Monthly Update – April 2024
The first Act of Remnants of The Past is officially complete! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has purchased the game, as well as to those who will buy it in the future. Your overwhelming support means the world to me <3!
Now, onto planning Act 2! But before diving fully into that, I've been testing with a few things to enable you to import your choices from Act 1 into Act 2, and I'm thrilled to share some great news! Just this morning I found the way to do it! Huge thanks to Itch.io user necrosian for the suggestion, @13leaguestories for the help, and Chapel for the macros! In the next few days, I'll release an update so you can export your choices into a save file. However, this feature does NOT work on mobile. If you're playing on your phone, the export button won't do anything, but I've included a guide on how to manually carry over your choices to Act 2 on mobile. It might seem a bit tedious, but it only takes 2 minutes, and then you can forget about it for the rest of the Act.
In addition to that, I'm working on writing some extra scenes from the perspective of the ROs that didn't make it into the game. Whether it's because the MC wasn't present during those moments or they weren't necessary for the plot, these scenes are good details to share about the characters and give a bit of more context to their actions in the story. If you have a particular scene in mind that you'd like to see from another character's pov, feel free to ask! I'd be delighted to write it, as long as it doesn't venture into spoiler territory, of course! And on top of all that, I've been busy preparing some illustrations for Mermay! All of this and more will be available for Patreon subscribers.
With April and Act 1 done, I'm excited to dive into Act 2! Here's to hoping I'll make it to Chapter 1 soon!

Hi yes hello I know nothing about tennis but I am LOVING this, just a question it may have been asked and I just missed it, for the POVs of the other characters how do you get those do you need to be at a certain level of being romantic and or friends? Or are they just not implemented yet? Again sorry if this has been answered before! You are AWESOME!!
If you see a greyed out POV, it's probably because you didn't hit the requirements (usually romance, or in one case its being doubles partners) - they're all implemented so long as you see the option!

Hey guys!
I know it's only been a couple days, but! I've got a lot of messages about the pronouns and random variables, so I wanted to get those fixed before I get too much farther in the story, because I know how much errors with pronouns and gender stuff can really take you out of the story.☺️
So, they should be fixed- I combed through the story and changed anything that wasn't working/displaying correctly, and I changed a few grammar mistakes. But I could have missed a few, so please feel free to send a screenshot of an error, if you find one!
BY THE WAY! I know it sucks, but please-please-PLEASE restart a new save/new game. 😞 Otherwise, the pronouns/variables won't work!!

Update!
I just looked at my previous update and realized I was supposed to be holding on the poll but I was too caught up on the assignments XD

Alright! With that thing out of the day, let's get into the weekly update!
I wrote like… 3K words >.> I know it's not a lot but I was busy with my assignments and got a lil sick :( Just got finished with the assignments actually lmao
The Patreon story will be a sneak peak of the book on day 2 of the MC in the world! It'll include Laurel and River doing a lil bit of Yoga! Also you get a boon from a goddess which will help you in the long run!
No snu snu scene, but things do get a little spicy heh…
That's pretty much it, right now the short book is at 3.1K words and I'm hoping to release it between Wednesday or Monday. See you guys then!

In a few weeks time, John Krasinski‘s IF will be released in UK and Irish cinemas.
A couple of weeks ago Paramount Pictures released the film’s final trailer with a host of character posters. What those posters did, they revealed the cast especially the voice cast is a lot bigger than previously advertised.

Welp, I finished the chapter just in time for this month’s update. 😅 I really liked this chapter, though… Things are starting to not be ok for Sin, mentally, and I always love writing things like that

Some things- I’m slowly changing the look of the whole game. Now that some ✨THEMES✨ are settling in, I’m able to actually make the IF look a little prettier. I have some other art I will be adding later, when something in particular happens in the story, so get ready for that as well! [Also, this is random, but I realize that I’ve never mentioned this… The beautiful hand/forehead model for the SoS banner is my lovely little sister. Just wanted to throw that out there! ���] I am also introducing a secret stat 👀 I’m not entirely sure how I want it to look on the stat page, so right now it’s just a number that will either go up or down depending on some of your choices. So, until I figure out how I want it to look…… Enjoy just a random number on the stats page. 😂

💙 BLUE HEART - do they miss their s/o easily? how do they act when their s/o isn’t around?
Chris is the type of man to call you immediately after dropping you off at your house, if he could follow you around every single second of the day, he would. Around his friends, he would be the annoying person that would mention his partner every 5 minutes, calling them whenever he's doing something fun, and would go home early most of the hangouts so he could get to his s/o's house sooner.
Chelsea enjoys her alone time, but she gets restless if she can't call or text you at least once a day. She has a busy schedule so sometimes you can only see each other maybe 2 or 3 times a week, which is why she will convince you to move in with her just so she can see you after a long day at work. Around her friends, she only talks about you if her friends ask, but she will be taking pictures and texting you about everything that happened.
J will miss you even if you're only in the next room and they can't see you. Like Chris, J wants to follow you around every second of the day, and they do, no matter where you go, you'll always see them at the corner of your vision. J doesn't interact much with other people, and even when they do, they would barely notice the other person because they're too busy watching you.
Why would ? miss you? You can't leave anyway. They like talking about you with other people, if only to brag about how obedient you are under their care.
