Glacier Bay Beanie designed by Nancy Bates. I made these for friends who are going on an Alaskan cruise in May, out of a book called KNITTING THE NATIONAL PARKS, which has a lot of cool things in it! You can also find the standalone pattern here, if you’re interested. I used Woolstok Worsted from Blue Sky Fibers (in Spring Ice, Highland Fleece, and Cast Iron). It was my first time doing stranded colorwork, and my first time doing duplicate stitch, and I’m super pleased with how they turned out!!

I wish I liked eggs and weren't allergic to em bc they're so versatile and you can make really simple meals with them which would be very beneficial for my flare up days especially
I've tried several times before my allergy tests and every time I'd have to hype myself up to try it and then take the TINIEST bite and spit it in the trash immediately
Then with several allergy tests over the years it was proven time and time again I'm allergic so even if I wanted to eat them I cant :(

we did a short 5km hike this past weekend after i hiked all 15km of the calanques the day prior (without nova obv). once he’s more in shape & it cools down we’ll go down to the water!
#dogblr#sheltie#nova#2022#he’s still adjusting to the heat#i’ve been walking him right before dusk so it’s cool enough and i don’t fear of getting mugged but#idk#idk if it’s him just maturing and picking and choosing what he likes to do best and prioritizing that energy for that#and being very obvious with what he doesn’t like#or if it’s moving to a city where we see lots more of cars and traffic and bikes and noisenoisenoise and constant input that’s making him#more reserved and stand off ish#or if it’s both#even in the US he started showing disinterest in walks and hikes#he perks up when i offer to do parkour#and i do mean PERK like his behavior completely cha he’s#he goes from this old looking dog who takes 5 min to sniff a spot to bouncy and barks and excited in .5secs when i say ‘i ready?’ and point#to a bench or rock for him to jump on#i also think he just doesn’t know how to pace himself#he either canters or walks or trots just for .5secs then walks or canters bc he’s falling behind and whatnot#Koa trots TOO fast and i have to ask her to slow down all the time but Nova? it’s a combo of all sorts of speeds#so instead of having a consistent trot he’s constantly switching and using up more energy#anyways on top of that i wonder if it’s also his endurance that’s lacking#but tbh it may just be a combo of everything#i try to make walks more exciting and enjoyable#we’ve been going to a park to do off leash parkour and training stuff and he LOVES it#he also gets to say hi to people and dogs and socialize a little#which i think he enjoys a lot bc he does love people and attention#which takes us about an hour total and YES i will still walk him bc playing in the yard is never enough for him#he always ends up staring at me for 30min with a bark or two in my ear until i’m too annoyed to ignore him#but anyways all that to say there’s Lots going on and Nova is still adjusting and I am still adjusting and we’re trying our very Best

Manically cleaning my apartment at 11pm. I hate now that I'm an adult it's cleaning my apartment and not just my room. I wish I was young and only had to manically clean my room. Then again, it's nice to have a whole apartment to myself, even if it means I have to manically clean all of it.
#ive already cleared up a lot and i feel like i can breathe better#yknow when your space was cluttered for awhile#and then you clean it and get stuff out of the way and you have more space and it feels like you can breathe better?#yeah. i got all of my clean clothes put away and dirty clothes into bins (there was a lot of clothes) and suddenly i can breathe more#i can see my whole rug#i can open my dresser drawers fully without stuff gettinf in the way#i feel so much better already#next mission is to clear off my dining table#its so cluttered. everything without a home goes onto my table which is a problem because i can no longer see my table#i have a very small apartment and a lot of shit to fit inside of it. its difficult to tidy but im getting there#im doing my best to get there#the problem is i have so much cool stuff... i have music boxes and mugs and shit and i could never get rid of them#i want them on display. but i don't have enough space to display all the cool shit i have :(#im realizing that there are a couple boxes i didnt even open after i moved. i moved in February. ots September#im a little bit of a disaster#when i die my estate sale is going to be lit. full of cool and haunted shit. i would love to go to my estate sale after i die#most of my stuff is from estate sales tho whoch makes sense. all of my furniture except my bed and dresser#music boxes. some mugs. tealight houses. a trunk. a typewriter. a carousel thing (very haunted) a quilt. some art stuff#okay gonna go tey ro ride this mania while it lasts#wish me luck#wish is such a good word...

truly coffee is not a drink to me it is a medicine. it has always been a medicine. a drink is a fruit juice, or lemonade, or chocolate milk, or my beloved cold water. i drink coffee black cuz doing anything to it means it's longer before i can drink it. if i ever get adhd medication i might quit drinking coffee entirely
#yelling at clouds#don't get me wrong coffee CAN be good#however it has never been about the taste#and also. drinks shldnt be hot.#ideally nothing i put in my mouth shld be hot. i like when things are warm at most#i make a pot of coffee n then wait a minimum of half an hour before i drink it#when i had to make n drink coffee in under that time before work n such#i wld fill the kitchen sink with a couple inches of very cold water n then sit the mug in it to cool it quicker#truly i wld just drink energy drinks if not for the sugar
