I think my problem with shadowzel is that I don’t tend to like the version of Shadowheart that’s paired with Lae’zel. Like I can see the idea behind it but most of the fics that do have it as a side pairing obviously tend to portray her rather cold and ruthless herself because that’s how she is with Lae’zel. So a lot of the time she’s just. Mean.

And because Lae’zel’s romance starts really sex heavy they’re always having sex way earlier than Shadowheart’s romance and it makes the sex all mean and vaguely degrading which is fine if you like that but since Shadowheart is portrayed really cold it just feels weird and bad.

I’m sure somewhere out there is a perfect fic that doesn’t hit on all those icks for me but honestly. It’s just going to be a blah ship for me.

#Lae’zel can be really cute!#but it really feels like people ship her with Shadowheart because they’re putting together the spares a little bit #like it’s a easy way to pair them off #I just….#idk man it just doesn’t mesh for me #not when I love soft and squishy Shadowheart the most #their romances don’t really mesh for me either #not like say #Shadowheart and Karlach’s do

actually no I’m not done saying things about the Loki show!! the way it brings together all his themes!!

he starts out hungry for the throne. scheming, supplanting Thor. invading Earth. kneel before your king. your savior is here. burdened with glorious purpose. impersonating Odin and taking the throne of Asgard. casting himself as a dominator like his father. I know what kind of god I need to be. for you. for all of us.

but he loses again and again and his schemes fail to satisfy. he begins to realize the hunger is for something else. I never wanted the throne. I only ever wanted to be your equal. and as his plans unravel he begins to sacrifice himself for others, sometimes in despair, sometimes maybe even for love (for Thor. then, for all the people of Asgard. brother, the sun will shine on us again.).

now he has died too many times and he is a different person. he despises the throne. now he wants only to live, to master his own destiny, to stop being alone. I don’t want a throne. I just want you to be okay.

but everything falls apart. and as time and existence unravel he realizes he is not the schemer he once was. he can’t think of just his own destiny anymore. he can’t leave his friends to die. and so in their moment of need he gives up everything he wanted, the freedom to write his own story, so they can have it.

Everyone is scared because now there are dinosaurs and they don't look very friendly, but you manage to befriend all of them and now you are the queen of dinos. You were about to confess to Sanji again, but before he can answer you get interrupted again, because Luffy got swallowed by one of your dinos, cuz he was trying to eat it. Now you have to plan a funeral for Luffy and you don't think the day could get any worse, but before you know it another meteor hits and all life on the planet is dead.

I know it's very cliché, but it would make me happy if you could take time out od your day and push everything aside to write a fic for a random person you don't know
