I love the idea of a genderbent Golden Trio especially because of Ron and his Quidditch player position. Hear me out! We only really know of women playing as Keeper in professional Quidditch teams, while most of the time men are preferred to fill in, because Keepers are supposed to be broad and carry the heaviest set of gear due to the added protections. I’m just imagining a fem!Ron who is tall and lanky and when she makes the house team, everyone has a great round of laughter because it’s going to be so easy to knock her off her broom. But it isn’t at all. She is fast and sturdy and way too hotheaded. It doesn’t come easy, Harry and Hermione need to talk her into it, ‘of course you’re enough, girls make fantastic Keepers, if anybody says otherwise, it’s rubbish’ and one day Hermione comes back with a thorough research on female Quidditch players, ‘see? You’re going to be just fine.’ And Harry? When she sees her best friend after a game? All sweaty and bright because she has proven everybody wrong? She is enamoured.

Simon Riley would definitely be a girl dad.
He would be so patient with his daughter(s) and just so damn sweet. All the affection he lacked in his childhood and his past would just ooze out of him intrinsically the minute he held his little girl for the first time.
Imagine the baby’s first night home. He would not take his eyes off his little girl. The slightest amount of fussing and he’s worked up, mans would be more stressed about her comfort and wellbeing than he’d ever been about himself or anyone on the battlefield.
Everything would be a mission: Diaper change? Roger that. She’s hungry? On it. Crying cus her pacifier fell out? Engage immediately.
And when she’s older, of course he’s gonna play with her, that man is gonna be her best friend. That little girl is gonna be the boss of him though, he’s under her command. Princess tea parties with dad complacently sitting at the smallest plastic pink chair and the tiniest teacup in that behemoth of a man’s fingers. The tiara is a necessity too.
And when they’re role playing it has to be her way. If he says something off-script she’ll let him know and he’d say “Oh, understood…Sorry, love” And yeah big, bad, gruff voiced Simon is using a girl voice, unless he’s playing a prince or a villain which is a rare occurrence in their playtime.
The older she gets the more love grows in his once cold heart if that’s even possible. He’d be so protective of her, so kind and gentle and understanding yet he’d be like her shadow and guardian angel. He wouldn’t be a “chill dad” because he’s used to seeing danger in every situation and knows anyone/everyone could have ulterior motives with his little girl. But he’d definitely be an understanding dad; super authoritative, never authoritarian.
He’d always tell her how proud he is of her, “Love ya, kiddo” at any and every moment. He would just overall be the dad he unfortunately never had, he’d make it his goal for his little girl to never feel what he felt. Only the love he deserved and later got when he met his wife.

Not to like, project as an eldest daughter or anything, but watching grown women play children is so revealing of what it’s like to be a daughter. Both Izzy and Siobhan have been daughters. Their lives have given them history and experience and desires for what being a child means, and that can’t be erased from the fictional characters they chose to inhabit.
Siobhan chose to play an eldest daughter’s escapist fantasy. Jaysohn is totally focused on himself. Jaysohn isn’t worried about secrets, he’s not literally losing sleep to figure out what’s happening in his family. He’s not thinking about his mom at all when he jumps into a bear. He gets hungry and bites down and doesn’t worry at all about what any of it means or how it impacts others. At every turn, Jaysohn flatly rejects the chance to be aware and alert to the nuances of his family. He is an eldest daughter’s fantasy that you can be important and integral to your family without having to spend every waking second being so aware of everything happening around you. You can make selfish choices and leap without looking and just exist. You do not have to be burdened with the need to unravel the world around you just to keep everything together.
While Izzy tailor made a character to figure things out. Lila needs to know what the blue is. She needs to know all the secrets of her family so she can understand what is happening. The most important thing in the world is knowing what is being kept from her because then maybe she can make it better. She takes her mom’s side against her dead dad, and explains big scary ideas to her brother, and looks to her mom before jumping into danger. She never acts without thinking of the world and people around her.
If you asked an eldest daughter what being a child is like, Jaysohn is who we want to be and Lila is who we are.

Today I’m thinking about Fox being left behind by his batchmates
They move on and have glorious battles alongside their generals, and he’s just…stuck on Coruscant. All the time.
And he’s always the one to comm them, these days
And then he stops even doing that, because it’s better not to reach out than have them never reply, because then he can at least pretend
The day comes when he realizes he might never see them again, and not because they’re dead

Midas working up the courage to explain the Medusa tattoo he has on his upper forearm to Montague.
Some have asked in the past what it means to him and he replies halfheartedly with something like, “it symbolizes power.” But that’s not entirely true, is it, Midas?
If you don’t know, the Medusa tattoo DOES mean empowerment.. but it also is a badge of honor for those who have survived sexual assault.
In my head, both Montague and Midas are heavily traumatized from both their pasts and current lives, this being one of the things Midas has kept secret from everyone he knows including his own daughter, Jules. Eventually with a lot of time and effort, Montague is the first soul to hear Midas cry and explain something so personal to him.
Just a little angst for your souls :] as a treat…
MIGHT I ADD-
The pain of appearing “too strong, too confident, too powerful” to have gone through such a dehumanizing act should let you all be aware that he is human too and can be vulnerable, under all of that thick skin. Anyone can be a victim and that is the unfortunate truth.
Montague had no idea this well put together man, is a crumbling mess on the inside. But he understands all too well 💗

Despite being *incredibly* behind on Redacted videos I still have Redacted thoughts from time to time.
Today? David and Angel who regularly shower together.
Not in the sexual way (okay, maybe sometimes in the sexual way) but in a sweet, domestic way. Washing each other’s backs and just taking care of each other in such a simple way. Just to make sure they’re clean.
Angel in the throes of burnout from work, they /have/ to shower to feel clean and like a person but they can’t bring themself to do anything more than sit under the hot water and evaporate, and David who stands behind them and patiently does their annoyingly long hair-care routine, applying their face wash, and gently spraying them down when he’s done-
David, who’s a wreck after the summer solstice, having Angel gently wash away all the sweat and tension away from the day. They’re massaging shampoo into his scalp as he melts, pressing kisses into his temple and wiping the soap from his eyes as they wash it out.
But it’s not just when they need it most. It’s almost every night (unless someone’s away) sometimes it’s just a weeknight and Angel is chatting about their day, or a late Sunday when David’s pulled an almost-all-nighter and Angel is trying not to fall asleep between the warm water and David’s calming presence.
That’s all vv

Idk if this is a hot take or anything but I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that Jon didn’t have any friends (besides Martin) basically the entire series.
Sasha was nice enough but she was strictly professional. Tim was reasonable in the beginning and I like to believe they were friends but honestly he’s pretty wary of Jon s1. Melanie hated Jon the whole way through. Georgie was there for a bit before things got too messy, but the way she treats him s5 is like a time bomb. Basira treated Jon like a stove with a broken gas release, and Daisy, my god Daisy. I could go on and on about their relationship but it was really clear after the trauma she inflicted on Jon he could never truly trust her.
They all feed into the theme of Jon’s inhumanity, but I remember listening and being confused because I always saw ppl treating this like a found family when they never were.

You said that if you dated Peter or Wade it would make you miserable. Which– Okay fair, Wade does have a history of purposely hurting the people he loves.
But what about Peter? Why do you think dating him would make you miserable?
because I’ll always know I had the option to climb a 6’8 cyborg and I passed that up for a sweaty little twunk that I perpetually have to remind to bathe (sorry peter)
