Dealing with a nonverbal pet or little

These are my tips on dealing with nonverbal pets and littles. I know both are fluent on who does what, so I tried to use what seems to be more common. This is mostly for understanding emotions or needs.

Pay attention to body language.

Littles: negative or positive stimming, angry stomping, being aggressive with drawing or playing, curling into a ball due to emotional distress or for coziness when tired, cuddling up to caregiver, friends, or stuffed animals for affection or comfort, and if they are keeping to themselves or seeking out attention.

Pets: hiding in safe places when feeling unsecure or scared, being too rough with toys or caregiver due to irritation or distress, and pawing when wanting attention.

Pay attention to what sounds they can make.

Littles: Happy babbling, sad or happy whining (sad whining usually follows distress like crying), sad whimpering due to sadness/fear/any sort of distress, laughing, and incoherent mumbling can mean boredom/spacing out/confusion/etc.

Pets: Making any strained animal sound that they are because of distress, hissing either for playfulness or anger, happy purring, and whimpering due to sadness/fear/or any sort of distress.

Games or activies

Littles: Playing pretend! Littles love games and playing with their caregivers. Maybe try to pretend to play as animals or teacher and student. Maybe use cards to communicate. Another good way is watching shows or cartoons. Might not require much speaking, and it's a good way to spend one another's company.

Pets: Try and play a game your pet likes playing! Games with pets don't always require speaking. Try a toy on a string for your kitty or fetch with your puppy. Another thing I would recommend is building a nest/bed. Just like littles, pets love comfy things but in their own way. Maybe make a pillow or blanket fort to mimic a pet house or use a ton of blankets and pillows to mimic a pet bed.

it's morning and you're working on something at your desk when your little one quietly shuffles into the room, looking for you. "Good morning, angel. Did you sleep well?" You spin around in your chair as they come up to you.

quietly, your baby whines and lifts their arms up. "Are you feeling too little for words this morning?" You smile. "You wanna sit with me until you wake up a little more? Mommy just has to finish this really quickly and then we can have something yummy for breakfast."

you easily lift them into your lap and they immediately latch onto you, gently resting their head on your shoulder while you went back to finishing your work.

wayne has always had to show up for eddie. from the moment that eddie was dropped on his doorstep however many years ago, he was eddie’s person. his biggest (and only) supporter of his sexuality, music, hobbies and generally, just him.

he was no idiot and wasn’t unaware of how eddie was treated. he was always the odd one out and that made him a target from the get go. outside of hellifre and corred coffin, wayne was it for him.

so understandably, he was hesitant as fuck when eddie had brought steve harrington over. he may not have known the boy himself, but he knew of the talk around town about his reputation and his parents. he was not eddies usual crowd of fellow rockers and nerds. but, eddie seemed to like him so wayne allowed it.

the harrington boy seemed to be around more often than not now, always spending the night or dropping eddie off. wayne didnt like to intrude but he knew steve was something special for eddie, so it came to no surprise when he introduced him as his boyfriend officially.

after years of being eddie’s biggest supporter, he slowly saw steve come to step up to the plate. he saw steve support every single one of eddie’s endeavors, no matter how small (like when he entertained eddie by holding onto each and every single rock the boy gave to steve). he even showed up in ways wayne couldn’t due to his work schedule, going to eddies gigs and helping him out with hellfire.

steve may have not been the man he expected, but months of seeing him show up for eddie in the ways that only he did for so many years; he loved him just like he loved his son.

Some of the people in the Animal Army would regress so she knew how to spot it in Gus <3

Cg! Lucifer Morningstar headcanons (pt2)

These are some more headcanons <3

⭐- his Cg nickname is papa!

⭐- he would be a chaos cg! Who cares about rules! He doesn't! The only rules would be there to keep you safe!

⭐- your his prince(ss) so he will treat you with royalty!

⭐- he carries your drawings with him in his pockets.

⭐- he's old fashioned and has a wallet photo album and he would definitely show it off to praise you/show how adorable you are! (All filled with discrete pictures to be safe)

⭐- he is really dramatic! And it would always make you giggle

⭐- he's way to protective it's actually cute! He would make sure nothing sharp is near you and his heart always jumps whenever you trip a little or gets little to close to sharp corners

I feel like... Perhaps... Arguing that transphobia is defined by murder and that anything other than murder doesn't even matter... May NOT be conducive to fighting for trans rights.

Like... people want the right to exist as they are. They want to have access to hrt and surgeries and prosthetics. People want access to clothes that fit them and reflect how they want to be seen. People want access to medical care (eg. Getting screened and treated for sex-based forms of cancer can be impossible if you have the "wrong" sex listed to receive those tests). People want to be respected and treated well. People want to not be sexually assaulted and beaten and abused. People want to have access to housing and jobs, and the protection to not lose those things for being trans. People want access to shelters for homeless people or survivors of domestic abuse. People want name changes.

Acting like all of those things don't matter because at least they weren't murderered by an individual (and instead die of suicide or state violence, or survive and suffer) isn't okay.

Help, food for thought, little Phantom with joint pain (wrists and ankles) so it hurts to do anything. He constantly is rolling them and pulling on them but nothing feels better and he's too little to remember how to use his magic. So eventually he just gives up and has a meltdown because he's in pain and can't cope in any other way feeling this small while being in so much pain. It isn't until Dew finds him laying in a ball, no tears left to cry does he finally get some soothing. Gently, Dew takes his wrists and ankles in his hand one at a time and holds it, using his heat to try and ease some of the pain. It works enough for Phantom to relax some before eventually drifting off for a nap due to how hard he had been crying.

It's literally me. I'm the little crying over joint pain

ohh, i love this idea so much !!!

dew would be sooo kind and gentle with phantom while he's so small and in so much pain. speaking to him with a really soft tone. he's got a lovely quiet and soothing voice and is more than happy to give phantom lots and lots of gentle cheek and forehead kisses to help breathe a bit of life back into him

dew using his heat to slowly warm phantom's aching joints is absolutely genius by the way :D maybe he fetches a heatpack (or five) to place around phantom's ankles while he massages some gentle warmth into his wrists. and you just know they're bundled up under a nice fluffy blanket with some kind of simple documentary playing as background noise so phantom has something else to focus on rather than his pain

and of course, once phantom wakes up from his tear-induced nap, dew would definitely be pressing a sippy cup of water into phantom's hands to get him to replenish all the fluids he lost from crying

ohh, i'm so sorry to hear that :(( with your permission, i'm bundling you up in a soft, fluffy blanket of your own and smothering you in heat packs <3
