genuinely the most frustrating thing abt trying to do commissions is marketing, if you dont already have an audience. theres so much luck involved. you can be doing everything you can to make ppl aware of your work & get no results. it can feel like nobody cares, that your art isnt good enough, when in reality its more likely that barely anyone even knows it exists, that anyone who would commission you hasnt seen your art at all

literally hows an itty bitty artist supposed to succeed in this economy!!
