I printed everything at the fancy library in my hometown or at FedEx! Everything is from Tumblr, Pinterest, or TikTok and I spent a lot of time curating and saving different photos and stuff over a period of years that were both Bandom related and just fit the aesthetic I like

Other things are different memorabilia I’ve been saving for years, like a tag from Forever 21s Romeo and Juliet line is one of my favorite pieces in it, and there’s some old wrapping paper with roses my mom bought in the 90s before I was born, and there’s a semi-nude sketch my friend did of her body for art class in college, and there’s a ticket from one of those fortune machines, photo strips of me and my friends, postcards, polaroids, just stuff like that

A lot of those are also coloring pages I colored myself with glitter pens. The collage above my bed is butcher paper that I taped everything to before I moved in and the one above my desk has just slowly grown over the last year and a half. There’s also tapestries and a fairy calendar and stuff. The stars are holographic silver paper I used star-shaped hole punches my mom had to make and then taped it to the ceiling.

It’s been a lot of years of kind of intensive work at times. and I would say a decent amount of money went into the printing, but it ranges from $0.15-$1.25 a page and has been done over years so nothing crazy lol

I love my room a lot, I was not really allowed to decorate my room as a kid and it was a big point of contention between me and my mom. At risk of trauma dumping (sorry) at one point in my teens I did watercolor paintings inspired by shit like Doctor Who and Supernatural and put them on my closet door and she actually tore them up and threw them out because they were “ruining the walls.” It was part of what led up to me getting taken to the hospital in a cop car a la Pete Wentz. Anyway, now that I’m 24 I really wanted to create like the perfect teen girl becoming emo fantasy type of bedroom that was also a little more adult, hence all the renaissance and 20s era paintings and 70s art. There’s also a bit of 70s-90s college stoner girl fantasy I haven’t really let go of so there’s a lot of that as well. So there’s pictures of Pete Wentz with his shirt off but also stills from Care Bears and Sailor Moon. And cats of course lol

enough of this 'in as few words as possible' I want the entire history of how your music taste got where it is; i'll start.

so anyway I wasn't allowed to listen to anything besides gospel music (and even then only certain types) till I was like 11-ish. Despite that I was allowed to listen to disney music, so when I was 8 and heard Immortals by imagine dragons in big hero six I lost it. I listened to that song constantly it was always playing. Anyway, 11 year old me found out about the music app having a search bar, i had only ever been allowed to listen to things my dad had predownloaded into the library. So I found fall out boy, and imagine dragons and for months listened to nothing but them. Just me sitting in my room at midnight feeling like i was breaking rules listening to Sugar we're going down and radioactive. Then i found Bastille and 21 Pilots through finding the recommendations tab and then eventually MCR; and the Avril Lavigne And then uh, yeah my music kinda stayed there, it was mainstream pop-kinda-sorta-punk. But it was clean, i literally would not listen to a song that had a single bad word in it bc I don't say those words i'm a good kid. I listened to teenagers through a youtube clean cover like, i was so careful.

Anyway, my mother, the most awesome person i know and i'm not even joking I love her so much. Took me to Hella Mega Tour for my birthday bc I found out fall out boy was going to be there and convinced myself I was going to DIE if i did not see them live.

(Note my mom was 14 when green day got popular, she reasonably could have been listening to them as a teenager. Except that same year my moms parents joined the cult we were in and she was forbidden from listening to that type of music.)

back on topic, fall out boy finished I was PUMPED, i also had school the next morning and it was already getting late. So my mom told me "I've heard of this next band, but I don't really know any of their songs we can leave now if you want" I decided to stay, just to hear the first 2-3 songs and see if i had any interest, they started with American Idiot and halfway through the song it was decided the only way to get me out of that stadium while they were still playing would be kicking and screaming. Billie Joe Armstrong changed the trajectory of my life completely that night and he doesn't even know it.

after that it just kinda? spiraled? Royal & the serpent got me with hearing overwhelmed, Alkaline Trio with Calling All Skeletons, I started listening to Teenagers uncensored ik so scandalous. I found Grandson bc of a norway cosplay tiktok that used Blood//Water (no i'm not joking); and Sabaton bc of a hetalia fic about the winged hussars. My friend introduced me to Des Rocs recently, another friend Sueco, i don't actually remember how i found Ghost :\ And Daisy Grenade opened at the fall out boy concert I went to a few months ago and I love them now <3

And then i stumbled head first into folk punk due to a pinterest comment that referenced Ramshackle Glory, AJJ, Bitch & Animal, Mischief Brew my beloved. Folk punk is my moms least favorite genre i've gotten into. Then a guy told me if i like folk punk to check out Petey and now my favorite song like scream in the car after a bad day song is Pitch A Fit, it's so good man.

but anyway Fall Out Boy is still my favorite band bc they were the first band I ever listened to.

I think I could be persuaded to like orange in the same way that I like green now if it was a soft orange that was promoted.  You know, like sage green, but orange.  The neons are abhorrent to mine own eyes, but soft, almost pastel but perhaps not quite?  Like amethyst and that millennial pink.  Yeah.  I could dig it.  I don’t think I’d wear it, but I could appreciate it.

I also think I’m going to have to be content with not doing Love Psalm and just sticking with One More Soul.  Love Psalm is literally so good, but I just think it’s above my skill level as an arranger (Paradise might be too, but I’m going to sink all of my focus into that one and see what I can get out of it), and I’ve already committed to doing One More Soul with my cello-friend (assuming I can amass the rest of the parts).  ‘Tis a shame, I know, I know.  But alas, what can one do?

Nothing gets me more heated than reading a research article that was obviously written by a scientist with no anthropology training.  It’s not that they don’t follow ethics, which they do because they’re subject to IRBs if they’re working with humans, it’s that they tend to have some of the worst, most racist things to say and they’ll use that stupid neutral uppity science tone to make it seem like they can’t be questioned.  And even if the people who write that stuff claim that they’re not racist, it’s also clear that they’re not anti-racist or even aware of the history of racism in science (that literally continues in medicine to this day which is why we need bioengineers of color so bad!!!) which is literally the bare minimum because if they were they’d know to critically consider their work before they publish it UGH.  UGH UGH UGH.

One of the challenges I expect to face as a woman of color in a science field is being able to challenge people/works that do this type of nonsense level-headedly because I know that being emotional in my response will make me look less credible, even if I’m not.

I had a sectional today (two days before the concerts lol) which was really fun but one of the choir directors was there just because I guess (?) but he said he wanted angry, angry altos and like, ooooohh I’ve got plenty of anger, it’s just that it’s the feminine anger in the way that I swallow it down and let it fester and burn somewhere deep within me.  I don’t even completely know what I’m angry at.

Today I’m thankful that I went back into reading Crooked Kingdom lol.  Chapters 26 and 27?????  WHEW.  I could never read actual smut in public because those chapters alone with people who could barely touch one another (but it was literally the fact that Kaz was trying so hard and Inej was being so patient and AGH I love them) had me physically almost giggling and screaming, and not to mention the grime, the fight scene.  Ooooh man I sure do love me a fictional boy who knows how to fight.  I am keeping to my no-pinterest-no-tiktok rule, though I’ve almost slipped up with Pinterest a few times because that’s my go-to boredom app (even though it’s super rare to actually come across something terribly new/interesting, it’s just an old habit).  BUT YEA it’s so fantastically satisfying seeing Kaz’s plans fall into place.

Except you didn't think it, you said out loud.

One evening, around 8 pm, the two of you went to a nearby basketball court.

You knew the basics, like how to dribble, and that you're supposed to aim at the painted square on the backboard. (i think idk)

A/N: I was trying to find a fitting way to enter into the Haikyuu fanfic community and this seemed most appropriate. This lowkey got deep for daichi. I apologize if any part of this post sounds like one of Noah Centineo’s wannabe inspirational pinterest quote-eque tweets. It also kinda got less in-depth the longer it went on, I've been up for 28 hours going on three hours of sleep please cut me some slack.

Daichi: Daichi is the dad of the team, that being said unlike most dads (in my experience) I don’t think he necessarily tries to hide when he is feeling negative emotions from the team (his kids). He is a wonderful captain and encourages his teammates to express emotion in a healthy way rather either bottle it all up, or overindulge in the negative feelings in the name of “processing”. That being said, I feel as though because he focuses so much on his team and how to help them handle their emotions, he doesn’t really know how to handle his own. I see him as someone who saw a TikTok saying that you can’t cry to medieval tavern music, and that’s now his go to.

Sugawara: Sugawara Koshi, the mom of the Karasuno team. I feel that at this point it’s practically canon that Suga is secretly a certified hoe bad bitch, and so being a bad bitch he 100% watched the Hannah Montana movie and therefore would undoubtedly cry to the song “Climb”. I also see him crying to literally any song on Ariana Grande’s most recent album Positions, specifically “34+35”.

Asahi: Asahi would definitely only cry to actual sad songs, though Asahi could cry to anything cause he’s just a big softy like that, I also feel like he lowkey likes to be sad in a way. Really just likes to sit in the feels and process it ya know? So I would put him down as someone to cry to “You Said You’d Grow Old With Me” by Michael Schulte. I consider Asahi as a person who both really wants to be in a romantic relationship, and genuinely feels happier when he is in one. This leads me to believe that love songs would be his go to for late night cries.

Nishinoya: Noya would, without a doubt in my mind, cry to “That Bitch” by Bea Miller. Noya does a lot to make sure he always looks, acts and feels like the perfect libero. And so even when crying I have the impression that Noya would want to make sure that he knows he is still in fact that bitch.

Tanaka: Tanaka would cry to “Toxic” by Britney Spears (#freebritney). It’s just something about it I don’t know what, call it instinct but I definitely see Tanaka crying to that song. Or him and Noya and Hinata all crying to “Vogue” by Madonna and trying to do the dance to cheer themselves up.

Kageyama: Kags would cry to “She’s So Gone” from Lemonade Mouth. I think he secretly has a real love for every early 2000s-2010s Disney Channel Original Movie, and would keep a playlist just for when he’s feeling down so he can jam out. Would 100% know the whole dance to “We’re All In This Together”.

Hinata: Hinata would cry to “Mad at Disney” by Salem Ilese. This poor baby probably got his heart broken due to him having unrealistically high expectations and would just be pissed off and frustrated at the world.

And keep in mind: this is coming from an obese person. Onto the second part of the question: totally. I wouldn't watch let's plays if I didn't, and I grew up loving to watch my dad and brother play. I'll watch an even wider variety of games than I play, but it more so depends on who the person is versus what they're playing, because whom I watch is controlled by whether or not/how much I enjoy the individual themselves. here’s the best way i can describe daisy: take the love for fashion and luxury of carrie bradshaw and cher horowitz, mix it with the power and intensity of olivia pope, and add in all the meanness of every single rude, b*tchy person you can think of. that’s her.

daisy was born to a huge italian family who all had odd jobs; her dad specialized in fixing the batteries on smoke detectors. her mom ran the laundromat down the street. a lot of her uncles owned car detailing businesses and she had a couple of older cousins who were janitors or low-level staff members at the local middle schools. while her family was fine with this, because hey, it paid the bills, daisy, who had always had expensive tastes from the start, turned her nose at it all.

she, unsurprisingly, became the first in her family to make it past high school. daisy did absolutely every major, resume-boosting thing while she was in school, because she learned very quickly that she liked power and being better than others. there was something she loved about coming home from school and getting to brag about her debate team win while her cousins could only nod. 

she was great at school, and she made sure everyone knew. she did mock trial, debate, sga -- she even joined the environmental club just for the clout. and then one of the people in her model un group said she should run for president one day.

it made sense. daisy likes power, she likes bossing people around and always being right, and she doesn’t take shit from anyone. she’d be a fantastic fucking president. so, naturally, after finishing college and pushing through an internship she didn’t really like just so she could have another bullet point on her resume, daisy applied for an internship at masters international. she knew she’d get the gig, obviously.

daisy loves fashion and luxury. she spends majority of her money on vintage chanel tweed matching sets to wear into the office, she has red bottoms that give her four extra inches of height, and her foundation costs over a hundred dollars. you’d think she’d want to be on the floors that deal with vogue and help organize new york fashion week, but that’s not going to get her a presidency, duh. daisy interns on the floors that handle the news broadcasts so she gets firsthand knowledge on all the shit, political or otherwise, that goes down in the country.

she’s so, so controlling and bossy. she wants to be the absolute best at everything, and the shining star of it all. daisy’s definitely an attention hog, and she’ll bust her ass on her work to make sure she’s better than everyone else on the floor with her. 

daisy’s very picky about who she hangs out with. as a future presidential candidate, optics are very important, obviously. she only surrounds herself with people she deems to be good for her image, and she’ll gladly let you know that she thinks you’re too shitty to be around. she cares a lot about how she appears to other people, you know.

daisy is selfish and rude, and truly doesn’t care if she hurts someone’s feelings. she speaks her mind and has absolutely no filter -- which gets her into a lot of trouble, i’m sure you can imagine.
