Officially up to December 24th on the incorrect quotes I've written out to be posted. Progress! Only about 3 more months worth left to write out to post! I got past the hard part for my brain to write out (which was apparently August through November) I guess.

Thinking about how EP 5 was so Stizzy Coded
#izzy hands#and 1-3 was edizzy#but honestly why did they give izzy so better moments with stede and ed than gb had with eachother#like there were a few decent moments#but none of them beat izzy and stede with the cursed suit and the ed and izzy gun scene#honestly 1-3 & 5 are my only valid eps of s2#4 & 6 had good moments that unfortunately went nowhere/came out of nowhere and thus fall flat for me#ep 5 lives in its own imaginary universe where the rest of the season never happens#and we have a stede and izzy training plot as well as an ed reconnects with the crew plot for the rest of the show#and those happening together builds a strong crew that stops ricky / whatever villain#everytime I see that gifset of izzy giving the 😉👌 to stede and stede gives a big smile my heart grows

#1. the weather this month was horrible. how is it raining this much in the middle of summer? so annoying#2. July was a month full of having mehmaan or going to visit other peoples houses. I’m a pretty social person and I usually love spending#spending time with family but this was a bit too much#I made my version of knafeh after quite some time (without a recipe really) and it turned out good 😃#3. flowers my mum regretted buying cause after paying she saw other ones she liked more and which were cheaper lol#4. these beads I used last year to make necklace. wore it only a few times so decided to change it and make it into a phone chain. also#got this cute sticker from work. cute right. my inner child is really happy with the amount of cute stickers I can just use#5. every year there’s this group of Muslim youth from another city. and they organise a carnival type a thing for the kids in their city#2 years ago I volunteered there and decided to do it again this year. it’s not in my own city but our masjid is in that city. took my mum#+ little brother with so he could play. my aunt also came with her kids and it was a really nice day. the whole thing was organised and run#by Muslims and was free for all. i had a good time helping out and was asked if I wanna join the committee (?). I declined#bc it’s a little too far for me to be present throughout the year. I will continue to help on the day of in sha Allah. anyway they did do#catering for the volunteers and it was from one of my favourite restaurants in that city. I kinda know the owner so when I saw him when I#joked if my favourite cheesecake would also be provided today. he said unfortunately not but he’ll bring some just for me so he did 🥺#6. made a little heart w my baby bros hair#monthly recap

#totes bro#i put things here when no one irl would carr#and tbh it's fun when i look back through my tag#ive been covering production supervision and lol......just stopped doing that#and so now im at 2 months of not having literally any numbers about the efficiency of our manufacturing#which one of my bosses says i should know because im thr manufacturing engineer#and i just got it okayed to not track those numbers by the gm#because it turns out usually the manufacturing engineer isnt clocking people in and out on projects#and recording variances 4 times a day#so therefore if I dont do that it isnt a deficit on my part#which having it acknowledged that everything outside of my job description i do is just because im nice and not because i need to is 🤌#and that i officially cant be judged on how i do in roles that aren't my own while simultaneously not being able to be judged#on not doing my job if i was covering other jobs is 🤌 yes i havent had any oversight anyway but people started asking questions#the same guy who is insisting engineers should supervise also tried to literally not give me a raise because i didnt forward our engineering#department despite the reason for that being that i cover every single job in this place#i started a calendar of every day i cover i color in and between people taking days off and complete absences#i have done only my job for about 6 weeks total#although yesssssss another year of guaranteed full bonus because they backed themselves into a corner

i never really cared about destiel while watching supernatural on my own because it really doesn’t interest me and i thought dean had more compelling romantic chemistry with other characters like cassie, benny, lisa, etc. but when i got back into spn tumblr i guess the constant proximity to destiel has changed me and i get it now. but only the made up version of destiel you guys have collectively & lovingly hallucinated
#the thing is i love early seasons castiel but he (and all the angels) get soooo watered down after season 5 or 6#to me cas will always be the 'I REBELLED FOR THIS?????' kinda guy. not the guy working at a 7/11 and babysitting for a girl he liked#it got so weird. and only got weirder after that#and i hate how whenever they couldn't figure out what to do with cas' story they would just send him back to heaven#or off on his own little mission#or they'd kill him to be temporarily rid of him#i just feel like no matter how long castiel was in the main cast he never really felt like part of the main cast#because he had a very clear purpose in seasons 4 & 5 and that's where his story was meant to end. along with everyone else's#and it would've been so gooooooood ugh!!!#how is it that every time i talk about supernatural i end up saying 'it should've ended at season 5.'#what was i even talking about before sjkfjskdjsdj

Managed to find vol 3 of drhd for LOADS less than most people's resale value and I hope to god they don't cancel cause of "stock issues" 🤞🤞🤞
#i have now bought vol 1-3#already found copies of 4-6 that are also not STUPID expensive#but im not telling from where or from what sellers cause i dont want anybody buying them before me 😜#theyre all pretty much their original retail value instead of the fucking $60+ for EACH 1-6 volume#once you hit vol 7 the price goes back to rational lol#it took digging like crazy but this is one of the few mangas i want to own and be able to pick up and read physically!!!#idk why they dont reprint it!!!! all the copies out there are first editions only

Apparently, people were still complaining about the Demeter boss fight on twitter and were calling it “P2W,” and unfair like man, what??!?($(?
#it was… surprisingly easy like lmfaooo#I felt stupid for initially overthinking the fight because of the reactions I saw from jp players and fgo ytb talking about it but man#all you really need is a single target rider (or alter ego) with some support on the side and you’ll be fine you do not need to use#SQ or even command code for it#but I guess I’m being unfair saying this since I have some good riders#(all of my servants minus the last few that I’ve gotten are fully leveled including skills at 6 so I do have quite the variety to pick from)#and my kintoki is level 100… and I don’t expect others to have theirs grailed as well#but he can do plenty of damage at his base level and then there’s Ushi like you have sm options#I feel like some ppl just don’t know how to play and that’s fine man#that’s what yt is for like bro if y’all don’t go check out#honako green’s videos if you need help clearing hard battles lmfao#he’s like the go to for stuff like this and he’ll show you how to do it with your low rarity servants and#sometimes he might use CE’s that you may not have but his playthroughs are always pretty solid regardless#rambling#I also have my own skadi so my run on the Demeter fight only took me 4 turns… and I used double skadi so maybe I was just lucky to be able#to do this but still#you do not need high investment and expensive teams to clear most of the content in fgo like#if you have a decent support list then you can just grab whoever you need from there and do your best#thank god fgo let’s players borrow supports btw#I wished they’d let us use the support’s NP’s though#I think that’s a bit unfair still but whatever#I’ve already forgotten if the Demeter fight made us use a forced support but that’s another issue lol

A general cane guide for writers and artists (from a cane user, writer, and artist!)
Disclaimer: Though I have been using a cane for 6 years, I am not a doctor, nor am I by any means an expert. This guide is true to my experience, but there are as many ways to use a cane as there are cane users!
This guide will not include: White canes for blindness, crutches, walkers, or wheelchairs as I have no personal experience with these.
This is meant to be a general guide to get you started and avoid some common mishaps/misconceptions in your writing, but you absolutely should continue to do your own research outside of this guide!
This is NOT a medical resource!!! And never tell a real person you think they're using a cane wrong!
The biggest recurring problem I've seen is using the cane on the wrong side. The cane goes on the opposite side of the pain! If your character has even-sided pain or needs it for balance/weakness, then use the cane in the non-dominant hand to keep the dominant hand free. Some cane users also switch sides to give their arm a rest!
A cane takes about 20% of your weight off the opposite leg. It should fit within your natural gait and become something of an extension of your body. If you need more weight off than 20%, then crutches, a walker, or a wheelchair is needed.
Putting more pressure on the cane, using it on the wrong side, or having it at the wrong height can make it less effective, and can cause long term damage to your body from improper pressure and posture. (Hugh Laurie genuinely hurt his body from years of using a cane wrong on House!)
(some people elect to use a cane wrong for their personal situation despite this, everyone is different!)

When going up and down stairs, there is an ideal standard: You want to use the handrail and the cane at the same time, or prioritize the handrail if it's only on one side. When going up stairs you lead with your good leg and follow with the cane and hurt leg together. When going down stairs you lead with the cane and the bad leg and follow with the good leg!
Realistically though, many people don't move out of the way for cane users to access the railing, many stairs don't have railings, and many are wet, rusty, or generally not ideal to grip.
In these cases, if you have a friend nearby, holding on to them is a good idea. Or, take it one step at a time carefully if you're alone.
Now we come to a very common mistake I see... Using fashion canes for medical use!
(These are 4 broad shapes, but there is INCREDIBLE variation in cane handles. Research heavily what will be best for your character's specific needs!)
The handle is the contact point for all the weight you're putting on your cane, and that pressure is being put onto your hand, wrist, and shoulder. So the shape is very important for long term use!
Knob handles (and very decorative handles) are not used for medical use for this reason. It adds extra stress to the body and can damage your hand to put constant pressure onto these painful shapes.
The weight of a cane is also incredibly important, as a heavier cane will cause wear on your body much faster. When you're using it all day, it gets heavy fast! If your character struggles with weakness, then they won't want a heavy cane if they can help it!
This is also part of why sword canes aren't usually very viable for medical use (along with them usually being knob handles) is that swords are extra weight!
However, a small knife or perhaps a retractable blade hidden within the base might be viable even for weak characters.
Bases have a lot of variability as well, and the modern standard is generally adjustable bases. Adjustable canes are very handy if your character regularly changes shoe height, for instance (gotta keep the height at your hip!)
Canes help on most terrain with their standard base and structure. But for some terrain, you might want a different base, or to forego the cane entirely! This article covers it pretty well.
Many cane users decorate their canes! Stickers are incredibly common, and painting canes is relatively common as well! You'll also see people replacing the standard wrist strap with a personalized one, or even adding a small charm to the ring the strap connects to. (nothing too large, or it gets annoying as the cane is swinging around everywhere)

If your character uses a cane full time, then they might also have multiple canes that look different aesthetically to match their outfits!
When it comes to practical things outside of the cane, you reasonably only have one hand available while it's being used. Many people will hook their cane onto their arm or let it dangle on the strap (if they have one) while using their cane arm, but it's often significantly less convenient than 2 hands. But, if you need 2 hands, then it's either setting the cane down or letting it hang!
For this reason, optimizing one handed use is ideal! Keeping bags/items on the side of your free hand helps keep your items accessible.
When sitting, the cane either leans against a wall or table, goes under the chair, or hooks onto the back of the chair. (It often falls when hanging off of a chair, in my experience)
When getting up, the user will either use their cane to help them balance/support as they stand, or get up and then grab their cane. This depends on what it's being used for (balance vs pain when walking, for instance!)

oooo my first personal post in 5ever bc tumblr is a nice lil private house to post in oooo
#i talk#anyway i’ve been the Central Glue of my friend group for a while and i love being so close w/ everypony like it’s super fun#i’m so glad to have not just 1 but like 5 besties it’s amazing#but pretty recently it looks like some of em have begun making efforts to get closer to one another as well and i’m so excited about it#i love it so much it makes me so happy to see them supporting each other and talking w/o me there#i say this because realizing i was so happy to see one guy give another a cute bro nickname make me genuinely happy#like. noticing that i wasn’t jealous or feeling FOMO or anything#i just felt really excited to see them chatting#and realizing that my own excitement was growth from how i’d feel about that kind of thing in middle school#made me so so even more excited#i’m so glad to have such a healthy support system and so many great relationships. man#love my bf love my besties love the whole gang and i’m so excited that they all love each other too#so happy to not be 13 anymore thank FUCK#i’ve maintained friendships with these people for 4 bdays now!!!!#we have a lot of late winter early spring bdays so we lump em in together as one celebration for scheduling convenience#(hard to hang out 6 times in 2 months span for adults)#and we’ve been doing our joint bdays since we were 17#our first party was at 18 so we’ve only had 3 Parties but it’s been 4 bdays since i became buds with this group#i’m so thankful for my support system man i love those guys#the fact that i’ve maintained an almost 5 year relationship (HOLY SHIT) and a consistent friend group for so long!!! aaa!!!#it makes me so excited i’m so exciteddddd about it#god i love my friends!!!!!
