Here it is! Emergency pocket backpack sized Binghe, to serve as analog entertainment and also a conversation piece on the family trip I leave on tomorrow. As always, remember to support the author via official translations too! At first, speed was the name of the game, because my first project went to hell and I had to scramble for a backup, but then I couldn't help myself, and I got a little fancy, a little experimental! The font is TINY, I'm pretty sure it's 6 pt, but my eyes are good for it, which is all that matters, haha. And that tiny font still makes for a 900-page quarto book. And I wrapped it all up with an enclosure because this is literally going in my lil purse backpack, and I would Die if I hurt it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So I started off, and this is a 900-pager. My guillotine maxes out around 550. The primary disaster of the first project was an attempt at chisel trimming, so this book, I power sanded. I was short on time, my time was mostly late at night, and I was working on my apartment balcony, so I wasn't able to fine-tune the process, and I wound up with some marks on the edge I didn't love. So I made a last second snap decision to add some edge art! Just the head and tail, referencing from the official translation illustrations
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then I decided to use leather! And out of a random selection, I accidentally picked the hide that cost three times as much as my others, so I really wanted to crush this. I started with leather headbands, because I couldn't find my regular sewing supplies (this was a very well planned project), then continued on with a 3/4 binding. I'd seen someone's project with really wide faux bands, so I did that, and shaped the spine to follow the curve of the book really tightly and coaxed the leather around the endbands into little endcaps. It's not as close a fit as a tightback leather binding, but I still love it! I lined the spine with decorative paper because the guts of a breakaway spine on a book this big can be very open, but ultimately, it's barely visible, haha
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love this a lot!!! The size of the print makes it relatively inaccessible for some readers, but that just means it's perfect for me, personally, and that's so fun. And at quarto size, it's deliciously thick, but not a wrist-breaking weight. Honestly, this was supposed to be a rush project for emergency entertainment during a family event, but then I accidentally wound up with what might be my favorite book I've ever made

Hello! I heard you like DnD!
What has been your favorite campaign so far? My current friend group is completing a 5e WotC one, but I have also seen some great homebrews done. Do you prefer WotC campaigns, or homebrews? What were some memorable moments? ✨
Oh god, you've got me started, now I'm never gonna shut up >:)
So, I've played in four games and ran one, all homebrew, over the course of my time. My first campaign I was a life cleric with a pet goat that I saved from being a sacrifice. I didn't really know what I was doing, as it was my first game, but I had fun. My second game, I was a rogue snakeoil (and crack) salesman, which started the trend of all my characters selling drugs. Game three, I played an evangelist artificer and fell in love with the class. I adore robots, what can I say? In my current game (which is an original story, but in the planescape setting), I play a barb/fighter hazily struck out of time. She's up to three mystery voices in her head now, one being the sword of Kas, sells drugs via cranium rats, and was in a pro-wrestling tournament.
Probably one of my most memorable moments was perma-killing my artificer, Gillaria. To start, Gillaria was a bit of dunce. She was smart, yeah, but had balls wisdom and even worse charisma. She tried to fly into a portal to hell once on a wooden broom so she could take an energy reading. She got kidnapped in like three separate alleyways and gave her full, legal name to a devil. This is all to preface with the fact that this character didn't make the smartest choices.
The other thing about Gillaria was that she was a priest of Relhan, the setting's god of innovation. She and her two robot buddies, Anatolius and Aenira, would preach the word of this dying god on street corners, since the main temple to him had been destroyed. Usually, given that the highest charisma score between them was an 8, this ended up with tomatoes being thrown.
Anyways, though the campaign was supposed to go a little while longer, our dm got a new job, so we had to end early. The party decided that our last hurrah would be to raid the Golden Trident, a rival faction we'd been eyeing for some time.
One Gillaria project she wanted to get done before the end of the campaign as well was the squirrel laser. The construction of such a laser is as follows:
The druid Awakens 6 squirrels with their magic staff. The squirrels are now sentient.
Our warlock signs these squirrels onto warlock pacts. The squirrels can now cast the cantrip Bonfire.
Gillaria has a Decanter of Endless Water and the spell Magic Mouth
Infinite steam power has been achieved
We did the math and we would've been able to power a railgun with this set-up, so our dm decided, fuck it, campaign's almost over, they can have a death laser. It was decided it would be a DC 16 dex save against being zapped into ash.
Anyways, cut to us raiding the Golden Trident. Our level 10 warlock is being chased by an anctient dragon, our barbarian fell off the airship (We had a dragon ghost powered airship. Long story, also Gillaria's fault) and we're being chased by the enemy's airship.
Gillaria tells Anatolius, her steel defender with an intellect headband that she treats like a son, to point the laser at the enemy skyship, ready to fire once it warms up in four rounds. Gillaria then flies over to the enemy ship, hoping to disable its engines. However, like any good artificer, she's immediately enamored by the engines themselves. At this point, I the player forget I have a four round count down.
Yeah, you can see where this is going... The dm has me pick high or low on a d100 to see what part of the ship my laser hits, and I invariably pick wrong. And that is how Gillaria got blasted to ash by her own automaton, wielding her own laser, atop her own airship. Her final consolation was finding out that her god was not, in fact, dead and being reincarnated into his steel and steam avatar.
This is one of sooo many dumbass stories for this character, she was a piece of work. Thanks for asking though, I love talking about dnd! Feel free to share a story of your own or ask any questions :)

Some musings abt the soon to be Precure season
So i took a look at the new website and bruhhh
Tumblr media
they're so tacky looking and cute I love them! I'd actually gotten spoiled for Cure Wonderful and Cure Nyami's designs thanks to fanart on pixiv, and at the time I thought the season was going to have an Alice and Wonderland motif thanks to Wonderful's crown [thought she was gonna be like the queen of hearts but nope]. After checking out the website and trailer tho, it seems like the theme is more of a zoo and or animal companion theme. When I first realized that I thought to myself "wait haven't we been here before?" but thinking about it further Healing Good's theme was more along the lines of veterinarians and the earth[?] and Kira Kira Precure's was moreso just animals as window dressing/attack inspo with sweets being the main theme so I suppose we're not technically retreading old ground here. Speaking of not retreading old ground- HOLY SHIT THE MAIN CURE IS A DOG??
Tumblr media
Just like...a full on dog dog bruh, like dang man I never thought i'd see the day where we'd essentially get a fairy leading the team. It seems like the team's split into both humans and animals, with Cure Nyami definitely being that white cat
Tumblr media
This is exciting! I love that Precure's held onto having fairies transform into humans, it's so heckin fun! Back to the designs- In order of my favorite to least favorite it's Cure Nyami [look at that hair bruh! she is beauty, she is grace]
Tumblr media
Cure Friend [the poncho and hair are my fav]
Tumblr media
Cure Wonderful [she looks like such a peppy kid awwww]
Tumblr media
and lastly Cure Lillian [her arm thingies remind me of Futari Wa and I adore that ribbon]
Tumblr media
Honestly, I think this may be the first time since Kira Kira Precure that I've been immediately on board with the designs. I ended up loving Hirogaru's over time but at first glance, I couldn't get over how weird they looked [never fully ended up liking Cure Wing's design but still love the character]. The only thing I dislike about them is Lillian's headband, and the big heart on Friend's shoes. I'm sort of a big sucker for poofy/frilly skirts, long straight hair, and ponchos so I feel well-fed. I'm especially looking forward to seeing them all in motion, especially Lillian since based on her turnaround she seems to have a bit of sass to her. Based on Nyami's turnarounds/previews she seems to be more of a kuudere[?] type which isn't something we've gotten for a main cure in a while. There's also all of these guys just hangin' out on the site too
Tumblr media
Can't wait to see what these lil guys can do, hoping that they'll be connected to powerups and maybe even special outfits/attacks [really enjoyed it when Happiness Charge did that]. But maaaan this is so cool. It seems like ever since Hirogaru decided to play around with Precure conventions they're going all out with unique approaches to the formula. One thing I hope they continue doing this season tho, is keeping the fighting style as a literal fighting style like super sentai where they actually throw punches. I love Kira Kira, but there's only so many times [like 2] that I can watch someone fight by pointing a wand at something before I start skipping the battles. Really loved how Hirogaru frequently would have the characters strategize in battle, it really kept me engaged even if I always know how it'll end. All-in-all, it's sad to see Hirogaru go, but I'm excited with what new stories await in the new season! ^^

"Curiosity Killed the Cat"
Tumblr media
02/03/2023 - 02/06/2023
Pairing: Hitoshi Shinsou x Reader
Word Count: 2,375
Warnings: ANGST; there's a lot of death here; character death; reader death; let me know if there's more.
Gender: AFAB
Alternate Universe: College AU
Notes: Okay, so lowkey, never thought that I'd ever write angst in my life because I don't even like reading it, but this just happened, okay-
So, basically, I came across a video in YouTube where it asked people, if they wrote a book where the first and last sentences would be the same, but they had completely different meanings, what would it be? Well, the people in the comments section went the ANGSTY route, and like GOD DAMN THEY WERE WILDLY SAD-
But weirdly enough, I felt compelled to write my own version. Except, instead of just writing the sentences, I wanted (and ended up making) an entire one-shot fanfic (so this isn't a request).
I had no idea what sentence I was going to make, or which character I was going to write for, or what fandom I'd write for, or really, anything. But that didn't stop me, because pretty soon enough, I'd decided to write for Shinsou from Boku no Hero Academia, and use an idiom I really like - "curiosity killed the cat."
Now, with the idiom, I ended up adding my own little spin on the way the rest of the idiom goes. It's supposed to go "Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back." Mine went a little differently (which you'll soon see).
In which the Reader has to through a horrible experience like no other.
"I've heard that curiosity killed the cat."
"But fate brought it back!"
It was the same every time. The same words. The same little boy. The same little rockets. The same little happiness.
So why did it have to be like this every time?
︶꒷♡꒷︶꒷♡꒷︶꒷♡꒷︶
Shinsou remembered the first time he met Y/N.
It was at the playground back in school. All the other kids had their own little groups to play in, and as usual, Shinsou wasn't a part of any of them. Standing oddly off to the side, his childish heart yearned for companionship.
But he knew better than to try and involve himself in one of those groups. The last time ended badly enough. So, with a mind set on not interacting and a heart dismal, Shinsou sat down next to the sandbox and drew shapes in the sand with his fingers. The other children avoided him like the plague (nothing new about that), but it was noticeable to the young purple-haired child that he was gradually becoming used to it.
Shinsou was in the middle of adding legs to his rocket sand art when he heard a rather shrill voice.
"Hey you!" Shinsou flinched.
Slowly turning to the voice, Shinsou readied himself for the rather harsh words children were capable of, though it almost felt like a chore to even bother.
"What are you drawing?" Asked the shrill voice. Shinsou frowned at the source of the voice – a girl around the same age as him (obviously, they were in the same class) wearing a frock and headband that suited her petite frame nicely. She looked put-together. Unlike him with his baggy clothing.
"A rocket." Muttered the young boy. With her hands on her hips, and her brows furrowed, the young girl marched up next to the boy and judged the rocket as an art critic would. Shinsou awkwardly shuffled his feet around the area of sand untouched as he awaited the conversation's continuation (which would without a doubt be terrible).
"That's not how you draw a rocket." The little girl said firmly. Shinsou was slightly pissed. Who the hell was this girl who up and out of nowhere charged over to him, asked to see his sand art, and then judge it the way she did? But before he could get another word in, the girl sat down next to him, careful to not get her dress dirty, and started drawing her own version of a rocket next to his. With some amount of fascination (but still mainly annoyance), the little boy watched the girl draw the strangest looking rocket he'd ever seen.
Before he could stop himself, he muttered, "That's a really weird rocket." Stunned, the girl looked at him, and then chuckled. Without any warning, she suddenly bolted into the classroom, with the teachers telling her to slow down or else she'd hurt herself (she did not listen). Shinsou stared in the direction the new girl left in, before eventually turning back to the (now) two rockets in the sandbox.
Shinsou looked at both the rockets back and forth. His looked like a rocket. But so did hers. Even though it was odd. His looked like the rockets he saw in that one cartoon his mother would put at home. Hers looked...well, he didn't know what it looked like. It looked like there was a tiny airplane attached to the rocket (which looked like a stick). Why was there an airplane on the rocket? And if that wasn't confusing enough, there were two more sticks next to the main stick (which Shinsou could tell was the rocket).
The little girl furiously flipped through the pages of a few different books, determined to find a picture of a rocket to teach the boy what an actual rocket looked like (definitely not the childish one he'd drawn). Fairly soon enough, she found what she was looking for, and rushed right back outside with an even greater speed than when she rushed off to find the picture.
Just as Shinsou was about to erase the rockets to start drawing something else, a familiar shrill voice screamed, "THIS IS WHAT A REAL ROCKET LOOKS LIKE!" Confused, and not to mention slightly embarrassed by the looks he received from the kids around him, he wondered if the girl had something called tact. Clearly not as she was running towards him like a buffalo with the most crazed look he'd ever seen on a person's face.
The little girl sat down once again next to Shinsou, ever careful to not dirty her frock, and pointed at a picture that looked much like what she had drawn earlier. Shinsou was fascinated by the girl's ramblings about rockets and wondered where on Earth she'd learnt about such things.
Before he could stop himself, Shinsou asked the girl, "Why are you talking and being nice to me?"
Confused, the girl looked at him and retaliated his question with a question of her own, "Why shouldn't I?"
Shinsou pondered her words. Why shouldn't she talk to him? Why shouldn't she be friends with him? Oh right. Because eventually she'd find him to be a freak just like everyone else. So, in an attempt to sound cool and broody, he said "I've heard that curiosity killed the cat."
"But fate brought it back!"
Shinsou thought to himself that this girl who randomly popped up (somewhat literally) out of nowhere was a little weird. No scratch that. She was very weird. Typically, kids took one look at him and decided that they wanted nothing to do with him. Not this kid though. She was definitely weird.
︶꒷♡꒷︶꒷♡꒷︶꒷♡꒷︶
Y/N panted and gasped.
Her chest felt like it was on fire.
Her mind felt foggy and light.
She was late once again. And right when she said that she wouldn't be late. Shinsou would no doubt lecture her about punctuality. Ugh, screw her mind (and her severe lack of ability to run while she's at it) for getting carried away in a matter of seconds because her muscles can't keep up-
Running across one more street and crossing a corner, Y/N was finally in the home stretch of her destination – the café she and her best friend had agreed to meet up at.
And there, right in front of her eyes was the familiar mop of mesmeric purple hair she'd grown to love over the years. The figure who sported the hair had already sat down at a table for two, no doubt having saved a seat for her. He had earplugs in his ears, probably listening to music. He looked peaceful. And completely unaware of the girl planning on jumping him.
"OH MY GOD-" screamed the purple-haired man. "Y/N!"
"Hey~" Teased Y/N as she finally let Shinsou out of her deadly grasp and ruffled his hair before sitting down opposite to him.
"For fuck's sake, can't you ever greet people like a sane person?"
"But where's the fun in that? Besides, I'd never give up on a chance to sneak up on you."
Playfully pouting, Shinsou stated, "You're 9 minutes and 40 seconds (and counting) late." Sheepishly grinning, Y/N was about to explain her excuse when Shinsou said, "Let me guess, you just thought of a blueprint and got carried away with designing it and forgot about when you were supposed to leave the house?"
Y/N blinked. Curse this man who'd stolen her heart and continued to know her like the back of his hand.
Shinsou chuckled at his best friend's silence, and switched the topic. "So, how's Aeronautical Engineering coming along for our future rocket scientist?" Y/N's face morphed into one of extreme joy and immediately began her ramblings about how her university days were progressing. While the woman rambled, Shinsou couldn't help but think to himself about how pretty she looked, and how she'd barely changed since he'd first met her. Still obsessed with rockets and seemingly never running out of things to say about them. He didn't understand some of the terms she used, but he could care less. His mind was too focused on the ethereal goddess in front of him.
Somewhere along her ramblings (and after ordering a couple drinks), Y/N noticed the blissful face on Shinsou's visage and suddenly felt a little consciously aware of how she'd been talking this entire time and she'd not even once asked him how his degree was coming along. Abruptly quitting her thought process for the moment, she questioned Shinsou about how his Bachelor of Fine Arts was coming along.
A little surprised over the sudden change of topic, Shinsou composed himself quickly so that Y/N wouldn't catch him all day-dreamy over her. He explained that so far, his music composition had been great, and music performance was fairly easy as usual, but music theory did require a little more effort from his side (not that he didn't put his all into his studies, but rather they came fairly easy to him).
He talked about how his best bud Denki Kaminari who studied Sound Technology was getting more popular with his YouTube channel. Y/N was happy to hear about it since she wished the best for Kaminari (though he was closer with Shinsou than her).
The two payed for their bill and walked side by side, with plans to head to the nearby mall, with Y/N still drinking her beverage. They exchanged whatever they wanted to exchange with each other (including shenanigans from their respective friend groups).
As the two neared the main street, they stopped and clicked on the call button and waited for the countdown to indicate that they can walk so that they could cross the road and get to the mall. Once it did, the two looked both ways before starting to cross the street.
And that was when a truck blaring its horn frantically crashed into the two of them.
The whole world was spinning and ringing incessantly, and Y/N couldn't tell what was what. But she remembered Shinsou so clearly and tried to move to see him, but she couldn't. She could hear screams and the frantic voiced of many people around her. What they were saying however, managed to evade her comprehension.
Slowly, her eyes shut and she could feel herself drifting away.
The feeling was nauseatingly intrusive.
Y/N tried to lightly open her eyes, and barely registered a room so unnecessarily bright and people in green (or was it blue) with masks on their faces crowding around her. But as quickly as she opened her eyes, they begged her to shut, and her mind slowly slipped away.
God, she knew what was coming. And she wasn't ready for it at all. She needed to see him one last time.
︶꒷♡꒷︶꒷♡꒷︶꒷♡꒷︶
"I've heard that curiosity killed the cat."
"But fate brought it back!"
Y/N found herself back on that fateful day, in the same frock she wore, with the same hairband and everything. And with the same purple-haired boy in front of her. And the rockets drawn in the sand. They looked exactly as they did before.
What on Earth was happening? Was she dreaming? But this felt too real. Far too real to be a dream.
She noticed the little boy looking at her oddly, and she noticed that she wasn't saying anything and that her face had been scrunched up into a frown for who knows how long.
Immediately changing her facial expression, she decided to think about it later once she was home. Which she did. And for the life of her, she couldn't figure out what was happening. Her life was repeating. Almost the exact same way it did before (minus her own actions). It was rather horrifying. The last thing she knew, she'd been hit by a vehicle, and now she's a kid all over again.
For the first few weeks, Y/N tried to come to terms with her new situation whilst trying not to seem odd to anyone lest they realize that she isn't the same. Eventually, months later, Y/N had in fact completely come to terms with this reincarnation of hers. She still had no idea how or why this happened, but all she knew is that she had another chance at life, and more importantly, with Shinsou (who was alive and well).
And so the years went by, with Y/N obsessed with isekai manwhas (Shinsou never understanding the obsession, but found it cute and interesting that she was as obsessed with them as she was with her rockets) and her trying to keep Shinsou safe, away from harm.
However, it turned for naught as one day, she received a call from her mother who broke down and told her that Shinsou's mother had called earlier in absolute tears about how Shinsou had been on his way home on his bicycle, and had slipped and fallen into a canal and drowned. Apparently it had rained earlier and his bicycle had needed repairs, but before he could have the chance to have his bicycle fixed, he'd died.
Again.
And the strangest bit was when Y/N lied down on her bed after sobbing into her mother's arms, feeling her eyes begging to close and she could feel herself drifting away.
The feeling nauseatingly familiar.
︶꒷♡꒷︶꒷♡꒷︶꒷♡꒷︶
"I've heard that curiosity killed the cat."
"But fate brought it back!"
Y/N felt like crying, but sucked it in the best she could and tried to seem as normal as she could to Shinsou.
This was the second time this was happening. The third time she'd live this life. And she'd already failed the first two times. Miserably so.
And just like that, multiple lifetimes went by, with certain revelations occurring, but the feeling of helplessness never going away. Y/N eventually determined after dying multiple times that her lifeline was somehow connected to Shinsou's and she'd die soon after he did. And what's worse, he would always die an early death. Meaning that she followed soon after. And then the cycle would repeat.
Again.
And again.
And again.
︶꒷♡꒷︶꒷♡꒷︶꒷♡꒷︶
"I've heard that curiosity killed the cat."
"But fate brought it back!"
It was the same every time. The same words. The same little boy. The same little rockets. The same little happiness.
It never ended.

Burya Role Reversal au- full DGS/GAA2 spoilers
Aight, so now that I've finally finished the game I thought I might note down some of my thoughts of key points that would happen in this theoretical role reversal au, armed with the knowledge of what Kaz's goddamn secret was
Cut for length and/or spoilers for both games
Ryunosuke dies- so the first difference is that after Ryunosuke eats all the chicken legs there is a chicken shortage for dinner. Kazuma eagerly signs up to not have chicken for dinner as a confirmed chicken hater, and thus is the one to eat the drugged portion whereas Ryunosuke is awake to see Pavlova and get murdered
Ryunosuke is a stowaway, while being in a first class cabin does suggest the occupant is aware of his prescence maybe it was also a coincidence. Or perhaps Ryuonsuke actually met his sticky end in the corridor. Regardless the crew decides the neatest end to cover up the murder of a man who isn't even supposed to exist is actually to just dispose of the evidence rather than set up a frame job. Ryunosuke's corpse is thrown overboard* Sholmes, being the only other person who knew Ryunosuke was there, eventually helps Kazuma prove it
*undecided if in this role reversla Ryunosuke is actually dead, because regardless if youre dead when you get chucked into the ocean it's unlikley to end well. However if this is also a fake death as in canon then a few options, one, Sholmes sets up the lie (unlikely he doesn't ahve the same motivation as canon) OR a series of unlikely lucky coincidences, i.e. they're not that far from HK coastal water and a fishing boat happens to be there pretty much as Ryunosuke drops and somehow falling into the freezing ocean from height actually just gives him the shock to regain conciousness instead of, idk, breaking his ribs, accidentally breathing in water and drowning
Sholmes, knowing of both Kazuma and Susato and having been unsuccessful in suggesting Kazuma should return to Japan as a result of his friend's untimely death is very, very, eager to keep an eye on them both. Aside from the assasination threat they are the child and ward of a dear friend and Sholmes is quite worried that Kazuma is going to spin out because he's not doing so well
Kazuma never stops wearing his headband in this, it's the closest thing he's got to a memento of Ryunosuke, after all. Well, other than copies of their identical uniforms. No armband or katana inheritance here
Post McGilded Stronghart makes subtle noises aboout Kazuma killing Gregson already. Kazuma, who in his mind has so very little left to lose now (rip Susato), points out that he came to England to learn get revenge on Van Zieks and the point of the visiting students is to get sent back once done. Stronghart angrily concedes to let Kazuma attend precisely three trials before he needs to do his duty... or face a sticky end of his own
Now this is a problem with timeline in a ryunosuke lives because it implies Ryuonsuke somehow gets to england like, nearly a year before kaz does, but I like the idea that in this au Ryunosuke doesn't wind up under Van Zieks like Kazuma does, but with no memory and a fondness for literature and the english language winds up with Natsume (in his second trial) goes off looking for a lawyer for him,,, and finds Kazuma and Susato
Around the time of the Eggert Benedict trial Ryunosuke eventually (accidenally) wanders his way off to Stronghart- he is curious about British law after alll, and winds up being co-counsel for Kazuma (perhaps after Susato leaves?). A development Ryunosuke is thrilled about and Kazuma is horrified by. Especially when Stronghart comes to personall tell Kazuma actually, 3 trials is not enough, why doesn't he defend a few more :-)
Kazuma cracks and confesses to Sholmes after the eggert trial, he would tell Ryunosuke but he just got him back and doesn't want to lose his trust so soon. Sholmes bundles Gregson off ASAP, Susato is recalled to Japan
See after the Eggert Benedict Trial Kazuma's grace period is up and he's meant to start assasinating so there is a gap in trials... unfortunately Gregson has gone awol (huh how funny). Still Stronghart has leverage and Kazuma is still in a very sticky position
In the gap Kazuma is desperately trying to get Ryunosuke to return to Japan (without telling him why), Ryunosuke refuses- he may not know what's going on but Kazuma is his best friend and he made a promise. Simultaneously Sholmes is trying to get Kazuma to return to Japan (telling him why) Kazuma refuses. (He hasn't done what he came here to do yet.) Sholmes is this close to drugging him and stuffing him on a steamship, but somehow he suspects Kazuma would find a way to come back and at least Sholmes can keep an eye on him this way.
Anyway those are some of my ideas, I'm torn about a. if ryunosuke is alive and b. like while i really do like the idea of meeting him via natsume, it also is kinda too ealry so idk. Also this whole thing was actually originally meant to be about how I felt Kazuma would deal with Ryunosuke's death way worse than the other way around becuase a. he's so angry b. ryunosuke dying is much more his fault than kazuma dying being ryuonsuke's fault and c. he's so much more isolated in it becuae susato doesne't know ryuonsuke so they can't grieve together and stuff?
I also originally considered kazuma not being intersted in 1-5 but i love gaaac 1 gina so much so, BUT kazuma in this au kind of gives up on trust but that's when ryunosuke is dead. Anyway i had a lot of fun thoughts about kazuma nad gina interacting in 1-5 where Kazuma refuses to trust people nor accept anybody's trust. But if Ryuonsuke is alive.... Similiarly, the lack of interest wasbecause initially before I knew much about spoilers Kazuma was honestly just moping and working on his plan (to take down van zieks) and like didnt actually care about trials. But now where the only way he's pushing back his assasination mission by doing trials he might care more. My first thought was he holds off on trials becuase 3 isn't many... but Stronghart probably wouldn't like that. So now we have kazuma strongarmed into trials for people he might genuienly feel bad for (gina). Also gina's complete lack of trust in people and systems could mesh really intrestingy with this jaded Kazuma
Alternatively, Ryunosuke does come back in 2-3,, not 1-4/2-2 and perhaps the only thing he does remember is this guy with a katana and billowing headbands who constantly talked about reforming courts or... tldr amnesiac Ryuonsuke makes his way to Stronghart trying to chase his memories. Stronghart is like the cat who got the cream (it's not hard to see Kazuma has been spinning out about something and now this guy shows up who dresses the same...) So stronghart lets Kazuma have an extra trial, perhaps, just to push leverage
either that or around 2-3 kazuma figures out gregson had something to do with his father's death/snaps a little further and calls gregson back to london to ask about it on the pretext of thsi case. (Sholmes is... uh not happy, to put it lightly, when he finds out)
anway great thoughts

Doodle Dump (NSR Edition)
Notes + Captions Below
1-2) Primary Trio + Suplex. First sketches to the "White vs. Green" response ask. The other 3 are kinda indifferent to
3) "How does White Smoke?" I've thought about making a comic explaining how/why Desync!White smokes when he's a robot. The short answer is that 1010 actually do have a "lung," but it's function is less as a respiratory system and more of a cooling system.
Captions:
*This is a non-canon depiction of the character
Mayday: Hey professor, if 1010 is a robot? Don't you need to inhale/exhale air to smoke?
DJSS: Well, let me tell you!
4) XIO + Crew doodles. I don't think I've ever drawn XIO's crew in this AU.
5) Kun3h0!AU Doodles. Part of a comic about White asking why their outfits reveal so much skin when they're built for combat. I thought the idea and punchline were funny, but it feels kinda weird to write a an AU!Comic based on my OCs before I've ever done anything with those OCs. XP
Captions:
GAB (NJ): Hah? Are you really asking something that basic?
White: I just figured that if I'm-
6) "Headbands". An idea I had for Kliff to model different types of headbands. Left to right, top to bottom they are: Elastic, Alice, Alice (ribbon style), B-Style.
7) "Keychains". This is actually a VERY old sketch (you can tell 'cus the BG color is kinda off). Anyway, my dream is to have little keychains of these two, but I dunno who would make/want them besides me ;3;. (Maybe a handful of people, but not enough to get them seriously made XP)
8) B2J x Sanrio. Sketches of the next NSR x Sanrio set. Dunno when I'll get around to finishing it.
9-12) "Slutty?" This was the original response to the "Slutty White" ask I got.
TBH, I was kinda baffled by the ask when I first got it. Like I originally said in my response, almost every word in it was "wrong," because I don't think that I've ever shown Dsync!White as being particularly promiscuous (nor was he "absent" to his "sons." In no uncertain terms, Dsync!White is Green's abuser which, ya know, requires him to have been very involved in Green's life.)
Like, I know that some people just call characters/people "sluts" as a "joke," because it's a "naughty" word that invokes the idea that the character is sexy and sexual.
But it just rubs me the wrong way for anyone to say that about Dsync!White. I know part of it is that everything I know/think about Dsync!White isn't public, so things like how he is actually sex-repulsed (well, human-repulsed really) are things y'all don't know, but even with just what I've posted about him so far, I still don't get how anyone could take away that he was a slut.
But I figured I was just over thinking it, so I decided to roll with the "joke" at the time, but I'm really not okay with calling him a slut like it's a good thing. Like, I don't mind if people say that about Canonish!White or XIO, because they are openly sexual and are proud of it, but Dsync!White absolutely isn't.
Captions:
White: Slutty?
White: HEY! Just because I'm provacative doesn't make me a slut!
White: For the record, I've never had sex once in my 30 years of service.
Green: Never?
White: Never.
Green: Not once?
White: Not once.
This was supposed to go on a lot longer, but I already decided I didn't want to pick a fight with anon that probably just didn't know any better and turned the first panel into the response I posted.

You have some great metas about fire nation family! I had some trouble grasping their dynamic (like nuances of abuse) but now it is a lot clearer. However, there was some stuff that I felt was lacking in Zuko's arc in book 3 compared to books 1 and 2 and was wondering what is your opinion about this. 1) It felt like the main reason he decided to cut ties during DOBS was because he didn't find the beloved home he wanted. It came of as if his family did actually care about him and he felt /1/
and loved, like with Iroh, he wouldn't leave. 2) His arc during first half of book 3 felt kind of aimless? It didn't feel like he was gradually progressing or regressing. Even hiring assassin doesn't seem to have any impact on him, there's barely any build up and no follow up. it just happens. He was stomping the same place until the writers decided it was time for him to leave. 4) I feel like they were kind of pushing his bad boy persona excessively during first half. Sure, he had his /2/
moments in previous books but this time it gave very different vibes, kind of edgy and cartoonish (The Headband for example), hairstyle was really on the nose. I know it is supposed to be him at his worst but the way it was conveyed was weird. 5) Do you think fire family needed more screentime or was it enough for viewers to get the gist of their dynamic? Would it benefit from flashing out? Or, if nor fire family, then fire nation politics, generals or nobles. I thought it was disappointing /3/
Zuko never got a close look at any of it or interacted with them, or even seeing the effect of war on his people, like villagers.  Sorry, if it's too long. If you don't feel like answering, that's cool./4/
Hi!
A lot of the questions you have are common complaints I've seen about Zuko's book three arc, and I both agree in some ways and disagree with those complaints. I'll try to address everything because there's a lot in your asks.
To address your first question, I agree that in some ways Zuko's main reason for cutting ties with his family was not feeling loved. The question then becomes, if he did find the love and acceptance he wanted, would he have left the Fire Nation at all?
This is a really interesting question, I think. I do think that a large part of Zuko's motivation for leaving was realizing that he was never going to get the love and acceptance from his family that he wanted. The question you're asking seems to be: does that diminish his leaving because it was the right thing to do for the world?
And I would say the answer to that is yes and no, in some ways. I can definitely see the complaint there, especially combined with some of your other questions about how the show could have spent more time having Zuko engage with Fire Nation politics.
I think when you have this kind of narrative, there is a danger of putting too much focus on the personal rather than the ethical in a broader sense. Zuko's conflict deals a lot with his personal relationship with his father, especially, and his confrontation with Ozai in DOBS definitely focuses a lot on that. I see what you mean, it makes it seem like Zuko's motivation for leaving was more about himself than about saving the world, which could be seen as diminishing his redemption arc because his motivation becomes more about himself than about the world.
I can see that criticism, but I've also said before that Zuko's personal narrative conflict and the conflict with how he feels about the world / his role in the war are strongly interconnected. It's difficult to separate Zuko the abused child from Zuko the prince of the Fire Nation who tried to capture the Avatar because those two things exist together. It's not just that Zuko realized that capturing the Avatar wasn't going to get him the love that he wanted, it's about Zuko realizing that the way he was treated by his family was horrible, and that ties into Zuko's realization that the way the Fire Nation was treating the rest of the world was horrible, too. This is a slow process that builds throughout Zuko's narrative in all three seasons. Think of Song, who was burned in the war. Zuko listening to these people talk about their own suffering - suffering that Zuko could personally relate to - not only helped him realize how bad the war was, it helped him realize that the things his father did to him were wrong, and not his fault.
Another thing I'd add to that is that Zuko DID receive acceptance when he went back to the Fire Nation. By his own words, he has everything he always wanted.
Zuko: I admit it, I have everything I always wanted, but it's not as all how I thought it would be. The truth is, I need your advice. I think the Avatar is still alive, I know he's out there, I'm losing my mind. Please, Uncle, I'm so confused I need your help. ("The Headband")
Zuko: For so long I thought that if my dad accepted me, I'd be happy. I'm back home now, my dad talks to me. Ha! He even thinks I'm a hero. [Close-up of Azula, who smiles.] Everything should be perfect, right? I should be happy now, but I'm not. [Turning back to the others.] I'm angrier than ever and I don't know why! ("The Beach")
Now, I've also talked about how a lot of Zuko's anger and confusion and unhappiness comes from the fact that Ozai and Azula are gaslighting him. He knows on an emotional level that his father's love and acceptance of him is conditional and that Ozai will hurt and manipulate him to suit his own ends, and that's the real reason he feels unhappy even though his dad talks to him, praises him, even. Even though he has servants and palanquins and a girlfriend and status and is hailed as a hero.
Notice also that in both scenes he talks about being a hero for supposedly killing Aang. Part of that is guilt for being given credit for something he didn't do, and part of it is also knowing that he's being manipulated, that this secret can be used to hurt him. When he talks to Iroh he says he feels like he's losing his mind. Gaslighting makes you question the reality of what you have actually experienced, which makes a victim malleable to suggestion as a manipulation tactic. Zuko feels like he's going crazy because the reality he has experienced doesn't match what everyone around him is telling him is true.
If you wanted to connect this back to Zuko realizing that he's unhappy for ethical reasons, what Iguess I would have done if I were writing it is focus more on how Zuko feels about being given credit for "killing" Aang, and the prospect that Aang might still be alive, beyond what it does for him personally, and have him reflect more on how it affects the world. I think the show does touch on this. In "The Beach," the conclusion he comes to as an answer to why he is angry is that he doesn't know the difference between right and wrong anymore. This is a particularly interesting revelation because it kinda leads us to ask if Zuko ever knew the difference between right and wrong, since he started out doing what was wrong. But the difference is that before, Zuko was SURE that what he was doing was right. Of course we know that Zuko does have some intrinsic ability to distinguish between right and wrong, especially when he questions the Fire Lord as a thirteen year old, but he didn't dwell on it too much because he thought the Fire Nation was right, and he HAD to believe that as a coping mechanism for his trauma. I feel like what we don't talk about enough is the inherent trauma of living in a fascist regime, and how fascist values aren't just about politics and international relations, they are rotten to the core. We see this in post-Sozin Fire Nation not just in everything with the war, but the generational rot that passes down through the Fire Nation royal family.
The fact that Zuko says he doesn't know the difference between right and wrong might look like he's backsliding, and indeed that's how I see a lot of people interpret it. But really, it's a sign that he's starting to figure things out. He's past following orders without question. He's past trying to put so much confidence in his actions that he doesn't ask questions about right and wrong. He's past dissociating as a way of coping with trauma. It's asking the questions that lead us to do the right thing.
Again, if I were writing this and I wanted to make it more clear that Zuko also has realized that saving the world is important, I would maybe show that he's realized how important the Avatar's role in the world is. I think we are meant to see that he is realizing this, but it could be more explicit. I know the assassin subplot gets a lot of criticism, and in a lot of ways rightly so, particularly the criticisms of Combustion Man as a racist caricature that has very little thought put into him. I made a post recently talking about how 9/11 influenced Avatar, and here we have a one-dimensional villain character very clearly inspired by orientalist tropes who...blows stuff up, eugh.
But I've also said that I don't think it's entirely out of character or makes Zuko irredeemable or like he's backsliding. His insecurity about it is both a sign that he's an abused kid who is terrified of what might happen should the truth come out that he didn't kill Aang, and a sign that he's trying to deal with confusing feelings about knowing what the right thing to do is. Hiring an assassin is something that I think he thinks will end those confusing feelings, but it also shows that he doesn't have the guts to try and go after Aang himself. Which is morally questionable because on one hand, if Zuko hires someone to kill Aang, he can distance himself from the act itself: it happens far away from him while he's living it up in the palace. But on the other hand it shows that Zuko himself isn't a killer. Hiring the assassin was an attempt to get rid of those confused/guilty feelings and reassure himself that he was where he was supposed to be, but to the audience it only emphasizes that he is just denying the truth that he already knows. We want to see Zuko make the right decision in the end, so showing him help rescue the gaang from Combustion Man was satisfying.
If I were writing it, I would maybe find a way to make Zuko's confused feelings and guilt more clear, and connect it to Zuko realizing that Aang's life is important for the world. You could do that very easily by inserting a three second scene of Zuko overhearing someone say something about it, maybe a general making a comment about how with the Avatar dead, nothing will stop Fire Nation expansion, while the camera closes in on Zuko's confused/guilty face. There are some times where the show does this very well, like here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which you might not get if you weren't familiar with Nazi imagery, but that's %100 what this is referencing. This is the scene where Zuko is announced as a hero in the Fire Nation for killing Aang. It's not explicit, but we are supposed to get that Zuko is realizing in these moments exactly what the Fire Nation is. The title of this episode is "The Awakening," and it's relevant not just to Aang's story, but Zuko's.
I also would have maybe had more scenes of him reflecting on what happened in the caves with Katara (and not just because I love zutara!) Maybe have Azula question what happened between Zuko and Katara while they were imprisoned. A question the show never answers is why Azula decided to imprison them together, and she's smart enough to have possibly put two and two together when she figures out that Zuko knows something she doesn't about the Avatar's survival. She also clearly recognized Zuko's hesitation when he had to make a decision about whose side to fight on in the caves, as she gives him a look of satisfaction when he chooses to fight against Aang. That implies that she knows there is a possibility he would have fought FOR Aang, so what is going on there? Azula would have to be curious. This would be a good opportunity for ZUKO to explore what he really felt about what happened and whose side he should be on.
Going back to your question, do I think that Zuko would have defected if he had felt love and support from his family, even knowing what the Fire Nation was doing to the world? It's a good question, and a hard one to answer. A lot of people are capable of doing bad things and supporting a bad system if they feel comfortable in their own lives. I think Zuko would have possibly still felt bad about what was going on, because he is a person with an intrinsic moral code, but been able to rationalize it to himself. I've read some interesting articles analyzing Zuko from a personality perspective, and most people type him as an INFP on the MBTI, and INFPs are idealists, but they can fall into the trap of being out of touch with reality if they focus on the wrong ideals. This is definitely Zuko as a villain.
I also think that Zuko's nightmare in "The Earth King" gives us an idea of what Zuko might have been like as Fire Lord if he had never had a redemption arc. In his dream, he sees himself on the throne, unscarred, but being pulled in two different directions. And part of his conflict here is meant to represent his current situation, but I think even if he never experienced all the things in his exile he would still be conflicted in some ways, but he would be more able to dissociate with those feelings. A Zuko who had never experienced the real world might believe he is doing things for the good, but be easily led by his councilors, his father, and his sister if he were on the throne, and I think that's part of what the dream he has is meant to show. I also believe that if Ozai ever wanted Zuko on the throne, it is as someone who could be easily controlled. I think that dream specifically is also meant to be a parallel to what we learn about the situation with King Kuei, which happens in the same episode. Zuko could very easily end up in a similar situation, as a puppet king unaware of the horrible things that were happening under his rule, complicit through ignorance or apathy.
Even though Zuko's confrontation with Ozai is about how his father personally wronged him, which makes sense since that's what Zuko would mostly talk to his father about, he does connect how he was treated to how the Fire Nation is treating the rest of the world:
Zuko: For so long, all I wanted was for you to love me, to accept me. I thought it was my honor I wanted, but really, I was just trying to please you. You, my father, who banished me just for talking out of turn. [Points a broadsword at his father.] My father, who challenged me, a thirteen-year-old boy, to an Agni Kai. [Cuts to shot of Ozai, looking angered.] How could you possibly justify a duel with a child?
Ozai: [Scornful.] It was to teach you respect!
Zuko: It was cruel! And it was wrong.
Ozai: [Angrily.] Then you have learned nothing!
Zuko: No, I've learned everything! And I've had to learn it on my own! Growing up, we were taught that the Fire Nation was the greatest civilization in history. And somehow, the War was our way of sharing our greatness with the rest of the world. What an amazing lie that was. The people of the world are terrified by the Fire Nation. They don't see our greatness. They hate us! And we deserve it! [Camera view shows top profile of Zuko and Ozai through an overhead grate.] We've created an era of fear in the world. And if we don't want the world to destroy itself [Cuts to shot of Zuko.], we need to replace it with an era of peace and kindness.
Zuko does talk about how he was personally wronged by Ozai, but then when Zuko talks about what he's learned, he only talks about the world. He's able to take his personal experiences and connect it to a greater sense of global awareness. When Zuko talks about how he believed the Fire Nation was the greatest civilization in the world and how they expected the people of the other nations to see it that way, too, but instead they are hated and feared, he could also be talking about himself, not only in his relationship to his nation but in his relationship to a father who he loved and also feared, but the fact that he doesn't focus on himself does show that he's realized that it's not just about him, that it's about the world.
The fact that Zuko is also willing to give up his relationship with Mai specifically to help the world also shows that he's realized that this isn't just about him, but I've also written about how this probably would have been more impactful if the show were able to make his relationship with Mai actually seem like something to root for, which I don't think it does a very good job of.
Zuko seeming edgy and cartoonish doesn't bother me too much because the show has always toed the line between parody and sincerity, and for the most part, they do it really well. Also, have you ever met a teenage boy? When you're a teenager, your relationship with your parents really does feel like it's on the same level as the world coming to an end. All fiction of this genre is meant to be taken as a metaphor for real life, that's why there are so many young adult stories about kid heroes who are the last hope for survival, because that's how it feels when you're a kid trying to navigate an adult world.
I do think the show would have benefitted from having Zuko interact with his own people more in a political context, especially the people on the ground rather than the nobles. But we did see enough of that in "The Painted Lady" that we, the audience, can apply it to what Zuko has learned and assume that this would be part of his education as the new Fire Lord. Still, it would have been neat to see him experience this for himself.
As for more Fire family dynamics? Sure. Most of what we know about Ozai's relationship with Zuko can be extrapolated from Ozai's relationship with Azula, which is one of the big reasons the narrative didn't have time for an Azula redemption. If there had been a fourth season of the show, I would have expected more development of Ozai as a character concurrently with a possible Azula redemption.

nfadsnfldsf I love you, too <3 [swtor asks!]
2. Who's your main?
Will Smith showoff.meme. Why, my sonboy, of course!
Tumblr media
It's Tyr, lol. My bestest double agent son. He's who I do everything with first, generally speaking; my initial playthrough for him on Star Forge is where I currently have him at pace with the story patches, and, ofc, when I decided I was going to replay him on Satele Shan, he's... the favorite child. I'd tell you not to tell my other ocs, but I think we're all well aware he's the chosen son, lol.
7. A class you haven't played (much) of yet?
In my heart, I want to say Trooper, but technically I suppose it's really Bounty Hunter. I never actually completed BH's vanilla story on Star Forge before I started up my Satele Shan playthroughs, but I have, technically, done Trooper's 1-50 twice because I have one on each server. Then again, Len (my SS BH) is in the early chapters of KOTET, so I've actually done more content with him, but I'd probably have to pull play-time in game to give you an accurate answer.
I've not been much of a military action enthusiast, so Trooper's story, while still par for the rest of the class stories, is way more of a slog for me, so if we flip this to which one am I going to play more readily? Bounty Hunter. So, eventually, it'll likely leave Trooper here.
23. One item not in-game that you'd like to see?
Well, topically, yesterday I was poking around at the lightsaber pikes available and I could have sworn we had a Zakuul-style one available, maybe Senya's? Searching for it tells me I'm not losing my marbles, it must just be out of rotation at the moment, but I'd like to get that and maybe put together some Zakuulan armor for Rhystyl when I get him a bit further into KOTXX, since he'll be the primary face of the Alliance between him and Savosta.
And at least so far I haven't run into quite what I'm looking for, but something like the Remote Outcast's headpiece, but... just the lower face covering. Similarly - and I know this one risks clipping issues, but stick with me a moment - I've also kinda itched for a pair of goggles that sit a little higher, like Koth wears his more as a headband piece than over the eyes. Short of a helmet toggle like in FFXIV, lol, I'd like that as an option. I wanna see my character's faces usually because I love them, hence the goggles, but there's also a few looks I'd just like the more subtle covering for. I have too many Agents.
25. One species not playable that you'd love to play?
I have two thoughts, but topical to GS4 just releasing, I'd like to see more of the Selonians. They don't really fit to the whole 'more or less human with some tweaks' theme for playable races, so playing as one is probably a stretch and I bet it'd take Work, but what I've seen so far of them in-game is neat and I wanna know more.
27. Favorite companion?
I mean, probably Theron. :P My endless excited tippy-taps when I get to play Shadow of Revan are largely because that's when I get Theron back, lol.
31. Best class storyline finale?
I'm biased, absolutely, but it's Agent. And I have played all of them, lol. Like, please, I am absolutely biased, but I do also genuinely believe Agent has some of the best consistency and carry-over between chapters of all 8 classes. The multiple variances to the ending based on your previous choices, the little hazards/puzzles... I could be here for a while, but if I had to boil it down, it feels very Agent - not that the Sith stories don't know how they end, but Agent benefits from me liking the dramatic spy action movies, lol.
And it just. factors in so much of your previous experience. It genuinely feels like the ultimate of Nine's career. Everything has lead you here. Nothing is ever going to be the same. Even if you win, even if you walked away, nothing is the same. It absolutely recolors the entire rest of the game viewed through the lens of the Star Cabal. That's fucking epic.
35. Thoughts on Revan?
I don't have KOTOR context, so SWTOR Revan's all I've known. I generally skip the mid-late game flashpoints (Taral V/Maelstrom, and Boarding Party/Foundry, particularly the Foundry) after just. How much I play and how many characters I have, lol. The Foundry I avoid mostly on the grounds that HK's fight is a pain in the ass. Anyway, off-topic.
I've overall enjoyed him. I don't think he overstays his welcome in the narrative and Revan's story is definitely one I'd fall in love with. The only thing that holds me back from going to do KOTOR myself is I already have such a cranky time trying to run Dragon Age Origins, lol, and also I'm a creature of habit so I already have SWTOR, lol. I have fond, if slightly muddled, memories of doing the Republic FPs with my Jedi Consular for the first time and it being kind of big for me because Revan's struggle is so big and you get the impression that so much rode on his decisions either way, and my Consular was just like '... let me help. Let. me. help.' (He's like that.)
Anyway, I guess sorta... long story short, Shadow of Revan is one of my favorite expansions, I never fail to find it interesting regardless of which class I tackle it with. It's not necessarily all because it's Revan and I'll cede that I generally agree that Star Wars as a whole is a bit obsessed with legacies and I think sometimes that's detrimental (and sometimes completely counterproductive to all you work for, looking at things as a Cipher agent, lol - stop telling everyone I'm alive challenge @ the Imperial Military).
I will look forward to a KOTOR remake if it ever does actually come? I keep hearing rumblings about it, but the last few times I've followed game releases to the letter it's been a Process, lol. so I'm coasting on the fringes of whatever's up with that.
40. Favorite world boss?
I'd say I've never done world bosses, but there is a fun story I can share. When baby didn't know what a world boss was, I did once sneak over and poke the Lance Squadron Command on Yavin IV and, predictably, got melted in like less than a minute. So, technically, I've seen them, lol. Oh and Lucky was hanging around on Corellia that one time I was doing Dread Seed stuff and I was praying to whatever powers that were listening I'd get very lucky and would go unnoticed, ha ha, which, yes. I survived that encounter with Lucky none the wiser. Tell Acina she owes me hazard pay. Anyway. xD
Choosing on looks alone then, I like the snow kitties. I'd like to pet Snowblind if I didn't think they would nuke my flimsy little Operative ass in like a minute.
47. Your greatest moment in-game to date?
Hmmm... that's a tough one? There was this one time I was on one of my lower level characters doing Hammer Station in group finder and I totally forgot about the Rocket Boost thing to get over the gap as groups usually skip certain trash packs there, so I went plummeting to my death in front of 3 total strangers and I could NOT stop laughing because one of them made like an 'ah wayward padawan' comment and explained stealth or rocket boosts and it was. I just had a good laugh, lol.
Uhh... silly stories aside kind of though, probably @captainderyn and I having flashpoint adventures together with Era and Tyr? xD We did Kuat Drive Yards together last which I don't think either of us had ever done, so we mopped the floor of most of the dungeon and then we got to the boss lol and we had a moment trying to piece together the mechanics and then we kicked absolute ass and it was just REALLY fun to no pressure explore and learn and conquer - part of what I did enjoy about doing extreme fights in FFXIV when I did was having those moments where you all compare your mental notes and getting that aHA of figuring out the mechanic, but also we just had. a really good time about memeing on the final hallway because we had some uh... some big guy with bombs and a small army of reinforcements as our final encounter and we'd been largely two Operatives stealthing around to our objectives before but that hallway before the boss had nothing. And you just knew.
So, long story short, we joked the hallway was empty because the boss had to pull all the reinforcements back to deal with us and that they were all busy hiding in the ceiling, lol. I sadly don't have anything from inside our Kuat adventures, but I do have Tyr and Era slaying in one of the initial cutscenes.
Tumblr media
Flashpoints are more fun with friends. xD Hoping to do a lot more silly flashpoint shenanigans in the future : D

shake n bake alabamia (bnha) s2e4-5 let's find out what a fucking cavalry battle is
yeah yeah 80% of the world is superheroes ever since the shiny nation attacked wtf is a cavalry battle I don't wanna google it I want you to tell me -- reel 'em in with the melody (skipskipskip)
"I want you to tell them 'I am here!' mow it in the lawn if you have to!"
deku I think it might take a little more than luck to drag a hunk of metal with you a whole race and then figure out a way to use it to go really fast right at the end. people keep underselling themselves in this.
…these are some weird rules. also holy shit this looks unsafe with the headbands around the neck. are they actually supposed to carry each other? how the hell are they sposed to get the headbands? -- "you'll get a red card for trying to make people fall over" ?????????????????????? I started this episode with one question and I keep getting more. also it's hard enough to get kids with quirks not to try to kill each other, how in fuck do you decide whether an "attack" is meant to get someone to fall?
dude. I know healing powers exist but still, why are they letting you smoke indoors, and right in people's faces no less
"how do you not know your own class's powers???" 'XD vegeta gonna vegeet
flying horse? not sure what other plan there is with uraraka tbh -- well, it's not like this is that different from deku's plan with picking iida -- (I keep trying to remember the gadgeteer girl's name from danganronpa 3 so I can call hatsume that but tbph maybe that's for the best anyway)
"I just need one more person" WHAT ARE THE RULES OF THIS GAME, THE DIAGRAM SHOWED THREE PEOPLE -- dontbeminetadontbeminetadontbemineta -- birdman, yesssssss, this oughta be cool (also it's not mineta thank fuck)
oh fuck, part of me wants to see todoroki win. it helps that iida is on his team (even tho I'm a little disappointed about this "I'm your rival now too" thing)
really, tsu? mineta? : /
that's literally one of the butler bot npc's from the paris map I stg (like granted it's not a complicated design but still)
Tumblr media
"before we get deku, let's kill all these guys (who are literally just playing the hand they were dealt with half a brain)" easy there vegeets, you get red flags that way -- I guess props to class A for figuring out, between them, how to set up a team that lets bakugo do whatever he wants; for sure, no team with him in it is going to last longer than it takes for him to fall off otherwise
"I shift Shoji into attack mode and attack your headbands directly!"
"team midoriya has nowhere left to go!" WHAT. ARE. THE. RULES. TO. THIS. GAME. is this fucking calvinball, or does every high school in japan play this and somehow it's never shown up in any other anime I've heard of, or what?
…we just did this. didn't we just do this last episode? -- oh, cool. hell, I feel like they're trying to set up neito as a dick but I don't see much reason not to like him yet
neito gotta stop pushing them buttons or we're gonna need a backup planet
o_o dang, wasn't expecting iida to even have chips to put in
sigh "the difference between having goals you can plan for and just bloodymindedly grasping for the moon while answering everything but perfection with violence" so disappointingly american
I wasn't really reading too close when they explained how the points work, but it is pretty damn weird that there's a ten million point headband and (judging by the margins on the scoreboard) no others that even go up to ten thousand. damn near rowlingesque; hell, even the snitch could be overtaken (granted, only by somebody willingly throwing the game)
"Tokoyami!" "Kaminari!" "DEKUUUU!" "Bakugo!" Donkey!
"TIME UP!" bakugo faceplants 'XDDDDDD shouldn'ta got sidetracked, vegeet
…wait when did gamzee get here. did neito throw his points to him? was this a relay race pony express shell game thingy??? we still don't know what shinso's mOtHeRfUcKiNg quirk is yet
CONSOLATION POINTS TO GRIFFINPUFF. good show, birdman, good show
hm. interesting convos in next episode, I expect. officially learning some things about todoroki and endeavor. gonna have to be next time, unfortunately; 's late.

Review: Miraculous "Bunnyx" Fashion doll from Playmates Toys
So, I finally bought myself a Bunnyx doll! You may recall back in March I made a post about my sister's Bunnyx doll, who is from the initial U.S. release. I thought she was really cute, but she had an issue with her neck (which I somehow forgot to mention in that post) which nearly all dolls from that initial wave had, that I hoped would be fixed with later waves.
And then I proceeded to forget about her for eight months until I saw she was on sale, oops. I purchased her for $11 USD on Amazon, but she retails for $16.99.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here she is in her box, which is the new design with a rainbow across the front and information about the character on the back. The information is somewhat correct, except it says "Transformation phase" instead of "Transformation Phrase" (this typo was fixed for the upcoming Cosmobug doll's box, and I assume it'll be fixed on the others at a later point) and that she learns she'll get a Miraculous after being akumatized. She doesn't actually learn about it until the season 3 episode "Timetagger".
Tumblr media
I noticed that at the bottom of her box, there was a sticker with a QR code. I scanned it with my phone camera, (Okay… I scanned it with Google Lens. My phone isn't fancy enough to scan QR codes) and it took me to the movie page of the Miraculous Ladybug website, with a teaser for the movie. Not really a trailer, but still neat.
Here's the link, if you're interested:
https://miraculousladybug.com/en/movie
Tumblr media
Here she is right out of the box. She comes with her headband and her kwami, Fluff. Like Vesperia, she also comes with a catalogue, advertising the rest of the Miraculous toy line from Playmates Toys.
As a quick note, she was packaged slightly differently from my sister's Bunnyx. Unlike my sister's Bunnyx, the plastic shell she was attached to didn't go up to her head, and so she didn't have a plastic tab punctured through her head! This was a pleasant surprise, as I strongly dislike those tabs in the heads.
Tumblr media
Here's Bunnyx's full outfit. She, like all the other heroes, has a one piece suit with separate shoes. Her suit is blue and white with black trim, and at her neck, a white… pom-pom? I'm not sure what it is, to be honest. It reminds me of both a rabbit's tail, and Cat Noir's bell. I do wish her suit covered her ankles, but I like the overall look. She wears white boots. Without the headband and neck-tail, I'm not sure if I'd get "rabbit" from it.
Her hands are bare, but for some reason it never bothered me as much as the ankles showing.
Unfortunately, she does not have her Miraculous, a pocket watch, or her weapon, an umbrella. I suppose I could suspend disbelief and pretend her pocketwatch is in her… well, pocket, like in the show, but I don't understand why she doesn't have her weapon. If size was an issue, they could've done it like Draculaura's parasol, from Mattel's Monster High line. Her parasol was molded in a closed position.
Due to the gel in her hair, I can barely get the headband on her, and even when I do, it doesn't sit completely down on her head.
She has 15 points of articulation, with movement at her:
Neck
Shoulders
Double-jointed elbows
Wrists (which only swivel)
Hips
Double-jointed knees
Her joints are pretty tight, and she doesn't have the neck issue that the initial U.S. wave had, where the peg is stiff and angled sideways to where the head is half off the neck and can only move sideways.
Tumblr media
Here's a closeup of Bunnyx's face. I really like it!
Bunnyx has blue eyes, pink lips, and a blue, white, and black mask. I do think her eyes should have a reflective dot in them, but I've gotten used to the look.
My particular doll unfortunately has a paint defect on the bottom left (our right) of her mask, where the black outline is smudged. I haven't decided whether to try and fill it in or leave it alone yet.
She has short red hair with loose curls gelled into a solid piece. It is completely rock solid. I kid you not. I thought my sister's Bunnyx's hair was hard, but this is even harder than hers. She doesn't seem to really have the short side bangs my sister's Bunnyx has. I can't really tell through all the gel, but I'm curious if her bangs were changed to be longer, like the rest of her hair, or if they're just so gelled to the side they appear longer.
Tumblr media
Here's her headband off of her head. It's mostly white, but the insides of the ears are blue. It looks nice when I can get it on her head! It has four prongs, which I assume is to help keep it in place, but I feel like it makes it harder to get on. It's pretty simple, but pulls her outfit together.
Tumblr media
And here's her kwami, Fluff. I think she looks… interesting. She is mostly white, with blue eyes, and the insides of her ears are also blue. She has two long whiskers on her face, but they're so thick they look like a mustache. I would've preferred her umbrella over Fluff.
Tumblr media
Overall, I really like Bunnyx! I'd give her a B+. I wish she came with her Miraculous and umbrella, even if it had to be molded closed, and Fluff looks strange. The paint defect on my doll is what kept her from being an A-. If minor paint issues don't bother you, or you can purchase one in-store, I would definitely recommend her.

Hello! I've decided to draw three pieces that could potentially be made into real accessories in the future. I themed them after what else, PALEONTOLOGY!!! Here are some details about the pieces I made.
Tumblr media
Henodus Fascinator Headband
Henodus was a large, herbivorous, brackish water, marine reptile from the late Triassic. Despite looking a lot like a turtle, it is not closely related to modern turtles and tortoises. I thought it looked like some ostentatious headwear, so I tried to design it as such.
Tumblr media
Sinosauropteryx Suitcase!
Did you know that paleontologists actually figured out the coloration of Sinosauropteryx? It had similar coloration to a red panda. I thought a faux fur handle and striped sides would really add to the look
Tumblr media
Carboniferous Heeled Loafers
The texture on the heel is supposed to resemble scale tree bark and there are dragonfly wing details on the front. I wouldn't reccomend walking in a swampy forest with these, so I don't think they neccisarily suit the epoch in anything other than aesthetics.

Pictured above is the program for church service at our local church (week of 5/12-5/18 2024), and when I read it (not someone who goes to church because I don't fit in the local congregation) I found I really liked how it was handled.
The big idea for this week's sermon is "Can a Christian be Gay or Trans"? (Or support those who are?)
TL;DR the sermon was well handled, if the program was any indication, and says "Don't Hate Gays for Being Gay!", and "Gender Transition isn't going to help people, but if they choose to take that plunge you are not to make their life worse; but also because Gender Culture can and has hurt people without making anything better we should probably help people separate the lies from the truth and letting them make their own decisions and choices", while reminding us "We are supposed to love our neighbors/enemies as we do ourselves, as God would want us to do and as He does us.", but in more detail.
Also, if you decide to look into this post, expect discomfort, whiplash, and rants. No holds barred. No section written completely in order.
I'll transpose sections of both program and personal thoughts directly as I write this.
Opening Cautions
This is a personal topic for many of us, let's approach it delicately.
Reminder: this series is "can a Christian..." [and] not "can a person..." (1 Corinthians 5:9-13)
[I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a [Believer in Christ] but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.
12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”] New International Version
It is crucial that we seek to take the log out of our own eye before offering to take the splinter out of our neighbor's eye (Matthew 7:3-5)
[3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.] NIV
Personal thoughts: The two bible verses here, which I've copy-pasted through a quick google search, bring up liars and hypocrisy. The general meaning brought up in First Corinthians is "Don't judge people who don't know better, we're not here to be the chat police on the people who don't know the standards we are being held to. But if someone says they're a Christian, but don't live up to the hype, don't bother. They're lying and probably trying to drag you into shit and you should just cut them out of your life because they will drag you down with them for the hell of it."
That covers Corinthians, so what about what Matthew is saying here?
Basic meaning? "Don't be a pot calling the kettle black." as the old saying goes. Or to be a little more internet-focused, "Why hate the guy with the furry-ears headband when you're prancing around in a fursuit? And why try to help fix his problem when yours is so much worse?"
Do you hate that I'm saying this? That it implies you might get called out by Jesus as a Pharisee - a hide-bound lip-service "believer" who sticks more to the rules than the message?
First: Get a life. Truth is Truth and we're supposed to support that.
Second: if I'm calling you out, then that's between you and God. Bring it up with Him and He'll direct you to ways to actually fix it. And then maybe let you fail to fix it on your own merits.
Can a Christian... Be Gay?
Direct Teaching: God created humans with opposite genders, and for sex to be enjoyed between opposite genders in a life-long covenant relationship (Genesis 2:21-25; matthew 19:3-6; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11)
3 Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?”
4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a] 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’[b]? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
[direct mentions of Genesis chapters one and two]
21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs[a] and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib[b] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. | 23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’  for she was taken out of man.” 24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
[Verse 25 is irrelevant here, and this is basically a Magic-Not-Science explanation for sexual dimorphism for the early Jews, because they didn't really know what science was when Genesis was being written, and that a number of today's egotistical anthropologists would consider anyone before Egypt as an uncultured primitive. Also, I was advised to not leave in that last part, but it's not like I'm being completely inaccurate.]
9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Wisdom: What do you mean by "gay"?
Experiencing same-sex attraction.
Engaging in same-sex activity.
Identifying as part of the gay community.
The Point: All of us experience different temptations. The question is not whether or not someone experiences a specific temptation, but how they think about and respond to that temptation.
Personal thoughts: This one is harder for me to parse. But then everything about the logistics of love and romance are difficult for me to explain and understand.
What is most obvious from the get-go, however, is that different people have different tastes, and of course, how they go about chasing those tastes.
Obvious, extreme example ahoy: Rape can happen among (both by and to) men and women. And extra-marital sex - or for the more worldly, cheating on your partner - is a bad way to respond, and certainly not a Christian one.
And while using Matthew 19:6 to argue for polyamory is certainly possible, the biggest and best way to separate fact from fiction in a truth-based (supposedly or actually) religion is to go straight to the source material. In DnD, that's the Monster's Manual or the DM's Manual, etc. In Christianity, that's the Bible. And if there's conflict between multiple sources (NIV vs NLV vs King James versions, as an example) then try to find the most direct translation.
I'll be honest, I really want to take a tangent and bring up noted inconsistencies between the source materials of other religions, including Islam and some "Christian" cults) and the actual message they say they send, but I need to stay focused on the sermon program in front of me. Also I don't actually have the passages in question lined up already and I don't want to put in the effort to do that. Plus, love your neighbors even if you think they're wrong. Mostly because that's not the point here, and partly because I might be wrong.
Back to business: I'm not sure how to handle Corinthians chapter 6 (like I know how to handle anything in this section right?), but one of the big points here is how Luke is calling out to members of a church in Corinth, people that are choosing to become better people now that they are Christians; people who are being shown how to become better people, and are probably not having a good time right now with their non-Christian friends, who are probably making fun of them (and significantly worse) because they're "No Fun Anymore", because they're not going out and getting completely sloshed together, or are having qualms about tricking people out of their hard-earned savings, or just not having a whole lotta sex and sleeping around anymore, etc. There's a lotta things here that we villify in the U.S. today, and I'm not willing to sacrifice any kind of moral standing I have right now by editing the truth/source material, and we all agree that (excepting the Gays) everything on this list deserves to be there. So how do I handle their inclusion on the list?
I can see multiple reasons for their placement on this list, both good and bad. Some men might justify that Sex = Good, but Unexpected Kid = Bad, and Homosexual Sex = No Kid = Good! as one reason - though that also gives some a-holes "licence" to do terrible things to other men (rape, abuse, other mentally scarring things) and also sexual immorality such as sleeping around or cheating on your partner "without consequences", et cetera.
On the flip side argument, as just one, we have Eugenics. Which is good and bad for many reasons - the Good for passing on genes and lineages and so on, the bad for the fact that unlike animals our DNA has no error-checking whatsoever, and honestly just look it up and prepared to be incredibly horrified at what some people think and accept, even today. (including the FUCKING HOLOCAUST as one of the bad things.)
And now we move on to the next bit.
Can a Christian be trans?
Direct Teaching: God created us male or female, and we are to present ourselves as such (See above, and Deuteronomy 22:5)
Going back to the Hebrew, the literal translation of Deuteronomy 22:5 is: “Never cause or force a warriors weapon to be used by a woman or weak person; neither dress warriors armor on a woman or weak person for to Yahweh, God of Host, disgusting is such that do so.” Note the word used in Hebrew tow`ebah, [link]
To "transition" means to change something about yourself to reflect the gender you identify with:
Social: changing the way you dress and behave.
Hormonal: taking puberty blockers or hormone therapy.
Surgical: Having one or several procedures to change your anatomy.
The Point: the message of our culture is: healing can be found by changing your body to match your feelings; Christianity says: healing isn't found that way.
Personal thoughts:
I feel how we change and mark our bodies (tattooes, gender reassignment, etc) is up to us and our choices, because God respects our choices, and our right to make them. He gave us that right, and sticks to that self-given rule. (and if you bring up the Garden of Eden? He planned on Lucifer trying to fuck up His creations, He gave Adam and Eve the choice. That they didn't know the consequences of that choice is immaterial to this point - do we even know the consequences of our actions, half the time? Or most of the time? - He gave them a rule, He planted the Trees of Life and Knowledge without any particular barriers preventing them from eating from them beyond His command! It's right there in Genesis, the very beginning of the Bible, that Actions. Have. Consequences.)
But that leaves us with two major sticking points for me. Evolution, the mechanism by which our bodies were created (as theorized by science), left our bodies inefficient and prone to breaking, particularly when inbreeding makes any kind of play, due too the inefficiencies of the process. So improving on what's there (glasses/contacts, cybernetics, cosmetic surgery, tattoos for the the aesthetic, etc) is perfectly acceptable. But on the flip side, we have Gender Reassignment. This is where I upset people.
Gender Reassignment. Trans-masc Pyramidhead is an example of this surgical procedure that I find stupid. 80+% of his body is pure muscled masculinity. Adding surgical scars that imply his hips were actually wider than they are, or that he had significantly more estrogen in his body at one point kinda messes with his presence. And the pro-trans message one might get from viewing that picture, that piece of artwork, in isolation does not mesh at all with the fact that he is a remorseless video game monster! (also, I know nothing about Silent Hill, but his Frankenstein/Weird Concept existence, just, doesn't help in general)
And in a more real-life example?
A biological woman bottle-feeding her daughter for the first time did not have happy tears, because she physically could not breast-feed her child. Gender reassignment cut off her mammary glands when she was younger. And while voluntary, it still left her with bleeding emotional wounds when she had her child.
An old woman with Alzheimers contemplated her partner. He'd gone through reassignment while younger, and sometimes forgot significant amounts of (now) her life, such as the reassignment. On one notable example (s)he'd woken up, looked down upon the aging body, and freaked out: "What have you done to my body?!"
When I encountered that article, I had basically clicked away fast and tried to distract myself from the emotional discomfort that I was empathizing with. But now I bring it up to underscore the point.
One of the big things that came up in a recent talk with my dad (which was months ago and sounded like a bunch of conspiracy theories, included what sounded like a bunch of government/military shit that no one wants to own up to that I can absolutely believe even if I don't remember 80%+ of that), is that a lot of things we believe today was told to us by shills (liars) and hacks that don't deserve their medical degrees or et cetera. And Government/Military propaganda based not in the least in truth is certainly prevalent enough in fiction and history that we can believe they're doing it to our faces today and expecting us to thank them for it.
Humanity has told itself all kinds of lies, deluded itself with all kinds of ideas, and while I'm not trying to put anybody down, I feel that the popularization of Gender and Gender Reassignment, and the ways those things were treated by the media, is one of those. The way it got turned from a personal thing into a political thing. How some people, including and especially the creeps and politicians, tried to cash in on it while those with morals and integrity tried to keep it contained - and eventually just took a step back because of how out of control it was, those against seeing it as a degradation of their country and those for seeing themselves lumped in with terrible people and the movement itself turned into an excuse for the morally unhinged to take advantage of.
There's a reason I try to stay out of politics. Why I try to follow Caboose's example in Flamethrower's Other than the Sum of its Parts. And that reason is that anything Political is A) complicated and B) lied about. 98% of Gender Politics is completely unknown to me, as a result of those two reasons. And the other 2% I might just spew out randomly because someone I considered more knowledgeable than myself said it first.
----
Now that that's out of the way, we can get to the interesting bit.
I didn't like the first option for Deuteronomy (New International Reader's Version), so I kept looking a little further and found that. Remember how I mentioned earlier that when you're unsure of something, go to the source material?
We have the Bible in English, because it was first translated to Latin, but it started in the Hebrew.
The NIRV, when translated to plain language, says "Cross-dressing is a Sin!", but the original Hebrew is basically saying "Don't push somebody into a role they're not fit for!"
This is not confined to the LGBT community. It touches on the community, yes, but some people are made for that community, Christian and otherwise, but this verse also touches on gaslight/grooming, Toxic Masculinity/Feminity, attempts to control the universe and make it conform to your expectations, dozens of things that create trauma...
Well, at this point A) I've run out of ideas, and B) I really don't wanna look at all the shitty things this one verse covers. If you think I've listed all of them?
Oh, you sweet summer child.
Now, at this point, I think God wants to say something through me: Very Few People will benefit from Gender Reassignment.
Please Note that this is not None. And it is not limited to Physical Health Issues. But less than 1% of this world's population require it.
...and He's handing me back the mic.
So, let's look at that.
First is Reader Reaction: No. I am not doing this for attention. I've asked him to hold my hand through this, make sure my thoughts, and His Intent, comes through. This is not about me. This is about exploring His Message.
Second is population. <1% is a very small number... in statistics. In Global Population? Considering we have upwards of five Billion, just in India, then that leaves around fifty million people who can benefit from the surgery.
Third is the fact that I correct myself. It's not fifty million that can benefit, it's somewhere around that number that require it. More can benefit from it, but somewhere around... let's say twenty five million, actively need it. Who are they? God knows, I don't, nothing more needs to be said about this.
Fourth is that, while a statistically tiny number require it, more can benefit, yet Gender Reassignment isn't the only method of handling things. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph got Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh from the three wise men when Jesus was born. (which, didn't exactly last them long, because King Herod sent the Wise Men as part of a method to track down Jesus, due to fearing Jesus deposing him, and they needed to get out of the country! And they were expensive gifts, so they pawned them off and used the money to get out of there). I bring this up because, while the money was useful, it wasn't the only way they had to get out of the country. It was convenient to get outta there fast, and the Wise Men gave them the warning, but they coulda gotten outta there the slow way on foot and partially starved themselves for Jesus' sake, or hitched a ride in some caravan or with some smugglers or something. All of those were valid options - even if some of them were more attractive than others. Money and legal was still the best option of them all.
This is relevant, because while useful, gender reassignment isn't the only method of healing available. For some, Reassignment is a net neutral. For some, like the Alzheimer's patient I mentioned earlier, it can be a net negative - some good, lotta bad. And I don't know if you've noticed, but it's kinda permanent. That it's an option is, I feel, a good thing. But it's a lot easier to reprogram your mind than to surgically alter your body. Cheaper too. My suggestion? Try therapy first. You might accidentally-on-purpose dig up all sorts of things that are bothering you, and even find out that the body disphoria? It might not come from your body/self-perception/gender issues at all! (It still could, yes, but why fix the symptoms if it doesn't solve the problem? Pin down the problem first, then fix.)
Can a Christian... love and support unconditionally?
Love without conditions means acceptance without conditions, not approval without conditions.
This one is Big. No question. It means "I'm telling you not to hate the Gays. Just like you'd not hate a smoker specifically because they smoke, or an alcoholic specifically because they drink alcoholic drinks. Hate the tabacco, hate the alcohol, but don't hate the one addicted to them. Same thing is supposed to apply to The Gays."
Are you going to suddenly hate your child because they drive a Tacoma? Do you hate them because they decided they wanted nothing to do with the world's idea of gender roles, or gender at all, and decided to go completely 'genderless' and nonbinary? Are you going to hate them because they're suddenly going by neopronouns?
No?
Then why would you hate them, just because she likes girls, or he wants to marry a guy, or your nonbinary third likes them all (or no one in a romantic capacity)?
Or are you actually just that shallow?
God commanded us Christians to Love Deeply and Unconditionally. Friend, Enemy, lover, neighbor, child. To care about them all. Not to spread and perpetuate the cycle of hatred, fear, and violence.
There's a guy I knew, who turned out to be gay. I'm gay-adjacent (as in, not gay, but like it's all that hard for someone to make the mistake?), and while I know (now) that I probably handled the reveal badly enough to hurt his feelings, I didn't love/like him any less when I found out. I just tried to add a little physical distance - an unexplained act of "I respect that you are into guys, and I like you, but you're not my type". Matter of fact, I'm currently praying that he gets a partner, one who is basically a better version of me who's actually into him. (so, huggy-er than average, and willing to shower him with affection)
And this kind of command is kinda pointed at you non-Christians too. To be better than that. To be better than those who lie and deceive you for their own profit and amusement. To rise above the racism, no matter what form it takes.
To give one example of the challenge I'm handing out, I'll point you at a Tumblr story from a self-admitted tomboy I read once. (I forget the account name). She's a girl, she does guy things, and when someone from the LGBT community approached her, she told them straight out, "I'm a tomboy", and then they refused to accept that. Instead of accepting her words as shorthand for "I go by She/Her, and I do things society thinks only guys do", the other guy referred to her as a "They/Them", which really annoyed her. (also, don't @ her if you come up with her blog name, just show the post to your friends in the LGBT community as an example of "don't be like the jerks who hurt you. Instead, respect others and throw out Society's ideas of Gender Roles entirely")
-
Overall: One of the big things that stands out to me, is that it doesn't bring up Leviticus.
Leviticus 20 is, of course, the big chapter/verse people bring up when it comes to Anti LGBT speech/hatred. "An abomination to lie with another male as with a female", or whatever translation you prefer.
Doesn't really help that it's not really in-theme for that chapter to be translated as "Hate the Gays", when older translations of that passage mark it as "Don't have sex with children, and also leave animals alone when it comes to sex".
But all this also reminds us to respect each other. Our choices are our own. Us christians? We're not supposed to be here to judge you. We're supposed to be here to help guide you, show you the right way, help you up when you choose badly and fall, and help you heal. Remember the line, "You are the Salt of the Earth"? That's what it's supposed to mean.
And, yeah, we're kinda doing a bad job of it. But we're only human. Just like you.
Be safe, and love each other. With all the Evil in the world today, we're all going through our own shit. Let's not make it worse.
And, sorry for not posting for a long time? Just, haven't had anything worth posting.

rabbit, minion&&hello kitty
summary. you and your boyfriend have a small spa moment when an unexpected guest pops in
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
lee know opened the door and was greeted by the sound of tv coming from living room along with soft sound of your talking in the background.
"minho! you're home?" your voice made him snort as he took off his shoes
"no, that's not me" lee know teased and came up to you with intention of kissing you but he froze, noticing the chaos you were in.
"very funny. i need to hang up... yeah, sure! see you later then!" you hummed to the phone that was trapped between your cheek and arm. as you tried to grab it, it fell down on the floor "whoops..."
"what is it...?" your boyfriend frowned, crossing his arms
"my spa" you showed him your teeth in a winsome smile.
"i can see that" he mumbled looking at the nails polish bottles, face masks and many other beauty items scattered around. you had your hair tied up, headband on top of your head and a k-drama playing in the tv. "and...?"
"and? what do you mean "and"? i was bored and decided i need a spa day. oh gosh-- you wanna join me?!" you asked, eyes sparkling with excitement.
"and? what do you mean "and"? i was bored and decided i need a spa day. oh gosh-- you wanna join me?!" you asked, eyes sparkling with excitement.
he shook his head no, heading to the kitchen.
"oh come on-! i made you some soup by the way... but please, baby?" you asked and saw him preparing two bowls. "i already ate!"
"sure, probably hours ago" he scoffed, knowing you. and he was right.
"please, just the face mask!" you whined, stopping the tv show while being careful not to scratch your freshly painted nails. "please, please, pleaseeee-!"
minho chuckled at your excitement.
"ugh, fine, whatever. but first you are going to eat something" lee know turned around and threatened you with the spoon. you were about to roll your eyes when he added "don't roll your eyes at me, ma'am!"
"mhm" you hummed and watched him pour the soup to two bowls.
in a matter of second he came up to you and placed it in front of you.
"okay but now tell me which face mask do you want... i've got this hello kitty one, minion and this rabbit one! i think you should go with-- hmpfh??!" your talking was muffled by minho showing a spoon of soup into your mouth.
"eat first" he giggled as you swallowed.
"you need to feed me though, my nails are..." you started and saw another spoon coming up your way.
"i was going to feed you anyway, dumbass" minho grinned and reasumed his actions.
you finished your meal while watching the drama.by that time your nails were dry so you didn't have to be careful about your moves anymore.
"now that we ate... which one?" a smile appeared on your lips.
minho took a moment to adore you. you looked so adorable like this. eagerness sparkling in your beautiful eyes, childish grin forming on your lips and this messy hairstyle. gosh, he loves you so much.
"m'kay, so rabbit" you chuckled and opened the box "lean against the couch... and here, put this on"
he did as you asked and put on the pink hairband to prevent his hair from sticking to the face mask. you sat on his lap, tongue sticking out from your mouth as you focused to put the mask perfectly on his face. he couldn't help to grin.
"don't laugh at me! i'm doing my best" you laughed and punched his arm after the mask was applied.
"i wasn't laughing at you..." he rolled his eyes and grabbed the box you gave him.
"sure. now put on mine" you nodded, shuffling closer to him.
before putting the minion face mask on you, he placed a kiss on your nose.
after you two were done, a doorbell rung. his brows knotted and then he heard the sound of door opening.
"yo! i was thinking i'm gonna go see you guys earlier because i was bored and-- OH SWEET MOTHER OF BABY-! LEE KNOW?!" han (since when he has keys to your apartment..?) screamed at the sight of his older friend.
"oh yeah, by the way han was supposed to pop in" you nodded, placing your hand on lee know's knee.
"you scared me to death" han dramatically grabbed his heart and then plopped down next to you "now now, i want a face mask too!"
lee know scoffed at his sudden change of mood. moments later he watched you apply the hello kitty face mask on his friend's face and somehow, he couldn't be more happier.

Little Secret
Tumblr media
Request: Wonderful! Could please write an escenario in which y/n (half elf and half human) was part of the company cause Gandalf hired her. She and Kili fell for each other and secretly started courting. Once Erebor was reclaimed everything was going back to normal. Thorin asked her to stay for as long as she liked. When Fili & Kili's mom got there, she had lots of meetings with Thorin so y/n was not able to properly meet her. The day that they are actually introduced, Thorin announces Kili's and Fili's arranged marriages which took everyone by surprise. Y/n and Kili try to figure and fix things out in order to convince Thorin to put off the arrange marriage but it does not work. Therefore, y/n decides to leave Erebor and ends up leaving to Dale; befriending/ helping Bard and his kids.  During her time there she finds out that she was pregnant with Kili's child. However, she never notifies Kili nor goes to Erebor to announce it thinking that he had his duty as a prince and it would be harmful for him/ his arranged marriage. So, she makes the decision to raise the baby on her own. Time goes by and on a normal day (when she was 9 months pregnant) that she's walking around Dale  while feeling contractions she bumps into Kili. Thank you so much!❤️ Sorry for the long message 😅 - @just-a-dreamer23
A/N: I know, I know, this is soo long. But, I enjoyed writing this story!! I've been trying to overcome my lack of motivation to write, so maybe it isn't as good in some parts, as my other stories, but I wanted to keep it that way, so I hope you enjoy anyways.

The afternoon was hot. The best thing to do, was to take a nap. At least, in your opinion.
Nothing would attack in this heat, you thought, as you rested under a tree. A while after, you noticed pointy hat and grey cloak of the same colour. You lazily waved.
"Gandalf, long time no see!" Gandalf smiled at you.
"Good afternoon, Y/N." You stood up and looked at him, waiting. Gandalf never came just...for no reason.
"How are you doing?" Gandalf asked, and you shrugged.
"I'm just wandering around, as usual. You know me. I never stay in one place for too long." You said. Gandalf knew that, obviously. Being a child of an elf and a human, you felt like you never belong anywhere.
Elves felt really tense and quiet, and humans were quite loud for you, because of your hearing. And you aged lot slower than them, so making friends was also quite...not it.
"I've been looking for you, to join an adventure," You curiously gave him a look.
"An adventure? What kind of adventure?"
"Well," he looked at you.
"You know about Erebor and the line of Durin, right?" You frowned at him, and quickly shook your head.
"Gandalf, I can't-I can't join the dwarves! They will hate me! Everyone knows they hate the elves, and I'm half elf!" You said.
"Well, who said they will know? You owe me help," he reminded you. You thought back to when he healed you after orcs attacked you, and you sighed. He was right. This was the least you could do.
"And, who knows. Maybe they will like you," he gave you a look, and you folded your hands on your chest, and let out a sigh.
"Alright then. Where and when am I supposed to be?" He gave you all the information you needed. And you started your way to the Shire, looking at the first evening stars, as the starlight is what the Elves of Mirkwood love so much.
You got to the Shire around late afternoon after three days of traveling, and smiled. The hobbits and their houses were tiny, so you couldn't help, but smile. Maybe it won't be that bad, having perhaps a hobbit friend, after all...
-
You remembered the moment when you first met Kili. You thought Gandalf was there at Bilbo's house, but when you opened the door...
"Are you Master Boggins?" You frowned at the brunette dwarf.
"Do I look like a hobbit to you?" He looked at the other dwarf, then back at you, but there was Bilbo already.
Later on the journey, he found you without your cape on. It was your turn for bathing, but him and Fili forgot some their things at the river.
You just put off your cloak, and put your hair down from your headband. You heard steps, so you quickly turned around.
"You are..." Fili started.
"...an elf?" Kili finished. You huffed.
"Half elf. My mother was...human." you whispered. Painful memories of your early life came up, and you blinked to stop the tears.
"Don't tell anyone, please..." you looked at them. Both Fili and Kili must've seen something in your expression, that made them realize the importance. They nodded. Kili was, however, curious. Lot more than before, and asking you about elves. You talked about it when Thorin was far enought to not hear what was your conversations about, but it wouldn't matter much. Gandalf told them you spent part of your life living with the elves, which was true.
In fact, Kili became fascinated by you. He liked you before, and had a feeling, which he wasn't sure about. Interest, curiousity, the need to protect you, adoration...
In the moment he saw you, he realized you were his One, his love for life. And when you got closer, he asked you to court him. You said yes. From then on, you shared many quiet and stolen kisses and moments together, in the shadows of forests or your bedrooms in pubs.
The moment everyone else (except for Bilbo and the Durin brothers) found out, was when you came into Mirkwood. Thranduil ordered his guards to take your cloak and headband off, and now, everyone could see your pointy ears.
There was a moment of silence.
"What made an elf, to travel with group of dwarves?" You gulped and looked down.
"I'm a-a half elf," you whispered.
"My father was from here." You explained, and the king shot you a glare. He was not stupid. He knew you tried to pull his attention away.
"Take them to the dungeons, except for Oakenshield," he said.
When you made yourself as comfortable as you could on the cold floor, you overheard the dwarves trying to find out who you actually were and what you wanted.
To your surprise, they didn't talk about you in a bad way. Just curiousity. Thankfully.
-
"Do you think she will like me?" You said to Kili. He was writing a letter to his and Fili's mother, Dis, the happy news - Erebor was reclaimed, and they all survived. It's been a week since, and Thorin decided it was the right thing to let his sister know as soon as possible. She was surely worried.
Kili turned to you.
"Like you? Like you? She is going to love you," Kili grinned at you, and you had to smile a little too.
"Yeah, but...you know, I'm not a dwarf," you said your worry aloud. It was true. Being a half-elf, you and Kili started courting in secret. Thorin was not really kind to you, at least the first half of the journey. However, the rest of the Company liked you lot more. Especially Kili. After a while of knowing of what did you feel, you decided to tell him. To your surprise, but happiness, Kili shared those feelings. And since then, you had a tiny braid, hidden in your hair, and Kili as well.
And stole many, many secret kisses.
"I don't think mum is going to have issue with this," Kili stood up, and gently placed your hair behind your ear.
"You're my One, and you make me incredibly happy. I'm sure she won't have problem with you being half elf," You cupped his cheek, and softly smiled, as you looked deep in his kind brown eyes.
"I love you too, my short Prince," He stood on his toes and kissed you, getting a giggle from you. He pouted, when he heard you called him short, but you knew he didn't mind it.
You kissed him, and felt his smile on your lips. You were leaning down, when suddenly you lost balance, and both you and Kili ended up lying on the floor. Kili and you let out a yelp, but then broke into giggles.
"I love you," Kili said, when you finally stopped laughing. You cuddled into his chest and breathed in his scent. Kili smelled like smoke, food and fresh air.
"I love you too," Kili gently stroke your hair, and you got up.
"Where are you going?"
"You have to finish the letter, and I promised Tilda I will take a walk with her before the dinner." You helped Kili to get up.
"Alright my beloved, have a good time," he gently kissed you, and sat back to his desk. You smiled, and ruffled his hair.
"You too, my dearest." You smiled, and left the room.
-
It's been a few months, and you were finally, finally going to meet Kili and Fili's mother, Dis. She has been there for around two weeks by now, but, you haven't got the chance to meet her and be introduced to her yet.
You were officially going to meet her during upcoming celebration. Needless to say, you were freaking out.
Your stomach was tight from anxiety for a few days already, and that afternoon, it felt absolutely horrible. You haven't eaten whole day, just because all you thought about was the evening.
You spent around an hour of putting on and off different dresses from your wardrobe, trying to figure out which one to wear.
"Y/N?" Kili knocked on the door of your chambers.
"C'me in," you said. He came in, and his eyes widened, when he seen you sitting in front of the mirror, your eyes red and the mess everywhere.
"What am I supposed to wear? I have nothing to wear!" You started crying. All the stress and anxiety in past three months got the best of you. Random moments of crying, because of tiny things, were happening on daily basis.
"Dear, what is happening?" He pulled your hair back behind your ears.
"I-I just want-want your mum to like me," you muttered.
"And...it stresses me out." Kili nodded, and shortly hugged you.
"She is going to love you no matter which dress you wear, I promise." He whispered to your ear.
"Now, I think..." Kili looked around.
"I think the...the dark green dress will be perfect."
When you changed into the dress Kili picked you, Kili brushed and styled your hair. He pulled the top section into a clip, and you pulled a few strands, to frame your face. You smiled at yourself in the mirror.
"You ready?" Kili asked. You just silently nodded.
As you walked down the hall, Kili was trying to figure out where his uncle, brother and mother went to. He couldn't see them anywhere, and he was sure he was once in a while not late.
When you entered the huge throne room, you could see Fili, and let out a breath of relief.
"Fili, have you seen-"
"Kili, there you are," A woman came from behind Fili, and looked over her younger son.
"Have you brushed your hair?" Kili huffed.
"Of course I did." He said quietly, so nobody could hear him. He was visibly embarrassed, and you let out laugh. She suddenly turned to you. Her deep blue eyes reminded you Thorin, but they had the same twinkle as Kili and, occasionally, Fili.
"I don't remember I seen you here before," she said.
"Well, I usually spend my time outside of Erebor, so I think that might be it," You nervously smiled. She hummed.
"I-I'm not a part of the royal family," you said, and almost groaned. Now that was embarrassing for sure.
"Y/N, this is my and Kili's mum, Dis. Mum, this is Y/N," Fili said, and you felt your cheeks heat up.
"I-um-" You tried to say something, but she pulled you in short hug.
"Nice to meet you, Y/N," she gave you a smile, and then went back between the guests with Fili.
You let out a breath.
"That was embarrassing," you groaned. Kili chuckled.
"No, not at all. She likes you." It suddenly felt like it was much easier to breathe.
"She-she does?" Your eyes widened, and Kili nodded.
"Of course! And you can bet she will steal you to me during the evening,"
"How do you know that?" You turned to him with surprise written all over your face.
"She is my mother. I know her for a long time." He just said.
"She seems to be...different from Thorin," you said, hoping it wouldn't come out as offensive. Kili chuckled.
"Mum and Uncle really aren't that different. Uncle just focuses more on the kingdom and mum, on family," Kili said in low voice, so that only you could hear it.
When you sat down to the table, where the royal family and the Company was, you looked around. You and Kili did secretly hold hands under the table, and you talked to Dis, who was sitting across the table.
"Good evening, everyone," Thorin said, and the people got more quiet.
"It's my pleasure to meet all of you here today. I have some things to say, before the celebration starts." Thorin paused, and Kili leaned near you with a grin.
"It's just a few formalities, don't worry, love." You smiled at him back with tight smile. You felt something was not right. Thorin talked about the kingdom a little at first. The next news was, however, what you were afraid of.
"I'm very happy to say, my nephew Fili is going to marry-" you let out a breath. Kili turned to you with worry.
"Do you feel okay?" He asked, when suddenly...
"And my nephew Kili, who also has already arranged marriage, with-"
Kili stared at Thorin, and you as well.
"Kili-Kili, please-" you tried to stop Kili from going to Thorin. Kili was visibly angry, his jaw was tight, and body tense.
"Kili? What is happening?" Thorin came and let through his teeth. You suddenly felt everyone's eyes on you.
"I need some fresh air," you whispered and walked away, as quickly as you could. When you left, you came in your chambers, kneeled to your bed, and started crying.
You knew it. You should've known before.
Thorin would do this. Even when Fili and Kili were children, he would make sure they had wives already. They were princes. They needed to have a wife.
And Thorin...Thorin would never allow Kili to court you or marry you.
The next day, Kili came into your room. He had dark circles under his eyes, and gave you weak smile.
"I promise we will work this out," he muttered, and pulled you close to his chest.
Kili was asleep - and you let him - but, you thought about your situation, and tried to come up with possible solutions.
However, it was as if there weren't any.
It's been a few days, and you cuddled into your blanket. You fell asleep, and when you woke up, you looked around the room.
This place isn't for me anymore, you thought, and started packing your clothes into your bag. You changed into tunic and trousers, and wrote a letter to Kili, that you were sorry, but it was probably better to have a wife his Uncle would like, that you were leaving and never coming back, so he shouldn't be looking for you.
You quietly left the palace, and walked out in the morning. The air was fresh and nice, and for a moment, you forgot your sadness.
You walked to Dale, and decided to meet Bard. You had nowhere to go, and maybe staying there would be good, before you'd go...somewhere else.
The guards let you in, and as you thought of going to Rivendell, you noticed Bard.
"Bard?" He turned to you, and nodded at you.
"Hi Y/N. What brings you here?" You sighed.
"I'm leaving Erebor, Bard...but the problem is, I need to think about of where-" you suddenly felt dizzy, and Bard catched you. He called for a healer, that's what your hazy mind could catch.
You basically woke up, in a room. On a bed. Comfortable bed.
"Lie still, lady Y/N," the healer said. You frowned a little, when she placed her ear to your stomach.
"I can hear the heartbeat clearly. The baby is most likely around three months old," she said.
"What baby?" You asked, confused. You looked from the healer to Bard and Bard to healer. She took your hands in hers.
"You don't know, my lady? You are pregnant. I can clearly hear the heartbeat of your child," she softly smiled at you. You shook your head, and felt a few tears escaping your eyes.
"I'm...I'm with child," you whispered. You could not believe it. So perhaps, it wasn't just stress...
"Who is the father?" The healer asked, when she helped you to sit up. You nervously looked in your lap.
"Kili. Prince...Kili. Kili Durin." You said, and Bard and the healer shared a look.
"He...he doesn't know. Can we keep it a secret? Please?" You looked at them.
They said yes. Bard was like a father to you, and let you stay. He showed you chambers, that would be your home for next few months at least.
You never went back to Erebor. You thought Kili had to marry the princess, so you just tried to think of the baby you were carrying.
It wasn't that hard, honestly. The baby was often restless, though.
As if it missed Kili as much as you did...
Even if the baby would have to grow up without it's biological dad, you were sure you'd be able to take care of them well.
Some days, you were happy, and didn't think of Kili too much. It pained you, yes, and you knew you had to be strong for the baby, so you often asked someone to teach you something, such as how to prepare different meals, how to knit or how to play piano, to name a few.
Other days, you felt sad. It could be because of the weather, or hormones, some days you just woke up sad, and sometimes it was when something reminded you of Kili. Those days, the baby was the most restless, and the maids told you it was because the baby missed it's father.
You sat down to the armchair next to the window in your bedroom, and looked out on the street. Nobody could see you from here, so it made you feel safe. You looked up and seen Erebor.
"There's your daddy, over there," you whispered to the baby.
The answer you got, was soft kick.
-
"Does it hurt?" Sigrid asked you, looking at your belly. You smiled at her.
"No, it doesn't." You stroke your stomach. You've been pregnant for past almost nine months. Bard was so kind and let you stay, and even offered you bigger chambers, which you gladly agreeded to. The chambers were perfect size, and the baby could have their own small room, overtime.
You let out shaky breath. You wanted Kili to know about all of this. To be there with you, talk to you and to the baby.
But, it was not possible. It would hurt his reputation, and perhaps even his marriage.
You dried your tears, and carefully stood up. Even as pregnant, you were able to stand up yourself, luckily quite easily. You felt very thankful for some of your genes being from the elves, because, as Bard explained to you, humans had it harder.
When you slowly got yourself out of the castle, you breathed in. The air smelled nicely - you smelled fresh bread, old leaves, fresh air from the lake. Mix of summer and autumn. You felt it was one of the last few warm days, before the typical autumn comes.
You looked around, and your cravings were begging you for some freshly baked, soft warm bread with fresh butter, melting on top of it. You thought of the crispiness of the bread's crust, and your mouth started watering. You groaned, when you felt how your stomach let you know some snack would come handy.
You slid your hand to your pocket, and made sure you have enough money.
You started walking, to find some bakery, and as you looked around, you noticed one on the other end of the street.
You let out a breath, and started walking towards the small store.
You were almost there, when you overheard a gasps, escaping a few young girls. You slowed down and listened to their conversation.
"Did you see him?"
"Yes, I did. Do you think it really is the Prince?"
"Of course he is! I mean, look at him. I'd recognize the hair clip everywhere." You frowned a little, when you suddenly realized it. You stopped walking, and felt hot wave running down your back, and liquid running down your leg.
You carefully looked down. It was clear.
You turned around, and - damn it! - your eyes locked with Kili's in the exact moment.
He started walking towards you. You clearly recognized happiness in his eyes, and relief.
"Y/N, where have you been those past months? I was worried about you," He said, and when he was near you, you recognized even the wet shine in his chocolate eyes. You felt sudden rush of guilt.
He must have notice the guilt on your face. Kili frowned a little, when he took a notice of your belly, under the dress.
"I-you..." You noticed it. He was holding back tears. You shook your head, as you tried to hold your own.
"Kili, it isn't like this...please trust me!" You felt another wave of heat running down your back, and stepped forward, but sudden dizzines made you take wrong step. Kili quickly catched you.
"Kili, I-this is, uh..."
"You moved on," he said. You shook your head.
"No, it's...you are the father," you said, but didn't notice what was his reaction, because suddenly, you realized what was going on, as you were holding your belly.
"I need to get back, and find a healer and midwife," you let out through your gritted teeth.
"We will get there quickly," Kili let out, and you had a feeling.
"Don't you dare to faint!" You let out.
Kili helped you to get back. You noticed Sigrid, and told her to quickly find healer. She didn't ask anything, and quickly runned away. You let out a groan and gripped Kili's arm.
"Lady Y/N, we need to get you to the room prepared for labour," the healer said, and checked on your belly.
When you got there, and changed into simple gown, you laid down as the healer told you.
Kili stayed there, and you were gripping his arm and hand.
"I'm not fucking letting you to sleep with me ever again," you said through gritted teeth. Kili took a shaky breath, and you shot him a glare.
"Don't you dare to faint, Kili Durin! You did put this baby inside me nine months ago, so now-"
"This is just the pain speaking from Lady Y/N, Prince Kili. Don't take it personally," Kili gulped and nodded.
"You're doing great, love," he said carefully. You let out a huff.
"I didn't finish! Now you will deal with me breaking your arm, because it hurts!" You almost yelled at him.
"I can see the head, my Lady!" The healer smiled.
"With this next contraction, you will push as much as you can!" The healer said.
"Okay, one, two, three-push!"
"You're doing great, dear. The baby is almost there," Kili tried to cheer you up.
"You have no idea how painful it is!" You screamed.
"My lady, this is going to be your last push, are you ready?" The healer looked up at you, and you nodded.
"One, two, three, push!" The healer let out. You gripped Kili's hand, and suddenly...
You heard a baby scream.
"It's a girl!" The healer said happily. You smiled, and let out some happy tears.
"You-you did it!" Kili said, and you wiped off your eyes.
"No, we did it," you muttered, and he kissed your cheek.
"How do you feel, Y/N?"
"I'm okay," you smiled. The midwife checked on you, and handed you your baby.
"Everything seems to be in order," she said and smiled. You smiled at her back. She was there for you for all those months, and you got close.
"Thank you so much," She nodded.
"I'll leave you alone," she said, and left.
You stroke the baby's cheek.
"How are we going to name her?" Kili whispered, and stroke the baby's chubby cheek. You shrugged.
"Well...I'm not sure. I was thinking of Arina," you said.
"It's...it's beautiful name," Kili said, and you realized he was crying.
"Kili...I'm so sorry for...for hiding it from you," you whispered. Kili shook his head.
"Love...it isn't your fault. Can I...can I hug you?" You nodded, and he slid his arm around your shoulders.
"If anything, it's my fault." He muttered.
"I should've known where did you go, and-"
"Shh," you said.
"We can talk about that later. Arina's asleep now."
You were quietly watching the baby. The midwife came back soon, to check on you and the baby, and when she left, Kili spoken up.
"We talked Uncle the marriges out." You nodded.
"You left Erebor by then already. I was looking everywhere for you, only if I knew-" you subtly interrupted him.
"I didn't know either. I wanted to go to Rivendell, but...then, I found out. It would be risky, so Bard let me stay here," You shrugged.
"Do you still want to leave, though?" Kili looked at you with sad eyes, when he looked away from your daughter. You shook your head.
"No." Kili grinned, and gently brushed his hand over your cheek.
"Just for your information...mum was going nuts when she found out about the arranged marriges. She likes you a lot." You smiled, and took Kili's hand in yours.
"Well...let's hope she likes her too," You looked at Arina's sleeping face.
You came back the next day. Kili had to go to Erebor that evening, but in the morning, he came back.
When you entered, you overheard a strong female voice. You quickly realized who was the woman.
"I don't care my brother has a meeting. Go tell him he has to come here. It's a family emergency," she said, and turned to you and Kili.
"Y/N, where have you-oh, who is this?" Dis turned to you, and noticed the baby. You shared a look with Kili.
"This is your granddaughter," You said carefully. Dis looked between you and Kili, and it seemed like most things clicked to her. She smiled.
"Well..."
"Dis, what does that means?" Thorin's voice came from different hall, and you noticed Fili giving you a knowing smile.
"Thorin..." you said, and he turned to you. He seemed to be confused, but then he looked at Arina.
"What does this-"
"Uncle, let's get some privacy first," Fili said.
When you came to library, Thorin turned to you. Dis stood up, as if she would want to protect you.
"Uncle...Y/N and I started courting on the quest in secret. We planned to get married, but when you announced the arranged marriges for me and Fili, we-"
"I left Erebor, because I thought you would never accept me as partner for your nephew, Thorin. I found out I was pregnant, however, I didn't want to hurt Kili's reputation or his marrige, so I never came back to announce it. He met me in Dale yesterday, and I, um...I went to labour." Thorin has been looking at you and Kili. Your body was tense, and Fili, Kili and Dis were ready to protect you any moment.
Thorin slowly closed this eyes, and placed his face into his palms. When he looked up again, he let out a sigh.
"Fili, Kili, sister, leave us alone."
"But Uncle-" Fili said, but Thorin shook his head.
"I said, leave us alone. It won't be long." They three left, and you were a bit afraid.
"Kili is a prince, yes. But, he is also a dwarf, who needs to have someone who he is happy with." Thorin said, looking away from you.
"I noticed, of course. You make him happy, Y/N. I thought it was just childish love, that you would leave, and it would break Kili's heart. I owe you honest apology, Y/N. For thinking you wouldn't take his love seriously." He looked at you, and you let out a small smile. You nodded.
"Apology accepted, Thorin. Courting Kili makes me incredibly happy, and I am honored to say he is my lover," you said, and Thorin looked at you.
"Well, and when it comes to, um...you staying, you can stay here. If you would like to."
"I'd be very thankful."
A few years later
"Fi, look!" Kili said, as Arina walked towards Kili, again. She was giggling, as her father was dancing with her. You laughed.
"Kili, be careful!"
"Daddy, look!" The little girl pointed to a butterfly, who sat on her dress.
"Yeah, it's beautiful," Kili said, and she pouted.
"Don't move, or it will fly away!" Arina let out, and let the butterfly gently walk on her palm.
"Uncle, look, I got a butterfly!" Arina showed it to Fili, who nodded with nervous face.
"Oh, it's beautiful, Ari. Would you put it, um, a bit away from me, please?" She put the butterfly on a flower, and Fili let out a breath.
"I'm sleepy, mommy." She came to you, and lean her head on your shoulder.
"Ari?" A little boy came, and the girl jumped up with grin.
"Vili!" She squealed, and started tickling her cousin.
"Granny!" Arina gasped, when she noticed Dis.
"You are growing up so fast, Ari!" She said proudly, and you two shared a look.
"Aye, that's what she does," Kili let out a chuckle, and gently kissed your cheek.
