“Y/N! Come eat your lunch!” your mom yells at you through the open back door.

“Coming, Mommy!” your 5-year-old self yells back, standing up from where you were playing with your toys. You dust yourself off and get ready to take off to your house when a whimper of an animal stops you.

“Hello?” you whisper, looking around trying to see where the whimper came from.

You hear noise in the bushes when a little brown pup comes popping out from it. The pup tackles you and licks all over your face.

“Oh!” you giggle as its tongue tickles you. It whimpers again, and you tilt your head in confusion. “Oh! You must be hungry!” The puppy wags its tail, and you smile wide, heading inside to eat lunch with your new friend.

“Look, mommy!” Your mom hums softly as she fixes your plate. “I got a new friend!” you giggle causing her to whip around as she was frightened to see who you had brought into the house.

“Get that animal out of here!” your mom raises her voice at you, swatting at the little pup that you were carrying in your arms.

“But mommy!” you whine. “It’s a puppy and it’s hungy!”

“It’s not! It’s a big bad wolf,” she sternly tells you. “Go leave it outside right this instant!”

You pout and head back out with the wolfie whining in your arms. You place it on the ground, and it tugs at the bottom of your pants. “I sorry but stay out here. I will get you something to eat and to get you better, okay?”

The wolf whines and tugs you towards the bush it had leaped out of earlier. You eventually allow it to drag you without resistance, and it takes you behind the bush only for you to find a little nest filled with more wolfies.

“Woah,” you say in fascination, reaching out to pet one of them.

A gray one laying on top of the pile yelps and growls at you, scaring you. You jump back and land on your bottom causing your eyes to water and your bottom lip to wobble.

The brown wolf snarls at the gray wolf and stands protectively in front of you.

You look at the black wolfie that barely turns his head towards you during the commotion. A white wolfie whines quietly and lays its head on top of the black wolfie’s stomach.

“Aw, did this cute wolfie get hurt?” you innocently ask as you dry your tears with the back of your hand. “I can be like a doctor and nurse you back to health and help you get better and feed you lots of food!” Your rambles got interrupted by your mother’s screams.

“Y/N?!” your mom screams frantically. “Where did you go?”

“Here, mommy!” you yell back to her. “I’ll be right back wolfies! Don’t worry!”

As soon as you head back inside, the gray wolf shifts into a little boy. “I told you that you should stay hidden at all costs.”

The brown wolf also shifts into a little boy. “I know, Hyunwoo Hyung. But she can help us!”

Hyunwoo shakes his head, “Listen to me, Hoseokie. She can’t do anything for us. She is younger than us! Plus, she couldn’t randomly bring 1 ‘puppy’ into her home, let alone 7! She got in trouble for it already!”

“I know what I am doing, hyung! Leave it to me now. I must do whatever it takes to save Changkyunnie.”

Zoning out a lot, trying to understand his feelings more when he just blurts out what was on his mind. Because you guys are close, he could tell you anything, right?

“No, no its fine. I know you obviously dont like me and it’s okay, i just wanted to get it off my chest. Im sorry i made you uncomfortable.”

He was already on the verge of tears, but when you tell him you love him, more than just friends, he just bursts out crying ♡

JUNMIN ☆

Just goes along with it

Holds your hand, puts his arm around your shoulder. Refuses to call you by your name but babe

Likes that your getting flustered because hes screaming on the inside

Gets so into his role that he leans into you, your noses touching and hes about to kiss you. Until wait a minute and just pulls back with a sheepish smile

Daydreams for the rest of the day about the almost kiss. And when he drops you to your house, he finally does it ♡

Freezes; were you reading his thoughts? Were you able to somehow see his dreams? H-how did you know??

He tries to play it cool even though his face is burning red. "Y-yeah.. that'll be crazy right?! Haha.." he clears his throat

But to his dismay, you already knew about the massive crush he had on you, as he was very obvious

So you use that to your advantage, scooting extra close to him, your hands shadowing over his small ones

"I like you too, stupid." You would laugh, placing a soft kiss on his cheek as his face gets even redder ♡

JINSIK ☆

"Yeah, imagine if we were dating." He would take it as a joke, lying down and fantasizing about your lifes as a couple

"I would take you to this hot air balloon festival, since i know you've always wanted to go."

Has this smile on his face until he stops; were you actually serious?

You had to be joking, there was no way this was directed to him, right?

Almost stops breathing and his mouth is dropped open when you kiss his cheek. "I like you, jinsik." ♡

HYUNWOO ☆

Your question honestly made him sad

Because wdym “what if you were dating?” no, he didnt want to pretend. He wanted to live his dreams, he wanted to be with you

So he gets a little quiet, looking down as hes lost in his thoughts, a little teary eyed

Snaps out of it when you call his name, and would say he’s okay even though you know he’s lying

So with all courage, you confess to him. And when you’re done, he’d pour his heart out to you ♡

He’s completely taken aback, the silence making you feel a little uneasy

“B-but i mean.” wouldnt even let you talk without pressing his lips against yours, his face completely red but he doesnt care

Would kiss you again if you tried to talk, getting to the point where hes just peppering your face with kisses

Would have the whole rant about how much he loves you

Then it would be your turn to cut him off with a kiss ♡

Minjae:

He'd have thought about it and planned it out in his head for a long time, but despite that he's still nervous and shaky when the time comes, cupping your face with trembling hands with eyes glued to your lips

A slow lean in with some hesitation. His breath would be shaky too, as well as heavy and hot as it spreads over your lips only inches from his

His face would be red as a tomato, but yours wouldn't be any better, and your blushing would reassure him that you were just as nervous as him to finally do this

His lips would brush yours and after a few moments of hesitation, he'd really press them together, savouring the feeling of your soft lips that he's yearned for for so long. Although, it'd be 10x better than he ever imagined

He'd only be able to speak one word after you two have pulled away from each other. “Wow…” he'd murmur, unable to tear his eyes from your lips, pink and slightly parted. You two would sit like that for a while, just admiring each other full of love and adoration

Junmin:

He'd hesitate so much, almost not doing it at all out of fear you don't actually want it as much as he does. It'd take you grasping his face and pulling him down to your level to convince him

A shiver would run through his body as you whisper to him “kiss me…please…”. He'd swallow anxiously before placing his hands on your hips and pulling you against him, his nose brushing yours and making a pink tint spread over his face

“You sure…?” He'd ask in a deep raspy voice, his eyes stuck to your lips in a way that tells you how desperate he is to feel them on his. He's so considerate, making sure over and over that it's something you really want

Once his lips finally touch yours, he's gone, one of his hands coming up to hold the back of your head as he quickly deepens the kiss, testing the limits of how far you'll let him go by taking small nibbles at your lip and running his tongue between your lips

When he finally pulls back (if he even does) you'd both be so out of breath, panting while looking into each other's half-closed eyes. Neither of you would have any words, you overwhelmed by his sudden passion, and him still lost in how much better that felt than he'd ever imagined

Sumin:

He's not the kind of person to plan these things, always just follows the flow of the mood. You'd be hanging out watching movies on his bed one day and you'd be goofing around. One thing leads to another and you're on your back with him looking down at you, knees either side of your body.

He'd lean down slowly, getting swept up in the way your heavy breath sounds and the red tint of your face. He'd lean his forehead on yours, looking for that last bit of consent to do what he's been itching to do for God knows how long

You'd be looking up at him, his face an expression you've never seen before, making your heart pound like crazy. You'd take a deep breath before closing your eyes, giving him that consent

He wouldn't waste a single moment, quickly closing the gap between you two, kissing you with a passion you didn't expect, making you reach up and grip his shirt for support. After what seemed like forever of deep, passionate kisses, you'd feel him smile against your lips right before pulling away

He'd stare down at you, a wide smile on his face and a loving gaze that makes your face heat up. He'd lean down and pepper kisses all over your face, just so happy he finally has you

Jinsik:

He'd be a mess, having planned out how he's going to make a move the night before. You'd notice him blushing, sweating, and stuttering through his words, asking him if he's alright. That's when you'd notice his eyes constantly flitting down to your lips, his face growing redder and redder the closer you get to him

At the end of the day, you might have to make the move for him, he's just too shy and hesitant. He'd freeze as you say his name softly, eyes wide and shaky. You'd bring your hands up to grasp his face gently, watching as the realisation of what's happening fills his eyes

Not knowing what else to do, he'd squeeze his eyes shut while leaning forward slightly, completely melting when he finally feels your soft lips on his.

You'd be shocked at the way his lips move in reciprocation, clumsily of course, but sweetly, his hands grabbing yours and his thumbs rubbing over your knuckles

It'd feel like you'd been kissing for hours when you finally disconnect from each other, when in reality it's only been a few minutes. You'd look back at him, a red hue on your face and a small smile stretching over your lips. You'd watch happily as his dazed face turns to a wide, gummy smile, his cheeks round and pink before he wraps his arms around your waist and nuzzles his face into your neck

Hyunwoo:

Definitely a “rip the band aid off” kind of guy. You'd stare at each other for a little too long, tension thick in the air, and suddenly his hands are on your face and his lips are slapped to yours before he can think too hard about it

His eyes would be squeezed so tightly shut, afraid of your reaction to his sudden action. Although, when he feels you melt into his hold, lips puckering against his, his mind would go completely fuzzy, all thoughts leaving him except for the thought that your lips feel so good on his

You'd end up pulling away when a soft groan escapes from between his lips, fluttering and shocking you. You'd look up at him, a dazed expression on his face that slowly turns to horror as he realises that he got way too invested and made a weird sound. You'd have to reassure him that it's okay, that you don't think he's weird and you just got flustered

He'd bury his face against your shoulder, immediately confessing all his feelings in a ramble that comes out muffled because of the position he's in. You can't help but giggle as you listen, feeling so full of love for him

He'd pick his head up again and let out a squeak when you quickly press another soft kiss to his lips before telling him how much you love him too and telling him that he's so cute

Junghoon:

Another one that wouldn't plan, just following the tension of the moment and picking up subtle signals you give him that you want to kiss him as much as he wants to kiss you

You'd both end up leaning in at the same time, confidently knowing that you and him want the same thing and not wasting time to get it. His hands would quickly be buried in your hair as his lips covered yours, gentle yet sensual in their movements, like he's trying to convey all the emotions he feels but can't convert through words

You'd just kiss so lovingly like that over and over, not escalating but not slowing down either. His hands would be moving from your hair, to your waist, to your cheek, to down your arm, to the small of your back, and back up to your hair again, getting carried away in the moment

He wouldn't even realise how red his face would've gotten, but you'd see it when you finally pull away. Blushing Junghoon: a sight you don't often see that'd make you smile and giggle, making him blush even redder from embarrassment

He'd begin silently pinching your cheeks, making you giggle more and fake whine, begging him to stop. When he stops, he'd look down at you so loving, the ghost of a smile on his face, before leaning down and kissing you one last time

Seeun:

The type to announce what he wants to you, being confident that you feel the same and enjoying how flustered you get by his direct approach. One hand on your waist, the other on your cheek, he'd lean in and whisper “I really want to kiss you right now…”

He'd look so smooth, composed, and bold on the outside, but on the inside his mind is running wild. He just wants your lips on his as soon as possible, barely able to peel his eyes away from them for a single moment. His heart would be beating like crazy and the back of his neck would be burning hot with only a slight pink tint showing on his face

You'd nod softly, closing your eyes tightly and he wouldn't waste a single second before closing the gap, squeezing your waist and moving his hand to the back of your head, massaging through your hair as his lips press harder and harder to yours

The type to pull out all the techniques he knows for the first kiss, switching between nibbling and gently sucking on your bottom lip as you grip the front of his shirt for dear life

Your lips would separate with a loud smack. You'd feel completely weak in the knees, being held up by him gripping your waist. His breaths would be closer to pants, heavy and hot as he begins to calm down. It'd be one of the first times you'd ever seen him lose his cool over something, the realisation giving you butterflies knowing that's the effect you have on him. You'd end up with your head buried in his chest out of shyness after looking up into his face and watching him run his tongue over his lips, still teasing you to the very end

Yujun:

Would not only be his first kiss with you, but also his first kiss in general, making him extra nervous. He would've planned everything out in detail, but when it actually comes to it, he forgets all his plans from how dazed he is, he lowkey forgets his own name

He'd be zoning out and you'd call his name over and over to get his attention. When he finally looks at you, he's wearing an expression you've never seen. Slightly upturned eyebrows, pink cheeks, glossy eyes looking down at you, lips pulled together tightly, his tongue coming out to hydrate them before quickly going back in. You could tell he was nervous but you wouldn't be able to tell why until you notice him staring at your lips while licking his own unconsciously

You wouldn't want to overwhelm him, so you'd carefully ask him “...Do you…want to kiss me…?” Your own heart beating at a million miles an hour while praying you're correct and don't make a fool out of yourself. You'd know you're right when his face goes from a light pink to a deep red, his bottom lip catching between his teeth before he nods shyly, looking away from you

You'd take his head in your hands, turning him towards you and slowly pulling it down towards you, his eyes going wide. He'd quickly mumble about how he's never kissed anyone before and how it'll be bad but you'd cut him off by covering his mouth with yours. His kiss would be clumsy, but sweet, his movements showing you that he's trying his best

It would only last a moment before you pull away, letting his head go and looking down at the floor, embarrassed by your own bold move. You'd both be standing there in silence, you staring at the floor and him with his face bright red and tips of his fingers pressing at his lips, in shock of how good it felt to really kiss someone

Hunter:

He'd flow into it so naturally, not overthinking it, or planning it out like crazy. He just sees your lips, wants to kiss you, and does it. No stumbling or stuttering or anything. Although he would ask before he does it

You two would be sitting watching a movie on the couch together, huddled closely under a blanket as you're already pretty aware of how you feel about each other, but neither of you have really said it out loud. He'd glance at you, making you glance back at him, your eyes meeting and holding eye contact for a moment. Before you know it, his eyes are on your lips rather than making eye contact with you and his hand is caressing your cheek, thumb running over the blush forming on your face

He'd lean in so naturally, his nose brushing with yours before he'd stop for a moment, looking at you through half-lidded eyes. “Can I?” he'd ask carefully, not specifying what he wants but don't have to ask to know what he's implying

You'd nod, slowly shutting your eyes and receiving the gentlest, kindest, nicest kiss you've ever felt. A kiss so soft you can feel the emotion behind it, but still full and deep enough that you can feel the passion he has for you and the want behind his actions

He'd pull away as softly and slowly as he approached, nuzzling his forehead against yours with his signature soft princely smile on his face, making the butterflies in your stomach go wild. “I like you so much…” he'd say, kissing your cheeks and forehead quickly before leaning back and putting his attention back on the movie. You'd smile when you saw the very red tips of his ears, realising he's not actually as smooth as he acts

Yechan:

He'd do it in the heat of the moment, but not out of tension or anything. He'd do it when you're joking around, teasing each other. You'd shove him playfully, smiling widely up at him while giggling. Suddenly his hands would cup your face and he'd be pressing his own smiley lips to yours, puckered slightly awkwardly but in a way that makes your heart race from preciousness

You'd hold his own face with your hands, keeping him close as you two kiss over and over, happy, smiley, and giggly over each other. You'd be kissing like it wasn't your first kiss, like you'd been together for months, but in reality you're just so comfortable and close that it's so easy for you two

After pulling away, you'd both just stare and smile at each other for a second, faces equally beet red and smiles equally as wide and goofy. He'd suddenly wrap his arms around you, burying his head in your neck while gigging you the tightest hug ever, just so happy

He'd be repeating “I love you, I love you” over and over, and you'd be lucky to pry him off you. You wouldn't want to, though, as happy and giddy as he is

Afterwards, he'd go rant about it to all the other guys, about how it was so perfect and magical and about how he just loves you so much and couldn't live without you. It's when he starts going into the details of exactly how your lips felt that they'd shut him up and lock him out

your face fell as you thought about the fight between you and your best friend. ever since you went out with hyunwoo, she has been unhappy with him. she told you that hyunwoo gaslighted and manipulated you for quite a while, and you were upset.

to you, hyunwoo is the perfect boyfriend. he is handsome and kind, he respects your decisions and is also well-liked among your classmates. well, except for your best friend.

"did you fight with sohee again?" hyunwoo sighed, taking your hand into his. you gave him a sad smile. "i don't know why she has so much against you, oppa." you said sadly. "and the others... have been leaving me out of a lot of activities." "it's okay. you have me by your side." hyunwoo pulled your hand up to his lips, pressing them against your cool skin gently. you blushed a little at his actions, and he smiled. "you can depend on me, baby."

"thank you, oppa." you said. hyunwoo flicked your nose lovingly. "anything for you, baby."

that's right. depend on him. only depend on him. hyunwoo's eyes traveled to the top of your head. why do you need friends, when you have him?

Despite the shitshow that happened last night, you make it to work on time and properly dressed. You make your way straight to your boss's office to ask for your tasks for the day. Unable to keep your normally cheery persona, he notices and asks whether you're alright.

Releasing a deep sigh, you confess, "Last night wasn't fun. I'm sorry for letting it affect my attitude at work, sir."

"Do not apologize. Life happens. If you don't mind me asking, what happened last night?"

Shocked that he's taking an interest in your personal life, you quickly explain that your now ex-boyfriend blew up at you and left you crying on the side of the road. You can see his agitation through his white knuckles and clearly visible neck veins, so you try not to mention that the man you're talking about is a coworker, but it seems he already knows.

"And he has the gall to prance in here happily like nothing happened? How dare he treat you this way."

Something about the care in his words makes you release the tears you've been fighting all morning. He nonchalantly passes you the tissue box and waits silently for you to finish crying before speaking again.

"You know, you look real pretty when you cry. Although I never want your tears to fall from heartbreak like this, I find it fascinating that you remain gorgeous despite being in such a vulnerable state."

Dissecting his words, you begin to wonder whether Shownu has thought of you outside of the innocent idea of coworkers. Your mind connects so many dots that may or may not actually mean anything - the proximity of your ex's desk to Shownu's office, your promotion from intern directly to his personal secretary, the number of tasks he gives that keeps you in his sight.

Without thinking, you blurt out, "Sir, do you like me?"

Caught off guard, he stands up and begins pacing the room. Looking out the window and seeing your ex-boyfriend sitting there, however, gives him the resolve to answer.

"Yes. I have for a while. Sometimes, I want you so bad it hurts. There are times where I've had to leave because my thoughts for you grew inappropriate for work." Without removing his glare from the man on the opposite side of the glass, he admits to everything.

Your curiosity getting the better of you, you question, "Like what?"

He turns around to look you directly in the eye as he answers, "I wanna fuck you right against the glass so everyone can see how good you take it. I want to show that idiot out there what he lost."

Looking out at the crew, you find most of the cubicles empty, with everyone out for morning meetings except for your ex. Eager to repay the pain he gave you, you smirk and ask whether your boss is telling the truth. After confirming with him, you take a step forward, take his hand in yours, and tell him to prove it quickly, before the meetings end. Without hesitation, he pulls your face to his and relishes in the taste of your lips. By the time I got home I didn't have the strength for anything. Frustration was eating me up inside and the salty tears were starting to show at the corners of my eyes. I opened the door to my flat, which seemed heavier than usual, and dropped my backpack on the way to my room.

"Hey, you're here already!" Hunter, who was on his way to the kitchen, greeted me with a smile, which soon dissipated when he saw my sad face. "Are you okay?" He said, gently caressing one of my cheeks with the back of his hand. I shook my head.

"I had a disastrous day, basically," I said, leaning my head on his shoulder.

"Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?" He asked, concerned. "You don't have to tell me anything if you don't want to. We can lie in bed for a while until you feel better" He suggested, rubbing circles on the back of my hand. His head was tilted slightly to one side and he looked at me with a little comforting smile. "Come on, let's go," He said, lightly squeezing my hand.

Hunter uncovered the bed and climbed in. Then it was me. He turned to the side and we were facing each other. He was so endearing to watch. I could never get tired of it. His beautiful dark eyes, that looked at mine like they were the only ones in the entire world, were the most beautiful sight in the universe. Well, his simile was also the most precious. He made me feel in a way that no one ever had.

Our foreheads were pressed together, seeking each other's affection. Our eyes were closed, but the feeling of security I felt next to him didn't disappear. And I didn't hesitate to tell him how good I felt. Perhaps it was the only thing I said that whole evening.

"I'm glad I can make you feel safe" He said, pulling apart. Suddenly, he pulled the covers of the bed over us. Surprised, I looked at him.

"Don't you think it gives it a different atmosphere?" He questioned "Cosier".

He started pecking my nose, then my cheeks, my forehead and my lips. He stayed there longer, kissing them softly, as if he was afraid of breaking them.

Hyunwoo was always on the calmer side. Easy to chat with, funny at random times, and levelheaded. It’s why Y/N fell in love with the man. Not only did he know how to make her laugh extremely hard when not even trying, but the man was sometimes in his own universe.

She had figured accepting his offer to join him and his groupmates for a night out would be enjoyable. After all, they were all collectively hilarious when given a proper chance, and having all seven of them in a room paired with alcohol was always a treat.

With a drink in her hand and the bar counter holding her up, she enjoyed the slight buzz as she watched Minhyuk and Jooheon take up the dance floor as if they were the only two. It was rather funny because, of course, they weren’t. They were somewhat oblivious that they were getting dirty looks from the crowd around them as their arms were thrown in the air, entirely off-beat for the song that was playing.

Y/N had known it would only be a matter of time before Hyunwoo would step in to calm them down and hopefully stop the encouraging shouts from Kihyun and Hyungwon.

Her eyes scanned the area, trying to look for her lover but to no avail. Glancing around, she noticed he had seemingly disappeared into the crowd. She wasn’t sure how long he had been gone or where he went. Pushing herself away from the bar, she did her best to try to find the male.

“Hello, beautiful,” The sudden voice whispered into her ear surprised her. Whipping her face around, she was greeted by a very drunken Hyunwoo. His brown eyes were laced with excitement, and what she could guess was some drive to get her. “You here alone?”

The question had her snort. This side of Monsta X’s leader was rare to see. Flirty and without a care in the world. Her smile was hard to hide as he waited patiently for her answer, just as he does when sober.

“We literally came here together, Hyunwoo.” Y/N snorted, watching as her lover’s face morphed into surprise.

“How do you know my name?” His shocked tone had the girl laughing even harder. He stared into space, trying to remember in his drunken daze if he had said anything to her about who he was. “I was staring at you all night. You’re so beautiful.”

The scene in front of her was hilarious. She enjoyed watching her lover jump from one thing to another in a few seconds.

“Are you perhaps single?” He questioned, scooting closer to her. With how close he was to her, she could smell the alcohol that laced his breath.

“I’m not.” She watched as his shoulders fell in defeat, “God, you are on another level when you’re drunk, Nunu. I love it. You’re my boyfriend.”

Watching his posture change the second he heard her say that he was her boyfriend, the look on his face became more smug, not unafraid to touch her.

“I knew that.” He waved his free hand aimlessly as his other one wrapped around her shoulder, “Just wanted to test you.”

She knew that he did, in fact, not know that. She snorted, glancing away from her partner.

“The room is spinning, but your face is pretty clear. You’re absolutely gorgeous.” Hyunwoo spoke up, gripping the bar to keep himself upright. “Can I get your number?”

She stayed silent, glancing at her lover and then back at the other intoxicated members. The smile that slowly inched her face caused Hyunwoo to grin triumphantly. She wasn’t sure how she would manage to watch seven grown drunken men, but she knew she could manage. After all, Hyunwoo could manage watching six of them.

An awkward pause followed before Hyunwoo asked, “You love me?”

You looked at him, startled and nervous. “What? Who said that?” He had that classic lost look as he slowly processed the words. You panicked, mind racing to come up with something to cover your dumb ass mouth. “You’re hearing things.”

“How?” He gestured at the car’s dashboard. “We’re the only ones here. The radio’s off. I know I’m getting old, but not that old.”

You groaned and covered your face. “Okay, so…pretend you didn’t hear that. Just, I dunno, act like nothing happened.”

And he was quiet. For a few blissful moments, you believed that was the end of it and you could go back to your pitiful secret pining. After all, it was easier to be a friend than no one at all.

But Hyunwoo loved playing Captain Save-A-Hoe.

“I hope you didn’t mean that,” he whispered.

You flinched, and for the briefest second, your mask of indifference slipped. “Yeah.” You forced a laugh. “You know me. Always joking around and exaggerating. Just…ignore me, I guess.”

“He’s just upstairs in his room, hun,” the woman's lips curled into a sweet smile as she pointed towards the carpeted staircase. Cocking her finger to the right, she continues. “The first door to your right.”

“Thank you,” you beamed, flashing a grin at the woman before pivoting on your feet and trailing up the stairs. It was funny; when the woman first opened the door for you, and you asked to see her son, she didn’t forget to follow up with the question of are you two friends? You simply nodded, her demeanor too sweet for the truth.

The woman’s son wasn’t your friend. In reality, it was Kim Hyunwoo—your currently sick lab partner, who always managed to make you go insane.

The door creaked open, exposing a ray of sunlight capable of blinding the masses. The room was cluttered, though you expected nothing less from your tardy labmate. Clothes were scattered across the floor and his desk chair, his bag gaping open as papers were practically flying out of it. An array of cups and soda cans were on display atop his bedside table—no wonder he had caught a cold. As your eyes continue to scan Kim Hyunwoo’s room, a figure shoots up, shaking the bed that they laid down in.

“y/n? What are you doing here?” Hyunwoo asked, his voice shaky and soft, with coughs lining his words—it managed to stay on your mind. Your chest sank to the floor; you were starting to feel bad for Hyunwoo.

“H-hey” You stutter, forgetting to answer his question. You shove the stack of paper to his chest. “Mr. Choi asked me to drop these off for you. It’s everything you’ve missed when you were gone.”

“Oh” He leaned back. He huffed out a chuckle, catching your attention. “You actually did it? I thought you didn't like me.”

You thought back to all the chemistry classes; classes where you’d lecture him on the smallest details. You wince. It was easy to think that, you suppose.

“That’s not true,” You add on anyways. “Now get some rest. I think you’re more annoying when you’re sick.”

Hyunwoo only nodded affirmatively before sinking into the sea of his bed covers. You look around once more, only now noticing the sky-rocketing thermometer levels, and the cup of hot tea scattered across his bedside table, just left of the soda cans. With a hitch of your breath, you sink down, your figure now at eye level with Hyunwoo’s as he laid down. You watched as Hyunwoo’s eyes remained shut, his breathing gaining volume with each huff. You presumed it was from the clogging of his nose.

It was weird; you were intrigued to see this new side of Hyunwoo. A side of him so calm and peaceful. For some reason, you didn’t mind being near him right now.

Finally realizing that you probably looked like a creep, you shot up from your seat. It was getting late anyways, you should probably head home to do some studying. As you turn around, however, you feel a slight tug at the hem of your shirt. You pivot back, only to see Kim Hyunwoo, face halfway hidden in the covers, with his arm stretched out at you—pulling you towards him.

“Could you stay a bit longer?” His voice was softer than a cloud.

A ⇴ ATTENTION

He was very protective of you and so Hyunwoo would mainly have his attention watching over you because he wanted to make sure that you were safe, and so that he could step in if you were feeling uncomfortable at all.

B ⇴ BICKER

The two of you didn’t tend to bicker too much with each other as you got older. Hyunwoo hated bickering with you because he was used to being the leader mainly and trying to be mature about situations, whereas bickering reminded him of how he used to be as a kid before he took on all of his responsibility.

C ⇴ COMFORT

One of the best things about having Hyunwoo as a best friend was that he was always right by your side whenever you needed comforting. He always knew exactly what to do, whether that was give you some space or a hug or sit and silence or talk things through with you, he did whatever you wanted to do.

D ⇴ DISAGREEMENTS

There was a very little chance that Hyunwoo would let the two of you disagree about something for too long, he was used to having to squash arguments between the other members in the group and did the exact same with you too. Most of the time he’d end up deciding that the two of you should do what you want to do as he didn’t want an unnecessary argument to start between the two of you when he felt otherwise.

E ⇴ EARLY YEARS

You found yourself trusting in Hyunwoo pretty much from the start of your relationship which meant that you relied on him a lot. He cared about you a lot because he found himself getting along with you so well and enjoying your company, and so he would often stay by your side when the two of you went out, even if you were with other people, because he loved to protect you and see you smiling.

F ⇴ FAMILY

Hyunwoo’s family got along with you incredibly well, it was pretty impossible for them not to like you with how much Hyunwoo talked about you to them. They were beyond happy that Hyunwoo had a best friend who made him smile as much as you did, and ever since the first time that they had all met you they could all see exactly why Hyunwoo had decided that you would be his best friend, adoring his personality.

G ⇴ GETTING TOGETHER

Most of the time when the two of you met up with one another you would try and do it pretty privately, as Hyunwoo especially didn’t want any hassle following you. He tried his best to always keep you away from any danger and so usually tried to keep your time together at the dorm where you could be comfortable.

H ⇴ HABITS

The two of you had a habit of having the same routine pretty much anytime the two of you went out together. Coffee was always a must for the two of you, and it would never be too long before Hyunwoo would complain that he was hungry too so you’d stop for food before heading back down to the dorm.

I ⇴ INSIDE JOKES

To make sure that the two of you didn’t forget your inside jokes, you kept a jar underneath your bed, filled with pieces of paper where you had written your inside jokes so that the two of you could always remind yourselves of the funny moments in your friendship by looking back through the jar together.

J ⇴ JEALOUSY

There weren’t many times when Hyunwoo would get jealous as your best friend, he liked to know more than anything that you had other people looking out for you too. Even around those friends of yours that he had known for several years though, Hyunwoo still couldn’t help himself but to be protective of you, keeping those friends at arm’s length most of the time so that he could be the one closest to you.

K ⇴ KICKS

Hyunwoo got a kick out of seeing you do well, he was your biggest supporter in everything that you did, and he loved to see you succeed. Whether it was something big, like a promotion, or something small like managing to drive to work without getting nervous, he was always rooting for you and feeling proud too.

L ⇴ LOVE

He loved that he had you as an escape from being an idol more than anything else, and how you always managed to stop Hyunwoo from thinking about work for a little while. When you could tell that the music was particularly playing on Hyunwoo’s mind then you would invite him to your place for the evening and do everything that you could to remind him to just be human for a bit and stop feeling the pressure.

M ⇴ MEETING

The two of you met in a dance class when you were younger, with Hyunwoo asking you if you wanted a bit of help when you failed to pick up a move. He made it look easy, managing to help you get it down, and sticking by your side for the rest of the class, more than happy to help again if you needed him.

Whilst Hyunwoo had to be the leader and behave for most of the time, when he was around you, all of that was forgotten. He loved being able to relax and let go of anything whenever he spent time with you.

Hyunwoo was obsessed with your personality and how well it complimented his personality. Everyone always passed comment on how well the two of you seemed to get along like two peas in a pod together.

The moments that meant the most to Hyunwoo were the ones when you were there to see him doing well. His heart raced whenever he knew that you were at a show or on your way to support him during filming for something, often being that spark that he needed to smile, even when he was feeling exhausted.

If he needed help, especially with work, then Hyunwoo would turn to you. He hated turning to the people at work because he didn’t want them to think that he couldn’t do it, whereas you would never judge him.

Before he enlisted into the military, Hyunwoo surprised you with a scrapbook that he had made to represent your years of friendship. Many of your favourite memories were included in it, with things like tickets and receipts stuck onto the pages too, many of which you were surprised to see that he had remembered.

Having your support meant the world to Hyunwoo, and he never let you forget that either. Stuttering while trying to ask why you did that, his eyes constantly darting back to the part of the straw your lips just touched, blushing even harder thinking about how you'd just put your mouth on the straw that he'd also put his mouth on

Eyes dropping down to your lips every now and then as you giggle at his panic, finding him cute and innocent

Would be very hesitant to keep drinking it afterwards, being too flustered by the fact he'd be putting his lips somewhere your lips had been

Good luck with actually kissing him, he'll be a mess of stuttering and blushing like crazy

Junmin:

The man would freeze, literally, you'd be waving your hand in front of his very red face and he'd just be unresponsive. Lights are on, no one's home

His mind is in chaos. He's screaming and giggling and crying on the inside all at once all while you're standing there like “Junmin? Hellooooo? Anyone home?”

One of the thoughts running through his head would just be “I should kiss them right now”. He won't be able to stop thinking about it. Seeing the way your lips wrapped around the straw that he'd used already made his desire to kiss you sky-rocket

Confused at first, just staring at you. He probably wouldn't realise the implications at all first, wouldn't immediately think of the whole “indirect kiss” thing

You might have to whisper to him that you technically just indirectly kissed him, and once he hears that he'll be a blushing and smiling mess

Would insist that he doesn't care about that kind of thing but he'd be smiling and blushing so much, literally giggling and kicking his feet

His eyes would keep lingering on your lips but he wouldn't say anything, he's too much of a gentleman

You'd have to notice on your own and make the move, and once you do, his head would just be spinning. He'd pull you in shyly, kissing you with a smile on his face

Hyunwoo:

Another one that wouldn't immediately know what an indirect kiss is. You'd literally have to explain to him that you put your mouth on something he'd put his mouth on, therefore making in and indirect kiss

Once he understands, he'd be stuttering and blushing, insisting that it's stupid and means absolutely nothing

King of trying to hide his flusteredness by just rambling about how silly it is and how only silly people would believe in something like that

His rambling would be his own downfall, and he'd end up spitting out something like “what's the point of this stupid indirect kiss when you could just kiss me directly-”

He'd blush but you'd just smile and kiss him, keeping your eyes open to watch his go wide with shock and his face go even redder

Junghoon:

I'm almost convinced he just wouldn't care. He'd hand you the rest of the drink assuming you wanted it with his signature straight face

You'd explain to him the whole point and what an indirect kiss is and what you were trying to do and he'd just be like “Oh. You're cute.” With a small smile

From then on he'd always offer you a sip of his drinks, whispering “indirect kiss?” as he hands it to you and you'd just giggle at his cuteness

One day you'd decide to catch him off guard. He'd do his usual thing, handing the drink to you and whispering and you'd just reach up, grab his face and kiss him directly, his eyes going wide

As you'd pull back, it'd be the first time you'd really seen him with a really different expression from his usual one. His cheeks would be a soft pink and his ears would be just bright red. His lips would be parted slightly in shock and his eyes would be so wide you were convinced they'd pop out from their sockets

Seeun:

He'd somehow catch you before you were going to do it, snatching the drink away before you could get to it. He'd proceed to laugh, telling you that you need to be more stealthy to get him with that

And so starts the saga of trying to steal sips of his drink without him noticing. Any chance you'd get where you see him with a drink with a straw in it, you'd sneak up and pounce

One day, he'd be super distracted by something and you'd end up actually getting it, to which he'd smirk at you and look into your eyes before leaning down and taking a sip of it himself, holding the eye contact the whole time

He'd smirk as you go red from him turning the tables on you, and he'd just chuckle and poke you on the forehead teasingly

He'd land the final blow by saying “if that's how red you get from an indirect kiss, I'm looking forward to when I actually kiss you~” leaving you absolutely stunned

Yujun:

He'd be so flustered but I think he'd just giggle be so cute about it. He'd insist that you two share the drink while blushing and smiling super wide

The whole time the two of you are sharing the drink he would not be able to stop smiling. In his head he'd be freaking out about how cute you are and how romantic the situation is but he'd be trying not to let it show on his face

It'd become a habit between you two, buying a drink you both like and sharing it. It just makes you feel so close and bonded and happy

One day Seeun would see you two doing this and immediately start teasing you, insisting that you two should just kiss already and stop acting like primary school crushes. You'd both go red and look at each other, his eyes falling to your lips before he quickly turns away

The next time he'd be buying a drink for you two, you would've gotten over Seeun's teasing, back to your normal routine. At least, that's what you think until Yujun watches you take a sip and almost immediately brings his lips to yours afterwards, giving you the most soft and gentle kiss ever

Hunter:

He'd just smile and tilt his head at you, amused and finding you adorable. He wouldn't say anything after you look up at him and you'd start getting flustered

You'd explain to him the indirect kiss thing, thinking he doesn't realise, but he'd confirm that he knows, he just thinks you're so cute and he'd confess that he just wants to kiss you for real

He'd keep smiling as you blush and get flustered and he'd just offer you the rest of his drink, trying to be cheeky and just making you more flustered

He'd always make it a habit to offer you sips of his drinks even though you'd always decline while blushing and he'd just be like “awww what about our indirect kiss?” in a fake sad tone just to fluster you more

He'd never ever try to actually kiss you without you saying so or making the first move, he'd just tease you and flirt with you until you give in and kiss him

Yechan:

He'd actually get offended like, how dare you steal some of his yummy drink that he was enjoying ????

He wouldn't even think about the indirect kiss thing because he's too busy getting revenge on you by tickling you or poking you or by little you up and swinging you around like a ragdoll

He'd only realise it later when he's alone. He'd zone out staring at the straw and suddenly the thought of “they put their lips where mine had been…” and then he'd just be blushing and giggling, throwing his head back and covering his face, kicking his feet like crazy in his bed until Junmin leans over from the top bunk and tells him to stop with an annoyed tone

He'd stop flailing but he'd just sit there giggling and staring the straw of his drink like a lovesick boy

The next time he has a drink, he'd offer a sip to you which would just completely throw you off because of how he literally attacked you when you stole some of his drink first. You'd honestly think it was a trap, like he was trying to test you but you'd carefully accept and take a sip. He'd giggle and just happily say “thanks!” before waddling away, leaving you so confused
