The Chain Meets Your Baby || 1/2
Part 2 ||
Pairing: Hyrule, Time, Wild, Four x Reader
Requested by @kieradumpzz081927: I hope your request are open(or if ur free for requests), so i saw ur LU oneshots about the one that is called ' He becames a dad ' or smth. So, why not that he would introduce his kid(s) to the chain? That ones going to be interesting Interesting indeed 😈Now, I have my own set of headcannons for what order the Chain becomes dads in, but regardless of their own experience, I'm sure the Links would all subject the new dad to lots of support and teasing. Here you go 💜 Warning: Some mature jokes here and there. Nothing major, but gotta give the new dad a little hell, right? ¯_(ツ)_/¯

The last thing Hyrule was expecting to encounter during his village visit was his old traveling companions, the other heroes of courage. Then again, life has been full of surprises lately and it wasn't like he didn't already know that the portals between their worlds are still active. It was only a matter of time before their paths crossed again and honestly, it couldn't have aligned more perfectly.
Happy to see the rest of the Chain again, Hyrule takes the liberty of inviting them back to his home so that they can properly catch up and not be the subject of so many judgment stares from villagers. Throughout the short trip there, the group’s laughter is vibrant as they detail accounts from their recent adventures, soon turning it into a friendly competition of who has the craziest stories.
This conversation stays well alive all the way from their first steps outside of the village gates to the second Hyrule opens the door to his house, at which point the spirited teasing immediately dies off into a stunned silence.
“Oh! Hello again!” You’re just as pleasantly surprised to see the boys as your boyfriend had been, your smile more than welcoming as you turn around to greet them, yet they’re less focused on you and more so on the small infant you cradle in your arms.
“...I think the Traveler wins,” Wild mumbles, his disbelief shared amongst the rest of the group who merely nod distractedly.
“Right! I forgot to mention -” Hyrule excitedly hurries to your side before turning to his friends with a thrilled smile, “- This is our daughter, Hope.”
“You just casually forgot to mention you have a kid now…?” Legend narrows his eyes while pointing to the kid in question. He should probably be more annoyed with Hyrule’s tendency of always skipping over important details, but honestly he’s just too shocked to process it right this second.
“Well, she’s only about a month old. Being a dad now takes some getting used to,” Hyrule defends, rubbing the back of his neck timidly, but when you pass your daughter over to him, he shows practice in the way he gently holds her securely to himself before approaching the boys to properly show her off.
Despite their surprise, they’re eager to crowd around him, each wanting to get a good look to ensure this isn’t some clever joke you’re both pulling on them. Fluffy head of dark wavy hair…A little button nose…Sharp pointed ears…Yep, this baby must be yours. She looks exactly as one would imagine the product of Hyrule’s sex life to look like…
“...Geeze. She’s adorable,” Warrior awes, practically leaning over Legend who elbows him back with a glare.
“Isn’t she?” You preen.
“She’s strong, too,” The Vet acknowledges with an unamused pout. He had made the mistake of holding a finger out to the baby only for her to grasp it in an unwavering grip. His attempts at pulling away are fruitless, not that he’s actually trying that hard. Maybe he even likes the feeling of his heart melting just a bit.
“Congratulations. You two must be very proud,” Time praises kindly, having already felt the joy that comes with being a parent himself. He can recognize it in the way Hyrule and you affectionately watch your giggling baby with a pleasant glow surrounding you both.
“We very much are…”
Tumblr media
Muffled commotion outside alerts you to the fact that you have visitors long before they stumble into your home, not even bothering to knock as their excitement gets the better of them. Now, any other day, your husband would be quick to scold such ill-mannered behavior, but fortunately for your guests, he's in far too good of a mood to let it be soured.
So, instead of acknowledging the Chain’s less than graceful entrance, Time immediately rises to his feet with a proud hand left upon your shoulder, "Everyone, we'd like you to meet Saria and Mallory."
The young heroes are in awe as they crowd around the bed just to get a look at the small bundles held within your arms. Sure, they've seen babies before, but these are Time's babies. For many of them, the complicated concept of love alone had once seemed out of reach for any hero of courage, yet here the Old Man is, hitched to a lovely wife and now the lucky father of two adorable daughters. It's an amazing accomplishment, really; one that has the entire Chain feeling happy for him.
"They're so little," Hyrule whispers, scared to speak any louder out of fear he'll accidently wake them.
"They inherited their dad's nose, poor things," Warrior jests, throwing a smirk Time's way.
"They'll grow into them," Rather than take it personally, he chuckles while carefully taking one of the girls from you. Despite having only become a father a few hours ago, he's already a natural at handling them. Ever so gently - as if handling the thinnest of glass - he cradles his daughter to his chest and fixes the tiny hand-sewn blanket around her; a gift from her godmother, Malon, of course.
"You'll have your hands full with twins," Four remarks prudently.
You sigh at the thought, your head thrown back against your pillow, "Ugh, we know…”
Although you’re visibly tired after having undergone hours of stressful labor, you still look upon the baby in your arms with nothing short of pure admiration, clearly having no actual regrets towards having either of them. In your eyes, twins just mean all the more love to give.
"Nothing we can't handle," Time promises before getting a mischievous glimmer in his eye while casually extending his sleeping baby out to Twilight, "This one is Mallory, by the way -"
"- W-Wait -!" The Rancher is immediately caught off guard by it, yet his objections are ignored. Time drops the baby into his arms anyway, practically forcing Twilight to take her, not that he truly minds. A natural around children himself, it takes him only a few seconds to adjust the baby comfortably in his hold.
Blind to the other boys who hover around his shoulders, Twilight's eyes are locked in amazement upon the tiny bean who scrunches her nose and whimpers quietly before soon settling down…To think, this small infant no more than a few hours old is a relative of his. He can't help but wonder how closely related they are. How many generations between them? Three? Two? Maybe even just one? It's a strange thought to consider...but also a very comforting one, too.
"...She's a real beauty, isn't she?" Time asks softly with a strong pat to Twilight's back. The only reply he gets is a wordless nod and whimper as the teary eyed Rancher sniffles.
Tumblr media
What kind of horrors do they need to prepare themselves for? That's the question that rings through every hero's head as they approach Wild's home. They're concern only grows when - as if sensing them - the Champion suddenly appears in his open doorway with an ear-to-ear grin greeting them...Not the most comforting sight seeing as they've come all this way under his vague request.
A letter had been sent to each of them only giving the minor hint that there’s a certain 'surprise' he can't wait to show them, and with someone as chaotic as their accident prone centenarian, the Chain has every right to be anxious about it.
Even as they all crowd outside of his home, Wild refuses to add any context, instead maintaining his mysteriously upbeat aura before finally stepping aside to allow them in. It's only then that the heroes realize what his 'surprise' is, welcomed by the sight of you as you stand there matching Wild's grin while holding an unfamiliar baby in your arms. She can't be much older than a few weeks, judging on both her tiny features and the obvious bags under both of her parents’ eyes...
"You have a baby?!" Wind screeches with delight, not wasting a second to race to your side.
"Her name is Mikan," Chuckling, you kneel down to let him better see your pride and joy. It isn't long before you're surrounded by most of the heroes who are immediately taken by your daughter's cuteness.
"When did this happen?" Time inquires through a raised eyebrow, one of the few Links who had remained by the door with Wild.
"Uh, she'll be three weeks old tomorrow," Wild answers, his hand darting up to rub the side of his neck. He knows that isn’t exactly what Time meant, but it’s the easiest answer.
"I didn't think you -..." Begins Twilight quietly. Although he ultimately cuts himself short, the curious look he gives his successor wordless finishes what he might've said.
Nodding slowly with some hesitation, Wild bows his head while looking back over to you. There's a fondness in his eyes as he watches you carefully pass your daughter over for Wind to hold, "I know what I said before. I...I didn't think this was something I could have - something I could want this badly, but...Well…I probably don’t need to tell you how it is…”
Twilight pats Wild’s back with a knowing smirk, indeed understanding. He’s happy to see his friend finally accept the peaceful life he deserves instead of continuing to run away from it, after all, Twilight has never been blind to the curiosity and faint jealousy that would shine in Wild’s eyes whenever listening to the other heroes talk about their families. He’s been long overdue to have one of his own.
"Hey, just one question," While Wind is busy cooing and rocking your daughter, Four turns around to address Wild once they finally join everyone else, "Did you really name your daughter after a fruit?"
Wild's cheeks flare in embarrassment, "I - It can be a pretty name, too!"
"I'm actually the one who chose it," You confess sheepishly, taking the attention away from your partner, "I was really craving tangerines throughout the whole pregnancy."
"At least it's a somewhat normal name. I was half expecting you to name your future kids something like 'Biscuit' or 'Curry'," Legend snorts.
"...We did consider picking 'Sage'.”
Warrior laughs heartily before throwing a hand over Wild shoulder with a suggestive wiggle of his eyebrows, "Can we expect that to be the second child's name then?"
"Woah, woah, woah - Let's settle down now, gentleman,” You immediately scold while also taking the chance to save your poor partner by pulling him away from the onslaught of teasing he was about to endure, “One baby at a time. It’s not easy carrying those things, just ask your wives!”
Tumblr media
Four has been off into his own little world - That is to say, he’s been both distracted and extremely tired; a terrible mix, but hey, it’s nothing he hasn’t dealt with before. Despite his eyelids feeling like bricks, he remains awake and alert, arms folded across his chest as he sits in the bedside chair keeping watch over your sleeping form.
You need the rest more than him anyway. Your husband has been through some pretty fearsome and ravenous beasts in his time, yet your work last night easily trumpeted every hell he’s undergone himself. Best to let you sleep unless he wants to change that statement.
A series of echoed knocks send Four bolting through the house, hissing a curse under his breath before tossing the front door open with plans to scold whoever’s on the other side, yet he’s stunned into silence when he realizes it’s no poorly timed mailman, rather the very friends he had invited over…although, they did come a lot sooner than he thought they would…
“WE’VE COME TO SEE -!”
“- SHHH!!!” Four nearly smacks a hand over Wild’s face.
“- …The baby…” Wild finishes with a whisper and a grimace.
Four quickly ushers the Chain inside, allowing them to make themselves comfortable with STRICT orders to keep the noise level down. Yes, their early visit may not have been exactly anticipated, but Four holds no ill feelings towards it, in fact, he’s rather smiley while leading them to the nursery.
“Here they are,” He practically sings, eagerly looking inside the large crib as if he, himself, still can’t get enough of its contents. He has every right to be infatuated, “These are my girls~”
Although Four is bubbling with joy as he admires his little creations, the rest of the Chain stands by with wide eyes. Some even take the time to count each baby just to confirm that they are, indeed, seeing triple. Inside lies three little newborns, each fast asleep after having about as stressful of a day as their parents.
“We’re thinking of naming them Marigold, Amber, and Camelia. You know, keep to the color theme and all…”
“Damn, three of them, huh? You didn’t hold back at all, did you, Smithy?” Warrior observes aloud, much to Four’s instant lack of amusement.
“They’re so cute~” Wind coos, Twilight having to pull him back before he accidentally falls into a crib again.
“I suppose it’s a good thing I brought some of the twins’ old stuff then,” Time hums, his smirk holding a hint of sympathy. Needless to say, he doesn’t miss those early days of juggling babies himself, as much as he loves them dearly.
Four preens at the attention his daughters get, however his smile falters when he notices Sky sticking to the very back of the group, awkwardly rubbing his arm and chewing down on his lip. Four frowns.
“...I’m sorry. We should’ve waited until we told -” He keeps his voice down as he joins the older hero who is quick to shake his head and muster his best smile.
“- No, no. We’re happy for you both. Really…” Despite the sorrow stuck in his voice, Four can tell Sky means every word of it, even the sighed: “...You’re a very lucky guy.”
“...I am,” While there could be more said, he realizes now might not be the time to discuss it. Not with so many new babies in the room.
“No wonder you wanted us to be quiet. I can barely handle one newborn at a time, let alone three at once?” Legend mumbles half to himself, his finger gently cresting one of the baby’s chubby cheeks.
“You know, if you ever find your house getting a little too quiet, you can always babysit -”
“- No way in hell. We already have our hands full as it is.”

Self-conscious captain
the next self aware link and this time it's the captain my favourite boy, warriors!
[masterlist]
Tumblr media
“Hey [Name], I’ve been going through some of my old games to clear things out. I found my copy of Hyrule Warriors and wanted to know if you’d like it?”
“I thought that was one of your favourites though, what’s come into you to give it away like this? Do you want anything for it, I’d feel bad simply taking from you.”
“Nah I got it as a gift anyway, I beat the game and did everything there is to do. Plus I know you’ve been wanting to play it anyway, so please have it.”
There’s something off about this, between how skitterish they’re acting and the fact they’re so willing - that they’re so desperate for me to take their favourite game from them? I’ve got nothing else to go off of though, and they are right I have been planning to buy it. They wouldn’t be offering if they didn’t want me to have it so what is there to lose?
“If you’re sure then. I can’t wait to play through it myself rather than watching you.”
Is there such a thing as too much relief? Because if there is then that was definitely it, with how their shoulders relaxed; all the tension left their body as they handed me the game. Why does this feel like the start of a creepypasta, am I simply gonna go home then suddenly there’s some new version of Ben drowned for me to deal with? I won’t know until I play I guess, but it might be fun.
There’s no better time than now to learn though, I’ve got the whole afternoon to myself anyway so why not? Putting the game into my switch; booting it all up it seems fine, so there’s nothing there that should have messed with them. It’s up until the first cutscene for anything to even show up that could be wrong. Link’s eyes seem to be focusing on me far more than they should during it, more than what should be possible, with more of a smile than he usually does during this too. Then I finally get to the level.
I can’t control Link, the game seems to be frozen, not a single bokoblin moving, Link is still moving, the camera isn’t even focused on him now and he’s moving closer to the screen.
“Honeybee? You’re here! I knew your friend would cave pretty face when I pressed them. It’s so nice to have you here alone with me!”
“...What.”
“Oh it’s all alright dear, I did think you’d be a little shocked at first because, well I mean I know this isn’t something that happens very often. Would you be against getting to know me better though?”
What. The. Hell. No wonder they were so eager to pawn the game off to me, a living character that seems to be obsessed with me? If the roles were switched then I’d be throwing it at them as quickly as I could, I’m amazed they could even keep calm for long enough to hand it to me without seeming any more suspicious than they did, he threatened them he’s already admitted that stop lying to yourself [name]. Why does he even want me over the person who actually played as him? None of this makes any sense.
“I - No I wouldn’t, actually could I ask you some questions too? Just y’know, try to get my head around all of this.”
“I’d be more concerned if you didn’t ask me any, I mean right now? You’re treating me more like an actual person than anyone else ever has.”
“...”
“Where would you like to start then honeybee? We can take this at your pace, you’re in full control here.”
Where should I start? There are so many different things I want answers to, I could stay here for hours just talking to him to find out everything; now that I think on that, it’s not like I have anything else planned today. I could simply just stay here for a bit and talk, it’s probably the safer option too. If I don’t, do I really want to test the sanity of a sentient game character, no.
“Um, if it’s all up to me then. Can I ask when you first became aware? Of the fact that you’re you know, a character in a game.”
“Oh, that? Well, it was about three months ago now, two or so weeks before you played with them. They really just saw me as a toy, not caring if I got hurt or anything, which is fair they never knew I was anything more than that; but you didn’t know either and you treated me like a person. You always apologised whenever I took any damage, never tried to get me hurt for your own pleasure or replace me as soon as you could. It was only a matter of time until I started to want you, then it was fairly easy to get eyes in your phone.”
“You've got ‘eyes in my phone?’ what do you mean by that.”
He looks so pleased right now like he wanted me to ask that exact question, it’s such a smug look on his face too. There’s something else to it as well, I can’t pinpoint what but there is certainly another look on his face. With how emotive he is it really doesn’t feel like this is some kind of sick joke, he’s too alive.
“That’s one of the things I’m most proud of!! It was pretty easy when you linked your phone to their switch to download a photo, I just made part of that connection a bit more personal and permanent. I promise I didn’t listen in on anything too private, I swear on Nintendo that I’m not like Cia. I promise.”
“Moving on from… that then. Why’s the real reason you wanted to be with me like this, I mean I get the feeling there’s more to it than you’re letting on.”
“You caught me I actually wa-”
The scowl that crossed his face when he was interrupted by the doorbell was unlike the cheery demeanour he’s been using, it’s almost like he’s angry or jealous of me having my attention split from him; it barely lasts a second though. Before his face swaps to one of remorse possibly because he got so irritated over something so trivial, that needs my focus more than he does right now.
“I think you already know, but I should go check that. I’ll only be a couple of minutes, it’s probably nothing after all.”
Not even a word, just a nod and a look of rejection as if he was a cat I’d had to move off of me when I turned to go and answer the door. True to my word it wasn’t something that going to take long, simply signing for a couple of parcels. It only took me a few minutes to collect it and then start heading back to my room, I’ll be able to open them while I talk to Link after all. Really it would be cruel to make him wait after everything else he’s been through, even if he’s been monitoring… most of my movements, is it bad that I still feel bad after knowing that?
A shrill yelp followed by a shattering sound right when I was about to go back in wasn’t the best sign, the worst thing is that this time there wasn’t a digital overlay. Did someone break in - or break out? Only one way to find out.
“Honeybee? I - I’m sorry I - I really was trying to keep it in one piece.”
He’s out of the game.
Link is in my room bawling his eyes out because he accidentally broke my LED screen, the hero of hyrule is standing in my bedroom crying his eyes out because he broke a piece of glass. Earlier there was always a feeling of him trying to come off as likeable to me, to the point where it was manipulative, he wouldn’t even consider the idea of me not liking him. Now it’s like he’s having a panic attack at the possibility that I won’t like him because he broke my monitor.
“I - I’ll do anything to make it up to you. Please - just - I - I didn’t mean to break it.”
“Link -”
“My clothes would probably be worth a fortune to someone right? I - I mean it’s an actual set of armour from the Hyrulian forces - it’s real chainmail. If you sell it - it’ll more than make up the cost, right? You won’t hate me if I did that, right?”
“Link. I don’t hate you, it was an accident and even if it wasn’t I would forgive you.”
That seemed to snap him out of it, if only a little; he’s still crying but now he’s not rambling about ways to make it up to me. He clearly seems to want me, even if I still don’t entirely get why so maybe I could; opening my arms proves the fact that he really does just want some affection. Waiting wasn’t even on the cards as he practically dove into my arms barely seconds after looking at me for permission.
“You really don’t hate me then? Really? Even though I’m not as good as the other games?”
“I don’t hate you for wanting to get out of what was essentially your prison or - you being as good as the other games? Your game is different but it’s just as good”
“But - you and your friend both said it. I - I’m not canon. You still treated me well that‘s why I fell for you, but I’m still - I’m still less than the other games. So I just, I really wanted to prove to you that I can be the only one for you [name]”
Stroking his hair seems to be calming him down now, the tears are slowing and his breathing is evening out the longer I stay here with him; only a few more moments until I should be able to get some answers from him. Adjusting to having a roommate might be a little strange, he really does seem nice though, nicer than anyone else I’ve ever met. Wait no I’ve only really just met him, why am I already thinking about that? It’s something to consider for certain - oh come on, just admit to yourself that you love this. He cares so why not see where it all goes?
“Canon just describes the story, it doesn’t change anything about you and I’m sorry if it’s ever seemed like that link. Come on, I'll clean the glass up, then you can finish explaining things okay?”
“No wait, it’s my fault, let me clean it up for you. If nothing else, please honey.”
“You don’t have to, it’s not a bother.”
So he already knows his teary puppy face can get me to agree to anything, he’s been here for less than a few hours and it already feels like we’re in a relationship as he knows me inside out… Which makes sense given that he has been watching me through my phone. Maybe it wouldn't be that bad if I stopped fighting against what he’s offering.  The gloves he’s wearing make picking up shards less painful than it would be otherwise, doesn’t take him that long either.
Long enough for something to flicker on my switch, but that can wait.

Skyward Sword
Favorite Position?
You? Sitting on his face.
Sleepy boy likes to take things easy
So having you grind on his tongue all you want while he’s laying in bed? The absolute dream
He definitely won’t be too loud when he’s with you since his mouth is a little more than occupied
But you can earn yourself a groan or two from him whenever you dug at his hair
He probably likes the fact that he has the perfect view of your expressions while you make yourself feel good
But try not to run away from his mouth when things start to feel too good
Because he’ll be quick to grab your hips and keep you right where you started
He might seem a bit lazy but the Hero of the Skies is always gonna finish what he started- including you <3
Twilight Princess
Favorite Position?
You on your back with his face between your thighs of course!
I’m talking full-on muff diving
He’s 1000% the type to enjoy eating you out just because he has so much control over your body and your pleasure like this
Not to mention, he can watch you squirm and whine all he wants with the perfect view
He’s definitely really good at reading what you need and want from him
And he’s even better a giving or denying you that too, unfortunately
But if you’re close, you’ll get exactly what you want as long as you beg for it <3
And I mean really beg for it- wolf boy is a sweetheart but he doesn’t work for free
Though just try not to act too surprised when he tongue fucks you through an orgasm
Breath of the Wild
Favorite Position?
Him kneeling before you as you throw a leg over his shoulder and he goes to town
Bonus points for him if he can get away with eating you out while outside and against some random tree
They don’t call him wild for nothing <3
Now he’s been out of the game for a little bit so he might be a little rusty
But don’t worry- he makes up for all of that with his enthusiasm hehe
Out of the Links, he’s the one who will practically beg you to let him go down on you because he’s bored and has nothing to do while dinner cooks
But whatever happens…do NOT pull his hair. no matter how good it feels
You don’t want to encourage him too much while he’s already up your skirt
You do want to be able to walk on your own two legs later, right?
Hyrule Warriors
Favorite Position?
69 with you on top, naturally
He’s definitely a bit of an ass man so I hope you don’t mind him spreading and playing with some cheeks
And of course, he loves the feeling of your lips wrapped around his dick don’t get me wrong
But to him? It’s not as good as seeing you try to look back at him when he’s going crazy on that clit
He obviously going to be good at what he does- like have you seen him
With the way he fights it’s should come as no surprise that his first move is going to be trying to overwhelm his opponent (or in this case, you <3)
Loves receiving and giving sure but he’s the type of guy to get off on seeing his partner whimper and moan and struggle to keep up
So you can expect things to get a little more than heated as he attempts to make you scream his name
He won’t stop until you’ve made a mess of his face so you better hold onto to something- like that scarf perhaps?? ;]

Who fell first/who fell harder? Love language. Pet names.
Revali:
He fell first, but you fell harder. It wasn't obvious at first, but the way he looked at people, who you spend a lot of time with, who made you laugh. He was sooo jealous. Spinning around you, showing why he is better option then guy you just talked to.
His love language is quality time. He is ready to spend every minute with you, showing off or just talking. At first you will think he is just annoying as hell, but after some talks he would find way to make you comfortable. Even if it means that he should ask someone about things you like.
Pet names, huh? "Darling, sweetheart, little sparrow, birdie". (No one can change my mind:) And it doesn't really matter if you aren't rito)
Sidon:
You fell first, but he fell harder. This man told you about his feelings as soon as they appeared, so no way you won't know about that. And he never would be ashamed!
His love language is physical contact. Really. Every time you are around he is so touchy! Hugs, kisses, everything is here. He would literally hold onto your then he is sad. (You'll get double of that if it's Sidon+Yona)
Pet names are difficult... Probably "Sunshine, pearl, love, my queen" and something like that.
Daruk:
He fell first, but you fell harder. It's a little complicated with him. He fell first, but it took some time to understand that. Probably someone from his fellow champions pointed at his affection towards you (he talked about you so much that others knew your favorite color and what is your favorite place in Hyrule) and it clicked.
His love language is quality time. Literally spending every second of his free time with you! But of course if you are comfortable with that. He knows then to stop.
He uses: "love, babe, jem, sweet cheeks" as nicknames for you. Sometimes "honey bun", telling you that you are as sweet as one.
Yunobo:
He fell first and he fell harder. It's just the way he is. So sweet and cute. He cares about you deeply, and was so nervous to tell you what he feels, because he was scared he would ruin your friendship. (You probably was the first one to confess)
Gifts! And a lot! Yeah. His love language is gift giving. He remembers every little thing that you mentioned in your talks, or you looked a little too long at market. And he will get it for you! He wants to make you happy! But if you do the same he would be so embarrassed to take something from you!
Can "goro" be called pet name? I think yes. If we talk about another options... "Sweetheart, my love, ruby (Yeah. Goron Ruby), baby, sunshine" will work, along with every sweet name he would master at moment.
Female characters here!
And my requests are open!

Not at all, Darling!
I freaking love the muddle buds. They are my favorite weapon in totk, honestly.

Slight totk spoilers, but not much! Just about a Muddle Bud!
Smut CW: Hard, rough sex. He pins you to the wall man. AFAB! reader, he has a country accent. Calls you darling, dumbification if you squint, breeding kind. Also, Twilight bites.
Tumblr media
Wild had given them the go ahead. He had said that though his Hyrule looked different, most of it was still the same. There were a few new thing, here and there, but it was still Hyrule.
So, obviously you had wanted to explore.
And Twilight wasn't going to stop you. Oh no. But he wouldn't let you go alone. No, he wanted to please you, but he wasn't completely crazy just yet. How could he watch over you if you went off alone? He couldn't! You knew he was Wolfie, so that wouldn't work either since you would catch him right away.
He was just lucky you seemed more than happy to have the company. He was just happy to see you so excited. You trotted in front of him, in some sort of leaky cave, looking at it all as if it was an entirely different entity. You awed over the bomb flowers and ooh'd over the luminous stone deposits. You even cooed over the Bubul frog before being dragged along once more. Twilight merely followed, growling lowly at a Horriblin that seemed to grow a little too cocky. It immediately backed down with a small whine, disappearing into a hole in the roof.
At least it wasn't black blooded.
Twilight remained just paces behind you, staying a steady pillar of security as you let your walls down in favor of exploring. He was more than ecstatic to do so, simply watching you. His Goddess.
Oh, how he adored the spark of life in your eyes as you skipped along, looking around walls and through vine blocked entrances. (Not that they remained blocked for long. One look at your pout had him gently pulling you back with a charming smile before slashing through them easily. When you smiled up at him with pure joy and unfiltered glee, his heart sang.)
"Look, Twi!" You called for his attention that he gave easily, pointing at a small trio of flowers. They were a gorgeous swirl of pinks and purples, almost seeming to shine in the light of the cave. He struck a nearby brightbloom seed to give you a better look.
One of your hands gently graced the petals as you looked up at him. Something inquisitive and endlessly curious lit up your irises, which he just melted over. The inner canine in him howled in admiration, tail wagging as it circled in an excitable circle. He just let himself smile since he doubted you would take too kindly to him just howling.
"What do you think they do?"
"Hard ta' say." He shrugged, crouching beside your own form and eyeing the plant. You gently bounced it on a finger, furrowing your brows at the prospect of a new mystery. "Wild would probably know." You hummed.
He nodded along, before standing, offering you a hand. "Probably. C'mon. We should probably head back before they start gettin' worried. Ya' know how Sky gets."
You giggled behind a hand, taking his before dipping into an exaggerated curtsy. "Why, thank you, Sir Twilight of the Twilight Realm."
Rolling his eyes, he played along-- because he'd be a fool not to. Whatever you wanted, he would give you. There was no question about it. Even if he feigned annoyance. "Why, of course, yer' highness. It is my absolute pleasure." He smiled, one of his canines gleaming.
You laughed again before waving him off. "Oh, shove it. Let's go, cowboy."
"After you." He bowed, making you roll your eyes before you were moving once again. Both of you stopped at the sound of something cracking above you, making you look up. A tip of one of the stalactites shivering before falling. It landed in the flowers, making a puff of lilac smoke bloom in a small cloud around the area. Twilight immediately reached for you, because he'd be damned if he let that hurt you, but unfortunately not even he could fight against pollen as you coughed into his chest.
He gently held your hands, scanning you for anything that could possibly be wrong with you, (Who cared about him? Not when you could be hurt. You could be in danger.). He was going to maim Wild if something happened to you because of something he failed to warn them about. Goddess, if this was something fatal, he'd never forgive himself. No Hyrule would withstand his pure rage should something happen to you. Nothing would survive his pure anger in it's rawest, most feral form.
But, outwardly? You seemed...Fine? Your cheeks were a little red, but you seemed...okay? It was a tentative and hesitant okay, but you seemed just so. "Darling? Are ya' alright? Aches? Pains? Anything wrong at all?"
"No, no, just...hot. Like it suddenly got thirty degrees hotter." That would explain the red cheeks. You gently cupped his cheeks, pupils blowing wildly. "You okay, cowboy?"
"'m fine." Come to think of it, it did feel hotter. Way too hot. And Goddess, he knew you were good looking. But it seemed something just made you positively radiant. Absolutely glow as everything around you hazed away. Your touch was like pure magma, hot and smoldering against his cheek, but he needed more. He couldn't breath without you at this point, but it was more like you were the very oxygen he needed. The atmosphere that kept him together.
He needed you. He needed you so badly. He needed your touch and your aura, for your nails to dig deliciously in his back as he absolutely ruined you. He needed...He needed-
He would fucking explode if he didn't kiss you right now.
So he did. He leaned down, smashing your lips together in a kiss that was more teeth and tongue than anything, animalistic and primal. You groaned against him, fingers tangling in his hair as you pulled him closer. Your groans lit a fire under him, urging him on as his own fingers tugged at your useless clothes. You honestly were doing society a disservice by wearing them. No, you were doing him a disservice because he, and only he, was the only one allowed such a delectable view. Only he could make you this way. Feel the way you clung to him like he would disappear should you let go. Relish in the feeling of you pulling at his hair to get him as close as humanly possible. To hear the way you absolute whimpered his name as he pulled away just far enough to rid you of your blasted tunic, dropping it to the side. To experience the electricity between you two as you ground against him.
He couldn't take it anymore. You were primed prey ready for him to take. He had been patient. He had been a gentleman. He had been everything you wanted. But he was little more than a wolf in sheep's clothing. Laying in wait for the perfect opportunity to strike. To bite into his precious little doe.
And now was this opportunity.
Your head angled up just perfectly as he latched to just beneath your ear, licking and sucking his own marks into the skin. A sign that you were his, his, his. All His. His rutting increased in ferocity and tempo, making you cry out for him as you pulled at his belt. It was dropped somewhere to the side with your tunic along with your own belt as your leggings were pulled to your knees.
Anymore would have to wait since he couldn't.
His pelt fell to the ground, discarded carelessly, as he pinned you against the stone wall behind you, holding your ass in his hands as he rutted and rutted and- If he didn't stop, he'd fucking lose his ever loving mind.
With another growled curse, he ripped those pesky panties away from your lips, leaving the shreds fall to the ground as you wiggled him out of his pants. "Darling, I can't- I need-"
"If you don't stop talking and fuck me, I'm asking for a favor from Warriors."
An absolutely feral snarl left him as he plunged into you, feeling you constrict against him as you cried out in either shock or pain. Didn't matter as you were eagerly demanding more.
And more was what he would give you. More. Until you couldn't stand the thought of being without him. More. Until you couldn't think of anyone but him. More. Until he had effected you in at least half of the way you effect him. More. Until you were nothing but a mindless, babbling, crying mess for him and him alone.
Just to see you, tears dripping down the crowns of your cheeks and drool shining along your chin, was a dream he had had many times over. But to have the real thing, clenching around him, marking up his back with nothing but mindless cries? That was a euphoria like no other.
It was what made everything worth it.
You just felt so...Cynefin with him. Perfect in every way. He just wanted to please you. To worship you. So just let him. He would treat you so nice! So well! Give you a nice home, let you do what you wished as long as he came back to you. Wanted to stay home a be a house wife? Perfect. Wanted to get a job? He wouldn't be ecstatic, but he's sure there's some odd jobs around Ordon, where he can watch you. Want kids?
He halted for a second. The thought becoming oh so domestic to him. The thought of you round with his own kid, his pup, a part of you and him put into one. It was something so domestically perfect and something he wanted. Oh, he wanted it bad. It kicked his hindbrain into a whole new gear as he picked up his tempo, hearing you cry out. You were dripping around him at this point, crying his name again and again before squeezing around him. It was as if you were milking him, asking for his children.
That must've been it, and if that was what you wanted, that was what you would get.
His fingers dug into your hip with a bruising grip, jutting as far as he could, biting into the junction of your shoulder and neck, pinning you there as he filled you to the brim. It was yours, all yours. He wouldn't let you waste a drop, oh no.
Besides, he was just getting started.
Dinner wouldn't be ready for a while yet and by the looks of it, you weren't quite satisfied yet either.
And that just wouldn't stand.
Small AN: Man, three in a day, you lucky geese you! I hope you guys enjoy these all, sincerely, I really enjoy writing for you guys and I love seeing your reactions in the tags. So thank you for being so welcoming. I appreciate it more than you could imagine.
With all my love,
Cinder XOXO

The Final Promise₊˚✩⊹
Chapter 2
Linked Universe x reader
Warnings: Angst, fluff, soft and domestic, suggestive themes
Authors note: I was too excited to not post this lmao :3c
Time seemed to stop, and you didn’t mean by the Old Man.
Time literally seemed to halt. You stared at Rusl, trying to find any signs of lying or amusement in his eyes, as if this was some joke. A cruel, twisted joke.
“W-what?” you asked, the only word you could muster. You could feel your fingers shake on the table. You didn’t want to believe what Rusl said, or did you? You weren’t sure.
You weren’t sure if you’d accepted the fact on whether or not you were coming home ever again, but you didn’t think it would happen now, or so soon. Maybe Hylia wanted to see how your head would react. A twisted game for her, like it always is.
“Are you sure that’s what she said? Maybe she meant something else-"I know what she said. I may be old, but I saw what she wrote clear as day. There’s another mirror.”
Before anyone could say anything else, you stormed out of the cottage, the door squeaking on it hinges as you storm out.
“Y/n! Wait!!” Hyrule yells after you.
Before you could stop yourself to calm down, you break into a spring, heading straight towards the forest. You needed to run. Run. RUN.
This couldn’t be happening. You researched and combed through Hyrule Castle’s archives to find any sliver of hope that you’d be able to come home. Even if it said it was impossible, you never found anything to begin with. You had no answers.
You don't know when you stopped running, you panted as you sat up against a tree, silent tears running down your cheeks and down your neck. Breathing was so difficult, you began hiccuping and hyperventilating, gripping onto your hair for any kind of grounding back into reality. That’s when you felt something wet on your forehead.
Looking up, you were relieved for it to just be Wolfie, or Twilight.
“Twilight you shouldn’t have followed me.” you whispered into his fur.
Twilight turned back into his Hylian form, your face still in his pelt.
“I needed to make sure you were okay. Can’t leave you alone, especially in Faron Woods. Who knows what’s still out here,” he murmured into your hair, combing through your sweaty locks. He kissed the top of your forehead, hesitating before pulling back.
“It’s gonna be okay, Y/n. I promise. We’ll be with you, every step of the way, ok? We’re gonna find you a way to go home. Whether it be this lead or if we find something else.”
You sighed. Twilight was always the more outwardly calm person in the chain, alongside Time and Warriors.
“Twilight that’s the thing… I’m not even sure if I want to go home. It’s probably been years back home, hell I don’t even know if I have my apartment or my friends or… But its not like I don’t want you, y’know? I’ve been dreaming of going home since I first came here, I’d been up for nights at a time just researching in the underground library archives. I-I don’t know what to do or think, Twi.” you rambled, voice breaking at the end, letting more tears slip out.
“Although I don’t know exactly what you’re feelin’, I’m here for you, whatever it is that happens. We’re all here for you.”
He takes a breath.
“Speaking of the others, we should head back to the village, the others are probably worried sick about you.”
You nodded without a word, getting up and making back to Ordon Village together, Twilight wrapping his pelt around your shoulders. It smelled like him, you thought.
~
Twilight never gives anyone his pelt, its the one thing he sees as his. So why’d he give it to you? He has no idea. Instinct, he thinks. It’s cold, you needed it more than him. He looks down at you, your pink cheeks and wet lashes making you look more fragile and doll-like. Your cute nose sniffing every few seconds, breathing in the cold air. Your ears were so small, littered with at least 3 or 4 piercings, one of which was a triforce.
Twilight smiles slightly. He always liked the little pieces of “memorabilia” you had of them. It was incredibly strange and unsettling when they first found out, but he sees it more as like your belonging to them admiration of them.
Twilight’s train of thought stopped for a moment.
Where the hell did that thought come from?
Before he could ruminate on his psyche, he’s shaken out of his thoughts by Wind yelling “Oh thank fucking Hylia!”
~
You came back into Twilight’s treehouse, heading toward the bathroom to take a warm bath. You noticed that the tub was already filled, hot steam coming off the surface of the water. You’d have to thank whoever drew you the bath.
Stripping your clothes, you set them in a pile near the door. You step into the tub, wincing slightly at the hot water making contact with your skin. It was a bit too hot for you, but you knew the water will cool off fast enough, so you powered through it.
You sighed. This was nice. Even with the chaotic stream of thoughts coursing through your head, the bath seemed to dull it, even for just a moment. You grab your hair and start combing through it, no doubt getting knots from running through the woods earlier. You look at the necklace Four made for you a few months ago. It was to commemorate a year being with the Chain, which in retrospect should’ve made you sad, but it made you extremely happy and grateful for everyone in the group
You knew it was much easier to come across rarer metals and jewels here than back home, but you were still just as in shock when you realized what it was made of. You remember sobbing from joy when you received it, as you never held something so expensive and meaningful in your entire life.
The necklace was made of metal sourced from Death Mountain but you had no clue what the gem in the triangle shaped cavity was. It looked like emerald, but the boys said it wasn’t that, and that they won't tell you. They were so petty at times.
You were startled out of your thoughts when there was a knock at the door.
“I brought you some fresh clothes, Dove.” Ah Sky, honestly you were a little relieved it wasn’t Legend or Wars, knowing they’d say something snarky or suggestive.
“Come in Sky.”
You could hear the cogs turning in his head for a moment before he entered, red in the face. You almost laughed at what you were seeing.
Sky turned his head away from you and covered his eyes, just to spare you some dignity.
“I-uh gave you one of my older shirts since you don’t have any other clean ones and its thicker, so it’ll help keep you warm and it has-”
“Sky, for the love of god you’re making this more awkward than it has to be. You’re sweet for being so thoughtful, but we’re both adults Pumpkin.” you mused, chuckling a bit.
Sky finally made eye contact with you, but still avoided your eyes for the most part.
“Right. Um, well, I’ll just leave these on the chair then.”
Sky then stared at you. Not in a creepy way, just in admiration and awe. Luckily, the rest of your body was hidden under the bubbles of the soap in the water, so its not like he could see anything anyway.
He then walked up to you and sat down outside of the tub, still gazing at you.
“I was so worried about you earlier, Songbird. Are you alright now?” he asked, worry crossing his face.
You sighed. Ever the most thoughtful. Bringing your hands from under the water, you cup his cheeks looking right into his eyes.
“Don’t worry so much about me, Sky. I’m fine now. Twilight calmed me down a bit, but you know how shocking such information can be. I just need a bit to process, y’know? I’ll be fine though.”
You gave him a small smile, trying to read the thoughts behind his eyes. He just kept looking at you. You swear he looked at your lips a few times. Biting his lip, he asked “Can I wash your hair for you? No offense at all, I just wanted to offer because you never know when the next time we’ll get to be clean again.”
You nodded with a smile, sitting back against the porcelain tub, handing Sky the glass bottle of soap. As soon as he lathered his hands, he started massaging your scalp, a feeling you’ve missed so much.
“Fuck, Sky, that feels so good.” you said, not realizing the tone or implication you said it in.
Sky’s breath hitched, but you didn’t catch it, too busy on the sensations on your scalp.
“Yeah?” he whispered, looking at your bare shoulders that were littered with scars from your journey with them, wishing he could wash them away. He felt his ears get hot from your soft sounds, happy that you felt so comfortable and wishing you’d make those sounds more often  domestic with him.
Suddenly the movement stops. Opening your eyes, you turn your head over your shoulder, almost jumping at how close his face is. Your gaze flickered to his lips, almost as if it was instinct.
“Sky… I-” “I’ll let you finish up.” And with that, he left, softly shutting the door behind him.
~
What the HELL is he thinking???
Sky gripped his hair, walking down the hallway, panting slightly.
He was so… close to you. He could smell the soap on your skin. He could see the different colors in your eyes. He felt strange. He knew he liked you… and not just as companions or friends… he wanted more. He felt happier, lighter since you came around. He genuinely laughed for the first time in ages.
It seemed like there was a spark of sorts between the two of you, but he didn’t want to assume or jump into anything… yet, at least. He needed a minute to calm down.

Eldritch Time
Time pulls the Fierce Deity mask from his face. One part of him wants to throw into a fire and watch the wood pop and smoke. The other part stares at his boys, bruised and bloody, but alive. They look like they’ve gone three rounds with Ganon and lost.
Hyrule is already moving from person to person, hands glowing with healing magic. Others chug potions. No one rushes for him or cheers—not that he can blame them. Considering the fight they must have had? They can have a moment to process.
Time needs a moment to process. He needs more than a few and he has the experience to back how precious those moments are.
He may be 30, but right now? He’s as old as the Chain teased him to be. Trauma is different for everyone. Legend buries it behind visible walls. Time does, too, but his are invisible. He’s lived long enough to know not to burden the boys. For all they insist they are grown, most are still children.
Pushed to adventure too soon, forced to maturity beyond their years—but still, children. Even Legend can’t bury the spark completely. If only they didn’t have to.
Time should have put the Fierce Deity mask on sooner.
He looks down and accounts for the one person missing from the group. Wild. The champion is slumped, probably passed out. For as long as the moment feels to Time, it’s likely only been seconds.
He beats them to further action. Hanging the mask on his belt loop, he scoops Wild into his arms. Immediately, there’s a sucking emptiness. A hole in the shape of a hylian. A darkness where there should be life.

• Five Times You Share A Night With Twilight + The One Time You Do Something About It •
Summary: exactly what the title says.
Warnings/tags: GN! Reader, Hurt/Comfort, tooth rotting fluff, some comedy between the group, flirty Twi, there’s only one bed. Safe for Everyone.
Author’s Notes: I ain’t gonna lie y’all, this one is longer than what I usually write. I hope you enjoy it! Written by Mishwanders
{1}
After a long period of traversing through the woods of Hyrule, the Chain and you were finally able to make camp for the evening. As you were placing down your bed roll for the night, you took notice as to who was around you. To your surprise, someone was missing.
“Anyone seen Twi?”
The others looked around as well at each other, but all of them either shrugged or shook their heads in response.
“I’m sure he’ll be back soon. He probably just went to secure the perimeter.” Legend reassured you.
You nodded, continuing to pull out the rest of your stuff for the night. You took the measure to pull out Twilight’s bed roll as well from his pack, placing it down beside your own, just in case he came back and everyone else outside of the watch were asleep. You smiled to yourself as you made sure it was laid out nice and neat, placing his pillow and blanket at the head of it so he wouldn’t have to go digging for his things in the dark. As you were doing so, you happened to catch the attention of Wild who was eyeing you where he was stationed with the food. You shrugged at him and he gave you a knowing nod.
By the time that dinner had been eaten and the campfire dealt with, you all fell into your respective areas of respite, each of the Links dozing off one by one, all except for the watcher off in the distance and you.
You couldn’t help but toss and turn the entire night, constantly looking over at Twilight’s sleeping bag, wishing he were there next to you. It’s not that you liked him (at least that’s what you kept telling yourself), you just liked having him close by. His presence was always warm and comforting, he was gracious enough to allow you to borrow his bear pelt when you got cold too. You felt as if you could relax in his presence compared to some of the more strict and rigid personalities of a few of the others (don’t even try to ask Legend of a blanket - it’s probably cursed anyway).
You stayed up longer, waiting to see when he would show, but as your eyelids began to grow heavier, you could hear the slow trot of paws against the rough ground. The dark shadowy figure of Wolfie came approaching you, sniffing vigorously at the bed roll Twilight should have been in. You slowly sat up to rest on an elbow, alerting the wolf that you were still awake. You greeted him with a smile and a small whisper.
“Twi’s not back yet. If you want, can you come sleep with me instead.” You stated, opening up your blanket to show there was room.
The wolf stared at you for a moment, blue eyes taking in the situation at hand. You weren’t even 100% sure he would take the offer - he typically preferred to sleep next to Wild. But to your surprise, the beast agreed, walking closer to you and plopping down beside you under your raised arm. It took everything in you not to squeal over the fact that Wolfie actually chose to stay by your side tonight (ya know, and not Wild, since he apparently likes him so much). You slowly lowered your arm down over him, allowing the blanket to encompass you both, keeping your arm gently on his fur. You laid your head back down on your pillow, gently stroking a small area of Wolfie’s fur, feeling him snuggle even closer to you. The wolf smelt like cedar - a common scent you knew that followed Twilight as well. It was comforting having the beast with you, feeling how warm he was next to you. He was like a heater biting off the cold night air. You found yourself growing more and more relaxed with him by your side. Twilight may not have been here, but Wolfie was, and with him by your side, you found yourself easily drifting to sleep for the rest of the night.
{2}
The Chain had traveled far off through another portal chasing after the Shadow that quickly got away without a trace. After a while of searching for the malevolent beast, you all decided to make camp once more for the evening, preparing for what was hopefully a restful night ahead. As you pulled out your bedroom, you noticed Twilight with his own, coming up beside you to lay out his next to yours. You gave him a warm smile, pleasantly surprised to see him. “Back so soon?”
“Time said he’d take over securing the perimeter tonight.” Twilight replied, dropping his bedroll draping along the ground.
You nodded, watching him pillow out his blanket and pillow. “How thoughtful of him.”
Twilight breathed out a laugh and smiled. “He can be when he wants to. Speakin’ o’ which, it was thoughtful of you to take care of Wolfie.”
He was looking directly at you when he spoke of his beloved beastly friend. His pretty blue eyes sparkling in the firelight caused an embarrassed heat to erupt over your face at his praise. “I-It was no problem! I was awake anyway and honestly I felt kind of honored. He never chooses me!”
With that you heard Wild, Legend, and Sky snickering to the side, knowing full well that they all heard you. Twilight shot them a look, which didn’t deter their behavior quite like Time’s did, but it was good enough for Wild to stop in his tracks. Twilight shook his head at their behavior and turned his attention back to you.
“Don’t listen to ‘em. Besides, I know Wolfie was very happy to sleep next to you.” Twilight reassured you.
“Oh yeah? What are you, some kind of animal whisperer?” You asked playfully.
He chuckled at that comment. “I’ve known Wolfie for long ‘nough to know he appreciated a warm bed for once.”
“I wouldn’t mind having him back as a cuddle buddy.” You laughed, “He was a soft heater throughout the night.”
“I’ll let him know, I know he’ll be more than happy to take you up on that offer.” He replied, a smile plastered on his face, looking sweeter than honey.
“Uh huh, sure he will.” Legend interrupted, gaining your attention. You raised an eyebrow in confusion at him.
“Oh, can it Vet.” Wars spoke up from the otherside of the fire, already in his bed.
“You can’t tell me what to do.” Vet snapped back.
“Yeah, shouldn’t you be getting your ‘beauty sleep’ anyway?” Wind chimed in.
Wars feigned hurt, lifting his eye mask to look at it. “Not you too, Sailor.”
You looked over towards Four and Hyrule, who were laughing at the words being thrown back and forth in front of them before Time silently stalked up behind them all. You laughed as his voice boomed, startling the ever living daylights out of them - a shrill scream leaving the two just caused more laughter to erupt from the group. Time shook his head and chuckled. “He may not be able to tell you what to do, but I can. You’re taking the second shift Vet, so I’d get that shut eye while you can.”
Legend grimaced at the mention of that. The laughter soon died out, everyone getting ready for bed. You slipped under your thin blanket, feeling the cool breeze still reaching you through it. You rolled over on your side and whispered to Twilight. “Is it okay if I borrow your bear pelt again?”
He turned to face you, opening one eye. “You cold?”
You nodded and he sat up to pull it out of his pack, leaning to drape over you. “There ya go, Darlin’.”
You felt the heat in your cheeks erupt, burying them under the pelt so he couldn’t see. You smiled, causing your eyes to squint up at him as you whispered a muffled thank you. He smiled down at you. “No problem, sugar.”
GOSH DARN IT TWI-
{3}
Nightmares were never easy, especially when they were about the troubles at home.
It was another night, another camp site. You had been startled out of your sleep, feeling your heart pounding in your chest. Your throat was incredibly dry as you panted, forcing you to shuffled around your bag for your canteen. You took a sip of him, feeling the cool water wash down your throat, taking in a deep breath in an attempt to calm yourself.
It was just a dream. Nothing more.
At least that’s what you hoped for.
You took a chance to look around you in the darkness. Everyone else was still asleep, except for the watch, who just so happened to be Twilight at that hour. You felt your body shaking in your attempt to calm yourself, but the cold wind was not helping you with that. Maybe you needed to get up and walk for a bit, clear your mind.
You slid out of your bed, standing up as quietly as possible as you wrapped yourself in your blanket and pulled your boots on. You did go for a small walk, taking in the surroundings draped in the darkness of night. Your eyes however, did catch a glint of the golden chainmail that Twilight wore. He was fairly close to the camp, leaving his back against the tree. You made your way over to him, trudging through the grass. It caught his attention and he quickly turned his head in your direction, cocking his eyebrow in surprise.
“What ‘re you doin’ up, darlin’?” He asked quietly.
You settled on the ground next to him, holding the blanket close to your body. “I had a nightmare.”
He looked at you softly. “Wanna talk about it?”
You looked up into his eyes again, feeling a tug at your heart. You gently sighed and told him what you dream was as you rested your head on his shoulder. “I just can’t get my mind off of home and what kind of havoc the Shadow has been wrecking there, who he’s hurt already. I’m worried to say the least.”
He wrapped his arm around you, keeping you close. He was warm and smelt like cedar, as always. You were thankful for the gesture, the shelter from the cool air. “I know how you feel.”
You leaned in closer to him, taking in the scent of him, allowing it to fill your lungs. You both sat there for a while, listening to the sounds of the forest surrounding you, every cirp of the bugs in the grass, watching the subtle glow of the fireflies. It was quiet, it relaxed you.
“Twi, is it okay if I stay here for the rest of your watch? I don’t want to be alone.”
You felt his grip around your shoulder tighten around you ever so slightly. “Go ahead, Darlin’. You’ll be safe with me.”
You moved in closer to him, melding into his side. You took a deep breath and closed your eyes, allowing yourself to slowly drift to sleep as he gently rubbed your arm. You felt safe in his presence, protected. It was just enough to help you fall back to sleep, where no nightmares plagued you again for the rest of the night.
{4}
Goddesses - it shouldn’t have happened like this!
Time carried Twilight into the inn while the others were still out dealing with the Shadow. You felt like your world was swirling around you, a cave collapsing in on you when you helplessly watched Twilight (who you now knew was Wolfie) get hit with an almost deadly blow by the shadow. Everyone was scrambling, no one had been seriously injured by the Shadow up to this point. If it hadn’t been for Time and Wars, you would have felt like you were drowning under the weight of what was happening.
You were quick to snap out of your trance of helplessness when Time addressed you, dragging you away with him. Someone had to stay by his side while someone else ran to get the healer and you were quick to find one while he stayed in the room with a bloodied and battered Twilight.
When you found the healer you quickly dragged them back to the inn, guiding them up the steps to his room, where they began to tend to him. You watched at their side, over their shoulder with Time, assisting with whatever the healer needed. You all made quick work of getting him cleaned up and the wound dressed, but the healer was unable to do anything more about it. He was stuck with the Shadow in his system, he was now going to have to fight it from the inside.
You knew the darkness must have been trying to wreak havoc in him, trying to break down his resolve, down to the very fiber of his being. When Hyrule and the others came back, they all offered up the potions they had, even Hyrule’s magic, but nothing worked, nothing could stop this.
It had been a long afternoon of worrying over his state, the rest of the Chain came in and out of the room at various occasions while you and Time primarily stayed by his side. But as the evening turned into night, you and Time had decided to take shifts watching him, to make sure someone was always there, just in case something happened.
During one of your shifts, you found yourself leaning against the edge of your seat, arms resting on your thighs as you watched him breath, noticing how shallow his chest rose and fell, how much paler he grew under the moonlight, as if the very life was being wrestled away from him, pulling it out of his grasp. You felt completely helpless to stop it, forced to watch his life slowly crumble and fade before your own eyes.
You wish you had said something before all of this, had confessed your feelings towards the one person who ever truly made you feel safe. Now he was dying in front of you and he would never truly know how much you cared about him, how much better you wanted to know him.
A shaken breath escaped you as you took his hand in yours. His hands were cold and clammy, but you held it close to you, trying to warm them up. You couldn’t help but feel the tears sting your dry and tired eyes as you looked down at him, a string of whispered words leaving your lips.
You weren’t one to pray to the goddess, but tonight was an exception. You quietly begged and pleaded with her to do something, anything to save him from a deadly fate.
But nothing happened.
It felt as if your prayers were falling on deaf ears, never seeing a change in his worsening state. Your tears were streaming down your cheeks by now, dropping down your chin to the edge of the bed as you sniffled. You pressed your lips to his knuckles, shaking as you whispered, “Twi, please keep fighting this. I don’t want to be without you. I love you.”
You felt his hand gently twitch in yours, almost as if he were about to hold it. You wondered if he heard your plea for him to keep fighting in his state. You continued to hold his hand for the remainder of your watch, keeping it close, hoping that he would know that you were there by his side, so he didn’t have to fight this alone.
{5}
Days had passed since the incident with the Shadow, and to everyone's surprise, Twilight pulled through. Although he was awake, he was still recovering from the draining efforts it took to fight off the Shadow that had attacked him from the inside, in need of lots of rest.
Everyone took their turns visiting him, the whole group of them gathering into his room at multiple points until he grew exhausted by the lively interactions of them all, his side hurting from the laughter they brought him with all of the timely dog jokes. You couldn’t help but smile, watching him from across the room, noticing the life return to him even more as the days went by, as he grew stronger again. You felt relieved knowing that he would be okay in the end, your worries easing over, hopefully to never return with another scare like that.
It was late into the evening when dinner occurred and you brought him some food from the dining area, taking the moment to sit with him in peace while the others were down stairs discussing Hylia know what. You sat there and discussed whatever came to your mind as well, talking about the mischief you’d gotten into with Legend in the town with the other merchants, trying to keep his spirits up with the fact that they scored some pumpkins for some delicious soup to be made the next night, but you could see he was lost in his own thoughts, that fire in his eye replaced with pensiveness.
When you were both done with the food, you placed the plates on the side table and looked at him. “You alright, Rancher?”
“Hm? Yeah, just thinkin’.” He replied
“Would you like to talk about it?” You asked, looking at him concerned.
“It’s just - it’s all been a lot, almost dyin’ an’ all. Everything hurt, I felt like I was being held underwater, struggling against a current, but It’s like I was aware of what was happenin’ around and unable to do anything. I felt completely helpless to stop it.”
You nodded, listening to him intently as he continued.
“Out of all of it I could still hear what was happening around me - I heard everyone’s concern for me. Did you and Time even leave my side?” He asked, “I didn’t need either of you gettin’ sick worryin’ ova’ me.”
You chuckled, “What can I say? We both care about you - everyone does.”
“Yeah, I know. You made that very clear. I don’t think I’ve ever heard you pray before.” He commented.
“I-I don’t.” You replied, looking down at your hands.
“So why’d you do it for me?” He asked
You let out a deep sigh before looking up at him again.“I felt like I was running out of options. You felt helpless to do anything, I felt helpless just watching you deteriorate. I might not be on the best of terms with any god, but I know Hylia favors you and the others. At the very least, I could make a plea for you, on your behalf.”
“So you meant every word of it?” He asked in return.
You nodded. “Every word.”
“Including the last bit - the part where you said you loved me?”
Your eyes widened a bit in surprise as he brought it up, realizing he truly had heard every whispered word. He chuckled at your reaction, noticing how embarrassed you grew by his statement. He took your hand in his, keeping his gaze on yours as he gave your hand a reassuring squeeze. “You don’t have to be shy, Darlin’. I just wanna know if it was true.”
You gently nodded, “Yeah. I meant every word.”
Twilight's face cracked into a smile at the sound of that. Even he looked away shyly for a moment before returning his gaze back to yours. “Well, this wasn’t the way I was intendin’ on tellin’ ya, but, considering everything that’s happened, there’s no time like the present. I feel the same about you.”
Your embarrassment turned to shocked relief, your eyes growing wider as you spoke up. “Really?”
He nodded. “Really.”
You gently squeezed his hand back, a smile growing on your face. Before you could even open your mouth to speak again though, one of the others came barging into the room to check on the two of you.
“Hey, how’s the food tast-“ Four stopped in his stead at the doorway when he noticed the two of you holding hands, his eyes bouncing around the scene before he finally asked, “Did you finally tell them?”
Twilight gave him a knowing look - don’t tell the others. Fours face lit up as he leaned against the doorframe. “It’s about time! Looks like Wars won the bet though.”
You turned your head around so fast at the mention of the bet. “You all were betting on us?!”
Four gave a shy smile as he tried to steer his way out of the conversation. “Oh would you look at the time - I gotta go -“
With that he ran off back downstairs. You turned your gaze back to Twilight and shook your head with a laugh. “How long do you think we have until the others find out?”
“A minute, tops.”
You could already hear the shuffling of boots coming up the stairwell. Looks like five seconds was all it really took.
This was going to be a long, interesting night.
{6}
Another portal, another Hyrule, thankfully with another functioning Castle Town, which meant you got to stay in another inn.
You pulled Twilight up the stairs behind you, guiding him towards a room. With the Chain it was always fair game who got which room and you were hoping whichever one you chose had some decently comfy beds - and it did, but there was one problem.
There was only one bed.
You were half tempted to back out of the room, but you bumped into Twilight's chest as he moved past you into space, plopping his things down inside. You felt the heat flood your cheeks as your thoughts began to run with the idea of sharing a bed with him. You felt crazy - it’s not like you hadn’t shared a bed with him before, but you hadn’t done so since you both confessed your feelings for the other and actively became a couple.
Twilight turned to look at you, that sweet honey smile settled on his lips. He held out his hand to you, beckoning you closer. “Don’t be shy, Darlin’, c’mere.”
You made your way over to him, where he proceeded to wrap his arms around your waist, pulling you closer into him. He gazed into your eyes as he leaned his head down, resting his forehead against yours. Every gesture of his made you melt even more as he held you.
“Finally, some peace and quiet -“
“Aawww!”
Twilight groaned at the sound of Sky’s voice coming from the doorway, turning his attention to him. “May I help you?”
Sky had a cheeky grin on his face at the sight of you two. “I’m sorry, you two just look adorable. Continue.”
You leaned in closer to Twilight, resting your head against his chest. “I know we do, but what did you need?”
Sky chuckled at your reply and gestured out the door. “Food will be ready soon, figured I’d inform you before Wind attempts to steal someone’s plate again.”
You chuckled, remembering how mad Wild was the last time that happened. “Thanks Sky.”
You two made your way downstairs after him to eat with the others, dodging the others incessant teasing with ease. As the evening drew on, all of you finally made your way to your respective rooms. You sat on the edge of the bed, resting back on your hands as you spoke with Twilight, watching him change out of his shirt to sleep. As he did, you could see the raised scars littering his skin, all of which gained from one battle or another, but you couldn’t get our eyes off of the one the Shadow left him.
It was different from the others, maybe because it was still fairly fresh compared to anything else. You felt your attention be drawn to it, seeing the fine black markings along it, knowing it wasn’t necessarily from an infection, but more because of the source of the one who wounded him. You couldn’t get the sight of him so pale and close to death out of your head, how easily you could have lost him that night.
Twilight noticed the change in your demeanor as you stared at it, stepping closer to you as he placed his hands on your shoulders. “You alright, Darlin’?”
You brought your hand up over the scar, gently running your finger along the edges of it. “Does it still hurt?”
“Only occasionally, but it ain’t nothin’ I can’t handle.” He reassured you.
You leaned closer to him, pressing a gentle kiss along the edge of it. He looked at you with surprise at how tender you were handling him. He smiled as you looked up at him.“Bein’ sweet on me now?”
You gave him a cheeky grin as you pulled him closer to you by his belt loops. “Maybe, but that’s because you’re as sweet as honey to me.”
He leaned down, moving his face in line with yours in the midst of his flirtatious interrogation, eyes caught on your lips. “Does that make you my honeybee?”
You tilted your head slightly, lips ghost over his own as you replied, “Well, you’re just too sweet to resist.”
You kissed him, gently at first, but he kissed you back with a much rougher touch, desperate to feel your lips on his. He snaked his hands up your neck to caress your face as your hands fell along his forearms. You felt his teeth grazing over your bottom lip, almost asking and begging to allow him to deepen the kiss. You would, but not until you had made your move first.
It took him by surprise as you pulled him down to the bed with you, wrapping your legs around his waist so he couldn’t escape you. You chuckled as his smile came back though, his lips finding their way to yours again, kissing you with a hungry fervor before trailing down your chin and neck, causing laughter to erupt from you as he found a ticklish spot at the crook of your neck. He chuckled as he gazed down at you once more, his voice coming out in a smooth low whisper. “I love you, honeybee.”
You smiled up at him, feeling the heat return to your cheeks once again. He always knew how to make you blush, how to send butterflies a flight within you. You wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him back to your lips once again. You could feel him relax against you, growing more comfortable with you by each passing second. When you finally had to pull away for air, you gazed up into his blue eyes, a smile on your face as you confessed.
“I love you too.”

Day 9 - Bees
Tumblr media
@aeghina sure thing, luv!
Wordcount: 2,753
Rating: Gen
Summary: Usually, when Mister hero comes back injured, he's got the decency to pass out on his ed, or the couch, or that dratted rocker. This time though, he just had to collapse by the bee hives. If Yuga doesn't kill them, Ravio might end Link himself! (If the bees don't kill HIM first!)
There are many advantages to having moved his business to Hyrule.
For one, Mister Hero’s house is, while cluttered and overrun with boxes and chests of gear, a far warmer place than his own home. Once he moved the boxes and whatnot out of the way, it’s actually a very nice place to live too. The place needed cleaning to make a serviceable shop, of course, but he’d had plenty of time on his hands once Mister Hero agreed to take on defeating Yuga and rescuing his princess. He really only had to keep an eye out for the hero returning so he could sell him something or another, but otherwise was left free to move things about and tidy this or that as he wished.
Granted, Mister Hero didn’t appreciate having his home reorganized, and they’d ended up arguing over some things. The blasted rocker by the fire is the bane of his existence, second only to Yuga, but it was a concession he has to make because that is the hero’s favorite place to sit when he returns to the house for a brief rest, and much as it is an eyesore, it’s not worth the fights they’ve had over it, although he never puts any effort into hiding his distain over the thing. The rest of the house is very nice though, and the dishware and fully stocked pantry are so very lovely to have at his disposal while Mister Hero darts here and there across the kingdom. The warm bed, multitude of blankets, full woodshed and generous garden are also luxuries it takes him some time to process can belong to someone who, apparently, lacks any sort of title beyond “hero” and holds no power over the rest of the kingdom.
That said, there are downsides too. Hundreds, dare he say thousands of them, and they come in the form of the buzzing yellow and black demons that swarm about in the back garden from the little hives that Mister Hero apparently made on purpose in order to keep the monsters on his property.
Because Mister Hero is apparently as mad as Yuga himself.
Generally speaking, he doesn't go outside anyway. There's enough to do in the house as is, repairing items and cleaning and sifting through the endless boxes of gear he can only just begin to theorize the source of. He’s lucky the hero doesn’t remember half the stuff exists too, because he’d never get so good a price on his goods if the hylian remembered this stuff is here to use for free. (The horror!)
Unfortunately, one of his responsibilities, other than supplying the hero with supplies, is also to make sure the man stays alive long enough to actually face off against Yuga, which is honestly harder than it should be. Mister Hero seems to have found every single possible danger between his world and Ravio’s own, and he’s running into them headfirst and with far more courage than is probably healthy for a mortal to have.
He thinks Mister Hero forgets, sometimes, that he is mortal.
It’s usually fine. Sheerow alerts him if the hero’s incoming with some injury or another, and he has ample time to pull together supplies to piece the hylian back together again before watching him pass out somewhere in the house. Usually it’s on the couch, but sometimes he actually climbs into his bed and drops off for a few precious hours.
That’s usually, because usually, Mister Hero actually comes into the house first thing, but not today. No, today he’s gotten the brilliant idea inside his pretty little head to just pass out in the middle of the garden! Honestly, Ravio’s not sure what he’s meant to do with this man, although giving him a good shaking does sound like a particularly attractive idea at the moment. He’ll have to do it after cleaning him up though, because the amount of blood spilling into the flower beds is frankly a bit concerning.
There’s just one problem: the garden is swarming with bees. He’s not exaggerating either, it’s not just twenty or so, but he thinks the full population of the three hives combined, and they’re all buzzing rather aggressively, although none are harming the fallen hero. Rather, it seems the little devils are actually surrounding him, and the most they do is crawl over his limp form, taking turns at the blood pooling on the flagstones but otherwise doing no harm to the man.
Ravio’s watched Mister Hero handle the horrid little things with total and complete comfort many times before, and despite what every book he’s managed to dig up suggests, there’s no use of smoke or protective equipment by the hero while doing so. No, Mister Hero just casually lets the things crawl all over him when he’s home! It’s only after repeated protest from the bunny merchant that he’s stopped bringing them into the house, but even so, that doesn’t stop him doing it while in the garden or by the hives. It’s frankly a bit disturbing, even if seeing the man smile softly at the horrid striped devils is rather endearing, and he's made a point in the past to keep his distance. If he watches, he watches through a window, scolding and fussing to himself and Sheerow at the sheer idiocy of it all.
Really, how can someone purposefully approach when bees are around? They’d have to be totally out of their mind!
Although, considering Mister Hero is actively seeking out Yuga, searching for a fight, he’s pretty sure it’s obvious just how sane the hylian is, and the answer is hardly at all. Technically, that works to his advantage at least on the Yuga front, but right now... Yeah, right now, if he doesn’t get Mister Hero inside and patched up, the man’s likely going to just bleed to death. But hauling his ass inside means braving the swarm that’s clouded up around him, buzzing ferociously in an effort to (most likely) warn away any enemy of their keeper.
And Ravio has no grounds to believe that they will see him as anything less than one such threat.
Lolia’s Moon, he’s really got no choice here, has he?
  “Sheerow, wish me luck.”
His little companion cheeps at him, but of course, like he wishes he could do himself, does not approach and instead keeps safely back, perched on a window frame. He’ll have an excellent view of his master being stung to death, Ravio bemoans to himself.
The noise of the bees increases as he steps closer, and even though he’s covered head to toe, hands fisting his sleeve ends to close them up, the reality of the situation is that his robes are not the thickest material in the world, and skin showing or no skin showing, he’s not likely to escape this without a few stings. Thank Lolia he’s not allergic. Sometimes people are, or so he’s heard, and he’d be utterly and totally doomed (more so than he already is) if he was.
The first step towards Mister Hero is met with a few of the little devils flying at him, and despite every warning, he can’t help but try to bat them away, especially with how they seem intent to fly at the eyes of his rabbit hood. They’re vicious little things, and each step closer to the downed hero is made slower by the need to bat a cloud of bees away from himself.
The stings, as feared, do penetrate his clothes.
First it’s one, then two, and then so many all at once that he gives up moving cautiously altogether, darting through the crowd of them and towards the body of the hero. It's a struggle lifting him, he’s not heavy but Ravio has never been accused of being particularly strong either. In the end, he resorts to hauling on both arms, tugging them over his shoulders and shouldering the weight of the other across his back as though he’s just the bag the merchant carries with him most of the time.
The bees fall back, ceasing their attack for a moment as they seem to register that their target is now partially blocked by the body of their keeper, but unfortunately, they appear to actually be intelligent.
  Well, shit.
Without so much as touching Mister Hero, they manage to get at him all the same. And pain burns up his arms and across his shoulders from where most of them can get at him. Loose clothing across his face and lower half is his only salvation, as is Sheerow holding open the door long enough for him to slip inside, somewhere the bees have apparently been ordered to not enter, because they don’t follow.
He ends up dropping the passed-out hero onto the bed, careful as he can, but that’s hard to do with his hands and arms full of stingers.
He debates which is more pressing, cleaning the hero’s wounds or freeing himself from the needly hell that is the little stingers stuck in his skin. He settles on binding up the worst of the injuries first and leaving Sheerow to watch their fallen hero, before turning his own attention to stripping out of tunic, shirt and hood and working with his vision unobstructed to remove the countless little stingers that dot his skin.
It takes upwards of an hour to get them all out.
He does, finally, finish though. It’s then he turns his focus on properly cleaning and tending to Mister Hero’s wounds, which haven’t gotten any worse in the time it took him to fix himself up. There are a few ribs to set and a nasty gash on the hylian’s thigh, as well as what appears to be some slight burning on one hand, but at this point in things, it’s not the worst condition that the hero has dragged himself here in.
When Mister Hero awakens, Ravio has already donned clean clothes and his hood again, and all traces of either of their injuries are hidden under ample bandages or else disposed of.
There are so, so many stingers in their waste basket, sweet Lolia!
“Ravio?” Violet eyes blink open slowly, and the pain that creases the pretty face of his doppelganger makes no attempt to hide itself as it usually might, a sure sign that he’s too far out of it from either pain or exhaustion to realize that he’s failing to mask himself. It’s fine though, Ravio can read their shared face easily anyway, even if certain emotions do look so very foreign on the twinned features of his mirror.
“Ah, Mister Hero!” He chirps, because it’s really not the hero’s fault that this happened, even if it is a pain in the ass, “you’re awake at last!”
The hylian moves to sit up, only to stop with a gasp and a groan, falling back on the bed with fluttering eyes and suddenly very pale cheeks.
“Ah, yes, you might not want to move.”
“Thanks for the warning.” And there’s the sharp attitude he’s come to be familiar with! He knew Mister Hero was in there somewhere; he just wouldn’t be him without a scowl on that pretty face.
“My pleasure,” Ravio responds, fully aware of how cheeky it is and fully enjoying the roll of violet eyes as he perches on the bedside. “I won’t charge you for it either, although you do owe me a rather pretty sum as of the moment.”
There’s a faint groan at the words, dark eyes turning up towards him as bejeweled hands clutch at the blankets settled over the injured hero. “What on earth for?”
“Damages, of course. You collapsed most tragically in the middle of the garden, and I dare say that half your hives stung me in my attempts to fetch you back here. Why, I was plucking those little demons’ stingers out of skin all afternoon!”
And he’s still feeling the effects. His skin is on fire, and the contact of his clothes is very much not helping. He can’t go without clothes in front of the hero though, especially not the hood, because he’s not sure the hylian is ready to face that particular truth yet. He’s not sure if he is either, to be honest.
  “How is that my fault?”
“Because I never would have been out there if I wasn’t hauling you in here. Now, I should think two-hundred rupees should suffice for compensation.”
“Two-hundred!” Mister Hero surges upwards, apparently forgetting his condition but being violently reminded of it once more as he moves, and a choked off sound quickly follows the motion, the other man falling back against the mattress with carefully controlled breaths and a full body wince.
Ravio nods. “Indeed, and again, mind your injuries. I’m not charging for the warning, but if you undo all my hard work, I’ll be obliged to make you pay for making me fix it.”
The hero’s response is maybe not meant for his ears, but he catches it all the same. “No one said you had to do squat.”
“Yet if I leave you to your own devices, neither of our homes will get saved now, will they? You’ll bleed to death, and I’ll surely do the same without a big strong hero like you to fight off the enemy on my behalf!” Mister Hero, despite what Ravio says, is neither big nor particularly strong as far as he’s seen. Sure, he supposes there’s got to be some sort of power to the man’s frame to swing around a sword all day, but the fact that they are mostly identical does prevail. Sure, the hylian is an inch or so shorter and a fair bit more lithe than he is himself, but that’s mostly on account of lifestyle. Their bodies cannot bulk, not to save their lives, and he knows it.
Mister Hero sighs, fumbling blindly amidst his clothes for his money pouch and soon after producing the demanded rupees. It’s not the full worth of what he suffered for the hero’s sake, but it’s something, and considering what the hero is suffering for his sake, he supposes a discount is in order. “There.”
“Good doing business with you, Mister Hero!”
His only answer is another groan as violet eyes flutter closed and the hero settles back into bed. “Sure, whatever you say.”
And it is. It is whatever he says, because no price could redeem the suffering a thousand stings. Good gracious, he’s going to be so swollen tomorrow!

I found a short scene I wrote for Incredibles au from the second movie just to mess with things that I’d completely forgotten about, and people wanted to see it, so here it is.
It’s right after that part where all the supers invade the house and Frozone helps the kids escape, but doesn’t escape himself, and they’re all debating what to do. That should hopefully be all the background you need to figure out what’s going on but you haven’t watched the movie there’s only so much I can help you with XD
Enjoy 👍
————————————————————
Twilight kept their father’s old car going until they were plenty far away from the house, the ice Warriors had shot at them slowly melting off the sides. Nobody spoke while they rode, even Shadow acting strangely subdued for once, and it wasn’t until Twilight told the car to pull over on a quiet country road that the silence was broken.
“They got Warriors,” Wind whispered, a hand wrapped tightly around his middle.
Legend pressed a little tighter against his side, and Wind leaned against him, looking miserable.
“We wouldn’t have gotten away without him,” Hyrule said in an equally quiet voice. “If it weren’t for him...”
He trailed off, and Wind shrank down in his seat.
“What do we do now?” Wild asked in a small voice, and all of them turned to look at Twilight.
Twilight swallowed.
“We... well. We can’t go to Fi’s,” he began slowly, “or Sky’s, they’ll just get them too if... if they haven’t already. And you saw those goggles they put on Warriors, they were all wearing them. They're all under someone's control somehow, and they... they probably did the same to Dad,” he finished in a quiet voice.
The boys went silent again, and a cricket chirped in the grass by the side of the road.
“Okay,” Legend swallowed, a hand tugging at his bangs. “A bunch of hypnotized bad guys after us. No Mom, no Dad. No Warriors or Sky.”
“But we do have our powers,” Wild cut in, looking somewhat hopeful. “Plus this car, and, and... um... anything else?”
Four flinched in the backseat, and with a flash of light, he suddenly split into four, Shadow growling as he shoved an already-crying Red off of his lap.
“They got Mom and Dad!” Red wailed, and Hyrule awkwardly patted him on the shoulder.
“I say we go and get everyone back, now,” Blue growled, and Twilight waved his arms in an attempt to get the situation back under control.
“Four— er, Fours, try to calm down,” he said gently, but Red continued to cry, and Green and Blue were both looking upset in different ways as well. “Guys, please, getting upset won’t help, we have to think of a plan.”
“Any plan you have is probably going to get us all killed,” Shadow snorted, and Vio elbowed him when Red sobbed harder. “What?”
“Dad said he was going to that ship thing, wasn’t he?” Legend said, and Twilight looked over at him as he gathered Red into his arms. “And that’s where Mom is. We should go there.”
“You want us to go right to the bad guys?” Shadow scoffed.
“I don’t know...” Wind said in a small voice. He swiped a hand over his eyes. “What if they just get us too?”
“Let’s vote,” Twilight said, having calmed Red’s sobbing to quieter sniffles. “Everyone in favor of going and saving Mom and Dad and Warriors?”
Wild immediately raised his hand, as did Blue and Legend, and Hyrule and Green shortly did afterward. Twilight and Red had their hands up, and after a long moment, Wind and Vio raised theirs as well.
Which meant everyone had voted yes except Shadow.
“Shadow? What do you think?” Vio asked, and the other boy looked away.
“Either way you’re going to bring me, so I don’t see why it matters what I vote,” he grumbled.
“If you’d rather go back to the house that’s crawling with hypnotized supers who want to put hypno-goggles on us, be my guest,” Twilight said, and Shadow crossed his arms and sank down in the seat.
“Fine. I vote go.”
“Then it’s unanimous,” Wild said, and he pounded his fist into his hand as he sat straight up in his seat. “We’re going to go save Mom and Dad and everyone else.”
All of the boys looked around at each other, and their faces grew determined, still worried and scared, and in a few cases teary-eyed, but determined to save their parents, and everyone else as well.
Shadow moaned.
“We’re all gonna die.”

Twilight x reader
Fluff maybe angst (this week really tired me out)
Can you do a fic where the reader and twilight (and maybe others your pick) go drinking and drunken shenanigans ensue.
Thanks :)
Hammered, sloshed if you will
Tumblr media
Pairing: Twilight x reader
Rating: T
Summary: You and Twilight go out and get drunk, get into a huge fight over literally nothing, and end up comforting each other the day after.
Warnings: alcohol, drunk behavior, Reader thinks Twilight cheats (He Does NOT. He would NEVER.)
Other: reader is assumed to be of legal drinking age.
-------
You can't remember who's idea it was, but now you're out at a tavern. The Hyrule you're in is somewhere in the early two thousands if all the leopard print, ultra low-rise jeans, and skinny scarfs are any indication.
Twilight is punching the air to a pit bull song as he happily drinks his long Island iced tea.
You've got whatever drink you like.
You and Twilight are both about five drinks in, and two rounds of shots have already passed.
"You should let me teach you lime dancin', honey." Twilight says with a grin.
"You should learn more modern line dancing." You counter, taking a sip of your own drink.
"What does that mean?" Twilight asks, eyes narrowing.
"You could learn some dances too? I could teach you!" You smile, unaware in the shift of mood.
"You think I can't learn?" Twilight is apparently too drunk to hear what you said.
You don't think that at all!
"Of course you can learn. I can teach you!" You're still smiling. You'd love to teach him!
"I can totally learn!" Twilight shouts, "I'll go dance right now!"
"Okay?" You manage, confused and a little annoyed.
Twilight downs the rest of his drink and goes to join the crowd that's line dancing.
You have to give it to him, he picks it up quickly. Though there's a smiling woman who's maybe a little too friendly. She's helping him too.
Does he think she's better than you?
He does.
You turn back to your drink, deciding it's better not to watch.
But then you've gone through another drink and can't find Twilight anywhere.
He's probably off kissing that stupid woman.
Obviously you should drink some more. That'll make you feel better.
When the bartender cuts you off, you decide it's probably time to go home. Even if Twilight is kissing someone else you want him to not get lost.
So, you go and track him down.
Twilight is still talking to the woman from earlier. Something about horse care? He probably heard you coming over and changed topics.
(He did not. This woman is a Lesbian and just bad at proper social interactions. Also Twilight would never cheat on anyone.)
"We're leaving. Whenever you're done." You say with a sigh, annoyed at the whole thing.
"You never believe in my dancing!" Twilight says as he whirls around.
"What are you talking about? I love when you dance!"
"You fo not!"
"I totally do!"
"You don't believe in anything!"
"You're being ridiculous!"
"Just leave without me."
"No. You're stupid and wrong, and you're irritating, but I'm not leaving you somewhere you can't get home from."
"Just go away!"
"Link." You say evenly, trying really hard to remember you're probably super drunk and shouldn't run your mouth more than you have.
"I don't care. Just let me be."
"I will, as soon as we're at the hotel."
Twilight looks like he might keep arguing. But he seems to think better of it. "Whatever. Just leave me alone when we're there."
The taxi ride back to the hotel is stifling. You're annoyed as all hell, and Twilight won't stop glaring out the window. You'd swear he has upset upsetness rolling off him in waves.
After paying the driver and giving a tip, ypu amd Twilight March through the hotel halls.
You got to your room, and straight to the shower. You think you deserve one.
Unfortunately after your shower you find a pouting Twilight.
"Time said I gotta sleep here." Twilight says woth a frown.
"Whatever." You shrug him off, pulling on pajamas.
"Whatever?"
"I just want to sleep." You say as you flop onto bed.
"Then we understand eachother."
"Link, shut the fuck up. I just wanna sleep." You groan. You hadn't meant to sound so rude, but it still happened. You'll apologize later.
-------
Morning comes with chirping birds and blinding sun. Your head pounds in time to what can only be an eclectic drumset played by a monkey.
Great.
You need to figure out how much you drank last night. You want to male sure you don't do it again.
You throw your arm out and accidentally smack Twilight's nose.
"Ow." Twilight groans, "What'd I do?"
"Nothing. Sorry." You squint as you roll over to look at him.
Twilight looks about as bad as you feel. He must have also had too much.
"What happened last night?"
"Dunno. I think we got in a fight or something."
"I'm sorry."
"Why?"
"I dunno, just am. Words are hard.... but I wanna say sorry for my part."
"Aw, Link, it's okay." You smile as you set your head on his chest.
Twilight throws one arm across his eyes. His other arm loops around your shoulders. "Let's go back to sleep."
"Okay."
Twilight's breathing is still slow and steady. But he isn't asleep quite yet.
"I'm sorry too." You admit, "I think I was mean last night."
"It's okay. I'm not mad at you, (Y/n). Just- don't let me drink that much ever again."
"I won't."

Tiny Little Details ||
Pairing: Four x GN Reader
Words: 1,781
Requested by @pinkalmondcake: May I please get some four fluff of that's alright🥹He's just so cute and I was thinking about reader discovering a small minish four when they landed in his world (he wanted to check on the minish) and the reader didn't know he could be so smol and four becomes embarassed seeing he likes the reader (and the reader is a bit taller than him seeing he's a small bean anyway XD) and when they discover they like each other than as the reader somewhat confesses, then they pick him up in their hand and he's blushing and everything. He also gives them a peck on the nose and hugs their cheek while squealing on the inside! (sorry that this is a longish ask!) And I hope it was fine to ask too! ^.^ I love the parts to your crush and your new part for sacrificing ourselves for the chain! ❤️ Four is officially the most adorable Link and that must not be forgotten🥺I mean, where else are you gonna find a better boyfriend than one you can literally just keep in your pocket? Here you go, hun!
Zelda Masterlist 💙 Fandom Masterlist
Tumblr media
Minish are rather generous, taking it upon themselves to hide little goodies in the grass for travelers to find like extra hearts or rupees, but they also host the sweetest little tea parties made up of droplets of tea and crumbs of cookies which are perfectly filling for anyone matching their size.
It's a much needed break, Four decided some time ago. Away from the stress of trying to keep Hyrule (and numerous versions of it) safe while also maintaining his own sanity while faced with eight other heroes, a few of whom can be a bit much to deal with at times, as he's learned.
For the most part, they all get along well, likely due to their shared destinies and deeper understandings towards each other's struggles, yet that doesn't mean they all share the same personalities. It isn't constant, although also not rare for some to butt heads here and there, leading to raised tensions as well as the need for fresh air like in Four's current case.
When he huffs a bit too loud, he must reassure his Minish friends that everything's fine, even asking for another drop of tea to fill his miniature cup, however it's difficult not to feel new dismay at the sight of a golden sky above.
Truthfully, Four had cooled down a while ago, already letting his anger towards the other boys roll off his shoulders, but that doesn't mean he wants this peaceful moment to end any quicker. If it were up to him, he'd stay with the Minish longer, trading merry stories about his recent adventures that almost take away from the dark energy looming in the air. Alas, he should probably return soon before anyone begins to worry too much, although as he soon learns, it might be too late for that.
Four was just about to dismiss himself when he heard his name being called. To the smallest beings of the world, it sounds like thunder crashing through the sky as does the crunching of footsteps that almost shake the earth as they get closer, but Minish are used to such disruptions and even Four shows no concern upon recognizing the approaching voice.
"FOUR?! ARE YOU OUT HERE?!" It's you; both a good and bad thing. Good, because out of all his traveling partners, Four must admit that you're his favorite. Your presence arouses a similar sense of calming comfort in him as being around the Minish does, the only difference being the wooziness you curse upon him from your smile alone. Yes, it would be safe to say that Four has become enchanted by your beauty, both inside and out, so he's actually quite happy to hear your voice as you search for him. The problem then? He's still the size of a Minish himself and the only person in the Chain who knows about this ability of his is Twilight, not you.
It's okay. This is fine. He's barely the size of a rupee, hidden amongst a tall forest of flora. To find him on your own, you would have to actively hunt through the flowers and blades of grass which you definitely aren't doing now. Instead, you're scanning the entirety of the field at eye level because you reasonably believe that if your friend is truly out here, you'll be able to easily spot him by doing so, after all, he may be shorter than you, but not as short as to be below your feet (if only you knew).
Four plans to stay silent and wait for you to move along elsewhere which would give him time to turn back without your notice, however he hesitates to commit to that decision once you come into sight, allowing him to officially see just how worried you look. If he didn't know any better, he'd say you appear to be on the verge of tears, growing more frantic by the second.
You can't be blamed for your concern. Four has been gone for a while and isn't usually a Link to wander, not to mention you were told he left in a huff after being on the receiving end of harsh teasing from some of the other boys. No one has heard from him since, so in your mind, you've concluded that he must be really upset - possibly even hurting someplace.
Not that he knows it yet, but you've been searching for him nonstop after finding out what had happened back at camp which is why you're in this field now; it's the last place you can think of as you grow desperate to find him before the sunset fully sets. How terrible would Four have to be to ignore these fears of yours, letting you continue worrying yourself sick when it's within his power to smooth your anxieties instead?
"...Uh, I'm right here," You can be forgiven for doubting you hear anything at all provided how quiet the voice had been and the fact that no matter which direction you turn to, you can’t seem to locate the source until it speaks again in a squeak, "Down here. To your left."
You're understandably shocked to look down and find a miniature version of your friend struggling to climb up a small nearby rock (which must feel like a mountain to him), his presence suddenly very clear as his colorful tunic helps him stand out against the gray, "...F-Four? Wha - How did you get like this? What happened?!"
You could spend all day coming up with explanations for your friend's new appearance, however you'd likely never land on the correct one and it doesn't help that you can barely make out any of his explanation, his voice matching a mere whisper despite how he shouts his words for your attention.
"H-Hold on. I can't hear you," You immediately kneel down in front of the rock, instinctually reaching out towards him yet freezing mid action. He cocks his head to the side, curiously waiting for you to gain enough confidence to pair with your next question, "I...Would it be okay if I pick you up? Or is that rude? I don't know if that’s rude or not or if you -"
Amid your rambling, Four nods, taking a few steps forward which you take as an invite to lower your cupped hands against the rock and allow him to climb on. Once able, you gently lift him to eye level, "Are you okay? Is this...normal for you?"
He nods again this time paired with a shrug as if this whole experience shouldn't be too much of a surprise, then again, the more you think about it, it probably shouldn't be. First Twilight now Four. You really should interrogate all the boys to find out what other crazy secrets and abilities they may be keeping from you (you're already guessing Time has a few up his sleeves).
You sigh upon realizing Four truly does seem okay, nothing about his tiny expression giving away any negative emotions, in fact you can make out an amused smile as he watches everything set in your mind, "...I was starting to freak out there a little when I couldn't find you. Hyrule said you ran off after Warrior was giving you grief about your height earlier. They made it sound like you were pretty upset - which you shouldn't be because who gives a crap if you're the shortest in the group? You're still plenty smarter and Hylia knows more mature than to tease your comrades into running away - but my point is, since you hadn't returned yet on your own I began to think that maybe you weren't coming back at all and -"
"- Thank you for worrying, but I actually wasn't that upset about what Warrior had said," Four cuts you off while setting a hand on your thumb. His touch only has about the same weight as a feather and even tickles a bit, however you force yourself not to focus on that.
"You weren't?"
"No. I was more annoyed than anything since it does get repetitive to have people constantly pointing out my height -" He rolls his eyes at the thought, "- But I don't mind being the shortest. Like you said, I have other strengths, not to mention there's actually a lot of advances to being short."
"This being one of them?" You smirk, wondering what he could've even been up to while so tiny, although that's a question for another day.
“You could say that,” Four shares your laughter, "...I guess it probably is a good thing you're the one who came looking for me, though. If one of the others were to find me like this, I doubt the jokes would ever end."
"Oh, I'm sure. They'd give you hell. You are pretty adorable like this, though."
Four blinks, not certain if he had heard correctly. He might've fully dismissed the comment if not for your own realization at what you had just said, the embarrassment clear upon your bashful expression and hurried excuses, "W-Well, what I meant to say was that...Objectively, small things are considered cute, and you're like the size of a little mouse which is adorable, even though you're always cute, it's especially when you can just fit in the palm of my hand like this - which isn’t the point! But I, umm -"
Once again, Four is kind enough to save you from digging yourself further into a hole, the only difference is he does so without much prior thought, instead blurting the words eagerly himself, after all this might just be the perfect opportunity to get it off his chest, "- I think you're cute, too! You're, uh, always cute, too."
You stare at him without response which may have been a scary thing if not for your wide, delighted grin; something that only confirms Four's previous statement.
"Could you, um...?" He coughs into his fist, looking away from you with a fierce blush, "Bring me a bit closer please?"
It takes you a moment to understand what he means, but once you do, you quickly nod and move your hands closer to your face, thus bringing Four close enough to lean out of your hands ever so carefully so that he may place a barely felt kiss upon your nose.
Startling him a bit, you can't suppress the squeal you give as a reaction, "I'm sorry, but that was sooo adorable!"
He chuckles and although he may not make a sound beside it, don't doubt that he feels the same squealing joy in his chest as you sit back in the grass with him held warmly against your cheek.
.
.
.
"...Shouldn't we get back soon? Won’t the others worry?"
"Let them. It can be their punishment for being jerks earlier."

“Can’t believe how hooked on the library you’ve gotten, I don’t even own a forge so I don’t know how you’re planning to use half of what you’re reading.”
“I’m just thinking about if we ever find our way back to Hyrule… learning more of your customs is fun anyway.”
Maybe I shouldn’t have pointed that out, he’s drooped a little bit but maybe I’ll be able to cheer him up. Maybe I should look more into a silver working course for him, there’s got to be something like that around here right? Even if we get on a train or drive out somewhere it’d be worth it for him. For now, though the trip to the library will have to do. Hopefully, it won’t be too difficult to get there through the snow now that I think about it. It wasn’t supposed to stick as much as it ended up, there’s at least a foot of it out there.
“You’ve chosen one of the worst days to do this, you know right? Your coats on the hanger by the way.”
“Can’t exactly control when I need to take the books back can I, I mean unless you’d prefer to pay the late fee.”
“With how cold it’s probably going to be on the way there I’m honestly so close to just paying for a couple days of it. Couldn’t you just y’know split and send vio?”
Got rewarded with a smug grin and an elbow to the side for that.
“Splitting for such a small task really? Anyway you’d still have to walk him there, the others too cause you know they’d get jealous.”
“Well I could always spend some time alone with them later”
“You really don’t want to go out in the snow do you.”
“No-? It’s cold. Wait what are you - OI!”
Wiping the remaining snow off of my face I could now see that his smug smirk turned into a full shit-eating grin. Perfectly fitting for the fact that he’s standing just outside with another snowball ready to go.
“What was that for!??”
“You can’t say no to being in more snow now can you? You’re prepared for it.”
“I can absolutely say no.”
Met me with another snowball to the face. As he started to laugh and run off, like he’s taunting me to follow him. Not that it isn’t working.
“OH COME ON.”
“Come make me regret it then.”

more totk rewritten thoughts
since the mastersword still breaks at the start even in my rewrite, its gotta get restored somehow, so i think i wanna be a little 'classic' about it;
you can find the broken mastersword in a cave system near hyrule castle, its very obvious so you are more likely to come across it and pick it up, it doesnt use up an inventory slot but gets its own just like it did in botw
once you find it zelda inspects it and decides you need to talk to probably purah or impa to determine if its savable, since while it got damaged before its way worse this time; you get told you should ask the deku tree about it (so theres an actual incentive to go to the forest of the krogs/koroks) and discover that its been corrupted
in the corrupted forest you can walk around in freely here, without the mist teleporting you around since the spell of the krogs/koroks isnt working anymore, the center is mostly the same as in canon
zelda detects bigger concentrations of miasma all around the forest, at each point she directs you to is a miniboss, in total there are 3, but while the trees in the forest start to grow leaves again after you defeat each of them (there are mostly to all barren in botw too so i thought that would be a cool thing to siginify the ground has been cleansed more now) the center and the dekutree are still corrupted, however the deku trees insides are now accessible, once you go down there there is a boss (main big one thats unique and not just phantom ganon, tho that WAS a cool moment in canon, im using phantom ganons as the guys you gotta fight for the memory tree thingies so it would be too much reuse u think) once you are done with the first phase it flees into the underground via burrowing down, you follow through the hole and theres phase two in an underground boss arena themed around roots .. since its in the roots of the dekutree still
afterwards the forest goes back to normal (just with the other trees more alive again) and the deku tree tells you to put the sword back into its good ol pedestal, while its not gonna be fortified against miasma it can restore the blade form, and due to you cleansing the forest and making it more healthier it will not take ages to do so
then you are left to your own devices again, but once you reach the middle point of the game, after fighting ganondorf for the first time (which also triggers the miasma memory tree thingies i made a concept of a while back) you can go back to the forest and get the mastersword back, its blade restored physically but it being still vunerable to miasma and has only little attack power
zelda has the idea of going to the springs to ask for a blessing for the sword, however the deku tree suggests to ask the three dragons for it instead (so if you havent tried it yet you are hinted to go and try an land on them, since you couldnt do that in botw, also reference to skyward sword and how the mastersword got to be) after each blessing it gets higher damage and durability; once you obtain all three it still does not seem to be where it should be
now here i am a little unsure about if i want zelda to bless it also (similar to how skysw zelda needed to bless it) or if you should bring it to the giant hylia statue in the forgotten temple
(for zelda it would be neat bc its both a reference and something more character connected, but also you where already hunting down the deku tree and the dragons for it so making you go yet somewhere else again seems a little much; i like the giant statue as a way to guide you there but then again i dont think you an incentive for literally every place)
(on a side note about link shiekah arm, it has a battery that recharges and you can upgrade, but i also thought about making it so you CAN push it past its battery but then it takes from your health instead - like the destroyer in the botw DLC, but slower- which eliminates the need for an equivalent of the lil zonau charges)
