I may have only started my journey with this show/manga within the last year or two, but I will never forget have I felt when “The End” popped up on the screen. Thank you to the animators at WIT, MAPPA, th voice actors, and the author himself, Hajime Isayama. Everyone did such an amazing job and I will forever miss AOT.

Hajime Isayama is a genius. And here's why: a tangent
The fourth season of Attack On Titan (AOT/Shingeki No Kyojin) is the epitome of
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Keep that in mind as you, if anybody, reads this.
Eren's villain arc makes total sense. Don't get me wrong, the ending was fucked. But it made so much sense.
With the entirety of the series being about freedom and him having the Attack Titan's power to "see" the future, Eren—as dumb and idiotic as he can be—realised, I think, that in order for the world to stop seeing Paradis as their foe (for the world to stop seeing Eldian's in general as their foe) and for them to have the freedom he so desperately dreamed about from the day Armin showed him that book, they needed a common enemy. But there wasn't one: there was just hatred and violence towards others who were just a little different. So he realised that, in the end, he had to become that. He had the strength and power, and he knew that. He could be that for the people. He could be the reason that the people of Marley and Paradis unite and fight side by side instead of fighting each other. He honestly even told Armin as much.
ARMIN: It was all to push us away from you... and make us into heroes who save humanity from extinction by taking you down?
EREN: Yeah. You guys will become saviors to all that's left of humanity. You turned your backs on Paradis in spite of being "Island Devils," and sided with humanity to the end.
Eren became what no one else wanted to. What no one thought he'd become. For the sake of the people that meant the world to him: Armin, Mikasa, Connie, Sasha, and even Jean (side note: I loved their rivalry. It made things light and fun even in dark times). He says that in order for things to go the way they needed to, future him sent the titan towards his mother instead of Bertholdt. Eren had to do the hardest things of his life towards the end: one being becoming someone he's not for the sake of the greater good (poor babies. Honestly, he was convincing as the villain: he had all the justifications to be that person. But he wasn't, down to his core, mean and cruel as he so convincingly portrayed himself to be. He even had his best friends fooled. Up until Armin heard about the eradication plan. At that point, Armin called his bullshit—which is fair).
He showed his father memories, fake and real, of what's to come to make him convince Zeke, which was very clever. He controlled Yimr enough—with Zeke's help of course—to make her attack his friends with titans from the past to put on a good show, not knowing whether or not they'd make it out alive (he hoped and his hope and knowledge that his friends—no, family—were skilled enough to stay alive). He definitely knew his death was coming, and he knew he had to continue on, even if that meant causing his loved ones pain; the pain of his death moreso than anything.
Eren made Marley team up with Paradis. To fight an enemy they both had in common instead of each other. To make Marley and the rest of the world see sense (though as Historia said: "The fight will not end even after the Titans have vanished. Eren told me everything about the future he knows. Even if he can't see the future past that point, he was able to see this future vividly. I'm sure this outcome was not just the result of Eren's choices. This world is the result of the choices we all made. We must fight. So we won't have to fight anymore. Even if it means to live a living hell devoid of peace...")
Hense the reason I say that the fourth season is the epitome of "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." He knew that if they had a common enemy, they'd unite and fight together, not against each other. There was no need for senseless killing. He didn't want that.
Oh and don't even get me STARTED on the symbolism. My GOD that struck me like a fucking truck. Like, the shot of the scouts saluting Levi as he sat against that bolder only for the camera to pan to the Wings Of Freedom on Erwins back as he disappears along with them. UGH.
And then the biRD PULLING AT MIKASA'S SCARF ONLY TO FLY AWAY. LIKE, WHY WOULD YOU SHOW ME THAT??? Im CrYiNg!!!!!
Eren is finally free.

My epitome of Eren: a fallen angel who cut off the wings himself. ⠀ Since his first act with that knife. Throwing away what’s left good to become a monster. ⠀ All argues between fans about whether Eren was right or wrong in his final decision perfectly illustrates the eternal trolley problem. Would you sacrifice your beloved ones for the good of unknown people? Giving one same answer is not in the nature of people. ⠀ It’s a blessing to not know the future. All consequences of every decision. There is no hope for the best left, no room for mistakes and theories. ⠀ I suppose it’s inevitable to become a psycho if you know the future. So I think Eren’s character development is a genius piece of art. ⠀ Thank you, Hajime Isayama.

So I can't get over AOT finale and after reading son many opinions, one thing that catches my attention is that it is said that Isayama is a genius for referencing Schindler's List. But the thing is: since the beginning he has been referencing different works of art.
When Eren in his titan form carries the rock on his back in Shiganshina, it is a reference (in design) to Atlas (a titan) carrying the world ball on his back.
When Historia and Eren are in the Reiss chapel, there is a reference to the representations of Jesus crucified and also to the representations of La Pieta (which at the time led me to think of Eren as the redeemer of the Eldians, but in a more twisted way. If the Eldians are the devil, he would sacrifice himself for them to free them from sin).
There are also references to Goya, like Dina devouring Eren's mom is a clear reference to Saturn devouring his son (Goya's most famous paint); but also, if you know Goya's work, you'll probably know his famous aquatint The sleep/dream of reason produces monsters (in spanish we use the word "sueño" for both "sleep" and "dream") which talks about how when humans abandon the reason and only have fantasies, monsters are created. And tbh, there was a moment, I don't know if during the 3rd or 4th season, when I wondered if AOT captured that idea: Eren has dreams, fantasies, but not reason.
And finally, don't forget Plato's Cave myth. What happens in Paradis (the Cave) is the shadow of what's happening in the continent (the outside world). As in this myth, people of Paradis lives in the cave and they only knows that reality, but Paradis reality (it is the shadows) is not the real reality (the outside world).

Okay, buckle up, we're gonna talk Jean and Floch (and Eren) ((and Reijean again because getting emotional about them is like my second job now – seriously, I’m putting as much Reijean into this as possible, it’s not a joke)).
But mostly Jean and Floch, yeah.
Tumblr media
As I’ve said before, Jean Kirschtein is a masterpiece of a character and I’ll most probably never shut up about him, the way he is written, developed and, just in general, Jean is the man, okay? As one of Isayama’s favorites, he is allowed to evolve in many delicious ways. He is also allowed to have some nice, eye-opening moments.
One of them is connected to Floch. Because Floch is very similar to Jean and yet exists to be his polar opposite in the areas that matter the most. He is, in a way, an extreme and radicalized version of Jean, if you will. And I think Jean knows that. Not only knows, but perhaps even wonders, whether Floch is what Jean himself could have become (to some extent) if Marco hadn’t died, if he had gone along with his initial plan and joined the MPs, and if he had been a tad more obsessive.
At the beginning of the story Jean does his best to come off as a self-obsessed coward and a jerk who never intends to step a foot outside of the Walls or use his honed skills to help humanity. He is lazy and focused on one goal only – staying safe in the Interior. However, the moment the Titans appear in Trost, is the moment we learn Jean is in fact not a simple coward – and far from it. Dropping the façade, he reveals himself to be one of the most dependable people around and, just like Marco prophesized, a natural born leader at heart. His friend’s death is of course the final straw, leading to his eventual involvement with the Scout Regiment instead of the Military Police. And it’s not just a spur-of-the-moment kind of thing for him. He’s not inspired by some higher force (or Eren). He makes a conscious decision to sacrifice whatever comfortable, easy life he could have, to stay true to himself and to do what he believes to be right. Sure, guilt and self-loathing are involved, but once Jean makes up his mind, everything is settled. He won’t back down from the challenge.
Needless to say, Jean’s not as OP as Levi or a genius strategist like Armin – even though he’s a Shadis-approved master of the ODM gear and smart in his own right. He’s definitely not as driven and intense as Eren. He's pragmatic and doesn’t intend to just throw his life away. Basically, compared to the main characters, he is just some guy who knows what fear and despair taste like, who allows himself to consider choosing the easy way out, acknowledges it and then – pushes forward to do what needs to be done. That’s why he is a good leader – he’s not a superhero, but a fellow human being who’s scared and yet fights on. And don’t get me wrong, he can still be a dramatic asshole, eager to antagonize others (Eren) and definitely not someone flawless. But that’s what makes him so relatable.
Jean facing his own humanity is probably one of the most reoccurring motifs in the series. He is aware of his shortcomings. He knows when to rely on others rather than let his ambition rule him and endanger those he’s supposed to lead (like when he takes command of the operation in Shiganshina at Armin’s request, but counts on him to come up with the final plan). He is also very well aware of the sacrifices that need to be made in their line of work. That’s why he’s able to face the harsh truth and take a step forward. But he’s far from okay.
Tumblr media
One of my favorite moments to illustrate that is during the battle with the Armored Titan in Shiganshina, when the gang thinks they actually managed to kill Reiner. Jean is trying to be in charge and keep everyone in line while, well, crying himself. We’re the ones who killed him.
Enter Floch.
Tumblr media
A self-proclaimed and pretty much self-obsessed coward who doesn’t want to fight the Titans, but does face them when the time comes. At the beginning he’s pretty carefree and very ignorant about what fighting the Titans actually entails. Whether we can consider him brave for his engagement in the Battle of Shiganshina, or whether we should see him as simply pressured into following the herd into the arms of death is up for discussion, but the fact is he does listen to Erwin and fulfill his duty when ordered to.
His strong and very twisted sense of devotion starts to shine through the moment he has a near-death experience and when Erwin’s life is on the line as well. He mostly loses his mind right there and then. As a result, where Jean’s devoted and still open to discussion, Floch’s obsessed (also traumatized beyond belief, I’ll give him that, but Jean sure isn’t any less traumatized at that stage). He doesn’t want to listen to anyone’s arguments. He’s fixated on one goal and he’s not letting go – therefore, inspiring another devil to raise (more on that later).
Just like Jean, he’s very blunt – not afraid to tell Armin he should have been the one to die in Erwin’s place or tell Hitch that Marlo regretted going to the battlefield right before his death. Whereas Jean’s bluntness can be seen (not always, but usually) as coming from a good place, Floch is a herald of very brutal and controversial truth – of what he obsessively believes to be the truth – that won’t change anything, but will hurt those around him. Jean, especially post-Trost, is not one to hurt others just for the sake of hurting them. Floch doesn’t really have that kind of filter.
Floch eventually becomes a leader too, as he starts gathering the Yeagerists, but at the same time remains a blind follower of whatever he believes in. His behavior is more akin to that of a cult leader — in stark contrast to Jean’s leadership and his constant questioning of whether what he does is right.
Tumblr media
Then there is some very obvious physical resemblance, especially in the anime.
Tumblr media
So, a similar story, similar character traits, similar looks even, but a completely different outcome?
Why?
Because of compassion. And because Isayama likes Jean a lot, so he gives him juicy (and very meaningful) storylines even if at first they seem to be of secondary importance.
Whereas Floch appears to lack compassion in general, Jean has it in abundance. We see it well when he interacts with Gabi or when he tries to find justification for Eren’s terrifying behavior, but both these moments are pretty fresh in our memory, so let’s go back in time and use another Reiner/Jean moment as an example (because I’m a f*cking sap, alright).
After the battle with Reiner in Shiganshina, and while being treated for the injuries Reiner himself has dealt to him, Jean overhears him talk about Ymir’s letter to Krista.
Tumblr media
Well, I never interpreted Jean’s desperate suggestion to steal Reiner’s Titan power just as his sudden need to propel Hange’s research or to gain them an upper hand over their enemies. Sure, this is the argument he uses to persuade Hange of all people, because it’s Hange who has just lost their entire squad (beloved Moblit included) to the Colossal Titan. It’s obvious that at this specific moment Hange will not respond well to Jean’s begging for Reiner’s life. But they do respond to a logical argument that corresponds with their mission.
If you disagree with that interpretation, think about it this way: one of the most important things about Jean’s character is that he’s very good at reading the situation and understanding other people’s struggles. That’s exactly what Marco saw in him from the very beginning.
Tumblr media
(because you care, baby, because you care just oh-so much)
Jean can no longer keep up the façade – he could devise the attack plan and attempt to kill Reiner in cold blood when there was no other choice. But, once Reiner is left broken on the ground, still loyal enough to protect Ymir’s letter, and even has balls to ask them to deliver it to Krista… Well, that’s what breaks Jean’s resolve. Because Reiner is no longer just an enemy. He is, once again, an old comrade and a friend.
So, Jean tries to delay the inevitable. Does he hope Reiner will start talking? Does he think it might be possible to take away one’s full Titan power without taking away their life? Or maybe he’s simply not ready to see Reiner beheaded again? Anyway, he cares more than he thought he would.
(Well, me and Jean have that in common, apparently – we’re both f*cking saps for Reiner)
Enter Eren.
Tumblr media
(please forgive me for using that pretty much unrelated panel, it’s just… so evil and cool)
Okay, Jean and Eren’s dynamic is one of my favorites in the series. Jean has zero tolerance to Eren’s idealistic bullshit and keeps calling him out on it both fairly and unfairly throughout the story. He is not phased in the least when he meets the freshly shifted Eren after the Battle of Trost. He doesn’t pull any punches as he explains what exactly is expected of him. In a way, he helps Eren see the situation through the eyes of a mere mortal.
Eren seems relieved when Jean doesn’t treat him any differently and still intends to be a real pain in the ass. He’s not like Armin who’ll offer him wise words and gentle encouragement. Not like Mikasa, who will protect him with brute force. Jean is, again, just some guy who doesn’t like beating around the bush and treating Eren like something fragile. Sure, he’ll risk his life for him and, sure, he can be protective of him in other ways (even going as far as to try to stop Connie from telling the others about Eren’s reaction to the news of Sasha’s death). But first and foremost, Eren can count on his honesty – Jean helps him stay grounded.
Eren, unfortunately, witnesses Floch’s devil rant in Shiganshina from up close. That’s why he turns to him for help later on. He knows Floch will get behind his radical reasoning and even the most brutal of ideas. Floch wants the devil to be reborn, after all. And that’s exactly what he gets.
But hey, before Eren and Floch join forces, they are pretty much at odds, aren’t they? They even get into a fight, and who has to break it up then? Ah, yes, Jean. The one who tries to beat the shit out of Eren more times than we can count (and vice versa), and who has to be forcefully separated from him even by Levi himself.
Tumblr media
It is pretty symbolic, Jean suddenly not being the one in a fight with Eren, but instead the one trying to break it up. A telling shift in the narrative.
And isn’t it ironic that once Eren consciously descends into madness, he chooses Floch as his trusted ally? Floch, who resembles Jean in many ways, but who will also follow him blindly into hell itself? Eren knows Jean won’t agree with his plan. And he surely cannot have Mikasa or Armin at his side. So, perhaps, he finds comfort in turning to the person who reminds him of one of his old friends. His bastardized version, for sure. But still, somewhat familiar.
Maybe it’s just my interpretation, but the way Isayama draws Jean, and the way Jean looks at Floch in many of the panels make it look like he recognizes how similar they are. There’s terror in his eyes, but there is also some kind of familiarity. Because if there is an ocean between them, they are standing on two opposite, yet very similar shores.
Tumblr media
Once the inevitable happens, Floch’s absolutely certain he’s dying for the right cause, doing the right thing. And it’s scary. I mean, you can dislike (or like) the guy all you want, I sure can appreciate a good villain (but wouldn't want to meet him in real life).
Jean fantasizes briefly about letting Eren do his thing. Because that would be the easiest way out. The least painful. Because he’s tired and hurting. When Floch offers him the option to just stop fighting, Jean wants to accept it. But he can't. Because in contrast to Floch, Jean listens to others (Hange, Marco), is aware of the consequences of his actions and, in a conversation with Reiner, is able to acknowledge his not so heroic role in the war. They are the same, after all — killers who took lives of innocent people to protect those close to them. To do the so called “right thing”. Thus, Jean has no right to judge Reiner, but rather an obligation to honor those who died, trying to win back their freedom. And he has to honor them by not allowing the world to be destroyed.
Floch isn't graced with a moment of self-reflection and dies a fanatic, an extreme example of what a man can achieve when he gives in to his darkest desires. Jean is on the other side of the spectrum, remaining the symbol of flawed, yet prevailing humanity — of what it means to have a heart. After all, what for Jean started with Marco's death, ended with him forgiving and saving Reiner.

The climax of Attack on Titan sweeps me into a sea of emotions, leaving me breathless and a bit disoriented. My heart brims with love and gratitude for Hajime Isayama's genius storytelling, character crafting, and Mappa's enchanting animation—a masterpiece that makes it challenging to articulate the sheer brilliance permeating every aspect. As the final episode gracefully fades out, bidding farewell to a world now intricately woven into my emotional landscape, an undeniable yearning emerges to linger a bit longer among the faces I've come to know and love. This journey has etched itself into me, leaving a mark that's more than skin deep – it's a soul tattoo that'll resonate forever.

I am rewatching Aot and it's insane how Isayama managed to make Erwin's almost every plan fail without diminishing his intelligence. Every aot fan agrees that he's a genius and the best commander ever despite most of the time nothing goes as he planned and I am so in love with this because often animes have this genius characters that predict and plan everything and to prove their intelligence everything goes as they predict most of the time but it's the opposite for Erwin, almost everything always goes wrong and he adapts and changes tactics. So, so good. It also strengthen that hopelessness that you feel at the beginning of the anime because our enemies feel so powerful and we are so small and helpless most of the time. Then you meet Erwin and Levi, a genius commander who made significantly positive changes in the SC and a tiny man who cuts real titans like they are lifeless cardboards. Yet it still feels hopeless time to time because Levi is just one man he can be only in one place and do one thing and Erwin can only do so much against the unknown with a crazy disadvantage because their enemies had moles and knew everything about them. I don't know, it's amazing how Isayama can make Levi feel so powerful and Erwin so intelligent even though they barely won anything.
This is an interesting take, but it’s not one I agree with.  I definitely do agree that Erwin is incredibly intelligent, capable of thinking on his feet, and a gifted military commander who advanced the cause of humanity and made significant changes to the Survey Corps.  I also agree that he was at a fatal disadvantage against an unknown enemy. However I don’t agree that almost every one of his plans failed and I’m curious as to why you should think that.  Certainly Erwin took incredible risks and he wasn’t afraid to gamble with his own life and those of his soldiers, but more often than not those gambles paid off.
For example…
He recruited a dangerous Underground thug into the Survey Corps because he could see his potential to save the world.  This despite the fact that he knew Levi intended to kill him.
Eren was an unknown quantity when Erwin devised the plan to save him from execution and bring him into the ranks of the Survey Corps. Having Levi beat him in the courtroom was incredibly risky, as they didn’t know for sure if he would transform and whether he could be contained if he did. If Erwin’s plan hadn’t worked, Eren would have been dead from the off.
Erwin’s plan to overthrow the corrupt government was one big gamble from start to finish. Perhaps the riskiest part of his plan was banking on Pixis to back him.  If Erwin hadn’t been right about everything, he would have been executed and I have no doubt that the majority of the Survey Corps would have been executed with him.  Perhaps the most remarkable thing about Erwin’s coup was that he successfully executed it with remarkably little bloodshed.
Another incredibly risky plan that Erwin managed to pull off was using the people of Orvud as bait to lure Rod Reiss’ Titan close enough to the walls to kill him. Again, this was achieved without loss of life.
Tumblr media
When people talk about Erwin’s failures they are often referring to the operation to capture the Female Titan, which resulted in the destruction of Stohess and considerable loss of civilian life. It is indeed true that Erwin’s first two plans to apprehend Annie failed; first to capture her in the forest, second for Armin to lure her into the Underground where she could be prevented from transforming.  When both these plans failed the last ditch plan was for Eren to transform and fight her.  This plan did succeed but with considerable cost, which Erwin did not shirk taking responsibility for.
Tumblr media
And then of course there’s the Expedition to Shiganshina, which depending on how you look at it, is either a huge success or the ultimate failure.  It was a success in that the expedition succeeded in reaching Grisha’s basement, uncovering the truth of the world, and proving Erwin’s father’s theories were true all along. They also captured the Colossal Titan in the process.  However it was a tragic failure in that Erwin paid for their success with his own life and the life of the recruits, and of course Levi also failed to kill or capture the Beast Titan.  I don’t think we can lay Levi’s failure at Erwin’s door though.
Tumblr media
Despite Erwin’s many successes as a military commander, it’s one of the tragedies of the story that he fatally misjudged Eren.  Rather than being the saviour of humanity as Erwin hoped,  Eren proved to be its destruction.  If Erwin had survived Shingashina I believe he would have done everything in his power to stop the Yeager brothers and prevent the Rumbling, and I like to think he would have succeeded, but alas we’ll never know.

Thank you letter: The End
Tumblr media
Image commissioned to @andengeu <3 Thank you so much for this amazing Eren and Mikasa from Rotten Judgement!
If you’re reading this, it means you have wrapped up your reading on Rotten Judgement. First of all, thank you so much. Whether you have liked your reading or not (although I hope you have), thank you for making it up here: to know that you’ve considered my story worth it of finishing, among so other many stories that there are (so other distractions in our daily life) makes my heart flutter and gives me a sense of plenitude.
When I started writing this story, I wanted it to be an amiable rom-com, that kind of fanfiction that people read to disappear from real life. I think I was pulled by the attraction of gaining a readership. However, as the story began forming in my head (in December, 2021!), I realized that these characters and their stories and their problems were much bigger than my not-so-down-to-earth ambitions. Why was I writing, firstly? Did I want to write just for exposure, or did I want to tell something that worried me in my writing? The second won, as you have all seen: I believe that we do not live in a kind world, that we have to fight endlessly, and that everything is politics. Excerpts from Fritz’s speeches were taken from Donald Trump and Santiago Abascal (the chief of the ultra-right party in Spain), although I could have cited many others. The demonstration of the last chapter was inspired by the massive demonstrations we’ve had in Spain in the last few years, too. As I wrote, I realized how important it was to me to show all the love, the friendships and the families in a political context. I won’t pretend I have discovered something new in this fanfiction, of course. If anything, I hope that it was mildly enjoyable, despite being the complete opposite of what I envisioned from the first time. It has surprised me to know the number of people who have read this: mainly because my chapters were long, and dense, and chapter by chapter you were here, commenting. I truly have no words.
This story wouldn’t have been the same without the world of Isayama, of course, but also Disney, and most particularly, Hercules. Without reading, either, since I read all the time, professionally and also in my spare time: I believe that reading takes us places, whatever we read. It makes us more empathetic and sets us up for healthy debate. So, despite the bans in libraries, in books, censorship all over, and morality police, do not stop thriving for books, and do not stop reading.
Some people have been very important throughout this year. In real life, my boyfriend and friends. In the virtual world: Sam, Ris (@liquorisce), KB (@irememberthedark), Jo, Kami, Anna, Hannah, Heart (@heartvu), Rotten (@rottenlover), Rae (@staraesea), Lys (@sunlightandsuffering), Ashley (@r-brauns) Shon (@wlshond), Onigiri (@onigiri-dorkk), Chaos (@chaosisbeauty23), Nuri (@nuri148), Bry (@bryhaven), Sam (@shenanigansam) (I hope I don't forget anyone)—thank you for the beautiful conversations, for giving me a place when I felt disheartened, for commenting on other fanfictions and readings with me. Special thanks to Ro (@dead-dolphins), for being her genius and creating self, full of empathy and altruism and making such beautiful banners for Rotten Judgement. All the covers for the different parts are her doing. And special thanks to Nina (@sinigangsta-ao3): for lending her ears whenever I was wrong, for her interactions with series and books and politics, for her effort in beta-ing some of the parts in this fic and giving me the vocabulary to talk about things I didn’t know how to express, but most of all, for being an extraordinary friend.
I am thankful for a lot of other people, too: especially some of you, commenters, who have been following my stories since I did not live until today, or even those who have discovered me with Rotten Judgement but have, without fail, left a comment someday. I know some of your usernames by heart, but I trust that you all know already who you are. Without your engagement, I would have felt discouraged to write some days. Coming here was a safe haven, and so I thank you deeply. For the ones that read, left kudos I thank you all, truly, for the motivation and encouragement you left along this 500 pages of story.
Some images of this past year and the making of Rotten Judgement. Thank you again.

The AOT characters and their MBTI types:
Warnings: none really except for swearing and major spoilers on season 2 and 4 for the show
Eren: ESFP
(extroverted • sensing • feeling • perceiving)
Some may disagree but I feel like eren could be both introverted and extroverted honestly. However I believe his true true self is in fact and ESFP especially in a modern universe. And the rest goes unsaid. He’s definitely more of an observer than he is intuitive he has a thick skull and he’d have to really pay attention to something to understand what’s going on. His emotions lead him more than anything and I mean its pretty self explanatory he committed mass genocide just to protect his friends.
Armin: INFJ
(Introverted • intuitive • feeling • judging)
I say this with my chest. Mans is an INFJ. Introverted as fuck. Intuitive as fuck smartass. Feeling as fuck sensitive mf. And very outspoken. There see. I’m right.
Mikasa: ISTJ
(Introverted • sensing • thinking • judging)
I really don’t wanna have to explain myself this is very self explanatory.
Levi: INTJ
(Introverted • intuitive • thinking • judging)
Fight me. Everybody argues that Levi is an ISTP bitch where. Literally where. This mf is intuitive as fuck he can smell bullshit a mile away. This man would sense ur bullshit right away and call you out on it infront of everyone. Intuitive judger. Don’t fuck with him he’s scary. Have you seen his bitch face ??? Also the classic INTJ cold exterior warm interior signature is here which only makes my point ten times more accurate 🙄🙄
Hanji: ENTP
(extroverted • intuitive • thinking • perceiving)
God this is so so so so so self explanatory and clear. I’ll just say this you know who else is an enfp? Gojo and Ryuk. That’s literally all I have to say.
Erwin: ENTJ
(extroverted • intuitive • thinking • judging)
Scary politician man. Ten steps ahead. Kind of toxic and really annoyingly persuasive, you can’t even argue with these mfs it’s so hard to articulate a good counter argument literally the best comeback you could come up with is “ur mom”.
“…Therefore I hereby sentence you to 10 years in prison, do you have any final statements?”
“uh ur mom”
“…make it 20 smh”
Jean: ISFJ
(Introverted • sensing • feeling • judging)
I really really can’t explain this it just makes sense to me. He could possibly be an estp???? I mean he’s a player and he’s full of himself sorry for using stereotypes it just makes sense to me that he’s an ISFJ but I could be persuaded otherwise.
Sasha: ENFP
(extroverted • intuitive • feeling • perceiving)
Ah the best personality type 😌 totally unbiased. This is very very very clear and self explanatory so cute and pure and sassy. Sunshine.
Connie: ENFP
(extroverted • intuitive • feeling • perceiving)
It might be cliché that I put Sasha and Connie as the same type. But it is completely accurate and true and you can take it up with Isayama for making them soulmates and completely perfect twins. I miss them
Historia: ENFJ
(extroverted • intuitive • feeling • judging)
the classic angel, swan, dreamy, piscean vibes that goes with enfj. She’s a classic classic enfj and it’s so pretty and cute and just very fitting (can u tell I like enfj??) #enfjenvy
Ymir: ISTP
(Introverted • sensing • thinking • perceiving)
I know I know. I’m a genius 😌 this is so accurate it’s not even funny just to show u how much this is true here are some ISTP characters; Say-beok from squid game, Rue Bennet from Euphoria, Toph from avatar, Ash from banana fish, Dabi from mha and fucking Eminem bro. I’m a fucking genius. Thank you and goodnight.
Reiner: ESFJ
(extroverted • sensing • feeling • judging)
I really really can’t explain this I just know it in my heart to be true. Do ur own research abt them if u don’t believe me 🙄🙄
Annie: INTP
(Introverted • intuitive • thinking • perceiving)
This is completely an opinion I haven’t really analyzed her character that well but I genuinely believe she’s an intp. It’s just so fitting for her character and I doubt she would’ve gotten away with being the female titan and hiding it so well if she wasn’t intuitive. Also it’s very in character of an intp to isolate themselves when they don’t want to get attached to the people around them.
Anyway that’s all I’m gonna do for today if you have requests for any more characters leave an ask or something. Same goes for requests. I hope you enjoyed me ranting abt mbti lol byeyyeyeyeyeye <33

After watching the finale of Attack on Titan and crying all my tears, I don't think it's fair to hate any of the young characters... Over the years watching the anime I have seen many people taking Eren's side and hating Reiner, or loving Reiner and criticizing Armin, I myself at some point hated Gabi (I think it's easy to imagine why). With the full picture though (from the anime only, in fact I apologize if there is much that I certainly didn't understand) it is clear to me much more about all of these magnificent and complex characters.
I think that in order to "excuse" them all from their bad choices that have led to many catastrophic consequences it may be interesting to listen to the words of that old man who leads the Marleyans on the finale, it is interesting to listen in fact to how he admits that the blame for what is happening belongs only to the old people and the old generations, who have forced the young people to live in the terrible world that they themselves have built (again it was very moving to see the reaction of Reiner's mother, to see her guilt, how she admits that she only used him, that she did not love him and was not a good mother). In this aspect I think Aot is very timely and portrays the reality of our world where young people are forced to fight wars, die, face the consequences of the bad choices made by previous generations.
That is why I don't think any of us can really criticize the choices of the young characters, each of them, in their own ways, has endured a life of "brainwashing", there are those who have spent their lives being devoured by giants without knowing the meaning behind it, those who have been raised with the idea that they have to kill their own people to pay for the sins of the past... Eren on his part I think is one of the best characters ever created, whether you may like him or not, whether you may agree with his choices or not, I think it is magnificent to see the evolution of his character. Despite the fact that his actions have led to the death of many of his friends and the people of Paradis, that he says so much that he wants to protect, I really believe that from his point of view this was the only chance he had to create a better future for his comrades (let's still consider the fact that we are dealing with a young boy who, despite having seen different futures (?), still found himself with a huge weight on his shoulders, something he should not have had to face alone).
I also find it very real that on the ending it is shown how despite all the events that have happened history "repeats itself" (I looked for explanations on this and apparently with Eren's actions the power of the giants is gone, so history will not repeat itself as we saw it, but will simply repeat itself with new wars, new killings, new hatred and massacres and I also find this very real). That said, after exposing my fresh thoughts on the ending that I have been waiting for years, stubbornly not reading it in the manga because I wanted to finish the story as I started it, by seeing the anime, I can say that Isayama is a genius. He created a story that manages to be very close to reality, despite the fact that it has almost nothing real in it. He created complex and misguided characters who still manage to make you think with their choices and their mistakes.
I am sure that there will be many mistakes in my reflections and I will continue my research to better understand the parts that I am missing. It would be nice to talk to Isayama about this and have him tell all the hidden meanings in the story.

MAJOR AOT MANGA SPOILERS ‼️
the more i think about the ending of AOT, the more i love it.
it was actually so evident from season 1 that the manga was going to end on this note. isayama made it so transparently clear, and yet so hard to notice.
in the second to last episode of season 1, when eren was stuck under the rubble and he just couldn’t turn into a titan, armin tells him something very interesting.
he says, “someone who can’t sacrifice anything can never change anything. to defeat monsters, you have to be willing to throw aside your humanity.”
additionally in the next episode, when mikasa tells eren that she was “glad he came back”, it sort of directly contradicts armin’s statement. eren was ready to throw away his humanity, in fact when he was fighting annie, you can say he almost did. except when he saw her face. he hesitated for a moment. that “moment” was his humanity. the sliver of humanity he had left. which is why they failed to actually capture and question annie. at that moment, he failed to sacrifice his humanity.
eren always made it abundantly obvious that he would do absolutely anything for his family and his friends. he would tear down cities, destroy homes, kill thousands. he would throw away whatever ounce of humanity he had left, for those he loves. and ultimately, you can say that he did.
but… he would always come back. eren always found a way to “come back” to armin and mikasa. when his mind was flooded with thoughts of rage, war, revenge and his hands were bruised and bloodied, him still keeping that bit of humanity in him is what allowed him to “come back” always.
ultimately, there’s no doubt that isayama is a genius. and of course this is just my take on this masterpiece, but in the end, you can say eren did succeed in his mission, proving he managed to defeat the monsters by destroying his humanity.
or you can say he didn’t. it’s not black or white. just like you can say he ultimately came back to mikasa, proving he still had some humanity left. or you can say he didn’t come back, since he died.
if you read all that, i commend you 🙏🏽
