I can’t believe Asbestos is 5’1”. It feels wrong. What do you mean the girl carrying tons of survival gear and a fucking flamethrower shield everywhere she goes is barely over 5 ft tall. What do you mean I’m over a foot taller than this character I’ve been obsessed with and projecting onto for like a year. Girl calls Magallan “shrimpy” when she’s not even tall enough to ride the roller coaster. The best arts tank in Arknights that can survive some of the most powerful attacks in the game with ease but has to grab a step ladder to reach the top shelf. This short girl who aggressively tries to be a loud and obnoxious asshole to everyone she meets (except Magallan) and tries to piss them off like she’s a chihuahua or something. I could pick her skinny ass up and throw her like it was nothing if it weren’t for the fact that she’d torch me with a flamethrower before I got the chance

#I never bothered to convert her height into ft in before and it’s blowing me away how small she is #I know a lot of people wish Arknights characters were taller #like how Hoshiguma is apparently only 6’0 when everyone wishes she was like 7 ft tall #or how mudrock is 5’4 #arknights #asbestos

Tim, shifting slightly, eyes still shut, basically sleepy mumbling: you wouldn't be hitting me, you'd be paralyzed

Bernard: then I think someone is stealing clothes from our closet

Tim, running his hand through Bernard's hair so Bernard knows he is listening: don't know why, we are the pits of fashion, they should be stealing from Sophie and Louie's closet, or even Tammy and Lauren's closet

Bernard: is that... Robin?

Tim, wide awake now, swiveling his head towards the closet: WHAT?

Damian, standing there in a Robin outfit looking through their clothes in the closet, gathering a pile on his arm: Your father wants you to call him, Drake

Bernard: Robin works for Bruce? Actually, that's not surprising.

Robin, walking out with a pile of clothes on his arm: I am confiscating these *walks out the door*

Part of what charms and compels me in Jeyne Poole's arc is her reaction to her predicament. All the female POVs in this book are dealing with a lot of gendered violence, and they all deal in different but dignified forms... Jeyne is not a POV character and she is absolutely not dignified lol. She cries and begs, she is utterly helpless. But unlike most women in this book who are utterly helpless, she survives. It's frustrating how fans refuse to celebrate that, simply because there is no glory in it.

something that actually drives me so nuts about this game is how well-written, complex, and lived-in basically every female character is, clearly crafted with intense care and respect... but then you try to put a sensible tunic and pants on them or your female Tav, and the outfit randomly turns into a tits-out dirndl and frilly capris and it's just like "whoops, almost forgot"

#actually took the wind out of my sails so bad when I reached Act 3 the first time #was so hype for some good clothes only to realize none of them look like the icon outside of a full fairytale prince suit #also dont get me started on the smooth featureless-except-huge-tits standard female body type #which is why I wanted good clothes bc my ranger Tav's bony shoulders and arms were pissing me off #or how awkward most female-female kisses are bc they're clearly *supposed* to be kissing *someone taller*
