Hi yes hello I know nothing about tennis but I am LOVING this, just a question it may have been asked and I just missed it, for the POVs of the other characters how do you get those do you need to be at a certain level of being romantic and or friends? Or are they just not implemented yet? Again sorry if this has been answered before! You are AWESOME!!
If you see a greyed out POV, it's probably because you didn't hit the requirements (usually romance, or in one case its being doubles partners) - they're all implemented so long as you see the option!

Excuse me this is the cutest post-doubles match win interview I have ever heard. (Hsieh Su-Wei and Elise Mertens at Indian Wells)
Taking NOTES.

When Mertens pointed out that Hsieh delivered one spectacular shot, the veteran cheekily replied, “Only one?”
No, of course not, smiled Mertens.
Later, when Mertens was quizzed on why she turned to Hsieh as her partner for 2024, the Belgian spoke about how their games meshed and their previous success.
“It just naturally flowed a little bit throughout the matches that, okay, we're not starting from scratch, we already know each other,” said Mertens. “‘I know how you play, you know how I play.’”
Hsieh then piped in. “I thought because I'm cute, that's why you asked me,” she said.
“And she is very cute, too,” Mertens happily acknowledged.

I'm guessing they were really agonizing over this decision ;) Like, packing it would almost be presumptuous / jinxing themselves.... but on the other hand, not packing it might be shooting themselves in the foot if they actually muster up the courage to tell MC how they feel and something good actually does come out of their 'confession'.... ;)
So, what would be Sam's reaction if MC ends up being the one who was keeping condoms in their room because MC knew Sam was visiting? 👀
OHHH SNAPPPP. HAHAHA.
Sam would probably blush furiously, and then... get down to business.... "You prepared the condoms, we might as well make your hard work worthwhile..." ;)
All jokes aside, they'd definitely be thinking about it all through their visit, and the PALPABLE longing for MC would probably culminate in something on the last night before they leave :) Whether or not they talk about it after is another question altogether...

Can we get a guide on how to make Sam as jealous as possible? Asking for a friend
Date / show very public interest in every possible other person all while continuing to give Sam glimmers of hope here and there (like taking the photo strip to college, wearing Sam's jacket, and continuing to be extremely intimate with Sam).
^I think this should do the trick. (EVIL!! Absolutely not judging though.)

Wait what was Jacks physical appearance again? Whenever my mc interacts with Jacks (male, in this case) Jannik Sinner keeps popping up in my head lol. I dunno why he just exudes skinny pale victorian child in my head 😭 was he ever ginger haired? I dunno why I thought this 😭😭
HAHAHHA. Ooh I think Jannik Sinner is a little too gangly for Jacks, who is smaller and more compact, I'd say. And the ginger curly hair almost gives Sam vibes instead (here's Sinner looking his Sam-est, though I don't think Sam's gangly either):
But uh Jacks, let's see: Brunette, not particularly built for power or intimidation, but endurance — they're almost atypical in the sense that they don't give off very "Jocky" energy, and seem almost cerebral / quiet / shy in their mannerisms and demeanor.
I think Kei Nishikori's build could be similar to how I imagine Jacks.

I'm thinking... 5'11 or 6'0 for F!Tobin and 6'3 or 6'4 for M!Tobin? These aren't fixed in stone and I'm 50% sure I've said something somewhere that I have not updated/looked at in ages.

I don't know how you did it but I've hated watching Tennis my entire life, loved playing but hated watching. Now, I play tennis in the background while working so I can watch. What have you done to me?!?!?!?!?!
Though with that, said I do have a question, not so much about the story but more about whether or not you played Tennis in college or in highschool? You have good knowledge of Tennis and it's written so seamlessly well that I can't help but ask.
Also l, what inspired you to write an IF about college Tennis?
HAHA yes I did play! Nowhere near Div I level though. I loved the camaraderie of playing in a team, and sometimes the drama that entailed! :)
I guess I have a LOT of different ideas, and I knew I wanted to write a sport-related slice-of-life, found-family story (football/soccer was one of my earlier ideas too, which I may revisit one day) and there were so few sports COG/HG games out there that I thought "here's a niche I could get into!"
I guess I always thought there was so much mental, social, aspects to playing sports that never quite get explored in more traditional video-games. IFs seemed like the right medium to do it (because it allows for a lot more exploration of inner thoughts, choices and so on.)

Will we get a chance to verse Sam in the future, considering they are at a different school? Or are their rankings far apart? I could just imagine if it's doubles and you had been flirting with everyone or at least your doubles partner and Sam, talk about awkward.
Also, can we at least go to see one of their games? Gotta meet Sam's roommate.
Yes!! You'll get to see / play with Sam (if they're same gender/play for the same team) and also meet Sam at various tournaments. MC is slightly better than Sam though... but Sam is always a tricky opponent. And, as I promised previously, opposite gender Sam and MC also will plau one mixed doubles match against each other at some point in the next few chapters :)
As for visiting Sam, absolutely! You'll get to meet their roommate and hang out in sunny California for a weekend! Experience a bit of their world :)

Beyond the trips, something that might really come in handy w/ Sam are phone calls to catch up! I'm curious to see how they cope with the distance (and the headache of school) compared to MC
Agreed!! Sam I'm thinking can sort of serve as a way for MC to voice some of their fears insecurities dreams hopes etc. And have a sounding board / almost a foil(?) In Sam, who no doubt is going through a lot of similar things. I think it could be an interesting narrative opportunity (and an opportunity for character growth and just ... regular ol bonding/Sam time.)
