prompt: Since your boyfriend is a dancer you thought it was a good idea to learn a TikTok dance with him and post it for fun. Until suddenly, everyone wants to take him from you and you are not pretty happy with it.

genre: fluff and a tiny bit of angst (insecurity but its harmless)

a/n: plots kinda lame but cute imo.. its jus something i randomly thought of as im scrollin thru tiktok bc i hav an addiction yay ^__^ plus i love this tiktok dance LOL anyway its my first ever fic, im nervous so pls tell me what u think about it :3 im still a beginner at writing so it might b messy and rushed >.< but aaa hope u enjoy hehe

It’s becoming increasingly rare for you and Jimin to be home at the same time these days. As much as you want to wait for him every night, draw him a warm bath after a long day of practicing at his dance studio for hours, you can’t. Because you'd be passed out by the time he got home. The only time you’d be able to see him is during mornings when both of you are getting ready for work, one or two kisses on the cheek and it’d be another long hours for the both of you to see each other again.

And you miss him, quite a lot actually. For being such a clingy and affectionate partner and all your texts for him being all “Baby, I miss you :(” you highly doubt that you would be able to survive a full week without at least feeling his presence.

Jimin misses you too, of course. But as much as he feels bad for not coming home early as usual, and as much as he wanted to see you home and eat dinner with you like before, his practicing/working hours needed to be extended for some time because this new choreography for this K-pop boy group is not as easy to master and he feels as if he running out of time. You’d understand though, you know how hard he’s been working and all you want to do is take care of him as you’d like.

This Friday was one of those rare days. Jimin was able to finish everything he needed to do in his studio ahead of schedule and returned home with a takeout bag from your favorite restaurant. Just a little something to make up for the time you hadn't spent together in the previous weeks.

It’s 9pm and you were really tired. Your back hurts, your legs hurt, even your fingers hurt from all of the typing and note-taking you were doing the whole day. But at this point, all you really want to do is flop your now weak body on the bed, let your heavy eyelids close and drift you off to sleep, giving little to no care about changing from your work clothes which you are probably going to regret later on. You could say that today, specifically, has been a little rough on you. Your boss’ assistant turned out to be absent due to some sickness and because of that, you were the one who was assigned to take over most of her work. You thought it was just that, but during lunch, you accidentally bump someone and spill your mango juice on both of you. They were nice about it, saying that they had a spare shirt to change in their locker. However, you had to deal with the fact that your favorite dress shirt got a huge yellow stain that looked like someone had peed on you.

You thought it was just that, but it happened again. You then accidentally spilled the same mango juice on three of your papers, which you frantically fan with a thin notebook until someone offers you their mini hairdryer. It didn’t dry all the way, but it was enough to make the yellow splotch go away. Your overall summary of your day was just a pure mess, and you were just about to curse at the universe for making you suffer like this.

Again, it’s 9pm and you were really tired.

You wrap your hands around the doorknob, lazily pushing the door with your shoulder as you let out a sigh. A very familiar voice of a man immediately echoed through the apartment and you look up, only to see your favorite person, whose lips and eyes were formed into an upturned smile. You felt as if the heavy feeling in your body had been evaporated.

You’d never expect to see Jimin at this hour being home earlier than you. He was placing some take-out boxes on the table and from what you’ve observed, it’s from your favorite restaurant. His brown hair was slightly ruffled and it looked like he’d just been woken up from a nap. You thought he looked adorable like that, his large, sleeved shirt that made his cute hands look like paws as he looks over to you with puppy eyes and that oh, so cute smile on his face. His crooked tooth peeking out a little.

You immediately drop your things and tightly wrap your arms around his waist as if you hadn’t seen each other in a decade.

“Jimin!” you squeal, never letting go of his waist and you softly inhale as the smell of fresh laundry mixed with his scent hits through your nose. Your favorite.

“You really missed me that much, huh?” Jimin chuckles, his words slightly sounding heavy as he’d just woken up an hour ago. Bringing his right arm to place on your back, he pulls you closer to him.

“It feels like we haven’t seen each other in weeks,” your voice comes out a little muffled as your face is buried in his chest. You feel like crying, this week really has been pretty bad for you and finally getting to spend some time with your favorite person in the whole world has only been the good thing that’s happened. You try your best to let out a quiet sniffle, but Jimin heard it.

“Oh my god, are you crying?” He immediately says, his voice laced with concern. “Baby..” he gently grabs your face to make you look up at him, his heart sinks when he sees you red-eyed and it’s clear that you were crying.

“I’m sorry, today was just terrible, and,” you pause to sniffle, “I’m glad I came home to you.” you finished. You see Jimin looking at you with concern, “I know baby, I know.” he brings your face close to his chest again and embraces you tightly, placing his chin on top of your head as he sways both of you.

“I missed you too.” Jimin clarifies. “Let’s eat now, I’m hungry. Thank you for this.” you let go of his embrace, quickly helping set up the table and both of you take a seat, You start unwrapping your food and so does he, you take a huge bite and sigh in relief because finally, you haven’t eaten since lunchtime. You mentally thank god for having such a sweet boyfriend who never gets sick of you and your clingy-ness. Or maybe he is, he’s just good at hiding it. You thought.

It’s 10pm and both of you are laying on the bed, your head comfortably rests against Jimin’s chest as his right arm tightly wraps around your shoulder for support, you could still smell his body wash as he had just gotten out of the shower after you. You’d trade everything if it meant you get to cuddle with him like this forever.

“What are you doing?” Jimin asks, looking over to your phone, curious to see what you’ve been watching on your phone because he noticed you’ve gone quiet and all he could hear was some music playing over and over again. The show playing on your shared TV had been long abandoned but neither of you feel like turning it off.

Jimin sees a woman, dancing to a song to what he guesses sung by an American artist named Doja Cat. “Oh wow, she’s good,” Jimin observed, being a dancer himself, he found the choreography pretty impressive, and if he were to learn it, he thinks he might even do it better. Or should he say, eat it up?

You start humming along with the song, suddenly, a light bulb in your brain lit up as you let out a gasp. Looking up at Jimin, he looks at you with curious eyes. “You think you can do this dance?” your lips form a smile.

“Who do you think I am?” he jokes, “I’m a dancer, of course, I can.”

“Do you wanna shoot a Tiktok video?”

“What do you mean, like, we dance to it?”

“Come on, it’ll be fun! Plus, I think you’d look hot.”

Jimin’s lips tugged in a smirk, “Hot?” this earns a laugh from you. “Yes! I think I’ve gotten a hang of it though, it’s pretty easy.”

Spending time with your boyfriend is and will always be enough to charge your energy battery. Even if it meant forcing him to film and dance to this random video you found while mindlessly scrolling through Tiktok. This was exactly what you and Jimin needed after those long stressful weeks, especially after you had a bad day today at work. Jimin had always told you how dancing is like therapy, and for once, you agree. Because this is so fucking fun.

“How did you know all the steps already? I’m still struggling a little,” you pursed your lips at him.

“Okay, well, try to follow my moves,” he repeats the dance but slowly, so you could easily mimic his movement. You start getting a hang of it, and you can’t help the heat flowing across your cheeks as Jimin gives you praises and you think if he’s like this when he’s actually teaching a student.

But right now, you’re his student.

Luckily, it didn’t take you long enough to master this dance so you immediately press record on your phone and dance along to the song, but as you were dancing, you mess up one move, “Ahh! No!” you let out a giggle and Jimin does as well.

You couldn’t care less about messing up, since this was just purely out of fun, plus, you’ve always thought he’d look sexy dancing to this song.

Your phone finishes recording and you quickly grab it as it shows the preview, showing both of you dancing and you cringe at the sight of you dancing and notice how your moves were slightly delayed and undetailed, unlike Jimin who moves as if he was the one who choreographed this dance. It was clear who was the real dancer between the two of you, he wasn’t even giving his full best, and yet, it still leaves you stunned and blown away. Regardless, you were definitely right about Jimin looking sexy while dancing to this song.

“Damn, look at you move!” Jimin teases as he watches the video over your shoulder, “You can tell I was struggling,” you said in between giggles.

“You did great babe, you look cute.” he nudges you, rolling your eyes in which earns a chuckle from him.

“I’m gonna upload this so our friends could see how cute we are.” you quickly type in your caption: “Roped him into dancing to this song with me 😌 @ParkJimin” you hit post and you wait for it to load and show up in your feed.

“We’re that couple, huh?”

“We’re that couple.”

The following morning, you wake up to the continuous ding! sound echoing throughout your shared bedroom, you could’ve sworn that it was just a part of a weird dream you were currently having, but no, that sickeningly annoying sound was no other than from your own phone. As your brain begins to realize what was happening around you, your red eyes immediately shot open, quickly bringing your hand over to the bedside table to grab your phone, you try to move quietly as you realize that Jimin was still sleeping peacefully beside you. You quickly take a quick glance at him, making sure your shuffling didn’t wake him up.

You open your phone to see about 500 notifications from TikTok.

You sit up as you quickly unlock your phone, confused as to why you suddenly have that many amounts of notifications when all you do in that app was scroll through your For You Page for hours until you find that one funny video that will make you sob from extreme laughter. Did someone hack your account perhaps? Is it a virus? You try to rack your brain but you were still too sleepy to remember anything from last night, and your body is also, pretty sore.

The moment you open the app, it hits you.

You made a TikTok with your boyfriend and it blew up.

It had 10 million views, 3 million likes, and 100 thousand comments.

What.. the fuck? How?

You quickly tap on your video and went straight to the comments, you were immediately met with comments from people thirsting for Jimin, your boyfriend. Your eyes widen as you scroll through them, some of them were straight-up sexualizing him, and a lot of them were comments about how he was too pretty for you, and how odd that you guys are together. Some were even arguing that you guys are probably siblings. What is wrong with these people?

Instead of feeling angry, you felt your heart sink as you scroll more and insecurity gushes through you. You were never the type to feel upset over anything like this, but lately, you’ve been feeling very sensitive and you never even thought that this one video of you guys dancing will have an impact on people like this. You only posted this for fun, so why were they so mean to you? And what do they know about your relationship to judge you like that, plus the audacity to say nasty stuff about YOUR boyfriend? Are you really that ugly? Should you tell Jimin? Should you just delete it? What if people start blowing up your DMs? What if-

“Baby?”

You immediately turn your head to see Jimin who was now awake, puffy-eyed, and pursed lips as he looks up at you, his knotted eyebrows mimicking yours. “What’s wrong? Why were you looking at your phone so intensely?” he innocently asks. You don’t say anything and just showed your phone to him, his eyes immediately squint from the brightness and the blurriness, realizing he still can’t see what you were showing to him, he swiftly turns to grab his eyeglasses from his side’s bedside table, he puts it on. All he sees are comments, but he’s confused. “What is that?”

“Our little TikTok video blew up, and people are being mean for some reason,” you answer.

“Huh? Wh-what do you mean?” he’s still confused, the drowsiness was still preventing him to be aware of what’s currently happening. “It went viral, I mean,” you look through the comments again with a scowl on your face and Jimin sits up, scooting closer to look over your phone. Suddenly, the realization hits him like a truck. “We’re famous?!” is what his first response was.

This made you laugh, “More like, you’re famous,” you hold up your phone to his face, “Everyone is hating on me. Look at these.”

You see his eyes quickly scan through the screen, a divot slowly beginning to form between his eyebrows as he begins to scroll. Suddenly, he grabs his phone from your hand, his thumbs were moving very quickly and you realize that he was replying to one of the comments, you saw his finger tap the send button. “Hey!” You grab your phone from his hands.

user1: There’s no way this pretty guy is with this.. whew anyways 😳

user3 replied: omg fr hes too pretty for her, look at the way he moves too

Your eyes widens at his comment and you let out a gasp, “Jimin!” you slap his shoulder, to which he laughs. “What? It’s true! I’m just telling them who really owns me.” he rubs his shoulder, “That hurt, by the way.”

“Who really owns you?” this made your eyebrows rise and your mouth formed into an amused grin, you let out a laugh.

“Yeah, baby. I’m all yours. Always has been.” he clarifies with that shit-eating grin he sports everytime he acts all cocky and flirty around you. You playfully roll your eyes, trying to hide the fact that it still has an effect on you, it’s one of the things that made you fall for him, anyway.

“Now,” he grabs your phone once again and places it on the bed, but this time you don’t react. You watch him bring one of his legs over yours and sits on your lap so his legs were on either side of yours. A smirk visibly formed on his pretty puffy lips.

“We’ll deal with those people later, they don’t know what they’re talking about. For now, let me show you how beautiful you are to me.”

“Oh and,” he adds, “You look really sexy when you dance.”

“Oh, really now, Park Jimin?"

So royalty au w jeno omg. okie dokey, so you are both royals kinda. it’s a little bit enemies to lovers au whereas the second oldest (brother being first) you aren’t allowed to reign so bc of tradition (bad tradition) you have to marry into royalty of sorts. introducing lee jeno son of the lee’s who though not the strongest country are known for their activities and just tourism because their country is beautiful. you are shipped off to nct country to spend some time with your future husband. Now you don’t really hate jeno but you hate the idea of being shipped off to marry hence those feelings causing hate and aggressions towards jeno who is just like trynna be a nice and understanding bean (like he doesn’t want this either, and he’d just broken up with his s/o ). Fast forward three months and you slowly come accustomed to the place, learning about its government, and jeno begins to also warm up to you. -having been preoccupied with volleyball, crushes never crossed Hinata’s mind

-however, he was about to find out that he was quite clueless when it came to love

-he found himself speeding to school on his bike one morning, riding at breakneck speed to try to make it on time

-ahhhh, i was so excited about the first day of going to karasuno and seeing their volleyball team that i couldnt sleep until 4 am...!

-that explains why he overslept

-lost in his thoughts, he nearly failed to notice the girl who was walking in front of him

-and so, at the very last minute, he swerved. i nto a tree.

- “oh my gosh! are you okay??”

-if he wasn’t okay before, now he’s cURED because the most beautiful girl was looking down at him with an outstretched hand, concern in her eyes

-he jumped up instead and waved his arms in front of himself, blushing and nodding, “y-yeah, I’m fine! don’t worry about me, a-are you okay??”

-he took the handlebars after you offered them to him

-one day at lunch, he hid behind yamaguchi, who was confused until he followed hinata’s intent gaze to your form, which was walking by in front of the pair

-his grip on the guy’s wrist tightened and his eyes sharpened. “you’ll have to get through me, first.”

- “tch,” the taller male scoffed. he let go of hinata, pushing him back and glaring as he did so. then he glanced over at you still standing behind the orange-haired boy

- “bet you’ll get bored of shortstack over here soon enough. i’ll be waiting,” he remarked with a wink

-then he and his friends turned and walked away, disappearing from view

-hinata, who’s been running on pure adrenaline during this whole encounter, then collapsed on the floor from all the excitement and terror he tried to contain

- “h-hinata?!” you gasped, using your arms to support his sluggish body

- “ahhh... i thought he’d at least swing at me, but i got lucky...”

-he sounded breathless

-however, the last thing he expected was the soft press of your lips on his cheek

- “thank you, hinata. i really appreciate the way you stood up for me back there. no one’s ever really done that for me.”

Dan glanced at the time. He had a few minutes to kill before he had to catch his train to London Pride, he decided, so he logged into his laptop and opened AIM.

His heart skipped a beat. His best (and only, if he was being honest) friend was online. He sent him a message.

He and Amazingphil had met in a chat room about five months ago. They bonded a bit over their sexualities, and then Dan sent him a PM about Muse, and then here they were, still messaging almost every day since.

Dan glanced at the clock. He had to leave soon for his own plans, but he still felt a tiny bit jealous.

danisnotonfire: you have Plans?

amazingphil: yes

Dan checked the time again. He frowned. He had to leave now if he wanted to make his train.

danisnotonfire: getting ready to take a train

He didn’t wait to see amazingphil’s response before he closed his laptop and bolted for the door.

The train ride to London was nerve wracking but uneventful. Dan had never travelled so far on his own before, and his mother’s warnings rang in his head. As tempted as he was to pull out his phone and pretend to be busy, he kept himself alert, his phone safely stowed in his pocket and his backpack clutched in his lap.

His mother didn’t know where he was going. No one knew where he was going. It was a little bit scary, but also exhilarating. He could do anything; he could be anyone, as long as he was on the 8pm train home.

When his train pulled into the station, it was easy to follow the crowd of people in rainbow apparel to the parade site. Dan’s train had arrived a tiny bit late, and it looked like the parade had already started.

The street was crowded, but Dan wriggled and elbowed his way to the front of the crowd, where he had a decent view of his first ever Pride parade. He found himself sandwiched between two girls holding hands and a dark haired boy who looked about Dan’s age.

“Hey,” Dan found himself shouting to the boy next to him.

The boy glanced over, flicking dark hair out of his eyes. “Hey,” he shouted back. “What brings you here?”

“I’m gay,” Dan shouted. He laughed. It was so exhilarating to say out loud that he said it again. “I’m gay!”

The boy laughed. “Me too,” he said. “What a coincidence.”

“What’s your name?” Dan asked.

“Phil,” the boy replied. “You?”

“Dan,” he said back.

“Well, Dan, is this your first pride?”

Dan nodded. “What about you?”

Phil shook his head. “This is my third.”

“Wow,” Dan said.

Phil laughed. “It’s not that many. I’m sure there are some people here who have been to every single one.” He nodded toward a group of older men riding on a passing float.

Dan tried to wrap his mind around the fact that there had been fewer than forty London Prides. That everything around him was new and fragile and still in its infancy. “That’s crazy,” he said. “That that’s even possible, I mean.”

Phil nodded emphatically. “I know, right? If I had been born just fifty years earlier…” He shuddered.

“It’s not like it’s that great to be gay right now either,” Dan admitted.

“No,” Phil admitted. He looked down.

They were silent for a few moments.

“Sorry,” Dan said, clearing his throat. “I kinda killed the mood there, didn’t I?”

“Don’t worry about it,” Phil said. He shifted uncomfortably, fiddling with the plastic rainbow flag in his hands. “Does your family know you’re here?” he added softly.

Dan shook his head, eyes welling with tears.

“I’m so sorry,” Phil said in a rush, “That was such a personal question, I don’t know why I-”

“It’s okay,” Dan said softly.

Phil hovered awkwardly just at the edge of Dan’s personal space. “Um, do you want a hug or-”

“Yes,” Dan said, immediately crushing himself into Phil’s arms and squeezing his eyes shut.

He resolutely ignored the tears leaking from the corners of his eyes.

“Shh,” Phil said, holding him tighter. “It’s going to be okay.”

Dan didn’t know why he believed everything this beautiful stranger said, but he did.

It was going to be okay. Dan let that message sink into his body, settle in his stomach, until his limbs felt less shaky and his footing more solid. He pulled away from Phil, wiping his eyes.

“Sorry,” he muttered. “I don’t know what that was.”

“It’s okay,” Phil said. “It’s your first Pride; it’s overwhelming. Are you from nearby?”

“I’m from near Reading,” Dan said.

Phil whistled. “That’s pretty far.”

Dan shrugged. “No one will recognize me here.”

Phil nodded. “I’m sorry.”

Dan shrugged again. “It’s okay.”

“Well, I hope you have a good time. It’s a lot of fun.”

Dan looked around at everyone wearing various different pride flags, all of the floats covered in rainbow. “I think I will.”

Dan and Phil stayed together for the rest of the parade, bumping shoulders and pointing out people with particularly funny signs. When the last float passed, though, Dan realized he didn’t want to break apart.

He turned to Phil to say so, but before he could open his mouth, Phil interrupted him, looking nervous. “Actually, um, if you don’t have anywhere to be yet, I thought we could hang out for a bit? Get coffee or something?”

Dan had left a few hours after Pride for exploring London, maybe even looking at some colleges so what he told his mum wasn’t a complete lie, but he’d rather spend them with Phil. “I’d love coffee,” he said.

Phil brightened. “There’s a Starbucks really close by. If you like Starbucks?”

“I love Starbucks,” Dan said. He loved anywhere Phil wanted to drink coffee together.

“Perfect,” Phil said, already walking, presumably towards the Starbucks. “My treat.”

“Oh, you don’t have to-” Dan scrambled to keep up.

“Please,” Phil said, smiling. “It’s the least I can do.”

Dan rolled his eyes. “In exchange for what?”

“You travelled all the way to London to see me,” Phil smiled.

Dan rolled his eyes even harder. “It wasn’t to see you, dummy-”

Phil gasped in mock betrayal. “It wasn’t?”

“No,” Dan said, “It was to learn and grow as a person, to find myself, to-”

“Shut up,” Phil said, giggling. “Just let me buy you coffee.”

“Fine,” Dan said, pouting.

“Perfect,” Phil said, leading Dan into a Starbucks, “Now come on.”

Dan’s coffee was delicious, but he let it cool in his hands as their conversation went on. He and Phil had a lot in common, and their conversation flowed easily. They both followed a lot of the same online creators, they had similar taste in music, and they had similar senses of humor. They even had nearly matching hairstyles, Phil pointed out with a laugh.

“It’s a cool hairstyle,” Dan said defensively. Phil didn’t need to know that the only way Dan could make it look even slightly good was by straightening it every morning.

“Of course it is,” Phil said. “It’s mine.”

Dan rolled his eyes and lightly shoved Phil.

When Dan finally finished his coffee, he looked at it regretfully. “I guess I should get going.”

Phil hesitated. “I don’t know if you want to go back to my apartment or anything?”

Dan nodded, then looked at his watch. It was getting dark out. “Fuck. I can’t. My train.”

Phil’s shoulders slumped slightly. “Oh. Well, can I walk you to your train at least?”

Dan smiled. “Yeah. That’d be nice.”

It was lucky that Phil had offered to walk him, honestly, because Dan was completely turned around. London was one of the most confusing cities he’d ever been in, but Phil seemed to know his way around it like the back of his hand.

“Here you go,” he said, pointing out the train station Dan had arrived at earlier in the day. He shoved his hands in his pockets, staring at Dan with an intensity that made him blush. “I don’t want to go,” he admitted.

Phil drew closer, and Dan glanced around nervously. There were a few people around. No one seemed to be paying much attention, but that could change.

Fuck it, Dan decided. It was Pride. If there was ever a day for kissing cute boys in public, it was today. As Phil leaned in closer, Dan closed the gap and pressed their lips together.

It was sweet, shorter than Dan would have liked, but as Phil pulled away Dan noticed a man standing at the other end of the street, glaring. Dan could see Phil looking too.

“How about I just stick with you until your train comes?” Phil said lightly, but Dan could see his eyes still on the man on the other end of the street, who made eye contact for another second before finally turning away.

Dan felt the tension in his shoulders unwind just the slightest bit. “That’d be great,” he said.

Phil hovered protectively by Dan’s side for the next few minutes until his train came. Dan wouldn’t be much good in a fight, and he didn’t get the sense that Phil would be either, but his presence was reassuring. When it was time to say goodbye, Phil opted for a hug.

Dan sank into his arms gratefully. “Thank you,” he whispered.

“Of course,” Phil whispered back.

“Stay safe,” Dan whispered.

“I will,” Phil promised, pulling back. “See you?”

“Yeah,” Dan said. “I hope so.”

Barely a minute after Dan boarded his train, his phone buzzed.

phil: did u make it?

Dan smiled.

dan: yes

dan: ty 4 coffee btw, it was good

phil: :)

phil: b safe

dan: u 2

He waited a bit with his phone out, wondering if Phil would say anything more, but he didn’t, so Dan closed his phone and put it away. He let his head fall back against his seat and turned to look out the window, watching London pass by until it was left firmly behind him.

The first thing Dan did when he got back home was check AIM. Almost as soon as he logged in, he got a message.

Dan hesitated. He didn’t know why he felt like lying.

Dan didn’t talk much about his offline life with Amazingphil. He knew the basics: Dan was gay, no one knew, everyone still managed to give him shit for it somehow. But he didn’t know where Dan lived, his little brother’s name, or that he had traveled to London today for Pride.

And if he said something about Pride, then he’d be asked how it went. And then he’d have to talk about Phil. And he didn’t want to talk about Phil for some reason.

Dan still wanted to know what Amazingphil had been up to, but Amazingphil didn’t seem like he wanted to tell, so Dan decided to let it drop. He started to type up a question about whether or not Amazingphil had seen a video uploaded by a YouTuber they both followed, but he was interrupted.

Dan’s smile dropped. He had been looking forward to talking to Amazingphil.

He went offline. Dan stayed online for a bit longer, but no one else was really there, and none of the chat rooms he normally joined were interesting that night. Eventually, he gave up. He went to bed early too.

He woke up the next morning to a string of texts from Phil. He smiled, grabbing his phone and rolling over to read through them.

phil: hey i have some free time this wknd

phil: i could visit maybe?

phil: if ur free 2

Dan smiled harder.

dan: im free :]

dan: idk why u want 2 visit tho theres nothing here

phil: theres u

Dan had to put his phone down for a second to make sure his face did not actually combust from how hot it was getting.

dan: thatd be nice :3 i miss u

phil: lol, we saw each other yesterday

phil: (i miss u 2 :3)

dan: call me? :3

Dan’s phone started ringing immediately. He picked up. “Why would you want to visit Wokingham?” he asked. “London is way cooler.”

“But you’re not in London,” Phil said.

“I can be,” Dan said, his mind already racing to find excuses for visiting again so soon. “I could say-”

“Dan,” Phil cut him off with a laugh. “I want to visit you. Calm down.”

Dan hesitated. “Are you sure?”

“Yes, Dan,” Phil said. “Why? Are you?”

Dan hesitated. “It’s not that I don’t want to see you again; I really do. But I mean, there are so many people here who know me and I’m not really out. To anyone. Except you.” And someone online, he added silently in his head.

“That’s okay,” Phil said. “We don’t have to- do anything gay if you don’t want to.” He paused. “At least not in public,” he added hopefully.

Dan chewed on his lip. “Even if my parents were out of the house, my little brother is really nosy. Sorry, I don’t think we’d be able to go there.”

“That’s okay,” Phil said, even though Dan thought he still sounded a little bit disappointed. “I’d still like to visit you. I don’t want to make you come to London every time we want to see each other.”

Butterflies erupted in Dan’s stomach. Every time? This wasn’t a one off thing?

“That’s sweet,” he said. “But really, London seems better in pretty much-”

“Awesome,” Phil said. “What time can you pick me up from the train station this Saturday?”

Dan opened AIM again, halfheartedly hoping that Amazingphil had come online in the five minutes he’d had AIM closed. He hadn’t, so Dan sighed, closing it again. He checked his twitter for another five minutes, then opened AIM again.

Amazingphil’s away message wasn’t even descriptive: “How much pain has cracked your soul? How much love would make you whole?” Just a Muse lyric. If it meant something, Dan wasn’t going to bother trying to decipher it.

Dan closed AIM again. He opened twitter. He closed twitter, and opened AIM. He repeated the cycle until it was time to pick Phil up at the train station.

Luckily, his mum didn’t ask why he needed the car, just absentmindedly handed him the keys and told him to drive safely. He parked near the train station, hoping he wouldn’t forget where he left the car.

“So this is Wokingham!” Phil said when he got off his train.

Dan nodded. “This is Wokingham.” Phil was disturbingly excited to be in Dan’s town. Dan wasn’t sure why, it was nothing compared to London.

Phil jumped up and down, smiling. Dan couldn’t help but smile back.

“So,” Phil said. “Show me the sights! Hear me the sounds! What is there to do around here?”

Dan shrugged. “Uh, I don’t really go out a lot. But there’s this coffee place I go to a lot if you don’t mind more coffee?”

Phil narrowed his eyes. “Is it Starbucks?”

Dan laughed. “Starbucks? You wish. Phil, I am going to take you to the indiest, least mainstream coffeeshop you have ever been to.”

Phil blinked. “Low bar, if I’m being honest.”

“After this, you’ll never be able to go to a Starbucks again without being disappointed.”

Phil raised an eyebrow. “Tall order.” He giggled. “Get it? Tall order? Because Starbucks drinks are-”

Dan rolled his eyes, but he couldn’t help giggling either. “Shut up.”

Phil’s tongue poked out when he laughed, Dan noticed. “Never. I will not be silenced.”

Dan shook his head. “Disappointing.”

Phil pouted.

Dan relented. “It was a little bit funny.”

Phil immediately perked up. “You think I’m funny?”

Dan rolled his eyes so hard they hurt.

Phil giggled.

“Shut up,” Dan said. “Let’s go.”

When they got to the coffee shop, Phil spent an obnoxious amount of time reading the menu.

“It’s just coffee,” Dan said. “It’s not that complicated.”

“It is absolutely that complicated,” Phil insisted. He ended up taking about ten minutes to decide what to order, and when he did it was the same caramel macchiato he had ordered at the Starbucks they went to in London.

Dan reached past Phil to put a wad of pound notes on the counter. “My treat,” he said. “Since you got the train tickets and all.”

Phil glared at Dan and stuffed a wad of pound notes in the tip jar.

Oh well. At least Dan could say he tried. And the barista, who was honestly a little bit cute, seemed very happy about it, so Dan was going to call this a win.

Their coffee was ready in just a few minutes, and Dan watched Phil’s face carefully as he took his first sip of his caramel macchiato. “How is it?” he asked.

Phil closed his eyes. “It’s amazing.”

“Better than Starbucks?”

Phil’s eyes flew open. “Now, now. I didn’t say that,” he said.

Dan snorted at the look of near-panic on Phil’s face. “Don’t worry, Phil. I won’t tell Starbucks you’ve been cheating on her.”

Phil rolled his eyes. “Thanks, Dan. You’re such a good friend.”

Dan looked down. Friend. He didn’t want to act ungrateful, but he had been hoping that Phil didn’t want to only be his friend.

Phil groaned. “I didn’t mean it like that.”

Dan looked up, confused.

“Sorry,” Phil said. “I kind of just got out of a relationship, and I know we live in different cities, so I don’t know if it’s honestly the best idea, but I really like you. And I want to make it work. If you do too.”

Dan smiled. “I think I’d like that.”

Their coffee date- date? Was this a date? It really seemed like a date- well, whatever it was, it went well. Phil admitted that this coffee was, in fact, superior to Starbucks. He told Dan a bit about his job- he worked as a video editor- and asked Dan about his. Dan was a little embarrassed to admit he worked at Asda, but Phil didn’t seem fazed. Before long, Dan was telling stories about all the outraged customers he’d dealt with, and Phil was laughing along.

Dan let himself relax a little bit. It didn’t seem like Phil was going to judge him.

They spent the rest of the day wandering around Wokingham. There really wasn’t much to see, but Dan pointed out all of the places he and his friends used to spend time, before, well, they stopped being Dan’s friends, and all of the little coffee shops and secondhand clothing stores he still went to.

When Phil got on his train home, he didn’t kiss him. Dan knew too many people in Wokingham for that. But Phil did hug him, tightly, and Dan whispered a promise to visit soon in his ear.

When Dan got back to his room, the first thing he did was check AIM.

Amazingphil still had the same away message as that morning. Dan sighed. Why was he so hard to reach today?

Oh well. There were other things to do on the internet anyway. Twitter was boring today, but there was always YouTube, and random AIM chatrooms where he didn’t know anyone. Dan lost track of time, chatting with someone he was pretty convinced was a fifty year old man pretending to be a teenager, until he got a notification that Amazingphil was online.

He immediately closed his other chat window; the fifty year old man would have to wait.

amazingphil: im back :D

danisnotonfire: was ur relaxing day unplugged relaxing

amazingphil: lol

amazingphil: yes

amazingphil: i had a good day :)

Dan glanced around. He should clean his room.

danisnotonfire: give me 5

He glanced around again. There was no way his entire room was getting cleaned in five minutes.

Oh well. He had committed. He slammed his laptop shut and surveyed the room, trying to figure out what he could clean in five minutes. Or, well, what he could shove under his bed or in his closet in the next five minutes.

He managed to hide all his dirty laundry, then kicked a bunch of the clutter in his room to one side and pointed his laptop camera firmly away from it.

He opened AIM again, composing a message.

danisnotonfire: ok im ready

danisnotonfire: my skype is danisnotonfire too

He barely had time to open skype before he got an incoming call from Amazingphil. He picked up, then gaped at the screen in shock.

“Wait,” he said. “Phil?”

Phil blinked. “Dan?”

“What are you doing here?” Dan asked stupidly.

“Skyping you,” Phil said, just as stupidly.

“You’re- you’re Amazingphil?”

“Yeah.”

“And also Phil.”

“I think?” Phil extended his arms, staring at them, as if to check that they were real.

Dan groaned, putting his head in his hands. “How did we not figure this out?”

“To be completely honest,” Phil admitted, “I couldn’t really figure out what your screenname was supposed to say. I didn’t really know your name was Dan.”

Dan laughed. “What did you think it said?”

Phil blushed. “I don’t know!”

“No, really,” Dan said, an embarrassing amount of affection leaking into his voice. “What did you think it said?”

“Like, Dani snot on fire or something,” Phil said. “Look, it’s hard to read, it’s all lowercase-”

Dan groaned. “You thought my name was Dani and my username was about my snot being on fire?”

“Look,” Phil said, still blushing, “I don’t know. What’s your excuse for not knowing who I was?”

Dan felt his face heat up. He shrugged. “Phil is a common name?”

Phil laughed. “Not that common. Dan, you spork-”

“Shut up!” Dan said. “I’m not the one who doesn’t know how to read-”

“Maybe if your username wasn’t so hard to read-”

“Oh, blame it on me-”

“Look, I’m just saying-”

Dan scoffed. “You’re just saying.”

“I am,” Phil insisted. “Look, we both made bad decisions-”

“Bad decisions?” Dan said. “You think us meeting was a-”

“Okay, okay. Stupid decisions,” Phil corrected himself. “My point is, we’re here now. Isn’t that what matters?”

Dan had to agree that it was.

OPM s2e10 Live Blog

“Justice Under Siege”

ALRIGHT so despite the fact that it is the 1 week anniversary of my death, OPM has forcefully wrenched me from the underworld to come continue with the season. So here I am and I’ve already posted my guess for what this episode will entail so lets see how well I handle it! (see: how much I scream) As always, I’m watching as someone who is up to date on both the Manga and webcomic

Oh yeah, they interrupt right. I like these heroes and all, but none of them are particular faves the fact that I think SO MANY OTHER FAVES were are RIGHT before them this ep just kinda overshadows their existence for me. I think this is the ONLY time in the series where Garou goes up against heroes and i cheer for him 110%, don’t even feel a little bad about who he’s beating the shit out of, and that’s kinda messed up of me but thats how impartial I am towards all these guys?

Back to Garou and I love him. hhhhh.

This ep was a roller coaster oh my god. Non stop plot not that the tournament is done, and we saw like EVERY CHARACTER my feeble heart could not keep up. The ONLY thing that bothered me was part of the fight sequence at the end, like it was half drawn beautifully half animated so stiff and blocky ??? Threw me for a loop. But next week is only gonna get more intense??? I’m gonna guess we’ll get through the Elder Centipede fight??? But then what does that mean for the last episode??? I am full of SO MANY QUESTIONS??? I really don’t want the season to end yet, 12 eps is not enough. There’s only 2 more. Just. I’m not ready to let go of my bbs it feels like I only JUST got them… Well! ok maybe 23 isn’t so bad…. it’s december and there is hope… wau that feels rly fucking amazing hahahah. P sure every year i write about my fears about getting thru the winter and this time i am feeling my best about it!! I feel like now im like reALLYYY actually starting to trullyyy believe and practice that i am like a p nice person??? and i deserve nice things??? wow who knew?!?!? I DO NOWWWW :D hahahha. i mean i always knew right but like now it just feels good to idk not doubt it???? idk how to explain. all i kno is im never fkn w no nonchalant man. i need someone who is direct and intentional. and will b sweet to me and not b shy about it bc it’s me ^-^ it’s what i deserve!! and more!! i mean i’ve had men write me songs and poems and drive or fly hours for me! i am wroth it! ^-^ lol but yeah, im feeling pretty good. so many good things are going on and not just for me but for my sister and others too. i feel sooo happy and excited for everyone and the new year to come bc dang it seems like each year j keeps getting better and better. (-‘: i could cry lmao. even just last year was kinda hard so it feels really great to see how things are better and how i have made progress. i was kinda worried abt winter break bc that’s when i have no work and i could use some work bc u kno christmas and it’s good for my mental health for me to keep busy lol. it’s so funny how the universe works. a while ago i had a new massage client who really liked the massage and mentioned she owns and runs a daycare after i told her i work w kids and asked for my number afterwards but she never hmu after that day until last week! which was honestly the best timing. and it was after i had a conversation w my best friends coworker abt how daycare could b good money as well. o: im a little nervous to try it out, but mostly excited! im gonna be working with like actual freaking babies. that’s the scary part, but also very exciting because i would looove to have more experience w them in case it’s something i’d like to think about career wise ..and also bc i kinda like hope i can maybe one day have my own baby…. one day…. not soon but one day hopefully ._.,,,, my parents have been bugging me abt that kinda stuff lately it’s like wth pls slow down im no where near that part of my life yet ;-; but that’s good bc there is still much to experience n learn n grow :-)

Episode 3 - "RIP tribe Jenkins we were too powerful" - Riley

The 3 tribes of Pendragon, Hatter, and Jenkins have been reorganized and condensed into 2 new Hatter and Pendragon Tribes. Tribal immunity is Scavenger Hunt.

The fact I have Brayden and Toph in my merged tribe boosts my serotonin. i have a feeling colin may be someone to keep an eye out for in the future now...

RIP tribe Jenkins we were too powerful. I guess we'll see how Pendragon pans out.

yall doin me dirty putting me with brayden i just hope that by some miracle me him anastasia and ellie can work together? like i still dont know if theyre plotting on my ass vdshibshj i know brayden told anastasia to take me out when this game started oop but lemme see if dis works. i hope riley follows the logic of the old tribe sticking together and thatll be 5 votes. im kinda obsessed with toph like since the beginning of the game he looks like someone i could totally play with so def wanna work on that relationship. ava and nya? i believe? lets say hello and work on those relationships as well. dis is a bit overwhelming but we shall see how it goes

uh... well... i am SCREWED. me and ginny were the only ones separated from the Jenkins tribe... RIP. 4 pendragons, 2 hatters, and 2 jenkins... the main things i see here are pendragon yoinking one of the hatters / jenkins and voting the other off... OR a 4-4 tie... OR they're gonna target one of me or ginny cuz none of us have gone to tribal council yet. this is really dicey, and I need to tread very, very carefully from hereon. (ALSO GINNY BARELY TALKS PLS I NEED YOUR HELP GIRL)

This swap actually turned out pretty amazing for me. I still have Keith and Moth who I worked semi-close with in the pre-swap. Additionally, I've met up with Colin and Babs. A little Raffy magic could keep me very safe on this tribe. I think Kenneth is super fun as he is a newbie AND active. He will definitely make it far in this game. I hope, at the very least, that I can be by his side to make that happen. However, I am wary he might just be making these strong social connections with everyone. As a final note, OG Pendragons have this tribe 4 to 8. That's both good and bad. Good because we have numbers. Bad because that may make people target me very early on just for being a part of it. So, I have decided that if I were to throw any of my OG Pendragons to the wolves it would be Jonathan as I haven't been able to connect with them as well as Keith and Moth. Other than that, I hope this tribe doesn't have to go to tribal all that often between now and the next swap/merge. These people are lovely.

I'm getting a bad feeling about this... Since most of my Jenkins tribemates are on the other tribe, I KNOW they're good cuz we just keep getting W's... so I think there is a good chance we might lose the challenge. I contributed a good amount, so I hope that the target won't be on me if ever we lose the challenge :( I really don't wanna go, and I wanna reunite with Dennis/Ellie and maybe Anastasia and get further in the game.

Our tribe did our absolute best in this challenge. I have no idea who is getting targeted if we go to tribal as everyone is so quiet. All I know is that I want to keep Colin, Kenneth, and Keith close to me for this stage of the game. They are the only ones who consistently talk to me. Challenge results: Pendragon wins due to a 10% advantage, Hatter Tribe must go to tribal council the following day.

Look, before you go to tribal with a group of people it feels like there’s a barrier of game socialization because you haven’t been able to go to tribal with them. But leading up to tribal and after it, a whole new can of worms is available for game talk. Unfortunately it’s an extremely simple vote because Nya has ghosted all of us, but at least we still get to go to tribal so I can talk game with more people even if it’s only a small amount with this easy vote. But who knows, someone might decide to switch shit up!

And also I absolutely love this tribe (Minus Nya cause I haven’t met them) so I’m glad that I get to go forward with this group although I won’t be nearly as happy if we go to tribal again because as I said, I do enjoy this group of people a lot

Toph So what’s happening, I can’t remember the last time I made a confession but the tea yall ?! Soooo the tribe swap happened and my gut was right soooo okay intuition work ! I feel like I really like everyone from the merge and nya as remained inactive since, after losing the challenge it seems like an easy vote but you can never be to safe, I have my little allinnce with Brayden and Ava which is wig and I really dig Ellie , Anastasia, and Dennis too, I’m gonna be so nervous if we have to go to tribal agian because it could be me ! I’m not to sure about Reilly but they seem nice ! I feel pretty good with Anastasia as well and feel we could rope her into an alliance easily, I’m just gonna due my best right now to play the middle, keep my head down and speak positively. I really need to find an idol or something even better just so I don’t have to worry as super much and just plain worry then lol. If anything I’m gonna stay loyal to brayden and Ava the most since there my day one homies. Brayden seems to be close with Anastasia which could definitely help in are favor of having the numbers on are side. But could mean he would easily cut me for her if needed, so that mean I need to get closer with Ava, just to gaurnetee my safety, I have to look out for me this game and only me, making sure the numbers are kn my side I’m constantly on the right side of the vote should help me strageticly float to the end and win my crown thank you very much. I’m also lowkey worried about alliance’s being made right now without me!
