CPN : stock photo clues care of xiao laoshi 🔍
all of this is clowning and connecting things that may or may not be related. that’s just how cpns work. if you don’t like it then scroll along. if some things don’t make sense to you then it doesn’t. don’t take this too seriously. i’m trying to add as much clues and cpn as i can but it will be virtually impossible to catch every single thing that will be talked about.
i’ve already talked about the same/similar furniture here cause that was so rude of them. lol. the photo in question for WYB was from his oasis post last 4/16/2019 and was about BAPE’s F1 merch. There are two other photos from that post so you can see more of the sofa in question. GG’s looks like it doesn’t have the backrest, but it seems to be the type that’s removable. I think the term is modular furniture or something like that. the wall behind too ( GG’s ) is similar to WYB’s ( p2 ) 1- I know it’s not the most unique paint shade in the world but you know what i mean. Also GG’s is 2022 so that’s some years apart and the look of it may change. what’s sus about this is it’s not the first time we CPNd them in the same place.

P1: Wonder what this is? It’s called roasted brain flower, apparently. As per baidu search it’s described as : A traditional snack in Sichuan and Chongqing. It is roasted with pig's brain mixed with sea pepper powder, pepper powder and other seasonings. Now where did we see this featured before? In TTXS and WYB samples it. TTXS does a lot of these things, trying everything from different regions so this is not as CPN as we think. Also one popular restaurant that serves this has WYB’s face in their store because of that TTXS episode. Coincidentally, XZ also has a signature memorabilia from the same store.
I won’t talk about the jianguo photo anymore cause it’s the big 🍭 here. and let’s appreciate how cute this princess is! her cheeks!
P2: Of course, he will use this type of effect so we don’t know exactly what it is. Good thing turtles are detectives lol. The first guess is that it’s the titanic lego set because there was a LRLG fake rumor before that seemed to talk about it. it was about purchasing something that is expensive and the word “ship” was mentioned. At the time, this titanic set was out.
I mean, the lights/shapes and all that seem the same. This would be okay if GG was known to play with lego but he’s not. We all know who is tho. Either this is a photo taken by GG when WYB built it and he decided to share it a stock photo. Or this from WYB and he ( GG ) edited it.
Another more logical guess is it’s a night cruise ship that goes around Chongqing and you can eat there too. It’s one of those things that I can’t tell if GG is doing this because he knows he can get away with it. Any sensible / casual fan would think it’s some cruise ship or whatever. Focus on jianguo and his selfie. It’s only us tbh that would think about the Lego.
P3: The freakin hand held fan of destiny lol. We’ve all seen the tape he had on it during the WDB wrap up. We thought that it was broken or it may be a marker, tho the more popular guess is it was damaged. Now he’s using something that is in good condition. CPN is, he got Yibo’s. because WYB was seen using a really small one lol. Or maybe WYB bought a new one for him. Who knows. This hand held fan truly is one legendary piece of turtle history 😂😂😂
P4: AHHHH THE SELFIE, where he is wearing airpods when he answered he prefers wired headphones. sure. Also yes we can see your apple watch. The watch all turtles are eyeing between the two of them. They are both endorsing watches GG ( zenith ) and WYB ( casio ) so why are you both showing that off? 😂😂😂
The peace sign is also a match to Bobo’s — which was something we CPNd ( sort of ). Yes it’s a common gesture when someone takes a photo but whatever.

they wound up circling him and then lifting him off the ground in a very strange but hilarious sequence of events and jakurai laughingly told them it’d been a very long time since he’d been carried in any sort of fashion and he thanked them for bringing fun into his life EXCEPT!!!!!! ITS AN AD-LIB AND IM CERTAIN THAT WAS AYUKAWA-SAN TOUCHED BY HOW MUCH FUN HE WAS HAVING WITH THEM I HATE IT HERE
i can’t remember which day of bop2023 it was but in that mad scramble of wardrobe changes he accidentally had a button left undone on his tdd jakurai shirt and i know how that sounds that i noticed it but the way he smoothly buttoned it as he descended stairs is even more seared into my brain lmao
ayukawa-san is buff as hell lmao the ease at which he carried ramuda during king of kings was immaculate lmao and i’m not strong enough to pretend like i didn’t imagine a gym bros hitojaku au based on how swole they are lmao
he breached the 190cm mark in height and the way he reacts to others reacting to his height cracks me up lmao throwback to that one time he walked in to record bright and dark i think and one of the staff just blurted out, ‘you’re huge!!!!!’ and ayukawa-san responded, ‘i sure am!!!!! 😃’ LOL
in the interest of talking about the other actors i’m cutting myself off but i’m not joking when i say i hate here pls i always quote this but hayami-san was so right when he said the stage actors can’t just be easily replaced, they are the characters for a lot of people too 😭😭😭😭
hirofumi-san’s hifumi was peak host ngl lol
the bat and mtr actors got along insanely well after their play and the way hirono-san and ide-san bullied hirofumi-san only for it to just like, bounce off the man bc he was that self assured and a diva is so funny lmao but that’s exactly why his host hifumi was flawless lol
not that his hifumin wasn’t fun either!!!!!!! stage hifumin doesn’t get to be as silly as his canon counterpart so i can’t blame hirofumi-san for that lol
but his switch from hifumin to host is so insane like i don’t have words to describe how it rotted my brain tbh lmao
so like, i definitely mourned kodai-san’s doppo when he left the role but ik it was bc i liked how obvious he played doppo’s crush on jakurai LOL
ide takuya had me by the balls the moment i saw him tho but we’ll get back to that in a sec lol i still weep over the puppy dog eyes kodai-san always gave sensei lol

They lie on the bed in the old Orlesian emperor’s quarters — her in a shift, he fully clothed. She was on her stomach, clutching a pillow, sprawled perpendicular. He had propped himself up against the ornate headboard, pulled her leg into his lap, and absently massaging her bare foot.
He seemed to prefer things this way. She learned to let her hair down before he summoned her, to appear comfortable with him and interested in what he had to say. In return, his touches were gentle, and he never attempted a repeat performance of the first night.
Thalia worried he was biding his time, to capture her with her guard down. Then she wondered if he would dare, or whether the humiliation had proved too much. Or maybe, deep down, he was ashamed. It was difficult to tell. Samson carried on as a man in the midst of a delusion — as if she had chosen him from the start. As if the name Cullen did not exist.
“You seem far away.” The words slipped from her mouth without her permission. She could have done with more silence. Sometimes he talked, but was careful to reveal only broad strokes: his men were restless, Empress Calpernia was trying his patience, Corypheus had not done him the courtesy of returning his messages. He did not trust her, nor was she sure he ever would. Thalia knew someone braver would try, would do whatever it took. She did not possess that fortitude.
“Hmm?” Samson roused, blinking at her with languid eyes. How much of the red had he taken today? Enough to keep his hands from shaking. His fingers were warm as they encircled her ankle. The knuckle in her sole felt almost pleasant. “I’m right here. Nothing to worry about.”
Playacting, that’s what this was. She had to feign concern, so he could believe in the version of her that existed in his head. Thalia sat up, frowning. One side of her shift slipped off her shoulder and she didn’t bother to pull it back into place. “Are you sure?”
No, he wasn’t sure. He was too taut, like a bowstring about to snap. “I’ve got to address the troops tomorrow. They’re being sent off to—” Samson caught himself at the last moment, grimacing. “Don’t matter where. They should hear from their general before they go.”
You can tell me. That’s what she should say, drawing closer to him. Maybe if she sat in his lap again, and played with the plum collar of his tunic, she could pry it from him.
No. He would see through that. Maybe he’d get angry and backhand her. The force of the blow from one so fueled by red lyrium could crack bone with little effort.
“A speech,” she said instead, and Samson nodded.
“To boost morale. Morale is so bloody important, when you ask your men to lay everything down for you.”
He ought to know, she supposed. Thalia had seen Sahrnia quarry, had seen Maddox die for him. Cullen had called him a friend, once. Samson inspired something in people, that much was obvious. She drew a little closer, dipping her head demurely. “You could practice, perhaps. On me?”
Samson’s eyebrows shot up into his high forehead, but his eyes betrayed the desire. “You wanna hear it?”
She nodded. “If you wish to share it.”
“It’s not — well. It’s sort of something that mostly exists up here.” He tapped his temple. “Comes out best in the moment, I think.”
Embarrassed? Thalia wondered. He’ll run his mouth to rally the Red Templars to his cause, but he won’t let his guard down in front of a woman? It tracked, but she still found it curious.
She could tell him she did this sort of thing with Cullen frequently. Brainstorming sessions often lasted late into the night. And sometimes, they’d adjourn up the ladder to his quarters, where she sunk into his bed and he showered her with soft kisses—
Best not.
“I’m sure it’s very inspiring,” Thalia said lightly.
Samson smiled. Most of his teeth were quite grey. He reached out a hand. “C’mere.”
Thalia slid closer. He encircled her with his arms and she settled against his chest. He liked this. She suspected she could fake this better part than paid company. The only part.
He wound a finger in her hair. Thalia closed her eyes and pretended it was Cullen. She could endure this, just for a little longer. Dorian was due in Val Royeaux soon with his retinue of Venatori, and then… maybe…
“What are you thinking, little lamb?” Samson put his thumb under her chin and turned her head, gently, to face him.
“Just wondering if you could tell me a story,” Thalia lied.
“What? Like a bedtime story?” He let out a raspy guffaw.
Thalia shrugged. He liked her docile and meek, now that he had her. Should she not play into his perception that she was a child? “I don’t know. You didn’t want to try your speech on me—”
“Oh, she’s very cross about that, is she?”
“—I’m just saying, it might be useful to workshop your ideas.” Maker, what was she on about? She should leave the stupid speech alone.
Now he was practically in hysterics, doubled over and laughing so hard he went into a coughing fit. Thalia slapped him on the back without thinking; then, horrified, withdrew. He recovered a few seconds later, wiping tears of mirth from his eyes.
“You are something else, love.”
“All right, fine. Tell me something true, then. Tell me— why you decided to become a Templar.” She grasped the topic out of the air, though deep down she had always wondered. Cullen had been scant on the details of Samson’s origins; just that they had been friendly before Samson’s expulsion.
He narrowed his eyes at her, as if to gauge whether she was serious. “Why do you wanna know that?”
“Because.” It implies you had a shred of honor once. “I’m curious.”
Samson sighed, scraping his hand down his narrow face. “Fine. It were a long time ago now, twenty years or more. You must have been a babe at the breast at the time.” The thought didn’t seem to trouble him. “I was, shall we say, a man of humble means back then. I had nothing, came from nothing. Classic story of Lowtown through and through, see?”
Thalia nodded. “A beggar?”
He smirked. “Nah, nothing so noble. Young men don’t have the patience, neither. Easier to take the coin than ask.”
“So a thief?”
“Cutpurse, more like. Thieves tend to plan heists, join guilds or the Carta. Kids are less organized; just trying to eat, usually.”
Thalia swallowed hard. She found such an existence difficult to imagine. Samson nodded, as if reading her mind. “Don’t expect you know much about it.”
“I’m sorry, I… that sounds challenging.”
Samson snorted. “Not looking for pity. Just telling you how it was.”
“How did you go from that to a… Templar?” She had always assumed Templars usually came from noble stock, given her own family’s history. Cullen had been a notable exception.
Samson chuckled. “One day, I got too bold. I tried to pickpocket Knight-Commander Guylian himself. Caught me red-handed.”
Thalia’s eyes widened. “And? Did he… let you go?”
“No!” Samson laughed heartily. “Had me arrested on the spot, o’ course. I spent a few days languishing in the city jail, thinking I was gonna lose a hand, or worse.” He paused. “Till Guylian came to see me. He was in good with the city guard. They owed him a few favors. I still don’t know why he bothered. I didn’t give him any reason to see potential in me. But he said a few things. He didn’t sugarcoat it, mind. I never would have gone for a bunch of platitudes. There’s always someone in that city trying to save degenerate souls from themselves. I dunno.” Samson shrugged. “He said, ‘I’m looking for people who understand Kirkwall. There’s too many coddled nobles in my ranks. Come see me if you want to put your skills to better use.’ And then I was released.”
Thalia’s mouth was agape. “Just like that?”
Samson nodded. “Just like that. I thought about it for a bit, nursed my wounded pride, went on a couple benders…. Then a few weeks later there I was, standing in the Gallows courtyard, asking to be let into recruitment training.”
“That is… quite a story.” Thalia sat up, shaken. It felt too easy to root for the young man in the story. She could see him, quite clearly, as a heroic underdog.
“What’s wrong?” He brushed the hair from her shoulder. “You think I made that up?”
“I don’t know.” She wanted to call him a liar. It would be better to believe he had invented the tale, striving to impress her with a cultivated persona.
“Well, I didn’t. For what it’s worth.” Samson sighed. “’S just a shame, you know. Guylian really believed in what he did. Thought he could make a difference. He didn’t realize, and me neither, until it was much too late.”
“Realize what?” Thalia breathed.
Samson let out a weary chuckle. “That ambition will stamp out honor every time, love. Those who want power — they will take it, by any means necessary.”
“I suppose that was a lesson hard learned,” Thalia said softly.
“Indeed. But I’ll never make that mistake again.”
Nor will I, Thalia thought.

I was tagged by @galaxycunt weeks ago, and I finally got around to answering.

1. Are you named after anyone?
My great grandpa Tora. But he went by Tory. He was apparently a grumpy ol sonofabitch according to my dad, but it was also his idea to name me after him so 🤷♀️
2. When was the last time you cried?
Prolly like two days ago but I don’t know for sure for sure. I cry all the time. I think this time I was crying in frustration at packing for my last camping trip lol
3. Do you have kids?
Nope, and I don’t know if I want any tbh. It would really cut into my time of being the Weird/Fun Aunt who lets my nieces and nephews stay up too late and helps them dye their hair
4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?
Not nearly as much as I did when I was younger. We call that Growth 😌 but sometimes I can’t help myself
5. What sports do you play/have you played?
Ha. I am so uncoordinated I don’t play any sports. I played tennis for one year in high school and hated it. I’ve gone rock climbing once and really enjoyed it even though I was scared shitless, so I’d really like to get back into that. I’ve also been kind of wanting to play tennis again just for funsies with my husband and not actually pay attention to any rules or anything and just have fun.
6. What’s the first thing you notice about other people?
I think height? Because I’m pretty tall and if someone is taller than I am I definitely notice
7. Eye color?
Hazel is the least pretentious way to describe it. Or green…ish.
8. Scary movie or happy endings?
Why not both? I will say I like things to end happily, because I need to have some semblance of hope in the world lol, but also bittersweet endings will stick with me for the rest of my life.
9. Any special talents?
I am freaky good with names and faces. I will remember people who I had one college class with but never actually personally interacted with them. I can also like, trifold my tongue so it looks like a clover.
10. Where were you born?
Ha nice try fbi. Just kidding, it’s just a small town (like, less than a thousand people) in southern Utah and I highly doubt anyone would know the name or where it was, but if perchance they do, it probably means I know them in real life and I’d rather not risk it.
11. Free space
Ummmmm I love hiking and camping, and I’d love to get into photography and videography to be like a nature photographer, I think that would be cool. But I’m also Very Bad at taking pictures. I always forget to take them, or I frame it really bad or the lighting is really bad, I’ve got a lot to learn with that hobby lol. Also I wish I could just wear my crunchy/granolaey/outfits all the time business casual my absolute beloathed
12. Do you have any pets?
No 😔 I want one, either a cat or a dog, but honestly I have so much anxiety around it because there’s this CREATURE in my HOUSE and it needs me to live! And what if it eats my plants and what if my plants are toxic and what if it chews a hole in the floor or the door and we get kicked out and and and (you get the idea).
13. How tall are you?
5’10” 😎 my husband insists I’m 5’9” but he’s wrong
14. Favorite subject in school?
I’m still recovering from the god complex that being in English class gave me so, we’ll leave it at that.
15. Dream job?
I do not dream of labor, but I have a few ideas of what would be preferable than being a receptionist for the rest of my life lol. I’d like to open an online sticker/print shop and just draw and design cute silly stationary and stickers. I’ve also always dreamed of being an author, but seeing as how I can’t finish any of my wips that will probably remain a dream lol.

edit jan 2023 (oh god it’s 2023) I’m dropping this small theory now that teaser footage from the second s3 episode is coming out ^^ I was thinking more in like, say, labyrinths from pmmm but tbh I don’t think it’s gonna happen like I imagined. you can still read it below if ur curious tho !
Odalia mainly specialising in Oracle magic is most definitely why she knows about the Draining spell; like, maybe she had a vision one day of all the witches in the Boiling Isles having their magic painfully taken away from them, saw a solar eclipse in the background, then found out that the Day Of Unity also takes place on a solar eclipse and put two-and-two together. but that's not the most interesting part to me. what I’m thinking about the most is how despite (most likely) seeing first hand how Belos lied to everyone, she still supports and works for him.
You could argue that she saw everyone survive the draining spell and decided to not look further, but that doesn’t make sense to me ? I feel like if she saw blatant proof that Belos wanted to kill everyone, she’d either come to the conclusion that he ALSO lied about the paradise free of wild magic and refuse to work for him, OR look further into the future just to double check that he wasn’t lying about rewarding witches with sigils. considering that in canon she’s still a piece of shit and purposefully didn’t tell her family about the draining spell just so they’d remain in Belos’ good graces, she most likely went for the latter option.
Here's the thing: Odalia, despite having proof that Belos lied, still believes in his promise about the post-unity Utopia. she taunts Amity after she’s been exposed for hiding the truth that she’ll “thank her when she’s an actual princess” and I don’t see her lying about that at that point ? Maybe she thought that if she sucked up to Belos she and her family would survive the Day of Unity—but then again, she has Oracle magic. she could just look into the future to make sure he fulfilled his end of the deal.
This is more than just Odalia: there's an entire coven of Oracle witches; possibly hundreds have come to the same conclusion. why hasn’t the Coven-head lost all trust in Belos ? why isn't an Oracle witch part of the the C.A.Ts ? why are there even Oracle witches who want to be on Belos' side at all ?
Here's my theory: they did see a form of paradise. They saw an after to the Day of Unity: possibly a utopia where they could thrive.
They just deeply, deeply misunderstood how it came to be, and why it is that way.
At the end of season 2, the Collector remade the Boiling Isles: the last thing we see before the portal closes is of the terrain being torn apart to create the setting for the "Owl House" game. In order to play "The Owl House", one of the rules may be that the "House" needs to be an idyllic place to live in. Maybe this is the Collector's interpretation of the game, or they're just building what King has described to be the setting of "The Owl House".
I think we have a pretty good idea on the world Luz and co are gonna see in episode 2.

I only know people are upset that Melissa won't be in Daryl's show and they blame him for it. Idk if it's justified or not tbh. I know the show takes place in France and Norman lives in France so it's pretty convenient, but it's not the only reason the show is set there. I'm sure they wanted to film it somewhere in Europe to expand TWD universe beyond USA. When it comes to how he pictures Daryl I only remember him saying that "Daryl has no game" and that "Leah thing was rushed" and I agree with both so I enyojed that he understood Daryl as a character. Can you give me some source where he says something that doesn't fit Daryl as a character? And what are the "bad ideas" that Norman had that you mentioned in your post?
Hi, so I’m not super up-to-speed with the Norman controversies (I try to remain ignorant because I don’t want my illusion to be broken, but it’s kind of already happened unfortunately), but there’s kind of a lot.
I know Norman has hung out/supported known creeps (e.g., Marilyn Manson, Terry Richardson), and he once mentioned in an interview that he found it “hot” when he was doing a makeout scene with a co-star and she was nervous. He also has used the “t” slur (tho tbh I think this was more out of ignorance than hate) in an interview. I think there might be more things but that’s the gist of what I know and what particularly bothers me. Also Norman has just said a lot of weird sexual stuff that was unnecessary/sexualizing women in a very immature way. All in all, that leads me to refer to him with the term “douchebag.” Also the fact that he wrote a book and used the phrase “helium-filled balloon ass” to describe a woman’s buttocks. I don’t have any receipts rn (not because they don’t exist, but because I’m lazy and most of this is my opinion and I’m not trying to change anyone’s opinion so I don’t feel like I need to show receipts).
At best, Norman is just cringey and ignorant. I don’t think he’s harmful really, just kind of a douche lol. I mean, he’s also really nice to his fans and has done a lot of good stuff with his fame, but it’s good to be critical of things that are deserving of criticism. Celebrity worship is a real problem and they should be held accountable if they do/say something fucked up. Everyone makes mistakes, but how hard is it to just not say weird shit or hang out with creeps?
I don’t think I can point you to exact sources as to why Norman doesn’t understand Daryl, but that statement was mostly just my personal opinion anyway. I think the best example is when Norman said Daryl would “fuck you but wouldn��t cuddle afterwards.” That seemed very inaccurate to me lmao but that could just be me projecting my affections onto Daryl.
Norman’s bad ideas include pushing for the show to be called Daryl Dixon (lol) and also (allegedly) pushing for the show to take place in France. Those are both bad ideas, in my opinion. Basically most of that post was just my opinion.
Also I don’t hate Norman Reedus, but I am critical of him and I think he’s pretty cringey (like why did he have to write a book anyway? I mean he had a ghost writer for sure but still). I don’t think he deserves online hate because no one deserves that, but also, he’s a rich celebrity/grown man who can definitely take the heat lol. I don’t support coming after his family (tho Diane is also a public figure soooo I mean she’s kind of fair game to some extent). I also think a lot of the Norman hate is just c*rylers being upset that he wanted the show to be in France (allegedly) and that ultimately led to Melissa dropping out, but that’s kind of a stupid reason to hate him since there are plenty of other things he’s done/said that are worth criticizing him for.
So my ultimate point is that there are valid reasons to be critical of Norman, but being upset that he may or may not have done something to curtail your favorite ship that has been long dead anyway is a silly reason imo. I think a lot of Norman hate recently is from c*rylers wanting someone to blame, and Norman is there. Blaming the decline/direction of the show on one person is a stretch.
My other point is that it’s okay to be critical of Norman and to dislike him or even hate him if that’s what you wanna do, but Daryl is a different story. I think c*rylers are also projecting their hatred for Norman onto Daryl, which sucks because Daryl is a good character, even if he’s not always the best character.
I don’t hate Norman, but I also don’t worship at his feet. Ok yeah, I run a server called Norman Reedus Whores, but that’s purely to sexualize him ok? I have a right to sexualize cringey middle aged men.

DystymiA here, and welp, as much I would love to write how they meet/inspire/surprise each other, i’m not an English native speaker, although I do write fanfics (Spanish only). I’m only taking art request.
But I can describe a little bit how I imagine Arno and Connor together. I like to place them meeting after Dead Kings (maybe in 1795 or 1796). Arno rejoins the Brotherhood in France, he wants vengenace for Charles Dorian (finally jsdjh). Shay plays a big part on this story, since he knows that Connor rebuilt the Brotherhood and destroyed the Templars in USA, so he is trying to resurrect the Templar Order in America and he stills has the precursor box.
Shay localized the Apple of Eden that Connor dropped at the sea, and the Templar Order becomes a menace again. Shay is the target of Arno and Connor, so they eventually meet (in France or America, i’m not sure tbh, both are good places).
(If it is in France) The first time, Connor sees Arno parkouring in Paris rooftops, he tries to catch him since he is looking for the French Brotherhood (Connor did learn a bit of French with Aveline). Arno actually knows that he is being chased and tries to ambush the “strange one”, he guides Connor into Saint-Chapelle. Inside of the church Connor didn’t know where the Assassin was, Arno tried to disable him, but Connor is enough skilled to counter him (he had a mini-heart attack tho, Arno is silent like a shadow, lol).
Arno is very surprised of Connor’s strenght, and Connor is impressed at Arno’s atlethic skills. Connor tries to explain that he wants to know where is the French Brotherhood, Arno understands (even with Connor’s kinda bad French accent) and tells to the American what happened.
In the course of searching for Shay Cormac and the leaders of the Templar Order, they build a friendship. Connor is more mature and older than Arno, so he is like a mentor/teacher. They help each other to heal wounds (they lost very important people and went through hard times), and eventually fall in love. I like to think it is a slow burn relationship.
Them fighthig together is fearful. In later years they are in historical events like the War of 1812 - or Napoleonic Wars.

odikleios is a fairly new one but. it’s set in this tiny mountain village in ornei (roughly where spain is in our world)
main characters are: chiara – the village shaman’s apprentice; vanessa (still figuring out a name) – a novice in the nearby abbey
and the idea is that chiara is sent by her master to stay at latyron abbey for a few months to learn the skills and become more. obedient. because she’s a little feral tbh in a hot way and there she makes friends with this girl called clementina because she immediately flirts with her and also a goatherd called tobias who just judges them all the time
and then one day the sky just goes dark. and it lasts for a day and a night and into the next day before fading out. and the village is super spooked so obviously they turn to the shaman and he calls chiara back to help
what happens after this i’m not too sure but something to do with fake prophecies and real prophecies and how the adults of odikleios (aka the shaman and the chief) use prophecies to manipulate the younger generation (aka vanessa and chiara)
and it’s something to do with keeping the two of them apart because they were both born on the same day (a solar eclipse) and some prophecy says they’ll do something the chief and shaman don’t want
and something to do with a curse on the village
but it ends with an epilogue that’s like 10 years later and the shaman has finally died so chiara can inherit the role and then vanessa competes in the competition to become the new chief (even tho she’s technically not supposed to for some reason – gotta figure that out) and wins because she’s cool like that
oh and they’re lesbians
chiara: hot but kind of insane, stubborn, likes fighting people, the kind of person to be described as ‘vivacious,’ she’s quite arrogant and sure of herself and she has little regard for rules
vanessa: seems very quiet and grumpy and comes off as very scholarly as first but you quickly find out she can beat just about anyone in a fight. also hot. and very sarcastic but fiercely protective of her friends and her home
yeah so the whole reason chiara became the shaman’s apprentice in the first place is because of the white hair and pale blue eyes she was considered cursed and was nearly sent to the abbey with the other ‘unnatural’ babies but the shaman took her in before that could happen because she had power

I’ve been trying to figure out what Will’s almost,,,wistful half-longing for leaving reminds me of, and I finally figure out. (And tho Byler are most often compared to samfrodo, I think in this scenario they would be more like Legolas and Gimli, hopefully making sure his love dearest friend gets to go with him.) ofc, again I could be way off, but just what I was thinking.

I am very intrigued by the new season, but I think I preferred season 3.
Like, I found a lot of it predictable so far, although I don’t know how exactly they plan to tie, what, four or five different story lines together and I’m very excited for that. I’m also not the greatest fan of the Russian gulags storyline, because I got traumatized as a Polish teenager by being forced to read about some Polish dude surviving these camps and what he described was much worse than what the show has showed us.
But I love Max and I love the new Robin x Nancy friendship! Also Argyle, the comic relief so desperately needed and Murray “my fingers are arrows” ❤️
Also the finale battle between El and Vecna will be epic, I can just see it 🤤❤️🔥
When you say Byler, you mean Will x Mike? I’ve seen it on tik tok and the that scene where El says Will has been acting different and doing the drawing happened and yeah, kid is fruityyyy. I’m not sure if Mike will reciprocate, but then he hasn’t been saying love to El for a while, so maybe he has a sexuality crisis of sorts too? Would be interesting to see how this pans out.
Also honorary shout out to Suzie for, as always, saving the day and also the “Never ending story” scene is my absolute fave 💖💖💖. Not even the singing, but everyone’s reaction as they’re trying to save the World, but instead they have to listen to two kids being cute and in love 🥰
And YES, Marauders!!! I can’t watch anything or read anything without associating it with Marauders. So here are my thoughts:
Steve Harrington is James Potter confirmed, no arguing there whatsoever. He’s hot, he’s popular with chicks, he’s the ally and the babysitter friend. I have a feeling someone will die in the series and I really, really hope it’s not him.
Robin to me has Marlene vibes, but this could be just me loving Marlene a lot. But Steve and Robin “platonic with capital P” is just James and Marlene.
And….
That makes Nancy Wheeler Lily! And look, it would work perfectly cause her and Steve dated and, I know they will likely get together again, but Robin x Nancy would be an amazing ship imo. I know Lily x Mary is the popular ship, but I have to be edgy and I prefer Lily x Marlene or Mary x Marlene. Nancy x Robin works beautifully for me, although I know it won’t happen.
Dustin is Peter. I like the idea of Peter not being the idiot friend and also the way Dustin worships Steve, but also constantly mocks him is how I imagine (dass) James’ and Peter’s friendship.
Max has strong Regulus vibes with how closed off she is, but actually very vulnerable on the inside. Also, she outran Vecna and it’s a total Regulus parallel.
I think look wise, Eddie reminds me of Sirius and although I don’t love Sirius, I don’t think he’d be a coward. But the hair and the clothing is 💯 Sirius. Also that conversation between Eddie and Steve about Nancy, would totally be Sirius and James about Lily 🥰
As for the rest of the characters…. I’m not really sure tbh.
I guess Eleven gives off Regulus vibes too and Will reminds me of Remus, but neither is my favourite character and I think their involvement in season 4 has been quite minimal so far tbh. I guess El could be Sirius too.
Dr Brenner is a total Dumbledore tho. And I hate him sooo much.

In the midst of my harrow the ninth reread still so I’m probably gonna start on Nona later than most people who pre-ordered it but I’m going to post a couple theories here that I have going in — keep in mind that I haven’t finished re-reading Harrow so I might disagree with myself when I’m done lol
The locked tomb is connected to Canaan house: my Big thought here is that the River connects the two, we only know of one entrance but I think the river is another entry point — harrow ends up in some bubble river version at the end of htn but that’s not what I mean — there are Multiple mentions of “brackish” water at Canaan (the fountain for instance), the River to my knowledge is neither described as fresh or salty (called oily and bloody) but brackish water occurs where rivers meet oceans and the salty and fresh water intermingle so it’s semi-salty — this would make sense with Canaan house surrounded by salty ocean water and the river as freshwater (standard for rivers) — there are other instances of salty/saline water like the pool at Canaan house and on the ninth which feel distinctly baptismal (like The River tbh) tho salty and I think that could be a grounding effect for necros? Like not something Practiced really but like a necro equivalent of a folk remedy/protection — beyond salt we hear of crux working in abandoned tunnels on the 9th and Abigail mentions something about tunnels at Canaan house soooooo 👀
And if this is the case then…who is in the tomb/s — I think Anastasia, Alecto, and Gideon are all contenders on the ninth in the locked tomb Alecto makes intuitive sense being the resurrection beast that God can neither give up nor defeat Anastasia makes sense as a decoy she builds this tomb with John and then ends up being the one buried there and she’s like the origin of the ninth, I think harrow could be a direct descendent so that may have given her a leg up in successfully getting into the tomb (or since they’re 9th traps she just intended for someone ninth time break in) also I think Anastasia has some parallels to Peter in the Bible being the rock of the church so it would make sense with the people on the ninth having sort of a secondary God with their worship of the locked tomb that it would make sense for it to be Anastasia also Gideon is my wildcard move but it makes so much sense to me for Gideon to be the body, that was one of my first thoughts even when they were in the pool in Gideon the ninth I was like OK but was it Gideon?? and on the one hand you would think Harrow would recognize her or that Gideon would recognize her when she sees her as well in harrows “hallucinations” but her hair is unseen in color she has the same eyes as Gideon after the lyctor trials and harrow plops all of Gideon stuff in her bubble tomb with her so I can’t shake it as an option… plus I think there’s gonna be a big plot with time in the two upcoming books — time kept getting mentioned in Harrow and so I think it’s possible that the body in the tomb is Gideon displaced in time
Alecto is the soul of earth/it’s resurrection beast — I feel like this is all but confirmed it just makes so much sense w language used to describe her, Jod’s monstrous eyes, the beasts/monsters, the planetary flips in general etc my question is more the HOW or WHY like where did her body come from, Jod says he saved the world for someone once but not for himself…is the resurrection him saving the world? Is the apocalypse saving the world? Not sure of his motive so could be either like did he destroy everything so he could rebuild a better place or did he destroy everything so he could bring back one person and in that case…did he have someone he was trying to save and he then placed Earths soul in that body and slowly the soul overtook what was human — there’s also a mention of a “rib” out of context but nearby and that wording placement is interesting given the context of creation or saving a world and the rib of Adam being what was used to create Eve
Hubris is a bitch and the ianthe quote about her interest in “what eats us” or whatever kinda feels like she’s gonna get eaten by a mouth in the river…or just a resurrection beast maybe…the whole Cain/Abel thing def makes it seem like corona will be involved tho — also re-corona I know we were thinking this anyway but I’m just gonna restate that I think that she is the crown him with many crowns character she’s described in royal terms and in sun terms so often and she’s radiant and her name has a sun connection and I just always think of Louis the 14th the sun king and it just all clicks for me
Who is Nona? Idk bro. I think it could be Gideon and Harrows body and Gideon just doesn’t remember things because she was in the river too long and so her brain kind of got wiped but also I might just be placing her there because I miss her — it definitely could be a Alecto or Anastasia too lol I am so committed to Anastasia being a larger part of the storyline so I’m also throwing her many places as well but I whoever is the body in the tomb is a good bet because harrow goes into the river portion of the tomb and I think it’s possible that by doing that and by harrows body dying in the river that left a gap for the soul in the tomb to escape through the river sort of like a one for one exchange…so TBD
BOE: eden is earth which is Alecto… at one point Harrow asks who is Eden and doesn’t correct her by saying it’s not a person…suspicious

I just read Nor Shouts O’ War again (it’s so amazing, I don’t even have the words to describe how much I love your writing style)
Anyway, assuming that what happens in that fic is canon in your worldstate, how does the hawke/Anders first meeting differ? Is the recognition instant or does it come later like “oh shit, that was YOU?!” Im sure you have Thoughts about it and I’d love to hear them

this got a little long
yknow, in its first iteration NSoW was only the first chapter and it was going to be the opening of my longfic. hawke fights the templar, anders escapes into the night, cut to lothering and the rest of the story.
so in Draft 1, they don’t recognize each other right off, and it only really dawns on hawke during the chantry fight, when the templars doing their smite thing jogs her memory. i was going to post that bit, but rereading it, aside from all the general first draft issues...the payoff isn’t great
i went back later and added the back half of NSoW where they properly meet, so it could stand on its own a little better (since i liked the battle scene a lot and didn’t want it to just rot in my WIPs for eternity lol.) but having done that, it’s less plausible they wouldn’t recognize each other right off. i’m still figuring out how that goes tbh!
what makes it interesting/tricky is it’s a pretty big emotional beat to drop into a sequence that already has a lot going on. figure anders has to be pretty keyed up anticipating breaking karl out that night, and while hawke is some rando in canon and he rolls with it, i’d think having the rando who killed a templar for him a year ago suddenly reappear would throw him a lot more.
like i was trying to gesture at in the last bit of NSoW, he’s repressed that memory a fair bit. it occupies a delicate space in the back of his mind. having someone come to his rescue so dramatically is so far outside the run of his (or most mages’) experience, right, the kind of fortune that won’t strike twice, he’s kind of walled it off so it won’t hurt too much, yknow? something to draw comfort from without letting it be too real or color his expectations going forward
so having the memory he’s turned into this sort of talismanic figure walk back into his life in the flesh, when he’s already Big Stressed, probably leaves him pretty vulnerable! thinking about which of anders’ demonstrated ways of Not Being Great at vulnerable situations i want to go with (’:
as far as hawke’s concerned, it’s just a relief to see he made it. she’s spent the last year selling her soul over piece by piece, watching bethany harden and her mother fall apart, it’s like thank the maker at least one of her bad decisions worked out. doesn’t really change much for her tho, as she would have agreed to whatever he wanted for the maps anyway. if anything, it makes her a little quicker to look past the possession thing since she’s already marked him down as one of her people
so long story short, it pretty much gets them where they were already going, but faster!
(althoo....it’s occurring to me now it opens up a possibility space wherein he just gives her the maps out of gratitude & she wouldn’t find out about the possession until later....not sure if that goes anywhere interesting)
regardless, the templar fight is def part of lisi’s canon, gotta seal off her escape hatch back to ferelden after the blight. as far as the longer convo with anders afterward...still thinking abt whether it really adds enough to the story going forward yknow!

it really gets on my nerves the way resources about child abuse focus on the child to the exclusion of all else, and this idea of “well why didn’t the other parent step in” is so fucking pervasive. it’s cuz they’re also abused you fucking clown! you fucking dust mite! it’s like as soon as child abuse comes into the picture the idea of partner abuse just fucking evaporates! and it drives me nuts! like people claim to have sooo much sympathy for partner abuse but as soon as it’s not just two people locked in a house together by themselves it’s always “well why didn’t you step up and protect them” bitch!!!! no!!!!
(apparently twitter was Having A Moment about parentification and someone linked an article that the quote at the beginning is excerpted from. parentification is a serious problem and can really fuck you up even in the absence of other forms of trauma and abuse/neglect (even though it very rarely comes alone) but like. part of being an actual adult now is understanding that sometimes more than one person is a target. usually more than one person is a target.)
(the [article] is otherwise interesting tho, given that apparently parentification is extremely common in mental health practitioners, although I guess they don’t have the self awareness necessary to reach their full potential in that regard which is a shame.
additional heads up that it does use pretty consistently gendered language for the theoretical parentified child, even though it is not a phenomenon exclusive to girls/young women, which the author does include a note about at the end. that may also be dealing with their shit though, in a more excusable case than most. and it does randomly fall into the surface level horseshit clownery about personality disorders around the part they start talking about romantic relationships in adult life, though that’s the only part where it comes up.
in better news it does also include the awareness that one cannot live on self-validation alone, which, yes. good. if the whole problem is these unbalanced relationships, finding more balanced ones is like, kind of necessary to believe it doesn’t have to be that way, and get the stuff all people need from interpersonal relationships of one kind or another.
it’s also written from an Indian perspective, as both the author and many of the interview subjects are mentioned as being Indian or working in India. the experiences and such described still line up very well with my own, so I’m not sure how much direct cultural impact there is at play here, but if you have an Indian friend who may struggle with the after-effects of parentification maybe they’d like this article more than one written by a white lady.
overall, pretty solid. except for those couple little issues I mentioned. a lot better than that book I haven’t finished tbh.)

So just as a concept Meryl the Punisher makes me giggle and kick my feet so have this word vomit abt her.
She’s definitely still the headstrong rule following lady we all know and love, she’s just got a massive cross gun that’s almost taller than her now /j. She’s definitely got All the religious trauma and oh my god she is severely fucked up but in an awesomely kick ass and cry in the arms of your definitely not lover way.
She and Nicholas still argue over everything dw. I couldn’t remove that dynamic if I tried (I love it too much)
She thinks Vash is a bit of an idiot (like Milly) but as she gets to know him they actually become really close and totally gossip about everyone together.
With Milly…. Good lord. There is so much here.

One, Meryl just thinks milly is really hot (me 2 tbh) and is like “okay so maybe the lady I was contracted to follow isn’t so bad after all” and just *shakes my hands and vibrates* THEM.
Milly is kind of weirded out at first by Meryl’s um everything but like not in a rude way, she just doesn’t know why this woman keeps following her. But she’s pretty so she’s not complaining.

Milly and Vash bonded over being the biggest sweet tooths known to mankind. I love their friendship sm it’s one of my favorites.
Tesla does have 2000’s music taste and by that I mean she got introduced to it by Rem and that was the biggest mistake Rem made. (Based off that one ask that I love to bits)
Team fuck around and find out is back in business and we love to see it.
Wolfwood totally is on the edge of getting fired and Milly probably is the only thing making sure he keeps his job.

So I’m just re-watching episode 3 and... I really love the scenes between Louis and Jonah and.. it just occurred to me how extremely human these scenes make Louis look? Like his accent getting all strong makes total sense in the context of him talking to someone from his youth, someone who is a Black man as well.
But it it also occurred to me this is the first (and only?!) time we really see Louis flirting? Like we’ve never seen him have this kind of confidence before? He was very much denying and fighting his homosexuality when he meets Lestat (you can see it quite explicitly in a couple of scenes, also him concluding this could never happen again after having sex with Lestat for the first time). But Jonah is somebody he is familiar with, someone he knows is also queer, plus it is already established there is some mutual attraction which is being rekindled. But it is Louis actively flirting with him. Asking if he remembers their shared youth [and their “early fumbles”], which is in part due to Lestat watching them, I guess, getting even with him in a way, calling him out on his “of course”.
But but BUT what I really wanted to say (sorry for getting off track a bit there ahsdhoas) is... there is no vampire moves to it. There is no indication he’s reading his mind, influencing him in any way with his newly won powers (which he is also still rejecting to a degree at this point). Just some very human “do you remember” and “look at my cool car” (aiosdadhs Louis I can’t even 😂😂😂). It’s just so abusrdly cute and very deeply human in a way?
And I do kinda see how Lestat is jealous here, because Louis has never been flirting with him like this. And he keeps telling Louis (and us) how much he wants Louis to explicitly say / show he loves him?
I mean of course it is on the other hand very obvious how Louis wasn’t like that with Lestat when he met him. One part being him struggling a lot more with his sexuality and his shame about it there. But also Lestat is being very active in pursuing Louis. Louis describes it as being hunted (we’re gonna ignore the unreliable narrator level here bc I don’t wanna go this deep here - and also bc I do believe it in general terms, I guess). Like there are parts where we see Lestat taking it kinda slow, including Lilly there to ease Louis into it. But also then getting very insistent, basically jumping a distraught Louis who is in shock over the death of his brother (with he witnessed first hand, his mother blaming him for it etc.), not leaving him alone... But then here on the other hand also Louis isn’t being only passive here. I love how it is very clearly him initiating the kiss with Lestat after Lilly is out of the picture. All these nuances and complexities really are what makes their relationship so compelling I think!
And uh... I guess I also have some thoughts about Lestat courting Louis and Vampire Moves tbh (bc I introduced the absence of them in Louis flirting with Jonah) but this post is already so long 🙈 What it does probably boil down to though (not 100% sure bc I haven’t really thought this through yet). But, in my view, he isn’t even using his Vampire Moves much? Like yeah he is in Louis’ mind and showing some tricks but... more in a showing off way than in a manipulative way? Like whatever Louis is trying to tell us here, he is just really attracted to that French guy. He may also be repulsed by him in some ways (or maybe more by his visceral reaction(s) to him, hm, Louis?) but damn he wants to fuck that guy so bad it makes him look stupid.
And yeah you might raise the argument that Lestat does use his Vampire Moves when he’s in Louis’ head, pestering him about how he is not gonna be ignored right after Paul died. But he first walked up to him when the family were on their way to the cemetery and.. was pestering him in quite mundane ways there, you know? Like him being in his mind was driving it to a head a bit more quickly and dramatically maybe but... knowing Lestat he would probably also have been able to be an absolute pest, just showing up again and again, not taking no for an answer (and he basically does so in ep 6, doesn’t he?). So yeah Louis is talking about vampire bonds and mind gifts but... he attracted to him. Big time. I ain’t buying your angle here, Louis.
(Only that of course I kinda do, bc Lestat is a narcissistic manipulative shit in certain ways as well. And doesn’t take no for an answer. Neither in ep 1 nor in ep 6. But then ep 7... weeelll... layers and all 😅😂 But I hope you still get my point.)

Okay erm... episode 1x05 is certainly very visceral and also very complex and I’ve already seen a lot of interesting thoughts about..
I just wanna concentrate on a very small thing and how I read it, and it’s Daniel slapping Louis. Because to me it was very very clear that that slap was a desperate (and very obvious to everyone in the room) attempt of Daniel trying to pretend he has any kind of control over the situation. Because he very clearly has not. Louis could literally tear him apart without lifting as much as his little finger and he kinda knew all along but that scene is when he really *got* it like rationalized it and he was freaking the fuck out about that.
And Louis and Rashid also understood that for what it was and therefore let it slide in a “yeah let’s all go with the pretense the human can defend himself in any way, shape or form here” when he very very clearly can’t? Like let’s all take a deep breath and pretend it’s fine / nothing of that happened.
Which says nothing about Daniel being an asshole but... man was frightened to death there tbh
