Honestly, with every single art post, the reblogs get lower and lower to the point now where you're lucky to get one reblog for every ten likes sometimes. And uh... like as an artist it's not so much that it bothers me about my own stuff for a variety of reasons, but if this is a wider trend site wide, it means I don't get the chance to see a lot of things, which in turn means I can't reblog an share it with my followers if I like it. Sometimes though I'll go dive in a tag and be shocked by stuff in there I can't believe wasn't put on my dash repeatedly. It feels like your own fandom community letting you down. Hey have so many notes, how have I not seen this art? And then you click and realise like 70% of the notes are kudos!!

I just think it's more migration from twitter, and maybe the platform itself slowing down? I don't know. I just wish people realised that when you kudo the works of an event week full of small artists, you're not supporting them.

I wish people realised more that we're part of a small community and that this requires some effort to maintain and grow. Something as insignificant as a reblog with 'i love it' tag is already cultivating both the community and the fandom.

Lmao idk if anyone else feels this but whenever I see gifs of Steve in endgame or like civil war…… it literally doesn’t look like Chris evans to me lmao. Idk like I see him now and I’m like yeah vague aspects of him are Steve, but it’s just not there lmao. Which is funny because obviously he played Steve, but it’s almost like the Ari thing where the characters are just their own entities, not guided by the actor that played them? The energy too, because of your fics I always think poyt Steve, dominating, a little cruel, edgy, softens a tad at his partner, or like antiquated Steve who’s dominant but in a soft 1940s way lol idek if I am making any sense, but when I see a gif of Chris in real life (like people magazine photoshoot), I automatically go “that is not the same person” it’s actually kind of fun to separate the characters out and make them their own people because they’re not encumbered or limited by how the actor looks or acts in real life; they’re just different. And I feel it also gives everyone freedom to really play with the characters, which is super fun from a creative standpoint. I guess what I’m saying is that I’ve been in fandoms where the actor is so completely and utterly intertwined with the character that they play that when you read the fic, it’s this combination of both. Or like the actor’s personality comes through strongly in the character, so it’s hard to separate them out. But I think he has a very separate personality and is able to construct an entirely different one for his characters (that he may not even identify with) which honestly (can’t believe I’m saying this) is the sign of a good actor? Lol I digress because I haven’t seen his indie stuff, but I’m not going to lie and say his performance as Steve Rogers was an Oscar winner (and it wasn’t meant to be). But I guess I admire how he acts in such a way that creates characters that take on a life of their own, which allows for a lot of spin, leeway, and expansion when people write fanfic (though tons of credit to the writers as well for how well they play with and mold the base material)
