(Do not look at the background it was rushed. Other than that, enjoy the quick drawing of Stephanie and Cass) If Cass’s outfit looks odd it’s because its not a cannon suit. In this au she modeled it after Macaque. (I wanted an excuse to give her a red cape) Thinking of calling this au MonkeyBat (I know im bad at naming things) unsure tho

Also, here’s the link to the LMK specific headcannons. Enjoy:

· Cass is 17 when she first went back to the dimension she was born in

· At this point I wanna say we’re close to the end of season 2 of Lmk so she’s started her training with Macaque

· She learns the basics first- how to summon her staff, shadow travel and she’s working on making shadow clones

· When Batman finds her, it doesn’t take long to tell she has powers, so he assumes she’s a meta

· Cass likes to go back and forth between dimensions

· She disappears randomly to go back home before showing back up at the manor for random periods of time

· No one knows where she goes off to. Trackers don’t work (she always finds them) and not even Batman or Superman can find her

· When asked where she was she either shrugs or says home she will not elaborate

· At first the family was suspicious but as time went on and it became clear she wasn’t doing anything malicious they kinda dropped it and it became usual

· Tim is still trying to figure out where she goes

· Bruce is too but not like Tim is

· At first, she didn’t care to much for her birth dimension and that doesn’t really change much except for the batfam

· She came back because she likes the family. She likes helping them out at night and hanging out with them

· She still refuses to let Bruce adopt her though and tells him he’s like an uncle to her.

· She drops hints that she has a family and but never drops names or locations

· At first the family think she might be talking about Lady Shiva and David Cain, but it doesn’t take long for it to become clear they aren’t who she’s talking about

· The search continues

· The batfam know that Cass can shadow travel, inhuman strength, her durability and that she has a strange shadow staff (that seems to come out of nowhere) but that’s about as much as they know on her powers

· It takes about 2 years for the batfamily to figure out she’s technically from this dimension but it’s not her “home” dimension

· She doesn’t tell them because she sees no harm in keeping it to herself. Besides it’s kinda funny watching them try to figure it out. She also wants to see how long these “world’s best” detectives take to figure it out. It’s not like she’s not dropping subtle hints.

· Stephanie is the first to find out about everything. Duke is second.

· They’re both smug about it once the entire family knows.

· They are also the first two that Cass brought home to meet everyone

· Before everyone else knows, Steph and Duke like messing with the rest of the family by making their own hints/references to Cass’s family

· It frustrates the others more than ever

· The three are having a great time

· As she gets more of her powers, she doesn’t really use them while around the batfam

· She just doesn’t see much reason to. She does however use them to fuck with some of the rouges if she’s on her own

· No one believes them when they say she turned into a slightly demonic shadow being

· Well no one but Tim

· Tim will figure her secrets out. Cass finds it entertaining.

· Cass and Duke get along great.

· Dukes just glad there’s someone else with powers around

· The first time Constantine met her, he showed up, looked at her, turned around, and noped right out of there. He doesn’t explain anything and refuses to be near Cass unless he has to

· Cass finds it hilarious and will sometimes sneak up and scare the man

· When confronted or asked if she knows why Constantine acts like that around her, she just shrugs.

· It’s not her fault he’s scared of the sheer demonic presence she give off

· With the exception of Constantine, she does try to avoid the league and other magic users. To many people who could possible out her by her presence alone and she enjoys being a mystery

Can we have some Salem facts? I Adore them

- He's a manlet! (at least compared to Belos) Like, pretty much around Hunter's height, just a few centimeters taller or so, like this drawing shows. So like, about 1,65/5'4"

- They're also pretty religious, which is a reason why they like going to the Knee, since its a very important place for witches to connect with the Titan. Which is another point of identity crisis and etc when he discovers that Belos might be lying about a lot

- I based his scars on Dell's, or at least the lineless ones. Those are all Belos related. I do actually have a post queued for either today or tomorrow that explains most of the ones he has on his arms.

He also doesnt really dwell or feel bad about his scars, at most theres just some annoyance about their hand tremors but even then they are managing it okay-ish

- I have songs and colors that I associate with my GGs and on Salem's case it's Honey I'm Home by Ghost and their theme color is white/very light grey

- They're very blunt and go on a bunch of thought tangents, which makes it fun to write from their pov. But theyre not very introspective and doesnt question much if they dont have a reason to.

- The way I see his not that great behaviour is cruelty and indifference for the ones he's harming most of the time, and distancing himself from the actual harm he's doing. i didn't want to make them very over the top cartoonish evil or anything very quick to spot.

He's cruel in the way people who seem nice are, hidden and excused by well meaning pretendes, which is quite hard to illustrate, i don't actually draw much exploration of them in their own little story besides near their death because of it and also because contrary to Cain, Salem doesnt really have anyone for me to work him with besides Belos and like, random scouts. And i also haven't drawn much of that because Im still figuring out what exactly he has done.

This is all very rough still. A lot can change

(they do believe they are doing the right thing but that also coexists with them not feeling much remorse when they are intentionally and knowingly cruel)

- Ironically they are very squeamish about death and etc. Kind of a Robespierre kind of deal, if I am getting things right about that. Executing this from a distance for most of the time. I have been wondering if they would have a nickname like The Golden Fist or something like that.

-Maybe if he lived longer he would have had a big change of heart and stop being so blindly obedient and would try to help people instead of hurting them. That would have him killed too though. Just later than when it actually happened.

- He was one of Belos' favorite grimwalkers, so much so that he is actually on the GG mind graveyard, which was where i took inspiration for their hair when it isnt in a bun

- As far as how close they look to Caleb, theyre actually like, third in closest resemblance. In second place theres Orien and then in first its Hunter.

- His whole story and not so great personality were not actually with him from the start. When i made them, they were basically just a design and name, and slowly i added them discovering about grimwalkers being what ends up making them "betray" Belos, and they were actually nice, but i had been looking at some posts about how not all grimwalkers must have been nice people and I wanted to make at least one of mine like that and they were the most interesting one for me to do that.

Him not being nice was decided after i made that whole sheet/reference post about the basics about him.

I didn't think id have much to say about them but apparently i do gjdjfjf. I know that i draw him a lot but its usually just mindless sitties or outfit drawings, not really exploring his character like I do with Cain. Hope you liked these Salem facts!

Sooo, I posted this on Twitter but, here we go, double-posting back here too.

So, I'm going to challenge myself this week. I suuuuck at drawing X. It's not that he's hard to draw! No. He's quite simple. It's me. The problem is me. It's always been me. I start to doodle and then once it becomes obvious it's X, I choke. I never finish. T_T

I blame most of this on my upbringing, because I was a fat kid (and now fat adult) I was taught I do not deserve to exist. I firmly believed for a very long time (and still do,) that I am more beneficial to people dead than alive. Why does this mean anything about X? This: I still have a horribly huge crush on that damned blue robot, & because of being told MY ENTIRE LIFE because I am a fatass I shouldn't even think about being involved romantically with ANYTHING. well. There y'go. There's also that my family found out eventually and teased me.

Like, my little sister, love her, but she's skinny as hell and retired professional cosplayer- she'd ether be in my corner or attacking me with our 'friends' growing up. My mom just rolls her eyes if I start gushing about X. (Yet she has gotten into BTS, the K-Pop group, and I am supportive.)

There's also the fact that I got pretty publicly attacked on Tumblr fairly early on because I noticed during the MVCI development, yeah. They fixed Chun Li's face? They also gave X an OBVIOUS pubic bulge and my X fangirl ass ate it up. So, I'm used to being shamed for this.

So... my husband totally ships humans/humanoids with furries. I ship humans/humanoids with anything that isn't the same species, robots, reploids, seamonsters, idgaf it's an awesome trope. (Hello Avatar and The Shape of Water, freakin’ A I still haven’t seen The Shape of Water but GODDAMNIT I WILL ASAP) Because of this we both ship the idea of a certain blue reploid with my OC. Yknow, my icon right there. It's an old-as-hell art I did eooons ago (20+ years) when I was roleplaying, managed to hook up with the X in said RP, things happened and my OC got pregnant. The X in that RP was the adopted brother of my dear friend, NovaStrike. Nova and her wife currently live with me, we drove down to NC to save them from being kicked out by Nova’s abusive as fuck parents at the start of the new year.

Anyhow, back then, Nova found out X and my OC had hooked up in that way and was IMMEDIATELY screaming ROLL FOR PREGNANCY!!!! long story short, the dice favored X being a dad. Annnd his RPer was totally ok with it. That's where my icon comes from. They had a little wolf-eared girl with brown hair and green eyes that we named Kasumi, as I was a big DOA fan, as well, and thought it was a cute name.

I bring this up cause even now, there is no mention of X anywhere on the original image. It's on my DA, but I don't even think I mentioned that there either. It's just my poor OC, beside herself that she got knocked up.. lol, also part of the wtf is how does that happen, but yah. I think back then we just figured "SCIENCE!!" and left it at that. Anyhow... I need to stop being so scared. I'm going to try to not be and get used to doodle my boy and not choke. -_- this is gonna be beyond hard.... but there's also the continuation of my memories of WAS, too.

Those stories... my memories.. I refuse to let those die. That stupid RP club stopped me from committing suicide. If I didn't have a literal X hovering over me during some pretty emotional times in my life, I probably wouldn't be here. So, since X has saved my life in more ways than one, I will try, damnit. I will do my best. For today, a sketch of the next WAS memory comic. Our X had an apple tree and greenhouse. His special spot, and only people REALLY FREAKING IMPORTANT got to go there with him. Our Dr. Cain, Zero.. our Roll.. people like that.

Then I got attacked by another member- he literally tried to rape my character, cause I didn't want to date him. I got a few friends to come in and make him stop, but they told our X, despite my begging them not to. So here was 16 year old me, whom already, in case nobody was aware, I am an incest survivor, so I already had bad experiences in being taken advantage of.. this is a character I have a huge crush on and he found our someone else on the team tried to rape me????? Omfg. Now, I had to go to that tree. I was playing a cat-and-mouse game avoiding our X for a day before he finally cornered me and made me come to the tree with him to talk about what had happened.

I wanted to die, y'all. This started a nearly 2-week long stint. Once our X found out that? I had to deal with him checking in with me DAILY for nearly 2 weeks. It got to the point where I went to school teachers to ask for advise on what to talk about with "X", no joke. I didn't know anything about the person role-playing as X, and when they were on, they were strictly IC as X. There was no talking to his player... I was talking to the character, about some pretty heavy stuff, weather I liked it or not. There was even one convo I remember.. Our X had found out my schedule pretty fast- and was in the habit of IMing me (this was on AOL back in like, 96, 97) as soon as I got online after school. He would often ask what I had for my after school snack. I responded once, eh, cheese filled ravioli.. something. "X" again, completely and utterly IC, responds with "That's sounds good! Just a sub tank for me today, I'm afraid..." Again, I never spoke to his player. His player stayed IC no matter what. This of course made me go "#^@%#%##!!!!!!" mentally but I digress..

I think the biggest lesson "X" taught me during all of that, was it's ok to ask for help. I'm not going to be able to handle everything on my own, and the biggest one, during that especially, was it's NOT ok for people to take advantage of me. You take into consideration I was only 16-17 at that time, and in an abusive household and living with my abusers, and having my childhood hero telling me this? This is why he's so freaking important to me. This challenge will be hard, but I will see it through. I owe him that much, in the very least.
