So, following on from some posts about Aussifying Good Omens with @mrghostrat and a few others, I've started a multi-chap fic featuring Crowley as a Garden Specialist from Bunnings, and Aziraphale as a Lions Club volunteer at the Community Barbecue.

(For those of you not in Australia, Bunnings is a chain of large hardware warehouses. There's a million of them all over the country. Each weekend, a community group runs a fundraising barbecue at the front of each store).

The fic is completely drafted, I am working on editing at the moment, and hope to have the start of it up in the next week or so. No spoilers, but it features misinterpreted booty texts, goon of fortune, misuse of the intercom system, and Beelzebub as store manager (who has become my favourite character).

In the meantime, I've been working on some art for the fic.

Bluey is one of my special interest and has been for about four years now. I was excited to find out that Hammerbarn (Bunnings Warehouse) was selling the gnomes. So this morning my mum and I got up early and went down to our local Hammerbarn. I couldn't go into the store because of my Agoraphobia but I stood near my car and watched people coming in and out of thr store. I saw a boy wearing a Bluey tshirt and a lady wearing a Hammerbarn apron. I also saw a sign with Bluey on it. There were some people cooking sausages near the entrance of the store and I heard a man talking about the Hammerbarn Bluey episode.

Why is it ever time I want to investigate something my ADHD wants me to impulse buy, it almost always shows up in bunnings?? For my non-australians, bunnings warehouse is a popular hardware and garden store. that's what I thought anyway, but apparently, they have a much wider variety of products.

Today, I found out they sell mini kalimbas? Those little thumb piano things. And not just that, a whole host of musical instruments. I have no idea if they're any good (i would assume not), but... why? Outside of the obvious "money," of course, lol. Also, there are a bunch of seemingly very random tech things, like gaming accessories (eg., switch/xbox controlers) and TVs? Last week I also discovered the one near me sells a pretty good variety of actually decent quality art supplies and sketch books and my dad claims to have found 3D printing supplies being sold in the one back home too (though i couldn't find it on their website). I know they had that ad campaign about having a massive variety of stuff, but this all seems very out of place for a shop that usually smells like sawdust and manure, lol.
