hello everyone, as your resident annoying spaniard currently playing pokemon scarlet and violet i wanted to make posts talking about references to my culture within the games!! i don't know how many of these i'll make but yeah, i'm just very excited about all of this, i've been playing pokemon since emerald and i've always wanted a region set in my country :)

i'll post all spoilers under the cut but i have yet to make a tag y'all can block (suggestions are welcome!)

the first obvious reference is of course the players house! even though from the outside it feels more latinamerican than iberian to me (gamefreak has fucked up in some extense regarding that, i'll talk about it don't worry), the inside is clearly spanish

everything from the paintings resembling a flamenco dancer and manchego windmills to the mounted plates (my grandma has some very similar ones, they're always white and blue or white and red) to the tiling in the kitchen screams spanish. you can even feel the popcorn walls (funnily enough the walls in my house are also painted in red and white/beige).

the next references can be found in nemona's mansion in the form of paintings:

the first painting mimics joaquín sorolla's style, while the second one does the same with joan miró. also, and i'm gonna say this a lot but i can't get over it... the floor tiling. it's literally that. i've seen that exact tiling irl.

this is a very obvious thing... but bocadillos / sandwiches lol

specifically this scene, of your mum giving you a bocadillo to have as a snack, is something repeated every day in the country; school and high school kids normally pack a bocadillo (or other snack) to have in the playground at break.

the worker trainer class looks exactly as workers in spain do, same outfit!

now we go with more obvious ones, food!!

first pic: paella (not with the traditional ingredients but it's something i guess); the 'juice with fruit' thing is most likely just sangría; escalivada is a vegetable dish from eastern iberia; tortilla de patatas (my personal favourite spanish dish); and finally the last food probably references gambas al ajillo, prawn with garlic and paprika basically.

second pic: patatas bravas can be found everywhere in spain, mostly as tapas or appetizers, and they're incredible. alfajores are usually associated with latin america, but it's true that they're also prepared in southern spain, usually around christmas time. coffee is a must in any spanish bar, it is a coffee country and café con leche is loved throughout spain. about quesadillas... those are mexican. pokemon slipped up with that one.

third pic: coming from the city that's most associated with churros in the country (one of the inspirations for mesagoza lol) i'm so happy they are in the game!!!! i love them and can't wait to get them in december dipped with hot chocolate, as it's traditional (i believe what we call hot chocolate is hot cocoa in other places?) i'm sad that there's no porras tho, that would've been a cool addition.

i imagine there'll be more dishes in other parts of the region, and i can't wait to find them all!!!

this one's very neat, the mailboxes are exactly the same as in spain :)

the academy classes look pretty similar to public high school classes, the distinct green desks and chairs are particularly noticeable

i'm not sure how this will be adressed in the english version so maybe this only makes sense in the spanish one, but it seems that the academy students are divided into sciences and humanities/social sciences/arts, just like irl spanish high schools

once again... floor tiles. the floor game in scarlet and violet is off the charts, the one in your character's room is one of the most common tile design in spain

Some time ago I made a post with random Swedish facts based on some very common misunderstandings or misconceptions I've seen in this fandon. I was asked to make more of these.

Some points will be repeats because I see them in fics and discussions all the time.

Again this is just made to share swedish culture and some fact about swedish society. Not to point blame at people. Research can be tricky and it's easy to assume that things work as they do in your own country.

And at the end of the day it's not that deep. However if you have any questions or want to discuss my ask box is open and I'm always happy to help. You can also dm me if you prefer that.

⭐️ Swearing is no big deal at all. For a Royal and in public yes, in every day life, no teenager will scold another for swearing and alot of parents wouldn't bat an eye.

⭐️ Sex is also not a big deal. Teenagers have sex. Parents expect them to.

⭐️You don't adress eachother with Mr and miss/Mrs/Ms. Hillerska is a little different because the students formally adress their teachers but that is not how things work outside of school. The teachers call the students by their first name. Noone will day Mr Eriksson to Simon. Not Malin, not the Queen, not a teacher, noone.

⭐️ Legal age for drinking is 18 but you can only buy it at 18 at restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The legal age to buy alcohol elsewhere is 20.

⭐️You are allowed to get your drivers lisence at 18. Most people get one for stick shift and stick shift is very common. You can start practicing at 16 though.

⭐️Simon and Wilhelm are 16 or about to turn 16 the year they start Hillerska. So in season 1 they are either already 16 or about to turn 16. In season 2 they are going to turn 17 that same year. Unless they for some reason skipped a year or were held back. Which there's no reason to believe.

⭐️ Sara is a year older than Simon. They are not twins. She was held back. This is why she turns 18 amd becomes a legal adult in season 2.

⭐️ August is 2 years older than Simon and Wille so is about to turn 19 during the year that season 2 takes place.

⭐️ The age difference between August and Sara is not considered weird. Neither is the age difference between Marcus and Simon (2years) it doesn't really matter that Marcus is an adult and Simon is not. The legal age of consent is 15 and if people are close in age people won't think it's weird.

⭐️ School is free. There are laws that prohibit schools from charging anyhting. I don't even think the uniforms would cost anything. Getting them tailored would of course. I might be wrong about this but the first 9 years of school before Gymnasiet (High school) are not allowed to cost anything. Simon and Sara are not on scholarships. Sara is on one for boarding but not for attending.

⭐️ University is also free. Most people have the opportunity to go to uni since it's free and there are loans you can take to cover living expenses that you pay off once you've done with your studies. You also get a little amount every month that is not a loan. You get in based on grades. The police school also have physical tests and interviews to make sure you are fit enough and suitable to become a Police officer. Other than that it's basically grades for most educations. So everyone has the same chance. (Almost)

⭐️ Many students work extra but not everyone. I did but not all of my friends did.

⭐️ Both school and university are based on two terms. For school the autumn term starts in kid August and ends just before Christmas. Then the Spring term starts in the beginning of Janaury and ends in the beginning of June.

Uni is a little different. Autumn term starts at the end of August or at the beginning of September (typically) and ends in the beginning of january.

The new term starts around the 9th of January and ends at the beginning of June.

⭐️ Uni on really has a summer break but not all teachers and professors are dickheads but you can technically have both lectures and seminares only days after Christmas which means no Christmas break. You will most definitely have something to study for or write during Christmas because the beginning of January always almost mean a written exam or a deadline for an essay.

⭐️ Normal school has breaks. 10 weeks of summer break from beginning of June to middle of August.

Autumn break in late October/beginning of November. 7 days. Or like 5 weekdays.

Christmas break is around 3 weeks. From a few days before Christmas to beginning of January. A few days into the new year.

Then we have what we call Sports break. Typically in February but it warries and different regions have different weeks to not crowed skiing resorts etc. 7 days.

Then we have easter break which is also devided ao the break either begins with the easter weekend and Good Friday (almost wrote black Friday lmao) or ends with easter monday. In total it's 8 days.

⭐️ As a full time employee you typically get 25 paid days of leave which is 5 weeks. There is a law that states that your employer has to allow you three weeks of paid leave in a row during summer (June-August). You also get more days the older you get. In addition you also get a kind of vacation bonus that is added on to your salary when you take time off.

⭐️ Very typical working hours are 8 hours a day for a full time job. Some work a little less though. For my full time is 7.75 hours a day. Those who work shift sometimes have a little less than 8 hours or 40 hours a week.

I worked shift at my old job (Group home) one shift was from 07.00 am to 16.00 or 16m30 with 30 minutes break. One shift was from 13.30-21.30 if I remember correctly. Also with 30 minutes break. The night shift was from 21.00-7.00. If you worked late nights, the night shift or weekends and holidays you would get paid extra. So on weekends I got around 53 kr extra per hour, around 5 euros. During holidays such as christmas, new years eve, easter or midsummer you'd get around 100 kr extra per hour.

If you end up more than full time you also get paid extra or get more days you can take off. For me you get paid double or can take time off instead.

This varies though depending on where you work and your title etc.

⭐️ The hospital has similar working hours with three shifts. We know Linda is a nurse so she probably works as least both day shifts and evening shift. Maybe even night shifts. If she worked overtime she would be paid extra.

⭐️ Labour unions are also very common and very important. There are many unions depending on profession. The unions protect the workers rights and interests. They can help you should you get in some kind dispute with your employer. They also negotiate terms and conditions for workers as well as wages.

⭐️ Sweden has fairly strong laws around work and employment that also set duties and responsibilities of employers. You can't fire people based on nothing and are obliged to follow strict laws.

⭐️ Over all Sweden has a fairly strong welfare system. Not perfect by any means but fairly strong and not something to take for granted.

That includes free health care, free school, child protective services, etc. Of course its funded by taxes so it's not free but you get it.

⭐️ There's protection of you don't have a job, can't work because you are physically or mentally unable to and when you retire. (This could definitely be better though)

⭐️ There are also protection for children. There would not be shelters for Lgbtq+ teenagers that have been throwned out by homophobic parents etc. There is social service that would help and there is a foster care system though.

School also have very strict rules to follow and are obliged to report if they believe a child is in danger at home or that their parents are not fit to care for them.

Orphanages for children and teenagers are not a thing but there are group homes but for other reasons.

⭐️ There are shelters for homeless people and other socially vulnerable people like drug addicts. Many are funded by the Church.

⭐️ I used to work with people with mental illness and or drug addiction and they were also surrounded by a sort of support network. (I would say that too would need improvement but they got help and they had somewhere to live.)

Hi flowers, so a bit of an angsty one and I feel like it's fitting today's news. It's not prooferead so I'm sorry about that. Hope you enjoy it anyway. if you want to be added to a taglist just let me know. tw: sadness, angst, ferrari, shitty media, sadness and sadness once again. english is not my first language.

chapter 4

Denial of evidence

After the grand prix things kept going downhill for y/n, she had to put her social medias on private to avoid all the hate she has been getting and Charles had to start avoiding being public with her, than inevitably brought his team to discuss the matter again. “I am sorry Charles, but for her sake and yours you should go back to being in secrecy.” those words feels to the Monegasque like a stab in his heart, knowing damn well it was the right choice, but the most unfair one at the same time “You’ll have a press conference in 30 minutes and read this statement, you’d better call y/n.”.

Charles has been working in Maranello for a few days after the Monaco Grand Prix, so he didn’t get the chance to spend much time with y/n after what happened, knowing what he said and what was going to happen a big knot in the throat hunts him as he dials y/n’s phone number on his own. “Amore?” her voice feels comforting to him and painful at the same time “Mon ange” he stops for a second before taking a deep breath “Charles? What’s happening?” he keep staring at the statement paper in front of himself, not really knowing how to start “Listen ange, I have to tell you something that you won’t like.” he could hear the tension building up in y/n’s silence “We just can’t do it out there in the public like this, is way too dangerous. I don’t want people to hurt you because of me, we’ll just have to wait a little longer.” y/n perfectly understood what he meant, he couldn’t blame him, but it hurt badly “I understand Charles, you don’t have to worry.” He knew she was special and understanding and that hurt him even more, knowing that she doesn’t deserve this situation “I have a statement, for a press conference. Do you want to know what’s in it beforehand?” “No, don’t worry.”

The press conference eventually happened and Charles really fought to put a straight face on and read the statement as if it was something he believed in, y/n started the live session on Ferrari’s official page to watch it while it was on air. It felt all surreal to both of them, but they knew at the end of the day it was the right choice.

“Good evening, since we noticed there is a misunderstood situation that is bringing many people to face uncomfortable situation we wanted to adress some issues with this conference. Feel free to ask questions at the end of the statement.” The moderator of the conference, professionally introduced the situation before letting Charles speak and recite the paper his team gave to him earlier. “Many journalists and media, shared pictures of me and my dear friend y/n y/l/n, and many started speculating and creating false declarations of the two of us being a couple. She’s been my friends since a long time now, but there is just affection as brother and sister between us. I referred to her as a girl friend, but by no means I meant it in a loving way. So I would ask you all to please let her be, and myself too as my profile is the one as formula 1 driver and my love life and friendship shouldn’t be of your interest. Thank you.” Charles feels as breathing is a challenge right now, just imagining how y/n would feel after hearing those harsh words streaming live.

It takes a couple of seconds for y/n to understand all the things she has heard in the past 10 minutes, the conference kept going on her laptop screen, but after that statement she couldn’t really hear anymore. It just slowly became a white noise under her loud thoughts.

Being able to see each other started to become harder and harder each day more. Charles was far away most of the time and they needed to be careful, because everyone was watching what Charles was saying and doing, and even when he was able to get back to Monaco they had such little time to spend together. The two of them tired, always on the edge and small discussions had become part of their new a-normality. Everytime Charles was away it hurt to y/n, but when he was there and she wasn’t allow to enjoy time with him, it hurt even more. Excuses, after excuses, until they piled up. To Charles was painful as well, it was hard to concentrate when he was far away, knowing ho y/n struggled to support him from afar. It was hard to him even when he could came back and his team always found away to persuade him into avoiding her and troubles.

Eventually many lost occasions and excuses to y/n were too many and everything broke. “Y/n you know I would, but I can’t. It’s too dangerous.” “It’s super late and I will cover up, nobody will notice me. I swear Charles, it’s been too much and knowing you’re here on a break, so close. How can I just let it be?” y/n voice broken trying to fight for what was hers “Y/n… You know it.” Charles was struggling as well, but he could not for the life of his just let it go, even for once, he fought too hard for what he had and his team really made him think that she could be the end of it, but to y/n seeing him like this was the end of them. She decided that she would go to Charles anyway and after hiding u behind a hoodie and a face mask she left her place.

Many things passed through her mind at that moment, she felt the need to see him, kiss him and say how much she loved him. On the other hand her rational side knew that it was dangerous, that he’d probably be mad and the only right thing to do was just one. “Y/n, I told you. What are you doing here?” Charles’s eyes were painted of a mixture of happiness in seeing his loved one face after a long time, and sadness knowing the risks they were taking “Don’t worry, I’ll make it fast.” those words made Charles feels as everything stopped for a seconds “You know I love you Charles, I do with all my heart. But this isn’t us anymore, this is avoiding each other, discussing over our basic needs. It’s pointless being together but being held so far, it’s too painful. It’s not good for us, living in fear.” At that point Charles started to realize, not just what was she saying but everything that went on in the last period of time “y/n…” “Please, let me just finish. “ a small sob escaped her lips before being able to push through the tears and finishing her speech “If we can’t do it properly, it’s better we don’t do this at all.” Charles would have loved to say one thousand things, he feels like he wants to shout at her, hug her, kiss her and saying that he would give up on anything and fight anything to have her. Instead he just stayed there, still with a tear crossing his face “I am sorry.” the only words that are able to leave is mouth “I love you.” y/n answered, looking into his eyes, she wasn’t mad at his reaction, he knew him. It was just all too much. She just turn and leave the Monegasque behind, with a “I love you too” trapped between his lips as he saw everything he loved slipping right away.

Writing whatever I want: Yúnlü tid bits

Her personality as Cyber I always picture being incredibly charming and charismatic, most likely always the center of attention. Raw talent is what will get you noticed but it is your public perception that'll keep you in the spotlight after all! And for that they need to want you. Very energetic and friendly but still able to make witty remarks if the situation calls for it, she just has a way with words! Her self confidence is enviable. Most definitely a perfectionist, she wants things done in a specific way and will often do everything by herself to make that vision happen she is actually pretty bad when it comes to working in teams.

As Yúnlü she is a lot more chilled out and down to earth, often acting reserved to fade into the background the whole goal is to not be in the spotlight after all to keep what little privacy she has safe, meaning she is very protective of it, will often dance around the most mundane of personal questions. I like to think of her as the "moved out big sister type" meaning that if there is any problem she'll most likely be the one up to fix it either by you approaching her or her taking charge by herself, looks like she knows what she is doing(does she really tho?). Also very much still a people pleaser.

She has a habit of lying constantly, it has become her way of deflecting noisy reporters trying to gain information that they by all means shouldn't even want. She is already so used to it that she'll lie in casual conversation without meaning to.

While she is a little older than Mei,Mk and Redson(mentally speaking she is a demon-) I do think it isn't by that much so probably just around 22 or 23.

Her white her is actually natural, she has been going gray early from stress ever since she was a child so by know all of it had turned white, her cyan highlights are actually dyed though.

She actually isn't very good at using glamour or any magic for that matter, one half of her life she grew up in the celestial realm and the other on earth having to adjust to human society and how it always changed. Demonic traditions are basically foreign to her.

Jú adopted her after their attempt to overthrow the jade emperor failed, so she actually never knew any members of the brotherhood prior to the series, she does adress them as family once made aware. Specifically the demon bull family, much to Redsons dismay, these two basically act like siblings that would murder each other for trying to walk through a door at the same time-

With Sun wukong it's honestly pretty awkward, she treats him more like he is her distant third cousin rather than her uncle- like their conversation is basically what you have with your extended family you don't know very well over tea, every time they speak.

LET'S NOT TALK ABOUT MACAQUE-

She is the only person in her house hold that knows how a computer works and yes they call her every time there is a pop up ad and think it's a virus-

alone, with close friends and family

really intelligent and observant, would say learning is one of her hobbies, has difficulty learning through just reading books with other people's theories, prefers to watch and analyze then discuss (and genuinely enjoys doing so, it's probably part of her daily life). deep and considerate, knows social constructs very well, reminds me of jane austen's protagonists. a perfectionist, grammar obsessed, a school nerd, definitely class conscious and way smarter than people assume. has a whole lot of energy, could talk for hours without stopping, very loud, and jump from activity to activity without really concluding them. definitely makes fun of her exes, in realistic, accurate ways, precise with her observations. she doesn't feel superior or looks down to average people, but she understands that there is a social pyramid and she is at the top half, she's very patient and understanding when people make mistakes, and likes to use her positions to help whoever she can. if you do hurt her, she may understand but she will not get you back, unless you really show maturity and growth, she's very realistic but definitely doesn't let things go. she has rich people hobbies like yachts and fencing, likes to go through her closet and see what she still likes and how she can use her clothes in different ways, playing dress up, salon, beauty pageants, talent competitions and mimics with friends, may love wine and board games nights. in her job most things are borrowed and sponsored, so she loves to enjoy her money and the things she owns when she has the opportunity, to really ground herself and realize she's doing real things, making real money and her life is palpable and her own.

the iconic trio but if they were normal kids with normal lives, normal parents and in a normal town

this is a little peak of my modern/slice of life au that I love, it's literally one of the first things me and my bestie did when getting into mgs. it's very wholesome and cutesy, the exact opposite of its source material. I will talk about it fully later though, as I have other things planned for this month. This au is completely safe for other people to insert their OCs in. It is also set in Alaska, and most birthdates remain unchanged. But I'll give you some fun facts about this three little fucks and their normal lives as kids in my au.

Eli Sears (12 y/o)

Son of John and Eva Sears

half white American half Italian (in my head Eva is Italian stfu)

is the middle child (for a few seconds) and gets treated like it

lives in a very fucked up family (fucked up in the Family guy way)

vapes (thinking it's cool)

the vapes are stolen from uncle Venom

he despised his brother since the day they came out of their mother

acts all mean and angsty but still cries to his mama when he can't do his math homework

thinks he is the leader of the trio

cant tie his shoes

has braces

is a bit of a bully, or at least tries

is in their chuch's choir (in this AU the Sears are Catholics)

has a skateboard

Azedi Miller (14 y/o)

Adoptive daughter of Kaz Miller, that single-fathered her for most of her life

has a very deep and healthy bond with her dad, even if he is very overprotective

her race and ethnicity are the same, and she is still in touch of her culture even if she has been raised by an American man. But now she has a more southern accent, coping her dad.

at 14 she became a loving older sister of Catherine Miller was born

tomboy, and is a soccer champion

is the bodyguard of the trio (the one who protects and takes all the countabilty of their actions because she is the oldest)

tries to hold Eli from doing dumbshit most of the time, but at the end joins him

is a scout girl

has lived in the countryside in her first years.

gets herself into dangerous shit because her little ADHD brain tells her to do them

Azedi is neighboors with Quiet, that is Eli's cousin bcs in this AU she was adopted by Venom (don't ask why), and they are besties even if Az is 14 years younger than Quiet.

Tretij Rebenok (12 y/o)

lives in a foster-care home

autistic and has been nonverbal since 7th grade

knows that he is slavic, doesn't know much else of his past

trans boy, but only his friends know about it (even though, since he didn't talk, they only ever adressed him with "It")

he is the racoon of the trio (lives in a trash can and bites)

scares a lot of people just by the way he looks and is banned from most public spaces

instigates Eli into doing dumb shit

deadname is unknown. Before he asked them to call him Tretij they just called him "the other one" or "third friend"

literally eats bugs

in his foster home he is a neglected a bit, so he may often look messy and he may stink

he has a burnt scar on half of his face (I had to make up for the canon scars)

evilest fucking kid ever

just hangs in the background most of the time thankfully though

Some other fun facts about the trio in the au

Azedi and Eli have known each other since they were born, since their dads are buddies. they met Tretij when they entered primary school and became the neighborhood's terrors ever since

they raid Ocelot's house every once in a while

Eli and Azedi used to communicate with Tretij with mostly sign leanguege, that they learned with Quiet (since she is also autistic and nonverbal in this AU), when he was nonverbal, even though they also didn't really need to sign anything with Tretij bcs he understood them even without gestures (since they are that close with each other :3)

Eli and Azedi had started dating at the end of Eli's 7th grade, but the only thing that they do different from what they do with Tretij is giving each other little kisses and calling each other petnames

also Miller despises Eli, but this is in all universes

they all have matching bracelets made by Az

It includes all letters that we have to or from him (at least I’ve never seen anyone reference letters that are not mentioned in the correspondence as well, although it’s still possible we have some private collectors out there). It is much more complete than say Correspondance inédit de Camille Desmoulins (1836) where the publisher only included letters deemed to ”present any historical interest,” while giving many others away to obscure friends. Michon truly took everything he could lay his hands on. Some letters are merely summarized while others are simply mentioned but then not cited. But these are always referenced to places many of which can be accessed online today, for example jstor, Papiers inédits trouvés chez Robespierre and other correspondences.The exceptions are unpublished letters that remain in the archives.

All that said, I don’t really know if I would say we have that many personal letters from Robespierre, if by ”personal” we mean letters that reveal things regarding his own personal/private life rather than his public/political one. Otherwise, every letter could could technically be called personal since they reveal Robespierre’s personal view on what’s currently going on.

The two oldest letters we have are from 1778, while Robespierre’s still at college. In the first one he’s asking abbé Proyart to see the bishop of Arras for him, since he lacks a tailcoat to present himself in, and in the the other he’s asking the eminent lawyer Jean-Baptiste Mercier-Dupaty to serve as some sort of mentor for him as he’s starting his law studies. So not that personal and already mostly work related.

For his time spent as a lawyer, we have five letters that are work related, but also six which are a bit more personal. The first one is from January 1782 and is adressed to one mademoiselle Duhay, whom Robespierre thanks for giving him a cage of canaries:

”Apropos of such a serious object, Mademoiselle, may I be permitted to speak of canaries! These canaries are without a doubt interesting... and how could they not considering they come from you? They are very pretty; we expected that being raised by you they would still be the sweetest the most sociable of all canaries. What was our surprise when, approaching their cage, we saw them rush against the bars with an impetuosity that made us fear for their lives! And this is the game they start over every time they see the hand that feeds them. What plan of education have you adopted for them, and whence comes their savage character?”

There’s also a letter dated 1783 and adressed to ”a lady,” by Michon identified as Charlotte Buissart, a close friend of Robespierre and his siblings. In it, Robespierre talks about a trip to Carvin and recounts many anecdotes regarding his stay, among others this one:

”Since we arrived, every moment has been filled with pleasures. Since last Saturday, I have been stuffing myself with tarts. Fate placed my bed in the room where the patisseries are kept; this exposes me to the temptation of eating all night long, but I determined that it is good to control one’s passions and slept amid these seductive objects.”

Once he moves to Paris, I would say there’s a single letter that’s not mainly work related, and it’s dated February 15 1793 and adressed to Danton, offering him condolences over the death of his wife. Most common are the letters written between Maximilien, Augustin and Antoine Buissart, husband of the previously mentioned Charlotte Buissart, but the revolution is the subject which these letters with 95% covers, with some sentimental phrases thrown in here and there (”Testify, I beg you, to Madame Buissart, all my respectful attachment and the regrets that the circumstances which deprive me for a long time of her presence cause me”, ”I pick up my pen rather to give you a mark of my inviolable friendship, which you are not permitted to doubt, than to enjoy an ongoing conversation with you.” ”I supped the day with Pétion. With what joy we saw each other again! With what delight we embraced!” etc)

Curiously, we don’t have any letters written from Maximilien to Charlotte or Augustin, nor can I find an example of him telling Buissart to say hello from him to them. Charlotte does however claim in her memoirs that the siblings frequently corresponded, so if she’s telling the truth there those letters have either been destroyed or gone missing. Perhaps they contained more private details…

There are some letters that are work related but with a personal touch, such as when Robespierre writes to a sick Couthon telling him about the political situation and at the same time saying he impatiently waiting for news regarding his health, or when he asks a newly-wedded Desmoulins to announce a speech he’s sent to him, writing that ”neither the beautiful eyes nor the fine qualities of charming Lucile” are reasons for not doing it.

After his entrance to the CPS it would appear Robespierre stops writing any letters outside of the committee ones, so not a very personal area.

Even if we don’t have that many personal letters per se, we do have some private papers found at Robespierre’s place after his death. These include among other things a list of patriots deemed to have ”more or less talent”, notes on deputies he considers ”suspect” and a ”catechism” on how to solve the internal and external war situation. These are of course still work related, but it’s still material that allows us to enter the private mind of Robespierre, and something that doesn’t exist for many other French revolutionaires.

How Genshin Impact characters would react to someone flirting with you || (Mondstadt)

Hey everyone! I'll be doing these for the characters in Genshin Impact! There will be 3 parts, this one is for Mondstadt, the second one will be on Liyue and the third one will be on the other nations (〃ﾟ3ﾟ〃), although Liyue wil most likely have 2 or more parts because I have a lot of characters I'd love to do and unfortunately, I do not have enough time to write of all of them in a day ಥ‿ಥ

Since his breath reeked of alcohol and you did what any sensible person would do, put one of your hands up to your nose to cover it.

Diluc notices this immediately and started walking over to you two.

"Do we have a problem here?"

The dude who tried to kiss you nearly shat their pants after seeing Diluc and left before he could even adress them.

"Do not trouble yourself about him y/n. The next time he comes he will be paying 500 mora for assult and he will be apologizing to you in person. "

As much as he flirts with other girls he hates it when he sees someone being a little too close for comfort with you (Hypocrite, I know)

He's not insecure (Obviously) but seeing you with someone else just makes him want to drop kick whoever it is that you're talking to

People would normally don't attempt to flirt with you because they know that you're dating the Calvary Captain but there's ways an occasional traveler who has no idea how things work around Mondstadt

You awkwardly giggle, trying not to cringe. Lord Barbatos knows how long it has been since somebody other than Kaeya had tried to flirt with you.

"It was nice meeting you, but I have some work to finish at the Headquarters." You blurted out as a ditch attempt to get away.

Though, much to your dismay; the daring traveler grabbed your wrist and pulled you back to him.

"Damn, that's harsh. Not even a kiss goodbye, beautiful?"

You desperately pushed yourself away from him, obviously trying to get away.

Some people have started staring at you two by now and your face was red and tears were threatening to spill out of your eyes.

Luckily for you, Kaeya was amongst the staring people and had started walking towards you two.

Cryo vision at the ready.

Kaeya pulled you away from the traveler to behind him.

The atmosphere around him felt cold and threatening. Like that of the storm that once loomed over Mondstadt.

"Greetings from the Knights of Favonious kind Sir, we received a notice that a new Traveler came into the city and we need you at the Headquarters to confirm some... things with you." He informed the traveler with a fake cheery tone.

Even if you couldn't see his face you could sense his signature sadistic smirk by the aura that was surrounding him.

"I didn't do anything to him. He's just a little cold! That's why he's shivering. Isn't that right Traveler?"

Albedo 👨‍🔬📝

He's always busy with lab work, so he's not going to let anyone ruin anything on the rare occasions that you two go out

Always straight to the point

Since he's the Head Alchemist at the Knights of Favonious, he knows he isn't going to get into much trouble if he just decides to give the other person a taste of his punch

He usually wouldn't resort to such 'violent' actions on your date but if the other person is asking for it he knows you don't mind

"This one is on me." The waiter at Good Hunter said with a wink as he put some wolf hook juice in front of you on the table.

You shifted in your seat and Albedo instantly noticed your discomfort.

"We appreciate the gift but, can you please give this to another table? " Albedo stated as he glared at the waiter.

"Not even a thank you from the lady? " The waiter asked in a disappointed tone.

You both knew the waiter wasn't going to drop it so you and Albedo left and had a picnic on Starsnatch Cliff.

Honestly, you both enjoyed the cliff better and it became one of your favorite dating spots.

"This scenery is almost as beautiful as you, my love."

Jean is basically second Diluc

Doesn't mind if anyone flirts with you, but will step in if she sees that you are uncomfortable

Being Acting Grandmaster has its privileges (not that she'd actually use them, she just threatens people with it.)

"Come on babygirl, not even a kiss?" The creep said as you fastened your pace.

In your honest opinion, 7 am in the morning is way too f-ing early to be dealing with creeps.

If the creep wasn't as drunk as he was right now, he would probably have noticed that you were walking towards the Knights' Headquarters.

He didn't really realise where he was until he saw Jean herself standing next to you.

Almost instantly, he sobered up. He apologized to both you and Jean.

Even if his apologies didn't save him from spending the whole day in jail, the month of community service and 500 Mora fine Jean sentenced him, they were appreciated (kind of.)

"Following a woman around while making offensive remarks is a very serious offense, even though it was at 7 am in the morning while you were drunk. Although I can let you off the hook if y/n here agrees with letting you go with no punishment whatsoever. "

She's the same as Jean and Diluc

The only difference is that she'd use her vision to electrocute and humiliate the person in public

Lisa's method of getting rid of creeps is amazing.

You thought to yourself as you relished in the fact that it's been a whole month since you've last seen a creep come up to you.

You walk by the tavern, getting stares from drunk men. But most of them adverted their gaze once they realized who you were.

For those who didn't, their friends or anyone from a table nearby would chuck their gaze to their feet and tell them the supposed 'rumours' of Lisa using her vision on anyone who looked at you funny.

"See? I told you shocking them would work. Honestly, I should do it to every creep in Mondstadt. "

eep this is adorable 🥺 i def want overboard cuz it’s pretty long uh

“love, you getting in?” tom calls to you from the living room, phone propped up in front of him. “yeah, one sec!” you yell back and join him on the couch. he puts an arm around your shoulders with a kiss to the side of your head. you lean into him more, his fingers running up and down your arm. “you sure you’re ready to do this, hm? we don’t have to,” he says quietly.

it wouldn’t be an understatement to say the entire world has been buzzing about yours and tom’s possible relationship for months already. a few out of context paparazzi pictures sparked the rumors. tom held you protectively by his side while you headed to the car after dinner one night. the moment was captured along with a few other intimate ones as time went on.

there was so much speculation, fans scowering the internet for your social media, trying to figure out who you were and how you knew tom. they’d come up with the wildest theories not just about you two, but about you only. some funny, some creepy, some just completely untrue. you’d come to a point where you wanted to set the record straight.

tom didn’t have any intentions of going public at first. this was exactly why. he already didn’t like what people were saying about you, so he couldn’t and refused to imagine how it would be if he confirmed you’re together. he’d thought he was doing what was best for you until you asked him to break the news to everyone.

he was skeptical of doing so, not wanting to put that attention on you because his experiences haven’t been so great, but you assured him over and over again you wanted this. tom eventually gave in and made a post with a caption the length of an essay to tell everyone about your relationship. he’d only hit post after you read it over and approved everything, of course.

today, you’re going live with him so his fans can get to know you a bit better.

“i’m okay, baby. i think you’re more nervous than i am,” you laugh out and give his cheek a quick peck. “probably. gonna have to learn to share my girl with the world,” tom sighs, keeping his arm tight around you as he leans forward. “they’ll want to steal you away from me.” “other way around, i think,” you retort. he’s forgetting he’s the internationally loved one.

“not after this.” he glances over at you so you lock eyes. “can i start the live?” “go for it,” you agree and watch him press the button. it connects a few seconds later, tom exhaling as he sits back again. going live in general always makes him anxious. having you here, subjecting you to the possible wrath of his followers, spikes his anxiety even more.

you put a calming hand on his knee, which he smiles at. you’re okay, he’s alright, you’ll both be fine. tens of thousands of people flood the live at once. the numbers grow right before your eyes, so much that it’s intimidating. “woah,” you mutter, earning a chuckle from tom. the comments don’t take long to start coming in.

everyone is saying your name in all caps and keyboard smashing. tom likes to wait a little before officially starting, giving himself some time to figure out what to say and things. he grins at you in his camera, you furrowing your eyebrows back. “hey guys,” tom begins as casually as usual. he purposely ignores all the comments yelling at him to explain himself.

he loves messing with the poor people.

“how’s everyone’s day going? we’re great, having a blast over here,” he carries on, pulling you in closer to his chest. “oh, you’re funny,” you mumble and pat his knee. your head is resting on his shoulder while you read the comments from your lopsided angle.

“they’re telling me to talk. should i talk?” you jokingly ask for tom’s permission. “rather you than me,” tom mumbles and presses his lips to your forehead briefly. that sparks more hearts and way more questions. you sit up again to properly adress the half a million people watching you. it’s a fuck ton, definitely not as many as you’d expected.

you’re that popular, huh?

“jeez, there’s a lot of you in here. this is terrifying,” you gasp at the thought, turning to tom. “how do you do this?” “rarely,” he replies and bites back another smile. “i get so stressed.” adjusting yourself so you’re sitting criss cross, you raise your hands in defense. “no, i have too much power right now. i don’t like it.”

“you sound like thanos,” tom decides, bursting into a fit of giggles when you shove at his arm. you then kiss your hand and tap his cheek with it to make up. his skin is warm. “anyways. i guess i’ll, like, introduce myself? i’m y/n.” the fans are cracking up at you two, others dropping the soft eyes emoji. tom makes that same face at you in real time.

“that’s about it. um,” you let out a laugh. “i don’t know. thanks for having me and being pretty nice so far.” he keeps gazing at you while you link your arm in his, your head on his shoulder again. “keep being nice because tom will cry or something if you aren’t.” he’s looking at you with literal heart eyes, a small smile on his lips, listening to your every word.

“seriously though, i hope you guys like me. you seem pretty cool. we-“ you cut yourself off when more comments than earlier spam the screen. “what happened?” you pick up tom’s phone to read them. they alert you of his heart eyes, so you put his phone back down and see for yourself. his small smile becomes a toothy one.

“aw, tommy,” you coo, rubbing your nose against his, tom pecking your lips. “doing good, love.” he can’t help himself. he doesn’t have to anymore. everyone starts shouting iterations of she called him tommy and they kissed, but you’re both caught up in each other at the moment.

Why do people keep on saying that Paxton and Devi can’t end up together because that would mean another hot popular guy who treated her bad get’s the girl again.... That’s basically what this season, especially his episode, tried to tell us. That guys like that often get labelled as only that. Because they’re hot nothing else should be expected from them. It’s kinda like reversed body-shaming and I’m glad this season adressed that. I’m just a bit sad that the point didn’t really come across since people still think it’s only about his looks.

Paxton was really trying. He always stood up to Devi in S01, never really bullied her like Ben did. Ok Devi has had a crush on him since forever and it has all to do with his look but last season and especially this season she really got to know him. They even were friends and she still liked him. So it’s not all about the looks.

Paxton not wanting to PDA them in the end was perfectly understandable. I mean it took him only a WEEK from them kissing to him saying he wanted to be her boyfriend. It took me 2 months to ask my girlfriend if she wanted to go public and be my girlfriend. lol. Give the guy some slack. Devi really hurtled him, made him unsure of everything he once was.

And it’s not like Devi herself is a sweet angel. She has done some horrible things this and last season. Used Paxton for a rumour and cheated on him, so I think considering he definitely isn’t the evil guy just because he’s popular, hot and a man. They both did things wrong and are both sorry for them. And I really hope we’ll be able to explore them more and this storyline. It doesn’t have to be a cliche.

As for Ben and Devi, I see what they’re trying to do but I just don’t feel it... except for the kinda forced longing looks I feel like they’re better as friends. I kinda get a brother/sister vibe hahaha. I know it’s more than that but that’s just how I feel.

And I hate how Ben is been labelled as the “good guy”, I mean he’s done horrible things. Bullied her, and others. He’s jealous, often bragging (i mean the scene were Devi said everything that annoys here about Ben was spot on, get out of my head giiiiirllll). He was even pretty upset when Aneesa ruined his chances of winning the trial. Good thing he didn’t act on it but I find this pretty problematic. He’s also such a hypocrite. I mean in S1 he cheated on his girlfriend with Devi and he broke up with her and then like 5 minutes later he asked Devi to be his girlfriend. DOUCHE. Yet he never got any shit about that and instead he plays the biggest victim in the triangle storyline. I just-- ugh. Also, stop bleaching your teeth. #Rossgeller. But I go think his relationship with Aneesa kinda felt more natural. He just works better in the no-drama department I feel. And I think with Devi it’s maybe too much drama and more insecurities. Idk. I just feel like there really isn’t a “better” guy here.

Anyways overall I thought this season got really good. Loved Paxton’s episode with Gigi as a voiceover. It was only fair that we got to know his storyline as well.

Loved Devi and her mom. And I loved how they called Devi out on all her bad behaviour and linked it to the hurt she’s feeling. That’s so relatable and really good writing. Got me all emo!

Also yay for the LGBTQ+ storlyines and characters and how it all got handled.

Wouldn't the Zeti be inspired by J-pop groups since they are inspired by Japanese oni? But I'm curious, In j-pop/k-pop group they have fan favorites. So, who's the most popular to the least popular in the group? What is their reaction to popularity?

I get the logic, but what I wanted to showcase with the D6 in the Music AU was a foreign (in this case Zeti) group showing up on the Mobian music scene ; and the public and other artists' reaction to their sudden popularity… Pretty much the same way westerners reacted to K-Pop becoming big internationally. J-Pop is popular in Japan but doesn't branch out internationally all that much, with a few exceptions. That's why I'm basing D-6 on a K-Pop band rather than J-Pop.

As for fan favorites! Lost Hex Records holds popularity polls about twice a year and the results have been largely the same since the group's debut, except for the top 2 spots.

-Zavok is dead last. A lot of the younger fans tend to find him too serious at best and too intimidating at worst. He's popular with the older fans who appreciate his charisma, but he's still salty about being fifth. He's trying to appear more friendly but uh... It's still a work in progress...

-Zomom is fourth. A lot of fans find him cute in a very innocent and childish kind of way and send him candy in their fan mail. However, he's sometimes a bit too childish for some fans' taste. He also doesn't do that much singing ; only back up and the occasional beatboxing, which explains the lack of popularity. He's fine with this though. He gets free candy and at least he's not dead last...

-Zeena is third. Fans were very divided about her when the group debuted ; especially as D-6 was and still is refered to as a boys band ; but she has ascended in popularity since then. She's the most outgoing of the five, making far more public appearances than them and often stepping down from the stage during shows to get closer to fans- or at least as close as the stage barriers will let her. -Zazz and Zor are, without a shadow of a doubt, the two fan favorites. One of them alone will typically have twice as many votes as Zavok, Zomom and Zeena combined in popularity polls. As for who is actually number 1, they swap places almost every poll with just a handful of votes in difference.

Zazz's rebelious looks have wooed many fans, and his comedic antics both on stage and during interviews have won him the approval of many more. At least once per show he will comedically trip over himself, only to catch himself at the last minute and stick the landing in an impressive fashion. It's all planned in advanced but still hilarious to watch and there are many compilations online. Something that isn't scripted, however, are his many goofs during interviews. Zavok gets very nervous anytime there's a mic near Zazz.

Zor is quite the opposite. He's quiet and barely ever speaks up during interviews unless directly adressed. The more introverted fans of the band relate to him a lot. A smaller portion of fans supposedly find his dark brooding attractive and have developped a very "I could fix him" mindset, leading to many a fiery love declarations. Said declarations are always met with "I'm ace, but thanks", before someone else changes the topic. This kind of polite of polite but no nonsense answer is another thing fans love about Zor.

Still, both Zazz and Zor greatly enjoy their fame and try to use it to hype up the other band members to the rest of their fanbase.

Something I've wanted to adress to Tumblr for a while about the way they've handled MCYT, sometimes very poorly and misinformed.

1. MCYT is a GIANT category

MCYT literally stands for Minecraft YouTube. This applies to LITERALLY ANYONE WHO HAS EVER POSTED A MINECRAFT VIDEO! Hermitcraft? Mcyt. Dream smp? Mcyt. Any lets player or game focused channel who's played Minecraft in a single video or series? Mcyt. Old channels who stopped posting Minecraft years ago like yogscast and skydoesminecraft? Mcyt. Random 13 year old posting a video on their phone? MCYT. Are there bad apples in that group? Yes, but don't let that take away from the thriving communities and wonderful creators also on the platform, many of which content creation is their job and source of income.

2. MCC (Minecraft champions)

Mcc is a completely non profit event designed solely for entertainment with preassigned teams. If you don't like a player being grouped with another, or hate a single player in the event, don't try to drag the whole event down with it. This is, in all honesty, an awe inspiring event. One tournament can have more viewers than the OLYMPICS, and have had tournaments where all procedes from streamers go to charity. Dismissing or hating the event for one individual goes against the good and the wonder such an event has created.

3. Dream smp, and the lack of information and respect it is given.

A lot of people complain "it's just a bunch of chist white men" which is both 1. Disrespect and 2. Objectively wrong. This actively disregards any female (ninachu, captain puffy, etc), LGBTQ (eret, antfrost, ninachu, etc), and minority (skeppy, ponk, quackity, etc) content creators. Additionally, a vast majority of the content creators heavily support their communities, especially their lgbtq fans, like philza, tommyinnit, and technoblade. These people have made a community where channels have grown exponentially (some even appearing on the news!), communities have flourished (theres a reason it is usually the one that glitches into 1st place on trending, hell, full songs and multi millions view animatics exist on YouTube), and friends have been made both in the server and the community, all of this without even mentioning the hard work put into the server's story and events.

4. Dream, and his impact on mcyt...

I'll preface this by saying: i don't personally like dream as a person. I disagree with his political opinions and he has done and said messed up things. If we are talking about his impact on mcyt though? He's an (unfortunately) vital player. His large subscriber and viewer count helped not only revive minecraft for the general public, but actively helped and continues to help grow the channels of the people he plays with (the dream team, all dream smp members, any mcc team mates, etc). His precense in videos also MASSIVELY increases success by nearly every recordable statistic for anyone who joins his server (ranboo, philza, ponk, quackity, technoblade, etc etc etc), many of which had a significantly lower subscriber and viewer count before the smp. The same can be said for events he's in, such as mcc. Finally, his role in the dream smp. He's by no means a main character, hell, he's not only the main villain, but has been locked in the servers prison for months now with maybe an appearance in a stream once every month or 2. Additionally, he never streams specifically to avoid taking away the spotlight from other creators in the server. Do I agree with a lot of the things he's said or done? No. Do I think his wrongdoings should drag down a large group of extraordinary talented players and content creators, all of which part of one connected story they all put together with love and care, with a massive wonderful community full of loving and talented individuals? Absolutely not.

Basically, all the "dream smp fans don't interact" should be "dream stans and apologists don't interact" or something along those lines, dont drag down a whole community due to one bad apple, especially when half of them dont even know about or like said bad apple.

(Also side note i didn't know where to put. The fact it occasionally glitches out BLM and SAH is bullshit, but don't pretend that it's a MCYT exclusive thing. Shows and movies, video games, sports, and irl events have all taken it's place due to the glitchy unoptimized way tumblr pins those topics. In my opinion those 2 should have a whole separate page or area so they can't ever be unpinned via any large event like they currently do every day or 2. Tumblr thrives of of fandoms and the interactions in said fandoms (why supernatural, undertale, the lorax, etc. Became associated with tumblr to a degree), causing them to lose traction and feel out of place in a "trending tab" format, also fixing the "it glitching out of trending" issue.)

(Also you don't have to but please share this so more people know this and learn, lot of missinformatuon and straight up lies are spread about mcyt as a whole, commonly on blw and sah for some reason? Not blaming them at all, just a trend I've noticed)

End: the culprit tries to psychologically fuck with everyone, but Athena stays strong, maybe uses some noise cancelling headphones, and corners the SHIT out of them

In Khura’in

Starts small- like a robbery, which leads to an attempt on Thalassa’s life. Again

Athena gets to therapy her

Then someone high-profile actually fucking dies

Athena (co-council Apollo) vs FINAL BOSS FRANZISKA

Lots of investigating with them

Talk about space center and grief

The twist: a person with low emotional output is framed, but they are innocent because LOWER EMOTIONAL REACTIONS DOESN’T MAKE YOU FUCKING EVIL

The other twist: Bring in 7-2 framed person for a character witness, show that they’re innocent. Athena is panicking because of Fear(?) so Apollo is determined to Do Something, and points out how this only happened because the system is Stupid and calls Klavier and Trucy

BECAUSE:

At the same time, there’s a stateside investigation. some botched, continued interreference at the Space Station

Klavier can pull an Edgeworth and investigate with Trucy

Klavier talks about Apollo a lot, Trucy calls him out on it

Nahyuta is prosecuting this case

Depending on the relations between Klavier and Nahyuta established in 7-4, this will be hilarious or disastrous

Protective Yuty route: makes scathing comments about petty parts of Klavier- a petty-off

Teasing Yuty route: brings it up whenever Klavier talks about Apollo. Rlly funny banter. Klavier showing more human emotions sprites!!

Because the cases go to trial simultaneously, the comment about the wrong conviction in 7-2 can be brought to the Japanifornian courts by Klavier and Trucy
