i think one of my hotter jjk hot takes is that i don’t think kenjaku is gender-fluid

Really trying to unpack why the gameplay of Persona 3 didn’t entirely work for me, especially since I see so many tweets dunking on people for saying they want the rumored remake to be real so the gameplay problems are fixed and I actually agree with those people. I haven’t played it since 2019 when I played it the first time, but all I remember is thinking god can we please get a move on?? Everything in that game felt slow; walking around in the overworld without any sort of fast travel, your bland 256 floor dungeon that’s your only source of RPG gameplay, the battles where you have to wait for your AI party members to do their actions every single turn, the menus that are clunky and really show their age… it was a slog to play. Top it off with the fact that the story is a MAJOR slow burn (not a problem inherently, it has a lot of setup for one of the best ending stretches of a game I’ve ever played) meant that around October or so it took everything in me not to just drop the game and play something else.
And like, I kinda hate that?? Cuz the stuff Persona 3 does well it does *really* well. I’d argue it comes together better than Persona 4 Golden does, and arguably better than base Persona 5? The stretch from about November to the end of the game is truly unforgettable, and is the reason why you play Persona 3. But I’ve tried to go back to the game and I just can’t sit through the rest of it anymore, and if they can make a remake that just speeds up and streamlines the process I think it really would be to the game’s benefit.

Don't get me wrong I'm super happy we have Persona 3-5 on the Switch (I'm probably gonna get P3P for the switch myself and Royal on Steam) and other consoles but Atlus really need to stop ignoring Persona 1 and the Persona 2 duology
#PLEASE i want to play them so badly#they should be so easy to port too like what are they waiting for#unless they're getting some massive overhaul and are getting full on remakes#but seriously just put them on modern consoles#i've heard so many good things about the story and characters#the most accessible one is p2 is but like we NEED the others come atlus#but hey cant complain too much cause all these persona games on modern consoles is a good thing and probably means future persona/smt -#- games won't be playstation exclusives in the future#hopefully we get a physical release alongside a digital one i would appreciate that

It’s gotten to the point that I’m getting homework assigned to improve my serve…
#I cannot for the life of me get an overhand serve to work#and it’s so frustrating!!#I wanna practice but at the same time usually it means someone won’t get a serve to receive cause it’ll be shitty#and I don’t wanna do that#but today we had some time where we weren’t that many#so I was like okay today I’ll stick to it#and keep practicing#and fucking none of them came over the net ughh#my coach ended telling me to just do a few underhanded serves for a while to still get to receive smt#which was fine but also ugh#so after training he was like if you do this with a tennis ball you can practice the movement#which is very nice and I wanna do that but it’s wild that it has come to that#last time I practiced it I got two over the net out of like 15#but still that was something! I can do it sometimes#so like I will do it some day not all is lost#but it’s wild that such a simple movement doesn’t work for me#idk if it’s coordinating with the ball as well but it’s shitty#oh well I’ll try and find a tennis ball at home bc my coach wanted to bring me one#but I won’t be there next Monday and next Wednesday is cancelled#so I’ll try and find my own bc otherwise it’ll be a while#fingers crossed#I will get it one day! Officially two exams away from graduating!!!
#also lmao my average is as solid as a rock. it may go up or down a little but then it always goes back to its center or smt#which is nice! because it means I may get full final marks even if I don't get full points for my thesis <3#but it's still a bit too early to talk about that lol I still have 24 credits worth of exams in June 😬#(just checked: lowest I can accept is a 25 in both of them 💀)#pretty confident I should be able to graduate by October <33#I'm not even considering July because I cannot sustain all exams for logistic reasons 🙄 (the first available date for an exam#is *after* the deadline)#also I have 1) other things going on during summer 2) I can just chill a bit and do all my things without any hurry#I might encounter the slight problem of having to sign up + follow subjects for my master while graduating but it's okay :)#I've never really done one thing at a time so it will be manageable#my post#this is the kind of periodic stimuli and enrichment I need lol#now the next thing is meeting next week a professor I could possibly do my traineeship/thesis with 🤞
