i have been having this issue for like 4 years maybe, possibly even more! where i have gone to this one place near me (and at times before i moved - not near me) to develop photos bc it's very accessible, not too expensive, really friendly owner who's had that shop for like 30 years, and unlike where i grew up it is just like, harder to find another lab in walking distance, because it is a bigger city - where, every time i have gone, the photos have been tinted purple.
and like the first time that happened (a long while ago) i was like 'hmmmmmm ok, maybe i will not go back there', but then i moved across the road from there and i thought, maybe that was a one off! so i have developed a few more rolls there and um, still sort of purple. but maybe the issue is the film! the film i used Back In The Day is now much more inaccessible than it used to be so i have been using whatever film whatever shop is stocking.
all of my googling was telling me it was a film issue.
i developed two rolls recently at that place and one was taken two years ago, and was purple. which was annoying. i'm still wondering if it's a film issue. but the second roll was that black and white disposable camera that had a bunch of knocks and light leaks (definitely my bad, that thing got knocked around a lot in my bag), and many of the pictures, around the edges, were purple. not a fucking film issue. that shop is a purple menace >:(
anyway this is all to say that i went to this lab on the other side of town across the river that i'd been following on instagram for like 2 years and liked their results to get three rolls of film developed, knowing that the film was the same brand i'd been shooting and bought from the purple shop so it had in my mind a worrisome purple potential, and i just got some low-res scans back (incl those casper pics) and: not purple. the only things that are purple are the things that are meant to be purple.

#i am.....slightly mad. and in the two included purple pictures it isn't even the worst example lol#like those two came out kind of nice and i like them#but like; when every single pictures across multiple film rolls all have that purple tint it is....crazy making to me#like one of the films i got developed today kind of turned out a bit wack bc i was shooting 200 on a very cloudy day#but at least i know that that was an issue that i created and i just wanted to see how it looked and if it was workable#it was not an issue on the lab end#idk why i wrote all this i just have been wanting to do a full rant on this for a while#this issue has been building since like 2019 lol

I think we should stop letting people call stuff filler unless it's DBZ or something with a similar situation to it
#I saw somebody describe issues 51-55 of IDW as filler and I was just like. Do you even know the definition of that#There's literally plot important stuff happening in every one of those issues how in the world are they filler#51 and 52 moves everyone out of the Eggperial City in addition to showing Surge's return and her getting the Dynamo Cage#53 shows Surge obtaining all of Whisper's Wisps which gives her a huge power boost and also shows Sonic Tails and Kit learning she's alive#54 has Kit reunite with Surge and ends with them moving back into Starline's old lab#55 has Sonic and Tails as well as Eggman and Metal Sonic all move into the base to confront Surge and Kit#And also in that issue Sonic learns their true origin#So I really do not understand how anyone could possibly see any of that as filler#Krafter Talks

#somehow my truly unhinged plan of finishing a lab and two essays after work three days in a row fucking worked?????#so tomorrow i get to go birding and just enjoy it????????#WILD.#i MAY have to make some revisions on my chemistry essay but that will be a MINOR event#the bulk of everything is done#and tbh my professor has been ignoring my pleas for help all week - so most likely i’ll just end up turning it in as is#(and taking her ass to Dispute Court if she tries to give me a low score after not helping when i asked for it)#but i’m just glad it’s all DONE#i even worked ahead a little for next week which i have not had time to do in a WHILE#and now i’m just lying in bed :)) eating grapes :))#had a successful program today… STILL might be getting promoted… it’s an entire HOUR before midnight#life is GOOD man…#i mean. there are still Issues to be sure#but i’m pushing through it - i’m making it work#i’m eagerly awaiting the time where things Stop Happening for a bit#but for now - i can take it#i can take it all

5 year dog plan updates: I think I've identified a breed (and 3 potential breeders), I have more clearly figured out what I don't want and what my life style will not fit and most important I need more experience with dogs in general
#so over a year ago i started doing research on owner training a service dog and i was in contact with a GSD breeder who had a puppy left#over from their last litter who was very hamdler engaged (this obviously fell through because i realized i was just too short on time before#uni and now knowing more about temperaments and genetics i wouldn't go gsd but this was a great breeder)#with what i know know i a) do not want a herding breed it would be incredibly overwhelming and b) would prefer a medium sized dog (if i find#a poodle or lab breeder I'm obsessed with I'd still go that route unfortunately my fav poodle breeder with multi sd's in their line/#offspring is in Arizona and that's basically a no go#my favourite dogs are mid sized gun dogs which do not make good prospects (see the stinky girl in her window bird watching rn) i also have#tons of experience with a Brittany spaniel and know my personal dream dog is very similar (slightly lower energy and prey drive) which puts#show-line English springer spaniels as the breed I'd be happy with and while they do great as police sniffer dogs and therapy dogs there#aren't tons as service dogs because they can be too high energy and unfocused (i know that their energy would not be a big issue if we#create good settling habits) and i really appreciate them being soft mouthed for certain tasks and my apartment is very close to tons of#river paths so we are good for breed specific enrichment and fun#i just really want more dog sitting experience and to sit in on training sessions with other people over the next few years#because I've stalked ess breeder who is so transparent and has tons of show experience and does incredible socialization#they would also just be really good people to talk to about the breed#i just there are reasons the popular breeds are popular but i find herding dogs incredibly overwhelming and labs and goldens put everything#in their mouths and end up sick from it (I've also mcas reactions after petting all the goldens in my neighborhood)#and poodles are smarter than me and i am a low maintenance grooming girl (i could handle shave done with poms though)#i have no poodle experience outside badly bred Doodles#of popular breeds the one I'd work best with is a bernese mountain dog but they are a grooming challenge and I'm going to live in a smallish#apartment and exclusively use public transit (the fab 3 would also struggle a bit with this since they are mid-large(

This was not intended but activity is going to be severely strained for a bit; a couple days back I found out I missed a pretty important email regarding a school project of mine (my school email loves to toss anything into spam if it came from an address that’s not part of the university’s system ;-;) and have been working to get all of that sorted.
I already know this work is going to be bleeding into my semester and I’m going to have to dedicate nearly all my free time to it. But it’s why I’ve barely posted anything these last few days, and why it might still be like that for a bit. Apologies!
#please do not let the whole school year be like this I feel like I’m working on projects 24/7 all over again ;-;#i suprised myself by staying up for over 72 hours at the end of last semester just to try and finish this project#and I am not ready to go back to that#literally three night cycles passed by and I was holed up in a lab#and let me tell you that day I learned that staying up that long will make your body electric#like you’re sitting in a masssage chair and it’s vibrating even though you’re just sitting there#that is NOT GOOD#especially as someone with preexisting heart issues#the amount of work my school requires me to get done is insane#every class treats itself like it’s the only class I have#and I have to go along with it if I want to keep my scholarshipsssss ;-;#I’ll try not to let it get that bad this year#i cannot wait to graduate haha

what if capitalism is making the one job i thought was possible for me feel unattainable not because i haven’t literally been doing it since age 13 but because it’s not well paid enough so until you get into a higher position you have to work multiple jobs and i knew that i always knew that but. fuck. why is adulting going to be so exhausting. what if this really is the best time of my life? being a depressed college student? what if it’s downhill from here?

#ooh I really like the Hulk’s voice here#which is notable cause Roger Stern only plotted this issue while Steven Grant scripted#I haven’t read him on the Hulk before but I’m enjoying this#this Goldbug guy repeatedly thinking that the Hulk’ll just be chill and forgive him and then immediately being proven wrong is funny#also ‘I can run faster than he can plod!’ is really cute to me#most important thing here is that the Hulk is after Jarella since Tyrannus showed him that her body was being kept in a Gamma Base lab#I’m actually thinking now that they might actually have her there#either way he’s presumably going to attack Gamma Base and it’s notable that Samson isn’t there right now#if she’s there than I guess this storyline will end with the Hulk giving her a proper burial#so that’ll be something to see#marvel#bruce banner#jarella#my posts#comic panels

With new au/headcanon ideas. Dan explains what happened in Vlad's lab. Valerie explains what happened to human!Danny.#Dan has a little reception issue. Amity's shield is segmented. Dan vs Valerie fight! - Energy whips. Schemes. Fancy flips and spins.#There's also a little Florence Nightingale effect.#and... uh... that's about as far as I've gotten so far. Still need to write the main and last scene. The reveal.#It's... actually not that long of a fic? There's four or five scenes.

Anyways um. On abt Pyrric again. And sweets somehow. Those two like never end up feeling remotely adjacent
