the concept of any of the good bl adults coming to find hunter and luz in the worst timeline without vee is very funny to me like.
darius shows up at the door and luz practically screams his name with delight and when hunter sees him they hug?? and poor camila has no clue what the fuck to do abt this.
is this man from the cult. is he the cult leader. did HE lock them in the basement for thirteen years. should she be beating him half to death. should she say hi and shake his hands. should she call the police. what the fuck is up with his hair. ?? why is he thanking camila for taking care of them??? is he another cult escapee?????? wait- THE EARS?

Anyone else think about how Amity was the only kid who didn't make some special connection to the human realm?
Willow took up photography and made a scrapbook full of precious memories with her friends. From intimate moments like Amity & Luz on their human world date to silly moments like Hunter getting chased by bees, she took pictures of every moment, labeled each photo, and lovingly framed them with stickers & pressed flowers.
Gus became obsessed with Cosmic Frontier, a sci-fi book series that related to his struggles with being far away from home. He rambled on about it to Hunter and after lending him the book, the two of them became so obsessed with it they raided Camila & Manny's closet for cosplays for Halloween. Gus also made contact with the giraffes, something he listed as a life goal he wanted to accomplish that got him his palisman.
Hunter had an existing interest in sewing that only grew once Camila showed him how to use a sewing machine. He practiced more and more, from making a variety of modifications to people's clothes to making costumes for himself & Gus, and developed pride in his abilities. He also started watching anime (according to Zeno) and he grew such a fascination with wolves he made his own shirt design of them.
Vee leaned hard into learning Spanish and all other kinds of human culture. Sure it started as a necessity to blend in but after her secrets were revealed to Camila she kept at them. Vee happily showed the other kids how to use basic human equipment, kept them safe from harm, and was the star student in their group Spanish lessons.
Meanwhile Amity... Didn't seem to find any special outlets or grow any particular attachments. She was the one that pushed they go exploring on their own, she was so confused with how human realm libraries worked that she accidentally embarrassed herself at one (suggesting she didn't go exploring the library earlier despite how much the one at home means to her), and she didn't showcase any new/existing hobbies that got screentime like the other kids did.
Considering how excited she once was to visit the human realm with Luz, it's interesting that the entire time they were stuck there she was the only one that didn't find something uniquely from there to pass the time with.

Sing Story Board Thoughts!!!
Ok, ok, ok, my friend @stinkyhyena9000 just sent me this and it’s so adorable I love it so much!!
And I have a few thoughts!
One: MARCUS IS SO POLITE I LOVE IT!!!! This isn’t a huge surprise considering the fact that Johnny has manners essentially coming out of his ears, but it’s still so cute that that’s clearly where he got it from.
Two: More slang! We have expanded the use of British slang to now include “love” and I love it. Also Marcus is known for being punctual!! As in, he’s always on time!! That would be a super cute trait to see Johnny have like his dad as well.
Three: MARCUS’S REACTION TO GETTING A PHONE CALL FROM HIS SON IS SO CUTE!!! He’s so happy to hear from him and wants to immediately hear about whatever he’s up to. And instantly tells everyone within earshot that he got a call from him! Marcus is #1 dad of the years right there, love that. And the instant shift in his tone when he realises something is wrong is so realistic!
Four: The fact the show had already been physically scrapped is so much more realistic. Like, with that public of a firing? I wouldn’t be surprised if they had to break in too.
Five: Just Darius on that box. Just.. Darius. That is somehow the most extra thing he would have done all movie.
Six: WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MINDS KEEPS LETTING GUNTER OPERATE HEAVY MACHINERY?!?!?
Seven: The dancers sneaking in through the side door is still perfection because they had to have snuck out to be there. Still sad we don’t see that phone call tho.
Eight: Rosita’s smile at hearing new ideas for her role... it’s heart-melting, I swear.
Nine: Ok, so I’ve talked a bit about how Marcus is always hugging Johnny right? Like, he doesn’t do it with Stan and Barry so it’s clearly like a father-son thing for him. And the fact that the moment he sees Nooshy, Marcus instantly hugs her is the most damning evidence in my opinion of this man just going “Ah yes, another kid. Always wanted one of those!” Like Nooshy was adopting in two frames, no hesitation at all. Hugs=adoption in Sing and no one can convince me otherwise at this point.
Ten: Ryan (my sweet baby, my precious, favourite child) bringing the staffs in!!! Like so, they weren’t in the trash with the rest of the props? Does that mean Klaus had them? Did Ryan legit steal those from Klaus?? I love this boy more and more I swear. He just went “oh well, probably gonna get fired anyway, might as well help Johnny” and I love that for him.

Damn, that's so cute

honestly half the reason i'm so defensive of darius is because he reminds me so much of my mom. the other half is because he's just the perfect character in every way shape and form.

I love how while Darius has the basic decency to not abuse kids, he's still not nice, like he chooses to be a difficult asshole the entire time and it's beautiful.
For example in ASIAS, when Darius had Willow, Gus, Viney, & Skara in custody he didn't bother to tell them he had no intention of turning them into the coven and was gonna let them go. He made the situation worse for the kids and for himself because he needs to be at least a bit of a bastard every hour of the day.
And I can't even tell which personal reasoning he used is funnier:
- He intentionally withheld the information, either in some reverse psychology attempt to inspire rebellion, or to try scaring them into realizing how messed up covens really are before they learned the hard way
Or
- He simply didn't want to waste the time explaining. Just. Planned to keep them separated from their palisman until they got to Hexside, then the second they landed, open the door and tell them to go home, chop-chop, I don't have all day
Both reasons are equally a little cruel, but while one is a misguided attempt to "help", the other is just sheer fucking laziness.
I love this man.
