A counter greyer view- we don’t know anything about how Andreas raised B from day 1 but we do know Bea was raised a psychopath murderess and in isolation, due to As life choices! So A is not a perfect Dad either. Conversely, up to the big road-bump S1E6, S&S were going ok and Sky’s love of his farmhouse upbringing, the way he has turned out and the fact that Saul got himself out of an alcoholic spiral from trauma specifically to BE a good parent, is actually a big plus. (FTR I love all 4) :)

My take on Andreas & Bea is that he was a loving dad. But the thing is, love with no limits and guidance from a shitty parental role don't really mean shit end of the day, right?
I really love Andreas being Beatrix's redeeming quality, her save the dog moment if you will and Beatrix being Andreas' - though it's a little arguable that so is Sky in his case, with a little more grey in there.
Silva in the other hand, did a spectacular job raising Sky, considering everything he had on his plate. Yes, he messed up on the hero worshipping, but end of the day he loved that child more than anything and he raised a loving, smart young man, filled with courage.
And it entices me all the more that between Silva and Andreas we have the perfect parent, what a father should be, but also with their flaws we can put together everything a man should never be. Love it. Two sides of a coin, a very fucked up coin of inherited guilt and hereditary trauma.
(Side note: this is a little eeeeh, but I think end of the day Fate did not villanize Silva for going down a drinking binge when Sky was a baby, which I appreciate greatly.)
