wesker isn't wearing his usual leather coat, this time he's wearing a more military looking outfit, with a blue button up shirt, the sleeves are rolled up revealing his arms and fingerless black gloves. His hair is perfectly slicked back, not a strand out of place.
''I see you like that dress, kitten,'' Wesker lowers his glasses and looks at her in such a way that Celeste feels like she's been put on display, but his eyes fascinate her. She was convinced that out of simulation he would look more human, more vulnerable even, but the fire in his eyes burn her even from across the room. She can feel her skin radiate with heat, the bright light in the room makes her feel like every imperfection of her body has been highlighted. She tries to say something, but decides it's better to be in an awkward silence than say something that she won't outlive no matter how many times she dies.
Wesker inserts some tokens in his simulator. Celeste came unprepared, the tokens she would usually use for Perks have stayed the same for quite a few weeks. She wonders who else will join them. Wesker talks to the nurse quietly and she replies with Yes, sir  to his instructions as she takes down some notes. While Wesker is busy talking to the nurse, Celeste watches Wesker cautiously, like one would watch a sleeping tiger. He's towering over the nurse, his voice is low and serious, she can't quite catch what they're talking about, but the few words they exchange are taken seriously by the nurse. His presence exudes authority even from across the room.
Once he's done talking with the nurse he looks over at Celeste and sits down, allowing the nurse to attach him to the simulator. He doesn't take his eyes off Celeste the whole time and she finds herself incapable of looking away. Celeste feels her heartrate rise and when the nurse shoots a quizzical look at the monitor a dangerous grin appears on Wesker's face. The tiger has awoken.
''Are you ready to learn some new tricks, kitten?''
********************************************************
Celeste hears a loud siren as her eyes adjust to the gloom. Midwich. She hates the place, it always gives her the creeps, many mangled corpses and surfaces covered in all kinds of organic material adds to the creepiness of the situation. She hopes that there is a generator in the courtyard, at least the grass that grows there in patches still feels like grass. Thankfully, she isn't too far from the courtyard and carefully looking out for any signs of Wesker or anybody else she heads towards the huge double door that is just down the hallway.
Just as she reaches the courtyard she notices a gen on the far end, but with the feeling of relief comes another feeling. The tightness in her chest warns of Wesker approaching. There are a bunch of hedges in front of her and she softly leaps over a shorter one, giving her a cover while she tries to make out the direction he is coming from. She hears his steps. Her heart is beating so hard in her chest she wonders if he can hear it too. Midwich is a saving grace, there are many noises coming from every corner of the building.
She slowly stands up and leans against a long hedge, some sticks poking her back, but she doesn't care, once Wesker is gone she will start working on the gen she noticed while looking around for him.
''There's no point in hiding, kitten, I know you're there,''  Wesker's voice directly from behind the hedge she's leaning against reaches her ears. ''You better come out, or this training session will be over before it began.'' Celeste feels stupid, he had already told her that he will teach her to escape chases. She comes out of her hiding spot with a grim expression on her face. Wesker watches her appear from the shadows and steps back, scrutinizing her with a stern expression on his face.
''From this moment, there is no more hiding, understand?'' Celeste nods her head  in obedience and looks down, Wesker snickers and tilts her head. Her heart is beating so hard she's surprised it's still in her chest.  Her instincts are telling her to run, but her legs are numb.
''I need to see what I'm working with,'' Wesker circles her slowly, examining her. Celeste doesn't dare to move until he motions to her to follow and heads towards the double door. ''You need to learn to outsmart your opponents. Each killer is different, of course, but the basics will work on everybody.''
They walk through the hallway and head for the stairs, the noises coming from some of the rooms cause a cold chill run down Celeste's spine, even though she has heard those noises before, the constant tightness in her chest because of Wesker's presence makes them so much more disturbing. At the top of the stairs Wesker stops and turns to Celeste, removing his glasses. The gloom that surrounds the two of them cause his eyes to stand out and it seems like he can see right through her.
''You haven't had a chance to go up against me too many times, but what can you tell about me?''
Celeste can't resist an impulse to look at the man standing in front of her. She notices things she hadn't seen before.  He is perfectly clean shaven. There are no imperfections on his skin. The shirt is hugging him perfectly. She is wondering what he feels like under that shirt. Wesker clears his throat.
''Umm.. Well, you can make long distances quickly and it's hard to know where you will be coming from,'' more of a question than an answer comes from her mouth, she feels like her voice gets lost in the noises of the building.
''And how do you escape me?'' Celeste raises an eyebrow and lets out a nervous laugh. You don't  she thinks to herself. Wesker knows what she's thinking and shakes his head at her. ''You flatter me, but you must have some ideas.''
Celeste thinks for a moment. ''I guess by taking as many turns as possible, because your...,'' Celeste looks at Wesker's arm, her eyes fixating on the scar, ''...power allows you to make long distances in a short time.'' Wesker raises his eyebrow and grins.
''Very good, kitten,'' Celeste feels her cheeks heat up and feels embarrassed at how good that praise made her feel.
''Run, kitten,'' Wesker says it so softly that Celeste would have missed it but for the fluid motion of him raising his left hand and looking at it. Celeste notices the tentacle making itself known and she runs.
She seems to have forgotten what she just said and just runs in a straight line down the hallway. Before long she can feel Wesker on her heels, a cold chill runs down her spine.
''Don't lose focus, kitten,'' Wesker's voice from somewhere behind her warns her and she turns into a room to her left just as Wesker appears where she would have been a second ago. She makes her way around some tables and bookshelves and finds herself at a dead end. He watches her as he slowly walks towards her.
''What now?''  Wesker isn't even slightly out of breath. Celeste notices a pallet and makes her way towards it. She disappears behind a bookshelf and changes her mind last minute, quickly making her way back around and surprises herself by making the right decision. Wesker is already on the side she was on, looking for her. She makes it through the door and to the other room when Wesker catches up with her once more.
''Very good, kitten,'' she manages to avoid his attack once more, but the next charge he does is successful and Celeste is slammed against a wall. Wesker steps towards her and before she can run off Wesker places his hand on the wall next to her face, trapping her. Her breathing is shallow and quick, adrenaline has kicked in again. She attempts to break out from the trap, but his voice stops her. ''Wait, don't run off yet.''
''You got it in you,'' Wesker's face is close to hers. She can't help herself but look at him closely once more, wondering what her new habit is going to cost her. Nothing is out of place, his jawline is strong and his lips as always are curled in a grin, like nothing could ever go wrong.  Her eyes find his and she realizes just how infernal he looks.
     ''Why are you training me?''
''Because I can see how lost you are. You are ready to be molded. Just like a kitten you follow the first string that catches your eye,'' he imitates a string being pulled right in front of her eyes, causing her to follow his hand. ''But... just like a kitten learns from its environment, you will learn from yours. You can make a choice to learn from an apex predator. Forget about those... pussies out there. The choice is yours .''
''Before I start making deals with the Devil, I need to know at what cost,'' Celeste has calmed her breathing a little, but the way that he looks at her when she calls him the Devil catches her breath once more.
''The Devil, huh?'' Wesker finds the notion entertaining. ''Devils make deals with me, kitten. You are looking at a god.'' Wesker's eyes seem to burn more intensely as he says that, Celeste can tell that he believes every word he says.
''I'm going to let you down,''  She can barely make a couple of turns before being caught, what's the point of even trying? Wesker tuts and shakes his head at her.
''Oh, kitten, how little faith you put into my teaching,'' he seems to have moved even closer to Celeste, she can feel his leg between her knees that she's sure wasn't there before. Celeste has to look up to be able to meet his eyes. ''It's so easy to get results, one only needs to know where to apply the pressure.'' Wesker pushes his leg against the wall, between her legs, pinning Celeste to the wall. She holds her breath, but Wesker's eyes move to her lips, without a doubt noticing Celeste biting her cheek.
''Who was it that denied you praise and affection? Was it your mother? Was it... daddy?'' He is reading her like an open book. Celeste has never been able to hide her hurt when it came to how she feels about herself, but there is no better time than the present to learn to toughen up and it seems like Wesker is going to teach her just that.
''I will reward you, kitten,'' Wesker talks quietly, but clearly, a sense of danger and sweetness entangled in his words ''Whatever you want. Words of praise, Bloodpoints, I can even bend you over that desk and fuck you until you scream for your God while being worshipped by an actual god in flesh,'' he pauses to watch her reaction. ''But you will have to work for it.''
Celeste's eyes find the desk in question and, even though it is covered in all kinds of organic mess, deep down she knows that she wouldn't say no, and her breathing proves that to Wesker. She searches his eyes for ridicule, but she finds none. He means every word he says. Wesker pushes his leg up against her, causing her to take in a deep breath, which causes Wesker to grin in a way she hasn't seen him grin before.
She finds herself in a peculiar position. Her back is pressed up against a stone wall that is covered in something she doesn't quite want to know about and a man who is almost as rock solid as the wall. She finds herself leaning into him. The wall is not pleasant and anybody would try to get away from it, but she can't deny that her curiosity is getting the best of her. Wesker steps back from Celeste, his hand still placed on the wall, next to her, keeping her in place.
''You're an open book, kitten,'' he takes Celeste's hand and places it on his abdomen. ''If you're curious, just ask.''
Celeste wonders if she should pretend that she doesn't know what he's talking about, but her fingertips have already betrayed her. She's not surprised to discover a solid body under the shirt, what she is surprised about is the heat radiating from his skin. He doesn't feel... human, she can't resist the magnetism of his body. Celeste feels cautious of getting carried away, but her curiosity to find out more gets the best of her. She almost forgets that the body she is touching isn't a statue so, when Wesker's hand stops hers from moving further, her eyes snap back to his. She feels like she's under an X-ray, not a thought safe in her head.
''That's quite enough for now, kitten,'' Wesker takes a step back from her, leaving Celeste cavernous for his presence.
''I, myself, am not opposed to a night of nonstop, raw, sinful sex; I am after all bound to this... body. It has its flaws''  Wesker looks like he's trying to think of what part of his body actually has a flaw.   ''But there is something that feels so much better than the best orgasm that you think you've had, kitten.''
     ''Power.''
Wesker raises his arm and Celeste watches a tentacle appear from somewhere under his skin. She watches it take over his whole lower arm and realizes that it's not only one tentacle, it's many of them tangled together. Before she can comprehend what is happening Wesker releases it and her body gets pulled towards him with such force she doesn't have any control of herself.  The tentacles feel like skin, warm and alive, they're snaking up her thighs,  stomach and back. She's amazed at how much power there is in them. The grip on her is tight, but not unpleasant.
Adrenaline is making Celeste's blood rush through her veins, but she feels... excited, intrigued. She was never hungry for power, but that's because she never felt like she deserved it. Being able to take control of what she does in Trials would certainly make her more confident. She is also having a hard time resisting Wesker and she very much knows that it's not only because she's at his mercy.
''I can give you that power, but you have to trust me.'' Celeste is suddenly thrown back into the wall, she screams out in pain, but before she can really react to the pain she's pinned against the wall. Her arms are bound just above her head, her head is pinned to the wall with another tentacle by her throat, Wesker's breath is hot on her cheek. She can taste blood in her mouth from the force she was thrown against the wall.
''You have to start enjoying the pain. Adrenaline has to be your addiction,'' the tentacle tightens around her throat, making it impossible to breathe. She looks at Wesker with questioning, desperate eyes, trying to move her hands, but she's not capable of moving. She feels panic building up, her body trying to fight for air.
''Breathe,'' Wesker runs his hand down her cheek. Celeste isn't able to breathe, tears appear in her eyes, she has not felt this close to death while in simulation. Even Mori's have taken a shorter time to kill her. Wesker forces her to look at him, his expression is serious, but he doesn't release her. She feels like she's about to lose her consciousness.
''You can breathe, Celeste. Do it.''
The authority in his voice does something to her, it allows her to feel every inch of her body. It makes her realize that she is the only reason she can't breathe is her hysteria. His grip is tight on her, but only  panic is just a reaction to having her throat constricted. A tear runs down her cheek and she finally forces herself to slow down her breathing. It takes a while before she is able to breathe steadily. Wesker runs a thumb over her lip, gathering some blood. He examines the blood on his thumb curiously, he seems lost in thought for a short moment.
''I will teach you how to control your mind, how to override those instincts that your genetics have ruined you with.'' Celeste feels the tentacles leave her throat and disappear from her sight, she doesn't move from her spot, her breathing is still calculated. Her throat is throbbing from the pain. ''The world is yours, kitten, and you have to claim what's yours.''
With those words Wesker leans down and kisses her. Like so many kisses in the history, this kiss is significant. It comes unexpectedly. Celeste hadn't imagined that anything but pain could come from this man. This kiss is not one Celeste had ever experienced. Carlos had kissed her with passion and need, but Wesker... he doesn't need her. The moment his lips touch hers she gives in immediately, she parts her lips to to receive the gift she feels undeserving for. The kiss is filled with sin and promise of great things. She knows that with that kiss she has betrayed whatever she had with Carlos. There is no going back.
Wesker breaks their kiss, taking away any memory Celeste had of Carlos. Her lips are now Wesker's even if this was the last kiss they share. She is breathless and her mind is filled with thoughts she knows are dangerous.
''It's all so real, isn't it, kitten?'' Celeste is taking deep, long breaths, adrenaline has been replaced by another feeling, she doesn't feel the same panic she felt before. Celeste watches fire burn in his eyes, mesmerized by the promise of power, finally seeing Wesker for what he really is - salvation.
Celeste looks around the room and even though everything looks the same, it doesn't feel the same. He watches her curiously and steps back, giving her space to see the world through different perspective. She notices a Hook that she knows she has died on at least twice, but it doesn't look as intimidating as it had before. It is all real, but none of it can actually harm her.
Walking through each room, running her hands over the walls and surfaces, Celeste focuses on every sensation, Wesker's presence still makes her heart beat hard, but she feels invincible, her environment doesn't terrify her anymore. She almost feels stupid that she hadn't come to the conclusion herself. The simulation forces Survivors to feel like they're in danger at all times, but Wesker has somehow turned that constant feeling of constant peril around and Celeste feels thrilled.
     ****************************************************
When she wakes up she finds herself alone with the nurse. To Celeste's disappointment the simulator that Wesker was in sits empty. Celeste finishes her dose of Sunshine and since the nurse doesn't say anything she leaves the room. She finds her way out of the building. The sun is already up.
Wesker had spent hours teaching her to assess the situation as it comes and use her environment to benefit her. The realization that the pain is just that - pain, made it so much easier for her to override the instinct to hide and stay low. Wesker taught her to use the adrenaline to work for her, not against her. She still has doubts that the only reason she did well was because Wesker instilled her with false confidence, but the praise she got each time she avoided his charges was what kept her going.
She is ready to take a long, hot shower and get some rest before facing Carlos, who she is surprised to not have seen at the gate, waiting for her. She has to focus on the Trials from now on, she can't be distracted by Carlos. She keeps telling herself that, but a deeply hidden thought at the back of her mind is filling her with longing for another kiss from The Mastermind.

Hi hi!
So I've been getting some like Resident Evil brainrot from your AU and firstly its great and I love all the character placements so much!
And I was wondering if you had any ideas of what Sonja and Capsize do in the mansion plot point wise since I believe there isn't much canon wise to say what Jill and Chris actually each do.
Also I'm like curious if you had certain scenes you have in mind or if its just the characters so far.
(no pressure to answer, just enjoying thoughts)
I’m glad you enjoyed the au!
I’ve just finished replaying the game (Jill’s route) so I could refresh myself on the mansion layout and boss fights.
This is where things get tricky because canonically to the RE lore everyone survived the night (Barry, Jill, Chris, Rebecca, & Wesker) but we don’t see everyone from either perspective, Barry missing in Chris’s and his fate left unknown, while Chris is missing in Jill’s and Rebecca is nonexistent. But it’s canon that they were all there.
So in the au I think it’d make sense if Capsize & Alyssa never run into Sonja, but they’d also have to get captured by Mianite semi early on.
Boss fight wise I think it’d make sense like this:
Capsize fights: Crimson Head, Mother Neptune, Plant 42
Sonja fights: Lisa Trevor, Black Tiger, Tyrant
For specific scenes, Capsize and Alyssa beat Sonja and Spark to the Residence area of the map and just complete it, Capsize who has had an awful feeling about all of this begins to question Mianite who just so happened to run into them there. Getting frustrated that things aren’t going his way he reveals himself and begins threatening her. At gunpoint, Capsize laughs at him. Mianite goes to shoot Alyssa, but Capsize takes the (non-fatal) hit instead. From there, they are lead to a cell where both of them will stay captive til Sonja releases them at the end. (in the original re1 in Chris’s route when he confronts Wekser, he just starts fucking laughing at him, I think that’d be in character for Capsize to do)
Another scene I’ve been thinking about would be one after the Lisa Trevor fight. Sonja being more demanding to Spark on getting some answers she’s sure he has, while Spark is very much trying to talk around the issues and there being more tension from that point forward on their teamwork.
Other than that, figuring out who opens what doors and how the hell puzzle solving is going to work out is gonna be a tough one.
Also! Regarding your tags, I wanted to respond to them but I got sidetracked…playing re1 😅.
The piano thing is just a reference to Chris needing Rebecca to play it for a puzzle, while Jill just knows how to do it. And yea there is definitely a learning curve when it comes to the controls for the game, but for me after I got used to them I found them enjoyable. Like I really like the different camera angles and how it made the game more tense, but I can definitely understand how irritating they can be. Sherry is supposed to be Ianita (knew I was forgetting to mention somebody). I’ve also been going back and forth on Martha being Anita birken (although Steve would definitely not be William Birken, maybe Gaines? but more a fellow umbrella scientist and not husband to Martha).
If you love cheesy lines, highly suggest to watch a video that goes through the original re1 dialogue. It’s hilarious. Give one a watch if you’ve got the time. ( https://youtu.be/pVyOCssIXgQ —> 10 minute video of og re1 dialogue)
Thank you for the ask! If you’ve got suggestions for the au I’d love to hear em!

Chapter Nineteen [No.031]: White Lie
Tumblr media
Pairing: Albert Wesker x Cannibal GN!Reader
Summary: You go to find Steve and Claire but happen to find someone else entirely. Someone you’ve been waiting to go up against, again.

Author’s Notes: Before anyone goes “um, actually - Hunk wouldn’t die like that” - shut up! The entire fight was determined by dice rolls because I DnD’d this shit and he had shitty rolls almost the entire time! So his ass gets got, fair and square!

You and Wesker split up in your search for Claire and the boy that had been following along with her. You searched throughout the halls, a head piece in your ear, listening to Wesker’s instructions on where to go throughout the facility to avoid most of the incredulous obstacles. You didn’t have time to deal with them, nor did you care to.
Your mind was set on getting this mission completed.
“Well, that’s intriguing.” Wesker said
You furrowed your brows, concerned about what he was referring to.
“What is it?” You asked
“It seems Ms. Ashford has beaten us to our plan.” He replied
“Are you serious?!”
“Very.” He said, “But we can work with this, trust me. We have time.”
Just as he spoke, the alarms overhead began to blare loudly throughout the hall, throughout the entire facility. You stumbled, squinting as the red lights hit your eyes, pressing your hands over your ears to drown out the sound, but you could still hear it loud and clear on Wesker end.
“You were saying?!” You yelled, “What the hell is going on?!”
“Seems like Chris turned on the self-destruct sequence to get to Claire and her little friend. Go retrieve his body and head back to the submarine, I’ll meet you on my way down.” Wesker instructed
You continued to press pass the loud noise, barreling through the hall and past the doors into another long stretch of hallway. You could see the doors were all open along the sides, see the T-infected pouring out of the rooms, all except for the one on the other end. You dodged the T-infected and made it straight for that one. Inside you found the body of the boy resting against the concrete wall. His skin was discolored, that same scaly chitin peppering different areas of his skin. You walked up to him, checking to make sure he no longer had a pulse before picking up his lifeless body and tossing it over your shoulder.
You looked outside the door, down the hallway you came from. There was no sight of Wesker coming from that end. You sighed, knowing what you needed to do. You had to get out of this area, head towards the submarine. He said he’d meet you on the way down here, he could handle himself, it would all turn out okay.
Right?
No, no, you couldn’t think like that, not now, you had to stay focused. Wesker was different now, this would be the same as Spencer’s mansion, it couldn’t be the fucking same.
You took off running down the hall in front of you, quickly turning the corner and passing through another set of doors. This continued on for a moment and you stopped, feeling lost, as if you were going in circles.
This place was just as bad as the fucking NEST.
“Does any of this shit ever end?!” You yelled out into the open
That’s when you felt the wind run past you, the sensation of a bullet slicing across your cheek. You dodge to the opposite side of it, turning on your heels to see who had just had the audacity to shoot at you.
You were stocked for a moment, your jaw set in anger, feeling the rage building at the sight of who it was.
A pair of red lenses.
The fucking Grim Reaper was here.
“I don’t know, you tell me.” He replied
He cocked the gun again and stalked forward towards you, taking another shot. You dodge out of the way of it, dropping the dead guy's body to the floor as you did so. You bounced between the walls of the hall, zigzagging until you got enough momentum to use the wall itself to launch yourself at the Grim Reaper with a loud screech. He attempted to make more shots at you but you knocked the gun out of his hands with your weight, punching him in the mask as you both fell backwards, colliding with the concrete floor below.
“You fucking bastard!” You hissed, attempting to get another hit in.
But his hands were struggling with yours, his forearms moving in each direction to protect his mask. That’s when you took to slamming your fists into him over and over and over again with a speed much faster than he was anticipating, more and more rage put into each hit. You were finally able to break past his arms and hit his mask, busting it open. The Grim Reaper used this to his advantage and slammed his head into you, knocking you backwards off of him.
The Grim Reaper scrambled to his feet to try and get the upper hand on you, but you were too fast for him to do so. The two of you struggled in the fight as you tried to pry his mask off of him. You took an opportunity to punch him in the shoulder, taking him by surprise, receiving a scream of pain from him. You honestly hoped it had broken something in his shoulder, maybe even dislocated it - it didn’t matter, he was hurt and that was all that mattered. You pulled off his mask, finally looking the man straight in the face for the first time ever.
You chuckled, seeing how human he looked, the mix of rage and fight in his eyes, unwilling to admit defeat. He looked just like the rest of those Umbrella fucks, cookie cutter underneath the black uniform. You finally understood why he always wore the mask.
His eyes always gave him away.
“Has this been a fair enough fight for you?” He asked
You chuckled, remembering exactly what you told him months ago in Raccoon City.
“I guess so.”
You moved fast again, wrapping your hands around his head. You could feel his own wrapping around your wrists in an attempt to stop you from what you were about to do.
“I fucking told you -”
You picked up his head off of the wall and slammed it back against the hard surface.
“If anything is going to kill you -”
Another slam. His hands and arms begin to go slack.
“IT’S GOING TO BE ME!”
Another. This time you let him go, watching him fall down, his blood and brains trailing down the wall. You huffed out a sigh, feeling a weight lift off of your shoulders as you looked down at him.
Another Umbrella bastard was dead, along with the rest of their god forsaken security and military. You made your way back down the hall and picked up the lifeless body of the boy you’d dropped, tossing him back over your shoulder again. You looked back down the hallway, hoping to see Wesker coming around the corner.
He did not.
You let out a sigh, feeling your heart twist in a ball in your chest.
“Wesker please, hurry.”

A request from a friend :D!
It started off so nice. How did it go so wrong? When you first got to the RPD, they welcomed you with open arms. Picked out to be on their special forces Alpha team. A rookie, but still experienced. You weren’t expecting much, maybe a friend or two. But when Irons had said something creepy to you, it was your captain who shut him down. And shut him down bad. You were glad that you didn’t have to risk your job on the first week, and you made it known that you appreciated him stepping in.
From that day onward, Captain Wesker was always around you. Looking out for you and even threatening others if they made unwanted advances towards you. The rest of the team fell into place as well, making the same decision to make sure you felt safe.
Perhaps it was a ploy to gain your trust, or maybe it was just because he didn’t like Irons and wasn’t all bad. It was still hard to believe.
He showed you fighting moves he never showed anyone else, how to handle a gun in one hand if you’re ever in a pinch. He had been nothing but kind to you while he was rather rough and cold with the others. You were close with the other members of the team, but they all referred to as “his rookie”. He never corrected them and you were never around to hear the nickname.
It was hard to believe even as you and Chris saw the evidence for yourselves. He tried his best to comfort you when he realized you were upset. But it was something you’d have to come to terms with.
“Ah, so you’ve made it. Unsurprising since you are on my team.” Did he always sound so condescending?
“Wow. Thanks.” Chris retorted to him, just as Wesker whipped a gun towards you guys.
“How long has Umbrella been slipping you a paycheck?”
“I think you’ve misunderstood. I’ve always been with Umbrella.” Always? The gun waved in your direction, Chris standing more in front of you.
“Shame, really. Little rookie had such promise. If only you were allowed to stay home.” What? Was he training you for something?
He looked back to his creation in a tube.
“Isn’t it beautiful?” He asked, a rhetorical question.
“Are you stupid?” You finally spoke up, anger flooding your eyes as Chris laughed at him. Wesker seemed taken aback at your sudden statement.
“Me? Stupid? You’re the one who fell for my words.” He retorted, a sneer on his face.
“There’s a difference between manipulating and actually being nice.” You replied, voice calm and harsh, “What you did wasn’t being manipulating. I can tell you that much.”
“You can’t possibly-“
“Oh but I can.” You interrupted his little speech, the fluid draining from the tank slowly, “If you were really manipulating me, you could have just blackmailed me. Instead you befriended me.”
Wesker was silent. He didn’t say anything more as he turned to his creation coming to life in the tank.
“It’s perfect.” He said.
It was not.
It killed him. His own creation killed him. Right through the chest. You saw it coming, it is his own hubris after all. But now you and Chris had to deal with the fall out and clean up the mess.
Goodbye Captain. You were my friend even if you deny it.
~~~
It was a while until he awoke again, the pain gone, only hatred remained. Hatred for himself, hatred for Chris, hatred for humans. But it pained him to say he hated you. No matter what he said or did, nothing could erase that you were his little rookie.
