OOO great q! No, Nova isn't a ninja turtle. He's not technically biologically related to the Hamato bros nor has he had any formal ninja training. Closest they can get is street brawling and parkour.

But! He does have a mask for a very important reason:

Nova thought they were super cool and the little clinking noise they make when they tap against each other itches the brain just right
