#hm i should make an original art tag #darth maul #maul #asajj ventress #senator maul au #the other two nightsisters are just random designs not ocs or canon characters i just wanted to add more dathomirians #because making maul the shortest in a group is one of my favorite visual gags #and i think it's fun that he'd be the most 'colorful' of the group #all clothes are reds n grays because i got lazy . i am not great at designing outfits. and even worse at picking colors for the designs #i gave him (all of them really) silver-ish jewelry because 1. i like the color more and 2. more fitting imo. silver is more magic propertie #i think in this au ventress is in the age range wookieepedia lists as her legends age. so she's like. younger than padmé #an apprentice senator. still learning about the senate and senatorial life so she can take maul's place when he quits #i think the other half of the delegation (or at least the other senator) would be significantly older than them. they're both so young #they need an older person who can be the voice of reason and experience #ventress gets big clotheys because 1. she's a teen here she deserves the proper coverage and 2. it's fun to go the opposite route of usual #fantasy designs where the guy gets a lot of layers and the girl gets clothes that show too much skin #but don't worry he IS wearing space underwear. a bad (or good) camera angle will not catch sight of his peanus in that second sketch

im currently in the process of upgrading my dollhouse lighting, so the current atmosphere of the dollhouse isn’t inspiring me to take pics. however, all the lovely photos of everyone’s dolls in their costumes inspired me to take a few quick photos before I started changing all the outfits for winter gear.

i haven’t really been posting anything lately, but I’ve still been living my best doll life. I had a ton of fun figuring out costumes for (mostly) everyone. I even did a bit of sewing! I altered quite a few princess dresses and even sewed a batgirl cape for ivy!!

Royalty must marry when they come of age, but Yor doesn't like any of the court-suggested suitors. She makes an agreement with a very normal healer in the kingdom to fake a royal marriage until she can figure something out. He brings along his adorable daughter (a fae changling unbeknownst to both of them). And, of course, she's also an assassin.

i finally finished alternate outfit designs for my ocs :) well these five at least lol

ill put the individual frames under the cut!

#finn's ocs #i think tumblr sort of made the drawings a bit blurrier so its harder to see some details like saiphs scars or miras stretch marks... sad!#hopefully clicking on it solves that?#anyway i ended up doing the pjs after all bc i figured messy hair would be fun to do #and if i was going to put saiph in underpants anyway it would be funny to do like. the cartoon heart boxers but w fire lol #the formal looks were fun to do though. you can tell al's is like totally inspired by utena's look in aou #there are for sure through lines i wanted to keep w all their outfits like in general #aside from just keeping the same colors and general style #like mira always has like a cold shoulder look and tends to have somekind of asymmetry towards the bottom #except for her formal look for the latter #saiph always wears those wrist things no mater what. also he always has somekinda flame pattern #polaris either has snowflakes stars or compasses ofc. and if she has somekinda skirt the red will be Under it #bella has the same skull design on her bows. except for the pj look where now the skull itself is wearing a bow #and al has the stars on the strings and mismatched shoes #the most similar outfits are the summer/spring and winter/fall ones #those are pretty much default outfits so thats why #and their hairstyles in the winter/fall looks are like just slightly longer versions of their summer/spring styles #they dont really change hairstyles for the beach and pjs aside from the long haired characters pulling them up different #or putting them down for the pjs look. in bellas case #their formal look probably has the most difference in hairstyle. like theyre not just grown out or pulled back #theyre like actually styled different #these arent their final looks btw there are like completely different timeskip designs too but like #id have to use different bases for those probably. there would be changes LOL #but yeah :)#finn's art #forgor that one

#Doodles #Villainsona #Just Desserts #I decided to go back and give a second chance to the scrapped outfits - and then since I still had more I'd made for funsies I did those too #Everyone gets another go around! Lol #It really was the scrapped outfits that started it tho - I was still very much of the silhouette mindset and I wanted to see how they fared #A mixed bag! Which is about what I expected tbh #I was the most pleased with the way over-scalloped design lol who could've guessed ♪ But it Does have the strongest silhouette!#Like yeah okay capes and capes - the Little Red and Queen designs do nothing for me because they start too high #Obviously I wasn't thinking about how her modified wings would interact with her outfit until later but they're a very important element!#A cape kinda defeats the purpose of the wings or becomes self-defeating lol #Either it enhances the silhouette behind her - which the wings are meant to do - or they cover her wings completely #Or in the worst case there's a slot for her wings to poke through and she gets tangled in both lol #There's themes there but it's not the visual I want! Haha ♪#Tails are probably the strongest silhouette I can work in that won't conflict with her wings but hmmm I'm still unconvinced #Which is a shame! That's one of the oldest design elements that I wanted to integrate!#A large collar also keeps making a reappearance but I still don't know how to make it less clunky lol #Returning to the digital outfits was fun too :) Since I never doodled them on paper and all #Drawing her with those metal shine lids is really fun too hehe ♪#I think my favourite is still the Ren Faire outfit :) It just looks so comfy! I'd wear that irl haha
