can’t express enough when I go on rambles about the Germanic language family the subtext is aimed at English speakers who make fun of the rest of them for sounding intimidating or silly or whatever; and that subtext is “they’re called sister languages for a reason, those are your sisters, now be a girls girl and shut the fuck up”

This blog is firmly anti-Dutch-language-slander btw. People who slander Dutch? Buffoons. Morons. Absolute fools. If you can’t appreciate guttural Gs and funky spelling, you have never known the true beauty of life, argue with the wall.

I’ve gotten through this year so far only reading a post and going “wow their spelling is really bad” and then realizing after it’s in Dutch twice.
