yknow if you were mentally ill and watched the stageplays over and over far too much to count adachi's change in demeanor in the gas station comedy skit from literally the rest of the entire show would make you laugh so hard as if you choked from eating a cracker. he has his own silly funny guy facade right? he has an accent and contracts his speech to seem more casual outgoing and stupid right? he walks like this he talks like this he waves his arms specifically like this. but suddenly he meets this guy who pushed all his buttons before he even got out of his car and he decided to throw all that out of the window. he left his accent behind (mostly) he stopped stiffly moving his legs he stopped flailing his arms in whatever direction. he dropped the "boku" "kimi" "-san" "-kun" he looked at this other clown who held up a pump nozzle to his face and didn't even know how to do his own job he was hired for and went "ore" "omae" "baka" . for five minutes he decided to go "fuck this guy in particular" and never pulled the same stunt ever again even when he was outed for being a killer

Tumblr media Tumblr media
✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮
Tumblr media
💗 So in case if you wonder what's a guiding planet, it's like a guide in your life and a specific planet to help you out with whatever you need 💗
💗 So in order to find your guiding planet you need to look in your birth chart and follow the next things:
Find the location of your sun sign 💗
Find in which house your sun sign is 💗
Find the closest planet who are behind your Sun 💗
If you have Planets conjunct your Sun look at the one with the tightest orb 💗
💗 It's important to look behind your Sun placement if you have Sun in the 6th house look at the planets before the 6th house (5th, 4th, 3rd, etc)
💗 As astro.com confirms look behind your Sun placement, unless there are planets conjunct your Sun💗
Tumblr media
💗 Here are some examples:
If you have Sun in your 12th house look at the houses who are before the 12th house (11th, 10h, 9th) it needs to be close to Sun though
If you have Planets conjunct Sun look at closest one fx Mars at 1° conjunct Sun and Uranus at 9° conjunct Sun at 10°, Uranus wins because it's close to the sun
If you have Sun at 5°, Venus at 3° and Neptune at 10° fx conjuncting eachother which one is the closest to Sun? Venus is 💗
💗If you want to read about your guiding planet after you find out what it means here are some short examples:
Mercury guiding planet - Guiding about communication/expression, intelligence, the way you think, learning about doing it your own way
Venus guiding planet - Guiding about love, find love within yourself and learn how to give love to others, about relationships, what importance does love has in your life?
Jupiter guiding planet - Expanding yourself, learn about yourself, it can help you to discover your own faith/religion, guiding about what makes you to be happy
Mars guiding planet - Guiding about believing more in yourself, in your powers, having more confidence, standing in your own power guiding about how to reach the top
Neptune guiding planet - Guidning about your subconscious, your mind, your dreams, guiding about the way you see the world
Uranus guiding planet - Trusting your idea/ideals, your creativity, guiding about what makes you feel unique
Moon guiding planet - Learning about your feelings/emotions. Guiding your soul, guiding the emotional side of you, guiding about attachment
Pluto guiding planet - Stand up, guiding about rebirth, your own power, your evolution, the way you experience, guiding about letting go the toxic side/toxic ones
Saturn guiding planet - Setting boundaries and valuing yourself, letting people go, Saturn guides with a lot of precaution and patience, teaching and being wise, mature since young
✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮✮
~ Let your soul experience ~
When your soul does something they like, it will send messages to you instantly, like feeling happy when you do something, experiencing goosebumps, being happy for no reason, it will be a good feeling through your whole body and i think is amazing the way our souls experience things in life, the soul is the most precious thing we as humans have 💗💗💗

god ok I’ve been reading aella’s public substack. I have a lot of faith in her expertise bc she’s a polyamorous slut who also worked as a camgirl and an escort. she’s also a spreadsheet nerd, and her surveys about kinks and taboos have gone viral, so she has a lot of data to work with. She’s also saying the most bonkers shit
I loved the idea that there were strategies men could use to make me want to have sex with them. I really wanted to have sex, but often had this stupid gatekeeper thing in my brain that would shut down and prevent me from getting sex. Teaching men to do a magical series of moves that would manage to circumvent my gatekeeper and help get me laid was a wonderful thing, and I advised my male friends to try it.
I view sex as a success for both of us, and thus seduction is a collaborative activity. We both want the same thing: to get around my annoying brain gatekeeper that got installed there by eons of evolution that doesn’t understand birth control and is trying to evaluate if you’re worthy of impregnating me. So please—use seduction techniques on me. Roleplay as an alpha male well enough to trick my vagina into believing that your cum will give me alpha sons.
Like??? Ok, to be fair, she specified at the beginning that this series of posts was for straight men who were into women who bottom, so this isn’t supposed to apply to me. But are straight women really out here living like this????
I guess if you have a horrible monkey on your back that works against your own interest in sex, then it’s useful to view seduction as instrumental, a useful tool. I do agree with/enjoy the idea of seduction as collaborative. But fuck dude, have you considered getting rid of the monkey?
Maybe I’m too hot for this post. Actually getting laid is easy. Seduction is just something fun to do while you’re still hanging out at the bar.

(ID: A screenshot of tags that read "#Prev what are some alternatives to the word primitive that are less derogatory" /end ID.)
@panicdeleter I'm responding to your question on a new post so that the op of the original doesn't get this in their notes because answering in good faith is going to take a lot of explanation.
Short answer: there isn't one.
Long answer: as you say in your tags, "primitive" is a derogatory term with a very loaded meaning. Removing it from your vocabulary is less a matter of finding a more PC alternative, and more a matter of understanding why it's derogatory and changing your perception of what's being discussed. To do that, we're going to have to look at archaeological theory for a minute. Stick with me, I do have suggestions at the end.
Archaeological theory is a complicated subject and there's no way I'm going to try to summarize all of it in a Tumblr post since it's a topic arch programs devote at least a semester (if not longer) to. So we'll focus on the relevant bits.
Essentially, in the bad old days when archaeology was starting to become a discipline instead of a thing rich dudes did on the weekends, there was this idea that certain European societies were the peak of civilization and everywhere else was less evolved and therefore primitive. It was based on the misunderstanding of the theory of evolution that was common at the time. Like so:
Tumblr media
(ID: a diagram drawn in pen. It's titled "Ye Olde Arch/Anth Theory TM". The next line says "Primitive = simple, less evolved, bad". Below it there is a vertical arrow pointing down, with the words "one way line" next to it. Under the arrow there is a line of text reading "Advanced = complex, most evolved, good". /end ID.)
These early archaeologists believed that all of humanity lived on a hierarchy with the "advanced" societies they lived in (and their ancestors like Ancient Greece) at the top and all the "primitive" past and current societies (destined to either become like them or die out eventually) at the bottom.
It's been a long road for archaeological theory. The 20th century was fraught with theoretical movements and debates that sometimes literally devolved into fistfights. But eventually we all ended up more or less here:
Tumblr media
(ID: A hand drawn diagram in a similar format to the one above. It's titled "Arch Theory Today (Short Version). Below the title there is a single line of text centred around a horizontal line with arrows at both ends. The left side of the arrow reads "simple" while the right side reads "complex". The line itself is labeled "continuum or spectrum". /end ID.)
While you'll still find some archaeologists who disagree, the main consensus appears to at least be on the same page that instead of the old primitive vs advanced hierarchy, societies exist on a spectrum that ranges in complexity. In the most basic terms, because I'm glossing over A LOT of nuance here, hunter gatherer societies tend towards the simple end of the spectrum while big state societies are on the more complex end. This is not meant as a value judgement of these societies, but merely an attempt to classify them so other people have a frame of reference for what you're talking about. Even so, there's considerable debate about the language used for certain terms and societies, and I am not necessarily qualified to go into that in this post.
I say all that to help you understand why I can't give you a catch-all term to replace "primitive", because if one did exist it would be just as derogatory. In certain contexts there may be more appropriate words that you can use, such as simple (as in the case of the meme that inspired this post) or old. But a lot of the time an alternative just doesn't exist because we are not better or 'more evolved' than our ancestors any more than people living in big state societies are any better than people still living as hunter gatherers.
I know this has been a very long post, but I really am just scratching the surface here. For more information I suggest looking at podcasts like The Dirt or A Life In Ruins, youtube channels like The Welsh Viking or Archaeology Tube, or the blogs of any of my fellow dirt lovers here on Tumblr like @chaotic-archaeologist, @micewithknives, @art-thropologist, @archaeologistproblems, and @rhysintherain to name just a few. Archaeologists are generally a bunch of nerds who will take any opportunity they can to talk about the human past, and we rarely bite.

Collective Reading
Tumblr media
There’s a dream or goal that’s attached to your imagination. You could be hoping that something’s pays off or goes through and you’re needing to keep holding onto that faith but don’t lose yourself in it find the necessary balance that you need to keep yourself grounded & stabile. There’s a masculine energy that’s coming towards you with a stable offer/ opportunity… the letter “O” is significant. For others this may be a father or grandfather… 1111 is confirmation. April 4th and 11th is significant too. I also see a celebration maybe someone’s father/ grandfather could be celebrating a birthday but I definitely see a gift being handed to someone.. this could also be an ancestor as well. Speaking of ancestors, I see tapping into or is wanting to get to know their ancestry and may even dabble into some things 👀. Heavy energy around planting seeds and roots. Some of you could be wondering where your roots/ foundation come from.. I’m hearing indigenous. Someone could be picking out an outfit for something for others I see someone picking out offerings or maybe wanting to know offerings to get/ choose especially if it’s food. Some of you may work with herbs or the energy of the earth or your ancestors were herbalists, shamans I’m also picking up on scrying. Something with gold or copper offering bowls are significant. The number 13 is significant along with the moon. No more suffering, no more pain… you have a clear path. Once you stop worrying and start trusting the path that you’re on, you’ll begin to receive. Your mind is too cluttered, release guilt, anger or whatever it is that’s keeping you in your head… I kept hearing “clearing” or “clear”. Crows and the letter “C” is significant too. After every disappointment there’s always something new on the other side. Stop being so hard on yourself and start expressing yourself.. it’s giving “just do it”. There’s many things that you’re changing and switching and spirit is also doing this as well. You’re no longer needing to strategize and have every in order or a certain but you will need to just relax and enjoy the ride and the journey. Set yourself free from limiting beliefs because you’re limitless and entitled to everything why? Because the world is your oyster. Many of you have elevated or made this conscious decision to do this. Someone could be a lawyer or judge or may go into profession or a marriage counselor, pope/ pastor. Something about wedding or wedding reception.. you could be singing at someone’s wedding… I keep hearing “concession stand” 😂. Some of you could be mediators or negotiators, could be winning a case as well or helping someone or others to do this. Whatever it may be, it’ll bring all of supporters and followers. Someone could be breaking from challenges especially if it’s addictions, I’m getting more so smoking and drinking. Someone may even be celebrating their celibacy or sobriety. You’re facing danger with a smile on your face, you’re no longer allowing yourself to YOU back. You’re no longer afraid challenges and obstacles but instead you’re more than ready and prepared to face them. For others, someone may be finding out that the grass wasn’t greener on the other side. Someone took a leap of faith only to met with dry land beneath them. For some of you, you could be tired of feeling this way but best believe there’s a new cycle that you’re already in or already in that’s bringing MANY much needed changes, evolution, and transformation.. the number 13 is confirmation. You could be feeling very tired lately & it’s because you’re closing old cycles and entering new ones and best believe you’re also shifting maybe in your sleep too!

Otto: if rhaenyra succeeds viserys, she will put your [alicent’s] children to the sword
The only person in the show who want to kill innocent children was otto himself “it is unsavory, yes but a sacrifice we must make to secure aegon's ascension […] lord commander Westerling, take your knights to dragonstone, be quick and be clean”. Otto wanted to make a massacre of a whole family, and the council agreed with him; on the other hand rhaenyra, nor in the book or in the show, never wanted or proposed the death of her half brothers and half sister.
Alicent: The prince Lucerys brought a blade to the ambush, he meant to kill my son
Meanwhile aemond picked up a rock and hit jace on the head, when he was on the ground bleeding he said “you will die screaming just as your father did, bastards”.
(disclaimer: I am not saying aemond deserves to lose his eye or that he really wants to kill jace, just that alicent’s accusation is nonsense since luke pulled out the knife only after aemond threatened he and his brother with death. Surely aemond didn't mean it but luke was sure, and it is understandable since he is the younger among those present, so acted accordingly by defending his brother, before this he never took the knife)
Alicent: the emblems of the seven serve only to guide us on an uncertain path to remind us of a higher authority.
The faith of the seven consider incest as a monstruos and vile sin, so it condemns incestuous marriages calling them an abomination. Yet alicent betrothal aegon and haelena because it was convenient to her; since she is so religious, with her actions she would condemn her children to damnation, but she doesn't seem to care much about that
Alicent: At the green council she said “Am I to understand that members of the small council have been secretly planning to install my son without me?” pretending to be completely uninvolved, but here is an evolution of older alicent from ep 6 to 8 (not including ep 9 because it show the green council and ep 10 because it is all based on rhaenyra and the black)
ep 6: she said to aegon “you are the king’s firstborn son. And what they know, what everyone in the realm knows in their blood and in their bones is that one day, you will be our king”. She also speak with viserys about rhaenyra’s children in the hope for him to change his mind, and in the council she alway discredit rhaenyra’s position
ep 7: it is the episode when aemond lost his eye otto said to her that she had the determination to win the game and now vaghar was at their side, then he conclude by saying that they will prevail
ep 8: she agreed to give driftmark to vaemond before the petition start, because it was safe “in the case of a war” have a more experienced men at the head of velaryon’s fleet.
If you still believe that she was not aware, or at least not expect that the council was scheming, then you are totally delusional (it's worth mentioning that rhaenyra had told alicent that the council was plotting to replace her and this was even before aegon was born, and that alicent admitted to otto that he was implacable in the idea of having aegon on the throne; so it was unthinkable to assume that he wasn't plotting especially at a time like this where viserys was ill and he had all the power. If you continue to assert that Alicent was in the dark, then you are consequently asserting that she is stupid)
Alicent: "We [woman] do not rule, but we may guide the men that do. Gently, away from violence"
Friendly reminder that aegon, alicent's son, rape the maids in the red keep. I find this this behaviour very far from being kind and being against violence; and if alicent is not capable of controlling her son as a prince, imagine once she has placed a crown on his head (in fact in fire and blood otto and alicent were convinced that once aegon was crowned king they would be the true rulers, and this is revealed to be false since he relieved otto of his position and act, most of the time, without listen to alicent)
Otto: “Queen Alicent has not forgotten the love you once have for each other”
Alicent did not forget the love she and rhaenyra shared when the latter might make decisions that harm her children, because when alicent abused rhaenyra then that love for her had never existed
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Context: Alicent demanded that the baby rhaenyra had just given birth to be brought to her, not even having the decency to leave them alone for a few minutes after rhaenyra's painful delivery to bring the child into the world. In the second picture alicent and otto agreed to grant vaemond a petition for the wooden throne despite the fact that the succession had already been decided by corlys himself subjecting rhaenyra to great stress while she was pregnant. In the third rhaenyra had an abortion because her body could not cope with the pain after her father had died and his death was hidden from her, and consequently she could not say goodbye to him and take the ring he was wearing (a ring that belonged to aemma, the mother rhaenyra lost at a young age, photo 4), to this pain was also added the fact that her throne had been usurped by her childhood friend who a few days earlier had praised how good a queen rhaenyra would be. Of course, I have not included all the times where Alicent discredited rhaenyra and her opinions, and spread gossip about her children, calling them 'threats' and 'savages'. If this is love I can't think what would have happened if there was antipathy between the two.

From the Inquisitor to the Baptist: The Evolution of John Seed
Tumblr media
In addition to concept art and behind-the-scenes content, early visuals and deleted dialog can still be found in the game itself, notably in its files, and reveal more information about how John and his personality have changed during the development of Far Cry 5.
All the sources and references indicated by the superscript numbers will be given in the last post.
Part 4: Personality and morals (Far Cry 5)
First, let’s have a look at this screenshot of the performance capture footage of the game’s first mission, “The Warrant”, that was officially posted in August 2018⁴¹.
Tumblr media
While the Father, the Marshal, and the Sheriff are all played by their original actors, the Heralds are not. That said, they don’t say a word in this scene and are just standing in the background, so it wasn’t necessary for Mark Pellegrino (Jacob), Jenessa Grant (Faith), and Seamus Dever to be on set that day, and their characters could be played by other people. I don’t know how old the footage is, but the number “170803” in the title of the sequence could be a date: August 3, 2017. There are two other numbers in the video, “170616” and “170615”, which could mean other parts of the intro were shot on June 15 and 16 (but this is just a hypothesis).
Behind Greg Bryk, the actor on the left in the screenshot seems to be Jacob, as the eldest Seed brother stands in a similar position, with his arms crossed, in the finished scene. The woman on the floor is surely Faith, and her posture is quite different from what we see in the game (but, interestingly, reminiscent of the way she poses in the family portrait found in the Holmes Residence³¹). The attitude of the third actor, who must be John, isn’t identical to the Baptist’s in the finalized sequence, either.
Tumblr media
Instead of standing with his arms behind his back, he has one foot on the platform and, judging by the way his left hand is positioned, it looks like it’s possibly either in the pocket of his coat (maybe just the thumb) or resting on a gun. While, in Far Cry 5, John is simply observing the scene, attentively but calmly, and the “tough” brother seems to be Jacob instead, in this early version of the intro, his attitude is defiant and draws more attention to him, like he wants to make it very clear that you shouldn’t try to attack him or his family.
This is consistent with what we’ve seen in the first promotional images, concept art, Inside Eden’s Gate, the TV spot, and what is described in Far Cry Absolution: John used to appear more threatening and confident. In the game, this was toned down a bit and he, on the contrary, seems to want to look more “polite” than overtly menacing. This might be due to the fact that, as evidence suggests, his methods, although still violent, aren’t as extreme as they used to be.
In the final version of Far Cry 5, John gives tattoos that represent people’s sins and then cuts them out to make them Atone. This is brutal, yes, but from his point of view, this isn’t gratuitously brutal. He genuinely believes he’s helping and saving people, and that suffering is indispensable. The day his parents “threw [him] on the ground” and made him experience unbearable amounts of pain, he says he reached a point where “all [he] could say was yes” because he felt “clear” and “free”. Whether they’re right or not (since it seems the Voice Joseph hears is real), the members of the Seed family have conditioned themselves into believing that their trauma was a divine “test”, that it gave them purpose, and that people needed to experience the same thing to serve the Project, survive the Collapse, and be worthy of passing the Gates of Eden. John, because of what he went through, now believes pain has purifying properties, and he hurts others so they too can experience the epiphany he had while he was being tortured as a child. He can also get zealous and doesn’t hesitate to threaten or harm people who resist him, mostly because he can’t do his job properly and impress the Father if they don’t comply (and ironically, it’s precisely when he gets angry and carried away that Joseph is disappointed), but he doesn’t torture people just because he enjoys it. On the surface, it may look like pure sadism, but it’s more complicated; there’s reason for his actions. What gives him satisfaction is more the result of the pain he inflicts (look how exhilarated he is when he’s finally made Nick Atone) than the simple act of inflicting pain. He sees “torture” as a means to an end: Salvation.
In the game’s files, though, deleted content reveals that, earlier in development, John was more violent, would mostly hurt for his own enjoyment, and was, in general, a more hypocritical and narcissistic person, and it appears a few needless acts of brutality were removed from the game.
For example, this is what the transcript of John’s radio call to the Deputy for their Atonement looks like in the “oasisstrings” file⁴², which contains all the in-game text:
Your actions have consequences, Deputy. I've gathered all your friends here in Fall's End to Atone for your sins. You're welcome to join us. After all, if it weren't for you they wouldn't be in this predicament... This is your last chance to say Yes, Deputy. Don't be late.[SFX of an electric saw and someone screaming]
As you probably know, the “SFX of an electric saw and someone screaming” isn’t part of the call at all in the game, and it’s not in the audio files either. The sound effect would have made it seem like John was busy gruesomely torturing someone when he decided to call the Deputy, and that he casually resumed hurting them as soon as he was done talking. I think it’s interesting that the developers considered including this but eventually decided against it. Without it, the call sounds “normal”. Threatening, but normal. The scream and the electric saw would have made John look like someone who gratuitously tortures without any empathy… but this simply isn’t who he is anymore, so the SFX had to be cut.
In the Prima Games guide, a screenshot reveals what the Confession room in John’s Gate used to look like:
Tumblr media
The room isn’t grey just because the lighting is different; plastic tarps are covering the floor and walls. The Confession room used to look more like a torture/kill chamber in which a lot of blood was expected to be shed. The wrapped dead bodies were more visible… and also seemed more consistent with who John apparently was at the time: basically a (somewhat caricatural) serial killer. Although he knew how to look refined, it seems neither he nor his methods particularly were.
When you explore the Holland Valley, you can stumble upon an excerpt of Deputy Joey Hudson’s Confession. In the broadcast, clearly recorded and made public by John in an attempt to make the Junior Deputy worry about their partner’s safety and lure them into his bunker, here is what we hear:
John: It was the Father who said to me, “Take them, John. Take them even if they resist, for those who deny the Project are the ones most in need of its salvation. Though their sins are great, their souls are not beyond saving. All they must do… is Confess.” Are you ready, Deputy Hudson? Hudson: Go fuck yourself. John: Hmm… I know. Opening yourself, exposing your darkest secrets can be… challenging. It can be scary, but… this is a safe space, there is no judgment here. Do you wish for me to hear your Confession? Hudson: Go. Fuck. Yourself. John: That’s... not the magic word. John: Do you wish for me to hear your confession? John: *sighs* You just have to say "Yes." Hudson: Go. Fuck. Yours- *screams* John: Do you wish to Confess? Hudson: *still in pain* Oh, fuck you! Fuck you! John: Embrace it. John: Embrace the Power of Yes! Hudson: *crying* Please, stop. Please, stop! Please, stop... Please... John: Do you wish to Confess? Hudson: Yes... John: There. That wasn’t so hard, was it?
Hudson’s screams make the broadcast hard to listen to, but it turns out it used to be even worse.
There are 16 sound files in this “sermon”, but there were 9 more (so 25 in total) in the “complete”, previous version, which sounded like this:
John: It was the Father who said to me, “Take them, John. Take them even if they resist, for those who deny the Project are the ones most in need of its salvation. Though their sins are great, their souls are not beyond saving. All they must do… is Confess.” Are you ready, Deputy Hudson? Hudson: Go fuck yourself! John: Hmm… I know. Opening yourself, exposing your darkest secrets can be… challenging. It can be scary, but… this is a safe space, there is no judgment here. Do you wish for me to hear your Confession? Hudson: Go fuck yourself!! John: That’s... not the magic word. Hudson: Go fuck yourself. John: Do you wish for me to hear your confession? Hudson: Go. Fuck. Yourself. John: *sighs* You just have to say "Yes." Hudson: Go. Fuck. Yours- *screams* John: Do you wish to Confess? Hudson: *screams* John: Shhh… It’s okay. This happens all the time. Hudson: *still in pain* Oh, fuck you! Fuck you! John: You just have to open yourself. Hudson: *screams* John: Embrace it. Hudson: *screams* John: Embrace the Power of Yes! Hudson: *screams* Hudson: *crying* Please, stop. Please, stop! Please, stop... Please... Hudson: No... *screams* John: Do you wish to Confess? Hudson: Yes... John: There. That wasn’t so hard, was it?
While the in-game version is painful to listen to, it seems a bit less violent in comparison, like John is only hurting Joey (who used to be more confrontational too) when he believes it’s required, just enough to make her say “yes” so he can finally do his job. He’s also a bit less mocking in the final broadcast, and unlike in the long version, when she asks him to stop, he does. To me, shortening this audio to only keep what’s “necessary” (from John’s point of view, of course; it’s still harsh) makes him seem less pointlessly sadistic, and I see this as another proof that his violent tendencies were deliberately toned down.
In deleted radio calls⁴³, John was also more taunting and insulting towards the Deputy, calling them “a wayward, filthy sinner” he could easily find if he followed “the stench of sin”. He also used to tell them it was their fault if he hurt people, for example in this one, supposed to be triggered sometime after the mission “The Confession”:
Wrath... all that anger you carry inside of you is a disease. It spreads out... infects others. It's even infected me. It's making me do something I don't want to do. You see, after you fled your Confession this... rage started boiling up inside me. I'm afraid your friend, your... Deputy Hudson... will have to bear the brunt of this rage you've given me. She's going to be the one who pays for what you've done. And you only have yourself to blame.
In Far Cry 5, he still taunts the Deputy and threatens to harm their allies if they keep hurting the Project, but not as much, and it appears he doesn’t always plan on carrying out his threats; he mostly wants to scare them so they “behave” and let him do his job (but it doesn’t work very well). In the deleted call, I think he seemed to be a less sincere and more manipulative person, and this John would likely have kept torturing people even if the Deputy hadn’t done anything, simply because he enjoyed it, but he prefers to guilt trip them and tell them that they should feel bad for his actions.
In the game, when Hudson is finally out of John’s Gate, she says something I think is very interesting⁴⁴:
When you escaped the bunker... John didn't say it... but you could see it in his face. Failure. Things got worse from there... Like he was trying to make up for something. Prove to his brother he could... I never thought I'd make it out of there.
I like that the radio call in which John says the Deputy’s Wrath has “infected” him and is “making [him] do something [he doesn’t] want to do” was cut. Again, it didn’t sound genuine; he clearly wanted to make their friends suffer and was just blaming them for his behavior. In Far Cry 5, I love that John doesn’t talk about his feelings at all and doesn’t admit he was angry when the Deputy ran away from his bunker. On the contrary, while they’re fleeing the Gate, John encourages them to leave. To me, it sounds like he’s actually very upset about the situation, probably even more than “early John” would have been, but because he doesn’t want to lose face, he pretends he’s not and that them leaving was his plan all along anyway.
When Hudson reveals that John was visibly vexed after the Deputy’s escape but “didn’t say anything”, I think it’s more compelling than him then calling the Deputy to tauntingly and hypocritically put the blame on them. And when “things got worse from there”, Hudson (rightly, I think) concludes it was because John wanted to “prove to his brother he could” make up for that failure he painfully knew was his, not because he simply felt like hurting people and used the Deputy as an excuse.
What this deleted radio call reveals, to me, is that in earlier versions of the story, John was too conceited to take responsibility for anything, and he wasn’t ashamed because others were always the problem. The final version of John doesn’t have such a high opinion of himself anymore, as much as he wants to give the impression that he does and that nothing can affect him. After the Deputy’s escape, he silently withstands that blow to his ego and then works his hardest to fix his mistake. Unfortunately, it doesn’t change the fact that people then have to suffer, but my point is that the motivation behind his actions is different.
There are more proofs of “early John”’s hypocrisy and narcissism, such as this piece of concept art for his home, Seed Ranch⁴⁵:
Tumblr media
In the picture, we see flower beds, colorful garden furniture, a fountain, and a golden (maybe even gold) statue of the “old” Eden’s Gate logo, the one with an eagle, which indicates the artwork was made rather early in development. And they aren’t visible in the artwork, but in the sound files, Nick and Sharky also mention tennis courts⁴⁶!
When people join Eden’s Gate, they are expected to give up their worldly possessions, not to give them to the cult (although it’s always an option since they need supplies for the Collapse), but because Joseph preaches about how Greed, consumerism, and selfishness have perverted humanity, so it’s better to live a simple life. It seems awfully hypocritical, then, for one of his Heralds to own such a luxurious property...
But in the game, although it’s still big, it looks like there are fewer rooms in the ranch, and its exterior isn’t as fancy anymore⁴⁷. No fountain, no gold statue, no colorful garden… and no tennis court.
Tumblr media
More cut content suggests that Seed Ranch wasn’t just where John lived. In the deleted in-game encyclopedia (still available in “oasisstrings”), the description of the ranch said:
The power of yes gave John Seed this dream ranch overlooking the Holland Valley. it has commanding views, a private air strip, and secluded soundproofed rooms for his most invigorating religious pursuits.
In the files, it’s also possible to find this kind of NPC dialog:
The cultists were talking about taking me to John's ranch. People who go there... they don't come back. Or they come back wrong.
And a deleted mission objective said to “rescue Mary May from John Seed’s Ranch”, so she would be taken there at some point. In Far Cry 5, converts go to John’s Gate after their Cleansing so he can hear their Confession and tattoo them... as well as make them suffer because, as a cultist explains in the mission “The Cleansing” to people who’ve just been baptized:
Confession without pain isn't Confession. You'll scream out your sin, then you'll wear it on your flesh before John peels it off of you. It's a beautiful thing.
Clearly, “early John” would also torture people in his ranch. And did he really believe it was for “religious” reasons, like it seems he does in the game, or was that, once again, at least partially an excuse? Given what we’ve seen so far, my guess is it was the latter.
A mysterious “sex room” located in the ranch is also mentioned in the files, but it was cut from the game and not much is known about it⁴⁸. If it was a literal “sex room”, it would either be yet another proof that John used to be hypocritical and to not always practice what he preached, or confirm that the “no fornication” rule originally didn’t exist. “Sex room” could also simply be a joke name used by the developers to refer to a torture chamber. But if we want to trust what one of the survivors says in Far Cry New Dawn⁴⁹…
This place used to be a ranch owned by a cultist named John Seed. I always heard rumors that he had some kind of pervert basement and was real disappointed to find out that it wasn't true.
…there apparently is no such room in John’s house.
Given how luxurious the ranch looks, you would expect him to want to spend as much time as possible in it, but it turns out he doesn’t. In fact, one of the cultists guarding the property comments⁵⁰:
Haven't seen John here in a long time. He's super busy.
And in a letter found in his bunker⁵¹, John wrote:
Everyone's human, and that's why I don't want to put myself on a pedestal. I don't ever want to get back up there again. I'd rather be here with all of you and the new souls in this bunker.
At some point during the development of Far Cry 5, John would expect his followers to live a simple life, serve the Project, and rigorously follow its rules while he would do the opposite. In the final version of the game, his faith in his mission and his devotion to the Project seem sincere, and he would rather work tirelessly and live in his Gate among his “brothers and sisters” than lounge in his ranch. Said ranch is also not as much of a display of wealth as it used to be, and nobody gets tortured there anymore. A bag of “oregano” can still be found in the living room, but since no one says anything about it and it really doesn’t seem to me that John would break the cult’s rules and smoke drugs, I consider it to be a relic from the past, a vestige of the time he seemed to only care about himself.
John is involved in three more abandoned storylines in the files, and they all demonstrate he used to be more hypocritical and violent. The first one is revealed by a mission objective that said to “find John and Mary May’s secrets”⁵², and it seemed it was related to the mission in which we would go rescue her from the ranch. Unfortunately, it’s unknown what the secrets were about, but it’s very likely John didn’t want them to be exposed because everyone would have seen his true, ugly colors and how dishonest he was.
The second one is revealed by Hurk Jr. who has this line in the files⁵³:
Good thing for us John and Jacob haven't sorted out their brotherly nonsense. I mean if we're lucky, they'll just take each other down. If not, well, I'm going to keep some grenades around with John's name on 'em, eh? It's comin' to a head man.
In the game, they aren’t in conflict. On the contrary, Jacob seems rather protective of his family, and John strives to impress his brothers.
As for the third one, we know about it thanks to one of Kim’s deleted lines⁵⁴:
John Seed's a piece of shit. When news spread that I was expecting, that scumbag spread rumors that HE was the biological father of my baby. I don't know if he was trying to create a wedge between me and Nick or if he was just doing it to laugh at us. It was stressful and all for nothing. I can tell you, we don't need to go on a talk show and have a DNA test. Nick is the father.
Again, in the game we know, it seems absurd that John would want people to believe that he had an affair with Kim, with whom he isn’t married, considering what the Project’s rules are and that a letter found on the Ryes’ porch, titled “John Seed’s plea”, proves he’s already amiably tried to talk them into joining the Family:
Nick, The Collapse I talked to you about has started. I know you want to protect YOUR FAMILY. The only way to do this is by joining OUR FAMILY. Our bunkers have everything Kim & Baby Rye will need to survive. There are dozens of expecting mothers and children here already with us. This is my final plea to you. Say YES. John Seed
Spreading distasteful rumors about them seems counterproductive, but again, John the Inquisitor probably wouldn’t have cared as long as he could have fun at the expense of other people.
In Far Cry 5, John the Baptist simply isn’t this man anymore.
To be continued…

'In Which Celebi and Cresselia Have A.. Lesser Than Friendly Chat'
Celebi finds out that Twig was alive during the 30 years where she was presumably dead, and with Cresselia being the only one who knew where she was and all the while choosing not to say a word to Twig's friends who were mourning the death of a a person who was alive. Celebi decides to share her own two cents on the matter. A thingie I wrote for @sincerely-sofie and her Mortality Exchange AU, because why not?
Celebi wasn't one to hold grudges. Or resentments, for that matter.
Now, all of that depended on how and where you knew the little lady from.
Be it from the once-cold and tethering future or from the warm and chilly present, you'd always see her as this cheeky and cheery individual who would always have a smile stapled on her face, who just likes to goof on and about for no reason.
But as of recently, Celebi didn't feel like that.
It all started 30 years ago, on one faithful morning. Twig, one of Celebi's friends, simply.. disappeared. Nobody knew where she went or how, as the only clue that everyone had was that it happened at night. Perfect enough for no witnesses to see. And the worst of all? There were no traces left behind. She was gone. Like the wind, she came and she went.
Treasure Town underwent a rather depressing change with her disappearance. Wigglytuff's Guild issued that all explorers will scout any possible dungeon and report any signs of Twig, be it from the closest Beach Cave or as far as the Zero Isles.
They all returned empty handed.
The future only became darker as people eventually started giving up, simply choosing to accept the fact that she was gone. That she isn't coming back.
Those strings of words made the minds of Twig's friends hurt, and almost hurl at the implication.
Kip, her partner, never stopped looking for her even after everyone gave up. He stayed up nights, trying to figure out just who or WHAT was capable of taking her away, and for what reason. Even after decades and having to evolve out of distress, he never stopped looking for her. He would've rather perish than accept that she was gone for good. Be it out of determination or out of desperation, he wasn't gonna stop.
Grovyle, her closest friend, grieved in his own way. Constantly blaming himself for Twig's disappearance, almost as if he was somehow supposed to know that something like this would happen. He stayed up countless nights, not having the willpower to face whatever nightmare was conjured for him after all of this. It was depressing to see him this way. At one point, he set out to the other regions, hoping to find Twig there and pray for a chance that it wasn't too late.
Dusknoir.. grieved the hardest. Knowing his own history with Twig, the fact that she was gone played with his heart while simultaneously ripping it out. Despite maintaining such a collected look on his own face, he was mourning.
Everything felt dim. As of something essential was ripped from everyone's lives, and it slowly deteriorated them. Celebi felt like this. She hated it. She missed Twig. She missed her so, so much. But there was nothing to be done. She was gone. And all they had to do now was accept it, and move on.
... Or so they believed.
A week ago, Kip was escorting a guild of explorers that were on an expedition to the ruins that were a few good miles away. Something about the place having a curse that made people fall asleep in there forever when they get tired, apparently.
Obviously, with the hell-load of Chesto Berries everyone packed, falling asleep may as well be a dream. But the biggest thing that was discovered within said ruins was what CAUSED the curse.
It was a Charizard. It boasted a different appearance, almost akin to a Mega Evolution counterpart, yet it's body looked entirely different.
And yet.. it only took one good look from Kip to know who it was. He immediately recognized her. And she recognized him. Twig.. was alive.
With her return, life returned to Treasure Town, and after the lovely reunion (and Celebi zipping all the way to Grovyle who was on the literal other side of the globe at this point to tell him the news), everything was good and happy once more.
At least Celebi hoped it was. She eavesdropped on a conversation that Twig had with Dusknoir, something about her explaining just how and WHERE she was.
".. I ran away, more or less. Turns out that when I killed Darkrai in Dark Crater, I just sort of.. got his powers? I didn't want to hurt everyone, especially after people only started recovering from Darkrai's grip on their dreams.."
"While I appreciate your intentions, you must be aware that you've had all of us absolutely worried, Twig. For the longest time, we all thought that something horrible happened, and nobody even knew WHERE you were."
"I mean.. you'd almost be correct with that last part."
".. How come?"
Twig went on explaining that Cresselia essentially knew where she was. Something about her having some kind of ability to see where Darkrai was back when he was alive to ensure he wouldn't cause all that harm. And since Twig IS Darkrai, it also worked with her.
And Celebi was absolutely enraged with that fact.
Now, Celebi and Cresselia didn't know each other that well for Celebi to form her own opinion, but she DID come to take a few Lunar Feathers for when Grovyle and Kip were on the brink of collapsing from the lack of sleep they went through. Celebi eventually told her about what happened to Twig and how much she misses her, with the latter talking about her own experiences with both Twig and Kip and how they ventured off to fight against Darkrai -- doing something that most people would consider a death sentence -- in his own domain.
Celebi didn't want to mention it, but everytime she talked about Twig.. Cresselia acted rather odd.
She barely made eye contact with Celebi as she spoke, fidgeting with her own hands or her mouth curling into a distasteful frown. Almost as if she wanted to know something, but chose not to.
Celebi believed that maybe Cresselia was processing the grief in a different way than did. That this was just natural for her.
Oh, how wrong she was.
Not only did she pour her heart in front of Cresselia about how the person she saw as a family was simply gone, but the latter just chose to ignore all that grievance and act like it didn't matter; all the while knowing that the person who everyone grieved for was just a few miles away.
To say she was enraged was an understatement. This was a new low, this.. this was just indescribable. Celebi never felt so angry, and she dealt with Dusknoir and Primal Dialga before.
But this? This felt like someone spit in her face and rubbed it all in.
She was gonna give her own two cents on this very predicament to Cresselia, but she couldn't just fly off without notifying anyone.
Grovyle, Kip and Twig -- Arceus bless their hearts -- all knew that something was going on with Celebi. It was obvious. Clear as day. But she held out on, just to ensure that no one would get too worried.
But opportunity struck like gold as Twig voiced her worries about her powers causing everyone to have nightmares again, with Dusknoir suggesting to ask Cresselia for some Lunar Feathers to ensure that Twig gets to stay AND the nightmare problem is solved.
Celebi was on board with bringing the Feathers best, as Twig will have a reason to not run away again and Celebi could get her message across to the ol' crescent head. It was a win-win!
Leaving the warm and humble home back in Treasure Town, Celebi's expression steeled as she made her way to Cresselia's place, hands curled into fists and determination harder than a Steelix.
Now, trying to fight a Legend is foolish. Cresselia was very much out of Celebi's power capabilities, and trying to fight her would only create more issues than it would with problems, and the possibility of accidentally finishing off Cresselia and gaining her powers was an entirely new bucket of problems.
But Celebi wasn't gonna use power, not at all. It's like how that one saying went.
'Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.'. Oh, she was gonna make sure those words hurt, alright.
After making her way to the top of the mountain Cresselia lived on, Celebi came face to face with none other than the Lunar Pokemon herself, with the latter meditating and not noticing Celebi's presence.
Celebi made a loud and clear 'ahem' to let her know of her presence, to which Cresselia was very alerted by, not before seeing who made the source and calming down when seeing it was only Celebi.
"Ah, Celebi. Good afternoon. How can I help you?"
Celebi let off a very coy smile, sending off the vibes that she was totally okay on the outside, even though she was seeping with anger on the inside.
"Heeeey, dear. I'm just gonna need some of your feathers again, if you don't mind. I feel like we may need a use for them soon."
".. I see. I can spare a few, I suppose."
Giving her the slick Lunar Feathers, Celebi gave her thanks before pretending to walk away, not before stopping by the way down.
"Actually, darling, there's something I wanted to tell you about. You remember my friend, Twig, right?"
Something about the way Cresselia's twitched at the mention of Twig's name spoke volumes, and it gave Celebi just about enough legitimation on how to act next.
".. I am aware of her, yes."
"Good! Good. You see, turns out she was alive all this time. Her friend found her huddling away at some old ruins far from Treasure Town. I was so happy and relieved when I saw her. It felt like a piece of my life was finally brought back! But you see, I heard her say something that has rather.. caught my interest, and I just wanted to know if you can confirm that or not."
Cresselia was silent for a moment. Be it out of anticipation or worrying, Celebi know she has her on the ropes.
"That thing being..?"
"Twig said something about you knowing where she was all this time. Something about you having the ability to know where Darkrai was, and by extension Twig since she took his place."
"Now, the last thing I wanna do is point blaming fingers here, my dear Cresselia, but do tell me this. Why did you choose to hide the fact that she was still alive from us, all the while allowing us to grieve and mourn like it meant nothing to you?"
Cresselia was silent once more, but her face displayed more panic than it ever did in their previous encounter. The truth was out, and the Delcatty was out of the bag.
"Celebi, listen. I can understand that you're upset! But you need to understand that Twig specifically asked me to avoid telling any of you where she was! And I respected her wishes! There was nothing I could really do in the matter as her counterpart!"
At this point, whatever calm and collected facade Celebi had up has practically desolved into nothingness. She may regret saying what she'll be saying in the future, but at this point, she may as well say what she has to.
"Oh, sure, darling, sure. There was absolutely nothing you could've done.. besides realizing that the wish was SO BLATANTLY SELF-DESTRUCTIVE!! GOOD GOD, ARE YOU CALLED THE LUNAR POKEMON BECAUSE OF YOUR FEATHERS, OR BECAUSE YOUR HEAD IS SO FAR UP THAT IT'S CONSIDERED A CELESTIAL OBJECT?!"
Cresselia was immediately taken aback by the comment, but something about the look in her eye showed that she acted as though she deserved any part of this. Celebi only spiraled downwards from here.
"I LOVED HER LIKE SHE WAS MY OWN FAMILY! I FELT LIKE MY SOUL WAS GETTING CRUSHED WHEN I FIRST HEARD SHE DISAPPEARED, AND HOW EVERYONE AROUND ME FALL INTO NOTHINGNESS AS SHE DID. AND YOUR SELFISH, PRICKLY LEVITATING BUM JUST SAW THIS AND MOVED ON. WHY?!"
"Because I didn't want another Darkrai scenario to happen, alright?!"
Celebi froze at that statement, almost having to rehear it as she did. She wasn't exactly well versed about what happened between Legends, but she was intrigued as to what might've happened to require such a promise to follow.
".. How come?"
"The reason Darkrai ended up the way he did was because no one was there to love him, with me only kicking him aside when he could not control himself. I believed that if I could change myself with Twig, I believe that may I could prevent a second Darkrai scenario. She kept insisting that she was fine where she was, so I eventually set her off on her own!"
Celebi could only remember how Twig looked like during the day she was found. She looked scared. So, so scared. Filled with such immense power, yet she couldn't even bring herself to be around people out of fear.
"Cresselia.. do you want me to tell you how Twig looked like when her partner brought her back home? She was suffering. She was dehydrated. She was hungry. She was tired. Every part of her body just made her feel more ashamed of herself, and it tore her apart. Is that supposed to be 'okay' for you, dear?"
Cresselia could no longer respond this time. All she did was look down in shame, with Celebi's judgemental gaze not leaving her at all.
"You.. I have no words for you. I can't even stand to look at you anymore. I need to go."
Celebi began making her way down, before Cresselia piped up again and called Celebi as she looked miserable and regretful. Celebi was gonna stick out her tongue and bolt away as she did, but at learning and listening to just whatever this scum of the earth has to say would be entertaining enough.
".. Celebi, can I at least tell you send something to Twig before you go?"
"Fine. Whatever. Get on with it."
"I wanna tell her that I am sorry. For everything, with my whole heart. And I am so sorry that I have done such a.. horrid and selfish thing to you all."
Celebi was silent. The quietness strew between them. It felt suffocating.
".. Okay. I will."
Celebi left, and Cresselia was left alone with her own woes on the mountaintop. In the end, she wondered. She could only think about all the indirect pain she caused. It was overwhelming.

Something that's been on my mind regarding Aizen and Ichigo's interactions so I'm throwing it out: Why I think Aizen never used his shikai against Ichigo and what that says about his ulterior motive.
Tumblr media
For starters, we have to answer the question as to why Aizen molded and formed Ichigo. Like Aizen said, he knew about Ichigo since before he was born. Aizen was intrigued by the immense power that is gained from hybrid beings, hence why he was so focussed on working and experimenting with the Hōgyoku. Isshin and Masaki were an unexpected but welcome surprise, and in old fashioned Aizen fashion, he adapted and observed. We all know what happened next since Aizen was so kind to narrate it for us, but he spent the next years monitoring Ichigo, and eventually actively forming him. Setting up the battles to push Ichigo to his limits, to slowly but surely become stronger.
Tumblr media
I'm convinced that Aizen would have been disappointed if Ichigo died (which he almost did a couple of times) but at the same time something tells me he had faith that wouldn't happen. Despite putting him in life-threatening situations, he never made an active attempt to kill Ichigo, always leaving some window of opportunity, because he wanted to see how far Ichigo could evolve. Even after defeating Urahara and Isshin, and Ichigo seemed to be at his limits, he still stopped Gin when he made an attempt to finish Ichigo off. He still had hope for Ichigo to grow.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To be clear, he did not do this because he cared about Ichigo's well-being, but because Ichigo is the perfect counterpart. He is the perfect blend of Human, Soul Reaper, Quincy and Hollow. He is the counterweight and closest to an equal powerful force to challenge Aizen's own power. And Aizen wanted to have that, hence why he made sure to keep it around.
Tumblr media
Like he explained to Gin, fear is necessary for evolution. Feeling and experiencing fear is a requirement for him to evolve even further and become stronger himself. Interestingly, this counters Urahara's view on fear, which he explained when training Ichigo in the beginning. According to him, "nothing comes from fear." He actively encourages Ichigo to not acknowledge fear in battles at all.
Tumblr media
Whoever is right is up for another debate, (or a matter of personal preference) but what it boils down to for Aizen is that in the end, he firmly believes that anything or anyone powerful should experience fear. And the reason for this is that power in itself should never remain stable. We still don't know Aizen's complete motives, but what is clear is that he refuses to bow down to the everlasting reign of the Soul King. That he firmly believes the position of Soul King, the palace, Squad Zero, all of it, should be challenged. That they should feel fear, and he hates the fact that nobody takes up that role.
Tumblr media
We do get hints that Aizen himself doesn't just want to overthrow that reign, but also wants to take over the place of the Soul King himself. And even though Aizen is an arrogant power hungry bastard, he is not a hypocrite, because he makes sure that his own power is actively challenged as well. Whether that's by empowering Ichigo, keeping Gin close despite suspecting betrayal and never asking anyone to trust him, he makes sure his power is never stagnant.
Tumblr media
And because of all that, he also does not use his Shikai against Ichigo. Using his Shikai would mean an immediate advantage, and the challenge that Ichigo provides would be significantly lower. Ergo his power will be unchallenged. It's a strategic move, all crafted according to his own plan. He wants Ichigo at his fullest potential, unhindered. So that he himself will evolve without hindrance as well. To stand at the top himself.

Altami Headcanons! 💕。゚( ゚^∀^゚)゚。
I apologize that they just go randomly. I just wrote what came to mind. 😅 Besides Altaïr and Tami, I also gave a few headcanons about Sabina. :3
Enjoy! 💗
When they started dating, Altaïr always goes to visit Tami after completing a mission. He either helps her with chores or ranch work or they both read books, cook, watch movies/shows, play video games, draw, or just lounge and cuddle. But from time to time, both of them go on an adventure!
Altaïr was introduced to the TaE Family, who welcomed him with open arms, but some were still uneasy with his presence like Taino, Elphina, Emma, Jarrod and Maiev, but as time passed, they were eventually glad that Altaïr was Tami's faithful partner. Despite this, Altaïr and Jarrod have a bit of a rivalry with each other.
Tami was introduced to the Assassin's Brotherhood later when Altaïr took her to the Falcon's Highlands for the first time. Like her family to her boyfriend, the assassins welcomed her with enthusiasm.
The two are always together. Always. And both become very inseparable after marriage. They do almost everything together, but they don't mind when one of them goes to spend time with family/friends.
Every relationship isn't perfect, and that's true for Altaïr and Tami as well. They rarely have a disagreement about something stupid, they argue and then don't talk to each other for few hours. Nevertheless, they both feel sorry for their beloved, apologize to each other and cuddle together in forgiveness. Fortunately, both of them understand each other very well and can always come to an agreement. Simply, communication, loyalty and affection are the most important for them.
Since Altaïr lost Adha, he doesn't want to let anything happen to Tami and he tends to be overprotective. That was one of the reasons why he always sticks by her side. He kisses her on the face, checks to see if she's eaten/drank, dries her with towel after showering and snuggles up to her while sleeping. Despite this, he still gives Tami space when she needs it and won't allow her to be separated from her family.
Tami tries to say nice words to Altaïr in Arabic, which warms his heart, and he tries to do the same to her, but in Slovak. They both play a guessing game, what the other one says in their native language. Also they address each other with pet names in both Arabic and Slovak.
Both are introverts, so they don't show much affection in public, but when they are alone, they show each other affection in all forms.
Tami can imitate and make animal sounds such as pigeon's cooing, cheetah's chirping and purring and also Hunter's growl. She can even imitate other people's voices. Altaïr learned to purr from her, because the idea of them both purring while cuddling is cute.
Due to the trauma of school, Tami hates being yelled at and starts to shed tears. That's why Altaïr doesn't allow himself to shout at his beloved or their daughter. He cannot be angry at them.
Tami introduced Altaïr to her pets (Beaky, Raven and Kamari). Her partner was unsure at first as he had never seen dinosaurs before (the first time he had seen them from a distance when he got to Havaykia) and a cheetah so close. Tami convinced him that they were friendly and had been riding Beaky together. After a while, Altaïr finally gets used to them.
Altaïr has a pet female golden eagle named Caukasa, whom he found injured in the Island of Eagle and took care of. When he released her back into the wild, Caukasa always followed him until finally he "tamed" her. Caukasa helps him find targets on missions. Altaïr also takes care of abandoned and injured pigeons and doves.
Tami showed him more about dinosaurs and animals, while Altaïr told her about physiology and astronomy. Once she tells him about evolution and he still can't believe that 375 million years ago humans were once fish.
Altaïr's favorite dinosaurs are dromaeosaurids such as Deinonychus, Utahraptor and Velociraptor, as they resemble birds of prey. From the herbivorous dinosaurs, he likes the iguanodontids because of the pointed "thumb" which resembles blade.
Altaïr doesn't like to be without a beard and mustache because he would look like a "kid", but also he doesn't like a long beard for looking like an "old man".
At first, Altaïr thought animation was only for children, but when he and Tami first watched the Lion King, he cried so much at Mufasa's death that his girlfriend had to stop the movie and comfort him. It happened again while watching The Land Before Time (the first one) and he cried again at the death of Little Foot's Mother. Today, he considers animation to be an art form and even prefers watching it over live-action movies/shows.
Altaïr doesn't like sweets, while Tami can't resist the sweet taste, but she tries not to eat it too much. They both love spicy food, especially with chili.
Altaïr used to have a minor ophidiophobia (fear of snakes). Tami's oldest adopted sister, Elphina, is a lover of snakes, and she showed him that snakes are not evil creatures, but misunderstood animals that deserve respect, thanks to which Altaïr overcame this fear.
Of course, Altaïr couldn't swim, and for that he has thalassophobia (fear of deep water). In his old universe, he used to go to wash in a river that wasn't deep, but he usually tries to avoid deep water. According to him, swimming is not suitable for stealth. Because of his inability to swim, his brotherhood mocked him, but Tami and her family decided to help him and taught him to swim on the beach a few kilometers from the ranch. Thanks to them, Altaïr finally learned to swim (at least the basics). Well, once he played Subnautica with Tami, and that made his thalassophobia even deeper.
Tami has tonitrophobia (fear of lightning), acrophobia (fear of heights) and fear of doomsday. One night there was a storm and lightning struck not far from the ranch and Tami was crying in fear. Fortunately, at that time Altaïr was with her and comforted her by cuddling. Tami had trouble with heights when she had to learn the Leap of Faith, but in one mission she was being chased by Templars, so she managed to overcome her fear by jumping into water and escape. And doomsday is her worst fear. She is worried not only about her family and friends, but about nature and everything she loves will lost from existence forever. She is also afraid that after death there will be nothing and she will never see her loved ones. Thankfully, her partner and family always cheer her up.
Their common fear is abandonment. The thought of being left alone is terrifying for them. Altaïr lost his loved ones, while Tami fears that one day her loved ones will leave her.
One day, Altaïr ran away from the hideout to the TaE Family's Ranch for Tami due to he couldn't stand the taunts from the other assassins anymore. He said that the other assassins made fun of Tami as well and that was the last straw for him. TaE Family offered him to stay with them as long as he wanted and he agreed. Surprisingly, Altaïr is more tolerant with TaE Family than his fellow Brotherhood members. Of course, a few days later, Bayek and Amunet came and begged Altaïr to return to the brotherhood, because without him they would not defeat the Templars. At first Altaïr refused, but Tami decided to join the brotherhood, shocking her partner and family. Arriving in Falcon's Highlands, the assassins apologized to Altaïr and never allowed themselves to making fun of him (only playful nudges) since then due to Tami is defending him.
Abbas tried to ruin their relationship (like in Looney Tunes xD) many times, but he never succeeded.
Even though Tami became an assassin, she still doesn't know combat well and prefers to avoid conflict. She mostly uses sleep, berserk and poison darts with a blowpipe, making it easier for her to progress through missions.
Altaïr and Tami were married under a blooming magnolia tree.
Altaïr, Tami and their daughter Sabina were born in the winter season: Tami was born on December 18th, Altaïr on January 11th and Sabina on February 15th.
When Sabina was born, Altaïr decided not to do assassin's missions in order to devote himself to his family and protecting them.
What Altaïr loves most is when he sleeps holding both of his loved ones in his arms and snuggling up to them.
Altaïr and Tami were thinking about having another child, but they were worried about Tami's health or if Sabina would be jealous or if they were even able to take care of two children at once. Only time will tell…
Since childhood, Sabina has been interested in farming, like her family friends, the Palins family.
Altaïr mostly helps Sabina with her homework from school, while Tami helps her with biology and computer science homework.
In Sabina's teens, she starts dating Pablo. Her parents were happy for her, but Altaïr reminded Pablo that if he hurts Sabina, Altaïr will stab him (jokingly of course; and I'm tired of the jealous father trope).
As Sabina grew, Tami realized that sooner or later their daughter would leave them, and she was saddened by this. Altaïr and Sabina comfort her and promise her that they will be together forever. 💗 (this headcanon was inspired by this song 🥹)
Bonus: Drawing which I believe Sabina drew :3

Hi!
I hope that you had a great week and that the long weekend is going great!
Sorry I’m sending you an anon ask, I don’t like doing it because I would rather have a debate around this, but as often with unpopular (one might say controversial in some space) opinion, I know I may be branded as someone I don’t feel I am.
My question will be about the laïcité in Quebec. To sum it up, so you can have a good idea of what my position is before asking you my questions, I don’t not support the full laïcité, French-style, like I don’t support it in hospitals, public administration, like if you want to display your religion as a doctor, I think that you should be able to, as long as it doesn’t interfere with your job (i.e. refusing to practice an abortion because of your religion is not ok, in my opinion).
But for the schools, to be transparent, I am a teacher near Montréal, I teach in secondary, and I’d be inclined to agree with the laïcité of the public school. All of it. I feel like the school system should be a safe space for all kids, and by letting religion, and religious practices inside a public school, we are failing at this mission. I don’t care if you are religious, the job of a school and a teacher is to teach you, regardless of your personal beliefs. Like if you’re a Christian and you don’t want to believe in evolution, well that’s your choice, but you’re still gonna learn about it because this is the reality of our world, and your beliefs system shouldn’t interfere with that. And I don’t want, as a teacher to have to put disclaimer in front of all my classes.
So my question is: why are people (especially left leaning people) so against it? Because education is usually one of the center piece of the fight for tolerance and acceptance but I feel like we’re failing at providing a safe space for kids that grow up in extremely religious household and that would like to get out of it but don’t because of family and peer pressure.
I am not stupid, so if the answer is : because it disproportionately target people from specific faiths that may have to wear visible clothing (i.e. Muslim and Jewish), I guess you are right, but I think it is more important to provide a safe space for kids that want to escape religions.
I may have a bias, as I grew up in a very religious household (evangelical Christians) and my dad was a pastor so I never really had a say in it. I got out of it in the university, but I really wish the public school system would have helped me get out of it sooner.
If you read all of it, I hope I didn’t bother you too much with what could basically be my life story at this point. Thank you!
PS: as you can guess my first language is French, and I really am not an English teacher so sorry if my broken English is awful to read.
"Just as a preface, I'm not the usual person who answers the asks, I'm one of the two people helping the usual admin run the blog while they recover from injury. This is important because I'll be addressing some of my experiences growing up Muslim in Quebec, experiences that the admin is not trying to speak to and is leaving for me to address. First off, I do want to note you're speaking from the perspective of the privileged group causing religious oppression as opposed to the receiving end. As someone who was growing up 'Christian' trying to escape religious impositions from your father, you're not in a situation where your religion is being oppressed and suppressed systematically, nor are you suffering under presumption your religion is inherently violent. This is why your comment on your opinion being "unpopular" makes no sense. Your opinion is not unpopular, it is in fact supported by the CAQ and their adherents. Second, the left does not support this because the interests of the right in making such laïcité laws was never to protect children from religious imposition. When I went to private school, where those rules were strictly enforced only onto Jewish and Muslim students but not to Christians wearing cross necklaces (although ostensibly those rules applied to them too), the result wasn't anyone's religious beliefs being protected nor was anyone tolerated, as I was bombarded by homophobic harassment and bullying from our Christian peers and accepted by my Muslim peers. The result was alienation of the Muslim and Jewish students. You should remember that is the original intent of this legislation is not to protect anyone's rights but to remove them. They are telling Muslims "Leave your religion at the door, or you're not a part of society." This is the practical impact of this legislation, and nothing else. You are harming more students than you are 'saving''. Additionally, your worry that Muslims having a prayer room somewhere in the building is a religious imposition on other students, in your imaginary likely atheist ones, is based in islamophobia. The idea that parents can somehow enforce their children to practice at school just because there is a room that allows them to literally makes no sense either. Your concerns are misplaced." "Removing Muslims' ability to have a room to pray in at their school does not remove any mechanism by which parents can use to force their child to perform religious duties they do not want to do. But what it does is continue the operation of an increasingly hostile and alienating system in Quebec that wants Muslims to know they're not welcome in their own country. Would you seek the outlawing of abortion because many men force their partners to undergo them when they don't want to? No? Why? Because it's a basic human right to have access to that service. And just because people impose it on people in their family as part of their abuse doesn't mean it should be removed as an option for everybody, the majority of whom want to use it for legitimate and sincere reasons."

@/GeorginaKellyX @/mandyjb65 "Do you believe in God though Gerard? What's your view on religion?"
People have been asking me my views on religion and my beliefs, so I decided to start writing this last night, then I got tired. If the topic of Religion offends you, or you can't respect others personal beliefs, stop reading now and just focus on my tweets about Chapstick or guitars. Here is my answer, though potentially controversial, lets do this because I'm an open book nowadays- I was raised Catholic, which turned me off from religion because I had a very bad experience. Then, as a young adult, a death in the family resulted in a lot of anger and an even greater distance between me and faith, though I had always acknowledged I received my artistic gifts from God. I even firmly believed in creating MCR, I was given a mission from God, not unlike the scene in The Blues Brothers. The mission involved helping people and battling the forces of evil, by using word and the purifying flames produced by Marshall Halfstack amplification. This is true. It is also my version and my story, and if you disagree, one day you can tell your own version of your own personal story, but this one is mine, as are my beliefs- I ask you to respect them, as I respect yours, as long as they don't advocate hate, discrimination, or violence. Now, where I am today- Re-engaging more seriously in a sobriety program has provided me with an opportunity to face a lot of questions, and be honest with myself about how I truly feel about God, and the anger inside of me went away years ago. The truth is, I always believed in God, I was just young and angry, and more angry with myself than anything. I stopped hating myself, and started to truly love the person I truly was, as long as I was being who I am, which is who I am now. Does God look like a cartoon version with a white beard for me? No, God never has. It's something that has always changed for me, little visions I get that tell me what it is right now. Is it a man? Not always. Sometimes, for longer stretches than others, it's a woman, or a creature with female gender. For years to me, God was a planet-sized intergalactic space worm, blind, but seeing and feeling through sonic vibrations. Once God was even an imaginary J-Pop star. What God looks like is not important to me. In fact, I believe there is more violence created over what God looks like, and the differing of opinions on the subject, than most other foolish forms of violence. So I don't engage in that. I also believe in evolution, and science. So yeah. I believe in God and I'm cool with that. I also didn't check my spelling

To the anon who is struggling with their faith and identity, hi. I get you. I’m in the same boat in a lot of ways. (Discussion of anti-science rhetoric, lgbt-phobia, and conservative Christian stuff for anyone who doesn’t wanna read that)
I was raised Christian, and taught that evolution and the Big Bang were false. I was taught that dinosaurs were real and the earth was billions of years old, but we were still creationists.
I was also taught that being gay or trans was sinful and that gay marriage shouldn’t be legalized. My family was never outright hostile (my uncle is gay and we always loved him, even though “we just don’t agree with his decision” ugh), but clearly bigoted.
I was also raised in baptist churches, who absolutely love to quote the same three verses over and over in order to tell women (like myself) that our whole purpose is to shut up and bear children and take care of the house, that we are to obey our fathers and husbands in everything and cannot teach men at all. Fortunately my parents at least hated that BS, and after every sermon regarding that point my mom would lecture us that that was the only thing she disagreed with with our church, and that me and my sisters could be whatever we wanted to be. She continually pointed out the instances that contradicted what our churches had said about women’s roles.
When I went to college, I made friends, met people with wildly different backgrounds, and began to form my own opinions. I am a supporter of lgbt rights (I believe that there is strong evidence that wording was changed to condemn homosexuality, and that even if it’s a sin, we are called to love each other first and foremost, and that we cannot force our religious beliefs upon anyone else, and that respecting someone’s sexuality and pronouns is just basic fucking courtesy. I’ve even convinced my trump-supporting grandparents to use peoples preferred pronouns and respect gay marriages, with the logic that “you believe it’s sinful, but they don’t, and you can’t force your religious perspective on them. There is nothing loving about making them uncomfortable just because you disagree.”
I also strongly believe in scientific theories like evolution and the Big Bang. There’s plenty of evidence, and if you read genesis with fresh eyes it’s pretty clear to me it’s highly symbolic, not literal. I can believe God created the universe and that he did so through the Big Bang. I can believe God created humans in his image through the process of evolution.
As I was expanding and changing my worldview, I also realized that I was aroace. I’ve never been interested in dating, I don’t find men good looking at all, and my appreciation for women’s beauty is more similar to how someone would appreciate a painting, not someone they want to date or marry or have sex with.
And I don’t believe it’s a problem for me to stay single either. When I told my mom she immediately told me that the Bible says that singleness is, for many, a gift, and only a different path, not a wrong one.
I often don’t know what God’s intention is, but I do know that Christians are called to be the light of the world. So I will always be kind and loving, because that is how you be a light. I always pray for better understanding of how I should do things, but in the end the most important thing is to be kind.
Sorry if that was rambly, I just wanted to let you know that you aren’t alone in these struggles, and that you can believe different things without being a bad person. Personally, my family doesn’t know that I’m now fairly liberal and that I believe in evolution and the Big Bang and such, but I’m okay with that. If they find out, I’ll tell them more or less what I just said here. Best of luck to you and to anyone else in a similar situation 💛

hi!! i was wondering if i could get your perspective on something, as i really respect the resources you share about being faekin and i want to know more about it! i am irish reconstructionist pagan who works with the good folk, and i admit that i often have trouble reconciling my religious beliefs with 'kin posts that i see. i was wondering, if you felt comfortable responding, what your perspective on the clash that sometimes occurs between faekin and the cultural evolution of the fairy archetype is? if this is offensive i apologise and absolutely did not mean it as such! i'm still relatively new to the nonhuman community (my nonhuman blog is foxwyrm!) and am trying to learn more about it :} regardless, i love your blog, and appreciate what you share!!
Hi! I'll start by saying this is not even a little bit offensive! I know you're asking a question in earnest and I'm honestly really grateful to get the opportunity to voice my perspective.
And really, I wasn't sure at first how to approach all of this at all. My brain and beliefs are scattered, and to be quite honest I make it up as I go along. That's why I used to be petrified of doing any kind of spirit work, especially with the Good Folk. So only recently have I combined my own Neopaganism with my Otherkin experiences. I am still learning. But I'm learning a lot, especially now from others who walk a similar path.
I'll admit I had to look up just to make sure I understood what an Irish Reconstructionist Pagan is, and it seems to be exactly what I was hoping it would be! I may not be strictly of that faith myself, but I'm highly grateful that there are people who are, who keep that alive. I'm so fascinated by pre-Christian Celtic faiths and I do wish it were easier to find the old stories. But stories survive through people, and I enjoy sharing videos I've found where Irish people who coexist with the Good Folk, talk earnestly about their faith and how it impacts their lives. I think those collective experiences are very real and important and culturally valuable. I see parallels in our perspectives, when they speak of mutual respect and of leaving nature undisturbed. I highly value the words of the people who live where there are said to be Faeries.
Still I'd hesitate to discuss being faekin with someone of that particular tradition. I do get overcome with doubt and worry about myself. Is my very existence disrespectful? Just yesterday I ran off into the woods in tears with a question of who, what, am I?
I have discussed being Otherkin with the trees before. I'm an animist at heart, and I like to keep company with the friendly spirits of trees often.
Tree spirits are good listeners, and they understand the humans they live with. When I talk to the trees, I don't have to explain what I am. I show them. They understand. They accept me. They don't judge or argue, and they accept strange contradictions like me being human and nonhuman at the same time.
I see lots of things in the forest. Things that renew my belief in magic every time in different ways. I have hardly a choice but to believe in all manner of beautiful spirits, fae big and small, even gods. I believe in monsters too, but I believe in myself more, and I value my autonomy, and so I choose not to let my spirit be harmed.
And because I value my autonomy, I am drawn to the Otherkin community, where you don't have to have all the answers, just be who you are and you will be accepted in the best of our circles. We respect each other's minds, bodies, and spirits, and each of us walks a parallel but completely different path into ourselves. I'm glad there are others like me, who don't know why they are nonhuman in some way, just that they are, and that we have carved out a space in which to exist as we are.
I don't have all the answers, and probably never will. But I find little congruencies that allow me to slip through the cracks between what is and isn't. Here are some of them.
Many Faeries do look like humans. Changelings of course, and selkies, and Hulder and Skogskra, and nymphs and elves and many others. And much folklore seems to have it that people who seem to be human turn out to be Fae.
But I was born to humans, I know that for sure. And as such, I consider myself a Human Fairy. Of sorts. Like I said, I value my autonomy, and my right to say what I am and be what I am.
For me, the difference between a Faery and a Fairy is that Faeries are the beings that already existed, living at arm's length from most humans for most all time. We only remotely understood them back then, we only remotely understand them now. But we respect them, and many do respect us back and seek friendships with us.
The Fairy, on the other hand, is that cultural archetype you were talking about. A Fairy can be created by a human, it can be a human, it can be a character, and most importantly, it can be the link between people and magic. I have an affinity for pixies and pillywiggins, flower fairies, gnomes, brownies, dryads, sylphs, and all manner of tiny winged beings of nature, and yes, Tinker Bell, who was my personal introduction to the Fairy world, and the idea that there are magical beings who live in another world but also interact with our world. My first 'kin feels' would have been daydreaming myself in Pixie Hollow/Fairy Haven as a tiny fairy with wings and a talent, just the same way Prilla blinks to the Mainland. I still clap sometimes, because I do believe in Fairies.
And I think that the spirit world contains multitudes. I think it contains Faeries and Fairies all at once, and that thoughtforms, spirits, fae, and gods are all a big part of what makes humanity who we are in the first place.
And even still, I don't know if I have all of my facts and beliefs straight. But I know that I don't have to. If I waited until I understood myself completely before going and living my life, I'd simply never get the chance to. And so I just go live it. As I get older I care less about the labels and more about the experiences. But I love being a Fairy. I love being Otherkin. And I love talking to the kindest of the Good Folk. And I'll love this whether or not I will ever fully understand any of it.
I truly hope this is something like the answer you were hoping for.
