maybe this is a hot take but i do wonder if the initial gnarlrock incident, following argument, and (imo) anticlimactic and almost complete brushing off of that conflict occurring between Imogen and Laudna had actually led to a real conversation about Delilah/her influence and Imogen and Laudna's relationship in general (pre-established romance) would have made discussing Delilah later in the campaign easier

So I'm actually watching vox machina for the first time in full (after researching the major story beats and reveals for my mighty nein watch knowledge and watching tlovm) and I already do not agree that any of vox machina would. immediately turn down laudna's resurrection even if they knew about delilah.
because cassandra looked them in the eye and said she was a briarwood and percy—soul still caught in a battle with the entity he sold it to for this very purpose, to end the briarwoods and take his revenge—was the one to stop grog from killing her. because vax took him aside one day and told him, if he lost control, if he put vex or any of the others in danger, he would kill him. and percy gave him his blessing.
because vex took percy's face in her hands as he was losing control, and calmly told him to take off his mask. because keyleth stood by percy's side and kept him straight, worried and argued and stressed and maintained the throughline of good that she knew exists in him. because percy trusted pike enough to ask her, genuinely, what he looked like. and because she saw his deal and cast no judgement and healed him.
even throwing aside the fact that they will see the familiar devastation in bells hells of losing a friend, throwing aside that particular brand of empathy...I think even more than that they understand the power of simply staying by someone's side in their darkness. they know first hand what keeping someone in the light takes, and I think they'll take one look at bells hells and know that they have what it takes to keep laudna safe.

btw i still can't believe laudna's ears were forcefully cut into the shape of a half-elf's and then laudna made golden cuffs to wear over them and then vex saw the cuffs when she was cradling laudna in her arms. marisha ray that was so fucked up of you (affectionate)

I find it hilarious how in the truth exercise Ashton basically went 'I worry constantly that one of us will snap and kill another of us, except for Orym, Orym is chill he wouldn’t do that' only for Orym seconds later to go 'I have contingency plans for how to kill every single one of you'
Truly there is no one more dangerous than the only sensible person in a party of wildcards because no one will ever expect them to be the one to stab you in the back

in this episode Imogen:
Took off her circlet. You know, that one that finally gave her peace and quiet, that soothed her constant pain and anxiety, and that gave her the confidence and energy to get back to fully feeling comfortable on her own skin after years. That’s the one. She just took it off.
Told laudna that she was disgusted by the fact that delilah was always watching them. You know, something that laudna fully has no control over whatsoever.
Admitted that she felt like she’s “tainted” and that the gods have been ignoring her for her entire life, in spite of her trying over and over to reach them. So she doesn’t really want to save them.
Mentioned being genuinely scared of meeting Liliana again. Totally not a problem, I’m sure nothing bad will happen there. Specially not in the next couple of episodes.
Said some unfair stuff to fearne, that I genuinely think is coming from somewhere else entirely, and I hope we circle back to eventually.
It’s safe to say that I am officially ✨worried✨ about the farmgirl

imogen saying “we have to figure it out… maybe we can go back to jrusar and find laudna and ashton and orym, and… and then we can all go together…” and chet saying “I would love for them to be there, but that whole event sent us halfway across the world.” and imogen, saying with increased desperation, “yeah, but we’re finding a way back! we’re finding a way back, chet! maybe they could find a way back too! maybe they weren’t sent as far, maybe – maybe… it’s just so close, it doesn’t make sense to not go and at least try!” (bonus: F.R.I.D.A. putting a hand on her shoulder)

It's Marisha Ray's birthday, so some more Southern Gothic from Wondercon just seems appropriate. Also we have so many photos to share still 😍

Orym spending ten minutes finding the magical lens that Fearne was presumably traded for, Ashton going "can I see it?" and then immediately smashing it, and then Laudna emotionally going "why are there always so many broken rocks..........." really. captures an essence of the Bells, doesn't it. dont know WHICH KIND of essence, but it sure captures it.
