chapter seven : park jisung
S I D E : A (written)
word count : 1k
Park Jisung was a gentle soul, the type you needed after the breakdown of your friendship with Gowon and as an extension, Chuu as well.
Park Jisung was someone that flustered easily, someone you needed after your ‘flirtatious’ relationship with Ten. If it could be called that. It was a mutually aesthetic relationship - you kept his days calm and people away. You got his jacket and photos for your collection.
But Jisung was someone that blushed whenever you got close and that had been ‘harmless’ fun at first. Someone who would make your whole world brighten with just his face.
He was also younger, by a year or two and his friends would always giggle at him when you would specifically greet him with a flirtatious-senior wave that made Yves shrivel in disgust.
“That poor boy is going to have a heart attack one of these days because of you Y/N, I swear to god,” Yves shook her head in dismissal before latching her hand onto your arm and pulling you through the school cafeteria. You spent a final glance on Jisung as you walked away, your lips pulling up in a sweet smile.
But it had been a sad day when Jisung had been the one to approach you. His youthful heart stammered as you tried to appear warm and sweet like every other time, but your eyes were so gloomy it stole his stutter right along with the light in your eyes.
With your legs folded in front of you and your fingers clasping at each other, he sat down in front of you with concerned eyes. He had dyed his hair with blonde highlights, wearing ripped jeans and a hoodie. Looking very much bad boy but not even able to act as one.
He would admit later that he had been trying to impress you but all his pre-rehearsed lines had gone out the window when he saw how down you were.
His eyes flickered between yours, watching the way your eyes collected tears like morning dew before he grabbed your hand.
“Come with me.”
He was soft, gentle. Nothing like Yves. You loved Yves. With all your heart you loved her. But you needed a bit of gentle in your life. That serenity came in the form of Park Jisung, an underclassman. Loved by many. Loved by all. Especially his friends.
They were a tight knit group consisting of Chenle, Ningning, An Yujin, Sunghoon, Jay and sometimes an older senior, Felix would join them all.
They liked you.
When you had first sat at their table, with your hands clasped in his and lunch snacks for the whole table, the boys had professed their love to you whilst the girls had hugged you so much you walked home smelling like Bed and Body Works.
Jisung was always so unlike anybody you had been with before. He was like soft peaches at Gowon’s mother’s orchard but without the pain of longing.
He became your best friend and you pulled him away for adventures that had his confidence boosting to megawatt levels. You had snuck into his English class to watch him present his speech and he had been so excited he had kissed you. On the chin. But you counted it.
Jisung was special and you made sure he knew it.
Every challenge and every obstacle was nothing, because he would get through it.
You had kissed him randomly after that, a kiss that fit him perfectly. But he didn’t think so.
Jisung's hand slid along the curve of your jaw to the juncture of your neck, nearly massaging it with his fingertips. The kiss was hard and intense, so passionate for a second you thought you were kissing somebody else. You kissed him back, just as flustered as he had been when you first met him.
He pulled back with his eyebrows raised, watching as you appeared speechless. Heat spread to your cheeks as he smirked at your expression.
“I get what you mean now-” Jisung chuckled before pulling away completely. Only to be stopped by your grip on the end of his shirt, “About your thing with making me all flustered.”
“And where did you learn to kiss like that?” Your head cocked to the left, imploring him with narrowed eyes. Banter, if you will.
Jisung’s lip tilted upwards again, eyeing the jealousy that stormed around you both with butterflies flying about in his stomach, “I wonder who.”
He kisses you again, and it takes all of you not to raise your leg up like a little anime girl.
“JISUNG,” A loud impatient yell shouts across the courtyard, and Jisung curses out his apologies as he twists away from you to join the squad of his friends waiting at the gate. They grit out a small smile, not as wide as it had been but familiar.
You did remember Jisung had said something about an event… Some type of graduation thing? But you thought he had time to kill when he was giggling about nothing with you.
Now, when you say his friends liked you. Now you weren’t too sure. Something had drifted between that time and now. The air had gotten colder, more distant. Between him, you and them. He spent more time with you, confessing that he had fought with the rest of his friends. Too often in recent times.
Some didn’t hide their expressions when you came around during what you learnt was their time together. You weren’t a welcomed guest anymore. You were an intruder.
“Bruh, they hate you.” Yves commented into her burger, wolfing it down with sounds that aren’t appropriate, “Well…not everyone does. Chenle and Ningning for sure. Sunghoon couldn’t care less.”
“Oh,” You murmur, displeased with the idea of being hated by genuinely good people. Genuinely good people to your boyfriend too. Who was the epitome of good.
“Babe,” Yves made eye contact with you, “He doesn’t spend time with them anymore. It’s all about you.”
The distraught written so cleanly on your face and Yves felt the intrusive urge to wrap you up in a blanket burrito and keep you  from everything.
“Now- don’t do anything dr-”
But you’re gone before she can get another word of wisdom out. She sighs and her head falls forward in despair and irritation.

Gif is not mine. Gowon looks so pretty in it 🥹.
Expect mistakes, happy reading!
Another night, another club you visited. Ever since your break up with Gowon two weeks ago, going out with your friends was now a routine to you, drowning your sorrows in alcohol was your new hobby, and the next day you’d regret everything you did just to do it again the next night you hear one of her songs. Her calls didn’t help you at all. Every night she’d call you and leave a voice message, you haven’t heard any of them but you were always tempted to. Maybe breaking up was not the hardest part after all.
You thought kissing someone else was going to help you, well you thought wrong. When you were sitting at the bar a girl came a little too close to you, she started touching your arm not so subtly and you just let her be, in no time her lips were in yours. The kiss was rough and fast, not like when you kissed Chaewon for the first time, gentle and slow, and even if her lips were soft, they were not as smooth as the ones of the black-haired girl in your mind. The hands of the woman went to your waist and that’s when you realized it was not going to work, those were not Chaewon’s hands. That made you start thinking (you seemed to do that a lot lately), were you going to find someone to kiss again?
When you arrive at your house, the first thing you did was take a shower just to get rid of the lavender perfume in your shirt, vanilla is definitely better. After your long shower, you got changed in your pajamas and looked at your phone, you were surprised when you didn’t have any missed calls from your ex, maybe she is still working, I’ll check later you thought.
You went to the living room and turned your tv on opening youtube. The first suggested video was one of her group songs you wanted to click on it just to see her again, but restrained yourself (a/n: boycott or else 😤) it was not going to help you get over her, it didn’t help your thoughts either. How are you Chaewon? Are you eating well? Are you feeling good or are you just as miserable as I am? Maybe I shouldn’t have ended things, maybe we could’ve worked it out. What if you were the one and I ruined everything? Why haven’t you called yet? I know I don’t answer but it doesn’t mean you need to stop. Should I talk to you? Do you want me to talk to you? I mean you call me every night so that might be a sign. But I don’t want to be disappointed again.
Your phone ringing interrupted your questioning, you ran to your bedroom hoping she was calling but the moment you saw the contact name you sighed. “Hello,” you said answering the call “I’m fine,” you told the person on the line “I already ate.”
“How did you know I was going to ask that?”
You rolled your eyes “Is the only thing you ask lately, mom. And about Chaewon.”
“Well, I’m worried for you! And I still don’t know what happened between the two of you” she said expecting to finally get an answer but you stayed silent “I want to help you Y/N” you still didn’t budge and she sighed knowing you were not going to say anything about it “Well…are you still coming to the family dinner on Saturday?”
“Yes, I’ll be there.” the conversation had just started and you already felt overwhelmed “I’ll go to sleep now, it is 1 am.”
“Ok, I love you.”
“Love you too.”
Before you got into the covers you saw your cat lying next to a pink sweater, you frowned I don’t own any pink stuff. You walked and grabbed the clothing from the floor, and when you looked at it you recognized it immediately. Gowon use to wear it all the time, she must have left it the last time she stayed the night…you really need to clean your room. “Why are you not calling?” you whispered throwing the pink item under your bed. Did you give up on me like I did with our relationship? Did you find someone else already? Were you really the one? I mean my mom loved liked you and she doesn’t like anyone. Should I call you this time? Maybe you are waiting for me to call.
You unlocked your phone, your thumb hovering over her contact name. Fuck it. You pressed the call button regretting it almost instantly, before you could hang up she answered the call
“Hello?” she said, you could hear the confusion in her voice “Y/N?” There were so many things you wanted to say, to ask, but you couldn’t open your mouth “Are you there?” you wanted answers to all the questions that had been plagging your mind, but what would happen if you got back together? You were 98% sure it’d happen the same thing that happen before. Missed dates, missed birthdays, miscommunication and stupid fights, you didn’t want that. Calling her was a mistake
“I shouldn’t have called, I’m sorry” You hung up the phone before she could say anything else. Your unanswered questions will stay unanswered, but that was better than another heartbreak…right?

I saw my girls last night and it was soo fun😭😭
They were soooo pretty and exactly what I expected
Yeojin was so small but so cute and funny
Gowon actually talked the most and led a lot of the talk portions
They said vivi looked like one piece chopper with her hat ctfu
The theater wasn't full but it filled up pretty well?? There were open seats here and there but it felt good, the energy of the crowd was rly good, gowon said we cheered the loudest 😏
I already knew they were only performing the mini album so I couldnt be disappointed. They filled up the rest of the time with like different talking segments. It felt like a comeback showcase and not a concert for sure
When they talked about album prep, yeojin talked about how she didn't like to eat while recording and the ppl were NOT happy, she kept telling us to wait to hear the full story first
I loveddddd the segment where they showed pics they took while in the area. You mean to tell me they were just walking around the pier and aquarium and shit and I could've seen them out in the streets?! Hyeju went to the store and went oh yeah I need a pic and snapped a selfie in the parking lot and yeojin snuck onto a private dock to take pics with sea lions and vivi had a pic at some barbie store and kept saying hi barbie
Almost cried during the random dance segment when they did why not and so what 😭 like the crowd was SCREAMING
The songs and choreos (for the songs that had one) were amazing, but the audacity to tour with 6 songs and to still save one of them for an encore?? They should've thrown in their predebut solos or a cover or two or like anything
All in all a super fun night and I love my girls 🥹 I'm so glad their tour has been going smoothly and they've been having fun. Obviously the thing with the short set list was a bit of a negative but they made the most of it, but that naturally won't be a problem for any future tours

There’s a popular saying that you find love when you least expect it.
For some, it’s about timing. What may not work out now can in the future. For others - it’s finding the courage to tell the other person how you feel. Perhaps it may also be the person was right next to you all along; just waiting patiently. Whatever the case, the roads to one another will be connected so long as both people are willing to meet halfway.
--
The new school year is always an exciting time. New classes. Teachers. Classmates. Getting to wear a freshly ironed uniform after having had a restless night due to excitement. A blonde haired girl walks down a heavily populated hallway. The sounds of students greeting each other after an extended summer break. Girls chattering away about the concert they went to or the latest gossip about who is dating who. Others run down the hallway as one student throws a crumpled up piece of paper and attempts to make a fadeaway, failing miserably and earning laughter from his friends nearby and especially the person recording with his phone. She walks past several classrooms with a piece of paper in hand before finally stopping in front of a row of lockers. Looking down, she finds the locker assigned to her as well as the combination to open it. Turning the metallic dial left, right and counterclockwise left once more, the locker door unlocks.
She places her notebook and several textbooks inside the locker, letting out a sigh of a relief as the weight has been removed from her backpack. Taking a sticker from the inside pocket of the notebook, she puts it on the door of the locker. The bell above the locker area suddenly rings, startling her. It was now time for homeroom class. Having barely closed her locker, she is almost blown away by a sudden gust of wind as various students run through the hall and try to find their homeroom.
--
“Listen up everyone, we have a new student joining us. Introduce yourself.” the homeroom teacher said, staring at you. You approached the front of the classroom with heavy steps and slumped shoulders. All eyes were on you which simultaneously caused you to close yours. Some watching intently, others having facial expressions unable to be read. Breathing deeply, you opened your eyes and addressed everyone.
“Hello, I just moved here yesterday.”
“That’s it?” the teacher asked. You nodded, not wanting to say anything else.
“Well, okay then. It seems our class is pretty full.. Do we have any open seats?” She scanned the room. Most were already taken. As her eyes reach the final two rows near the windows, she finds an opening at the very back of the room.
“Ah, you can sit there.” she said, pointing to a seat next to a girl who was the only person to not look at you.
“Park Chaewon, raise your hand.”
You noticed a small hand being raised as the blonde girl who it belonged to refused to look you in the eye. With the teacher motioning you to your newly assigned seat, you heard the murmurs of students after each step you took. Most were girls giggling and having genuine interest in the new person in their class, while others looked like they could burn your skin from their intense stares.
“Good luck.” one student said to you as you approached the back of the classroom.
Removing your backpack and placing the straps on either side of the backrest, you looked to your right and saw the girl known as Chaewon. Your first impression of her was that she possessed an intimidating aura, seemingly not wanting to be bothered by anyone else in the classroom. Her large, round eyes remained focused at the whiteboard in front. Catching yourself staring at her for a bit too long, you were slightly concerned as she still had not blinked once. She was diligent, taking notes earnestly using a cute pink mechanical pencil with a bunny design on it. Her side profile was further enhanced by the sunlight coming from the windows next to you.
--
Lunchtime was something Park Chaewon looked forward to. Besides replenishing her energy and filling up her stomach, it provided relief from the awkward looks and gossip of other students. She was a loner at school by choice. Many referred to Chaewon as the blonde ice princess - mainly due to her cold expressions and staring at people eye to eye.
Today was a special day at the cafeteria: bulgogi, rice and various other side dishes. Despite having many desserts and pastries to offer most students sought out one - the coveted pillowy soft bread filled with chocolate hazelnut spread. Only offered twice a month, it is always made in limited quantities; no more than ten at a time.
Chaewon had the unfortunate misfortune of missing out on the delicious bread as something always prevented her from seizing one: whether it be a teacher in the hall stopping her to discuss how she felt about the latest test to being bumped by students running by and dropping all of her things. Just a few weeks ago, Chaewon was late to the cafeteria due to having to retake a missed exam.
But this time was different. She calculated down to the second all the events leading up to lunch. For two weeks, Chaewon made sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep, do homework in the library or immediately when she got home. She studied the material right after class ended in order to ensure it was drilled into her mind. Being an introvert and considered “antisocial” and “uncool” by the other students meant she didn’t have to worry about offending anyone’s feelings or waiting up for them. The restless tapping of her foot increased in volume and speed with each passing second in the classroom. She kept a hand clutching her stomach, hoping it would not make loud noises of hunger like it usually did at home. A slight sweat formed on her body as the teacher’s lecture about the different types of Japanese architecture fell on deaf ears.
“... and that is why the legendary Pokemon known as Ho-Oh left Ecruteak City and the Bell Tower after the Brass Tower was burned down. Make sure to do your assigned homework.”
The moment the teacher left the room, Chaewon ran out of the classroom’s back entrance. Taking a look at her wristwatch, her eyes watched the number of seconds constantly cycle through as she timed the distance between where she currently was and the cafeteria. Stepping out of the way of two students helping another gather their belongings and almost running into another student who emerged from a blind spot to the left of her, Chaewon continued running down the hall and each step of the staircase. Placing her hands on her knees, she was mere feet from the entrance to the cafeteria. Gathering the last bit of energy she could muster, she quickly walked inside.
Getting a tray, she grabbed a pair of chopsticks and a spoon. Thankfully with no one nearby, they weren’t able to hear her stomach growled in hunger. She took the metal container of rice and a large amount of bulgogi in stride. Continuing on with the radish soup and a small amount of seaweed and kimchi, it was now time for Chaewon to arrive at the final area before the cashier. With her eyes scanning all the delicious smelling baked goods, she found what she was finally looking for.
Only to find out the last one was just sold to the person in front of her. With a heavy heart, Chaewon sighed deeply and grabbed a similar looking bread filled with vanilla cream and placed it on her tray. After paying for her meal, she found a completely empty table on the corner most part of the cafeteria. Placing her tray down, she tosses the bulgogi around with her chopsticks before eating a spoonful of rice. She tried her best to not be discouraged, reassuring herself that at least there would be something to look forward to two weeks from now. As her eyes wandered and looked at other students laughing and having a good time with friends, she can’t help but feel sad at seeing the chocolate filled bread. Chaewon being deep in thought meant she wasn’t able to hear someone place their tray next to her. She looked down at her meal until her view was replaced with a still packaged bread. With her eyes widening slightly, she turned to her right and saw you extending out your arm. You nudge your hand holding the bread towards her once more, telling her to take it. Despite her hesitance, the excitement and slight amount of drool coming out of Chaewon’s mouth has reassured you that the right choice was made giving up the still warm pastry.
The two of you make eye contact and you give her a small, comforting smile. This causes her to smile back in return and gently take the bread. You and Chaewon eat in silence - with the occasional eye contact and smiles continuing to be exchanged.
--
You and Park Chaewon quickly became friends - a fact that neither of you knew was that you were now each other’s first friend. The two of you talking to each other earned a lot of stolen glances and whispers amongst classmates, but that too subsided over time. It became commonplace for the two of you to share meals together during school and after studying at the nearby food stands outside the front gates.
You helped bring the best out in each other: you learned the importance of being patient and to not let your emotions get the better of you. Chaewon gained self-confidence to stand up for herself and to properly voice her concerns should they arise. Both of you became well known in your classroom and the neighboring ones; mainly due to the occasional people who tried to bully or tease her soon learning why they shouldn’t mess with her - or anyone else for that matter. Chaewon gradually was able to overcome her shyness and make more friends, expanding both of your social outreach in the school.
Just as quickly as the school year began, it ended. For the most part it was largely uneventful. Except for the one older student who was able to go home early when he was chased by a swarm of angry bees which caused him to jump into the fountain in the middle of the campus courtyard. You and Chaewon continued to grow close as friends, becoming almost as inseparable as Ash and Pikachu.
Summer was a different story. You weren’t able to see Chaewon much due to a rather long family vacation that included a month overseas. While you were disappointed, Chaewon was even moreso. She didn’t tell you, but she spent the first week of summer break planning out a list of places and things to do with you.
“Hey I’m sorry Gwonnie, this came so unexpectedly. They never want to go anywhere, but I guess there’s a first time for everything. With how things are looking, I probably won’t be back until about a week before the new school year begins.” you said during a phone conversation with Chaewon.
“Oh no it’s fine…” Chaewon replied, trying and being unsuccessful with hiding the sadness in her voice. You didn’t want to disappoint her - she had spent the last few months excited about summer vacation and would ask you questions about your interests and what you would be willing to try.
“I’ll make sure to bring back some snacks and other souvenir goodies. How does that sound, best friend?”
The two of you warmed up to calling each other that - something Chaewon took very seriously. She brought up the term when you were both at a bubble tea cafe stating she never had a friend she could open up to and be herself. Until now.
“Tch, yeah okay.” she replied nonchalantly. “... and maybe some bread?”
--
The sounds of the opening bell and students running across the grassy football field and outside area signifies the beginning of another school year. Park Chaewon held onto the straps of her new mint green colored backpack, happily humming along to the song her headphones were currently playing. Being an upperclassman meant she finally got her own locker - something she has been looking forward to since she woke up. Removing one of the earbuds, she was able to hear what a few passing students were saying.
“Did you hear? She’s going to confess to the handsome oppa.”
“No way, are you serious? Let’s go check it out!”
Tilting her head in confusion, Chaewon shrugged her shoulders and continued walking down the long hallway. Distracted by the thought of something else, she passed by a small gathering of people without so much as a glance.
Various clusters of students watched as two people stood near the steps and between two rows of lockers. The familiar sounds of murmurs, whispers and a few students taking out their phones to record what was happening added to the anticipation. The girl shyly moved her foot back and forth as she looked down, unable to make eye contact with the person she was standing across from. With her left hand appearing to hold something behind her back, she used her right to tuck several bangs behind her ear. She was able to use that to muster up the courage and tilt her head up.
She is the epitome of a beautiful person: long luscious brown hair, bright big eyes, fair skin that almost represented the color of a block of tofu, and proportions that would make even a supermodel envious. Her nametag rested neatly above her coat’s pocket. Word spread quickly of the new junior’s beauty - with many waiting outside her classroom holding notes and various gifts. It was then known that she rejected them all kindly. At least, that’s what the rumor mill around the school said. So it comes as a surprise that she suddenly showed interest in someone, an upperclassman at that.
“I… I’ve liked you for a long time now, oppa.” she timidly said, presenting what she was holding behind her - a bouquet of red and white roses. Her cheeks blushed as she gathered up confidence and continued. “Will you go out with me?”
Her sudden confession earned cheers and applause from the audience. Several commented on how they didn’t expect her to be so bold on the first day of the school year. Some of the people who tried asking her out looked away in disappointment. But eventually all eyes were on you, awaiting your response.
Looking around - being the center of attention was something you actively tried to avoid. Your brain began processing the new information you were given and actively trying to find the best outcome to get yourself out of the current situation. You’d like to imagine that inside your mind were miniature versions of yourself working on a desk, stacks of paper on either side of your computer as you were busily typing away. Another version of yourself wearing a golf visor suddenly approaches.
“Just got an order from the boss. Dump everything that isn’t about how to reject someone!”
“Everything?” you asked yourself in confusion.
“Everything! Come on, let’s move it!”
With your visor self putting his hands on his hips, the entire department is thrown into chaos as the regular employee versions of yourself begin to run around frantically. Announcements of asking where the nearest shredder is could be heard as you held a giant stack of papers and began to run it through. Papers labeled as spice garden tips, top 5 bubble tea flavors, and what bread Park Chaewon liked were seen being destroyed.
“Come on, let’s get moving!” Visor you yelled as he approached another version of you who was standing in front of an open cabinet. “Hurry up, what do you think I’m paying you for?”
“You don’t pay me. We don’t even exist. We’re just a clever visual metaphor used to personify the abstract concept of thought.”
“One more crack like that and you’re out of here!” Visor you said as his momentary surprise turned into a frown of disappointment.
“No, please! I have three kids!” you begged.
A trashcan is then filled with a box labeled math while yet another version of you is shoveling piles of paper on the ground into an industrial furnace. You were slightly squeamish watching paper being slowly flushed down the toilet. The once well-oiled machine of your mind became a chaotic office full of flying paper and employees losing their sanity. Having the appearance of nothingness in your eyes and with your mouth slightly open, the girl brings you back to your senses.
“Well oppa, how do you feel?” she asked.
Thankfully for your mental well-being, your knight in shining armor appears in the form of a girl carrying a guitar with one strap and a chocolate-dipped peppero in another. Closing the locker door, she gathers the attention of you both.
“Wow, you’re outright flirting with him.”
“What?”
Using the peppero as a pointer she continued. “You’re wearing makeup even though it’s against school rules to do so. Your eyeliner isn’t even winged properly. Your hair is dyed which is again, also against the rules. You got him a bouquet of roses without even taking into consideration if he is allergic to them or not. And finally you’re wearing mint green colored socks. I just felt like bringing that up because I hate the color mint green.”
“Son Hyejoo…” the girl said, squinting as she reads the name tag. “Aren’t you from class 2? You guys are from game development so you wouldn’t understand how to have any social or relationship skills.” she smugly replied.
Hyejoo took the peppero out of her mouth and kept her neutral, slightly intimidating look. “What does being in game development have to do with social skills? Would you even approach him if he was just a normal guy?”
The girl smiled while grimacing and ignored her, looking at you instead. “So oppa, what do you say? Will you go out with me?”
“I thought about it and I don’t think I’ll have time to date you.” you said, putting your arm around Hyejoo’s shoulder. Hyejoo cheekily smiled as she twisted her lips to the right side of her face. “I’ll be busy with Hyejoo.”
The two of you looked at each other and smiled.
“I just look at her face and time flies.”
“Not in front of her.” Hyejoo pretends to be embarrassed and hits your shoulder slightly. You wrap your arm around her back and bring her closer to you. At this point, both of your faces are mere centimeters apart. Hyejoo becomes more bold and continues to lessen the distance until both of your noses are touching. She tilts her head and looks at the girl once more.
“What’s wrong?” she asked. “Do you want to watch us kiss?”
“Don’t mind her. Just focus on me.” you said, tucking strands of hair behind her ear. The two of you tilt your faces and are about to kiss as you hear the girl scoff and turn away. Both of you see her walking away before turning back once more and letting out another sigh of disapproval. With her leaving meant the crowd of people began to disperse - some disappointed she was rejected and many wondering who the person named Son Hyejoo is.
Once everyone was gone, Hyejoo hit your chest and pushed you away from her while you began to laugh. “Did you see that? I told you she was jealous. She only liked you because it would increase her popularity! That’s so gross.”
“Thanks for saving me though, I really appreciate it.” you said to Hyejoo, pinching her cheek. This causes her to rub the newly sensitive area before she crosses her arms.
“What are you going to do about all her fanboys coming after you?” Hyejoo asked. The thought never occurred to you that she was the most popular girl at school. Whether you accepted or rejected her confession, there was bound to be trouble headed your way. You weren’t given very long to ponder as you noticed someone walking through the now empty area.
“Park Chaewon!”
She turned her head and removed her left earbud. Chaewon was excited to finally see you after being apart the entire summer. Tossing and turning the entire night due to excitement, she began to approach you but stopped when she noticed Hyejoo standing next to you. The intimidating and chic aura she exuded could be felt as Chaewon rubbed her arms and shuddered. This was further supported by her being a few inches taller and the way the sunlight from the windows shined on her hair and created a ray of light surrounding Hyejoo.
“H-Hey.”
“How’s my best friend doing? Sorry I wasn’t able to hang out with you all summer. I promise I’ll make up for it starting today.” you said, bringing her in for a hug. Chaewon is caught off guard when her face suddenly meets your chest. She discreetly inhales your scent - lavender with a hint of jasmine. Not expecting feminine aromas to be lingering on you, Chaewon grabs onto your coat and releases what you could only describe as the cutest sneeze you have ever heard. Despite Hyejoo’s facial expression looking the same, you were certain she was surprised at what just happened. You laughed and patted Chaewon on her back.
“Oh by the way, I forgot to introduce you two. Chaewon, this is Son Hyejoo. A family friend and someone who has a very big staring problem.”
“I do not.” Hyejoo said, hitting your arm. “It’s nice to meet you. Oppa’s told me all about you, unnie.”
“Unnie?” Chaewon said, looking at you.
“Did I not mention that? Yeah, Hyejoo’s younger than you by a year.” you said, fixing Chaewon’s ribbon and straightening out her jacket. Satisfied with your work, you reach into your pocket and take out a hairpin before putting it on the side of her head.
“Hyejoo and I were planning on hanging out and playing video games after school. Do you want to join us?”
“Y-Yeah, sure.” Chaewon quietly replied.
“Great! We’ll all meet at the statue outside the front gate. See you at lunch, best friend.” you said to Chaewon before putting your arm around Hyejoo’s shoulders. You raised your hand and flashed a peace sign, showing a homemade bracelet on your wrist. Chaewon looked down at a similar one of her own - the two of you having made it in art class with your initials and the date you first met. She wasn’t sure how she felt other than disappointed seeing you be close with someone else. Chaewon continued to look on as you and Hyejoo walked away; able to faintly hear you asking Hyejoo what she wanted for lunch and her nudging your ribs with her elbow as she unsuccessfully tried to remove herself from your embrace while the two of you started laughing until you were no longer audible.
--
The walk from school to your house was awkward to say the least. Chaewon had her head down the entire time and simply responded with a few words whenever you tried beginning a conversation. Hyejoo on the other hand stared at Chaewon’s backpack the entire time - the only reason it being a mint green color. She has been very outspoken about her strong dislike for bubble tea and mint chocolate.
Entering the passcode triggers a catchy jingle, signaling the door being unlocked. As the three of you remove your shoes, you are the first to step foot inside the apartment. You place your backpack on a chair before turning around and see Chaewon appear uneasy.
“My parents are always busy working so I have the whole place to myself. Make yourselves at home.”
Chaewon looks at Hyejoo who quickly went to the kitchen before timidly taking her first steps - Hyejoo was a curious individual; scanning the entire inside of your refrigerator with a 360-like view while Chaewon bowed and apologized for intruding, despite no one else being home. The apartment was sleek and modern due to having been recently built. Your parents liked to consider themselves in the upper middle class of the income spectrum. While their principles were built upon the motto that hard work and being humble are essential to a successful person - it’s also nice to treat yourself once in a while.
“Seriously, you guys are out of banana milk?” Hyejoo asked you as she closed the refrigerator door shut and carried a bowl of cut up watermelon to the sofa.
“How could we not be when you drink two almost everyday. You really should cut down on it.” You said, sitting next to her and stealing a piece that was pierced with her fork. Hyejoo shot you a death glare while you smirked and pretended not to acknowledge her.
“It seems like you know your way around here.” Chaewon quietly said to Hyejoo.
“She lives next door so she’s been here everyday. Like a sister I never asked for.” you replied, rolling your eyes as you were met with a punch to the shoulder by Hyejoo.
“Are we going to keep talking or are we going to finally play some games?” Hyejoo asked as she held a controller. You grabbed the remote and instantly changed the television settings, all the while looking at her.
“Prepare to be destroyed, Son Hyejoo.”
You gave Chaewon a controller of her own before powering up the gaming console. It was white in design with a gray base on the bottom. The familiar light blue elongated oval began to glow as Hyejoo went through a cabinet and found the perfect game for you all to play.
“What did you choose?” you asked.
“Mario Kart. Didn’t really feel like playing Smash or Battle Revolution.”
“Are you sure? You always lost at the last leg of the course.”
Hyejoo looked at you as if you insulted her entire family lineage. Furrowing her eyebrows, she pouted before composing herself and stuck her tongue out slightly as her expression changed.
“I will defeat you and shred your cart all the way down to its last atom.”
While the two of you were going back and forth over who was the better gamer, Chaewon remained quiet. She felt out of place - she considered you her best friend and yet it seemed you had better chemistry with someone she just met. She wasn’t sure what to do until your question shook her out of her thoughts.
“What character do you want to play, best friend?”
“A-Anything is fine.”
“You should be Toad then. I think it really suits you. What about you, Professor Watermelon?”
“I told you I hate that nickname.” Hyejoo said. “It’s almost as bad as when you call me Olivia Hye.”
“Why? I think it’s great! Did you know that Olivia is a common English name that has its origin from the 13th century meaning olive? You agree with me right, best friend?” you asked as both you and Hyejoo turned to Chaewon.
“I-I think calling her Hyejoo is fine.”
“Man, you guys are no fun. Olivia Hye would make a perfect stage name!”
“Enough. I want to play already. I choose Yoshi.” Hyejoo said.
“I choose Metal Mario. What map are we going on?”
“Coconut Mall is the best one.”
The game is getting ready to begin and all three of you are getting into position. As the timer counts down on screen, you wipe the sweat from your hands onto your pants in anticipation. Hyejoo wastes no time and takes an early lead when the announcer states you can go. She navigates the course with ease, choosing the upper elevator. You are in pursuit using several Boost Pads to gain speed. The two of you are constantly taking the lead over one another, something that frustrates Hyejoo as she bites down on the lower part of her tongue.
While Hyejoo is busy collecting coins and several more Boost Pads, Chaewon is having difficulty navigating through the course. Her character Toad is a cute humanoid mushroom with a white cap and red polka dots. Currently in 12th place, the odds of Chaewon winning seem grim. She is a full four seconds behind the two of you. The race continues on and a Hyejoo victory is all but inevitable. With the last leg of the race being in the parking lot mall, she continues her commanding lead. Seeing Chaewon not having fun, you toss your controller and take hers, startling her. You begin the ascent from last place, passing your own vehicle and all others as Chaewon looks at you before focusing her attention on the television screen. Hyejoo smirks before realizing you were helping Chaewon catch up. Fourth place became third and pretty soon it was back to where it started - you and Hyejoo neck and neck as the finish line was in sight.
“I’m sorry, oppa.” is all Hyejoo says to you before you see a bright yellow banana peel being thrown on the road. With the momentum being built up and rendering you unable to stop, you run over it, causing your cart to spin out of control and crash. Hyejoo cheers while you hang your head in disappointment. Chaewon comforts you, patting your back softly as you look to her and smile.
“You’re buying dinner.” Hyejoo teased as she stuck her tongue out at you. Glaring your eyes at her in unapproval, you raised your hands up and admitted defeat.
“You chose that map because you knew you’d win!” you protested as Hyejoo crossed her arms and smirked in satisfaction. You turned to Chaewon who was grabbing your controllers and organizing them into one neat pile.
“What do you want to eat?” you asked.
“I… actually have to get going.” Chaewon replied.
“Already? But it’s a Friday night, there’s no school tomorrow.”
“I told my mom I would be home early. Thanks for having me over. I’ll see you guys tomorrow.”
“Wait, hold up. Let me get my jacket really quick and then I’ll walk you home.”
“No, it’s fine. I can get home by myself.” Chaewon quickly said as put on her shoes and bowed to you and Hyejoo before leaving.
“O-Okay.” you softly said as the tone of the door being locked rang through the apartment. You looked to Hyejoo who was busy scrolling through her phone.
“She’ll be okay, right?” you asked.
“She’ll be fine. She’s a big girl, she can take care of herself. What do you want to eat? I’m in the mood for some grilled bbq and kimchi, yum.” Hyejoo said, her eyes remaining glued to the phone screen.
“Seriously? When aren’t you hungry? Just get me whatever you’re having.”
Still worried about Chaewon, you pondered calling her and staying on the line until she got home. Your phone then started ringing.
“Hey, are you home already? That was quick.” you cheerfully said.
“O-Oppa…”
“Chaewon, what’s wrong?”
“C-Can you stay on the phone with me? I think someone’s following me.”
You quickly got up, startling Hyejoo. Your face became serious as you began to process what Chaewon was saying.
“Where are you?”
“I-I don’t know. There’s a-an alley and the light looks like it’s about to die out. Please hurry oppa, I’m really scared.”
“Just use your phone’s flashlight and talk to me like you’re talking to a parent. I’ll be there soon.”
You went to your room to put on a jacket and mask as Hyejoo peeked her head from above the sofa.
“Where are you going?”
“Watch the place while I’m gone. And order some extra food while you’re at it.” you said, stumbling as you struggled to put on your shoes and leave the apartment. Once out on the sidewalk, you looked everywhere frantically about where to begin looking for Chaewon.
“What route did you take from my place?”
“Yeah mom, we go down to Jeju every year. You like seeing the waterfall and cave, remember?”
South. With a clear direction in mind, you set off to find her. The early evening as some would call it meant a busy night scene. Restaurants open until the middle of the night, bright neon fluorescent signs that are like a signal to summon rowdy patrons to gather and exchange in alcohol and grilled meats. You passed by various couples enjoying a date or a group of friends looking to unwind after a stressful work week. Unsure of where to go next, you continued questioning Chaewon.
“What do you see near you?”
“Mom, do you remember when you got me those cute stickers from the vending machine and I used to put them on everything. Or how we used to buy Cheetos from the convenience store and walk home together? I miss those days.”
You were determined to find her, even if your legs gave out. Taking a sharp left turn and a subsequent right while almost getting hit by a car who honked their horn at you, you finally found her. Looking around nearby to find the suspicious person, there wasn’t anyone else in sight as you brought Chaewon into a hug. You took off your mask, watching as the chilly night air gave form to your heavy breathing. Chaewon’s eyes began to water as she started crying into your clothes. You brought her closer to you and gently stroked the back of her head.
“Shh, it’s okay. You’re safe now.”
The two of you help calm each other down before you release her from your embrace. Chaewon looks up and sees you smile before your expression changes.
“Why did you go home by yourself? I told you I’d walk you home!” you yelled, scaring her.
“Our places aren’t that far apart. I thought it would be fine.” she said quietly.
“Next time, Hyejoo or I are going to walk you home and that’s that.” you said, crossing your arms and regaining your composure.
“Why? You spent the entire day talking to Hyejoo more than me.”
“Why? Because I care about you, that’s why!”
--
8:02 AM. It’s a morning unlike any other as Detective-in-training Park Chaewon takes her seat in the briefing room. Having spent three years as a beat cop, she was excited to finally get hands on experience and advance up the promotional ladder.
“Happy Tactical Village Day!” a woman said to each person in the room, high fiving them in the process. She was extremely bright and cheerful, possessing a smile that could melt away anyone’s troubles. She turned to Chaewon and raised her hand, earning a soft hi-touch in response.
“Jung Jinsol, I’m surprised to see you so excited about departmentally mandated training exercises.” Captain Jo Haseul said, simultaneously addressing the woman along with the rest of the people in the briefing room.
“It’s the most fun day of the year!” Jinsol said, beaming. “Something you wouldn’t understand because you’re not programmed to feel joy.”
“Yes… But, my software is due for an exuberance upgrade.”
Jinsol folded her lips into her mouth and covered it with her hand. Others nearby tried their best to suppress their snickers as the captain continued.
“Pick a partner and stick with them. This is a team building exercise - I don’t mind you all having fun, but be responsible. Make sure to be on your best behavior and show everyone why Blockberry Precinct is the best precinct in our area. Dismissed.”
“Want to be partners?” Jinsol said, turning to Chaewon and batting her eyes repeatedly.
“I guess…” she replied. “But I too am due for an exuberance upgrade.”
--
One extremely long bus ride later, the squad arrived at the site of the training exercise. Various other precincts were also in attendance as Chaewon admired the building. It was rather dated and had seen better days, but she didn’t care. She was thankful to finally be given a chance to prove herself.
“I can’t wait for this to be over.” Jinsol whined.
“What? You were going on and on about how excited you were to be here. What happened?”
“I don’t actually look forward to being here. I enjoy getting the free souvenir bags and food they serve after. The meat melts in your mouth.” Jinsol explained as a small amount of drool began to seep out of the corner of her lips.
Shaking her head, Chaewon opened a duffel bag given to her by the event organizers and began going through the checklist to make sure everything was accounted for. As she fixes her safety glasses, she hears a familiar voice.
“Park Chaewon?”
It was a voice she knew all too well. But she didn’t want to believe it was real. Someone who was once an important part of her life. Sighing, she turned around - a slight hope that her premonition wouldn’t be true. But her instincts never failed her before, so why would they now.
“H-Hi, oppa.”
“It’s been a long time.” you cheerfully said as you awkwardly pulled her in for a hug. Chaewon raised her hands to reciprocate but stopped halfway. The two of you stayed like that for several seconds before separating.
“Hyejoo, you’re here too.” Chaewon said.
“You don’t sound excited to see me.” Hyejoo coolly replied before tilting her head sideways and also giving Chaewon a hug. This time, Chaewon really did not know what to do and repeated the same lifeless motion she did with you.
“Small world, I really didn’t expect to see you here.” you said.
“Me neither…” Chaewon said as her voice still remained at its extremely low volume.
“Happy Tactical Village Day!” Jinsol announced to you and Hyejoo, her warm and inviting smile breaking the tension.
“I’ve heard of you, Jung Jinsol right? The famous rookie who managed to talk down the Treble Clef robber by doing a duet and singing in the rain?” you said, extending out your hand to shake Jinsol’s, only to be met with her high fiving you.
“That’s me! He wanted to send a love letter to his dearly beloved by writing, err, more like carving musical notes onto his victims. I didn’t know other precincts knew about me!” She said excitedly.
“I guess you guys are competing in the tag team free for all? Good luck.” you said, focusing your attention back to Chaewon. Her eyes briefly met yours, causing her to look away. With a slight tint of red on her cheeks, she felt the temperature in the room drop slightly only to see Hyejoo pass by.
“ Son Hyejoo, wait up! I’ll see you guys out on the field!” you said, waving to Chaewon and Jinsol as you ran to catch up to your dark haired partner.
--
“Everyone, listen up. There are ten hostages and thirty perps. Your mission is to safely rescue the hostages while eliminating the perps. Be careful as some of them could be disguised as civilians. The training exercise ends in two hours. Begin.”
Park Chaewon points her modified paintball gun at an empty room as her specialized glasses relay create a personal heads-up display displaying all of the information needed. She scanned the room for any clues but was disappointed to find out it was simply empty.
“Clear.” she relayed through an in-ear piece.
“I’m hungry. I knew we should’ve eaten more before this. I'm hungry, don’t want to gain weight.” Jinsol whined as Chaewon slowly walked through a hallway and entered another room.
“Seriously, unnie? It hasn’t even been thirty minutes since we last ate.”
“You call three pieces of carrot and some cashews eating? I can’t believe it took you twenty minutes to eat those by the way.”
“Focus. Is there anything on your end?”
“No, room two is clear also. What do you think about getting crepes?”
“You talk about not wanting to gain weight but want to eat crepes?” Chaewon asked.
“But have you tried Nutella crepes with banana slices? They are to die for.”
“I’m not going to cook them for you, unnie.” “I wasn’t expecting you to. Especially since the last time you were in the kitchen, the precinct almost got burnt down. I mean really, who puts a cake from the bakery with the metal tin still attached and reheats it for forty minutes? We had to air out every floor and it still wasn’t enough.”
“Not to mention the Captain calling me Chaewon Ramsay.” Chaewon whined.
“I remember that.” Jinsol said, laughing loudly into Chaewon’s ear, causing her to flinch. “You want to talk about where the lamb sauce is, it surely wasn’t in the Blockberry Precinct’s now defunct microwave.”
“One last room.” Chaewon replied, focusing her attention back onto the mission. “I’ll see you there.” Navigating through the almost endless hallway, Chaewon makes a left and looks up to see sets of stairs that could almost reach the sky. With a deep breath, she begins to climb. The first ten sets provided little difficulty, but as she continued on, Chaewon felt herself growing fatigued. The sign indicating what floor she was currently on began to increase in number. She was certain she climbed 99 floors - but in actuality it was probably twenty. Dragging herself up the final ten steps, she leaned against the wall only to see another pair of shoes standing next to her. Looking up she finds Jinsol, still possessing her patented warm smile.
“H-How did you get here…” Chaewon blurted out, swallowing her own saliva as she felt her mouth be dehydrated.
“You know there was an elevator, right?”
The two women point their guns in the air, looking at each other before entering the open final room. Their glasses showed no signs of life - but as the two go deeper inside, Chaewon finds the outline of a woman on the ground. Using two fingers, she looks to Jinsol and tells her for both of them to go straight ahead. Entering another room, they find Son Hyejoo on the ground with her hands tied behind her back and a bandana around her mouth.
Chaewon quickly rushes to her and helps her up while Jinsol removes the pieces of cloth. Hyejoo looks at her before pulling her in for a tight hug. Chaewon pats her back as the two embrace each other.
“Unnie’s here. It’s okay, Hyejoo.”
“Thank goodness you’re here. One of the civilians went off script and decided they wanted to be a perp.”
“Really? That’s pretty strange. I thought most of the people labeled as civilians don’t really care what role they got.” Jinsol said.
“I guess not.” Hyejoo replied. “I was trailing them but got caught here.”
“Let’s go find them then and win this thing.” Chaewon said, standing up and extending her hand out to help Hyejoo. As she is about to take it, someone else enters the room.
“Hey Hyejoo, why did you ask that guy if you two could trade-”
A whirl of blue paint passes by Chaewon followed by a grunt as she and Jinsol turn around to see you, having been shot by your own partner. You looked down at the giant blue stain on your vest as the pain began to gather at where you were targeted. With everyone still in a state of shock, Jinsol reaches for her gun but is shot too. Chaewon’s gun is still in her hand but knows she is unable to do anything.
“I’m sorry, unnie.” Son Hyejoo said as Chaewon herself is eliminated, thus ending the training exercise. It felt eerily similar to when the three of you played Mario Kart and Hyejoo betrayed you both. The same mischievousness seems to have not been lost with time.

After a fresh change of clothes, the four of you gathered outside the training facility. Chaewon was no longer a blonde, though a fair amount of it could still be seen through her now darker color. She wore a slightly see through black dress with various jewels that adorned it, showing the faintest amount of cleavage. It was a blend of tasteful and awe inspiring. Her grey colored contacts and bright red lipstick were the key points that stood out to you.
“You guys want to grab a drink? I know a pretty cozy spot nearby here.” you said to the group.
“I uh… just realized I can’t. I… gotta go meet my boyfriend.” Jinsol said, winking at Chaewon before bowing to you and Hyejoo. Chaewon tried preventing her from leaving but was unsuccessful at stopping her.
“What do you say? We’re one person down, but that doesn't mean we can’t catch up like old times.”
Chaewon looked at you both and smiled nervously.
--
The bar you brought up had seen better days. The decor was dated with wooden tables and various sized bar stools spread out. Various neon signs were burned out, with a sign that said ‘Quality Drinks Here’ having been reduced to ‘Quality Drinks Her’. Despite all this, it seemed to still have regular customers as well as a wall adorned with alcohol bottles.
“This place is such a dump, why did you choose it?” Hyejoo asked.
The reason why presented itself. An attractive woman tending the bar was always a sure fire way to get customers to come in, and you were no different. Her long light brown hair with blonde highlights ended past her stomach. Saying she was easy on the eyes was an understatement. The mole on her right cheek and near her left eye were accentuated by her winged eyeliner and pink eyeshadow. Her fair skin only helped in bringing out her beauty even more.
“Hey there.” she said, her deep voice unexpected compared to her appearance. “Haven’t seen you in awhile.”
“Work’s been keeping me busy. How are things?”
“Same old. Drunk old guys drinking away their problems and ignoring their wives calling them. Creeps trying to hit on me and ask for my number. So you know. The usual. I see you’ve brought company.” She said as she wiped down the counter and placed coasters in front of the three of you.
“Yeah. They’re old friends of mine. This is Park Chaewon.” you said, introducing her to your left. “While the creature on the right here is called Son Hyejoo.” This introduction earned you a punch to the arm from Hyejoo as the bartender laughed softly.
“You two are certainly pretty.” she said as she grabbed a few bottles from the wall to replace the ones in front of her. She then grabbed a packet of straws and placed them under her side of the bar.
“What can I get you guys tonight?”
“I’ll take a beer. Something smooth. And dark. What about you guys?”
As Chaewon pondered what to order, Hyejoo instantly knew what she wanted.
“I’ll take sex on the beach. Make it really dirty.”
“A fine choice. We don’t really get requests for that much.” the bartender said with a smile. “And for you?”
“A virgin Cuba libre…”
“I’m sorry, can you repeat that one more time? I couldn’t hear you.” she said, placing her index finger behind her ear and leaning closer.
“I wanted a virgin Cuba libre…”
“Isn’t that just a cup of cola with ice and a lemon wedge?” you asked.
“Nothing wrong with that at all.” the bartender said, scolding you. “Don’t mind him. Your drinks are coming right up.
The bartender quickly got to work, making a show of tossing bottles into the air and grabbing them successfully while pouring exact measurements into a metal container and making sure they were shaken, not stirred. She finished Hyejoo’s drink in record time, placing it on the coaster with a paper umbrella as a decoration. Reaching into the mini fridge behind her, she grabbed a dark amber colored bottle of beer and popped open the cap for you. With Chaewon’s drink, she placed a rocks glass on the coaster; using a pair of plastic tongs to put three ice cubes and adding the carbonated beverage. Slicing a lime wedge, she wiped the rim of the glass with it before squeezing several drops into the drink.
“Hope you all enjoy it.” she said before tending to other customers.
Hyejoo wafted the scent of her drink into her mouth before taking a sip. The liquid was slightly bitter, but not something she couldn’t handle. She bit on the lime wedge and puckered her lips.
“Not bad… I see why you come here. She’s cute.”
“That’s not the only reason why I come here, Hyejoo.”
“Why else would any other guy be here if there wasn’t a smoking hot bartender?”
“The quality of the drinks has improved ever since she started working.”
Hyejoo rolled her eyes as she removed the paper umbrella and continued to drink. You turned to Chaewon who swirled her drink around.
“How’s yours?” you asked.
“It’s fine.” she quietly replied.
“So, how have you been? Hyejoo and I lost contact with you after you dropped out a month before graduation.”
“I’ve been okay.. Hoping I finally get promoted to detective.” Chaewon said.
“I believe in you. You were always great at whatever you did.” you said, smiling softly at her. “And hey look at this.”
Chaewon turned her attention from her drink to you to see your wrist still adorning the bracelet the two of you made all those years ago. A sudden wave of emotions washed over her. She knew she had to excuse herself immediately.
“I… gotta go.” Chaewon said as she suddenly left the bar.
“You know she likes you, right?” Hyejoo said, getting your attention.
“What? Don’t be ridiculous.”
“I could see it in her eyes from the moment I met her. She’s liked you as more than just a friend. And you are too dense to admit the same.”
“I like Chaewon as a friend, Hyejoo.”
“Friends don’t make bracelets together with their initials and the date they met unless they’re girls or a couple. They certainly don’t drop everything and try to find someone in the middle of the night. Plus, while your actions make it seem like all your attention is on me, I know Chaewon is in your heart. The question is, are you going to stop lying to yourself and chase the one who got away?”
Your entire past with Chaewon is replayed in your mind as you think about her smile and the way she made you feel.
“I think I just figured something out. I gotta go.” you said to Hyejoo.
“Aren’t you forgetting something?”
“Uhh…” you looked around and approached Hyejoo slowly before kissing her forehead and exiting the bar.
“No… pay your bill! Who raised you?” she said to herself as she swirled her drink around and took another sip.
“Why didn’t you tell him how you feel?” the bartender suddenly asked as she approached Hyejoo.
“He only sees her. I missed my chance years ago.”
--
You stood outside the bar and found Chaewon sitting on a nearby bench. It was rather high, causing her feet to not touch the ground. She kicked the air repeatedly, unaware of your presence. You crossed your arms and admired her for a bit before sitting down.
“I’m not dating Hyejoo. I never did.”
“I didn’t say anything…” she said quietly.
“But you were thinking about it. Hyejoo’s just a close friend. Something you used to be as well.”
The two of you sat in silence and admired the night sky. Even through a busy metropolitan city, the stars were still able to be seen.
“I can’t live without you.”
Chaewon looked at you to see you still watching the stars, pointing at a few of them as you smiled.
“Without you, whether it be a month or a day, the time I spend becomes meaningless to me. This was the conclusion I came to when I saw you again at the training exercise today. I’m sure you don’t understand what I’m talking about, though…”
Chaewon continued to look at you, not saying anything. You were embarrassed at what you just said and began to look away. She however, held your face and stared into your eyes before bringing you closer to her and planting a tender kiss on the lips. You opened your eyes and saw the same smile she had when you shared the special bread with her in the cafeteria.
--
One quick taxi ride later, Chaewon was about to enter your apartment for the very first time. The two of you stumbled into your apartment, laughing the entire time. From an outsider point of view, they probably would’ve thought you were both drunk. And to an extent, they were right. You two were drunk off each other.
Only your coats made it onto the couch as a discarded pile of clothes traced your steps into the bedroom. She led you to your bed, with you reduced to only wearing your boxers. Chaewon looked nervous, something you picked up on right away.
“We don’t have to do this if you’re not comfortable with it.”
“N-No. I want this. I want you, oppa.”
Chaewon gave you a quick peck before sinking onto her knees in front of you. She was met with your boxers pitching a tent. Grabbing the top hem, she slowly pulled them down. Your cock throbbed once newly exposed to the cool air, almost hitting her in the face.
She looked at your cock curiously. You felt her slim fingers wrap themselves around your base into a fist. She gave a slightly firm squeeze, causing you to moan. She began with slow strokes, seemingly preparing you for what was to come. She noticed you beginning to leak, running her thumb through it and earning herself a breathless gasp from you in the process. She brought it close to her nose and sniffed it. You laughed as she continued. The juxtaposition of Chaewon’s large eyes and innocent features contrasting her sinful action was a sight to behold.
“I’ve never done this before, oppa. Is it supposed to take this long?”
“For what? For me to cum?” you asked. Chaewon nodded.
“I… actually released a load in the shower after the training exercise.” you embarrassingly admitted.
Chaewon nodded in genuine interest as she continued pumping your shaft in her small hand. You threw your head back in satisfaction as you weren’t aware you were using her fist as a sort of fleshlight. Her grip increased as she began to stroke you faster.
“M-Maybe you could put it in your mouth?” you asked, scared Chaewon would say no.
“I just… have never done it before.”
“That’s okay. I’ll help guide you. I guess you could start with licking the precum that’s leaking out.”
Chaewon did as she was told, flattening her tongue and swiping the colorless liquid from you. She repeated this several times, causing the head of your cock to be wet. You didn’t tell her, but she spit on your dick and began to spread it all over with her hand and also by puckering her lips. It surprised you that she knew how to do that for claiming to have never given a blowjob before. But then again, it wouldn’t be difficult to know given everything is one simple internet click away. Your cock was beginning to be covered in Chaewon’s saliva as she meticulously applied it all over.
“Maybe you could massage my balls too? They’re sensitive so you have to be really careful.”
With her right hand stroking and lathering you, her left fondled your balls. The stimulation from both of your hands felt amazing, it caused the baby hairs on your body to stand erect while sending electric jolts of pleasure to your spine.
Chaewon seemed to be getting the hang of things, but now was the real test. She gave the underside of your shaft one smooth continuous lick until she found her way to your tip. Wetting her own lips, she grabbed onto both of your thighs and finally took you inside your mouth. You held your breath as you felt her wrapping her lips around the tip of your cock. A moan of satisfaction was released as her soft lips began to work their magic.
While you were sure she was telling the truth about not having done it before, it seemed Chaewon had been practicing somehow as she was constantly trying to keep her teeth out of the way and hurting you.
“Fuck... princess, that feels so good…”
Chaewon began extending past your tip, adding an inch into her mouth as she hollowed her cheeks. Her soft lips felt like heaven as she slowly became a soft ball of hair taking more and more of your length. It was moot at this point to continue instructing her - Chaewon flattened her tongue again and you felt it coating the underside of your shaft, sending even more pleasure coursing through your body. You closed your eyes and savored the wonderful sounds of Chaewon slurping on your dick, thoroughly covering you in her saliva. You felt her nose reach your base a few times, with her releasing you from the warm confines of her mouth after she gagged and was unable to continue. Your cock glistened as a saliva bubble formed just below where the tip and shaft connected. Thin strands of saliva connected you and Chaewon together as she sliced through them and giggled.
“That was amazing.” you said. As much as you loved having her in between your legs, you were ready for the main event. You helped her off her knees and gently pushed her onto the bed.
It seemed the years were kind to Chaewon - she was the perfect mix of toned, while possessed a hint of curviness. Her thighs were deceptively thick; and soft to the touch as you spread them open. You began by feeling how smooth they were before planting several kisses on them. You made a trail that slowly ascended, doing so on both of them before kissing the inner creases of the apex of her thighs. She was already sensitive, her body reacting to every contact from your lips. Like you, Chaewon also began to leak out as you stuck your tongue out to consume it. The taste was like sweet nectar, something you were happy she was releasing for you.
“F-Fuck, that feels so good…”
It was the first time you heard Chaewon curse, and with what was next, you knew it was only the beginning. You parted her damp folds with your thumbs and lowered your head to begin exploring her moist cavern. Chaewon’s body bucked upwards from the pleasure as your tongue continued to excavate the sweet nectar she possessed. You gently bit on her clit, causing her to scream in arousal as her thighs wrapped themselves around your head and pushed you deeper.
Her eyes became half-lidded and consumed by desire as you continuously lapped up her juices while stimulating her folds.
“O-Oppa, keep going. Please… don’t stop!”
It was beginning to be a bit difficult to breathe, but you were happy knowing Chaewon was on the receiving end of pleasure. You traced two fingers against her inner folds before sinking them inside her. She was extremely tight - her walls immediately latching onto and squeezing you. Your thumb remained outside, rubbing her clit as you repeatedly moved your fingers in and out of her pussy. It didn’t take long for Chaewon to achieve her euphoric bliss.
“Oppa!” she screamed loudly as it finally arrived. Removing your fingers just in time, you parted your lips and stuck your tongue out as her hips frantically raised upwards while thighs squeezed your head even harder. You could feel her toes curl as Chaewon’s orgasm caused her entire body to react. Her sweet essence coated your mouth and cheeks as she drowned you in pleasure.
You tried your best to consume it all but it proved to be too much as Chaewon continuously released her lovely juices. Violent aftershocks continued on as you helped her begin to descend from her orgasmic high. You rubbed her sensitive clit and stimulated her until you could feel her thighs hold on your head begin to weaken.
“You did so well, princess.” you said, smiling. Her juices stained your lips and chin as you planted tender kisses in between her legs.
“I-I... fuck… intens- fuck…”
She was still drunk from the orgasm you gave her. You continued praising her and kissing her thighs as she gradually began to recover and return to normal. Once she does, you embrace her and place her sweat-kissed body on top of yours.
Chaewon ran her hands through your hair as your lips found their way to her nipples, gently sucking on them as she moaned out in pleasure. Your hands did not remain idle - roaming every inch of her skin until resting on her soft bottom.
“C-Can you fuck me now? Please, oppa?”
“How do you want it, princess?” you asked.
“Can… can I ride you?” she shyly asked.
“I’d love that.”
“Wait.” she said, kissing your lips as she got off you and went to her nightstand. You turned to your side and saw her rummaging inside a drawer looking for something. Most of its contents were various night creams and lip gloss, and what appeared to be a phallic-shaped device. You were about to ask if you could help when she closed it and held something behind her back.
“What is it?” you asked.
“Something for me, but also something for you.” she said, biting her lower lip seductively. She grabbed your wrists and wrapped a thin black lace material around them before tying them together. She repeated the process to your eyes. You didn’t expect this side of her, but then again, you didn’t expect to currently be in bed with her either.
“They say sensory deprivation provides an even better experience for both partners.” Chaewon said.
She rubbed her splayed lips against your length several times before reaching below herself and guiding you inside for the very first time. The two of you let out a loud sigh of relief as your tip parted her. She was warm, wet, and dangerously tight. Her body refused to let you go, sinking your cock deeper.
“Oh fuck…” she exhaled loudly as she firmly planted her hands on your chest. She raised her hips until only your tip was inside her before slamming herself back down. She did this several times to warm the both of you up. Eventually, she placed her hands on either side of your head as her lips met yours. The two of you explored each other’s mouths as your tongues danced an elegant tango. It was as if your cock explored a newer part of her pussy with each deep entrance.
Being unable to move your hands or see Chaewon heightened your other senses even more. You were able to feel how tight she was bouncing up and down on your cock. The sounds of her moans that were like music to your ears. The smell of sweat and sex releasing natural pheromones making you want this moment to never end. But as the tightness in your abdomen continued to grow, you knew it wouldn’t be possible.
She bounced herself softly up and down five more times until she felt you raise your hips to match hers. There was nothing else either of you could have done - it was inevitable. Your cock began to throb as a warning before you finally exploded inside her. You moaned in satisfaction as you released shot after shot of thick, hot semen into her waiting pussy. Chaewon’s walls clenched against your shaft, suffocating it, which only caused you to unload more.
Her lower body felt flushed as she could feel it beginning to leak out and stain her thighs. Both of you were exhausted, but fully satisfied. She gathered her remaining strength and raised her hips from yours, removing the blindfold and laced restraint on your wrists. The two of you savored the feeling of each inch being withdrawn from her slowly. As you both struggled to catch your breath, you held each other tightly as you poked her nose and kissed the top of her forehead. Chaewon traced her name on your chest and fixed your damp, out of place hair.
The plan was originally intended to be you and Chaewon taking a shower together and getting clean. Which the two of you managed to do until you didn’t. Due to the simple nature of being in the shower with a naked woman, your cock grew hard in her hand as she was cleaning you. Making sure to go to the area where the water wasn’t at, Chaewon lathered your cock in soapy suds while you used a loofah and did the same to her thighs. It seemed both of you were thinking the same thing as she turned around and faced away from you.
Grabbing onto her surprisingly wide hips, her thighs squeezed your pulsing shaft in between them. With both of you soaped up, there was minimal effort required as your cock slid through with relative ease. Your hands held onto her as you remained patient and were awarded with savoring the feeling of her heavenly soft thighs and how the top of your cock rubbed against the bottom of her pussy lips.
You kissed Chaewon’s beautiful shoulders and the back of her neck as you continued your suffocatingly slow thrusts. Her warm thighs continued to hug your cock until you erupted. Although it was much weaker and a smaller amount, it was no less pleasurable. You continued to fuck her thighs as she made sure to milk you for all you had left. Your initial two ropes of semen splattered on the glass door loudly. Gradually decreasing the already slow speed of your thrusts while riding out your orgasm, Chaewon softly rubbed her cute butt against your crotch until you stopped.
The two of you properly washed off this time before stepping out of the shower and wrapping yourselves together with one towel. You held Chaewon tightly as the two of you gave each other steamy kisses that mirrored the hot shower just now. Not even bothering to put on clothes, the two of you plopped onto the bed. With one final tender kiss, you savored being in each other’s embrace and quickly drifted off to sleep.
--
“... and that’s how oppa and I started off our morning.” Kim Jungeun could be heard saying.
Park Chaewon opened up her eyes, rubbing the sleep and exhaustion out of them. She blinked several times before her vision readjusted and was greeted with a disapproving frown from Jungeun.
“Seriously…” she complained. “You asked me to tell you why oppa and I were late and you fell asleep during my story.”
“I’m sorry.” Chaewon said. “Been having problems sleeping at home lately.”
“Is everything okay?”
“Yeah… just got a lot on my mind I guess.”
“Things will get better. They always do.”
“Thanks.”
The break room door opens and you enter, greeting Chaewon and Jungeun. You give Chaewon a fist bump before approaching Jungeun who puckers her lips, asking for a kiss. You smiled and honored her request. The loud smack of your lips connecting and disconnecting causes her to smirk in satisfaction.
“I thought you hated kissing at work?” you asked.
“How could I when your lips always taste so yummy… I mean, it’s not like I l-like you or anything. Pig.” Jungeun said, quickly switching from disgustingly sweet to the tsundere, chic woman she was well known as. This earned soft claps from Chaewon, causing Jungeun to groan.
“As expected of the supreme leader.”
The three of you were beginning to discuss where to go for lunch when the break room door is opened once again.
“Oppa. Lieutenant’s looking for you. Says she has some helpful information about a case you’re working on?”
“Got it. Thanks, Hyejoo. Guess we’ll have to take a raincheck on lunch together.” you said, getting up out of your seat. You waved to Chaewon who raised her eyebrows and smiled while kissing Jungeun’s forehead, who didn’t bother to get out of her seat and instead tilted her head up towards you. You flashed them both a peace sign.
“Wait, oppa. What is this?” Jungeun asked, grabbing your wrist which was adorned with a beaded bracelet.
“Oh this?” you said, holding it up. “I found it while cleaning through my things. Hadn’t worn it in years but decided today would be a good day to start. I’ll see you guys later.”
“I’ll call you.” you mouthed to Jungeun before exiting the break room with Hyejoo. Jungeun blushed and couldn’t contain her smile as she happily sipped on her iced americano. She turned to Chaewon who lost all color on her face.
“What’s wrong?” she asked.
“That bracelet…”

Uninterested
Request: Hey wassup may I request a Jinsoul x fem reader where the reader was super loving and caring in the relationship but they suddenly saw the "Let me introduce idols" ep 5 where Jinsoul said she likes someone who isn't really interested in her. This makes reader get hurt and act cold towards Jinsoul bc she's scared she'll leave her and Jinsoul gets confused. Angst and fluff please, thank you <3
Pairing: Jinsoul x Fem Reader
A/N I hope this is to your liking!
Tumblr media
"Sol!"
You come bounding into your girlfriend's arms the moment you see her and she receives you with even more excitement. The usual ritual that the two of you fall into without fail. The massive hug you share is only matched by the passion in the kisses you share when you get to see each other. She doesn't complain when you come crashing into her full force or when you dote on her 24/7. In fact, Jinsoul surprises herself sometimes with how much she loves being loved by you so hard. Not once has she ever had to question your love for her, because you show it in everything you do.
When you pull back, it's just enough to look into her eyes, chin on her chest, and a smile on your face. The other BBC staff brought the girls a little late so you and the rest of the makeup and hair staff have to move quicker than usual. Luckily for you, there were only 6 out of the twelve girls today. Unfortunately for you that also meant you needed to cover 3 different faces in less time than usual, but you're a pro so it's all good. Today you came up with a plan of action to move quicker, today you were in charge of the unnie line in age order while your colleague covered Heejin, Hyejoo, and Yeojin.
"Hey to you too." Her smile gives you warmth as you completely pull away. Now that your moment was over, you put on your game face and looked around until you spotted Kahei.
"See you later babe, duty calls." You give her a pack on the cheek before making your way to a clearly tired Kahei and gently guiding her to your chair.
"Why are you two so grossly adorable?" Jinsol turns her head to see Hyejoo looking mildly disgusted before Sooyoung puts her in a headlock from behind.
"Oh don't be such a love hater Hyejoo. They're just the right amount of cute." Heejin comments before sitting in the other makeup artist's chair.
"Yeah, don't be like that to your unnie." Jinsol squishes her cheeks when Sooyoung lets her go with a flourish of laughter.
"Seriously though you guys can be a little gross, I think it's cute." Sooyoung comments.
She watches Jinsol look over at you with adoration. In her mind, there was just no reason for you to be so perfect for her. She constantly finds things to love about you like right now. The concentration that takes over your face and the sweet smile she can catch you giving her members while you do your damndest to make them look even better for the cameras, consistently reminds her of how deeply she loves you.
"She has no business being that pretty," Jinsol grumbles under her breath, but Sooyoung definitely hears it. She nudges her friend fondly and just goes off into a different conversation.
Time actually seems to fly by as you finish up Kahei, then Sooyoung. You and your co-worker go pretty much at the same pace so when Jinsol finally sits in your chair, Yeojin sits in hers at the same time. You don't speak to her right away, you just give her a small peck on the lips before you get started. Jinsol looks up at you and pouts, trying to guilt you into another kiss.
"What's the face for?" You stand back, head tilted to the side.
"You call that a kiss?" She reaches for your hips to bring you down on her lap but you gently smack her hands away with a serious expression.
"You'll get kisses after work. Right now I have a job to do so be a good girl and hold still." You turn to start grabbing the products you use for her and Jinsol has to resist the urge to protest because she knows you're right.
The entire time you do her makeup Jinsol's eyes hardly ever leave your face. Periodically, she'll pucker her lips in hopes of you giving in but you don't pay her any mind. She doesn't try to speak because of the look in your eye when she tries to flirt with you while you're working. When you finally finish and start to pack up your things Jinsol stands and pulls you into her arms. You never mind when she wants to display her affection for you, but the moment she tries to lean in you aren't having it.
"Jung Jinsol!" She startles back and loosens her grip on you just enough for you to duck out of her arms and glare at her. She looks at you dumbfounded.
"If you mess up my hard work before you even get on set, I'm not kissing you at all."
Your threat shakes her up just enough to have her sputtering but she doesn't have time to properly respond before they are called in for their interview. They have another event with the full group after this is over so you pack up your bags except for your pouch for touch-ups. For now, you just have to watch backstage with the other staff before it's time to meet up at the next location.
For the most part, you just sat and relaxed. The atmosphere was pretty chill until Jinsol said something that hurt your feelings.
"I think I like people who are not interested in me," Heejin speaks up.
"Oh, that's right!" Jinsol nods along.
"It's a little much when someone expresses interest first." Heejin continues.
"Right." You're a little shocked to see Jinsol nodding and responding in agreeance.
You've never heard her even allude to being overwhelmed by you, yet right now you're overthinking every move you've ever made. Was she just pretending to like you back this whole time? Or if not, will she grow tired of you? You shift uncomfortably in your seat and nonchalantly glance around.
No one else seems to notice your discomfort so you just sit quietly until it's time to go. When the members make their way back, you're all packed up and ready to go. Jinsol comes to you immediately, lips puckered and hands around your waist. When she leans in, all she's gets is your cheek.
Jinsol steps back and looks at you sideways but you're too busy grabbing your things to look at her.
"Baby? What's wrong?" Your girlfriend begins to worry when you don't answer or look at her. Her mind races as you leave for the next location with the other makeup artist.
"Baby?" She practically whimpers at you but you're already out of earshot. She turns around to see the others looking at her concerned. You couldn't really be mad about earlier right? She was only playing around but what else could you possibly be upset with her about?
"Maybe she's just not feeling well?" Yeojin chimes.
"Maybe." Jinsol doesn't know what else to say.
-------------------
When they arrive, you're already working on Chaewon. You're usually in charge of yyxy for ot12 events so Sooyoung and Hyejoo agree to try and figure out what's wrong with you. Jinsol on the other hand can't help the little feeling of jealousy growing inside of her while you giggle quietly with Chaewon. You hadn't even glanced her way when she came in but you looked up and smiled at Sooyoung and Hyejoo.
Deciding she had some time to spare before it was her to have her makeup redone, Jinsol slides up to you and asks what's wrong directly in your ear. You jump in surprise and turn your head only to realize just how close she is to your face. Seconds feel like minutes when you see her looking at your lips, and you almost kiss her. But then you remember your fears from earlier.
"Nothing, I'm fine." With that you turn back to Gowon, leaving Jinsol to pout at your side.
She leaves you alone for the rest of the day and is even more disheartened when Sooyoung and Hyejoo come back with nothing but shrugging shoulders. The hope that you'll be back to normal tomorrow stays with her but a week later and she's still confused. You never want to kiss or cuddle and when she tries you just avoid her. As a matter of fact, it feels like you're avoiding her period and it's making her upset.
It weighs on her mind until she can't take it anymore. She misses you and wants to understand how you're feeling so she calls you with a serious tone in her voice. It's not a request but a demand that you be home when she arrives at your apartment, so you are.
When she crosses the threshold you make no moves of intimacy towards her like you usually do and she huffs with frustration.
"Do you want to break up?" It's not the speech she had practiced and planned, in fact, it breaks her heart to even say. Her voice cracks but it seems to snap you out of whatever you were under.
"What? No!" Panic sets in so deeply, you feel it in your bones.
"Then why are you acting so weird Y/n? You just seem so uninterested lately." She gets worried when she sees the tears building in your eyes and the sniffles you let out.
"But I thought that's what you wanted. You said you like people that aren't interested in you, so I thought you might be getting tired of me."
At first, she's confused. When had she ever said that? It's clear that she said it because you look so sad just thinking about it. Then she thinks back to the first day you began acting differently and things start clicking into place.
"I didn't mean anything by that! I was just agreeing with Heekie because I know that's how she feels." Jinsol begins slowly closing the rather large gap of space you put between you. She moves as calmly as possible to give you time to back up if you want to, but she's really not sure her heart could take that.
"I love you and how you treat me. You have no idea how good it makes me feel when you get excited to see me. I love that you always want to show me love just like I do for you."
As she speaks and walks your head hangs low while tears spill silently down your beautiful face. When she's so close that her feet are right in front of your, Jinsol wraps you in her arms. It takes you a moment to reciprocate but you do. The hug you give back is so tight that it lets your girlfriend know very clearly how much you missed her. You're so warm that it brings tears to her eyes and soon she's crying with you.
"Please don't do this again. I thought you fell out of love with me." Jinsol's words were followed up with a gut-wrenching sobbing sound that made your own tears fall that much faster.
"I won't. I'm sorry baby." You whisper to her.
You continue to hold each other until you have just enough strength to lay down together on your futon. Jinsol is usually the big spoon but it was clear she needed to be held, so that's what you did. Before either of you know it, you're both knocked out. You're only awakened hours later by the call from Loona for Sol to come back to the dorm.

Helloo, it's me again. Your writings are awesome and I jsut can't seem to get enough. Can I please request a scenario where Loona's Jinsoul has a crush on reader and during her rehearsal with her group, Loona members just literally exposes her.
Jinsoul x Reader
Big fat crush
It's been a little less than a month since you met Jinsoul. You met her thanks to mutual friends and since that day you've seen each other two or three times on casual hangouts already. She was a nice friend, always caring and kind, someone that actually listens when you talk; it was nice having her around.
Today she invited you at her rehearsal since it was your meeting day of the week. She had things to do but didn't want to give up your Thursday's encounters. So here you were arriving at the concert place in the middle of the afternoon, feeling a little nervous if you had to be honest.
Meeting the eleven members and close friends of Jinsoul was quite stressful but you weren't too worried, after all you could be pretty social when you had to.
Anyway you didn't expect her members to be that friendly. When you arrived you sent a text to Jinsoul asking her to come get you because you didn't want to face her members alone but they all came greeting you, eager to know you.
"Hey, Y/N how are you?"
You blinked a few times before answering to Haseul that you were fine, quite shocked that she knew your full name. Of course Jinsoul must have been talking to her members about you since they live together but you didn't expect them to remember or even pay attention to what she was saying.
All of them introduced themselves one by one and you could now put faces on the stories Jinsoul told you.
"So are you guys ready for your concert ?"
You chuckled when Yeojin answered that she was born ready, receiving light taps from her older members.
"I'm pretty sure we're going to do well but you know, there's always some pressure."
You nooded at the very logical answer coming from Choerry.
Soon enough the girls had to go do sounds checks letting you alone with Jinsoul that had already did hers.
"Hey.."
"Are you really going to act shy now that your members are not with us anymore ?"
You laughed at Jinsoul shy behaviour and crazy eyebrows expressions before giving her a hug. You smiled at her once you stepped back, not noticing the way her cheeks turned red at your proximity.
Well maybe you didn't notice but Hyejoo was fast to point it out when she came back from sound check.
"Why are you blushing like a teenage girl ? You look like Gowon when I..."
"..When she gives me food !"
Gowon was fast to cut her secret girlfriend off sending her a terrific look. But of course Kim Lip had to step in with her perverted mind right at this moment. You truthfully didn't even have time to register the first segment.
" That's how people call it nowadays ? Wait ! Did I miss Jinsoul great finally ?! Oh chuu, you could have call me seriously guys.."
You tried to search for Jinsoul's eyes but she kept avoiding to make eye contact with you, making you unsure on what to believe or not.
"Did you call me ? Why are you disappointed ? Oh no don't tell me we miss Jinsoul's confession ? Was it great ? Did she kneel down to ask Y/N to be her girlfriend like in romantic movies ?" Chuu asked without breathing between each question.
Sooyoung approached, encircling her girlfriend's shoulder with one arm and listening carefully to what she was saying before presenting her fist to bump to Jinsoul.
"Well done bro."
"Oh no we missed it I told you we didn't have time to make out !"
Heejin's and Haseul's voices were heard respectively talking to Hyunjin and Vivi who exchanged a look before shrugging. You would have let out a chuckle if you weren't so lost at this moment. You tried to reach out to Jinsoul but she walked away before you could.
"Did we say something wrong ?"
You kept your eyes on Jinsoul's figure while answering Heejin's question.
"She didn't ask me out or confess yet, she was just blushing."
The members exchanged terrified looks, feeling guilty for the way they messed up. In sync they started saying all the good things they could about Jinsoul.
"She's always smiling so big when you text her, seriously it seems like her cheeks are about to rip off sometimes."
"She really loves you, she can't stop talking about you to the point where we practically know all about you."
"It's been days that she's been harassing us to have date ideas. I'm so sorry."
"Yesterday she repeated her confession speech so much that all of us know it by heart like poetry now."
They were all talking at the same time letting you hear only half of the informations.
Suddenly no one was speaking, curious about why you didn't bulge or say anything, your eyes still on Jinsoul. Vivi talked for the first time.
"Y/N, why are you not looking surprised by what we said ? You already knew didn't you ?"
"I figure it out a while ago. Jinsoul isn't exactly the best at hiding things and to be honest if she wasn't planning on confessing I would have been the one to do it anyway."
The girls were so happy to hear that you felt the same way about Jinsoul than what Jinsoul felt for you. They started squealing like crazy, getting Jinsoul's attention back to you. You noticed how even though she was kind of sulking she was looking out for you when she mumbled : "Are you okay ?".
You decided that it was time since her confession had been sabotaged, you had to do it. You nooded before mumbling an "I love you" almost imperceptible on your lips.
You saw how Jinsoul's eyebrows frown, not sure that she understood it right. You didn't have time for more charades so you walked to her.
"What did you say ? I didn't get it."
"Nevermind. Would you go on a date with me ?"
Jinsoul's blinked a few times before looking at you with arched brows. Asking you if you were serious.
"Thursday, 6pm ?"
The smile that took place on her face was the brightest you ever saw.
"I'd love that."
"Yeah I kind of guess."
She chuckled at your joke even though she was still a little angry at her members for being so bad at secrets.
However you spent your day looking at the girls rehearsal before Jinsoul led you to your car since you couldn't attend the concert.
Before you entered your car she hugged you tight, inhaling your scent to get courage before the show.
"What did you mumble first ?"
You chuckled at how she was trying to get what she wanted in exchange of a hug. You broke the hug and got in your car but before driving off you repeated it in the safe place of your car where she could only try to guess.

hi again, it’s tally ! this is my second baby kareena !! she’s very new to me and it’s pretty exciting bc i tend to just recycle characters kjhfgkj again, if you’d like to plot, please reach out to me on dms, or you can like this and i’ll reach out. you can also talk to me on discord if you’d prefer that. ( gowon face insurance company#8416 ) also pls excuse how messy this is, i havent written a proper full intro in a while.

kareena puri
march 30th, 1996 - 25 yrs old ; aries
cis woman, she/her, bisexual (closeted to her family, not so much to anyone else)
born in mumbai, india. raised in seattle, washington.
currently residing in port briar, maine
pinterest board: here
TW / CW: none, other than a controlling family, which idk if it even should be tagged but yuh
kareena knew it, she was lucky compared to others. she had it better than some of her peers, and she recognized that privilege. but if she could trade her family life for a “normal” one, she would in the quick snap of a finger.
kareena’s family was pretty much old money. she came from a long line of doctors in almost every medical field, and they own so many private hospitals and clinics in many countries. if you happen to hear the Puri family name, you probably would associate it with these things: a big hospital that you probably drove by with your car or a surgeon that your doctor wanted to refer you to.
every child in the family was expected to go to med school. it was the only way to keep the family legacy and pride going. of course, the more new generations came in the family, the more there were those who decided to take different fields of work instead. and of course, the eldest members in the family would always voice their disappointment in them, and would always make sure to remind them that they’re a disgrace no matter how successful they are in whatever field they went into.
kareena didn’t know what she was doing at the young age of sixteen. her parents would boast about how she would be a successful doctor when she grows up, just like her older siblings, and how her younger siblings would be the same as well. all kareena did was nod and smile. she didn’t want this.
the thing is, she was a naturally great student with really good grades, and yet her parents would be disappointed if she got a B+ or even an A- on a subject every once in a while. she didn’t get it. she thought she was doing her best. although the complaining about her report cards was getting a bit too much coming from her mother, and that’s when kareena really started to not give a fuck. yes, she still got good grades for her own sake, but she started to do whatever she wanted. she hung out with kids her parents would call a bad influence, and started to skip some school days or go to parties on the weekends. it was fun and liberating to her.
once her senior year was over and kareena was graduated with a high school diploma, her family was back at it again, trying to get her to apply to all the notable medical schools out there. she had protested about it, and family fights ensued, and with some threats, kareena was forced into applying. next school year, she was in another city, studying to be a surgeon, and her mind wasn’t into it at all. she only lasted one year before she decided to drop out and transfer to FIDM, a fashion school in L.A, instead.
kareena has always been into fashion. the way she dressed would tell you so. how she was always on the latest fashion, and how she would have so many sketchbooks and scrapbooks of fashion related things. she loved making her own clothes at home with her sewing machine. her mother would tell her that it’s a nice hobby, but she never guessed that her daughter would want to pursue it as a career. the color drained out of her face when she saw what kareena had done. she was angry and disappointed, and mostly worried about what the rest of the family would say, more than she cared about her daughter’s wants and needs. kareena, however, didn’t care. she was happy. she moved out to be closer to campus, and soon enough after graduation, she left everything behind and decided to go somewhere quieter: port briar, maine. this was completely different from everything she was used to, it was so quiet and small, but she loved it. she finally feels at peace with herself.
now, kareena is a successful fashion designer. she started an online business, and it has been booming, with fashion influencers promoting her work. she was hoping that someday she would get to do bigger things, like making custom items for celebrities and being featured in fashion magazines and fashion weeks. she could only wish and work towards that for now.
and even with all of that, even when kareena had picked herself up from the ground on her own and built her own business, her family still didn’t approve. they still pretended to care about her, but would make sure to remind her of how disappointed they are in her and the path she’d taken. they would sit and wonder what it would’ve been like if she continued to go to med school, and how successful she could’ve been. and all kareena would do in response is smile and say that she’s successful anyway, but at least now she’s doing something she actually loves.

born in mumbai, india. moved to seattle, washington when she was still a baby, and was raised there for the rest of her life, all while still visiting family back home.
kareena is the middle child of 5 siblings. two older brothers and two younger sisters
she is bisexual, and she’s pretty open about it. except to her family. shes not out to them
she believes in working hard, but she also believes that everyone deserves to have fun and get a break every once in a while. she currently is the only main person doing all the work for her business, but she’s hoping to soon hire anyone who has the same interests as her
her designs are mostly evening wear dresses and such. think teuta matoshi or marionela type of dresses, all flowy and puffy, giving fantasy feels
altho i would say her success is more like early hope macaulay, when she was still starting out. if no one is familiar with her, she is an irish fashion and textile designer who got famous for her knit wear on instagram, and she’s p young !! u might recognize her work if u look her up <3
she currently lives alone port briar, with her rented home facing the beach. exactly how she likes it. it was different and definitely not lavish like her home growing up, but she liked it better. she could’ve lived somewhere more expensive, but she didn’t want that.
owns a studio where she usually works. there is more space for her there than what she used to have at home. all the design process, sewing and even photoshoots take place there usually
if not working, kareena could be found at the rocky beaches near the port’s lighthouse or off somewhere on an adventure. she is always here to have a good time
honestly kareena is still such a new character for me, so if i think of any other hcs, i’ll add them here
.  ∘ ∗   :   🐝   𝙲𝙾𝙽𝙽𝙴𝙲𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽𝚂   …
friends from school, could be from seattle or L.A: kareena would’ve kept in contact with those friends tbh shes the type of person to keep her friends around. even if they were just added to her snapchat or followed on instagram. she would keep up with them
toxic relationship / gf: THIS
exes ?? we could definitely plot this out
high school ex perhaps 👀
FWB: no strings attached
neighbors: she lives on sea sprite lane
family members? kareena would be hoping that left them all behind in the past, but it can’t be denied that she has a big family and she could possibly run into any of them at any moment
omg crush perhaps ! idm if it’s one sided, and it could either be kareena having feelings or the other person
a friend she had a falling out with: she probably met this person two years ago when she first moved here. something might’ve happened and one thing after another, they dropped each other and it was probably the worst falling out for both of them
clients / customers for her business perhaps. or maybe a helping hand!!
literally anything u wanna do, lets gooo

Hi! I hope you're doing well :) Can I request a Heejin x Reader scenario where reader spends the New Year celebration with LOONA and everyone knows they both have a crush on each other so they try to set them together for a new year's kiss?❤️
Cherry Chapstick: Heejin x Reader
when heejin invited you to celebrate new year’s eve with her at the loona dorm you lowkey panicked. you’ve been there before on multiple occasions and you happened to be friends with some of the girls as well. the problem was that it was new years. any other holiday would have been fine but new years....everyone knows about the infamous new years kiss. and that kiss was the only thing that was bugging you.
see, you liked heejin a lot, you have for a long time but you’re very convinced it’s unrequited. despite the fact that hyunjin told you that heejin liked you too, it was still hard for you to believe. you had even tried to make yourself un-like her by distancing yourself from her.
but that fell through last night when she told you to your face that she knew you were trying to push her away. heejin was the first for you made since you moved from north carolina to south korea for your mother’s job. she was close to you and she didn’t want to lose that. but since heejin wasn’t one to force you to explain yourself, only asking a simple yes or no question:
do you hate me or something?
you were quick to tell her no which prompted her to invite you to the dorm so you could celebrate new year’s with the girls.
all of that leading up to now. you paced around your bedroom trying to figure out what to do. heejin told you to be there at 8 and it was already 6. most people would think that’s plenty of time but they couldn’t be more wrong.
styling your hair alone would take an hour, then picking out your outfit, eating before you go, walking there, and probably getting distracted on the way. all of those leave you with 10 more minutes of standing around before you’d be late.
without wanting to waste too much time you scrolled through your phone looking for a hairstyle. it didn’t take long to find a simple yet cute one, two braids into a high puff. simple enough.
like you expected doing your hair took an hour, although yes the styling part was quick. you somehow allowed yourself to not comb your hair for four days, which lead to a very not fun detangling process. all is well now though because you looked fantastic, the curls are all types of popping.
you got overwhelmed choosing an outfit and ultimately decided on a sweatshirt and black jeans. just as you were putting on your coat your grandmother stopped you, “where you goin lookin all prettied up pum’kin?”
you replied “heejin’s. remember i told you about it last night...you said yes.”
your grandmother onced you over “put on anotha’ layer, you finna get a cold baby cakes...n change ya shoes too.”
checking your phone you saw it was already 7:45 heejin’s dorm is a 20 minute walk away, 15 if you’re fast.
you whined “momma i’m gonna be late, i’ll only be outside for 15 minutes i won’t get sick.”
she came back from around the corner, a scarf, ear muffs, gloves, and your pair of tims in her hand. “see dats what ya ancestors said bout dem diseases n look what happened.”
you sighed deeply “momma-“ she narrowed her eyes at you and just like that you were on the floor changing your shoes.
when you were done you stood up and asked “alright can i go now?”
the older woman asked playfully “tryna leave me so soon?”
you quickly replied “n-no of course not momma i just-“
she laughed and told you “i’m just messin’ wit ya baby doll, go on now. have fun for me aight?”
you hugged her and placed a kiss on her cheek before running out the door.
it started snowing right as you were approaching the dorm building, you thanked lord that it didn’t happen sooner or your hair would have gotten messed up.
you texted heejin that you were outside and she quickly came and got you, leading you up to their dorm.
when you got upstairs the girls were all scattered around the dorm. haseul and kahei were still hanging decorations while gowon was playing on her switch. hyejoo and hyunjin were arguing over some game that they were playing on a laptop. yerim and yeojin were singing their hearts out in karaoke while jungeun was literally rolling on the floor laughing with jiwoo about god knows what. jinsoul was spaced out staring at a wall while sooyoung went to find her headphones to tune out everyone else.
heejin didn’t even get a chance to ask what you wanted to do because yeojin immediately grabbed you to sing a song on the karaoke machine.
the one perk about you being an american was the fact that you were quick to school the girls on all of the classic movies. from mean girls to clueless to white chicks, they’d seen them all. which is exactly why yeojin had no problem singing A Thousand Miles with you in english.
heejin could only laugh from the side as the two of you intentionally butchered the song. she watched as you went by each member to check out what they were doing as well. her heart eyes didn’t go unnoticed either, especially by hyunjin and haseul.
you’d excused yourself to the restroom and that was the time for all of the girls to grill heejin. each of them admitted they saw the way she watched you, they knew she liked you. heejin caved and admitted it to them all, but quickly following up with “but don’t do anything to embarrass me...please. i don’t want to mess up what we have.”
the girls all agreed, but because all they promised was to not embarrass her, they still managed to devise a plan to get you two together.
you returned from the bathroom, all of their eyes went to you and the room fell silent. your furrowed your brow “w-what? did i do something?”
yerim replied quickly “no no of course not! you just...uh”
jiwoo jumped in “you just look so gorgeous! all of us were stunned by your beautiful.”
you felt your cheeks heat up as your ears felt like they were burning red. hyunjin laughed “awwww she’s bLUSHINGGGG!”
heejin slapped her arm and hissed, “stop that!” before pulling you off to the side, back so the two of you were watching the television.
the two of you stayed side by side for the entire night, her arm looped in yours. by now it was 11:30 and the countdown was nearing.
you personally noticed how all the girls would start to mumble, then suddenly stop when you looked at them. not wanting to assume you just brushed it off, telling yourself it was “work stuff” even though you knew damn well it wasn’t anything work related.
both you and heejin were mindlessly scrolling through your phones, she was sitting next to you, half of her body already on your lap with your arm wrapped around her shoulder, holding her close to you.
“i’m bored let’s play a game!” haseul got everyone’s attention from the middle of the room. the rest of the girls agreed, you and heejin included.
“let’s do truth or dare.” hyunjin stated with a small smirk. everyone nodded immediately agreeing with her on the game.
you already knew it was a set up, but you also wanted to see how it played out so you didn’t say anything.
the the time fifteen minutes had passed, hyejoo danced all of Kiss Later, jinsoul ran down the street in her infamous lemon pants, sooyoung and jiwoo swapped clothes, and chaewon successfully made microwave popcorn (it was sooyoung’s dare to allow her to do it without supervision).
it was now your turn and you were starting to regret not telling the girls that you were onto them.
“alright...y/n truth or dare.” sooyoung asked with a smile.
you replied “truth.”
sooyoung laughed and said “is it true that you have a giant crush on heejin?”
your eyes widened and you switched to english quickly, hoping the foreigner card will get you out of this one, “i don’t understand the question...sorry.”
all of the girls excluding heejin and haseul booed you playfully, teasing you lightly sue to the blush on your face.
“alright that’s enough.” haseul quieted her members down so heejin could go next. the leader also got up and went to the kitchen for a glass of water.
“heejinnie truth or dare?” hyunjin wiggled her eyebrows dramatically.
“truth.” heejin answered without hesitation.
“oop sorry nope that’s not an option. you close dare by default settings.” hyunjin smiled.
heejin quickly whined “wha- she cant do that can she do that? haseul unnie! she cheated.”
haseul came back with her glass of water, a fake confused look on her face “sorry i wasn’t here i can’t do anything about it. sorry heekie.”
heejin mumbled “you all suck...” she took a deep breath before asking “fine what do you want me to do?”
hyunjin along with everyone else looked at each other before saying in unison, “kiss y/n at midnight.”
the two of you immediately froze in place, your face went pale as panic coursed through your veins. did she actually find out? who told? maybe hyunjin was right?
before you could decline you felt heejin dragging you to her bedroom, all of the girls giggling and squealing as you left.
you say on her bed, your feet dangling off the edge as heejin laid on her back, her head in your lap.
“sorry...they can be a little- you know how they are.” she spoke softly as she reached for your hand, playing with your fingers as she talked.
you replied “it’s cool...my friends back home were the same way- really i’m not upset or anything.”
a thick silence fell over the two of you as you stared blankly at the window and heejin looked up at you.
she asked “so...?”
you replied “so what?” you laughed a little at the end, humming a second of the song before focusing back on the conversation.
heejin responded “d-do you actually...like me?”
you looked at your feet, “yeah...i do. but it doesn’t matter.”
heejin sat up “why?”
you replied “for starters i cant really speak korean, your job wouldn’t allow me to even be with you, and even if we did the media would tear me apart for being black and you for being queer, you’re busy and i’d just hold you down. i don’t wanna do that to you...”
heejin frowned and opened her arms for you, “why would you say that?”
you mumbled into her chest “cause it’s true.”
heejin pulled you closer and said “you’re wrong...all of it. you’re wrong. your korean improves every single day. my dating ban ended three months ago, i’d protect you from anyone and you know that. plus i couldn’t care less about what they think, half of the group is queer too. if anything you push me to do better.”
you mumbled “really?”
she hummed “mhm”
you brought your hand up to heejin’s running your finger over the prominent tendons in her hand. softly you asked her “do you like me though?”
she let her voice deepen, “of course” she rasped out gently with a smirk creeping onto her face.
pushing her gently you mumbled “you’re such a tease, stop it.”
she lifted your chin with her finger and asked “what if i don’t hmm?”
your breath hitched in your chest for a minute before you replied “then i’ll have to....”
your eyes flickered to the digital clock across the room, 11:55:00 it read.
“you’ll have to what? hmm? cat got your tongue?” she pushed her face closer to yours, biting her lip lightly as her gaze narrowed, her eyes crawling up and down your body.
you let her push you back against the wall behind you gently. her face was centimeters from yours, you stuttered “h-heekie”
heejin ran her pointer finger underneath your chin lightly, “yes princess?”
your mind was cloudy, your couldn’t think about anything but the girl in front of you. words simply were not coming out of your mouth no matter how hard you tried. the best you were able to get out was, “i-”
she asked gently “is this okay baby?”
you resorted to body language instead, snaking and arm around her waist and holding her hand.
heejin held your face in one hand, her thumb tracing your jawline, “tell me yes or no pretty girl.”
you nodded and choked out “y-yes. yes.”
her eyes looked at the clock once more, only two seconds to midnight. she smiled as lifted your chin so her lips met yours.
the second you two pulled away she told you, “happy new year y/n.”
you were still thinking about the feeling of her lips on yours, the way she held you close, and how all of her emo were put into one simple kiss. without thinking you mumbled “your lips taste like cherry chapstick....”

title : loona when their idol partner performs one of their songs
note : yall finally the weekend bruh , I TOOK TOO LONG AND NOW ITS NOT THE WEEKENED CRYING BYE
song : sweater weather , the neighbourhood
Tumblr media
loona would be backstage, waiting to perform, when heejin spots your group emerge onto the stage through the screen in the greenroom. your group would be performing a cover of butterfly. how did she not know about this ?? the whole time, she would be focusing on you as best she can. when you come out of the performance she engulfs you in a hug and repeatedly tells you how proud she is of you
during one of your group's concerts, hyunjin would've visited to support you and your members. an interval had just passed over and fog steamed over the stage as your group's members were elevated from under it. suddenly, the beginning of favourite began to play, and her face absolutely lit up
for the whole day you'd been telling haseul that you would be doing a livestream on vlive and she just *had* to join. so it had finally reached the time for your stream and she joined almost immediately. for the first ten, twenty minutes or so,, you just communicated with your fans as you searched something up on your computer. and the reason you were searching something up on your computer was so you could do some singing. first you would sing a song of your choice , let me in , and then you'd take requests. after the stream, she would text you being like OMGOGMG THAT WAS SO COOL OMG I LOVE YOU SO MUCH OMG ILY
for a special stage on a music show, you , along with members of other groups ( yuna of itzy, beomgyu of txt, chenle of nct , and yena of izone to be precise ) , were set to perform voice. yeojin sat backstage, getting her hair and makeup done. there was a tv in the dressing room, and she could hear the intro and then you start off the song with heejin's part. immediately her head would whip around to watch you dance around with the other idols. after the performance she'd meet you to congratulate you !
this was the week leading up to your group's first anniversary, and for each day leading up to it, there would be a cover of a song to pay homage to some of the members' favourite groups. as you were secretly dating vivi, you chose loona , and decided you'd all learn hi high ! after filming for the mv was done and it was uploaded, you'd message her and tell her to watch it. judging by her reply you could just tell how happy she was
you'd be visiting a variety show in order to promote your group's most recent comeback, and you would be asked by one of the hosts to show off your dance skills. when you get up to dance, eclipse would start playing. you just knew when kim lip would watch this episode she'd freak out and would never stop talking about it,,, like ever lol
for mama this year, your group would do a medley of multiple different iconic songs , similar to what ateez did in 2019 !! one song transitioned to another and you were performing so what, starting from the bridge to transform into your group's take on the chorus. loona wouldn't be attending that year, but jinsoul would definitely be watching at home. as soon as their song came on she literally shrieked. when the awards were over, she called you up congratulating you and telling you over and over again how proud she was of you
your company wanted you to visit a variety show in order to get your group some more recognition, so that's where you found yourself, alongside other members from groups with not a huge fanbase in korea. one of those idols was your girlfriend, choerry ! no one else knew, of course, but when you had to complete a karaoke challenge and had to choose a ballad by one of the visiting groups, you just had to choose 365 to see her reaction. as expected, she jumped up and down in excitement
in your group, you were the main dancer, and your company wanted you to participate in a show to promote your latest comeback. for your audition into the show, you performed new, knowing yves was one of the dancers who'd already auditioned. as you went through with the moves, you could see her in the seats with a huge smile on her face. it wasn't until after the show that she could actually express how happy she was during that moment
one saturday night, some of your members , along with yourself , were rather bored and unsure what to do. so what better time than now to do a vlive ??? whilst doing karaoke ??? after your members went, it was finally your turn. without telling the viewers what song you were singing, you looked it up on the computer. the other members knew about you and chuu's hidden relationship, and squealed when they realised you were putting on heart attack. she was definitely watching, somewhere alongst your fans, because as soon as the stream ended, you found she had spammed your messages with keyboard smashes
being a soloist was sometimes boring, only because you lived in a house with no one to be silly there with you, however you did have gowon , but due to her being an idol in a group, you had differing schedules. but this year, you'd been working probably the hardest you've ever worked in order for the end-of-year concert to come out all right. millions would be there to see you and other groups , and loona would be attending to. in order to remind your girlfriend how much you mean to her, you decided to perform a mashup of various loona songs ; such as why not, colours, one & only etc etc ,,, sitting back stage, waiting for loona to perform , wonnie was a bit bored. but then she heard that you were going on and cheered up a bit...... but then she heard her songs and she was absolutely ecstatic
the majority of your group were orbits, and they were even more so when they found out you were secretly dating olivia hye. when visiting kcon, your group was set to cover multiple different songs by multiple different artists, but you were bound to sneak in a loona song here and there. or maybe a full six-minute long mashup cover of all the loona solos. loona was just backstage, running through choreography and whatnot, but then they became distracted by the fact some of their songs were being sang onstage. olivia would do some searching for a tv to see who was performing ,,, and when she saw it was you and your group, a huge smile made its way to her face

The 13th Member
Not a request or anything, but since Loona is added to the list, I’ve decided to make this as a means of introducing them.
Please note that this is long.
Tumblr media
“I thought we would only be having twelve members?” Jungeun’s brows were pinched together when she faced the leader and Haseul shook her head, just as confused as the rest of her members.
“Wouldn’t the meaning of Loona be different then?” Heejin added when she fiddled with the pillow that rested on her lap. “There’s supposed to be one girl per month, but now there’s going to be a repeat.” Yeojin pointed out. “No, I don’t think it would be a drastic change.” Jinsoul interjected.
Sooyoung was busy reading the email BlockBerry sent them and tried to think of some way for them to understand why another girl was being added to the group. It wasn’t that they didn’t want another member, but twelve people was already difficult, considering the line distribution and their dorm.
“Plus, they didn’t say much except for her being Y/n and that we’re all showing up in her music video.” Hyunjin reread the email as well before lifting her head. Of course, the teaser photos were also given to them to add more on what was going on, but it didn’t seem enough information.
Kahei gently rubbed Chaewon’s back, knowing that the girl was a bit tired and that they were all needed to fly out of the country yet again.
“Isn’t she that really quiet girl?” Jiwoo inquired while Jinsoul nodded her head. “I’ve seen her around the company, maybe once or twice, but from what I know, she likes to keep to herself.” She explained, making some of the others frown. “Isn’t that going to be a problem if she won’t talk to us?” Hyejoo voiced out, her frown seemingly permanent but Yerim patted her shoulder, her grin on display, contrasting the latter.
“I’m sure she’s just really shy because Korean isn’t her native tongue. Based on the way she spoke to me before, she was really nice though.” She stated, earning their attention. “You’ve talked to her?” Haseul asked, a bit excited at the prospect of knowing more about her new child.
Yerim nodded before she gestured to Chaewon. “We saw her when she arrived at the company. From what she’s said, she only started almost two weeks ago.” Realization flashed on the blonde’s face as she nodded her head. “Oh, right. She looked so lost and we could tell that she was really uncomfortable.”
“Vivi unnie isn’t going to be the only foreigner, now.” Sooyoung finally spoke up after a few minutes, setting her phone down when the pair nodded their heads. “She struggles with Korean. She said that she only knew a bit of it, so we couldn’t really keep a long conversation.” Yerim said with a small pout, wishing that she was able to speak more with the girl if she had just known that she was going to be in the same group.
“We can help her, just like when we helped Vivi unnie.” Heejin grinned, happy with being able to help another member if they needed it. “Well, since we have some clue about her, I think I can rest easy.” Jungeun breathed out while slumping on her seat. Jiwoo and Jinsoul laughed at her claim before their manager and the camera crew showed up. Their smiles immediately came back, much more comfortable and excited with meeting their new member.
“We’re all going to meet our baby!” Jiwoo squealed while clapping her hands. “Even though she’s older than Heejin unnie by a few days, she’s the official last member of Loona.” Yeojin said to the camera, grabbing her bag as they prepared to board the plane. “For now, I will savor being a senior.” She says playfully.
The cameraman then asked them what they knew about the newest addition and all eyes turned to Yerim. “Gowon and I were the only ones who talked to her.” She started, a thoughtful expression on her face. “She was extremely shy when we first met, but that’s normal for most people.” The others agreed with her claim before Chaewon added. “I’m sure that it’s going to be like some of us. Some were really awkward when we first met each other.”
The attention was soon on Haseul and she beamed brightly, her anticipation rising. “I personally can’t wait to see her. Just knowing that she’s shy makes me want to protect her.” She admitted. “We were also told that Y/n isn’t exactly feeling the best.” Jungeun piped up after she walked away from their manager. “So, aside from going there for the shoot, we’re going to do our best to cheer her up.”
“Fighting!”
..
After eleven longs hours on the plane, the girls finally arrived at Canada where the music video was being shot. Looking around, all twelve girls huddled close to each other so no one would get lost.
Haseul, even with her exhaustion, was bouncing on the balls of her feet and hugging Kahei’s arm to contain her excitement. “Ah, we’re so close to meeting our baby.” She sighed wistfully and her fellow leaders nodded along. “Is she at the filming site?” Heejin asked their manager, who nodded his head from behind the camera.
“Y/n has finished her photoshoot yesterday. They’ve started filming this morning, but since there are a lot of different scenes, it will take a while to finish.” The man explained to them, making Haseul pout at the thought of how tired the girl must be.
Jungeun glanced at the time before she looked up. “Are we going now? Or do we drop by the hotel, first?”
“I think half of us should head to the shoot first, then the other half will go to the hotel.” Hyunjin and Yeojin suggested, seeing that some of the members still needed some time to adjust themselves due to the lack of sleep.
Looking to each other, they had to discuss who would go first until, eventually, the leader line, along with Heejin, Yerim, and Chaewon, decided that they would go to the filming site. They had agreed that it would probably be best to have the last two along, that way you would be able to feel a bit more comfortable with familiar faces.
When they arrived, Sooyoung quickly looked around and Yerim was already buzzing with excitement when she spotted the other van and staff. The sun was already setting, so when they asked where their newest member was, one of the staff pointed towards the direction where some light was coming from.
“It’s so cold.” Chaewon whined while she shifted closer to Heejin as they tightened their jackets around themselves. “Ah, my poor baby. We need to hurry!” Haseul made sure to have hot packs with her as she picked up the pace. Their manager made sure to stay with them so they wouldn’t wander too far into the woods.
“It’s so scary.” Jungeun mumbled while looking around to see the darkening skies. “Why are they filming outside?” She asked no one in particular while Sooyoung chuckled. “Maximize your resources.” She simply said before they finally reached the clearing, seeing various lights, chairs, and the cameras set around.
In the middle of it all, there was a bit of staff that was helping you with how to hold a bow. They could see the way your hands were trembling from the cold, clenching tightly around the arrow as you followed the instructions given to you.
“That’s so cool.” Yerim awed as she watched you practicing with the bow and arrow. “I think Olivia Hye would be jealous.” Chaewon grinned as she saw the director motioned for a break.
They took that as their cue to come closer, Haseul leading when your manager handed you a jacket where you basically hid inside it, causing the girls to giggle at the adorable sight.
When they were near enough, Haseul wasted no time in greeting you with a wide smile, startling you as you lifted your head. “Hello!”
Suddenly, there were six girls in front of you and you awkwardly shuffle before waving your hand, noticing the camera that one of them was holding up. “Hi.” You greet stiffly, causing Sooyoung and Jungeun to chuckle before Yerim burst in front of you.
“Y/n! It’s so nice to see you again!” The younger girl cheered and you smile at her and Chaewon. “I didn’t expect to be here, if I’m being honest.” You admit sheepishly, but they shake their heads at you with encouraging smiles on their faces.
Heejin stands beside you and gently rubs your back in assurance. “I’m sure you’re doing well, so don’t worry about this.” She says confidently and you nod your head. “What were you doing, by the way?” Chaewon asks, referring to the bow and arrow that you were carrying earlier.
You begin to explain to them what the director told you, stumbling over your words while the six of them listened patiently. Heejin and Haseul did their best with explaining a few words you had trouble understanding then all six of them together helped in how to pronounce certain words while also giving some advice for the shoot.
When it was time to continue, you politely excused yourself, peeling off the jacket and then jogging back to where you were supposed to stand. The girls stood behind the director, monitoring everything while they also listened to the song.
“I can’t imagine filming in the snow like this.” Chaewon frowned when she saw them doing a retake. “Mine was already cold, but it wasn’t snowing.” Sooyoung muttered while she looked to the monitor.
Haseul and Jungeun were nearer to you, pressing hot packs to your exposed skin while the staff was fixing the lighting and camera so you wouldn’t be as cold. During the time, the rest of the group finally arrived, all of them as chipper when the other six arrived earlier. “How is she?” Jinsoul asked curiously, looking as the two came back.
“It’s freezing.” Hyejoo muttered quietly when she and Chaewon linked arms. “She’s doing great.” Sooyoung tells them while they watched. “Is she really shy?” Yeojin asked them and Yerim shook her head. “At first, she was. But when we got to talk more, she seemed to grow comfortable.”
“She’s still practicing with Korean, but she is capable of understanding and communicating with us. Vivi unnie, you can help us when things get a bit harder to explain.” Kaahei smiled and nodded her head. “Ah, she’s like a baby!” Jiwoo squealed while her hands refused to stay still.
“We get to teach her and everything. It’s kinda cute.” Hyunjin commented. “I think we did a good thing with not coming together. I feel like she would have been overwhelmed if all of us came.” Jinsoul told them when she looked back to see them moving on to another scene.
The rest follow her line of sight and Hyejoo notices the prop near the staff. “What are those for?” She asked and Chaewon suddenly grinned before telling her. The girl’s eyes widened as she stared at the blonde. “Really? No way!” She looks back before a smirk appeared on her face. “Do you think we can borrow it when they don’t need it anymore?”
“You could get yourself or someone hurt.” Kahei says worriedly. “I think we should leave it alone.” Hyunjin added before Sooyoung is breaking from the group to see you returning with the staff. The sky was already dark and you were obviously freezing if it wasn’t for the way you were wrapping your arms around yourself while doing your best to stop shaking.
The taller girl quickly took off her own jacket to throw around your shoulders since the staff went to fetch your own jacket. Immediately, Sooyoung was pulling you as close as possible and trying to warm you up while Yerim handed you a hot pack. “You okay?” Heejin asked gently and you nod your head. “The clothes aren’t exactly the best for snow.” You say with a small chuckle and then nod to the building. “We’re moving inside. It’s a bit warmer in there.”
It was only when you got inside did you realize that the entire group was present. Jiwoo was introducing herself happily, hugging you while Jinsoul did the same. Yeojin tried to pretend that she was older, but ended up laughing half way. Hyunjin asked questions about where you were from, smiling as she listened to you speak whilst Hyejoo was asking about the arrows, making you giggle when you told her that it would be okay to use.
The first day/night, you were able to know more about your group mates, telling them more about yourself in the process. Kahei was very understanding with your struggle in speaking Korean, so she made sure that you didn’t stress yourself out when trying to tell them something.
The day after that, Hyejoo was the first person to film with you. While you laid on the bed situated in the empty room, she was sat next to you, and as soon as the camera started recording, she was towering over you with a hand over your mouth. Her part wasn’t exactly too difficult, so in a matter of time, Odd Eye Circle was asked to film next.
They had changed into the uniform with their assigned colors while being lead back to the forest where they first met you. “I need you girls scattered, okay?” The director tells them.
It was the typical running scene where some of the members were hidden behind the trees and bushes. By the end of it all, you had spotted Jinsoul standing a few feet ahead of you with a small smile on her face after checking over your shoulder. But as she got nearer, you had to keep running for the camera.
Slowing your pace a bit as you got nearer, Jinsoul happily welcomed you into her arms just as the recording ended. Since there was no way of stopping without colliding, the older girl decided to catch you instead and then smiled as she ruffled your hair. “Good job!”
When you got to finishing the scene with them, you were given a break so Yerim quickly pulled you along, the two older girls following close behind. “How are you with standing out in the cold so much?” The younger girl questioned while you shrug your shoulders. “I’m not easily cold, but since we’ve been out for quite a while and it’s snowing a bit more, I really wanted to end quickly so everyone doesn’t have to stay out longer.” You told her and her smile looked much bigger while nodding her head.
Inside the building, Jiwoo waved at you as you walked over and then offered a snack, one you politely declined, causing Hyejoo to raise a brow and Haseul to frown. “You should eat a bit, unnie. You haven’t eaten much since this morning.” She told you and Jungeun gave a stern glare. “You ate just a bit before we started and that was hours ago.” She nagged, making you blink as the others laughed. Haseul ended up handing you a sandwich and nodded in the other’s direction. “You heard her, Y/n.”
So while waiting for the staff to call you back for filming, you ended up sitting next to Jungeun, since she decided to monitor if you were really eating, and Kahei while munching on the sandwich and listening to the song again to practice. You were still struggling with the words and grammar, so when Kahei noticed, she leaned over to look at your notes and smiled while she lightly poked your shoulder. “Need some help?” She asked softly and you rubbed the back of your neck in a sheepish manner.
“If it’s okay?” She shakes her head before shifting closer to see better. “Of course it’s okay!” She tells you before asking what you were having troubles with. And when you explain to her, she quickly begins explaining how you should sing the song. Somehow, along the way, Chaewon was also beside you and pitching in when you had mispronounced a word.
“Okay, okay. I think I got it.” You tell them and Jungeun asks you to try for them so they could see. So when you played the audio, you did your best in singing the parts they just explained before Chaewon is happily clapping her hands together. “Perfect!”
The scene for that, you ended up roaming around the run down building with Jiwoo, Sooyoung, and Chaewon following you. They showed up in different rooms and you had to pretend that you didn’t notice them. However you did have to retake a few times because Jiwoo and Sooyoung ended up laughing more than they thought and you ended up laughing with them.
The day after, the only people who came were Heejin, Hyejoo, and Yeojin. They weren’t really needed until later in the day, along with the rest of the girls. But when they learned more about the day’s scene, they were curious how things would play out. Also, you couldn’t be with them much due to filming, so getting to know more about you was when you were at the site.
“I’m really nervous about this.” You were currently waiting in the building, the camera in your hand as you tried to be less awkward. “By the time this is out, you’ve all probably watched the video. I hope you all like it and support me and the rest of Loona.”
You blinked at the camera before your manager decided to help by asking, “How do you feel about being added to Loona and meeting the girls?” You smile shyly before telling him what’s been going on during the past few days.
“I was honestly surprised. I knew Loona was supposed to be a twelve piece group so when I was told I would be joining, I was skeptical. But here I am.” You grimaced slightly at how you sounded but push on. “As for the girls… they’re all really nice.” You begin to smile. “I was really awkward at first, but when I saw Choerry and Gowon, I felt a bit better because I’ve met them before.”
“They were all being really nice and they were helping me with what to do, what I shouldn’t do. Vivi unnie and Gowon were really sweet when they offered to help me because I couldn’t say the words right.” You admitted with a bashful laugh. “I hope I can do well like everyone.”
Yeojin was nearby when she heard you speaking and she couldn’t help but smile. Though she also felt bad with the pressure that was being put on you, she was glad that they were able to make you feel welcome.
“Unnie, you shouldn’t be so tense, okay?” The youngest suddenly said, causing you to jump due to her sudden arrival. She giggled before hugging you. “You have us now, so don’t worry.”
You slowly returned the hug while smiling at her and nodding your head. “Thank you.”
..
“Isn’t that dangerous?” Heejin asked with wide eyes when she looked at the frozen lake in front of them. Even though they had a stunt person doing the scene for you, you still needed to stand on the ice before you were being replaced by the other person. Hyejoo’s grip on her jacket tightened when she looked at you as you shifted at the edge of the lake. It was clear on your face that you were nervous about this and she felt scared for you because what if the ice cracked and you fell in?
Yeojin was standing next to her, holding her arm. “Be careful, unnie.” She said as confidently as she could, but even her expression wasn’t convincing.
The director assured them that it would be okay. To prevent any accidents, they all prepared a few things just so you wouldn’t fall in, which eased some of their worries a bit, but to see you walk slowly farther over the ice layered waters made them anxious. They filmed it as quick as possible, and thankfully nothing bad had happened. When you went back to more secure land, Heejin was already waiting for you and quickly wrapping your jacket around you when she pulled you into her arms. “Are you okay?” Hyejoo asked and you nodded to them as your stunt double took your place.
The four of you watched from the screen and you couldn’t help but feel bad for the person who had to take your spot. This time, she had to actually fall into the water and, even with the harness around her to lift her up quickly, you still felt your breath caught in your throat as you watched.
Yeojin was subconsciously gripping at your arm and both Hyejoo and Heejin noticed when you wrapped your arms around her instead. It made them smile to know that you were getting more and more comfortable with them.
After you thanked your stunt double countless times, you were free for lunch and decided to invite the girls to a nice restaurant you saw when you were driven there. Of course, the managers and staff were present, you thought it would be a good idea with getting to know more about them.
“I’m surprised that you haven’t gotten sick from being out in the snow so much.” Hyejoo said while you waited for your food to arrive. “The staff did their best with picking places that weren’t exactly filled with snow, so it helps. But often times, it gets really cold that I can barely stand without shaking.” You told them. “You were filming outside for a few days. But tonight is the last, right?” Yeojin asked and you nodded. “Yeah. Majority of the scenes are outside with a bit inside the building. It’s a bit similar to Love Cherry Motion and Egoist, kind of a mix.” You try to explain and they were able to understand when they saw the completed scenes.
“Break Out does have the same vibe as Olivia Hye’s.” Heejin agreed and the younger girl grinned before she raised her hand. You notice the gesture before giving her a high give and chuckle. “We’re pretty similar then.”
..
Jinsoul tapped on the glass carefully, squinting as she saw the water filling it halfway. “That’s cool.” Jiwoo said when she pressed her hand against the flat surface. “Does it get filled with water?” Jinsoul asked curiously when the water stopped pouring and you nod your head. “They’ll fill it after so the water isn’t too cold.” Jiwoo looked at you in surprise, her eyes wide open as she looked to the rank then you again. “You’re getting in there?” She asked, astonished, and you smile at them. “It’s to progress with the other scene.” You explain and Jinsoul nods.
When you had to film, the girls watched from the side, Haseul taking charge of the camera once more. “Y/n is working hard everyone. Even when it’s freezing here, she’s doing her best for the video.” Hyunjin watched with tense shoulders because once you were under water, they had to watch you try and break the glass. “I can’t do that.” She mumbled next to Yerim, who looked completely immersed in what was happening.
“Unnie looks so cool though.” The younger girl said before there was a crack and they saw the glass starting to break when you had kicked it. But because you were in water, you were struggling. This was a one take scene since there was only one glass container.
When the lower part finally broke, the water rushed out and you made a big enough opening so that you wouldn’t get cut while the camera kept filming around you. “And cut! Vivi, Haseul, Heejin, Hyunjin, and Yeojin, please get ready.” The director called out and the five quickly got up, the camera being passed to Sooyoung before Jungeun is taking it from the older girl. “I’m the substitute for Haseul PD.” She argued and Sooyoung took the camera back. “But she handed it to me!”
Shaking their heads, the four girls hurried over to where you stood, a towel draped over your shoulders as you looked at the playback. Kahei smiled at you when you looked at them and the director began telling them what they had to do for the final scene.
Before the filming could continue, the staff was clearing the floor from glass, placing them a bit farther away so that you wouldn’t get hurt because when the cameras start rolling and you stepped out of the glass, you fell to your hands and knees before laying down to look up at the light bulb hanging above you. With a quick cut, the camera shifts to a different angle where the five girls were standing, their faces obscured by the shadows.
They take a few steps closer and your eyes shifts to them when Heejin steps out of line and then kneels down next to you, her eyes scanning your face with an almost unreadable expression before she’s offering her hand to you. And as instructed, you take it.
Finally, the filming had ended and you let out a breath of relief while Heejin helps sit you up, grinning widely. “You did it!” She cheered as the rest rushed into your line of sight, all squealing in excitement, minus Hyunjin who crouched beside you and looked at your knees. She had noticed the tiny cuts on them when you laid down earlier and she had to control her expression so that you wouldn’t have to repeat the whole thing and possibly worsen things.
“You’re hurt.” She says softly while Yeojin gives you the towel again. “Come on, you need to dry up and have those treated.” She tells you and soon, you’re making your way back to the waiting area. The staff was quick with helping you, handing you some of your clothes and then leading you to the van to change.
While you were drying your hair, there was knock on the window, and when you checked, Jinsoul was standing outside along with Yerim. “Hyunjin unnie said you were hurt, so we wanted to see if you were doing okay.” The younger girl said as you let them in and you blink before smiling at the thoughtful gesture. “I’m okay. It was just a few scratches here and there.” You tell them but Jinsoul was already looking at your legs to check where Hyunjin said you got hurt.
When she saw a particularly bigger cut, she quickly walked over and forced you to sit. “You shouldn’t lie about these things.” She scolded lightly before instructing Yerim to grab the first aid kit and then began treating your knee, much to your embarrassment. “I-It doesn’t really hurt! And I was going to clean it at the hotel.” You explained quickly, only to hiss when the older girl started to apply antiseptic on the cut.
Yerim only giggled as she sat beside you before patting your shoulder. “You’re going to have to get used to this.” She tells you and you just sigh before shaking your head and then smiling at them.
This would have to be something you needed to adjust to, but as you fell asleep on the way back to the hotel with twelve girls smiling happily at you, it didn’t seem like getting used to this would be such a bad thing.

I made this in a rush so expect tons of mistakes, happy reading!
When Chaewon arrived at your school everyone was starstruck by her. She was beautiful, boys and girls were always walking behind her trying to find a way to ask her out. And even when she rejected them, they were persistent and that annoyed Chaewon, you could see it in her face. That’s why you never try to approach her.
She didn’t seem arrogant; you just didn’t want her to feel more uncomfortable and stressed than she was feeling before. Maybe that was what made her curious about you, she always saw you looking at her but you never did anything to start a conversation, and you had the opportunity in all the classes you shared. So she talked to you first and you had to admit you were surprised when it happened.
You were not her first friend at school, but you were her first real friend. All her other friends wanted to be with her or her popularity. Chaewon didn’t understand all the interest in her, but you did, she was new and pretty and apparently, your classmates liked those types of people.
She warmed up to you in a few days and you did the same. She told you a lot of her secrets and you did too. One of the only secrets you didn’t tell her was that you liked her, but she kept a few secrets to herself too.
When she left she didn’t say anything. She did tell you that she was dropping out if she had to take the school picture, you didn’t believe her and the first days you thought she was sick. After weeks of not knowing anything, you tried to talk to her older brother but you never crossed paths with him at school. So you went to her house and her mother told you she was traveling for a few months and that she had indeed dropped out. That day you also played with her little sister, Hyomin.
One day, while you were putting some books inside your locker before leaving to your house, you heard your classmates talking, you were not one to pay attention to gossip, but when your ears picked up Chaewon’s name you started listening attentively.
“Did you know Chaewon is debuting in this group called LOONA” You heard one of them saying
“Really? I didn’t know she wanted to be an idol” Neither did I, you thought.
You took out your phone and searched for LOONA on Instagram. There was a post of Chaewon, she had black hair and she looked beautiful. On the corner there was a name, Gowon, it was written in mint color, she doesn't even like mint.
When you got home you were feeling conflicted. Of course you were proud of her, being an idol actually suited her, but you were also angry, why didn't she tell you?
You spend the rest of the day thinking about it and got to the conclusion that you shouldn't be angry, you were friends and you only had met 4 months ago, being mad at her was stupid and pointless. You decided to support her. I mean you would be a bad friend if you didn’t and you were a lot of things but a bad friend was not one of them.
So, a few days later when her album was out you bought it. The two songs on it were actually really good and you found yourself listening to them a lot. You wanted to go to her fansign but you didn’t have the money nor the time to travel to another city.
After some time, her group debuted as a full and you were impressed with all the girl's skills and visuals. They all seem nice and Chaewon seemed to like them, she looked happy so you were happy. You followed their journey, always supporting her and her members.
You kept in touch with Chaewon’s family, even though your feelings for her were gone, her little sister used to call you when she wanted to go out and her parents couldn’t take her to the park, so you, your little sister would spend time with her, on rare occasions even your older brothers would go with you (you were a big family). Sometimes Hyomin would tell you about whatever Chaewon would tell her over the phone or how she visited them over the holidays, it was nice to know Chaewon really did enjoy what she was doing. But after finishing school, you got accepted into one of the best universities in Korea and you had to move out.
You still talked to her sister though, when she needed help with some homework, she would ask you and then talk about whatever happened in school that day. Sometimes you felt bad about it, you didn’t want Chaewon to think you were trying to replace her.
One day you got a text message from an unknown number
xxx: hey! xxx: it’s Chaewon, from school. I hope you don’t mind, my mom gave me your number.
Y/N: hi! don’t worry, how you doin’?
Chaewon: i’m great, thank you!
Chaewon: how are you? my sister talks about you a lot
Y/N: i’m good!
Y/N: i’m sorry about that, i hope you don’t feel like i’m trying to replace you or anything
Chaewon: oh no, don’t worry
Chaewon: i actually wanted to thank you, for helping her and all
Chaewon: she told me you were living in Seoul now! and i wanted to know if you wanted to catch up a little bit?
Y/N: i would love to!
Y/N: just tell me when you are free and we can plan something Chaewon: i will
She had a really busy schedule, but in the end, you decided to meet at a Coffee shop near her company a week later.
You were already there, taking advantage of the fact she hadn't arrived yet, you were doing some work you had left for one of your classes.
You heard the tingle of the bell, indicating that someone had arrived. You looked up and made eye contact with the girl that had entered the shop. You smiled at her and she smiled at you while walking to the table you were sitting at.
“I'm sorry I'm late. Practice took longer today” Chaewon said after sitting in the chair across yours
“Don't worry, I understand” You started packing all the books and pens you had been using.
There was an awkward silence between the two of you until you broke it “I really like your music; you are really talented”
She blushed at the compliment and bit back a smile “Thank you. I didn't know you listened to it”
“Of course I do! I even bought your solo album when it came out”
She looked at you surprised “Really?” You nodded your head “That's so embarrassing” she hid her face in her hands
You chuckled and shook your head “It's not. It was actually really good. Your sister, my sister, and I used to listen to it a lot”
“Thank you” then she added with a grateful smile “For being there for her. Whenever we talked on the phone, she would tell me everything you did together.”
You returned the smile and said “It was nothing, she is a great company”
After that day whenever you both were free, you would meet up at the same coffee shop. And her members were getting suspicious about it.
Gowon was getting ready for another one of your dates, this isn't a date we are just hanging out. She thought. Yeah, just a hangout.
When she was finishing her make up Jinsoul entered her room “Where are you going?”
“Out” Was all she answered
Jinsoul looked at her “You are leaving when we are at your dorm? That's not a way to treat your guests, you know?” She said playfully
Gowon put her mascara down and looked at the older girl “Well I already had plans before you guys came here. If you had told me before then I could've just canceled them”
Jinsoul narrowed her eyes “And who are you going out with?”
“None of your business” Gowon then walked out of the room and made her way to the living room, Jinsoul close behind her.
“Gowon is ditching us!” She said way too loud for everyone in the room to hear.
Yves looked at Gowon up and down before saying “Are you going on a date?”
She looked at her with wide eyes “W- What? No” She looked down at her outfit “Why would you think that?”
Everyone ignored what she had said and started screaming. She could barely understand what they were saying but she could make up some things.
“With who?” “Where are you going?” “When are we going to meet them?”
She ignored all their questions and walked to the front door, but before she could open it she heard Haseul say “I want you here before 9!” Gowon turned to look at her with a weird expression on her face and then walked out.
“Who do you think she’s meeting up with?” Heejin asked the other girls in the room
“Probably that friend from school she has been meeting up with lately” Olivia said
“Who?!”
Today you decided to go to a different place. In the afternoon you went shopping and now you were taking a walk along the Han River
“So, I’ve been calling you Chaewon this whole time, do you prefer if I called you Gowon?” You asked her
“Oh no, I actually prefer you calling me Chaewon, it helps me forget about my career for a moment”
“You don’t like being an idol?”
She shook her head “I do, I love it. Sometimes I just want to do what everyone else does without worrying about my company or what people might say”
You smiled at her “Well, I’m glad you can feel free with me” You took her hand and pulled her to a bike stand “Come on, you know how to ride a bike right?”
After having dinner near the river, you decided to walk Chaewon home. You were a few blocks away when she said “I hope this doesn't sound weird or anything, but when we were in school I kind of had a crush on you”
“You did?” She nodded “No way! I had a crush on you too” You laughed
“Why didn't you say anything?” She asked you
You shrugged your shoulders “I didn't know you liked me back”
She looked at you with a serious face “You didn’t know? I made it super obvious!”
“No you didn’t, if you had then I would’ve asked you out,” You said.
”One time I literally told you!” When she noticed your confused face, she added “We were sitting under a tree doing homework and you were talking about a Harry Potter movie and then I said “I think I like you” and then you laughed”
You looked at her with wide eyes “I thought you were saying that you liked me better than your stupid friends” good one there Y/N.
“We weren’t even talking about them” That’s true, you were talking about how Ron was stupid for not realizing Hermione liked him and she was listening to you rambling about it. How could’ve you been so stupid? Hahaha, HoW cOuLd I’vE BeEN sO stUPid, you mentally shook your head, you needed to focus.
“How ironic. I was talking about Ron and all the time I’ve been acting like him” You chuckled
“Yeah. I like Ron though” She hinted
“I like him too, he’s one of my favorite characters actually” Of course you didn’t get it.
“How come you were the brightest in school?” You were a few meters away from her home now, she could see her building.
You playfully gasped looking offended “Excuse me? I helped you pass every single one of your classes. I think I’m kind of like Hermione!”
She scoffed, but she had a smile on her face “Sure, you can be Hermione” she started walking faster to her home and left you there standing.
“Why did it sound so sarcastic?! I am Hermione!” She waved at you and you waved back watching her walk away with a big smile on your face.
As soon as she entered her house, she opened your chat and changed your contact name.

“I’m not the girls, but I can leave if you want to”
She immediately rushed you into her house “No no, don’t worry.” She looked at your hands, you had a stuffed animal in one and chocolates in the other. “Did the person you wanted to ask out rejected you?” She put on a sad face but internally she was kind of happy about it.
You looked at the things in your hands and then at her “Oh no, I haven’t asked them yet” You extended the things you bought to her “Do you want to be my valentine? I know is in a month but you are going to be very busy and I’ll be too, so I think it was better to ask you now. I hope I didn’t read the “I like Ron though” in the wrong way. If you don’t like me is fine! we can still go out as friends and do fun things like-”
You were cut off by her lips on yours “I’ll be your valentine, Ron Weasley” she had a bright smile on her face and you did too.
“As I said before, I think I’m more of a Hermione, but I’ll be whoever you want me to be.”

Loona’s Reaction to their S/O Fainting
Prompt: Hiya could you do a loona reaction of their S/O fainting please? 💕
A/N: I hope this is what you had in mind, anon? - Admin Kiwi
Haseul: “I’m here, it’ll be okay.” You would really freak her out when you fainted, making her heart stop as she rushed forward to catch you. After she made sure you didn’t hit your head on the floor, she’d sit down with you cradled in her arms, gasping. When you woke up, she’d try and be strong, smiling and reassuring you despite her own fears, knowing that you needed her in that moment.
Tumblr media
Vivi: “You’re the most important. Please don’t forget about your health.” She’d be worried as soon as you got sick, so your fainting spell would only make them worse. Her heart would almost stop when you fainted and she would laugh in relief when you woke up before lecturing you about your health as she helped you back to your bed and forbade you from getting up until you were better.
Tumblr media
Yves: “You made me really worried back there. I didn’t know what to do.” She’d freeze in the moment, internally panicking when faced with the possibility of you being very sick. Once she snapped out of it, she’d quickly go to your side, making sure you were okay and calling your name. After you were up and okay, she’d admit how scared she was, embarrassed but relieved that you were okay.
Tumblr media
Kim Lip: “You aren’t going anywhere until you’re feeling better.” She wouldn’t panic when you fainted, her body automatically reacting to make sure that you were okay first. Once you were awake and in bed, however, she’d begin to shake and would refuse to let you out of her sight, determined to make sure you were healthy and you wouldn’t scare her like that again.
Tumblr media
Jinsoul: “We need to figure out why that happened.” She would be really scared when you fainted, to the point of crying out of stress and concern, and even if you tried to assure her that you were fine afterwards, she’d insist that the two of you go to the doctor and figure out why you’d fainted. She would take the situation seriously, not wanting anything bad to happen to you.
Tumblr media
Chuu: “This is really serious, (Y/N), I was worried.” This would be one of the very rare times that you saw her not smiling. Although she’d stay rather calm while checking to make sure you were okay and helping you wake up, she’d internally be freaking out, doubting her own actions and scared that she might be doing something to hurt you in her desperation to help you feel okay again.
Tumblr media
Heejin: “I’ve never had this happen before.” She would panic a bit at first, freezing up and not knowing what to do. She’d also be afraid of doing something bad when she knelt down beside you and gently touched your shoulder, her heart hammering in her chest. After everything settled down, she’d laugh about it because she wouldn’t know how else to cope, too upset to do much else.
Tumblr media
Hyunjin: “Why didn’t you tell me that you were sick?” She would become serious the moment you fainted, something you wouldn’t see very often. Although she wouldn’t panic, she would be scared and would call Haseul or one of the other older members for advice, on the verge of tears. Even after you were okay, she wouldn’t leave your side, upset with herself for not noticing your sickness earlier.
Tumblr media
Gowon: “I-I really don’t know what to do.” Gowon would definitely freeze up, as she would be so shocked and worried she wouldn’t be able to decide on what to do. She would beat herself up afterwards, though, unable to stop thinking that she didn’t help when she could have until you reassured her that you were okay and nothing was her fault, and that just being by your side was enough.
Tumblr media
Choerry: “I’m not leaving until I know you’re okay.” The whole situation would really shake her up, and although she’d still keep her optimistic attitude to help you feel better and less scared, she’d be very worried and more serious than you’d ever seen her before. She’d refuse to leave your side until she knew you were okay and recovered, not wanting to leave and risk you fainting again.
Tumblr media
Olivia Hye: “I thought it was really bad.” For the first time ever, you’d get to see her burst into tears. She would cry out of worry almost as soon as you fainted, the stress upsetting her too much to hold in as she frantically ran to make sure you were okay. After the fact, it would be funny, but you’d have to hold her close when you woke up to help her calm down and to assure her you were okay.
Tumblr media
Yeojin: “Oh my god, are you okay?” This would be her first time experiencing this sort of thing and it would really freak her out, especially since she wouldn’t know what she could do to help. She’d end up calling her older members for help, then later apologizing that she couldn’t be much help, feeling really bad about her reaction until you reassured her that she helped in every way she could.

-----
You were desperate for money when you were first recruited into the army. Both of your parents have just died and you needed to take care of yourself with no one there for you, so when they made an offer you couldn’t really refuse. You’ve always blended in well in society and had an uncanny knack for unearthing secrets, hence why it was quite natural for you to be a spy.
You’ve been placed in many different assignments, among others being stopping the unrest led by JYP and as a spy in the court of one of the puppet states, but never have you been assigned to a high profile target in a different kingdom, always targets in your kingdom, as you’ve always been more familiar with the customs within anyway.
Hence your surprise when you’ve been assigned to spy on the princess of a neighbouring country. You were one of the closest in presumed age to the unnamed butterfly princess and were the most likely candidate to be able to infiltrate the kingdom, especially because you’ve lived on the outskirts before and understood their language. Of course, knowing your superiors, you are probably not the only spy sent, however, you humoured their reasonings and followed their instructions, as per usual. Their task was pretty vague, however, in that you should find some way to be able to approach the princess and to await future instructions.
So, this leads to where you are now. Butterfly kingdom, on the way to the capital, wondering what the hell are you going to do to get into the castle. As you arrive in town, you spot an enchanting girl with butterfly earrings and a butterfly mark on her left wrist in front of an apple stand in the market. From the vague descriptions you’ve been given, she fits the profile of the princess and you couldn’t be more captivated. (You expected her to be pretty, her having always been described as such, but those descriptions don’t really give her beauty justice.)
As you tried to think of a way to gain her trust, you notice a group of thugs (most likely from a neighbouring kingdom) approaching the princess. Usually, in most kingdoms, a guard would step in, but there was no sign of any guard around, so you took the opportunity, seeing as you had some semblance of combat training.
When they tried approaching the princess, you started walking in that direction, calmly preparing to draw your sword. They started to threaten the princess, as you notice how she shied away and started backing away, her face frightened at the realization that no one in the area can help her. You couldn’t stand aside and watch the helpless girl any longer, so you stepped in front of her and drew your blade. While the thugs outnumber you, they started backing off when they saw the silver blade, a gift from your employers.
As you turned around to talk to the princess, she immediately pulled you into a hug as thanks. You could feel your cheeks glow red as you shyly look away from the blonde girl in your arms. As she pulls away, she cheerfully introduces herself as Go Won and asks you to accompany her around for protection, as her usual guard is currently sick, as if you’re someone she’s known for years. (You wish you could understand how a girl can be so naive and trusting to someone she’s never met.). Of course, knowing this might be the only chance for you to achieve your goals, you accept. You wouldn’t turn down a favourable prospect like this.
As you escorted the princess around, you can see how much of a kind and pleasant person she is. She’s helpful and caring to those around her, even those supposedly in a lower class to her. It’s refreshing to see someone this perfect and filled with love, yet it also fills your heart with guilt with what you were supposed to do. You promised yourself that you wouldn’t get attached, else you grow fond of the enemy.
Once you were done, the two of you headed to the castle. There, you were hired as an additional guard, when the princess put in a good word for you with her parents after what happened. You just bowed in thanks, grateful for the opportunity coming from the princess’s naivety. Yet you also feel a growing feeling of guilt set in your stomach.
----
You found out the Princess' full name is Park Chaewon. When you ask about the name you were given, she mentioned that Gowon was a nickname her family gave her. A pretty name for a pretty girl. As you start your duty as a guard, your main task was to accompany Gowon on trips to the market or when she’s visiting others around the kingdom, where you get to see even more of her generosity and kindness. You can’t help but get to know her a bit better, and she’s grown quite attached to you.
It’s another trip to the market, where you first met her. She’s currently talking to one of the vendors, asking about the state of the kingdom and if there are any issues she can help with. You can see how the vendors are all clamouring for her attention, clearly enamoured with the princess who only brings joy to those within the kingdom.
You wish you could’ve kept your promise, to not grow attached to the girl smiling in front of you. You’ve genuinely grown to like Gowon, which is something that wasn’t supposed to happen. You were here to spy on her and report it to your superiors, not befriend the girl. Especially with new instructions coming within this fortnight.
As she turned to look at you, you stare into her eyes, losing yourself in them for a moment. Shaking your head, you turned your head away, feeling flush in embarrassment at being caught. Why did you have to get so attached to this girl you have barely gotten to know. Is it because of how naive and trusting she is, that makes you feel that you have to protect her? Maybe it could be how she cares about everyone? You can clearly see she cares about everyone, though it takes someone blind to not notice that she favours you, with how she always talks to and spends time with you, even if you’re only a guard.
It could be that you are the closest to her in age, with you being less than a year younger than her. It could also be how you saved her, or how you always take your time to comfort the princess. Whatever it is, it’s clear that the boundaries between the two of you are disappearing, as are your duties and loyalties as a guard to her and as a spy to your home.
One day, while you were standing guard while she sits in her garden, she asks you to sit next to her. You comply, not one to refuse a request from her. You both sit in the silence for a bit, content with just enjoying the moment, until she turns to you and smiles. She exclaims, “I still have to thank you for saving me back when we first met.”, her eyes teary.
You wanted to pull her in for a hug, but you know it wasn’t in your position to do so. So you decide to comfort her a different way, speaking up. “You don’t have to thank me, anyone who had the means would do the same.”
She scoots closer to you, and you hold your breath as she leans her head on your shoulder, “But no one else did, you were the only one.”
You decide it was the right time to bring up something that has been bothering you, “Why did you trust me? I was just a stranger to you, surely I could’ve meant you harm?”
Gowon just turns to look at you knowingly, a soft smile on her face. “I have my reasons.”
You just looked at the princess expectantly, before sighing and looking away disappointedly, expecting her to not explain any further.
To your surprise, you hear her speak up not long after, trying to articulate her thoughts. “You were the first and only person to step in to protect me when you had no real reason,” you felt a twinge of guilt here, “to do so. No obligations, no relations. You’re not even from our kingdom, yet you stepped in to help a stranger.” She points a finger at your chest, “From that point, I knew you had a good heart, which makes it easy to trust you.”
You wished that was the case, that you were truly devoted to her. It would’ve made serving her (loving her) so much easier, yet you knew otherwise, that you were a spy serving your own country, and that her trust in you was misplaced and undeserved.
---
You didn’t know when it started really, but you notice yourself staring a lot more at Gowon. You tried to justify it as doing your job in keeping an eye on her, but you knew it was something else exactly. The title she was given, the Butterfly Princess, fits perfectly in this situation too, because every time you see her, or even when her name is brought up, you can feel the butterflies in your stomach. Drat! You’re falling for her.
This wasn’t supposed to happen, you weren’t supposed to get attached. You curse yourself for letting this happen, but looking back really, you realize it was inevitable. Gowon’s just the kind of person no reasonable person (and you’re perfectly reasonable thank you) can hate and everyone loves.
---
You rubbed your eyes and took a fifth look at the letter, not believing the words you see on the parchment. Kill Her. That’s it, that’s all the letter says. You buried your face in your hands, heart heavy for what you are supposed to do. Kill Gowon? You sighed, knowing you’re going to be facing an impossible task. Will you be able to kill her and get out alive? Surely not, the people adore the princess, if she was found missing it wouldn’t take much convincing for a manhunt to occur.
You’re not even sure if you could kill her. Sure, you’re probably physically capable of killing her, but do you really want to kill this bright and cheery girl who’s warmed her way into your heart?
You close the letter and sit back on your bed, sighing. You know that whatever you choose to do, you’re going to have to betray someone, even if it pains you to do so. The country you were born or raised in, or the princess you’ve grown to care for, the one who accepted you without hesitation into their life.
---
It was the middle of the night and no one was awake. You quickly headed towards the princess’ room, as there was no guard right now, after you convinced them to go on a night out at the pub. You quietly entered the room, closing the door behind you. You find your target sleeping peacefully on the bed, somehow looking even more elegant in the night. One slit is all it takes, and then you can quietly leave before anyone realizes.
You’re a monster for even considering it, but orders are orders. You draw your dagger and approach the girl you swore to protect. You hesitated, but you knew it was better this way. Painless, in her sleep, with no worries, even as your own heart starts to crack. You kneel on the floor next to the bed and close your eyes, wishing her a happy afterlife. As you move your dagger to her throat, you hear a sleepy whisper. “y/n?”
You recoil back in surprise, as you realized you were not quiet enough. You sigh, before properly placing your dagger on her throat, shame and self-hatred setting in as she winces when the cold steel touches her skin. “Forgive me” you whisper, eyes already tearing up.
Yet, strangely, the girl in front of you seems calm, unphased at the prospect of her death. She just turns to you, her eyes not fearful, but almost pitying. “Why are you doing this?”
You clamp your mouth shut, willing yourself to not speak a single word. However, you can feel that resolve shatter as one of her hands grasps your other hand, holding it tenderly, even while you are attempting to kill its owner. “I’m not who you think I am.” you exclaim, trying to control the quiver of your knife wielding hand.
“Are you not y/n? My trusted guard and closest friend.” she says, eyes still staring into your own.
You immediately looked down, feeling unworthy of her attention and care. “I am, yet I’m also y/n, spy for the sun kingdom, one who’s task is to murder the princess of Butterfly kingdom, to murder you.”
You nervously fidget, waiting for her reaction as you dare not to look at her. Waiting for her to scream and call the other guards, for her to stare at you, to bat your hand away, to curse at you, any reaction at all. You deserve all that and more. Yet, nothing came, only her hand in yours, still stroking it softly. “Then why are you hesitating?” she whispers knowingly after a few moments of silence.
At that moment, you realized you were screwed. There was no way you would be able to kill this girl that means so much to you, even at the cost of your life back at home. You sigh as you drop the knife by your side and fall to the ground, sitting facing away from the bed, head in hands.
You heard rustling from the bed behind you, and before long you felt someone take a seat to your right. “It’s ok…” you hear, as she tries to soothe you.
This only makes you feel worse, as the person you betrayed, the person you tried to kill, is now comforting you. How can she still care for you after what you just tried to do? So you voiced that out, asking her why she still cares after what you’ve revealed and done, why she isn’t rushing to get you imprisoned.
Gowon just wraps her left arm around you, pulling you into a hug, not saying a word. You can feel the love and kindness from her, which both soothes you and makes you feel guiltier. How could you try and kill this wonderful woman, who is basically kindness incarnate. You know you’re going to jail, maybe you’ll be executed. In all honesty, you deserve that, deserve whatever is coming for you tomorrow.
After you’ve calmed yourself down, you turn to look at her, tears in her eyes. You hate being the cause of that, the cause of her pain. There is something you’d like to ask her, something you don’t deserve, but you’d like to be selfish one last time, before everything will be taken away from you.
“I know it’s likely that I won’t ever see the light of day ever again after tomorrow,” you start to ramble, as you get more and more distraught and desperate, “so can I just stay here, with you, even if I don’t deserve this, I’d like to spend one last time with you, you don't...” You couldn’t finish the sentence, as she just pulls you into a deeper hug, before whispering, “of course.”
You sob again, tears flowing down your cheek. Yet, at what maybe is your last day of freedom, everything’s just bittersweet.
---
As expected, the next day you were thrown into the castle dungeon. You didn’t struggle, why would you try to escape something you deserve? Your only consolation being how, even through all this, Gowon still continues to smile.
You sigh, sitting in one of the corners, and prepare yourself for what might be the end of your freedom for life. You have regrets, many regrets, but you could only be grateful for what you have experienced, have achieved. You were happy, both back at home and in the few months you were here.
---
It was the day after, when you received your first surprise. When you heard footsteps clinking down the stairs, you expected it to be the guard dropping off food for you (even through all this, they still treated you better than most prisoners, something you're grateful for). You didn’t bother looking up, as every time food was delivered it was just slid into the cell.
That is until you heard a soothing voice, one you never expected to hear again. “Hey y/n.”
Princess Gowon, in front of your cell, as elegant as ever.
You could only stare, wondering what she is doing here. Gowon must have sensed your confusion, as she just smiles and exclaims cheerfully “Visiting my best friend of course.”
You stood up before moving to sit in the corner nearest to the front of the cell. “You still call me your best friend? Why?”
Gowon just laughs as she sits next to you, grasping your hand through the bars of your cell. “You didn’t kill me, and you’re still the same y/n who became my guard and saved me, that won’t ever change.”
The two of you just sat, enjoying each other’s company for a while.
However, before she left, you warned her that you might not be the only spy, that the sun kingdom might have sent more, that they never send only one spy.
---
She continued to visit everyday for the next week, and you couldn’t be more grateful. That you have outside company, and that she still cared enough for you, to spend what is most likely an hour a day just to spend time with you.
It was exactly ten days after your incarceration when you were surprised again. You were sleeping comfortably, as comfortably as you could in this cell anyway, when you were woken up by whispering. You groggily rub your eyes, before turning to look at your cell’s opening. There, you see Gowon holding some keys. Wait, was she wearing a hood? You rubbed your eyes more, clearly you’re just seeing things. Nope, she’s still standing right there. “What are you doing here?” You ask quietly.
She quickly busied herself with unlocking your cell, as she answered that she was getting you out of here.
“Why?” you asked, bewildered.
She just stares at you in disbelief at your question. And you understood. Really, looking back, the hints were clearly there.
How her smiles were different when directed to you, softer and sweeter. How she always made time for you, almost even more than anyone else. How you were always her first pick to accompany her in outings. Her answers when you asked her why she trusted you. How she only smiled when you attempted to kill her, then comforted you, her would be killer, right after. How even after you were imprisoned she continued to put away her time of day for you.
The door unlocked, and you walked out, a bittersweet smile at the thought of never seeing her again.
You pulled her in for one last hug, she accepts it.
“Is this goodbye?” you ask, softly.
She smiles softly, and shakes her head. “No, this is just the beginning.”
You understood. She takes a few steps, offered her arm to you. You grabbed it, and followed her into the unknown.

Over the Heart
Request: omg that jinsoul one was so cute! can you do one for olivia hye with some angst? thank you!
A/N I’m glad you liked it! I hope this one is to your liking as well.
Pairing: Olivia Hye x Fem Reader
Tumblr media
How did things get so screwed up? Just 24 hours ago Hyejoo thought she’d be in your arms right now, not watching you walk away from her in disappointment. In fact, she’s disappointed in herself too. It all started last night when Yeojin went to Sooyoung for advice. A classmate of hers that knew you mentioned that they had seen you on a date to Yeojin since they knew you were friends. Obviously, the maknae is aware that you’re in a relationship with Hyejoo, so she sought Sooyoung’s advice before going straight to Hyejoo. Sooyoung ended up telling her on Yeojin’s behalf.
At first, it didn’t bother her. She told them to mind their business if they didn’t see anything themselves. I mean, why would she listen to something Yeojin’s classmate thought they saw. So She brushed it off and never even brought it up to you. Then, one afternoon Sooyoung came to her again and said that this time she saw you herself and presented Hyejoo with a picture. It was you and a foreign-looking blonde girl laughing together at the cafe that you usually frequent with Hyejoo.
Obviously, now that there was clear evidence the raven-haired girl couldn't help the sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. How could you do this and still come smile in her face like that? It didn't go as planned though. She wanted to confront you about your alleged affair but she didn't know how to. She thought about how she could approach you but she actually let it fester for almost a week before making any move.
Then came today, only minutes before this exact moment had she looked at you and put forth the accusations. Except now she was the one left crying as you revealed the truth.
"Hyejoo, she's a foreign exchange student at my school. We were language exchanging. She's been teaching me Russian every other day so I can learn it and teach you too and I've been helping her improve her English. I was trying to create another excuse for us to spend time together that BBC wouldn't mind. Is this how little you think of your own girlfriend?"
The hurt in your eyes only moments ago left her dumbfounded. She hated how you looked at her right now. Your beautiful eyes brimming with yet unshed tears and the way you clenched the promise ring that you had put on a necklace and you never took off. But she could actually hear her own heart start cracking in half when you reach up to take it off.
"Wait! J-Jagi you can't be serious. It was a misunderstanding, what are you doing right now?"
Hyejoo could feel sweat beginning to form on her brow and her distress levels were through the roof. You never took your ring off. Never.
"Clearly you can't trust me Hyejoo, maybe we need some time apart. Let's just take a break." You finally unclasp the necklace and place it in the palm of Hyejoo's reluctant hand.
There it was 'Let's take a break.' She had heard from her older members that always meant that it was over without saying it's over. The deflated look on her face must have triggered your affections for her because you gave her one more hug before you turned around.
"It's just a break Hyejoo, not a breakup."
With that, you turned around and began walking away. Hyejoo didn't call out for you she just let the tears fall silently. What could she say? You needed space and she wanted to give you that. She clenches your ring in her hand as hot tears spill from her eyes, effectively blinding her from the sight of your back. The physical symbol of your love, no longer hovering over your heart, where it belongs, but burning itself into the palm of her hand.
When you're gone she returns to the dorms where all of her members are sitting in the living room watching TV. Gowon looks over at the sound of the door but frowns when she sees her friend with tears streaming down her face.
"Hyejoo?" All the members turn to her with worried looks and then a collective gasp is heard when she holds up your necklace for them to see.
"She thinks it's best we take a break." Hyejoo's voice comes out the smallest they've ever heard it. But the two people she didn't even want to look at right now were the first to speak up.
"She wanted a break? After cheating on you with that random girl?" Yeojin practically screamed.
"I oughtta go over there and teach her a lesson myself," Sooyoung grumbled.
"Shut up." She said it so quiet that they almost missed it.
Tensions multiply in the room as the other members spectate what's about to go down. On one hand, Yeojin reads the room and gets quiet immediately. On the other, Sooyoung looks prepared to do battle with the younger girl.
"Excuse me?" Her tone is meant to be intimidating, meant to shut down any further disrespect or argument. It may have worked if she wasn't trying it on Hyejoo of all people.
"I said shut up! Because of you and Yeojin, I may have just lost my girlfriend forever! She wasn't cheating on me, that girl is a foreign exchange student that's living with her family. Now she wants a break but she gave the ring back. Why can't she keep it if she's planning on coming back to me?" With each sentence, her shouting turned into a whimper.
Hyejoo didn't have the strength to walk off and cry in private, so she broke down right there in front of her members. The girls watched in panic and shock as Hyejoo let out a sob that racked her whole body, only pain in her body and mind. Jiwoo was the first to move, she cautiously approached the younger girl and pulled her into a hug. Hyejoo didn't protest. Instead, she clung to her like a lifeline. Heejin approached next to rub her back.
"What exactly did Y/N say? Did she say it's over?" Gowon asked her softly.
"She said it's just a break, not a breakup. But if that's true why give the ring back? And why does it hurt so much?" Her crying has slightly subsided but she makes no moves to pull away from HeeChuu. In fact, having her two affectionate members' warmth around her was kind of soothing. Meanwhile, Sooyoung and Yeojin kept their distance out of fear they might trigger her even more.
"See? Y/N wouldn't have said that if she didn't mean it Hye. Maybe she felt like keeping it on would make her change her mind. I'm sure she just needs to clear her head."
Haseul pats her on the back a few times but the truth is they are all kind of worried. The two of you have never had so much as a mild argument let alone something like this. When she brought you home to meet them for the first time they started joking that Hyejoo would be the first to marry in the group and it would definitely be to you.
"Give her the rest of today and then give her a call in the morning." Jinsoul pet Hyejoo on the head, much to the younger girl's annoyance.
"But she said-" Jinsoul cuts her off.
"I know what she said Joojoo. But it sounds to me like she wants to know you trust her and it couldn't hurt to show her you'll be waiting for her. You are gonna wait right?" Jinsoul's eyebrow quirks up as she asks the question.
"As long as it takes."
"Then show her you don't want to just let her go."
"In fact, if I were you I'd just ask to meet up later this week to talk it over and hopefully cut this break as short as possible." Hyunjin suddenly speaks up.
"That's not a bad idea Hyunjin! Why don't you call her tomorrow afternoon Hye?" Heejin suggests.
"Fine, I'll try it."
That night Hyejoo could hardly sleep. You were supposed to stay over tonight. Be in her arms right this moment spreading your warmth around her and reminding her just how lucky she was to be the one you chose. Though you would definitely say it's the other way around.
By the time morning rolled around Hyejoo had maybe slept an hour. Oddly enough, at least to the others in the living room, she shuffled through the dorm with her pillow until she reached Jiwoo and Heejin's room. She knocks three times before she walks in after hearing Jiwoo's groggy voice. When she enters she sees exactly what she expected. Jiwoo and Heejin cuddled up in Jiwoo's bottom bunk. She could ask for Heejin's empty top bunk but that's not what she wanted right now. As the two girls look up at her in sleepy confusion, they don't make her say it. Heejin stands up while rubbing her eyes and gestures towards Jiwoo's open arms. With very little hesitation she situates her pillow on the bed and climbs into the older girl's embrace before Heejin follows right behind and wraps her arms around Hyejoo too.
There's no denying that this is unusual for all three of them but no one says anything because at least she's finding comfort in not one but two of her members. There was just something so comforting and warm about being in the arms of the two best friends. For one, she knows they care for her, they always look after her even when she isn't in the mood. Maybe it's the emotion from yesterday or maybe she just needs them to know but it's quiet when she mumbles it out and makes the two older girls' hearts melt.
"I love you unnies. Thank you."
They look at each other over Hyejoo's head and smile.
"We love you too Joojoo."
-------------------------------
That afternoon, they sat with Hyejoo while she called you on the phone. As usual, when you weren't busy, you picked up her call on the second ring. It's silence on both ends of the line until she croaks out a vulnerable 'Hey' that you returned with the same energy. She's slightly comforted by Heejin's squeeze on her hand.
"So I know you said you wanted a break but will you meet up with me?" She hears you sigh and say her name but she interrupts with an almost panicked pleading in her voice.
"Y/n, please. I need to see you. I can't accept this break without talking through the problem first. I love you, let me fix it."
You couldn't see her but you could hear the shakiness in her voice. Though you've been together a while now, you don't think you've ever heard her this distraught. But you didn't even really have to think about it because the truth is, you want to see her too.
"Okay." It's practically a whisper but it's all she needs to squeeze Heejin back and perk up a bit, much to the older girl's delight.
"Meet me at our spot?" Her voice holds so much hope that you can't help giggling a little.
"Okay, Hyejoo I'll meet you there tomorrow morning."
"Y/n before you hang up...Can you say it back?" She sounds shy and if you could see how beet red she was from the looks on her member's faces you'd tease the heck out of her.
"I love you too Hyejoo."
With that you end the call, both of you excited to see the other. Vivi comes and pats her on the head with a warm sisterly smile before they are all talking about what she should wear for her meeting with you.
The next morning, she's there about a half-hour early, not wanting to be late and make you feel unimportant. When you arrive you look as beautiful as ever. It starts off awkward with the two of you just looking at each other. Then, you speak up.
"I uh I've missed you. Ya know, even though it's been 2 days." You chuckle, trying to keep it light.
"2 days too long. I missed you too." She deadpans. You're only caught off guard a little but recover quickly.
"I just worry that you don't trust me. You should know by now that I'd never even think about someone else like that."
"I do! It's just that some of the members saw you out with her a few times and it made me nervous. I thought she might be better than me and she is really pretty."
"Jagi I'm sorry but Galina could never. You're the only one and you always will be." You reach across the table and kiss her hand.
"Does this mean break over?" Hyejoo sniffles a little as she holds back tears.
"I don't know yet Hye. I'm still a little disappointed that you think so little of me." Hyejoo hangs her head so you can't see the tears threatening to fall.
"Don't be Y/N unnie!" Suddenly Yeojin is standing over the booth right behind you and you both hear Sooyoung grunt in frustration.
"We came to apologize. Yeojin heard some things and I saw you out. I should've just asked you about it one on one instead of going to Hyejoo. We're sorry Y/N." Sooyoung places a gentle hand on your shoulder and Yeojin nods.
"It was a misunderstanding, I didn't mean to cause problems for you and Hyejoo unnie. Please don't break up with her."
You're still a little shocked by their sudden appearance but you get it together and place your hand on Yeojin's head and give Sooyoung a warm smile.
"Don't apologize. I'm glad you both were looking out for her. That makes me incredibly happy. And I'm not breaking up with anyone. Everything is going to be okay."
Hyejoo looks up at you through her lashes.
"Really?" You almost coo at how adorable your girlfriend looks right now.
"Really." Seeing your smile again gives Hyejoo the warm and fuzzies.
"Then hurry up and put this back on before I get mad."
Before you can really react Hyejoo is clasping your promise ring back around your neck and watching it rest where it always should be. Right over your heart.
