This is a tough one because it all just depends on context so much. I'd say typically I veer more towards darker tones in general: really like a nice dark green, or a dark red or crimson. Purple is lovely too :D

9. A bit of a strange one perhaps, but an interesting take on a post-apocalyptic world brought to life in a style that reminds me of Tim Burton a little bit. Basically, the world has been destroyed in a war between humans and machines, and we're introduced to a group of sentient dolls, each with a number on their backs from 1 to 9, who have had to survive in this strange new world while figuring out why they were made in the first place. I don't wanna spoil this for anyone who hasn't seen it, so I'll leave it at that :)
Currently watching:
I'm in-between series atm haha. Waiting for season 4 of the Boys, and just finished watching season 2 of 30 Coins. Might just do a rewatch of Andor or the Punisher to fill this void.
Other stuff I watched this year:
Err… from what I remember (and yes, since we're only in January, I'm counting 2023 into this as well) I'd say Moon Knight, Andor, 30 coins, a rewatch of Supernatural (up to season 12), and the One Piece live action series. Out of all these Andor was perhaps my favourite, but I enjoyed all of them, and was pleasantly surprised at how well the One Piece adaptation remained loyal to the original works :D they obviously had to adjust some things but it still felt true to form. With Andor, I was hesitant to watch it at first because the last SW series I had watched had been declining in quality (weird writing, etc), however… Andor completely blew me away. The way it builds up to the climax was just so well done, the writing is superb, music fantastic, and it's one of those series I wish I could forget about completely so I could experience it for the first time again.

I haven't watched many series I've not finished since I usually watch them to the end anyway, but looks like that new Percy Jackson series may unfortunately fall into this category?
Currently reading:
I've been powering through the Harry Potter books. Started during the Christams holidays and I'm now on book 6. So far so good, though I've had to slow down with holidays being over. Might need to reread the Robert Langdon series as well after this as it's still one of my personal favourites.
Currently listening to:
This changes daily but I do find myself drifting back to Riot music very often. So, that's music made for League of Legends, Valorant, etc. Not the soundtracks, but songs like Worlds anthems like "GODS" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3GouGa0noM) and 2021's "Burn It All Down" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z6CHioIn3s). I also absolutely love "Breathe" from the official launch video for Legends of Runeterra (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNhKAJwlj04). I also like this vid for it heavily featuring Darius, the only champ I ever played when I attempted to get into LoL before the toxicity got to me and I decided it's not for me :3 (didn't take long, but left me with a bit of a soft spot for him lmao)
I absolutely do not play any of these games but man… the music is on point imo. Something again about chord progression, don't ask what my obsession with that is lmao.
If I'm not listening to these and songs like them, I'm listening to heavy metal (industrial or symphonic), movie or game soundtacks, or oldies belonging to various genres from the 70s and 80s, occasionally 90s as well. Here's a couple examples:

Currently working on:
I'm currently making a backend for a gym app I'm working on. I somehow got the GraphQL elements working, now I need to get it saving to a database of somekind. I could do this locally or learn to save data to the cloud but I haven't yet decided which approach to take lmao. Overall, I'm just upskilling in the hopes of eventually landing a job as a full-stack developer. NO LUCK SO FAR aside a couple freelance frontend opportunities :/

Hmm….. good question. I'd say, despite me not playing it as much as I used to, I am slowly getting back to Elder Scrolls Online? Fire Emblem Fates is another, as well as Bleach.

Jockbull Summer Week 6 Set B (18/12/23-24/12/23)

So this is the first time I fucked up the fast.
I still did manage to keep a net caloric intake of about 700cal because of cardio. But I was so out of it in the morning that i forgot to remove the egg yolks in my eggs.
And egg yolks are so full of carbs and delicious delicious fats.
It didn’t ruin the day by any means, and arguably made the morning much more bearable. But it was an extra like 200 calories that I could have docked.

Only one meditation this week and it was very standard. Just trying to sort out my brain and prioritize things so i don’t feel so overwhelmed. Coalesce and relax and remind myself that not everything is actually important. Things can go undone if they don’t need to be.
Set things in order so that you can deal with the few important things and everything else can go on auto mode.

Always doing this ngl. I wake up from my pre-gym nap and i stroke a bit before getting ready. But also i did break the edging streak…several times..with a cute himbo slut tho so it’s alright. Was so pent up. Bred him and *literally* tore him open with this fat fucking bull cock. Disturbed all his neighbours for hours. But i Can't wait to build back that energy.

Okay I am working on an ACTUAL creative work right now in the form of an avis abstraction.
But I am gonna cheat and declare this as one too.
I have a 600 song music playlist that i’ve been building and curating since I was about 13.
My music tastes are very incongruent and eclectic and i love them.
So what I’ve done is I went through the songs and picked out a few for each archetype and put them into little vibe playlists that i thought evoked their essences.

Hey there @newmexicow and welcome!
No dj's here. But what we do have is an eclectic mix of miscreants and ne'er do wells lol We all, there is 5 of us, have mostly different tastes and musical expressions but they do overlap. Everyone of us has experienced and lived music from a very young age. It helped form the people we became and got us through our difficult times.
Speaking for myself I have musical family. Have an aunt and uncle in Vermont that have played bluegrass for decades. The French's. And my cousin , their daughter Jeanne Marie French, has toured all over the world and worked with musical giants. And other family members are musically inclined as well. But those of us that can't hold a tune in a bucket have a passion for music. My folks passed that love on to me growing up in the 60's 70's and 80's. So this made my tastes extremely varied. This love I passed along to my kids and they to theirs. It's very common for our summer months be filled with attending concerts in venues large and small. Last few years my list included local artists as well as the likes of Slipknot, Flogging Molly and Ghost.
So that is what we all bring to our blog. We may not be in the business but we still find a way for it to be our outlet. I love finding new artists to listen to. And that's how I personally came across Pompalamoose. Found them in my own rabbit hole. And while I draw breath I'll always be on the lookout for new music.

Some RadioCotton Trivia 📻🐰❤️
Now that my first fic "If You Can't Say Somethin' Nice, Don't Say Nothin' At All" is finished, I thought I would share some behind-the-scenes trivia!
Some of this will contain minor spoilers for the plot, so read with caution if you've not finished the story - there will be no spoilers for part two (All That Grace). Okay let's go! This list is LONG so hold on y'all
The Bambi Thing
The name is a direct quote from Bambi; there's actually a LOT of Bambi references in the whole fic. The quote was actually the entire inspiration for the whole premise. Bambi is one of my favourite Disney movies and I couldn't help but notice a lot of shared themes between it and Alastor - and then I thought, what if a cute, wholesome rabbit demon came to Hell and taught him to be sweeter?
There's another direct script lift from Bambi later in the fic - when Alastor has the dream about his mother. 'Mother? MOTHER? Mother where are you?' Oh the pain.
Adam also calls Alastor "Bambi" and Verity "Thumper" at points, AND one of the chapters is called "Drip Drip Drop Little April Showers". The themes of them being a deer and a rabbit also crop up a lot, obviously.
The Music Thing
There are a LOT of references to songs, both when I put lyrics at the start of chapters and within the story itself. I am aggressively inspired by music and song lyrics, and have immensely eclectic taste, and can't help myself. Some songs would be the thematic influence for a chapter and I would literally listen to the song on repeat as I either planned or wrote the chapter. Something I'm still doing now while I write Bluest Monday!
At one point I spent about an hour trying to find the name of a music scale just so I could accurately describe it when Alastor and Verity play the piano. I am very meticulous with my research, I was determined to find it 😂
The Alastor Thing
The way I chose to write Alastor was influenced by a number of things. One, that "What just happened? Ffffffuck" line from the finale of Season 1 did a LOT of heavy lifting for me. It showed that he has a version of himself that's less guarded and raw - and I don't care what anyone says, it's NOT because his staff broke. He goes right back to the filter and accent immediately afterwards and the staff is still broken, so.
Two, I just really wanted to write him as someone that uses violence and a covered-up personalty as a coping mechanism for grief, which I don't think is too far from the canon. His eventual softening and ability to love was influenced by things like Mr Darcy, Kylo Ren (LOL), Astarion from BG3, etc etc. Traumatised bad boy is healed by the sunshine girl - we love to see it.
I also did a LOT of research on the canonical information thus far known about Alastor, including things Viv has said in streams. The only thing I got dead wrong was a chapter where he drinks tea - apparently he hates it. Everything else is either based on canon or a speculation based on lore that's been teased.
Other Random Facts
I chose to include Adam as a fleshed out character for a few reasons. One, he's hella fun to write. Two, I had the Vox-jealous-kidnap-and-rescue planned since the start, and I knew I needed a character who could help them. Adam is unknown to the Vees as a hotel resident at that point, and so he became a great choice. I needed to lay the ground work so it would be convincing that he'd help them, so he's there from the start. I ended up loving him so much that he's now one of the main characters in the sequel and is getting his own development arc. Go Adam!
Adam also breaks the fourth wall in the show (Ugly people? *looks at camera*) and so I felt inspired to make him quippy with pop culture references a la Deadpool. It was great fun and very helpful when I wanted to squeeze in a fitting reference.
There is a LOT of foreshadowing and wordplay in the fic. A LOT, so much I don't have time to list it all. For example, Verity drunkenly talks (in Chap 4) about how deer are territorial momma's boys - if that ain't Alastor idk what is. That info becomes very important in Chap 21.
There are references to stuff from Helluva Boss; Fizzerolli Cola, a Verosika music video plays, etc. A sign of more to come in P2 👀
Dramatic irony (where the audience knows something the character doesn't and it's either funny or tragic) is my absolute FAVOURITE Shakespearian trope, and I use it all the time.
I made myself laugh a lot coming up with the names for fake booze LOL
Husk was one of my favourite characters to write, as well as Alastor (ofc), Rosie and Adam.
My personal favourite chapters are 13 (Al drunk with Rosie) 19 (dream scene, fluff & first smut) and 23 (final chapter). I loved the image of Alastor laughing into his drink like a normal young man being silly and chapter 19 has a bit of everything - angst, fluff, smut, comedy. I loved writing that one so much.
The scene where Verity uses Alastor's power to manifest them away from the group cheekily and then Alastor likes it a lot and goes crazy kissing her is very inspired by this scene in Titanic (one of my all time fave movies) - especially where Rose swears and laughs as the lift is going up.
I myself have lost a parent, so I understand that loss very well. I poured a lot of that feeling into this fic, it was something I could actually inject into the story from my own experience.
I'm pretty sure we got the comments turned off on a video on youtube LOL. I linked this song at the end of Chap 19 (I listened to it on repeat while writing the love scene) and the next day the comments were disabled LMAO. That track will ALWAYS remind me of this fic now, arugh my heart
Verity
As much as Verity started as just a way for me to avoid using (Y/N) in a reader-insert fic (something I personally don't like) and a way for me to do the rabbit and deer theme, she became her own character over the course of the story. I made it reader-insert cause I figured no one would read it otherwise, but now the sequel is third person bc she's her own person.
Her name was also a deliberate choice - a V name meaning truth. She makes Alastor face his truth, yadda yadda blah blah blah you get it you get it 😂 Plus it just sounds like a rabbit name doesn't it?
Verity has a lot of traits from myself, but she is NOT self-insert for me, I'd hasten to add. I'm not completely delulu guys okay? ....Not entirely But she does have a lot of overlap with myself. You gotta write what you know, after all. I won't go into detail about the similarities between us - some of them are obvious, I think. But I'll leave that all ambiguous, more fun that way :)
Final Thoughts
There are honestly so many more things I could say but this is already veering into narcissistic self-indulgence land LOL so I feel compelled to stop here, but if anyone has any questions or things they'd like to know, pop them in my inbox!

I have very...eclectic tastes in music. I can't help it. I was brought up by a woman that loved heavy metal and divas; by a man that loved old school country and blues. They both sang. Well and often. There was rarely a time when there wasn't music playing in the house. Sometimes... sometimes you could wander from the living room to the kitchen to the den and three different songs and genres would be playing.
That being said, it was actually my brother that influenced me the most when it came to music. He was ... There was no favoured artist or genre. He listened to everything. Anything. He would send me music to listen to at all hours of the day. Driving anywhere with him meant I was getting a taste of all that he had been listening to. And he listened to a lot.
I would hang out in his room and listen to his latest finds and discuss the merits of Depeche Mode and John Fahey with equal joy. We would play Spirit of the West and Rita Chiarelli back to back and not think it was weird. After I moved out, I would pick him up to hang out and we would devour all the songs that had been on repeat in our lives since we'd last talked tunes.
He had an unspoken agreement that there was no time that was inappropriate to call to get assistance on who sang that fucking song that was stuck in your head, or what the lyric was that you couldn't remember drunk at 2am.
He taught me how to play guitar just so he would have a rhythm guitar player for him to solo over. I didn't mind. I still have a recording of us somewhere, playing. We both hit shit notes at the same fucking time and then completely fell apart laughing. I listen to it from time to time now, just to hear him laugh.
One of the things I miss most about my brother is not having him around to send new music to. I would not be able to count the number of times that I have heard something and my first instinct was to send him a link, or a video, or my commentary. I dearly miss getting those same messages from him.
I miss the all-hours phone calls where the only thing he had to say was OMG YOU MUST LISTEN TO THIS RIGHT NOW and knowing I was about to hear one of my new favourite songs.
It's his birthday today.
J was a lot of things, and certainly not all of those things are things that I want to remember. But fucking hell do I ever miss him.
I'm lucky - and grateful - that all I have to do to remember him is turn the volume up and let the music play.

A selection paints a fuller picture (but it's still curious): Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson's "Symphony" (because it was playing in the gym, and the music video is a masterpiece of an LGBT short film that brings me to tears every time – do watch if you haven't yet. It's beautiful). Also Miley Cyrus' "Flowers", the MSP boys' "You've Got Ma Back" and Tilly Birds' "Just Being Friendly." Gonna mention Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" and Dusty Springfield's "Son of a Preacher Man" too because they both popped up on YouTube. And Adam Lambert's version of Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out for a Hero" because Tumblr decided to take a complaint about bots and set it to music (blogpost linked here).
LAST MOVIE 🔹 This one is way out of left field: Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 (the first Tamil movie I've watched in years, and it was SO GOOD). The book it's based on is also a classic. I'm not Tamil (or even of Indian ancestry) but the culture and language have a special place in my heart because of a childhood housekeeper/nanny who was more like family. Now thinking of watching RRR, but don't know if I will get around to it, because the energy in the clips seems a bit overwhelming. (Yes, I'm aware it's Telugu and not Tamil.) Prior to this – it was either Dune or Encanto (no hang on, maybe it was Everything Everywhere AAO; have been avoiding the cinema for a while since I couldn't get vaccinated earlier due to allergies and had to stay indoors quite a bit).
CURRENTLY READING 🔹 Don't hate on this – read the full explanation please – but with a tinge of guilt about the ethics of it all I'm re-reading a book about a certain boy wizard and his journey to self-actualization. Yes, I'm aware the author (whom I shall refrain from naming – like a Voldeuxmort) has in recent years fallen out of favor due to her views on trans issues, and is now a pariah among vast swathes of Tumblr, so please don't come at me, but I have my reasons.
When the books first came out I was fascinated by the world-building and concocted etymologies, but that's not the reason I'm re-reading. Thing is, I'm trying to learn another language (vastly different from the ones I do know) and the books are very useful for this. They have translations readily available in almost any language you could want, and I can cross-check any difficult bits with the English version, and I already know the story anyway. Plus there's lots of dialogue and the original author's style (or lack of it) isn't hugely literary – the prose is mostly functional, even pedestrian. And the plainness of the language helps when you're not ready (at learner level) for any leaps of linguistic trickery (except for the fantastical made-up bits, which you wouldn't need to learn anyway).
Also – and this is a big reason – my late mom loved these books, and they were the basis for a lot of shared memories for us. I remember watching the films with her and visiting the memorabilia stores too. They made her very happy, and this in turn made me happy. Mom also passed before any of the author's less savory views became public. So having them about reminds me of Mom a lot, back when things were simpler and without the current climate of nastiness.
So yes the books have become tarnished in my view, but the way I'm looking at it – these are books I already had even before the author's controversies broke to the surface, so it's not like I bought them recently and am indirectly supporting her here. I used to treasure these books for their imaginative content, rather less so now. There is still beauty in them, but they're also devalued in other ways. I'm not going to throw them out just yet (not right now anyway) – because for now they're also portkeys to happy memories and happier times.
I think of them like this – they're like the heirloom antiques passed down from generations before, but then you get them appraised and suddenly you find out they're not quite the precious artifacts you thought they were. But just because Mom's old clock or statue turned out to be a dud, it doesn't mean I can't use it as a doorstop or paperweight (or just another decorative tchotchke). You don't have to give it pride of place on the mantelpiece, but you can keep it for different uses that bring utility to your life in other ways. (And as always the other voice in my head is going "Yeaaah well, but that clock face has radium and the statue is flaking lead paint! You have a toxic doorstop that could kill the dog and that paperweight is also poisoning the worktable!" OK, valid points; just give me a little bit more time to figure this one out, please. 🤷♂️)
For now I'm using these books as functional learning aids, rather than throwing them out straightaway (it's better for the environment too, I tell myself). When my grief over Mom's passing fades (as it will, it must) maybe I can let them go of them then. 😥💖

SO GOOD with hot coffee and Thai BL. Also munching on the odd slice of gourmet bak kwa from a secret source, plus arrowhead chips.

Hi, I can't cook for shit, so here's my attempt to write something cooking-related for @dadrunkwriting lmaooooooo
"Are you sure about that?" Cassandra asked, lifting a dubious brow.
"I know what I'm doin', kay?" snapped Sera, reaching across the Seeker's chest to grab another handful of spices.
"Sera, that's a lot of--"
"SSSSHHHHHH!!!!"
The older woman sighed, long-suffering, and kept stirring the thickening, and now presumably extremely spicy concoction in the skillet. Sera had been insisting she knew what she was doing for nearly an hour now, but refused to let her taste anything yet. The Seeker humored her, Maker knew why, but she was growing increasingly concerned by the array of ingredients being used. She was fairly certain the Inquisitor would have something to say about the halla tail.
Meanwhile, the incorrigible elf weaved her chaotic way around the kitchen like it was her second home, which it very well may have been. She moved past Cassandra without so much as bumping her elbow, somehow acutely aware of her presence even when she seemed not to be paying attention. Cassandra had tested this theory several times, sticking a foot out intentionally or reaching for something before Sera did. Each time, the clever thing skillfully evaded her until she had sternly scolded the Seeker and instructed her to "just keep stirring, Cassy."
Cassandra grumbled to herself as Sera dumped a truly unreasonable amount of chopped garlic into the sauce.
"You already put garlic in at the beginning!" she exclaimed.
"Needs more at the end," Sera insisted. "Trust me."
"The last time you wanted me to trust you, I ended up having to punch a bear," Cassandra reminded her angrily. "A BEAR. Because you just had to literally poke it."
"That was then, this is food, I've got this."
Ultimately, Cassandra did trust her. The bear hadn't been entirely Sera's fault, and she had helped bandage up her knuckles afterward. And, surprisingly, the ragamuffin elf did have very good, if eclectic, taste in food.
By the time they'd finished the strange, not-quite-curry-like concoction, the whole keep had begun to smell wonderfully of spices and garlic. Sera finally allowed Cassandra to have a taste, and quivered excitedly nearby while the warrior cautiously dipped a hunk of crusty bread into it.
"By the Maker and Andraste," Cassandra marveled, soaking another hefty chunk of bread in the rich sauce. "Sera, this is incredible. How did you come up with this?"
The girl wiggled in excitement. "Knew you'd love it," she cried, throwing her arms around her. "Just what's needed for a cold day, and there's plenty of those up here, aren't there?"
Cassandra couldn't hide the blush that stained her cheeks, or the embarrassed grin that threatened her lips when Sera popped an intentionally sloppy kiss on her cheek.

I'm currently studying a form of Feral Druidry with some guidance from my former roomie/my good friend, who is a Druid Priest, as well as taking online courses! I started my spiritual path with An Mórrígan from the Irish pantheon. I studied Heathenry for awhile to connect with Hel, whom I still love and work with even if I've shifted in my path more. I incorporate some practice from Cultus Deorum/Roman paganism because I connected with Venus as well last year during Yule! Past those three, who I work with loosely, I also work with the concept of "The Wild" as an overarching theme, they are all the unexplainable energies in my life and push me to challenge myself as much as the Goddess figureheads I love do <3

My fave color is blue -- like, pretty much every shade except navy and that area. I don't really have a fave food? I can't cook worth shit so I kinda just have go-to things that I like. Lmao. I'm worthless there.
Ok ok. Imma go off on my music. I have no specific fave genre because I'm generally hella picky and eclectic so attempting to narrow it down is a waste of time. If I were to play everything I have on my mp3 (yes, I am old school) without putting it into playlists... it's kind of a mess. My mom always laughs because she never knows what's coming when we're on car rides (which is the only time she tolerates my music). I have country, pop, crap pop, 80s, 50s, punk, rock, techno, and stuff I can only describe based off vibe. 😅 I love music so much. I think I'd die if I lost my hearing. So my standards to be my fave artist is that I have to like one full album from start to finish and only 3 artists have ever managed to do that: Linkin Park (A Thousand Suns was the album), Of Monsters and Men, and Dermot Kennedy. ❤
I could probably keep going off on music, but I did wanna answer the writing question, because I'm also passionate about that.
I've been writing fanfiction since I was 13/14 so around 16 years now. I always loved writing before that, and my aunt got me a "make your own book" kit when I was, like, 8 that I loved. I loved writing assignments in school where I could just let my imagination go. (Although, I distinctly remember an assignment in elementary school where we wrote our own books and my teacher criticized the length of the title and I think that's where my fear of creating titles comes from tbh. 🤣) I think finding fanfiction was a plus/minus for me. On the one hand, it really helped me grow and evolve. On the other, I haven't managed to write anything else, really. And nothing with the same passion or enjoyment. As for my favorite personal work? I think I really love "A New Record" from the Sherlock fandom. Idk why exactly. I don't know if I did the topics that I covered in it justice, really. But I think it's just kind of peak emotion and maybe relatability that I'm not sure I've managed to reach in my Hetalia fanfics yet. (My second fave is probably "I asked for Coffee and Got You", from the Hetalia fandom. It's relatable in a different way and it was so much fun to write.)
Anyone else's? It's hard to name a fave because I think my standards are as high as my music, and I'd consider a fave fanfiction one that I'd go back to regardless of what fandom I'm currently in. And nothing comes to mind, unfortunately. (I'm so picky about my tastes. Lmao.)

Trees — What is their comfort items(s) and vice versa?
-For him, definitely his piano and his motorcycle - two BIG comfort items I know sjdgnlgfd but his piano because music is such a huge part of who he is, to play can be many things for him but one of those things is definitely comfort, and his motorcycle because when he needs to clear his head or just have some space he can take it out and ride and have that space! Smaller item though, he will play/fidget with his wedding ring 💕
My comfort items are. All my plushies sjdfgnldfglsdfg holding a plushie makes me feel very secure and calm, I cycle through favorites but there's always at least one (usually more) within my reach! My scythe pendant + wedding ring are also comfort items and I fidget with my ring too - we were actually thinking...our wedding rings are simple silver bands with a piano key pattern on them, and they make rings with a spinning section where the keys are, so for our 10th wedding anniversary in a few years we were thinking about upgrading our rings to those kind =w=
Moss — What is something that reminds you of each other?
-Pianos and scythes remind me the most of him, naturally |D motorcycles too, and jazz piano music!
Black cats and the color red remind him of me, as well as chocolate and plushies |3
Insects — What kind of music do you and your f/o listen to together?
-ALL KINDS. EVERY KIND OF MUSIC jsdnlfjsdfgnsdg both of us have fairly eclectic tastes and listen to a wide range of music, we're always comparing playlists and swapping songs. Jazz, electro swing, and pop punk are probably where we have the MOST overlapping favs tho!
Dirt — How do you two prefer to spend time together?
-We're pretty low-key and just enjoy each other's presence tbh - I'm more of a home body than he is in general so I'm perfectly content sitting on the couch with him playing games or watching silly stuff. He likes to go out a bit more, but nothing too strenuous, usually just taking walks around town together or going grocery shopping together. It's always really fun to be able to take trips together, but we can't afford to do that SUPER often atm, so, really as long as we're together, anything is fair game 💖
Clouds — How do they comfort you & vice versa?
-Soul comforts me with a lot of hugs and cuddles! Physical touch is my biggest comfort, but he'll also talk things out with me if I'm having an anxiety spike because talking through things helps me calm down as well.
Soul is calmed by physical touch as well so I also give him lots of cuddles when he needs them, as well as words of reassurance and support 💖
Bushes — Do they prefer hot, warm, cool, or cold weather?
-WARM weather; he hates being cold |D we are almost diametrically opposed in our weather preferences lmfao, it's gotten warmer here recently and he's all excited while I am. Not excited at all because I hate heat sdfjlgnsdfgn
Mushrooms — What's something funny or chaotic you and your f/o have done together?
-UH I am...not sure??? |D He got me to cut class a couple times when we were still in school but usually it was to go wander around town or shoot hoops together (I am NOT a basketball person but he is so I'd watch him...one memorable occasion he lifted me up so I could make a basket cause I'm usually too short to do so otherwise |3) so nothing too "chaotic" - I'd have to have a think about that, I don't think I'd usually describe any of our adventures as chaotic so I'll have to think of a funny story sdjfnglsfdg
Garden — How would you describe your their vibe?
-COOL of course! 💕 Cool, chill, laid-back, but with a passion underneath; it may not be apparent if you don't know him well, but it's there 💖
Soil - What aesthetic reminds you of them or your bond?
-IDK any of the names of aesthetics nowadays lol but red and black color scheme (plaid, zigzag, and checkerboard patterns specifically), piano or music notation prints, leather jackets, PINSTRIPES - dark and moody stuff with warmth underneath it, if that makes sense???

{Doing this bingo chart thing has really given me a good idea of what this is like. I had a general idea of it before, but I've come to realize there are actually some really crucial points that a potential partner needs to be able to date him, and some of them I've even talked about before and just completely forgot.}
⚀ First and foremost, whoever is coming into his life has to get along with his kids. Be okay with the fact he has kids in the first place, but more than that they have to be on good terms with all of them, too. Joshua especially. If you don't get Joshua's approval you cannot be he partner. If you don't want children, then this isn't the relationship for you. Even though all of his kids are adults, they still come first.
⚀ Branching off of that, the next most important thing a partner has to be aware of and at least willing to accept is that Hanekoma will always love Joshua more. He'll always put Joshua above everyone. Yes, he plays favorites, and Joshua is it. That's his soulmate and Composer, and he will always put Joshua above everyone else. Above all his other children, and above any romantic interests as well.
⚀ Whoever Hanekoma is with has to be deeply and completely in love with him. He's not going to be in a fun or casual relationship, no friends with benefits situation, nothing like that. If someone is going to be a romantic partner they have to be in whole ham and dedicated to him in some way or another.
⚀ While this one isn't an exact requirement, it would probably be very helpful if a potential partner is at least tolerable of Hanekoma's interests or otherwise they might run into an issue quickly. I realized on the bingo cards for example what an issue it would be for those that didn't like jazz. Because he plays it in his house all the time. Now obviously he'll refrain if someone just really hates it, but Hanekoma has eclectic tastes when it comes to music and art, and if someone isn't tolerable of certain genres of things they might have a harder time being around their own partner.
⚀ Any partner with Hanekoma has to learn to at least accept how he runs his business and views the lives of others. Whether that comes in accepting that he doesn't rebel against the HP, or that he doesn't feel squeamish or mournful around death, or that he will put anyone and everything before Shibuya, even sacrificing his own family to ensure its safety. Even if his partner isn't on-board with such outlooks, if they can't be at least tolerable of them, then the relationship likely won't make it very far. Hanekoma is duty before pleasure when it comes to himself and Shibuya, and sometimes that can make him come off as a cold and unfeeling person.

autistic andreil hcs:
neil gets super understimulated in class and he stims by clenching his jaw or chewing on things so he ends up chewing all his pens and pencils to shreds. they look like he was trying to eat them. sometimes he chews all the way through them. when andrew scolds him for it, he's like i can't help it i gotta bite i gotta chomp i just have to. so andrew gets him a teething toy from the baby section at the store, as a joke (or he acts like it's a joke). but neil starts using these, mainly the bigger ones that are kinda squishy and have the lil nibs on them. people look at him weird but he doesn't care. someone is like "is that...a chew toy?" he's like, "yeah my boyfriend got it for me cus i kept chewing on my pens and he was tired of it" and everybody actually finds it kinda cute and funny
andrew cant stand silence, so he makes lil noises when it's too quiet, like tapping or snapping or thumping or whatever. unfortunately, these sounds make neil die inside and he desperately tells andrew to stop. andrew does, because he understands, but then they have to start playing soft music or background noise when they're hanging out in a quiet room together. they settle on lofi and it's actually kinda nice, they find, to listen to lofi and drink coffee and/or study and/or snuggle together, just the two of them.
andrew usually wears noise cancelling airpods 24/7 (my hcs are modern au by default get off my dick) because he likes to block out the sound even if he's not listening to music (also it deters people from trying to interact with him, which is a plus). he buys neil some after the first time he notices neil cringing at a certain noise. later, watching them attached to each other's sides wearing matching armbands, matching airpods, and matching blank expressions become kinda comical (or kinda scary depending on how you look at it)
neil almost exclusively wears oversized fleece-lined sweatshirts as soon as the temperature dips below 75. if he doesn't have any sweatshirts left, like if they're all in the wash or if the only ones he has left Don't Feel Right, he simply won't go to class
nicky introduces him to oversized knitted sweaters, though. which he begins scouting thrift stores for and wearing frequently. nicky got him one that is striped with pastels and was probably knitted by somebody's grandma in the 90s and it's so heavy it's like a weighted blanket. neil wears it at least 3x a week. it's adorable
while andrew has been listening to almost entirely the same music since he was fifteen, neil has adhd as well and thus has very eclectic music taste (this is my experience as someone with both). like he'll make a playlist of like ten songs he likes and listen to only those songs 24/7 for like three weeks. then they start making him feel gross and claustrophobic because he's been listening to them so much so he'll have to find a few songs in a COMPLETELY different genre and then repeat the cycle. so he'll go from like indie pop to death metal to hyperpop to showtunes in the span of like two months. lofi is always a staple for him though, it just doesn't give him the dopamine spike that he gets from other music
(you know what almost always gives him the dopamine spike though? kpop lmao)

Last movie I saw: Watched Frozen 2 with some friends, who managed to make a drinking game out of it--I didn't partake but it was entertaining to watch all the same. Also got to hear each song turned into a drunken sing-along. You just get used to it after a while when your friends are all former theater nerds. Everything can be made into a song if you try hard enough.
Last thing I googled: "Documentaries everyone should watch"--sick at home with a cold rn, and I've been looking for some to binge-watch. It's hard becuase I'm really picky about the narrators and if they sound vaguely irritating, I can't watch them 😂
Favorite musician: Just one? That's really hard to pick, and my music taste is definitely a little eclectic, so I'll go with composers instead--easier to narrow down. Alexandre Desplat and Abel Korzeniowski are two I really adore and Martin Phipps is another favorite. The latter did the soundtracks for the Crown, and they're lovely--I like them for studying when I need background noise.
Song stuck in my head: I Don't Care, Fall Out Boy. I went to one of their concerts recently and it's been stuck in my head since (along with This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race).
Other blogs: Don't have one, I've thought about it, but one is already hard to stay on top of and I have classes starting soon. So I definitely don't need any more distractions 😅
Blogs Following: 150-ish? I should probably go through those pretty soon and pare out some of the really inactive ones.
Amount of sleep: It depends on whether I'm in classes or on break, but generally speaking not enough. I was averaging 4-5 when I was working in a bakery/trying to juggle classes and now it's more like 6-7. Someday I'll maybe get 8-9 (I hope--I'm bad at sleep though, especially when I'd rather be gaming or talking to people on Discord).

What I’m wearing: Red sleep shorts and a tank top that says "exercise your demons" with a little demon stretching on the front of it--it's a lazy sick day on the couch/working from home so not putting too much effort into it.
Dream Job: Archivist or curator for a big museum or archive. I'd love something that allows me to work with art/history, and gives me the opportunity to travel--and maybe get some writing in there too. It's something I feel passionately about, and being able to make a living doing it would be even better~
Dream Trip: Oh man, there are so many places. Ireland/the UK is on my list--so many cool places to visit (castles please) and manuscripts to look at! And a lot of pretty nature too. Or places like Greece/Spain/France--so much cool history, and architecture (and the very good food is definitely a bonus). If we're talking inside the US, I'd love to explore the East Coast a bit more and visit some of the national parks--most of my visits there have been in the cities, and I'd like to do some more hiking. The west coast (Washington/British Columbia/Alaska) is also on my list for the same reason. Anywhere I can explore and take pretty pictures, really.
Languages: English and (terrible) Spanish. Probably going to be auditing classes for Latin/Ancient Greek in the future to help with my degree.
Favorite Food: Mm it's hard to pick but I'm a sucker for anything sweet. I love a cup of coffee with biscotti or a shortbread cookie, or any sort of pastry with cream and fruit. On the more savory side, curries are one of my go-tos, especially Thai curry.
Favorite Song: I definitely cannot pick just one, but my favorite genre lately has been Blues/Blues-Rock so Black Keys has been one I've been listening to a lot of. Barnes Courtney too.
Random Fact: One of the first video games I've ever played was Bomberman Tournament, followed by Pokemon Silver. One of my older cousins had a gameboy he'd let me play, so that's definitely how it started. The soundtracks from those are still so nostalgic 💖 Also have good memories of watching family play the original version of OOT, or Super Mario World on the SNES (and giving me a controller so I'd feel included). The hobby definitely started young 😅 but it's definitely still one of my favorite things to do with friends.
Describe yourself as an aesthetic thing: Hard to describe? Low-key goth/artsy probably, but still comfy. I love slouchy beanies and cozy scarves and oversized flannels, and long, drapy sweaters, or overshirts. Lots of black, reds and gray 💖 Leather jackets, and boots too 👌
