man. Thinking about Charlie being the one to push so hard for peace. While Cellbit is pushing to win even at the expense of those around him. Something something cellbit isnt even bothering with trying to keep peace. hes disillusioned. He's tried it already and it didn't work.

Meanwhile Charlie has been through the absolute wringer. He lost his daughter he lost his spouse he lost everything. But he was able to work through it because people helped him. He has experience with peace. With community. He knows how powerful it can be.

Cellbit didn't get that in prison.

They're both just working with what they know. And you can really see it here

so has anyone else given any thought to what all the constant tea-drinking has done to the islanders? like what sort of effect it's had on them? not physically speaking (though thats definitely a really interesting avenue to pursue) but mentally

like. will any of them be able to drink tea ever again? will they be able to enjoy it? there are so so many memories associated with it now. two weeks worth of friend-killing and they were drinking tea through it all. they were chugging it during pvp. surely that has to twist their relationship with it? like, the mental association. there are foods i cant eat without thinking of home and other foods i cant get down because of bad memories associated with them. i have to imagine that sort of pain/discomfort has to be magnified tenfold here

tina discovered the tea strat because she wanted to make it for bagi. because bagi loves tea, and tina loves bagi. there's so much love behind it all and its so tainted now

Before the event, I just wanna say this pre-event ritual we did with the road trip? Fantastic. This might be the most fun I've ever had in a fandom. Like we made playlists! We had a bus! The way dean’s character completely changes in season 8 and it’s like never acknowledged

Can you imagine s14 dean saying s2 dean’s lines?

I saw interview once with Eric kripke and he basically said something along the lines of “dean’s core is a sad child” and it really struck me.

Dean in the early seasons (while yes, violent and a Hunter and a million other things) is so gentle with other people. With Sam and with Jo especially. He has a hard shell but the soft centre is easy to see and I feel like that just gets lost in season 8

It’s like he still has dean’s personality but none of his vulnerability

It’s like a caricature of him and it’s so upsetting

#it comes out occasionally like s8 finale and the show finale especially have those ‘im putting away my bravado because I can’t bare to lose #you or you lose me and not know how much you mean to me’ moments #but the early seasons those happened every episode or so!!!!#he had such a big heart! everything he does is for love!!!#which feels real to say about 1-7 but empty to say for later on :(#he was just so gentle with everyone! and I love him and I miss him #I guess the canon reason is that purgatory changed him but I still miss him :(#hopefully this all makes sense I don’t read over anything I post from my mobile sorry :)
