why is cleo HUMAN..

When you survive a zombie apocalypse

if you cant actually write the fics in your head, drawing contextless scenes is fine too. right.

this fully has me thinking about humancleo again btw, and their original canon appearance in season six, and the things this has told us about cleo as a zombie:

she CAN be cured of being a zombie using the weakness potion and golden apple trick. that's how she cured herself then. (she did this because it seemed unfair to already be dead when she joined demise.)

the process of being cured made her dizzy and pass out and her zombie crew had to rescue her from falling in the ocean.

the SOUND was of her heartrate starting up and it POUNDS in her ears the whole time like she doesn't know what to do with it.

she kind of hates being human and finds the sensations associated with stuff like "having a heartrate" and "having to breathe" uncomfortable and frustrating.

she ALSO immediately got really really paranoid about being able to die again, and acted uncomfortable the whole time with how squishy and mortal being human made her. being alive means she's vulnerable and she DID NOT like that.

interestingly, dying as humancleo did NOT make her into zombiecleo! it instead made her into a dead humancleo (with the traditional grey demise skin even). it instead took getting carol the zombie to bite her after everyone was brought back alive after demise to turn back into a zombie. this was also a process that required some nursing back to health.

in conclusion: love humancleo. LOVE seeing her around again. will ABSOLUTELY poke at this more once the relevant thing that made me think of this again comes out,

Other facts for your leisure:

Hermits given the 'Keralis' species literally just gain the expression and nothing else

Voidbornes are an open slot, essentially. They have no visual cues aside from iridescent purple freckles (something that world chewers, voidwalkers, and Watchers have) BUT are capable of shapeshifting. Just pick absolutely anything for that, even species not on the list

World chewers also don't have many physical signs aside from the freckles- but they are an excuse to draw hermits going feral. They can spit acid that dissolves things and every dissolved thing is stored in a pocket dimension. Credit to Hermit Canyon for spawning this idea in my brain.

Gods won't have much in way of species tbh. They just look like themselves. However, I am open to giving their God titles. TFC is the God of the mines- Joe is Herobrine, the First God
