ok i’m convinced (late ep 7 evidence)

my last buddy daddies post i talked about how even though kazuki and rei weren’t the most shippable, it seemed like the show might eventually go there. after episode seven, i’m almost certain that it will.

episode seven gives us this scene:

some things really stuck out to me here. many people have noted already that this happens after karin tells kazuki (and kazuki accepts) that he has a right to move on from his wife and be happy in his new life. this sets rei up as a parallel to kazuki’s wife—someone he can be happy with in the present. then, we have the above shots. kazuki is watching rei and miri sleep here. he could just as easily be smiling at miri, not rei. however, the shot very deliberately pans away from miri and focuses on rei before showing us kazuki’s face softening into that smile, making it clear that it’s for rei too. hence. kazurei, maybe.

Greetings, I hope that your adventure has been well as of recent. Inazuma has been receiving more visitors of late due to the summer festival. Preparations and more work have been more demanding as of late. My sister, however, has been trying to schedule a vacation in Mondstadt for the Summer, if only I could take some time to go with her. 

Dango Milk has started to become more popular since Mr. Tomoki’s interaction with her excellency. She often comes down from Tenshukaku to buy some every 2 weeks. Mr. Tomoki always seems to be intimidated by her visits which is rather amusing. Thoma has come up with a new hot pot game for all of us to play when you have time to stop by.

When meeting with my clients this week. one gave me some art materials from one of their sponsors. I was unsure what to do with it until I remembered you so, please accept them.
