Headcanon time!

Edit: Rosie lived and died around the 1890s. She engaged herself with Women Suffrage and was probably a very popular within her social group. She was married to a man, until she had enough of him and killed him. She turned him into stew, or at least tried to before she was caught. She was sentenced to death by hanging. Her last words was probably something about how bad her husband tasted.

I tried to portray (what I think are) their biggest flaws (Ego, envy, esteem)

Also, I tried to show more about their flaws with their eye levels

Void believes he's better than everyone, looking down upon them.

Andromeda sees Stellar at eye level, seeing her as an equal, or a reflection of what her life could've been if she was saved.

Polarity is looking down at himself, feeling he's worthless when compared to his more able siblings, despite being the one who tries the hardest.

How long was it between when Iroh convinced Zuko to take up the Fire Throne, and Sozin's comet? A day? Less??

AU where Iroh convinces Zuko to be the next Fire Lord MUCH earlier in the series. Zuko, who hasn't been in formal education since was 13yo, understandably panics. He barely remembers his lessons on How To Be the Fire Lord, and they were all focused on how to rule during wartime. Not peace. What does an international peace treaty even LOOK like and how does one go about making it???? How does trade work when you're NOT trying to eradicate every other nation????

Book 3 Zuko spends all of his time teaching Aang firebending, interrogating the other members about their culture's traditions and politics, going on Blue Spirit journeys to raid any passing libraries, and reading everything he can get his hands on. He barely eats. He doesn't sleep. He's info dumping about the DRIEST political texts. The gaang are THIS close to holding an intervention or having Toph sit on him until he sleeps.

so who's here up for the hc that aziracrow went to a victorian wedding as a couple in the 1810s bc crowley was presenting fem at the time (she was curious abt the dresses) and women couldn't go without chaperone to parties like that (crowley could've easily miracled everyone there to let her in alone but she wanted to pretend for a few hours that she was aziraphale's so she made some excuses abt performing too many miracles lately and aziraphale was more than happy to go anyway) so crowley invited aziraphale and was screaming internally the whole time (aziraphale was just enjoying the wedding, completely oblivious.)

It’s too bad the Hamatos can’t go almost anywhere in the Hidden City without getting banned from a place or committing a crime or being blamed for a crime and then banned from a place because the Hidden City must contain a treasure trove of basic items that would help their specific mutations. I like to imagine that they sometimes do manage to go a day without too much incident to get some of these items.

Like, special lotions for Yokai scales, brushes made especially for shelled humanoids, clothing made to fit their forms better, etc, etc. Even Splinter could probably find a lot of stuff for like fur and teeth care that’s hard to find above ground.

They’d gotten by more than well on their own, but there’s a certain luxury to be had for specially made stuff infused with all sorts of healing mystic properties as well. Imagine they all had aches and pains they’d just dealt with for years only to realize that oh wait…I don’t have to feel like this all the time?

Hc that Andrew knows everything you could ever want to know about classic lit. No one knows how he knows, since no ones ever seen him read, and Andrew refuses to clear things up. The truth is there was a small library in juvie, and while it wouldn't have been his first choice, the selection wasn't big enough for him to be choosy. It had a lot of classics because they were considered "educational" and Andrew had time to kill. He never lets anyone see him read (except when he's alone on the roof with Neil) because everyone insists on making a huge deal out of it whenever he does "normal" things, but he loves using dramatic quotes when the opportunity arises.

Anyway, here’s some background to Jax’s life and upbringing. Call it a headcanon or AU or whatever you feel is best

The purple rabbit individual later known as "Jax" to the circusgoers was born between 1973 and 1982 in Wabash, Indiana, to a Lutheran Protestant family of five, of which he was the middle child of two other brothers whom he got along well with. The family took only a nominal approach to religion to their children in terms of traditions passed down, something that their mother and father would, on occasion, regret doing whenever their sons got into trouble. The small family farm was agricultural in nature, rather than focused on livestock, producing mainly corn as well as carrots and other assorted produce. Due to Wabash’s town-city setting making for easy profit to farmers markets and other retailers, the family were decently well off, as far as single farm households went.

The “corn incident” as it is aptly called, refers to an instance in which the family dog - a Doberman Pinscher named “Bruno” - developed rabies, unbeknownst to the family. Jax and his brothers (ages 15, 17, and 19) stumbled upon the canine after it had killed a stray cat past the fencing. Upon seeing that their beloved pet had gone rabid, the three bolted in different directions through the family cornfield. The dog alternated between the three, causing a warped ironic twist on the game of cat and mouse - in which Jax had to hide from the beloved family dog-turned rabid mongrel, attempting to stifle his breathing over the sound of his pounding heart. For him, few things would terrify him more afterwards.

Though their father was able to regrettably put the dog down with relative ease once his boys eventually scampered out of the vegetative maze, the feeling of helplessness in the thick underbrush of the cornstalks never truly left Jax. Perhaps he developed a fear of mazes, rather than corn; but he never did go back into the cornfield again, much to the teasing of his brothers and chagrin of his folks, who were from then on one pair of hands short on that chore.

Eyes say a lot abt a person

Pretend it hasn't been like 6 months since I've posted here <3 also! Look under here for more specific hcs :] I considered doing these for other lmk characters one like and I'll do it (eventually) 😎

Wukong

-His eyes were gold when he was born, but after his time in the heavenly brazer they stayed red (this is jttw canon but isn't included in lmk 😔)

- I draw his eyebrows way shorter and w the same curl shape as his tightening headband- plus more spread out white patches from lbd

- The teal liner is purely for fun, it matches his outfit but! The smokey eye look is actually a little reference to the monkey king reborn movie, it's my fav part of that design

Macaque

- His eyes are a lot more narrow and sharp than Wukong's! The "liner" is purple the aesthetic is important to him ✋️

- The biggest part is definitely the scar I cannot TELL u how long that took me,,,the scar goes up into his hairline and warps the skin past the deepest points of trauma

- He didn't lose the eye entirely but the surface was likely ripped/damaged beyond the point of return so I do hc he's completely blind out of that side (minus perception of light/shadow)

I just noticed, in your HHStargazers AU no one has pupils - except for Alastor and, if she's canon, Carmilla. Does that mean slit pupils are a sign of a demon in disguise?

Good eye! 👈👈👀 (Pun unintended.) Though I don't really plan for this trait to be repeatedly shared amongst the disguised demons. Mostly to not limit my designs to an obvious tell. But the slit pupils were indeed intentional flaws I added in for those two in particular. Because according to MY headcanon, both angels and demons are beings beyond human comprehension. Thus, it's only to be expected that even when they TRY to fit in, they'll be unable to keep EVERY aspect of their uncanny nature concealed. At best, they're imperfect imitations of what "normal" should be. It just so happens that in my AU, angels have a much easier time concealing most of their little quirks and oddities away than the sinners for my own reasons and as for WHY no one ever grew suspicious of the eye thing, it's because Charlie's curiosity could be easily curved. While for Lucius to point this out, he'll have to admit that he's been staring at Alastor's eyes a lot whenever he gets close enough to drown in the depths of his gaze and- EHEM!!! Which he's NEVER done, mind you! AhahaHAH- What slit pupils??? Never noticed those before. Nuh-uh. NO siree. NOPE! Lucius is normally so, SO normal about Alastors VERY much normal eyes in a TOTALLY normal amount of normal. A-ANYWAAAYS!!! Lucius would also be a hypocrite if he was bothered by them considering his own occupation and the people he's usually surrounded by (yet to be revealed). As for the other humans, Alastor doesn't care enough about their opinions for it to be a threat to him and people often just avoid the guy unnerving them with his creepy ass stare. So it's all good! Me and my mom were talking about monkeys in general because i was actually very confused about the whole "if you smile, generally monkeys can see it as a sign of aggression" and she explained it to me

And other than the fact that it's a "sign of aggression" because generally showing the teeth can be used as something to show anger, my mom said this

"it all depends on the type of monkey, for example for chimpanzees your whole existence is aggressive for them, they'll snap you like a dry twig."

but also it dipends on the environment the animal grew up in, my cat could easily mistake my smile as a sign of aggression but dosen't because he grew up knowing how humans show emotions and can distinguish between them, a wild monkey for example can't know about it.

So this means that Sun Wukong won't actually find a smile aggressive, he grew up around humans and mortals and he can distinguish, but i like to think that sometimes he still does because he forgets, he did spent 500 years only around monkeys. And it's nature to him? Y'know.

and for Macaque? I like to think that he sees it as aggressive, that's it. No in-between. No "what if".

He smiles himself to show that he is not friendly, unlike wukong who does smile often to show that he is the opposite of aggressive, he makes sure not smile with his teeth with his monkeys though, his smile is way more intimidating than a human one.

thirteen really puts mc's death and the related angst into a new perspective... unless she tampers with their life candle, she's forced to watch as it slowly melts until the flame finally goes out. she'll likely be the first person to know of mc's death unless they're with others. but what will she do afterwards? will she get to handle their soul? will she let them go? will she keep them?

What type of books does everyone read?

Kai: Doesn't really read due to how much he struggles with it, but does enjoy a good adventure story

Jay: A bizarre combination of comic books, poetry compilations, graphic novels, and instruction manuals

Cole: Also not much of a reader, but can be gripped by a good mystery story if he gets his hands on one, and the occasional cheesy romance

Zane: Huge reader, will literally read any kind of stories but has a particular fascination with non-fiction. Also reads cookbooks for fun, and has been seen studying a dictionary.

Nya: Also a huge reader, but uh...mostly history books, and anything she can get concrete information from. Hardly ever reads for "fun"

Lloyd: Known comic book reader, but also begrudgingly has read many history books (although most of them were written by his mom lmao)

Jesse: Allegedly has a stash of trashy romance novels (source: Miranda) and has a ton of magic books

Olivia: Allegedly a horror and fantasy-story junkie (source: Bridget)
