He shouldn’t be doing this. He shouldn’t be giving in like this. He should be stronger than this. He shouldn’t be thinking like this. He shouldn’t be  wanting  this. He shouldn’t. He shouldn’t.  He shouldn’t.
But fate is a cruel mistress. And he can’t stand it when you squeeze your thighs together and look at him like he’s the only thing you’ll ever need.  He can’t stand it.
Still, He’s supposed to be a knight. He’s supposed to be a hero. Disciplined and proper. Courageous and strong. Polite. Gallant. Respect. Dignified.  Honorable.  He’s supposed to be  all those things.  And he is! He swears, deep down inside he is. He knows he is.  Everyone  knows he is. He’s been congratulated by the king directly before. Called upon by him to take up arms and join the fight. And He serves Princess. He serves the people. He serves the kingdom. Hell, he’s even wearing some of his royal armor right now. He’s supposed to be a knight. He’s supposed to be a hero. He’s supposed to be  protecting you  right now.
Not lifting up your dress and gripping your hips as he bounces your needy little hole down onto his cock over and over and over and over again.
It’s not what he should be doing. He has a mission. He has orders. He has a task to complete. Duty to fulfill. People to  protect.  People who  need  him. But your pussy feels so tight and so warm and so  wet  around his cock it’s amazing how he managed to last this long. But now that he started, he knows he can’t stop. He  won’t  stop. Not until he’s finished. Not until you’re  both  finished.
  “ Ah….um, Link- Ah~”
  However long it takes.
“You like that, princess?” He murmurs lowly, blue eyes narrowing in on your face as your eyes cross and your mouth falls open into a lewd expression. You don’t respond- at least, you don’t respond with words to his question. But at this point, he’s not even sure if you would have been able to hear him over the sounds of your cute little whimpers and moans as he thursts his hips into you. Or maybe it’s the dirty sounds of your  soaking  wet little cunt taking in every single inch of his dick that keeps you from hearing the sound of your lover’s voice. He doesn’t know for certain, but the selfish,  selfish  part of him likes to think it’s a combination of the two. And the rational part of him? “You’re taking me so well pretty girl.  So well. ”
The rational part of him  knows  it’s a little bit of both. Plus the fact that you always manage to get a little dick drunk when someone fucks you good and proper. And luckily for you, Link’s happy to play knight in shining armor to his needy little princess and her  perfectly tight little holes -
Fuck,  you bring out the worst in him. But you know that don’t you? He swears it. He swears you do. He swears you  have to .  Goddesses,  he doesn’t even remember what he’s supposed to be doing right now. He knows it was supposed to be something important. Something only he could do. But then you started getting anxious. After every battle, after every fight- you still manage to worry about him. You still manage to fear that your powers and your efforts as his support won’t be good enough.
It’s cute how you worry. It’s cute how you care. But he had a job to do. And he needed you in good shape to do it. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t quell your nerves. Your silent shaking. Your quiet whimpers. And worst of all? Every promise that he’ll protect was starting to fall flat in your ears. Every comforting touch didn’t seem like it worked. Didn’t seem like it was  enough . But he had a job to do. A job that included your safekeeping and your safe return. So he did what any good knight would do.
He pulled you into the nearest closet he could find and got you nice and relaxed on his fingers before stuffing you nice and full with his cock.
Now your moans bounce off the walls like hymns in a church. Now his name falls off of your lips like deities in a prayer. Now you can be protected. Nurtured. Cared for. All by him. All for you.
And maybe there were better ways of taking care of you and your fears. Maybe an orgasm and a good dicking down isn’t exactly what you need in this moment. But your precious little pussy is taking his cock so effortlessly that he’s starting to feel less of a knight and more like a man. A man who can’t help but have wants. A man who can’t help but feel lust. A man who can’t help but need to  fuck  a pretty girl when he’s not supposed to and make excuses about it.
And he’ll do it again the next chance he gets. He’ll do it all over again.
  “ Mmm, Link I’m…I’m close…”
Your whimper is quiet, but within the four walls of this closet, it could be the loudest thing in the world right now. Louder than the loud slap of his pelvis hitting against your skin. Louder than his armor groaning and creaking under all this movement. Louder than the sound of you get exactly what you asked for when you look at your hero to distract you- to  save you - from this moment of fear.
“ Oh, yeah baby? You’re getting close? ”
But that’s the thing… he knows. He knows because you’ve been getting louder. He knows because you’ve been getting  tighter . He knows because every single time his gaze falls back to the spot where your bodies join, and his dick gets swallowed up by your  perfect little cunt  time after time, he feels his own core tightening up in a way he can only assume will leave you nice and full and  messy  until he gets the chance to clean you up later on. He  knows  you’re close. He  knows .
“ Well, that’s too bad, princess.”  He grinds out, eyes narrowing into slits as his hands tighten his grip on your hips. And  goddesses,  how you whimper. Goddesses, how you  whine . But no matter how many times you beg him and you cry to him he doesn’t change up like he knows you want him to. He doesn’t shift his angle to hit deeper. He doesn’t speed up his thrusts to hit faster. He doesn’t cater to your every whim. He doesn’t listen to your heavenly cries when you beg him to let you reach euphoria with every single breath you take. At least, not this time. At least, not yet.
But fuck,  you bring out the worst in him. You bring out the absolute worst in him. You bring out the  man  in him. So it’s only fair. It’s only fair that he takes what’s his. It’s only fair that he calls the shots. That he makes the orders on this battlefield. That he fucks you how he wants to. That he fucks you how he needs to.
That he fucks you like he absolutely should.
Because deep down in his mind, he’s still a knight. He’s still disciplined and proper. Courageous and strong. Polite. Gallant. Respect. Dignified.  Honorable.  He can learn to say no to you. He can learn not to give into your every want. To your every need. He can learn. He can do it. He’s your knight in shining armor. He’s your one and only hero. Your one and only  everything . So he can do it. He can do it. He can.
  Can’t he?

My Forgotten Love (Yandere BOTW x reader)
Tumblr media
Link often wonders if he's better off without his memories.
As he explores across the distant land of Hyrule, he's constantly bombarded with echoes of the past, of the person he once was.
He was a hero, a knight who wields the master sword, the sword that seals the darkness. He protected the princess of Hyrule, the one who carries the power of the Triforce of wisdom. He was strong, courageous, brave. Thats what everyone told him anyway.
He never felt strong, courageous, or brave. In fact, he was afraid most of the time. Afraid of dying, afraid of his past, afraid of what lies ahead of him once his journey is over. He was always somewhat afraid, but as the last protector of Hyrule, there was no place for fear. So, he buried it all down, never acknowledging it, in the hope it would disappear.
The fear bubbled up and almost spilled out of him when he found an abandoned house near castle town that caused his head to spin. It was lonely, Link would've missed it if it wasn't for the pain it caused. it was small, only a single person could've lived there, but it felt homey, and strangely warm as he walked inside. It was a single room decorated with a desk, bed, and fireplace, a pot hanging above it. The walls were covered n maps, notes, and other little writings that were worn to time.
The desk was in the far corner of the room, a single, unlabeled book, on top of it. It called to him, like a distant friend you haven't seen in a while, filling his body up with warmth that drowned out the pain he previously felt. His body moved on its own, quickly opening it up, reading note that was attached inside the back of the cover.
"(Y/N) (L/N)'s personal diary. Please do not read if your name if Purah or Robbie."
(Y/N). (Y/N)? Why does his chest hurt when he reads the name? Ignoring it, he flipped the page, absorbing the words on the page.
Entry 1:
"I don't know how to start this. Purah had suggested starting a diary log to record my day to day. Why you ask? I never got a straight answer from her. Purah's like that, bringing things up quickly and dropping them just as fast. Either way, I guess recording my thoughts isn't that bad. As long as it gets, Purah off my back for a while, I'll do whatever she asks. Speaking of Purah, Impa (her younger sister), recommended her to the Princess to study the recently excavated Shaikah tech. Is it bad to say I'm jealous?
Entry 2:
Purah can definitely tell I'm jealous. Maybe she's been reading my diary? I don't know. It might be because I'm kinda avoiding her, but it's only because I've been busy with my studies, nothing else. Either way, she's been talking nonstop to me and Robbie about her studies of the shrines. Speaking of Robbie, Purah put him in charge of the guardians, which he seems very eager about. It was then when I asked her if I could help out. She didn't give a straight answer, like always, but I could tell she was holding something bad, like she was thinking heavily about something.
Entry 3:
I'm very excited! Purah came to me and said she talked to the Princess, and she agreed to let me study the Divine Beasts! I could barely contain my happiness; I ran write home to start writing this (sorry about my handwriting). I plan on thanking Purah properly after I meet the Princess. Apparently, she'll bring me up to speed on somethings I need to know about the Beasts before boarding them. I'm just so excited, I need to take a nap before I write off this page.
Entry 4:
Princess Zelda was very kind, but that was to be expected. She was more than happy to listen to my hypothesis about the Divine Beasts. She was accompanied by her sworn protector, Link. He was, quiet, to say the least. He didn't really, do that much, just listened to our conversations quietly. It was sort of awkward, but I got over it quickly. It was weird though, it felt like his gaze was on me more than it was on the Princess. Even when I left, his stare was almost imprinted on me. Maybe it was my fault, probably. Anyway, on the Princess's request, I'll be traveling to the Devine Beasts with him. I won't be able to write then, so see you soon!
Entry 5:
I'm happy to be home. The journey around Hyrule took a little over a month, and it was very tiresome. There's lots to talk about. Firstly, I met the Champions, at least most of them. I was unable to meet Daruk, Champion of Vah Rudania. Death Mountain is too dangerous for Hylians, and it would be dangerous to bring it down the mountain. Hopefully I'll get to meet him soon, I've heard a lot of great things about him. The other Champions were great, well most of them. Revali, Champion of Vah Medoh was...very boastful. He talked a lot, mostly about himself. But I guess I would be boastful if I could pilot a Devine Beast.
I think I got closer with Link. I say think because it was really hard to tell. It took a while to get him to talk, he was silent most of the time I tried. It got to the point where I just talked about everything, just so I wouldn't have to sit in silence. Eventually, when he reached Zora's domain, he started to talk. It was sparce, but he would talk about what life was like as a child. I learned he liked to cook (his cooking is very good). He also let me talk about my findings and while it was obvious he didn't understand most of it, it was nice for him to listen to me.
I had a really great time. I hope Link did too.
Entry 6:
I think I'm being watched. Zelda has been requesting my appearance at Hyrule Castle more and more, I practically live there. Every time I step foot there, I can't help but feel like someone is watching me. I never bring it up, since I'm with the princess most of the time and I don't want to bother her. I have some ideas on who it could be, but no concrete answers. I sometimes catch Revali staring at me whenever he has business at the castle, but even when he's not there, I can feel someone's eyes on me. Honestly, I think Revali might just be hung up on me visiting Vah Medoh with one of his least favorite people (sorry Link). There's also one of the men within Hyrule's royal guard, I believe his name was Thomas. He’s pretty shy, but he had a bunch of questions about my research. We talked for a while before I was pulled away by the princess and Link. Speaking of Link, he’s been a little on edge lately, especially with the other members of the guard. He says it because they’re “distracted”. He’s even become a little, clingy? I don’t know, it’s probably just my imagination, I’m going to bed.
Entry 7:
I haven’t seen Thomas in a while. He hasn’t shown up to the castle in weeks. Link said he was slacking off and he got what he deserved, honestly it was kinda scary. I even brought it up to the princess, but she really didn’t seem to care. I hope he’s okay.
Honestly, I haven’t seen really anyone in a while. Since Zelda is nearing her 17th birthday, she’s been up at the shrine of wisdom trying to awaken her powers. Link has been with her, same with the champions, and Purah and Robbie have been busy with preparing for Ganon. It’s been really stressful, all I can really do is try to help them, and pray to Hylia that everything turns out okay.
The rest of the pages, which are slightly burn and blank, fill Link with dread. You were someone he knew, someone he cared for, someone he loved, how could he forget you? This journal is the only thing he has to remember yoh by, and it makes him want to lay down and die. Out of all the people in all of Hyrule, why wasn’t he able to protect you. This was his fault.
Link doesn’t acknowledge the tears that runs down his face as he pockets the journal with immense care so to not damage it. He doesn’t wipe them from his face as he leaves the house that brought him a fleeting sense of comfort and warmth. And Link doesn’t flinch as the tears continue to steam and hit the grown as he walk away, heading towards Hateno.

Day 9 - Fake Dating
Fandom: Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Character(s): Link
Type of Request: 31 Days of Oc-Trope-R
Note(s): The requester wanted Reader helping Link fend off his suitors and I love this idea so much. Also, I make Link talk a tiny bit in this (like only a few words at a time) Also Also I felt so bad for Paya while writing this ngl (sorry Paya!!)
Tumblr media
You blamed it on how nice he is to everyone. Oh, you need ten apples? He's doing it. One hundred crickets to impress a girl? Done. It's insane what he'll do (you're still annoyed that you watched him cut grass for hours to get the crickets to only actually give the guy ten).
But then he was going to Karkariko Village next. He seemed nervous as you two traveled on the new horse he tackled and won over. Usually, he liked using his Sheika sleight, but you both quickly found out that you are not transported with him, and he had to hurry to get back to you before the Guardian shot you. It was not a fun time.
"What's wrong, Link?" You ask as your arms are wrapped around his waist while he directed the horse. He's quiet for a bit as he ponders the question. Or maybe he heard you and was choosing to be quiet like he sometimes does. A sigh is heard from him as he looks over his shoulder. You did not realize how closely you were holding him and tried to put some space between you.
"Be my girlfriend," he says. No lead in, no 'hey I have a favor', just a flat-out proposal and your jaw dropped. Link quickly realized his mistake and pink crossed his cheeks as he shook his head. "Pretend! Pretend to be my girlfriend!"
You had a million questions and were starting to ask before Link filled you in. Apparently almost every girl and woman (some men too) in Karkariko village has a crush on Link. Well, maybe not Impa, but that's still a large number. And Link does not know how many excuses he can give so he wants you to pretend to be his girlfriend just to keep them off of him.
And you agreed.
You don't know what came across your mind to agree, but you did. You and Link talked about things like how you started dating or other couple questions that might be asked. It was a bit weird, but ended up being fun? Mostly because he's a dork and you teased him quite a bit when he talked about how he didn't realize a lizalfo tail couldn't be used as food for some reason and a fairy had to save him after eating the dubious food.
When you make it to the village, you don't quite understand what Link needed help fending off. The people seemed nice, some kids wanted to play tag (and you found it adorable how Link did so), and there was a shrine that Link stole the apples from. It wasn't until you and Link went into a shop that you realized.
"Why hello, Link, here to fill up your quiver?" She practically purrs and your jaw drops at how much confidence she has while Link pushes you forward.
"Um, actually, we would like some arrows please," you say, and she glances to you in disappointment at you being between her and Link, who she still tries to eye as a piece of meat.
"And you are?" She asks, her tone a bit bored, but you can tell she tries her best to be nice to a new customer. Even if you're a bit annoyed with how she's treating you.
"His partner," you tell her, and she pauses as Link breathes a sigh of relief. She glances between the two of you and, without thinking, Link holds your hand.
Sure, he's held hands with you before. Mostly so you didn't fall off a cliff or when the wind was really bad. But this context felt different. Well, you're fake dating so it really shouldn't be that weird, but the issue is that you liked it.
You hear her mutter something about "typical men breaking a woman's heart" but you ignore it as Link buys up about every arrow in the store. You thank her as he drags you outside and sighs.
"'Fill up your quiver'." You are so quick to tease him, and his face goes a dark red as he puts his hands over his face to hide. You're interrupted from your next teasing as you hear a gasp and you glance over and see a, well, a very pretty girl.
"Hello Paya," Link greets politely to the girl while continuing to hide his face and her face gets redder than his is. And you realize that she likes him too. It's difficult not to realize it as Link gives you a look for help and you smile gently at the girl, Paya.
"Hi," you say, and she looks to you in confusion as her eyes glance between you and Link and how close you stand together. And you watch as her heart seems to shatter, but she keeps giving a smile. Your own heart aches with her reaction.
"Hello, I'm Paya. It was nice seeing you again, Link." It was sweet how she greeted you if only tears weren't forming in her eyes as she quickly walked off and Link sighed, muttering that he'll have to talk to her later.
You keep walking through the village with Link, continuing to be his fake girlfriend but the smile on your face felt faker. Your mind kept going back to the shattered look on Paya's face and you imagined yourself in her shoes. Link is your friend; one you've traveled with for so long. How would you react if he suddenly showed up with someone he looked really close to? You didn't like those thoughts.
Eventually you and him walk out of the village, going to where the fairy shrine is so he can catch some just in case. And you see the shining lights surrounding him and how handsome his face looks as he glances in the pool of the fountain. And you realize your "just friends" thoughts are full of crap.
You're silent as you two walk away from the fountain, following the path to a little overlook. Link sighs in relief as he sits on the ground, taking a break from the excitement while you stay standing and overthinking.
"What's wrong?" Link asks and you hate how perceptive he is. Or at least, when it comes to you, he seems overly preceptive. You force a smile and sit next to him.
"I was thinking of Paya, she looked heartbroken," you tell him and Link sighs at that.
"I know." Is his reply and you can hear the heaviness in his tone, as if he also feels guilt, but he doesn't say anything afterwards. Nothing about telling the truth or even hoping she'll be okay. You know earlier he said he'd talk to her, but you don't know what that entails. The only thing you're thinking of right now is, you don't want to end up like her, the poor girl.
"It'd be unfair if she learned that we are lying about dating," you say and Link glances over at you, giving a slow nod. "So, we should actually date." His eyes look like they'll pop out of his head.
"What?!" You wince at his reaction and are about to apologize and start to think 'maybe I will end up like Paya' but then you see the massive blush on his face again.
"Well, we've traveled together for so long and-"
"Let's date." He cuts you off from the long speech you're about to give to explain your feelings. You're a bit annoyed by how quickly he recovered, but that goes away as you sigh and lean against him, something you did as friends but now it feels different, but a good different.

Being Zelda's younger sister (and your relationship with her and the champions)
You're a year younger than Zelda
Since you didn't have powers like your sister you were in charge of researching guardians, the divine beasts, and other Sheaka technology
You're smart and know a lot about history so you're good at what you do
You're a year younger than Zelda
Since you didn't have powers like your sister you were in charge of researching guardians, the divine beasts, and other Sheaka technology
You're smart and know a lot about history so you're good at what you do
Zelda
Tumblr media
Your relationship with Zelda is a bit strained
She's always busy trying to unlock her powers, and you're always researching to learn about Sheaka technology
Zelda is jealous of you since she feels like you're more successful at your role in defeating Ganon
She hates feeling that way and doesn't blame you
She just wishes she could unlock her powers and feel like she isn't a failure
Even though she doesn't tell you this, you can tell what she's thinking
You eventually get her to open up about it, and the rift between you is gone
You keep encouraging her to not blame herself
She really apricates this and is happy to know that she has your support
Against your father's wishes, you let her join in on your research since you can tell how interested she is in it
You keep her updated on anything new you learn
Overall, you're both very close to each other
Link
Tumblr media
Despite the fact that Link had been assigned to protect Zelda, she sometimes asks him to check on you
He doesn't say much, but you grow to enjoy his company
You often tell him about anything new you've learned, always excited about any discovery you make
He finds it cute how you smile while talking about your research, but he never expresses it
He'll just listen while you talk, letting you go on for as long as you want to
You really look up to him and admire his courage
You also admire his dedication to keeping both your sister and Hyrule safe
Whenever Zelda sends him away, you often find him and spend time with him
It's times like this when you reassure him that she's just under a lot of stress
He really apricates your comfort and grows to see you as a younger sister
Revali
Tumblr media
You first meet Revali when doing research on one of the divine beasts
At first, he acts like he doesn't like you
But deep down he admires how smart you are
You grow closer the more you visit his divine beast
You keep him updated on whatever you learn about it, which means you spend a lot of time with him
You start to see past his cocky attitude and find that he's really a nice person deep down
Revali will sometimes take you flying, something you really enjoy
He's like your reluctant older brother
Daruk
Tumblr media
Daruk is really sweet and bonds with you quickly
He loves hearing about your research and will often spend time with you
He'll tell you about his culture since you love to learn new things
He thinks it's cute how enthusiastic you get about these kinds of things
He also admires you for how smart you are
But he also knows how you can sometimes feel pressured to learn as much as you can
He'll remind you to take a break and makes sure you take care of yourself
He's just really sweet
Urbosa
Tumblr media
Urbosa is close to both you and Zelda
She sees you both as sisters and treats you as such
She congratulates you whenever you learn something new during your research
She finds the proud smile that you have on your face when you do
She even gifts you a piece of Gurudo jewelry since you admired hers so much
Urbosa even offers to take you to Gurudo city
She's a great sister figure to you
Mipha
Tumblr media
Mipha is really sweet and easy to get along with
So you both grow really close soon after meeting her
She'll often join you during your research, especially when it comes to her divine beasts
She looks up to you for being so smart, despite the fact that she's older than you
You look up to her for her kindness
In a way, you remind her of her little brother
So she becomes a bit protective of you
She's another great sister figure

you're the one that i want
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: urbosa x gn!reader
summary: urbosa sits you down to have a talk about your feelings for princess zelda. but zelda isn't the one that caught your eye...
Tumblr media
“i can understand why you'd fall in love with princess zelda, but as her friend and protector, i can't allow this”
urbosa had sat you down to have a serious talk with you. you had expected the worst to happen, to get scolded for a mistake you made, but never in a million years would you have guessed that this was about princess zelda!
“i… i'm not in love with princess zelda…”
your words did little to convince urbosa. instead, she took a deep breath and sighed softly, before continuing to lecture you.
“if you're too embarrassed to admit to it, then that's fine, but–”
“no really! i– i don't like her like that, at all!” you interrupted her, before taking a deep breath. “i'm always around her, because… you are with her. i don't love zelda. the one i'm in love with is–”
“oh–!”
urbosa gasped before you could finish talking, almost as if to stop you before you could say her name.
“well… in that case…”
she hadn't expected this. urbosa went into this talk, believing she'd scold you a bit and perhaps comfort you. but a confession? she had no idea how to deal with that!
“i suppose there's no need to continue this conversation then” she got up and looked at you for a moment, before averting her gaze. “i'll be seeing you…!”

SFW prompt #5 with Sidon please! I feel like that'd be so fun especially if person A is Hylian.
warnings: fluff, mentions of nudity, Sidon is literally so in love with reader, reader is Fem!Hylian
Tumblr media
After a warm bath, you're snuggled up on your bed. Sidon comes in and coos at how sweet you look right now. He has a bottle of fancy and expensive lotion in his hands. You pat the seat next to you on the bed and he complies. His eyes light up when you open up your robe, baring your body to him.
"Oh love," he sighs happily, "I can never get over how beautiful you are." Sidon praises as he begins putting the lotion into his hands.
He begins lathering you up, humming a Zora lullaby under his breath. You aren't even sure how lucky you got to have such a romantic prince fall in love with you. Coincidentally, he was thinking the very same thing about you. How he was so lucky to have you fall for him. The two of you were very much in love.
Sidon is always careful when it came to massaging you and rubbing lotion on your skin. He knows he's much bigger than you, and he doesn't want to accidentally hurt you by putting his weight on you. He leans in to kiss you so softly before continuing to rub the lotion on you. He smiles sweetly when he notices you closing your eyes and succumbing to the pleasure of all of this.
He enjoys just how soft your skin is. His fingers begin tracing all over your moles and beauty marks that litter your skin. He coos and hums curiously as he begins exploring your body. Sidon could never get tired of doing things like this. He just loves to be able to have you stretched out on the bed like this, your body so bare to him.
"Absolutely breathtaking," he mutters as he buries his face in the crook of your neck. Your hands come up to stroke his face, then lower down his fins and his shoulders.
You cannot get over how silky his skin is. It's so much different from yours, but you enjoy getting your hands all over him whenever you get the chance to. Which is pretty seldom most days, but you are so grateful for these moments.
Soon you're lathering the lotion onto his silky skin. He groans softly as you begin massaging him. Your hands soothe all over him, tracing his fins and then caressing his muscles. You can't believe just how strong he is sometimes. He purrs softly, making you giggle.
"My beautiful prince..." you praise him.
Pretty soon you're both lying together on the bed, caressing one another. It's quiet and it's peaceful. And it's perfect for two lovers falling even deeper in love.

The sun warms the skin of your rosy cheeks as it pours from the canopy of leaves overhead. The woods smell of fresh earth as it had just rained prior, allowing the cool air to kiss your nose sweetly.
You've forgone your constraining heels, deciding to go bare foot as you race through the forest, hoping to find a rare herb whose blooming window now only opened.
If you miss such an opportunity, the herb won't bloom until a couple moons later. Such a thought causes you to huff as you continue running, hoping to out run your knight who seems keen on following you.
Besides your soft pants, you hear your assigned knights heavy footfalls. Odd, you think as his foot steps are always so light.
Breaking from the tree line, the morning sun paints you in a golden glow that warms you up, chasing away the chill that was starting to settle in your limbs. You hear the footfalls come closer and you start your sprint once more, being careful with running on a fallen log that acted as a bridge over a small ravine.
"Your highness!" A voice calls out, the familiarity of his voice causes a slight upturn of the corners of your lips.
You're halfway on the large log before you meet sky blue eyes that remind of you clear, cloudless skies that you oh so adore. His cheeks are slightly flushed, his hair windswept from the run from the castle to the forest you've forced him to endure, and yet, his eyes remain kind.
"Ser Link," You hum thoughtfully, borderline coy. "Kind of you to finally join me."
You see Link's nose scrunch slightly, such a small twitch would've gone unnoticed if you haven't been paying close attention as your knight never seems to break character.
Always it seems that he chooses to keep a tight lipped mouth, his face stern, his body rigid as to alway be prepared, and yet, his eyes are such an endless pool of blue that you can read quite well—more likely are allowed to—and only with you, he seems to talk, his words always so soft and endearing.
Even if you cause trouble, like now, where he's to chase after you, or if you were to endanger yourself accidentally, it is never anger or frustration you see in his bluebell eyes, but always worry.
"It's dangerous." His words are curt, yet there's a slight furrow to his eyebrows that will go unnoticed by many. But you aren't like most people, you catch on quick when it comes to his tells and his eyes-
Stars, they're filled with an apparent worry that guilt starts tugging at your soul.
You swiftly turn, resuming your dash to the other side as a flash of lavender and your eyes widen as you see a superbloom of armoranth, a rare commodity even for the likes of the nobility and imperial family as well.
"Princess!" Link calls out worriedly but your feet is already touching the soft grass on the other side of the ravine and only after a few steps away from the log, you turn.
Your eyes widen as you see Link hurriedly crossing the makeshift bridge, his sword strapped to his back as his arms a somewhat raised to help him balance on the log as he hurried to you. His lips are pursed cutely, the furrow between his brows deepening and becoming apparent. Such a sight causes you to smile widely as a sweet laugh tumbles from your lips, being unable to hold it back.
Link's eyes widen as his head snaps quickly to your direction as he stumbles off the log slightly and onto solid ground. You're kind enough to quickly grab ahold of his hand to keep him steady and even kinder to reduce your cackles to soft giggles.
"You must be careful now, Ser Link, I don't want you tripping again." You tease softly as you give him a sweet smile and your knight looks gobsmacked at the sight.
You cough slightly, snapping Link out of his daze before he drops to one knee, keeping your hand in his in a firm yet soft grip that allows you to pull away if you so desire to. He's quiet as his eyes become somewhat sad and you feel bad for teasing him and keeping such a nonchalant facade with him.

Palace politics and the nobility were unkind, you and Zelda having not been spared from it as the sole heirs to Hyrule. Having been assigned knights against both of your wishes, Zelda was rightfully angered, feeling more constrained by your father's decision.
In a fit of anger, she had urged you to rebel against your knight as you also shouldn't be controlled even more. You sighed, silently promising yourself that you'd be polite to your knight while trying to maintain a facade of indifference to your knight in hopes of quelling your sisters unhappiness.
It was only when Zelda's showcase of her displeasure and unfair treatment directed towards her knight became so blatant that you are reminded to maintain your promise to yourself to treat your own knight with grace.
You recall of the times Link had saved you from your own stupidity so selflessly and without regards to his own safety and it pushes you to soften your cold facade with your knight as he too is only fulfilling his purpose, a royal guard bound by the king's order whose words is absolute.
After arguing with your father about the medical treatment regarding those affected by a sudden winter blight, or therefore lack of, you stormed out of the throne room in anger.
You then callously snapped at Link for no reason as he simply followed you as he usually does to your quarters. In the heat of your frustration, you became blind to his sky blue eyes faltering, hurt flashing through them briefly.
Later that night, going against your father's orders and not informing Link, you sneak out of your room and into the Applean forest. The said forest is a great deal of distance away from the castle but you had caught wind of a great deal of herbs growing there that would effectively help combat the effects of the blight.
Bundling them a handful in a small cloth, you scolded yourself for your harsh words to your knight and promised to make a healing balm composed of the herbs to give to Link as an apology, and to hopefully turn a new leaf as well.
But as you are starting to make your way out of the forest, a loud squeamish squeal rips through the air and your blood chills. From the corner of your eye, you see the red skin of a bokoblin wielding a wooden club.
Chastising yourself for not bringing Link with you, you break into a sprint, the beast giving chase. Breaking out of the the tree line, your heart pounds against your chest but as you gain a decent distance between you and the bokoblin, a chilling sound of a guardian focusing its laser causes your heart to drop.
You look up swiftly, seeing the reddish glow of a guardian going on the offense due to detecting an enemy. A malfunctioning one, Zelda had mentioned some defects. You cursed, biting your bottom lip anxiously as the bokoblin closes in on you and the guardian prepares to fire its beam.
You berate yourself for your unkindness towards Link in your last moments with him and you are forced to come to terms with your untimely death.
Time seems to slow and just as you see the laser make its away to you, a firm yet gentle arm wraps around your waist as your back lands against something solid and warm. The smell of sweet spearmint and earthy pine fills your nose and your body slackens in relief as you recognize this scent—his scent.
"Link." You murmur softly as you turn your head, bearing witness to his skills that rivals none in the kingdom.
He quickly brings the Hylian shield you had gifted to him during his knighthood ceremony and quickly parries the guardian beam causing the large tank of ancient tech to combust immediately before Link tears his arm away from you, choosing to draw his sword and making a quick work of the bokoblin.
Time between you and Link seems to stand still as you stare at his back. Guilt consumes your heart, you worried him horribly this time. Stars, if anything had happened to you, they would've punished Link and ultimately put his head on a pike.
You open your mouth to profusely apologize but Link is quick to bend the knee in front of you, his eyes never leaving yours and you feel horrible when you bear witness to the clear stress and worry swimming in his eyes.
Link gently grasps your hand, squeezing softly that doesn't hurt you in anyway that seems to reassure himself that you're safe and real. "I-.. I know you despise me for restricting your freedom, but please- please, next time if you wish to go out, please take me with you so I am to safeguard you from harm." He looks away, lips pursed softly as his eyes become sullen.
By some instinct—an urge—you cup his face, softly easing him to look at you in the eye once more. You're to speak yet the earnest look in his eyes forces any words to die on your tongue and you're taken off guard with how kind and true your knight is.
"Ser Link, I'm sorry for making you feel as if I despise you. In truth, I don't hate you at all, yet despite that, my actions showed you otherwise, and for that, I apologize. I apologize for snapping at you earlier, and I'm extremely sorry for worrying you with my stupid stunt tonight."
His eyes widen softly, the stars gleam from overhead making them twinkle and the sight seizes your breath. "I'm sorry, Ser Link, for everything." You murmur softly, bowing slightly.
A gentle squeeze to your hand encased in his brings your attention back to him. Your eyes widen from the sight in front of you, your heart stuttering and breath hitching ever so slightly as you see a small smile grace Link's face. He then leans further to place a soft kiss to the back of your balm, his honest eyes never straying from yours.
┊ ੈ✩‧₊*°࿐ྂ
Guilt ebbs away at your psyche once more as you recall that you've never apologized for your constant indifference towards him and have actually kept it up.
A grimace itches at your face, "I'm sorry, Ser Link, for the incessant teasing." You sigh meekly, your thumb mindlessly rubbing back and forth on Link's gloved hand.
His eyes widen slightly and you hate yourself even more at the implications—stars, of course he doesn't expect a sincere apology from you as you've gone up and ditched him the second time since the guardian incident!
His reaction bothers you more knowing that the reason why you've began to avoid your knight was because of the constant skips your heart would make whenever you and Ser Link interacted.
Stars, he is your knight and you a princess, never mind your reputation, you'd only sully his and make him a court fool in front of the nobility if you're to pursue him-
You lose yourself to the brewing storm in your mind and ever the observant knight he is, Link notices how your eyes become sullen. He gently squeezes your hand, a move you've become familiar with, and it works as your attention moves back to him.
"Princess, I've no need to forgive you for something that doesn't upset me. I- I'm just glad that you've begun to talk to me comfortably." He murmurs softly and you will your heart to not skip a beat because stars-
His eyes are so blue—an endless sea of honesty and softness that you've come to realize that he's granted only you the privilege of seeing—and the sight has your heart pounding.
A small smile tugs on your lips, "It is one of the many things I can do to make up for how cold and indifferent I've acted towards you, Ser Link." You purse your lips, looking away and Link sees how truly sorry your are in your eyes.
He squeezes your hand once more to get your attention on him once more and the pained smile on your face tugs at his heart strings. "I've constantly taken advantage for your unwavering loyalty, Ser Link. I'm-"
Stars, it truly is upsetting. He is only doing what he is ordered to by your father and you punish him nonetheless? How unkind and unjust for you to treat him like that-
How cruel can you be to someone so innocent in royal affairs? The thought is chilling and it overwhelms your control over your emotions.
A choked gasp leaves your lips as he sees your eyes glaze over with unshed tears. Link is quick to rise, his body moving closer as he patiently waits for your signal.
You catch on and nod despite being unaware of his intentions. Yet from the honest look in his eyes, you realize that you trust the man in front of you wholeheartedly. "I'm sorry for every wrongdoing I've committed against you." You mutter, looking away from him in shame.
Link's hands gently cups your face, and like on the night of the guardian incident, he mimics what you had done and makes you look at him in such a gentle manner that intensifies the ache in your chest.
Your lips are pursed, eyebrows furrowed in guilt, and Link smiles softly to ease your worries. You melt, cheek leaning into his hand as he gently caresses your cheek with the soothing motions of his thumb.
Beautiful. Absolute stunning. Link finds the thought at the forefront of his mind as he looks at you.
"It's okay, princess. Just promise me that you'll allow me to stay by your side." Link murmurs, eyes looking into yours with such a softness that could make you melt even further.
You bring up your hands to cup his as the sweetest smile gracing your face sends his heart racing. "I promise, Link."

Little prince
Masterlist
Pairing: Sidon x Female!Reader
Slot: Leash+Merfolk+Cockwarming
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Darling, please stop moving around so much or I won’t be able to control myself” You moved closer to whisper into his ear.
“You’d better, unless you want to get punished” You felt him shake inside you, leaning back against his chest you pulled him down by the leash around his neck “Did you like that? Do you want me to punish you?”
“Y/N” You pulled at the leash again “Please,I can’t take anymore” You had been going at it for hours,it was too satisfying watching such a big and strong zora prince bend to your will. Even though his hands were big enough to cover your whole body he still didn’t dare defy you. Standing up you let him slide out of you,he was still rock hard and completely out of breath. Thankfully this part of Zora's domain was isolated and it was far enough that no one could hear, especially if you were in the pool of water.
“You’re not going to leave me waiting are you?” You teased, pulling at the leash.
“I would never do that to you my dear, but I don’t think my legs could support me right now” He let out a low laugh. You straddled his hips, pushing him back inside you. His hands immediately grabbed your hips as you moved slowly. It only took seconds before he was begging you to cum. “Y/N,please. Please can I-”
“Yes,you can” You moved faster, pumping his other cock with your hand.
“Y/N” His chest was covered and as white as your insides.
“Maybe I should do this more often” He laughed, his entire body rumbling making your insides shake.
“I don’t think I can handle this on a regular basis” You laid down on top of him, kissing his cheek. As you covered his face in kisses, his fin swaying like an excited puppy. He laughed louder than before. “But if this is how I get treated after, maybe I can-” Your laugh cut him off.

The air is ripe with the sweet smell of autumn as you travel through Akkala, and Link smiles and nods when you comment on it. The horses are calm and well-rested from the night spent in Tarrey Town, and they eat up the path of Kaepora Pass in an energized walk. You find yourself leaning into the gait of your mount more than usual, reveling in the feel of the sun warming your back and the gentle swaying back and forth of the mare Link procured for you at the beginning of your journey together a few weeks ago.
When Link leaves you to conquer the shrine on Rist Peninsula, you’re happy to stay behind and mind the horses. You leave them to graze freely on a ridge above East Akkala Beach where you can faintly see Link moving around the spiral of the peninsula, nothing more than a blue blob carrying a glowing orange orb. Only when all of the monsters have been dispatched and your friend is “safely” inside the shrine do you let yourself lay back on the grass and enjoy the unseasonably warm day.
By the time Link returns, the sun is nearly down. You’ve just fed the horses each an apple from your pack and are peeling one for yourself when Link pulls himself over the edge of the ridge. “Hey. You greet him with a smile, and he responds with a wide grin. “Someone’s chipper. I’m guessing you didn’t have to fight anything?” He shakes his head. “Good thing it’s your turn to cook dinner tonight.”
When Link groans dramatically, you’re expecting it. You even feel a giggle beginning to bubble up inside you all of a sudden, but you’re quick to take a bite out of your apple to hide it.
What you’re not expecting is for Link’s groan to cut off suddenly and a semi-familiar voice to roar: “Get down!”
Your training kicks in instantly as you drop into a crouch, and you feel something whistle over your head. You jerk your head up to see Link deflect an arrow with his sword, and you roll between your mare’s legs just in time to miss a second arrow burying in the ground where you just were.
In one smooth movement, you unhook your bow and quiver from the mare’s saddle and slap her on the rear to send her sprinting off into the trees. When you swing around with an arrow knocked back, Link is already locked in a fierce back-and-forth with a Yiga Blademaster. Two footsoldiers are trying to flank him, and you’re quick to send an arrow through the furthest one before you sprint to intercept the second, drawing your longblade as you do.
The Yiga footsoldier barely lifts his sickle in time to intercept your blade, and you immediately know this is a highly trained group when he nearly disarms you with a flick of his wrist. You steel yourself for more of a fight than you were expecting—you’ve never dealt with a Yiga that took you longer than fifteen seconds to dispatch, and a small part of you is giddy for the unexpected challenge. You haven’t had a challenge since you last sparred with Dorian in Kakariko.
You smirk as you parry away the soldier’s latest blow and aim a well-timed kick to his chest, sending him flying back a few feet. Quicker than a flash, you’ve dropped your sword into the grass and redraw your bow, loosing a single arrow to end the battle. Twenty seconds.
A grunt of pain catches your attention and you spin around just in time to see the Yiga Blademaster gradually pressing Link toward the ridge above the beach—you imagine a fight like this would have been nothing to him before the Calamity, but he’s only barely recovered his strength.
“Link!” You shout and take off toward him. His blue eyes shift to you for a split second, distracting him just enough for his opponent to kick him in the chest exactly as you just did the footsoldier.
You pass over the patch of grass where you dropped your sword and snatch it up as you sprint by. “Link, the cliff!” you scream out in warning, unable to do anything but watch as Link’s boots scuff the edge of the ridge. You’re mere meters away when you catch one last glimpse of him, hair shining like spun gold in the setting sun. Then, the Blademaster hunches over him and thrusts his blade forward.
“No!” you gasp and finally, finally reach the Blademaster. He’s too large and slow to turn around in time to catch your blade, so you dispatch him quicker than you ever have someone if his stature before. Only once he disappears in a puff of purple smoke and a shower of rupees do you peer down the edge of the cliff. Link is motionless where he lies on the beach, and there’s already a spot of red growing around him.
“Link!” you shout and scramble down the cliff, ignoring the way the rocks tear at your palms. You reach the bottom of the ridge in record time considering you don’t have a shield, and your legs nearly give out as you turn to run the last few steps to the hero. Link rolled to a stop about five meters away from you, and the difference between seeing him now, bathed in the gray light of dusk, versus when the sun was shining on him only a few minutes ago is stark.
He doesn’t move when you fall to your knees next to him. Not even a twitch. When Impa first introduced you to the revived Hero of Hyrule, you specifically remember observing how his fingers drummed on his thigh the whole time he was kneeling in front of your tribe elder. You’ve never seen him so still before, and the sight fills you with dread.
Tears well up in your eyes as the realization that you just heard Link speak for the first time hits you like the swing of a Hinox. And it was to warn you just in time to save your life. Impa had told you of the vow of silence he took when the princess was placed under his charge—that in order to remain one hundred percent focused on his mission, he would only ever speak if undoubtedly necessary.
You never thought you’d hear his voice beyond his faint grunts in battle, or when he chuckles quietly at Beedle’s inane jokes. And the thought of never hearing his voice again has your hands hovering over him uselessly, at a loss for what to do. The knees of your armor are starting to soak through. Please, please, please.
That’s when his body erupts into turquoise flames.
You’re glad no one is around to hear the way you screech at the sudden flash of light, or how you scrabble backward in panic. Link seems even more startled than you as he shoots up with a strangled gasp, back arching off the beach as if to escape his prone position on the ground.
“Link?” you hiccup, tipping forward on your hands and crawling back toward him. “You…”
Link sits up with a low groan of pain, effectively cutting you off. You watch him warily as he looks at his hands as if seeing them for the first time, then lifts up the front of his blood-soaked shirt and examines his bruised abdomen. You follow his gaze to the short, newly-raised scar in the middle of the bruising. “It worked,” he mumbles, and you gasp slightly, heart skipping a beat at the sound of his voice once again.
“What worked?” you ask. Link’s eyes whip towards you in surprise, as if he’d forgotten you were there. Mipha’s Grace, he signs, and your heart stops at the simple explanation. Link’s never been one for words, usually answering you with short sentences and leaving you to sort through the rest of the context yourself. This time is no different, but you find yourself stumbling into the explanation rather quickly.
You were accompanying Link a fortnight ago when he freed the Divine Beast Vah Ruta with the help of Prince Sidon of the Zora. When you asked what he discovered in the ancient machine, he had merely signed: A gift from Mipha. She said she’d heal me when I need it.
The statement had baffled you too much to ask any more questions…but now, the reality of his words click into place.
“You died?” you shriek, and Link reels back at your sudden volume. You scramble forward the last couple of inches and cup his cheeks, dragging your hands down to his shoulders as you cry: “Please tell me I didn’t just watch you die and be brought back to life by a goddess-damned ghost, Link—” Link’s eyes widen at your unholy words. Sure, he’s heard you curse and joke before, but never in this way. Never so desperately.
He pulls you down into his arms to avoid looking into your tear-filled eyes any longer. He can feel your chest heave as you sob, the fear and adrenaline of the past few minutes finally catching up to you. After a few ragged breaths, you reach your arms up from where they’re bunched awkwardly against his chest and wrap them around his neck, and suddenly Link’s arms are full of you.
You smell like blood and metal from the scuffle on the ridge, but Link can still detect the warm smell of sunlight in your hair above it all. There’s a tear in the waistband of your armor when he bands his arms tighter around you, pulling you ever closer when he realizes that you could have died too. And you wouldn’t have come back.
He tightens an arm around your waist, pulling you flush against him as he guides your head onto his shoulder with his other hand. His nose brushes the tip of your ear, breathing in your sunlight as he runs a soothing hand down the back of your head.
“Goddess.” Link finds himself chasing you when you draw back suddenly and look at him with concern, ignoring the tears still running down your cheeks. “Are you okay? Are you hurt? I can’t believe I’m crying when you’re the one who just died—”
Link blinks as you continue to ramble, watching your face closely as you cup his face and turn it side to side, examining him. Your sudden change in demeanor is giving him whiplash and he finds himself wishing you were still tucked in his arms. He lifts his hands between you and signs your name directly in front of your nose to get your attention, forcing your eyes to cross so you can see his words.
I’m okay, he continues with a smile he hopes is comforting. I’ve died before.
Despite yourself, you find yourself laughing as Link finishes his sentence, and your giggles grow slightly hysterical when you focus back on his face to see him grinning. You’re an idiot, you sign in lieu of speaking through your laughter.
Obviously. I just died, he jokes again.
You laugh once more and tug him sharply back into your arms. His chin collides with your shoulder at the force of it, but you couldn’t care less. He hugs you tightly to him again as he feels your arms shaking around him. “Idiot,” you repeat.

Chapter 2 — Kimi
Tumblr media
[chapter warnings: rude bitches, panic attack]
t.o.c ; << | >>
"Do I know my way around Hyrule? Do you not?" You gazed at the boy's pointed ears. "You're Hylian, you should know your way around. You're from here."
Link looked away from you. "I don't remember." He mumbled.
"What?"
"I don't remember." He said a little louder. "I, uh, got injured. And now I don't remember anything. I need to talk to Impa, but I don't know who that is or where they are here."
Impa. What a familiar name. She was the elder of Kakariko when you were still young, and you supposed by the sound of it she was still kicking. Good for her.
"I might be able to show you to her, but that's as far as my knowledge goes." You smiled sheepishly. "I don't know Hyrule either, except for Gerudo Desert. The rest I've only seen through maps."
Link raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you a traveler?"
"This is only my first week of it. I left on my twentieth birthday a few days ago." You shook your head, not wanting to delve further into why you didn't know anything about Hyrule and grabbed Link's wrist. "Come on, let's go see Impa. I think I remember where she stays.”
If the elder Sheikah remembered you, she didn't show it. Instead, she focused on the man in front of you, ushering you upstairs with a girl named Paya as quickly as you had entered.
Paya was around the same age as you, yet seemed completely different. She was nearly spastic, moving around her room with no purpose other than to fidget. She answered your attempts at conversation with one-word answers, only reciprocating when she wanted to turn it towards the stranger downstairs.
"Link, you said his name is? Is he your boyfriend?"
At the question, you awkwardly laughed. "Him? No, I just met him not too long ago and he asked me to bring him here."
"Oh," Paya sounded relieved. Your tight smile turned into a real one as you sensed a wonderful opportunity.
"Yeah, he's real cute, isn't he?" You subtly tried to tease, "He might be into you. I saw him looking our way when we were leaving."
Paya turned a bright red, matching the accents of her outfit nearly perfectly. "R-really?!" Her voice raised a few notches, "I- there's no way! Maybe he was looking at you, you're gorgeous!"
"I'm nothing like you," You made a face, slightly playing it up to see how far this would go while simultaneously rejecting the compliment, "If there's any gal Link might be into, it's you."
Paya seemed to swoon at the thought, but before she could respond Impa's voice called you both down from her room. Link stood where you left him, but this time with a different wardrobe. He had a bright blue tunic on, matching his eyes nearly perfectly.
You weren't the only one who noticed, though, as you noticed the red on Paya's face returning.
Link thanked Impa and glanced at you— a silent way of saying "let's go". You followed him out and began your trek back to the hotel.
"What did she say?"
"She said that I could maybe get my memories back by going to places that I have pictures of."
"Pictures? Do you have a camera or something?"
"Or something." Link reached for his belt and grabbed some device— you recognized it as a Sheikah Slate, old technology you learned about while scouring the poor excuse of a library in the Yiga hideout. They weren't the smartest, so books were uncommon. "This isn't mine, it's an old friend's. She has these pictures of places we've apparently gone together, but I have to go to Hateno to get it fixed."
Together? Were they together? Goddess, that would suck if Link had a girlfriend he didn't even remember. Poor chick.
"So you're going to go to these places and just... what? Hope for the best?"
Link shrugged. "If I have the time, yeah. I have more important things to do right now."
"Like?"
Link didn't answer, instead opening the door to the Inn and letting you in first. He went to his bed and sat down, pulling out the slate and swiping through it. A while passed and Link continued to just stare at the screen, brows furrowed in what was probably some attempt at remembering his past.
"You're gonna get a headache from looking at that."
"I already have one."
You stood up and went over to his bed, slipping the slate out of his hands and turning it towards yourself. "Why is the map blank?"
"I have to go to certain towers to get a map of each region."
"Ohh, those weird super tall glowy things?" You grinned like a child in a candy shop when Link nodded, "They just showed up a little bit ago. What, were they made specifically for you?"
"Kind of? And those shrines are too. I just wish I knew where to go and where I am."
"Goddess, you must be mighty special for a bunch of ancient technology to just work for you." You joked.
Link looked at you with a look you didn't really recognize. "You said you just started traveling. Do you have a paper map?"
"I do." You turned and dug into your bag, pulling it out and unrolling it in between you. You also grabbed a pen, just in case. "Where do you need to go next?"
"According to Impa, first Hateno. Then Zora's Domain, Eldin, Rito Village, and Gerudo in no specific order."
"Hm," You looked at the map, "That order seems to be the most practical— starting close and then traveling to the further ones. It just works out that Hateno is first on our way, I need to go there too."
At that, Link paused. "Our way?"
"Yeah, I'm coming with you. I need to go to those places too, so it works."
"Uh, absolutely not." Link shook his head and took the pen from your hand, "My journey is way too dangerous for you."
"What?" You grabbed the pen back, "We have the same journey— we're going to the same places. How is that too dangerous? If anything, it would be safer to travel together."
"I just wouldn't be able to protect myself and someone else, you know?"
"Who said I needed you to protect me?" You were a little offended. Was this because you were a woman? "I can handle myself."
Link raised an eyebrow as if to challenge that. "Y/N-"
"Listen, you don't remember anything, right? You need someone who at least knows a little bit. I might not have actually traveled but I read books and know people who do. I know the monsters and the cultures of the regions and all that shit. You need that. Let me come along and help. I'll stay out of whatever shit you have to do."
Link seemed to think about it for a moment and then sighed. "Fine."
You cheered and looked back down at the map, marking the locations you needed to go to— the main towns in every region, stables, smaller villages, and Hateno itself. "First, Hateno. Then, to East Necluda to Zora's Domain."
"Why do you need to go to Hateno so badly?"
You looked up at him and raised an eyebrow. "If I tell you my mission, you have to tell me yours."
"...We'll see."
"My little sister lives there. I haven't seen her in four years, so I need to visit. As for the rest of Hyrule, I'm looking for my brother. We all got separated." Link looked as if he was going to ask questions, so you interrupted. "You?"
"I have to tame the Divine Beasts."
You couldn't contain the loud laugh that erupted from your throat. "I'm sorry- what? Ganon controls those beasts, nobody can tame them except for the Cham...pions..."
You trailed off, suddenly putting two and two together.
Link's name was familiar to you. You'd heard it numerous times.
The Hylian Champion, destined to destroy Ganon with the Sword that Sealed the Darkness.
The Yiga drilled it into your head that he was a bad guy. You didn't believe them when they said he'd return, and yet you sat in front of him, talking as if he was a long-lost friend.
"I thought the Champions died 100 years ago."
"They did. I almost did, but I was put into a healing shrine on the Great Plateau. I woke up about a week ago. No memories, nothing. Just the Sheikah Slate and the ghost of the King telling me what I have to do."
"That's— wow. That's a shocker." You didn't know what to say. The traumatized part of you was conflicted— riddled with guilt. Guilt for betraying the organization you grew up brainwashed into, but also guilt because this guy seemed like a great dude. And yet you were trained to kill people like him. Or more specifically, just him. "So what if I just joined you on this little adventure and didn't fight the Beasts with you? Would you feel better then?"
"I definitely would."
"Deal."
"Deal." Link held out his hand and you grabbed it, feeling the rough callouses on his palm and the warmth of his skin that seemed to seep into your own. You were both definitely holding this handshake for too long.
You coughed awkwardly and pulled your hand away, rolling the map back up and tucking it into your bag before sitting in your own bed. "Wake me up when you're ready to leave. Goodnight, Link."
"Goodnight, Y/N."
———
"This is fucking stupid."
"You're fucking stupid. Drop the attitude or I'm leaving your ass."
"You're the one who woke me up at 5am, Link! You can't be mad at me for that when we didn't go to bed until 1."
"If you're gonna adventure, you gotta get used to running on little sleep. From here on out, it's tough."
You huffed and crossed your arms, focusing on Taz's mane as Link rode his own horse beside you. "Shit sucks."
"Imagine having the fate of Hyrule on your shoulders along with that."
You cut your eyes at him. "I liked you better when you were quiet."
At that, Link let out a little laugh. It was the first time you'd heard him laugh and it was a pretty sound. You smiled back, ignoring the slight tinge of heat in your cheeks.
"Thanks for this, by the way. Letting me tag along and all."
Link didn't look at you, choosing instead to focus on the road ahead. "It's no worries, really. I enjoy the company. I've already figured out how lonely traveling gets, so it's nice to have someone to keep me away from my thoughts for a while." He let out a dry laugh.
"It's gotta be tough-- being destined to save humanity. I'm glad I can help in any way.”
Link finally looked up at you and flashed a wide smile, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. "Hateno is a few more hours. How about we take a break here for lunch?"
You nodded and pulled Taz off of the road into a large patch of grass, watching as Link pulled an axe out of an extra weapon holder on Epona and started going towards a patch of trees a few yards away. Patting Taz's nose, you pulled out a pot and some vegetables you had bought in Kakariko and met Link, starting a fire and placing the food inside to cook. After a while, you were able to pour the soup into two bowls and you began eating.
"I didn't know you knew how to cook." Link hummed, stuffing his face with the veggie cream soup you had made.
"You don't know a lot about me in general," You joked, "but I've known for a while. I guess I've become good since you just finished your second bowl."
"Super good!" Link put his bowl in his lap, seemingly finished, and looked at you. "So tell me about you."
You raised an eyebrow, pausing from your soup. "What?"
"You said I don't know a lot about you, and you're right. So tell me more. I think I have a right to know who I'm traveling with."
You internally cringed, wondering what all you could give away without letting Link know the truth. You know, the truth that you were actually raised by an organization created almost specifically to kill him.
"My mom was Sheikah and my dad was a regular Hylian, so I grew up in Kakariko with my brother and sister. We, uh, got kidnapped and taken away for a while. Eventually, we escaped and I ended up in Gerudo Town and I didn't know where my siblings were. As you know, I found out my little sister is in Hateno. So now I'm here, traveling and looking for them." You shrugged, feigning nonchalance as Link raised an eyebrow.
"You glossed over the kidnapping pretty quickly. That's scary."
"It was, but they kind of just kept us there. No clue why." You looked down at your soup, finding both it and talking about yourself unappetizing. "What about you? Do you remember anything from before?"
Link shook his head. "Nothing. Impa said to go back to her after I've remembered something, but there's nothing so far. I was Princess Zelda's knight, and I apparently failed at defeating Ganon."
"Yeah, no shit." You snorted. "This time will be different, though."
Link glanced at you with a face you couldn't describe. "I hope so." He stood up suddenly, taking the bowl and putting it back in Epona's pouch. "Impa said something about there being someone in Hateno who could help fix my Sheikah Slate. Let's go so we can get there before sundown."
———
"Halt! Who goes there!"
You skidded your horse to a stop, Taz's hooves digging into the wet dirt road beneath you. Link stopped shortly after, eyes wide at the pitchfork being brandished in front of the both of you.”
"Uh, I'm Y/N. That's Link." You backed Taz up a bit, not trusting this random short man outside of the village. "We're travelers."
"Travelers, eh?" The man looked you up and down with a scrutinizing gaze. You felt like shrinking under it. "Hylian?"
"Yes?"
He lowered his pitchfork, but not by much. "General Store is right ahead, same with the Inn. Don't go nowhere else causing trouble in my town. I'm sworn to protect this place with my life."
Link raised an eyebrow at the man. "Thank you, uh,"
"Thadd."
"Right. Thadd." You interrupted, "Could you tell us where to find a girl named—"
"You're askin' the wrong man. I ain't one for giving tours."
"We're not asking for a tour, I just need to find Kimi-"
"If you want a tour, go talk to Seldon right at the boutique. He's real nice."
"I— okay." You resisted rolling your eyes, "Thank you."
You continued forward, sharing a look with Link before finding the boutique and a smiling man out front. He waves you both over, "Hello there! My name is Seldon, care for a tour of our wonderful town?"
"Uh- we're just looking for one thing." You replied, feeling a little bad to deny his offer.
"Wh- so no tour?" Seldon sighed loudly, his shoulders dropping in disappointment. "What can I point you to?"
"Do you know where a little girl named Kimi lives?"
Seldon raised an eyebrow. "Kimi? She's too young to be having random visitors without her parents knowledge—"
"I'm her sister. Before she came here. She somehow found me and I just want to see her." You pleaded.
Seldon seemed to think for a second, then sighed. "Alright, but if it turns out you're lying Thadd's gonna have at you both."
Without waiting for a reply, Seldon turned his back to you both and walked up the main road of Hateno towards a small cluster of houses near the top. After leading you a few doors down, he stopped at one with a bright red door and gave it a knock, only stepping back once it opened to reveal a woman a bit older than you.
"Can I help you?"
"Uh yes," Your heart was pounding, "A little bit ago, I started getting letters from my little sister, who you took in—“
"Y/N? Is that you?"
A meek voice came from behind the lady, and then out peeked a small head of hair. Suddenly, the girl grinned widely and pushed past the woman, running to you with her arms wide. "Y/N!"
You smiled as well and crouched down, engulfing her in a tight hug, fighting to keep tears back.
"Kimi..." You pulled back and held her shoulders, "You've gotten so big!"
Kimi giggled and fiddled with the edge of her dress before gasping and turning to the older woman. "Mom! This is my big sister, Y/N! She finally came!"
"That's wonderful." The woman smiled. "I'm Ameil, and my husband— who'll be out in a sec— is Laslow! Kimi has said so much about you. Come in!"
You smiled at Ameil and stood to walk in when your wrist was grabbed by a gloved hand. You turned back to the owner— Link— and raised an eyebrow.
"That research lab up there on the hill— Impa said I needed to go there."
"What do you want me to do about that?"
Link snorted, "Nothing. I want you to catch up with your sister, so I'm going to head up there and see who I can talk to about fixing my Sheikah Slate. I'll be back soon."
"Oh, okay." You smiled at him, "Be careful, it looks like it's going to rain soon. I don't want you getting sick."
"Yes ma'am." Link fake-saluted and turned away, heading towards the research lab.
You, on the other hand, followed Kimi and Ameil inside. Sitting in one of the living room couches was who you assumed was Laslow. Ameil joined him on the couch while you and Kimi sat on one across from them.
Ameil continued to smile— it was getting a little strange at this point, but you shrugged it off— while Laslow put down his book and paid attention to you.
"So, Y/N, we've heard a lot about you." Laslow began, "But one thing we've never understood is how she came into our care in the first place. One minute Ameil and I are traveling the Taobab Grasslands, next we're picking up a little girl unconscious under a tree and taking her home. How did that come to be?"
Your breath caught in your throat and the world began to spin, but you tried not to show it.
They really went in for a first meeting, didn't they?
"Honestly," You steeled your voice and looked down at Kimi in a silent way of saying 'I will not tell'. "There was an accident. Kimi, our brother, and I were in Gerudo when a sandstorm hit— that Divine Beast is no joke— and we got separated. I couldn't find them, so I went to Gerudo Town and stayed, trying to find them. It took four years for Kimi to finally reach me. How did you find me, by the way?"
At your redirection of the topic, Kimi perked up. "At first, I just asked every traveler who came into Hateno if they knew you! None of them did, but a Rito suggested that I send a letter to every town asking about you and describing you, and if they found you then you would write back! And you did!"
"I did." You laughed, "I told you I'd always be there for you, I keep my word."
Kimi threw her arms around you once again and you felt a shift in the atmosphere. You looked up from your little sister to see Ameil, still sitting in the same spot, still smiling. She folded her hands in her lap and took a deep breath.
"I just think it's rather irresponsible for you to have your younger siblings out in the harsh elements like that in the first place." Ameil shook her head in disapproval. "It's common sense for sandstorms to happen in Gerudo."
You tried not to roll your eyes and reminded yourself that Ameil didn't know the truth— you might have to be the bad guy and take blame that doesn't even exist to save your identities. "We didn't have much of a choice. I can't go into all of it but—"
"But what? What could you have possibly put little Kimi through that required you to trek through potentially deadly weather and risk her life? Do tell."
Ameil was obviously pushing your buttons, trying to reveal things that you were sure she had pushed Kimi about before. "I can't."
Ameil threw her hands in the air. "I am Kimi's mother. I have a right to know what goes on."
You opened your mouth to respond, but Kimi beat you to it.
"Y/N, are you going to look for Hiro next?"
"Yes!" You were relieved, "Have you heard from him?"
Kimi's face dropped. "No, but I want to come with you-"
"Absolutely NOT." Ameil interrupted. "You are not going on some dangerous trip with strangers.”
"But Y/N is my sister. My REAL sister. You're not even my real parents!"
Ameil gasped, and Laslow sat up and practically growled, "Go to your room!"
Kimi stood up and ran to her room, slamming it hard enough to make the house shake. You could only watch as she left, the atmosphere getting even more uncomfortable in her absence. You didn't want to look back at Ameil and Laslow, but when you did Ameil was already looking at you with a look you couldn't recognize.
"You do see where we're coming from, right?" She asked gently, as if you were some toddler who needed talking down to. "Our sweet Kimi is our pride and joy. We can't possibly let her go back into the hands of the person who lost her. Who knows, she could go missing a second time. We don't quite see you as a responsible big sister. After all, why did it take so long for you to come find her?"
Condescending. That was the look.
At Ameil's words, you realized her feelings towards you. Ameil hated you. She looked down on you— blamed you for "abandoning" Kimi. But she doesn't know the truth.
How you risked your life for your siblings.
How you turned and faced the Yiga Clan head-on to give them enough time to escape and survive, even if you didn't.
How you fed them, defended them, took care of them while you were all imprisoned in the desert, working every day to get stronger and stronger to one day escape and create a better life for Hiro and Kimi.
You stood up and walked to the door, ignoring Ameil's fake protests and questions about why you were leaving, and slammed the door hard enough to shake the house once more. Tears blurred your vision as you walked down path, heading nowhere in particular except away from that house, and in your rush you accidentally bumped into a body.
"Goddess," You wiped your face, "I'm sorry-“
"Y/N, what happened?"
Link's voice sent a wave of comfort over you, and his hands gripping your shoulders gave you enough stability to collapse, tears streaming down your face more as your knees hit the ground.
Link fell to his own knees in front of you, quickly pressing you into his chest and gently shushing you, waiting until your sobs ceased before talking.
"What happened?"
"They-" Deep breath. "They blamed m-me for Kimi going missing. And my brother. And-and they said I wasn't a good sister, and I know that I'm not— who leaves their siblings for four years? I couldn't help it—"
You started to cry again, coughing out your words and wheezing in breaths in between. Your hands trembled, yet you couldn't stop it. Eventually it spread to the rest of your body, shaking like a leaf in an emotional storm. It was hard to focus on one thing when everything crowded in your vision and overwhelmed your senses.
Breathe in. You couldn't.
Breathe out. No.
In. Please.
Out. You can't.
Was this it? Was this the end? Just like that?—
"Y/N!"
Link.
He's still holding you.
His hand is laid atop your head, rubbing soothing circles into your hair. Your face is in the crook of his neck, finally able to breathe. His smell was comforting. His other arm wrapped itself around your torso, holding you close to his chest. When did he pull you onto his lap?
"It's okay. You're okay. Is Kimi upset with you?"
"No," Words struggled to escape, "Just her parents."
"Then who cares? You still have your sister. She still loves you."
You stayed quiet for a second, contemplating. Link was right— you still had Kimi. Ameil and Laslow were the issue. You just had to somehow prove that you were responsible enough to be around Kimi again. But how?
Find Hiro. Reunite your family.
Your muscles unclenched, and you slouched into Link's warmth a bit more. In your thoughts, he had begun to rock you gently and laid his cheek upon your head.
"Yeah." You yawned.
"C'mon, silly." Link shifted and stood you both up. "Let's go to the inn and rest, then. We'll figure out the next step tomorrow when we're fully rested."
"Right."

Hey! Could I request a Breath of the Wild x fem Reader before the calamity, where the reader is a princess and Link is her knight and they already have fallen for one another and then her father arranges a marriage for the reader and Link wants to run away with the reader but the reader at first doesn't think it's worth it but then Link later convinces her by sneaking in her room at night with smut?
Until You're Finally Free (BOTW! Link x Reader)

Once your favorite knight in shining armor pushed open the window leading into your bedroom, you knew you would break.
It was only a matter of time. You  knew  that. There was no denying it. There was no denying how you felt. No denying what you wanted deep down inside. Especially after you watched just how carefully he handled every single step as he entered your bedroom and made his way over to you. Because you could imagine the trouble he went through. Leaving his own bedroom in the guardhouse after his curfew. Sneaking past all the other guards on his way over here. Scaling your tower in the dark of the night and somehow managing to sneak through your windows all undetected. He does so much for you. He does so much for the sake of you. Because he  loves  you. And you love him. So, so very much.
That’s why the thought of having your hand promised to another man kills you so much inside. Link was one of the first to know. About your engagement. About how much it made your heart ache and ache and ache. But there’s nothing your Link could do about it. He could fight monsters and thieves and mercenaries and more. But he couldn’t fight your father’s decisions. He just  couldn’t .
But Link reminded you of something you never knew to be true until you met him. He reminded you that you’re more than just a princess. That you  deserve  more than what another man wishes of you. And that you’re plenty capable of making your own decisions. You were born putting crowns on your head. Who says you have to die with them still on as well?
And so you know exactly what your father would think. You know exactly how mad he would be if he found out. But that’s  if  he found out. That’s if he finds you after this night. But if you’re being honest? You know he will.
But you’re not thinking about your father right now. You’re not thinking about the repercussions of your actions. You’re not thinking about how you spent a few hours sorting through your clothes and picking out some of your plainer dresses and pulling them to the side once you retired to your room for the night. And you’re not thinking about how there’s an unassuming suitcase- half full of the things you need just hiding beneath the very bed you sleep on every single night. You’re not thinking about that at all.
Instead, you’re thinking about how Link just spent a good five- no ten (or was it fifteen?) minutes beneath your nightgown, licking at your slit. You’re thinking about how he seemed so happy, so  eager  with his tongue. Flicking it up against the most sensitive parts of your body. And then wrapping his lips here and there as he uttered the sweetest of words between your thighs. Words that you would only hear in the romance novels you used to sneak out and steal from the library. Words that make your skin burn with arousal and your heart skip a beat or two as you tangled fingers in his hair and pulled and grabbed and  enjoyed  yourself in a way that was utmost unbecoming of a princess. At least, that’s what you were thinking about earlier.
Because right now, you’re a little more focused on the way he moves so softly and carefully as he pushes the rest of your nightgown up and tucks it below your chin. And he’s focused on running his hands across your body. Letting his warm fingertips run against your curves to explore. And he’s smiling as you shiver when the cool leather of her arm guards brush against your skin as he touches you more and more.
The way he looks at you- it’s so comforting. It makes everything feel so much more natural. It makes everything make so much more sense. The way he guides you in his every movement. The way he still finds the time to compliment and kiss and  love  every inch of your skin as his dazed eyes take the sight of you laid out for him on your bed again and again and again. The way he unconscious grinds his clothed manhood into you. Sending shocks and shivers throughout your body as you get used to the feeling of something so stiff and so hard pressing against the most precious part of your body.
And the way he very consciously pulls himself free from his trousers and aligns himself with your awaiting entrance.
You had been watching carefully. Mesmerized by the shape and the color and the size and the- well, the everything about it. But as the tip presses against your slit, giving you that first taste of what you’re about to experience, you couldn’t help but swallow nervously and flicker your eyes up to his face. But to your surprise, the man that you love more than anything else in the world…
  “ Are you ready, princess?”
  “Yes…my hero…”
...had never stopped looking at you.
Not even as he pushed himself into your warm, wet insides and took what was rightfully his. Not even then. Not even now.
And so, as the bed begins to creak with every thrust. And your voice starts to carry a little louder and louder with every second that passes, and you recall that you know. You know exactly what your father would think. In fact, you know what exactly he  will  think. How he would feel when he finds out. How mad he will be. How red his face would get. What his first orders would be. Who he would shout at first. Who he would take the brunt of his anger out on. You know exactly how it will go. But for now? You don’t think about that.
Because that’s in the future. And truthfully, you can’t tell everything about the future. No matter how well you think you know something, there’s always a chance that things won’t go how you thought they would. Besides, you’re a princess after all. Not an oracle. At least for the night.
But in the morning, who knows what the future holds. For him. For you. For each other. Because nobody…nobody- not even you will know what tomorrow has promised. Because not even you will exactly who or what you’ll be when the sun comes up. And neither Link nor your father nor anyone in the world will know. Not until the time comes. Not until the dawn breaks. Not until you decide for yourself.
  Not until you’re finally free.

Since you mentioned doing botw requests, would you be able to write another part to forgotten love, where it turns out reader was isekaid
Like they were there before the calamity, managed to get home then ended up back in hyrule - and back with yan!link?
Also just gonna say that how you write link as a yan is absolutely incredible and I'd love to see more about how you think he'd act post calamity when he's more feral
Forgotten Love Pt. 2 (Yandere BOTW).
Tumblr media
I really like this ask, so I'm incorporating it into the part 2. Thank you, Anon. (Also, for the case of the story, Legend of Zelda isn't a game).
I tried to expand the relationships the reader has with the other characters, so I hope this is good.
Also, also. I got all the glyphs, most of the memories (except for 1, 11, 14, 16, and 18) and finished all the temples so use that as a reference for your asks.
"(Y/N)! Are you seriously not listening to me right now?!"
You shot up, nearly spilling the coffee in your hands. You look across from you to see your coworker Alice, giving you a stern look with her arms cross. She wasn't really your friend, at least in your eyes, but you were glad to have someone to talk to.
You look down at your coffee, which was now cold, and give Alice a nervous giggle. She scoffs and eats the last bite she had left of her croissant. Whipping her mouth free of crumbs, she rolls her eyes at you, "seriously (Y/N), you need to get your head out of the clouds." She picks up her empty coffee cup and used napkin. She eyes you before, giving you a sigh and sympathetic look.
"Look, (Y/N), you need to get some help with your dreams. You've been struggling with work and barely leave your house. Try going to a sleep doctor, or anything. Please." Alice sounded desperate, looking down at you with sad eyes, before leaving you alone in the cafe.
You knew Alice was right, your dreams have been very, life like, to say the least. You can only remember a few bits and pieces, like the sounds and smells, but nothing concrete. You've tried talking to Alice about it, but it just sounds like your crazy, and you can tell she worried for you.
---
"Do you remember them?" It was a strange question that the Princess barely understood. Zelda looks at her sworn protector, raising an eyebrow at him. He gives her a short look before continuing.
"(Y/N)." Link says, his voice quiet. Zelda's hand tightens around the torch at the sound of your name. Her pace slows as her looks down at the grown, sadness filling her body. Link stops and looks back at her, his face dark and baren of any emotion.
"I do." She says sorrowful. It would be a lie to say she hasn't thought about you in the last 100 years. In fact, she constantly thought about you. She often thinks about your friendship, how you helped her grow her knowledge of ancient sheikah materials, how you comforted her when she came back from another day unable to awaken her powers. You were there for her, and she wasn't, and now you're gone.
When Zelda looks back up, Link is staring directly at of her, eyes unmoving. It was scary, his intensity. She stepped back a little but kept her composure nicely. "Why do you ask?"
Link ignores the question, "There's nothing less of them." Link voice is monotone, but that doesn't scare Zelda, it's the blank gaze behind his eyes when he talks about you.
Zelda walks up closer to Link, taking her place besides him. She gives him a hard look, courage filling her body, "We lost a lot of people in the Calamity."
Link was silent as they continue to walk in the darkness underneath the castle. Zelda took a small breath at Link's silence, aiming the torch further ahead of her. Although it was quiet, her mind was filled with you. She knew Links feeling for you, she knew how dark and possessive they were, but she couldn't blame herself for your death. Thousands of lives were lost in the Calamity and while she will always cherish you, you were gone, and there were bigger things to focus on.
Like now, the murals in front of them, depicting the beginnings of Hyrule. She stares at them in wonder, "Look Link!" She hands him the torch, grabbing her Purah pad to take a picture, "This is fascinating!" Link didn't respond, not that Zelda noticed as she took her pictures. Satisfied, she put the pad back on her belt and took the torch, motioning for Link to follow.
As they walked deeper and deeper down, the air became thicker and thicker. Link instinctively grasped his sword, removing it from the sheath on his back. The room slowly became red, smoke floating around them and filling their lungs. The hallway was only illuminated by Link's master sword and the torch Zelda was holding, slowly revealing the mummified body ahead, a glowing hand protruding out of it.
As they slowly move closer, the hand falls, a stone falling and rolling towards Zelda. The crouches down and pokes at it, before cradling it in her hand. A bright light emanates from it before a deep beating sound everts her attention back to the mummified corpse.
The corpse shifts and jolts awake with many cracks, rising up slowly before falling back down, his jaw hanging loosely open. It was silent for a second, Link moving in front of the Princess, waiting. His grip on the Master Sword tightens and his stance becomes firm as Zelda holds the stone close to her chest, the torch still in hand.
Suddenly, the corpse turns toward them, his eyes fiery red as the red smoke billows from them. Red tendrils start rushing out of the open would that was once covered by the glowing hand, beelining towards the two. Link thrusts the Master Sword forward, piercing one of the tendrils in its center, but it barely flinches as it travels up right hand, stealing him of any previous power he once had. Link winces in pain as he grasps his arm, which was now covered in the strange substance. Barely a second later, the tendrils are moving back towards him, Link swinging his sword forward to stop the attack, only to witness the powerful sword be shattered, the tip shooting forward and grazing the corpse on the cheek.
"Link!" Zelda calls out, concerned for his safety. Link makes no sound as he focuses on the reanimated corpse moving in front of him.
"Was that the sword that seals the darkness? A blade that shatters so easily against my power cannot save you from me." It groans, slowly standing, vile pops and squelches coming from its body. "Zelda..." It drones, her eyes widening at the call of her name. Her breath wavers as she moves closer to Link, who the corpse is now directing its attention too.
"You, who carries that fragile sword." Its words are filled with disdain, "are Link." Link faulters, but only for a second as the corpse continues.
Finally, at its full height, it looks down upon the two Hylians, "Rauru placed his faith in you..." He looks almost smug, "and that was all you could do?"
"How do you know our names?" The corpse ignores Zelda's question as the strange substance that previously attacked them bursts out of its chest once more, flying towards the ceiling. It crumples piece by piece, shaking the ground below.
As Link's arm begins to radiate with pain, he hears the Princesses voice before succumbing to darkness.
---
A shiver ran up your spine randomly as you walk throughout your home. Your eyes were heavy as look around you for signs of unusual. Your apartment was dark and quiet, not strangle for the nighttime. Coming up with nothing odd, you shrug it off and back into your bedroom, closing the door behind you.
You sigh as you enter the comfort of your own bedroom, sitting down on your bed. You look at the time on your phone, 1:43am. You throw your phone down lightly and stare at your ceiling. You close your eyes and think of the dreams you had the previous nights, trying to come up with anything that you could explain to your therapist. You couldn't remember much, only faint hints of faces that became more and more unclear as you slowly drifted off into sleep.
---
The air around you feels warm, welcoming even. It envelopes you in a hug, and you can feel the sun beaming down on you snuggle deeper into what feels like grass.
Grass? That was strange. You open your eyes, covering them instantly when the sun enters them. It takes a second before moving to look at your surroundings. You were in the center of a large field, a few buildings far in the distance. Standing up slowly, you move your in front of you to keep your balance, your legs must've fallen asleep.
You stretch your arms above your head, attempting to get all of the sleep out of you. You stay relaxed, assuming this to be a dream. You don't feel all completely here, so it must be the case, right?
"Excuse me? Are you alright." A soft voice comes from behind you. You quickly turn around, coming face to face with a tan woman with long blond hair. Her arms and legs were covered in white markings, and her face was filled with concern. She moves closer to you, stopping when you move back in fear.
"Do you know who I am?" She frowns when you shake your head. She slowly moves closer to you, tilting her head in confusion, "Are you friends with Zelda?"
"Zelda? Who's Zelda." You question, causing the woman to pout. She cups her chin, assumingly to think, smiling when she is gifted with an idea.
"You should come with me." She speaks gently, "Me and my husband can help you." She moves her hand out for you to take.
You didn't know whether to trust her or not. You just met her but judging by her kind expression and willingness to help, you saw no issue with going with her. Either way, this was just a dream, so there's no harm. You walk up to her and take her hand, the woman smiling when you do so.
"I'm Sonia." She says, looking at you. You relax slightly, telling her your name as she leads you towards your destination.

Link no longer cares about time. The days and nights blend together without a care in the world, and Link does not blink an eye.
He wonders what Hylia has in store for him, subjecting him to this cruel fait again, right when he was starting to become acclimated to the world around him.
To take his memories from him, his powers from him, the only person he loved from him, he wonders what path she has for him, and if it will ever end.
Link no longer cares about his own wellbeing. Eating whatever food he can find, slaying any enemy with little remorse, traveling the skies and the depths of Hyrule with little fear. He no longer cares about the idea of hurting himself, not after everything was taken from him. Now, he wonders if death is the quickest way back to you.
The last time Link remembered being at peace was when he was with you. When you would brush his hair and talk to him about your research, never ending sentences spilling from your lips, not that he cared because he loved hearing your voice. When you would make him fancy dinners after being away from each other, when you would read to him as he fell asleep.
His favorite memory was when you first moved in with him, he was so nervous. He wanted to keep you with him, forever, and the best way to do that was moving in together. He spent weeks decorating the house to your liking, making sure everything was perfect, so when you finally came, it would be so nice you wouldn't want to leave.
But you did.
You left him all alone, to deal with the Calamity, the Upheaval.
Now, he sleeps alone in his bed in Terry Town, wondering if there was a way to bring you back to him. Maybe, if he did good, Hylia would gift you to him. Either that or he goes insane, because what would all his hard work be for.
---
It's your luck that Sonia takes you to a literal castle. It was large, in the center of the land, and screamed power. Sonia didn't seem too shocked at your surprise, in fact she seemed to revel in it, leading your through hallways and corridors until reaching the throne room.
The Throne Room was long and spacious, the ceiling was draped with blue cloths, strange symbols decorating the whole room. There were only two people in the room, a strange animal human hybrid who looked similar to a goat, and a young girl who looked similar to Sonia. They were making small talk before you walked in, turning towards you when you two walk in.
"(Y/N)?" The girl says, looking at you confused. She steps carefully towards you, eyeing your pajamas, which definitely looked weird compared to the flowy dress wear they were all wearing. She extends a handout to cup your face, her fingers shaking as they touch your skin.
You tense up at her touch, eyes darting from her to the man behind her, who moves closer to you slowly. "Is it really you?" She asks in a whisper. The man moves over to Sonia, his long hair flowing with him. He stands next to her and gives the two of you a confused look.
"Do they know each other?" The man asks. Sonia gives him coy smile.
"I guess so."
Suddenly, the girl is hugging you, wrapping you up so tight you could barely breath. Tears wet your shoulder as you awkwardly attempt to console the stranger. "I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm the person you're looking for." You pat her on the back, trying to pull away. She pulls back, still holding your arms giving you a muddled look.
"W-what do you mean?" She furrows her brows, tears still in her eyes. "You're (Y/N), right?" She gives a nervous smile, "I'm Zelda, remember?"
You shake your head, not remembering a thing. Zelda drops her hands back to her side, looking a way slightly before excusing herself, leaving the Throne Room in a hurry.
"Zelda!" The man calls out but was too late, Zelda was gone before he could say a word. The man looks at you apologetically, wrapping his arm around Sonia's waist.
"I apologize, she's been through, a lot, to say the least." He offers a smile similar to Sonia, one filled with warmth and compassion. "I am King Rauru, ruler of Hyrule." He gestures to Sonia, "And this is my wife, I'm assuming the two of you have meant.
You nod and Sonia laughs, "She appeared her similar to that of Zelda. I wonder if the two are related."
Rauru nods and the room was silent for a moment, your nervous shifting directing the attention to you. You cough and mess with the hem of your shirt, "So, what is this place anyway?"
Rauru becomes stiff, "You've never heard of Hyrule?" He frowns when you shake your head.
"Well that sure is strange." Sonia says with hint of curiosity, her husband shaking his head at her words. He looks at you, placing a hand on your shoulder.
"So, you must be from another world?" He watches as confusion and then understanding flash across your face.
"Oh, a dream." You laugh "This is all just a dream." You giggled to yourself, moving away from Rauru and Sonia as your demeanor suddenly becomes carefree.
Rauru lets out a small laugh at your behavior, watching as you move throughout the halls with an air of playfulness. "They sure are strange." He says whispering to his wife. She nods, hair bouncing with her movements.
"Oh, yes they are." She pauses, looking up at her husband with a knowing smile. "Should we tell them?"
Rauru shakes his head, "No, I think not."
---
Link awoke from the memory with a loud gasp, his heart nearly beating out of his chest. He moves away from the pool of water, not caring to wait for it to settle.
So that's where you were. In the past, with Zelda. He inhales, a pleased smile creeping onto his face. He grabs his hand, well, Rauru's hand, and cradles it on his chest. He knows this is the closest he's been to you in a long time, this hand is the only thing linking you to him.
Link wonders if he'd ever get to see you again. If you'd bless him with your presence once more and he could finally feel piece. Or, if he'd been forced to deal with your death, again.
He doesn't know if he couldn't handle it.
He knows he couldn't handle it.
So, as he stares into the palm of this strange hand, he makes a vow to you. To find you, and bring you home, and never let you out of his sight again.

Being In a Relationship With Link
Tumblr media
Link is a bit of an airhead since he hasn't really had a romantic relationship before you
Because of that, he needs time to adjust, but he's willing to learn
In the beginning of the relationship, you'll have to be the one to initiate any sort of physical affection
Which always makes Link blush
He thinks you're the most beautiful girl in the world and he feels like the luckiest guy in the world
He almost feels like he doesn't deserve someone as amazing as you
The two of you often go on adventures together
Both of you enjoy it, even if he's protective
He helps you get better at fighting so you can protect yourself if he isn't there
As the relationship progresses, he's more bold with affection
One of his favorite things is cuddling
Link adores when you lay on top of his chest or next to him
He also likes having his arm wrapped around you, it makes you feel like he's keeping you safe
At random times he'll kiss your cheek, just to see you blush
His whole face will turn red if you do the same
When you're walking together, he'll always have an arm wrapped around either your shoulders or waist, pulling you closer without even realizing it
He will cook for you a lot and makes sure you eat enough
He'll also make sure you take care of yourself in general
Sometimes you have to do the same for him since he's busy worrying about you
He loves it when you do his hair for him, and will do yours as well
Link thinks it's adorable if you both have matching hairstyles
When it comes to gifts, he will spoil you
He likes buying you jewelry the most
He takes pictures of the two of you together
He keeps them as memories of the time you spend together
When you're riding a horse together, you always sit in front of him, his arms wrapped around your waist
He's all around very sweet
Sometimes he'll sneak up behind you, pick you up, and spin you around
The look on your face when he does it makes his heart melt
Link barley calls you by your name
He has so many nicknames for you, you're not even sure how he comes up with them
Link's not a very jealous person
He knows you would never hurt him
But if someone dares make you uncomfortable, he can be very scary
Link loves you so much

Reader help Link after he wakes up
Tumblr media
[ HEADCANONS ] [ The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild ]
Tumblr media
I remember reading an idea like this some time ago and also there was This discussion of how Link doesn't remember anything and still have to save Hyrule 😟
So I decided to write my own versión, hope you like it! =D
Tumblr media
Link had been waken up for a beautiful voice that lead him outside of the strange place he was on, and since Link had wake up he had been lead to do diferent things by people he doesn't know without much room to protest
Everything had culmine when the strange old man revealed to be the last king of Hyrule and tells him that he is a campeon destined to defeat the calamity that haunt the castle before disearing and leave him alone once again. Not knowing much than his mision or that he should go to Kakariko, Link start his journey
You could meet him on his way, either because you live in Kakariko or because you are an adventurer and find him on the middle of his road, either way who you meet isn't the warrior that had just wake up to fulfil his goal, who you meet is a man with old clothes that look at everything confused and amused, just like a toddler discovering the world for the first time
Lately had been happening strange things (like the towers that just appeared from nowhere) and meeting someone like him is pretty strange, he could easily be a Yiga, so being wary of him will be normal, and he can understand somewhat even if that place look somehow familiar he is nothing much than a stranger, no matter what he was in the past, is a past he doesn't even remember
When you asked him who he is or what he is doing he can't do more than look away shamessly, what he was supose to say? That the voice of the princess Zelda had just woke him up? that he is destined to defeat Ganon?
But when you ask him if he needs help he was taken aback, it doesn't matter if is for pitty or because you want to keep a close eye on him, you had just offer him your help. If you are an adventurer your help will be of great help actually, since he doesn't know how to do pretty much nothing right now, and even if you aren't one still, a little help is welcome
He still was unsure to acept your help, he didn't know if he should trust you, but in reallity he barely know what to do and some help will be good, so he hesitatly accept it. At first he just wanted to go to Kakariko to find Impa as the King had tell him, not wanting to make her wait more time than she already wait
Since he is still pretty new to everything soon you will get the opportunity to help him more, he has to visit all the kingdoms and search for the rest of the shrines and towers, even if the only things you could do for him is teach him some things about the world it would be a great help
After some time that you started helped him you two will end up being good friends, he holds you close to his heart since you are practically his first friend since he has waken up and he is grateful for your help
If you are an adventurer then the two of you will end up traveling together even if is just for a while and he will try to learn from you all he can too. Still, after he start to continue with his adventure he invite you over to travel to the other kingdoms (he doesn't express it but it would make him really happy if you accept), but if you decline his offer he will respect your choise and will still try to keep un contact with you and pay you a visist whenever he is near the place you are
If you aren't an adventurer that will become a motivation for him to became stronger so he could take you at least on a little trip. Also, whenever he cames to pay you a visit and this time is him who teach you something new he will feel really proud of himself (and gives him more motivation to continue with his journey)
In either case (when you don't go with him) whenever he visist you he always brings a gift for you from wherever he was, it could be different materials that you could use or he know you need, or something he knows you will like (specially from the kingdom you are more interesed on)
He wants to tell you about the places he visit or all the things he does, but since he really doesn't like talking too much (or isn't too confortable with it) he gets used to taking a lot of photos with the Sheikah Slate so he could show you
Also, he will let you try and experiment with the Runes of the Sheikah Slate, specially if you two travel together being that then you two will have more oportunities to try it, but please don't point it out because he will feel embarrased for being so irresponsable (he just want to have some fun with his best friend)
Whenever he retrieve one of his memories he needs some time to process it, it could be difficult for him since he is learning about his past and even about himself, so he could hold back himself a little and even quietly searching your company since it comforts him
