Look, I'm usually all for headcanons but like- she literally chose to LEAVE HEAVEN because she loved him that much😭
And demons and celestials HATED eachother, why would there be an arranged/forced wedding between them?? There was an entire flashback of them meeting where they fell in love ON THE BATTLE FEILD???
PIF dedicated 500 years of her life to getting him back after he was sealed away.
THE PICTURE OF THEM IN THIS POST IS LITERALLY ONE OF THEIR SOFTEST MOMENTS TOGETHER.

Prompt (if taking them] Lady Iron Fan decides to show that she reciprocated Demon Bull King's interest by courtnapping him. The Brotherhood (especially Azure Luon) thinks its a normal kidnapping/act of war.
"You know, my brothers will think this is an act of war."
"Oh, really?" The beautiful woman hummed, setting down the jug and passing over the goblet of wine. DBK was almost charmed, except for the fact that he was still tied to his chair and couldn't pick it up.
No, actually, he was charmed. He had always imagined that he would be the one doing this, excluding the tying to a chair. That was just rude.
"Do you think this is an act of war?" Princess Iron Fan said, drawing his attention back. It wasn't hard, considering the fact that she was a gorgeous woman, even more beautiful when she was committing acts of violence.
"I mean, you do have the wrong atmosphere for such a thing." The room was set up with red and lavender furniture and soft candles. A delicious feast had been laid out, and the pink dress she wore was long and flowing, not meant for battle. "But you could be trying to lower my guard with that eyesore of a dress."
Her smile disappeared. "What's wrong with my dress."
Oh no. "I mean, nothing's wrong! I just think you would look good in purple- no, no. That would be wrong. That would dull your eyes." DBK leaned his face up, away from her furrowed brows and the droop of her lips, to think. "My friend, the Six-Eared Macaque, once gave this long lecture about costume design. The color of the fabric is important when accenting features...uh..." To be fair, DBK had kinda tuned out in the middle and most of that lecture had been aimed at Peng, who had ruined a very nice bolt of fabric Wukong had gotten Macaque as a gift. "Your eyes are a wonderful shade of amber and you have gorgeous dark curls..."
"Really?" The anger had faded from her voice now. "What do you think of them?"
"I mean, gold would accent your everything very nicely since it would match your eyes." DBK tried to think of what color would match her best, but now he was thinking of her just in gold jewelry, which was a very nice thought but very distracting. "But your hair is enough of a draw of its own. It would just need a statement piece. Anything else would drown out your beauty in gaudiness- oh! Red! That is what you would look best in-"
A soft laugh broke through his thoughts. DBK looked down to see the princess cover her mouth, but not enough to hide a beautiful smile. When her giggles came to an end, she looked up. "You are very charming, your Majesty. Are you like this to every girl you meet?"
"No. I mean, I've only ever been like that with Wukong, and he was less charmed."
Iron Fan shrugged. "I can't blame you for trying. He's very pretty."
"So are you."
She leaned against the table and smiled at him. "So are you. By the way, your brothers are trying to break down the door."
DBK blinked. Oh yeah. "Should I go talk to them so we can have dinner in peace?"
"No," Iron Fan's magic hummed, and then she had her distinct fan in hand. "It will give me a chance to change. I have a very lovely red dress in my trunk."
He couldn't wait.

I had a spicynoodles idea last night
It's basically just them in Tangled
LBD is Mother Gothal obvi, MK is Rapunzal and Red Son is Flynn.
Maybe Mei can be Pascal but a tiny dragon instead? Or she's Maximas but badass horse dragon.
King and Queen(I don't think they have names) can is Shadowpeach.
Suggestion from @frikijedai, Freenoodles run the ugly duckling bar place, and I really like that.
I think it also works with Red Son as Rapunzal and MK as Flynn but Red Son doesn't seem like the type to take LBD's bs as much. He does have the hair for it tho
Important Update!
I'm going with the Red Son as Rapunzal version, @py-dreamer had some really good ideas + I get to draw Red Son with really long, fluffy hair.
MK works good as Flynn because he can fit Flynn's story pretty well, an orphan inspired by a popular character in a story he told all the other kids and makes a new image for himself based on that hero.
Mei is a smol dragon that is constantly teasing the boys, she's kinda like the dragon from the Barbie Rapunzal movie, maybe she can turn into a humanoid form but prefers or is stuck in ity bity dragon form.
LBD definitely knows about Mei here but since she's very smol and seemingly insignificant, LBD doesn't give a shit about her, + she keeps Red Son from bugging her too much.
Freenoodles still run the ugly duckling tavern/restaurant thing like in the suggestion from @frikijedai.
The Mayor is still LBD's assistant, I thought about him being the small old man from the tavern but nah.
This isn't strictly sticking to the Tangled story, it's more Tangled + fairytale inspired AU, it has the same major plot points but the details are a bit different.
Red Son's power does not come from his hair, he has the power in him. His hair will glow and hest up when he says the incantation, and he can send the fire through it + it catches fire when he gets too emotional. So his hair is a better weapon cause it can burn people. If it gets cut its very flammable.
MK is still a monkey.

So, another LMK fic prompt for spicynoodles (Also Chimerashipping)
PIF watching Red Son and MK fight and being like ‘why is this…familiar?’ only to release that she recognises the conflicted look on MK’s face because she remembers being on the other side against a demon and falling in love and being conflicted about feelings.
She wants to be angry because no way this brat is not good enough for red, he’s a thief, he’s Sun Wukongs successor, SUN FUCKING WUKONG IS BASICALLY HIS DAD. Nope! No way! We are not having him as an in law!
Except she keeps watching the battles and keeps getting nostalgic and relating way too much with MK, and the sees Red enjoying spending time with him and decides fuck it.
You know what I had that annoying good guy faze once I’m sure he’ll get over it and Red likes him, plus if he marries into our family then we do technically still possess Wukongs staff… so win-win.
Just PIF being overly supportive and sure MK will grow out his good guy faze in a few hundred years or so, they’ve got time.
Just DBK and Red Son doing their dramatic villain speeches while MK and PIF just watch their idiots be dramatic with heart eyes.
BONUS Chimerashipping
Where PIF also sees Mei giving the heart eyes to RS and like ‘Two heroes…. Honestly kind of impressed well done son’
Also, her seeing Mei with controlling family/expectations and instantly relating due to heavenly court and is just like ‘Welcome to the family’ instantly.

HC that Red Son and DBK both hate ball and chain "jokes".
Like, neither of them understand why you would make a joke like that if you loved your partner. Why would you marry them if you felt trapped in it?! In DBK's opinion, marrying Iron Fan was one of the best days of his life!
At least one bridal store gets destroyed if Red marries Qi Xiaotian and/or Long Xiaojiao bc some idiot decided it would be funny to crack one of those jokes.

I don't ship it, but imagine macaque post breakup joining the bullfan couple, and all of them being too akward to tell red son that Mac is the boyfriend. And they are incredibly bad at hiding it (especially when dbk is back from the mountain) but red son never notices it

Oh my gosh, I totally ship this now. Macaque would fit in so well between Iron Fan and DBK haha
Red Son would notice that Macaque moves into the fortress, but yeah he definitely doesn’t notice that the monkey is now in a romantic relationship with both his parents! He probably just has too much respect for his parents to assume something like that, and unless they explicitly tell him, it literally wouldn’t even cross his mind.. even when he walks in and finds his parents snuggling with Macaque sandwiched between them. He’s just like, “oh, I’m glad my parents have reunited with such a good friend.”
Mei is definitely dying to tell him that his parents are fucking the monkey 😂
