Running fingers through their hair 🤍

ft. wriothesley, alhaitham and neuvillette.

synopsis : you convince them into playing with their hair and you end up taking undue advantage of it.

warnings : implied fem!reader, pet names, mention of murder and suicide (neuvillette – no there is no angst here.).

a/n : fluff but seriously hair is so floof in genshin and i love me some domesticated content.

ALHAITHAM 🌱

"No." He crossed his arms in disapproval at your request.

"Haitham! Come on!" You begged your husband to let you run your fingers through his hair in hopes to help him unwind and relax but he was adamant not letting you.

"I am sorry [Name], but I have a meeting due in an hour with the Dendro Archon about some administrative changes and as much as I would love to catch a break, I can't as of now." He exasperated, voice laced with annoyance.

Ever since becoming the Acting Grand Sage, Alhaitham had gotten just a tad bit more whinier. You weren't complaining since Alhaitham had the emotional quotient of a rock.

"Oh come on! It's still an hour away. C'mere." You patted your lap. He sighed but agreed. You found yourself combing your nifty fingers through his grey locks. They felt soft to touch. Who are you kidding, he was a well groomed gentleman despite his emotionally constipated personality.

His eyes were focused on a book he was reading, his eyes scanning the pages but his expression was relaxed. He won't admit it but he liked it. This was a simple yet intimate gesture.

You on the other hand, stared outside of the window, fingers still running through his hair. The scenery of Sumeru city stretched out far and wide for your eyes to see. The sky was beaming with light, birds were chit chatting on the tree branches and–

Snore.

Your focus gets redirected back at Alhaitham who now had the book resting on his face, his chest rising rhythmically as you heard him breathing softly.

You chuckled at the sight. He really did fall asleep. He looked so carefree when a moment ago he was complaining about meetings and work. How amusing. An idea bubbled up in your head.

When Alhaitham woke up, he realised that he had fallen asleep and hurried out of the room to meet up with Nahida in the Sanctuary of Surasthana.

"Good evening Acting Grand Sage, I was just waiting on you- pfft!" Nahida's cheeks puffed up and the little Archon started giggling.

"I am sorry for being late- wait, why are you laughing?" He tilted his expression in confusion. Could his late timing be a matter of amusement for his Archon?

"Who made two tiny ponytails in your hair using sparkly pink pyro slime hairties!" Nahida chuckled more, unable to hold her laughter.

"..." he reached up to feel the two tiny fountains of hair made by tying them up. Who could've done such a— you.

Needles to say, Alhaitham image of a big mighty serious guy in front of Nahida had now been ruined.

NEUVILLETTE 🌊

"Ma Chérie, what do you think of this case?" Neuvillette leaned back into his chair, papers spread out on his table. You picked up one of the documents and examined them.

What made you and Neuvillette a match made in heaven was that you were one of Fontaine's best lawyers and Neuvillette was the Ludex. You both would brainstorm cases together though Neuvillette always tended to quote how he is unbiased as it is his duty as the Chief Justice to not let personal feelings get in the way.

Still, you catch him staring at you during court proceedings, expression twisting and turning based on the situation out of his instinctive concern for you.

"Well, I think this is a classic murder which is being displayed to the common eye like a suicide." You sighed and put the paper back on the table, stretching your back from fatigue.

"I must say, that's quite a possibility. I'd suggest you investigate futher and seek the truth." He pondered, his gloved hand resting on his chin.

"Neuvi, can we take a break? I am tired." You slumped down in the chair across him, exhausting from the repetitive task at hand.

"Indeed. Repetition tends to tire out the mortal brain. Let's continue this after lunch." He nodded and started to sort the papers according to there designated folders.

"Can I play with your hair till you get the sorting papers thing done?" You asked him and he seemed amused at the idea. Neuvillette was never reluctant from trying out new things and gave into your small pleasures if they made you happy. "Sure."

You ran your fingers through his white locks. Honestly his hair were so beautiful, it would put women's hair to shame. Neuvillette took good care of them. You started using this opportunity to experiment different hairstyles on him.

Neuvillette glanced up, only to see his hair in a braid from his reflection in the mirror with a black ribbon in them. He stared at the braid for a good minute, "Hmm simple, practical and elegant. It's quite nice." He mused.

You were proud of yourself before Neuvillette asked if he could try hairstyles on you.

An afternoon spent with chuckles, smiles, whacky and pretty hairstyles.

WRIOTHESLEY 🧊

You watched as Wriothesley worked like a machine.

Step 1 : Grab the paperwork

Step 2 : Read and Sign it

Step 3 : Put in the "done" pile

The sounds of paper swiping and pen scribbling filled the room. You tried to entertain yourself with some novel but you could hear wriothesley grunted and groaning in annoyance.

"Y'know, the best thing is to simply not to do the work if you don't feel like it, wrio." You suggested, flipping to the next page in the novel.

"You're right. I'll settle for a nap, drink tea after I get up and then continue doing this..." he grumbled before getting up and making his way to his bed upstairs. You afte a few minutes got up and followed him.

You both laid beside eachother, under the blankets, soaking in eachother's warmth. "You joinin' me on a nap, sweetheart?" A smile crawled onto his face as he looked at you with his icy hues.

"No, I am simply here to take care of you, silly." You kissed his nose as he took your palm firmly in his and kissed the back of it, endearingly. You peppered his face with feather kisses, tousling his soft black locks earning a relaxed hum of content from him.

Wriothesley was a man of limited needs and such small moments with you were his saving grace from the buttload of prison paper work. His arm snaked around your waist as he kissed the top of your forehead before his hand rested on your cheeks, his eyes fluttering shut.

He yawned and made himself comfortable before drifting off into his well deserved nap.

But..

"Oh my god, you are associated with Sigewinne in this??" He baffled at the sight of his face covered in stickers. Melusines loved to play pranks but his own lover? Now that was some serious betrayal.

"First my back and now my face?" He stared at you, jaw dropped, wanting an explanation. You simply stifled a laugh before hearing a click.

"Sigewinne, did you just take a picture of me?? HEY! Don't run away!? [Name]! Sigewinne! You guys better delete that picture!" He chased after you two as you ran with Sigewinne in your arms. It was a moment of solace and perhaps another moment added in your archive of memories.

Ayato doesn't mind when you annoy him out of nowhere as long as it's you. He doesn't even think that you're annoying him, he thinks that you're just giving him the enough attention that he wants and deserve and he loved that side of you.

He may be working but you're always his top priority, he still wants to try his best to not make you feel lonely whenever he does. When his work is over he'd find you first and give you a kiss just like when you find him and annoy him out of nowhere.

Diluc wants to focus on his work first but that doesn't mean he doesn't like it when you annoy him out of nowhere. He gives you a little kiss on your cheeks and tells you that you both can all be lovey-dovey only AFTER his work. He's fighting for his life trying not to be clingy when he's working.

He loves it when you come out of nowhere, he can't help but kiss you when you do. No matter how busy he is, if he sees you he'll immediately greet you with a kiss just to show you how much he loves you.

: ̗̀➛ KAEYA

Kaeya loves it when you come out of nowhere just to annoy him, he thinks it's cute and compliments you when you do. It looks like he's just being flirty but he loves it when you can't stop talking and you annoy him. Kaeya knows how to balance work and you, so he doesn't really mind you being around trying to annoy him when he works.

He'll listen to your rants and compliments while working and he will never complain when you're around him. This man loves you no matter what you do and would always put you first more than anything else.

: ̗̀➛ CHILDE

Childe would always say "baby, we can't I'm still working." Because he thinks that you want to do something with him. Basically, he thinks that you want to make out until his work ends, but you'd tell him you just wanted to annoy him because he looked serious whenever he is working.

He tries his best not to get distracted by you but sometimes you're just too funny that he'll start talking and admire you, completely forgetting about his work. You'd remind him of his work but there are just times where he wants to focus and admire only you.

: ̗̀➛ ALHAITHAM

Alhaitham may have told you many times to stop annoying him out of nowhere because he has a lot of work to do and he wants to finish it before giving all his self to you but sometimes you get so bored that you'll come out of nowhere just to be noisy and annoy him at the same time.

He shuts you up by kissing you for a few minutes, most of the time you're too stunned that you get quiet for hours remembering how his lips tasted like. He smirks whenever he sees you quiet as he continues to do his work.

: ̗̀➛ XIAO

Xiao doesn't let you see him during his work, which is to patrol around and conquer demons. You would always end up hurting yourself just so he would show up out of nowhere and kill the monsters you invaded. When he does you'd give him the biggest hug telling him you missed him despite meeting him every 5 minutes because you couldn't control yourself and want him every second.

He sighed but he knows you're doing it on purpose just to annoy him and he can't stop himself but to come and save you like any other superheroes. Sometimes he thinks you're doing him a favor because he's starting to miss you the way you miss him, he will always love you either way.

: ̗̀➛ KAVEH

Kaveh would end up talking to you the time when he's working. You're too noisy and annoying and he doesn't want to make you feel like you're getting ignored so despite his busy schedule as an architect, he'll talk to you and you both would always end up laughing at each other.

Kaveh would do his work any other time when you're sleeping or when you have no battery left inside you. He wants to finish fast just so he can take you outside to date and have fun together as a couple.

Table for Two pt2 (Alhaitham x reader)

A/N: Part 1 here! Thank you for the support on the first part, I loved reading your comments and notes in the reblogs! Honestly restraining myself from making this a full blown series because I love his boobs- I mean his character.

Warnings: acts of service as Alhaitham's love language, not proofread yet, slight ooc Alhaitham? Alternatively titled Table for Five

It hasn't been long since your date with Alhaitham. In fact it's been two hours.

"(Y/n)- Can you believe it? (Y/n)! In the same darshan as me. He could have said something! I know them!" Kaveh complained to himself as he went on with his day.

"Oh whatever- I bet you they're having a date in the desert studying ancient runes knowing how romantic he is, hahahaha!" Kaveh chortled, barely making any sense with his laughter covering his words.

Meanwhile...

"Ah, thank you Alhaitham. Apologies again, I didn't mean to drag you out for this long." you say dusting the rocks and sand off your clothes.

"No need to apologize. I also got something out of this trip." he replies. After your little date at Puspa Cafe- which by the way, had you so nervous that Alhaitham realized and tried calming you by telling you about himself and asking about your interests- Alhaitham offers to walk you back home, until you told him you weren't going back home.

You had an assignment that had you going to the desert to study the architecture of the inside of the dunes. Alhaitham insisted on going with you in case of any monsters. So here he is now with you. "What's important is that you've gotten everything you need."

"I do, thank you." you say beaming with a sigh, happy that you were finally done. You sit and collect your things, putting them back into your bag. "We should probably get out of here quickly." you state, not wanting either of you to be in any danger. He nods but stays in place for a second and you don't move either, waiting to see what he wants to say.

"Do you need to sit down and take the sand out of your shoes?" he says while sitting down himself and taking the sand out of his own boots.

"No I'm okay." you say with a smile. And to be honest you are. With things like your woodworking projects, you barely have time to think about things in your shoes that you've gotten used to it. Alhaitham looks at you with his eyes slitted, saying as if he didn't believe you. Suddenly he comes in front of you where you're sitting, bends down, and gestures to your legs.

You're not sure if Alhaitham is aware of how oddly intimate this is to you. How he bends down as you sit, how he holds your ankle, how he carefully takes off your shoe and puts it back on... He's like royalty- a knight or a prince, you think. Though an untraditional one, but it's not like you mind.

"There. You've been standing this whole time while doing your drawings and notes. It doesn't hurt to stop and get comfortable again." he informs you while standing back up.

"I'll keep that in mind, thank you..." you say shyly, not knowing that he was paying attention. Definitely not as robotic as other scholars say. And maybe you take back your thought from before, that he was a prince. Because now he's making you feel like royalty instead. With that you both stand up and walk back to Sumeru City.

It was late by the time you two arrive in the city. It was starting to get dark, except for the street lights and taverns that are still illuminated until even later. There are still students going home late, tavern workers still up and employees cleaning the city grounds.

"Thank you again Alhaitham, for today." There's a slight pause before you said today. There were a lot of things you wanted to thank him for.

"You're welcome." he says. You saw that he was about to bid you goodbye, but you wanted to stop him for something first.

"Ah- wait, I have something to tell you." you say quietly, your hand waving as a gesture for him to come closer. You breathe in and mentally tell yourself to calm your fast beating heart. Once he bent down to your height, you rise to his and give him a quick kiss on the cheek. Alhaitham's eyes widen a little as he was not expecting that at all. And as your cheeks grow warm, you notice the small smirk forming on his lips.

"Is this your way of telling me you're not intimidated by me anymore?" he asks slyly. He seems to be getting even closer to you, so you start slowly backing up.

"W-Well I did that to thank you for what you did for me today, but I guess that too..." you mumbled the last part. To be honest you didn't think of what Alhaitham said as your intention, but in a way it does make sense. Eventually you end up backed up on the wall next to your house, and the moment you notice is the moment Alhaitham's arm comes up and cages your head, leaving no way for you to escape.

"Just tell me if you feel uncomfortable..." he says softly. In a swift motion, he uses his index and thumb of his right hand to hold your chin and turn your head towards him. He brings you closer and closes the gap by softly pressing his lips against yours. It takes you by surprise. It was a short kiss, just a peck, but Alhaitham did that purposely to not fluster you too much.

"Alhaitham..." you say his name softly as you both pull away.

"Was it okay?" he whispers, looking deep into your eyes. You manage to let out an mhm, and he nods. "I'm glad." He has a once-in-a-blue-moon tiny smile as he says that, and pulls away, letting you finally breathe in your spot. "You don't need to thank me for these things." he says answering your statement from before. You make a noise of approval, but you honestly don't really mean it because you do feel like thanking him.

"Remember, you can come find me whenever you're finished your projects." You smile at how formal his responses sound sometimes, but you're starting to get used to knowing what he means.

"Okay then..." you say with a breathless smile. And maybe Teyvat is an upside-down world, because once you both say your goodbyes, Alhaitham goes home head buried in his book- not to read, but to hide any possible smiles that break out. You on the other hand, didn't even do anything to stop yours.

"The House of Daena."

"Oh marvelous guess~" Kaveh muses to the General Mahamatra. Originally Kaveh came to the tavern to join Cyno and Tighnari's TCG match, however the topic became something a lot more interesting so the cards were ditched.

"I thought you would have said Pardis Dhyai." says Cyno to the forest ranger chief. "Because they have a budding romance." Tighnari lets out a groan. "Get it? Since-"

"Speaking ill about me again?" Alhaitham says while arriving to the table, and sits down.

"Oh you're here." Cyno says as he sees the Scribe arriving to the table. And just in time... Tighnari thinks as Alhaitham's arrival has delayed the explanation of another terrible joke. Alhaitham nods his head as a greeting and takes a seat.

"He was busy removing the sand off his lips." Kaveh teases in a cheeky tone. Tighnari stifles his laughter with his hand as a smirk breaks out on Cyno's face. Alhaitham doesn't say anything to feed into it, though he couldn't help but wonder why he said "sand".

"Where is (y/n)?" asks Tighnari. Alhaitham's eyes sharpen for a moment, and Tighnari realizes he may have come off as nosy and quickly corrects himself. "I don't mean to pry, Kaveh just said they'd be here."

"I- well I don't suppose you'd do the honors of introducing them to us?" Kaveh crosses his arms as if he was the victim of the situation. Alhaitham sends a glare at the architect.

"No. How do you know about them anyway?"

"I heard from a few scholars who saw your little smooch with MY junior." From the emphasis on the "my", it was apparent that Kaveh was more offended that the answer was right under his nose rather than the real gossip circulating. Alhaitham then realizes he was right- he did kiss you on the cheek outside the Akademiya... "So where did you take them?"

"Would you perhaps need some flowers for next time?" Tighnari offers.

"Yes flowers! And maybe a nice view..."

"Did you hold their hand?"

"Alhaitham how can you kiss and not tell??" And it's exactly that way. Alhaitham is bombarded with questions from all of them... but he doesn't intend on answering. They don't need to know the details, he decides.

"Maybe they can join us next time." Cyno suggests. "A table for five."

"You mean a table for six. We'll need an extra chair for Alhaitham's big head."

"Make that four to exclude you and your big mouth."

"Ha-ha very funny Alhaitham. I think you ought to resign from your position as the Scribe and become a clown instead."

"Or I'll order a table for three while the two of you will be sitting in a time out corner." Tighnari orders, almost resembling a mother. The Scribe and the architect roll their eyes at each other.

"I don't need any of your help." Alhaitham says going back to the original questions. with his arms crossed. There is an awkward pause where the men fidget with their drinks, afraid they've struck a nerve.

"But flowers would be nice..." Alhaitham mumbles while looking away. The three give him a soft smile, and Tighnari nods. They knew they each had their differences with Alhaitham, but they realized the slight change in his attitude so they put them aside.

They decide to resume their lively gossip before all this about debating who would be the ugliest fungi while playing Genius Invokation TCG. Alhaitham also offers his rational opinions which as usual make the others groan in confusion, but it's nothing they are opposed to.

But the four men at the tavern table were thinking the same thing. Alhaitham was the smallest bit touched when they seemed to express interest in helping him. He may seem aloof but he did feel like they truly wanted to meet you and make you feel included in their talks.

Romance is not usually the topic of their discussions, so when the Scribe out of all of them was the first to bring that to the table, of course they'd want to support him. Not that any of them would admit it though.

Bonus:

"So... where did you take them?" Kaveh says trying to get more juicy details from his roommate as they walk home from the tavern.

"We went to Puspa Cafe." he says in his usual monotone voice. Kaveh gasps as this somehow surprises him.

"Puspa Cafe- well I guess we were all wrong." Kaveh says laughing to himself.

"What do you mean by that?" Alhaitham sends him a glare.

"Oh, we placed bets on your date location." Kaveh admits the jokes he shared with Tighnari and Cyno before Alhaitham's arrival. "Your office, the House of Daena and your house."

"I'm not that heartless." Alhaitham scoffs.

"I know." Kaveh says reassuring him. "Well, no matter. You came to the tavern late, so I'm assuming you had a good time, right?" And Alhaitham hates that Kaveh sounds genuine yet is trying to tease him as he asks the last part. But Kaveh already knows the answer, and he can tell because of the silence his roommate gives him as they enter their house. So he smiles and leaves him alone... well not entirely.

"By the way, you'd definitely be the ugliest fungi."

Kaveh x fem!reader

Description: Kaveh, your best friend, has been crushing on you since your school days. Alhaitham had enough of him ranting about you so he pushes Kaveh to confess.

A/N: OKAY SO, it's been a while. My school year is almost ending and I finally have some motivation. (Definitely didn't have a wheel decide this for me...) Enjoy!!!

Does Kaveh like you? That's an understatement, he loves you. For how long? Longer than he could imagine. He first thought that you were just nice to him, nothing special. So he returned the favour, because that's what friends do, right? He then started falling for how sweet and beautiful you are. He brushed the thought off, thinking that it was just a silly crush. But he started getting jealous when other scholars flirted with you. He started thinking about you 24/7. He started day dreaming about you. Kaveh knew that he didn't just like you, you were his everything. You understood him so well, better than anyone else could.

Alhaitham groaned as he listened to Kaveh complain. "And he even winked at her!!" Kaveh practically yelled from across the table. Alhaitham rolled his eyes, not putting his book down. "Worst part is, she blushed! She blushed!! Do you know what that means?!" Kaveh was telling Alhaitham about the events earlier that morning. Long story short, a store owner was flirting with you. "Hey, are you even listening??" Kaveh asked in an annoyed tone. Alhaitham put his book down and looked at Kaveh seriously. "Kaveh, she was just flustered. Anyone can blush at that, even if they don't like the person." Alhaitham sighed. "Just confess to her already." Kaveh's eyes widened at Alhaitham's suggestion. "No! What if she rejects me?" "What if she doesn't?" Kaveh slumped in his chair. Fine, he'll confess.

As you were doing your paperwork, you received a message from Kaveh.

'Hey, can we have dinner later? I want to hang out with you!'

You smiled and picked up your phone and replied with a short: 'Sure! I'll see you there at 6 pm.'

A few hours went by and you decided to get dressed for your meet up with Kaveh. You picked a simple outfit (I'll leave this to your imagination.) Kaveh on the other hand was panicking. How was he going to confess? What will he do if you say if you didn't feel the same way? Alhaitham tried to calm him down and reassure him. (It didn't work.) Kaveh rushed to the restaurant 10 minutes before the agreed time. He waited a few minutes and when he heard your soft voice calling out to him, he couldn't help but feel giddy yet nervous at the same time.

"Kaveh!!" You said sweetly before sitting down across from him.

"Miya, wow... You look... Great." He smiled shyly. A thin tension is felt in the air as you both stayed silent for a while. He finally speaks up, clearing his throat. "So, let's order? I'll pay this time." He took two menus and gave one to you. "Am I dreaming or are you actually going to pay?" You laughed before opening the menu. "I'm kidding. Anyways... I'll have pasta. How about you?" Kaveh blushed a bit at your teasing before answering. "I'll have steak." The waiter soon comes and collects your orders.

The next few minutes were filled with you two laughing and catching up with each other. The nervousness and anxiety he had earlier was now gone as he was more comfortable. The food was given to you both and it was delicious. The restaurant light glowed a faint yellow, setting a calm and somewhat romantic mood. You two talked more about work, the past, and other useless stuff.

"Oh, it's getting late now." You glanced at your watch. "You're right. How about I walk you home?" Kaveh offered. You nodded and smiled. You both stood up and gathered your stuff. As you two were walking to your house, you notice him being a bit more silent than usual.

"Are you alright, Kaveh?" You stopped walking on the sidewalk. Kaveh sighed before turning to you. "I can only do this now, so I have to make it worth it. I love you, Y/N... I've loved you for so long now. Your hair, your smile, your kindness, your eyes, your lips... Everything about you is so intoxicating in the best way." Kaveh's confession caused you to slightly open your mouth in surprise. "Kaveh..." Before you could finish talking, he intreupted you. "It's okay if you don't feel the same way. I just had to tell you..." You grabbed his hands and held them in such a soft and secure way that it made him feel so safe. "I love you too. I just never told you because... I was scared... And I-" Kaveh intreupted you once more, but this time not with words but with a soft kiss.

There you both were, holding each other passionately and lovingly in the dim light of the street lamp. How perfect~

● I am a multi-shipper, multi-RPer, and can juggle multiple RP's at a time. If I am overwhelmed I will say so. If you reach out with something interested and we both agree on it I'm down to give it a shot.

● Willing to RP with canon character's and OC's built into the canon. If you are interested in doing an alternative universe we'll have to talk more in depth (modern, medieval, futuristic, etc).

Real life comes first ; ● If you are pestering me about responding I will have to remind you that I am a human being with responsibilities (asking is fine, complaining is not). ● I work long hours, (10+) so you will see me at odd times throughout the day, because of this I appear flighty, but I promise you work is demanding my attention.

Preferred roleplay partners ; ● I love all forms of interaction. It does not need to be an attempt at romance. I try to stay nearly true to form for Alhaitham, but I am not completely canon compliant. ● On that note, I love Kaveh's. Though I am particular to ones more true to his actual personality. I do like Kaveh's that Alhaitham can dote on, but mischaracterization is not why I fell for these characters. A little bit of OOC is alright, but within moderation. ● That being said, Kaveh ♡ ● That does not mean any other's are off limits for possible romantic interaction, and fun non-romantic roleplays are always a bonus. Just to name a few: Cyno, Dehya, Scara, Kaeya, Yelan, Xiao, Childe, etc. The list is long. As long as there is a chance for banter I am all for it.

More Information ; ● I am comfortable with nsfw content. Though because of Alhaitham being... Alhaitham, it'll take a while to get him there for more saucy activities. ● My default Alhaitham is canon current as of 01/20/2024. Unless they add new content for Sumeru, he's a silly man being silly at home.
