i literally NEVER have ideas for soft soukoku even though it's my favourite thing to read in bsd fics bc alas dazai and chuuya are Like That and don't know how to be normal, but like what if chuuya struggles to sleep bc of his ability? what if it's normally manageable but some big event is giving him nightmares? what if when he has these nightmares, his ability automatically goes haywire and he winds up spending a fortune on repairs for everything he keeps breaking in his room? what if after a few days of sleeplessness he's finally out of it enough to genuinely consider asking dazai for help? what if dazai agrees to use no longer human while chuuya sleeps as a JOKE bc 'awww if you're missing me you can just say so~' but dazai finds it helps with his insomnia just as much? what if chuuya waits for the humiliation he knows is going to come from dazai telling everyone about his moment of weakness, waits for dazai to make him regret it, but it never comes? what if that fragile trust between them that got destroyed when dazai left flickers back to life again in these moments when it's just them in the darkness? what if it becomes a mutual agreement, a very reluctant 'this helps both of us' that neither of them are happy about that slowly grows into something more? something they begin to like? something they perhaps even look forward to? what if-
#me looking at the state chuuya and dazai's relationship is in: sex wont cut it you two need to hold each other#hi i dont know where this idea came from but it's plaguing me and i really want to write it#yes im touch starved yes 'literal sleeping together' is one of my favourite tropes keep scrolling#bonus points if the reason chuuya got the idea to ask dazai to sleep with him was bc it's something he had to do when he was younger#when his ability was a lot more out of control but also when there was a lot more trust between him and dazai#('trust' is used in soukoku terms. to a bystander it's all very fucked up and complicated but it makes sense to them)#however now dazai's in the ada and chuuya's in the port mafia and he HATES dazai#but shit chuuya has not slept in DAYS he's practically delusional at this point and very very desperate#like have you ever gone even two days without sleeping? it makes you crazy and if the idea of dazai's ability helping him sleep#was already in chuuya's brain bc they've done it before then i GUARANTEE it would not be far-fetched for him to resort to it again#and dazai agrees purely to make fun of chuuya and exploit a weakness bc this is dazai we're talking about#and if there's one thing i love it's realistic soukoku portrayal where they actually have to work really hard from a shitty start point#but still chuuya is just fucking EXHAUSTED and he doesnt care about the teasing or backlash at this point so he calls anyway#and dazai is there#and the joke gets immediately turned on HIM bc it's the 'best sleep ive had in years' trope and dazai's like SHIT#the entp has harmed himself in his own attack#hmmmmmmmm thinking#bsd#soukoku

I need a BSD x Reader where it’s just the reader casually rizzing up everyone like no one is safe from the reader’s infinite rizz, not the ADA, not the PM, not the DOA, not the guild, and definitely not the Hunting Dogs, not even civilians; it’s literally everyone that is getting rizzed up, while the reader is aware and laughs and points at every clown they rizzed up.
THE ULTIMATE RIZZLORD.
various!BSD x reader
A/N: anon, I would like to point out how much I love you and this request right now. also, I put the reader in the port mafia for fun because why not.
Tumblr media
Absolutely speechless.
This is how everyone felt – well, whether whoever it may be, there was just one thing all could collectively agree on. They may all be feared and powerful factions that anyone could basically kneel down to, however ...
Who THE FUCK is this audacious person?
MORI was the first to witness your ass flirt with every single person you saw. But no, did you even care? Not at all. He stares, bewildered and mildly in concern as you came up to every single person you saw – completely distracted from the mission at hand as you asked women to step on you, choke you ...
He wants you throw you back from where you came from.
Oh wait, nevermind. You were now flirting with HIM. MORI is in even more shock at your confidence. Damn, pretty bold of you. But he actually thought you kinda hot fr. Elise still #1 bae tho
And somehow, you were taken up to being an executive. Everyone is morbid and utterly terrified.
How the fuck is someone like you an EXECUTIVE?? HELLO??
CHUUYA turns as red as his hair could ever be. Look man, he just wanted to complain about Dazai and you here just ..
"That fucking idiot Dazai! I'll rip him apart!"
"Yes daddy- I mean, can you do that to me too?"
"... What?"
"Ooh~ those fingers are so slender and pretty .."
"Wh-"
"Mind if I ... caress them a little, babygorl?"
"(Y/N) WHAT-"
Aww, look at that, Chuuya is deader than Odasaku <3
But God forbid you be taken on important missions against another factiom because fuck man. All you're there for is 1% fighting, 99% rizzing.
Y'know when everything was in chaos in Yokohama bcz of the Guild trying to take over? Everyone's fighting their ass off, God knows where DAZAI is but no one cares, and you?? Uh yeah already guessed it.
Tryna rizz up the agency.
Like yes, they're in trouble, everyone is, we know but fuck war we want fictional men. And women.
"Are you lingo? Because we can make a good duo 😏" - you
"... Did you just make a duolingo pickup line" - kunikida
Man times when the port mafia and the agency are in a truce, you're there back and forth flirting nonstop. Everyone is red, turned on from your oh so amazing rizzler skills
DAZAI enjoys your company obviously. Both of you create so much chaos, but even sometimes you're so much worse than him. You're the only one who can actually surprise him. Like wtf bitch stop flirting with the damn secret police?? Uh??
You make suicidal jokes, whispering them so sexily in his ear he wanna take you to the bed right there mamasita lip bite
Oh, the Decay of Angels wanna achieve world domination? They can dominate sumn else if you know what I mean
No words can express how terrified u keep making everyone THAT'S FYODOR HE'LL KILL YOU WITH A TOUCH BITCH- oh wait nvm he's melting from all of your rizz and affection.
You are literally so sweet but so confusing. SIGMA sees you around the Sky Casino just chilling and flirting with everyone you see. He don't mind cause you hot anyway
The Guild kinda ... actually, no. They're not safe. FITZGERALD? More like Rizzgerald cause this bitch 'bout to get rizzed so hard he turns poor
Yeah .. I don't take it to heart.
You'll just be up in their ass even after the Yokohama incident. Literally all of them both love and hate you. "Should we throw her off a cliff or kiss her" "Idk the second option is kinda tempting tho" "Boss, what do we d-" "Both."
DAMN LOVECRAFT AND BRAM TOO?? BITCH STOP 😭
No one can escape from your rizz. Okay one time you got kidnapped by the fuckin Hunting Dogs but you just?? Started to rizz up and call JOUNO ur bbygorl?? He is seconds from slicing your head off but he gave up at this point.
Where you got that rose from 🤨
Why the fuck is romantic music playing 😐
You asked FUKUCHI himself to choke you and slam you against the wall. Not even an ounce of regret of fear.
Everyone officially is scared of you.
ANGO isn't free from this either, bitch. You'll strut into the room all happy to talk for a mission and all but ... uhh. "So you're from the Special Division? I can't blame you then ... I feel as if I have something special going on for you."
ANGO, internally: iamnotasimp- iamnotasimp- iamnotasimp-
Sadly, he is now a simp.
The fact his face turns so red is not unnoticed by you. You laugh, clowning everyone you literally rizzed up no joke. They're so in love with ur pretty/handsome/hot ass 😔
No one is free. If you find a pretty bird, ask it's hand for marriage. There is no other way but that.
Mk but the way you literally hit on AKUTAGAWA do be funny. Bitch is so oblivious, he just thinks you're another certain blonde hair slaying bitch 😳
By the time he actually knows you're rizzing him up by being more direct about your advances, he is questioning life.
But bcz you're SOO close to DAZAI maybeee we can ...
Work sumn out, you know? heh
One day the mafia just be chilling and BOOM heree comes the wh00000re~ hello wh000re~ welcome~ 😍
(i am so sorry if this offends someone it's a meme-)
Cue everyone sighing as you come in and start your daily routine which is rizzing. You'll be caressing KOUYOU's cheek, talking to CHUUYA with that sexy ass deep voice, whispering in MORI's ear, and everytime you breathe the vine boom sound effect comes off.
Can't say they don't like it though. We all know we have some horny deviants lovestruck little cuties <3 but let's just say it's hard being here with those hoes 😔✌️
Yet most especially,
You.

(I have been agonizing over this for literally a month so I have decided to just post it how it is because I'm never going to be satisfied with it anyways.)
Port Mafia executive, former leader of The Sheep, one half of the fearsome Double Black, loyal to a fault, wants a puppy. Gotta love this dude. I'm always excited to do any meta on him because there's so much to his character. Now, much of the fanon interpretation of Chuuya differs from my perception of canon, so if you're a bit surprised by any of the rankings, read on to find out why!
Please do keep in mind: a lot of the info we have for Chuuya does not come from the main manga but from his backstory novels Fifteen and Stormbringer. While these two books have made him an incredibly fleshed-out character, we don't have much info on him at 22 years old except in brief scenes in the manga, omake, and official non-canon content like wan, mayoi and some character q&as. The good thing is that HEXACO traits tend to be relatively consistent over time (and Chuuya himself doesn't seem to have changed too much) so I don't think this will be a major issue.
Here's how I'm doing my analyses and extra HEXACO info: I Like to Write Things — Ok so since I have one note on this, that was... (tumblr.com)
*Note: I tend to be reluctant to give extreme scores unless I really can't find much opposing evidence. As such, most of my scores tend to be 2s, 3s, or 4s.
**Note: Since these are scores that require me to pick a clear ranking, it's difficult to be quite as nuanced in my discussions as I prefer to be. These are intended to be general trends and there will likely always be exceptions - if you don't agree, that's fine, and it's probably just due to differences in subjective interpretation. However, if I've referenced something incorrectly, feel free to notify me; just be polite please!
***Final note: This is a long post! I go through 24 subtraits! You have been warned!
Explanations under the cut:
---
Honesty-Humility (H)
Subtrait 1: Sincerity - A tendency to be genuine in interpersonal relations.
1 = Manipulative and rarely honest.
5 = Honest to a fault and almost never lies.
While Chuuya is capable of trickery, he doesn't do this very often - he's generally a very honest person who says what he means and doesn't beat around the bush. He faces his problems head on, and due to his immensely strong ability, he's likely never needed to do otherwise. Any lies he engages in are from my recollection either someone else's idea (Dazai, Mori) or to buy time (in Stormbringer). Even then, he doesn't really keep up an act for long - think of the confrontation with the ADA in the Guild arc where he pretty much outright states what the Mafia's game is. He's entirely nonchalant about it. He's not the kind of guy you send for subterfuge or deception.
Moreover, I cannot think of a time he used lies to get what he, personally, wanted. He's a very straightforward person. He has a sort of "I am who I am" kind of mentality and this shows in his words and actions.
Having said that, there are certain times he seems to blindside himself - as an example, the nature of his complicated dynamic with Dazai. While his irritation with him and negative feelings are genuine in part, there's a lot more nuance to it than that - worry, trust, begrudging understanding, unfortunate and unwilling recognition of self through the other, etc., but he boils it down to "hate". So, Chuuya does occasionally appear to tell himself convenient partial truths to avoid digging into things that make him uncomfortable. However, this honesty scale is about interpersonal honesty, and these instances are rare to my recollection, so he gets a very high score here.
Score = 5
Subtrait 2: Fairness - A tendency to avoid fraud and corruption for personal gain.
1 = Willing to cheat and steal to get what they want.
5 = Unwilling to take advantage of others.
This is tricky... he's in the mafia which is kind of all about this sort of thing, and he performs his job very well. Even so, Chuuya actually seems to have a pretty ingrained sense of fairness, to the point where I don't think it's really a conscious thing. He advances through the ranks of the mafia rapidly by... doing his job properly. He trades honesty for honesty, answers for answers, even in the middle of a fight - see his interactions with Rimbaud for more of what I mean. He repays people's favours and has a strong sense of loyalty and responsibility. Brushing off an ally's death as a means to get ahead is repulsive to him (DHC Dead Apple prologue). He outright tells a GSS soldier in Fifteen what's going to happen to him if he shoots at Chuuya. He does what he says he will, for the most part (unless this has to do with retribution, in which sometimes, rarely, exceptions will be made... I'll bring this up again later). Again, this is probably not mere kindness but also a result of his powerful ability meaning he's never really needed to rely on unscrupulous methods. Nonetheless, for what we see of him, I can't think of a time where he screws others over outside of orders from Mori - much less for his own benefit.
(A case could be made for a drop to 4 if you include his willingness to engage in mafia activities at all. I, personally, wouldn't since being a part of an illegal organization is literally all he's ever known from age 7 onwards. That's not really a character choice imo and more to do with the context he was raised in that became his "normal".)
Score = 5
Subtrait 3: Greed Avoidance - A tendency to be uninterested in possessing lavish wealth, luxury goods and signs of status.
1 = Want to enjoy and display wealth and status.
5 = Hardly driven by material gain.
Again, kind of tricky. Chuuya's introduced in quite possibly one of the most ostentatious outfits of the series (definitely up until that point, at least). He has his expensive wine collection and I think it is implied he has some expensive tastes. I think of that bit in Wan where he says he'll drop any money if he likes the thing he's looking to buy enough. Thing is... we get a little bit in Stormbringer where Chuuya's place is near totally empty; devoid of signs of having been "lived in" and tells us that money and status don't mean much to him. Mind you, this was when he was 16 and things likely changed since then; he's no longer only driven by his goal of finding info on himself and has acclimated to his new home in a sense. Truthfully, though, we don't know all that much about 22-year-old Chuuya. From my interpretation, I think his enjoyment of fancy things like wine and nice clothes is less a drive or motive to acquire any of these things, and more that he gets them as a bonus. He grew up on the streets. He has money now; he might as well use it to get himself something nice. Honestly, I swayed back and forth on this subtrait the most... but eventually settled on a score of 2 (that wine collection is... pretty damn expensive). I think he likes to treat himself. (I am now thinking of Chuuya's excitement over his new pillow in Wan...)
(I'd actually say Chuuya's focus on his appearance has a lot more to do with the image he hopes to give off to others than any true interest in material gain, but more on that later.)
Score: 2
Subtrait 4: Modesty - A tendency to be modest and unassuming (note that this has nothing to do with self-confidence!).
1 = Consider themselves superior and entitled to special treatment.
5 = Consider themselves ordinary people with no claim to special treatment.
Ohhhkay, this is a really weird one. Chuuya is so not modest. He knows damn well how powerful he is and is not afraid to flaunt his ability and martial arts prowess. He's cocky, arrogant and completely self-assured in a fight. However... he also has this weird humility where everything he does is in service to his people. He doesn't ask for special treatment, in fact, it may even make him uncomfortable, at least in Fifteen (dislike of being called "king") and Stormbringer (balking at Adam's "Chuuya-sama" addressal and trying to get him to change it). He goes by first name basis with most everyone and while he expects respect from his subordinates, he's not above spending time with them and doesn't treat people as beneath him unless they're his enemies. From Stormbringer, we know that Chuuya being so much more powerful actually isolates and upsets him. He also rarely takes a lot of credit for things; I think about his reaction in the ending scene in Dead Apple where he brushes off praise from his boss for fighting the dragon, saying he was just doing his job. Most anything he does is brushed off in a similar manner. It's just what he does; it's his duty - what he thinks he should do for his people. See? Weird humility.
I can't rank him too low or too high on this trait - this is one subscale where Chuuya's contradictory nature starts to show, I think.
Score = 3
H Score Total = (5+5+2+3)/4 = 3.75
---
Emotionality (E)
Subtrait 1: Fearfulness - A tendency to easily experience fear.
1 = Have little fear; tend to be tough and insensitive to physical pain.
5 = Strongly inclined to feel fear and avoid physical harm.
There's not much to say about this. This guy goes through so much pain; gets thrown into buildings, shocked, stabbed and just gets back up. He jumps out of a plane to fight a dragon with zero hesitation. He feels bored in most fights and itches for a real challenge. He's near completely fearless lmao.
Score = 1
Subtrait 2: Anxiety - A tendency to worry over future outcomes.
1 = Feel little stress in response to hardship and difficulties.
5 = Tend to become preoccupied even by minor problems.
I believe Chuuya has a rather standard level of anxiety. I just said he's pretty much fearless, which he is, but he can and does worry, else he would not show concern for others in the way that he does. I think about his clear worry for the captured Sheep members in Fifteen, or him trying to contact Dazai in Stormbringer, or the way his concern over the outcome of the Cannibalism virus led to him attacking the ADA even though he knew that's what their mutual enemy wanted. At the same time, he doesn't spend too much time fretting over things if he can help it.
Score = 3
Subtrait 3: Dependence - A tendency to require emotional support from others.
1 = Feel self-assured and able to cope without help or advice.
5 = Crave encouragement and support when sharing difficulties.
While I think Chuuya could benefit from some supportive friends who don't die on him ( :'( ), I don't think he necessarily needs a lot of emotional support. He's pretty used to toughing it out alone and he's good at it. He's very self-reliant. However, he does ask for advice on occasion (from Mori), he does like to be part of a group (though that's more about other people depending on him...) and he's genuinely touched when people do show a want to support him (the Flags, Adam). He's not too good at receiving said support though lol.
He deserves more than he gets imo, but this scale is about whether he needs it or not, and to me, the answer is very rarely. Chuuya can deal with anything, however much or long he needs to. The real question is should he have to?
Score = 2
Subtrait 4: Sentimentality - A tendency to feel strong emotional bonds with others.
1 = Feel little emotion when parting or in reaction to others' concerns.
5 = Feel strong attachment to others and have an empathic sensitivity.
Bonds with others are literally Chuuya's Reason Living. Like, he practically says as much in Stormbringer and loyalty and protectiveness are two of his core character traits. Nearly everything he does is for the people he decides are his family. And even though he tends to lose people time and time again, he still manages to care and value them in spite of it all. The only reason he does not rank a full 5 is because he's hardly empathic or sensitive, but his emotions and loyalties run deep and comprise a good chunk of his identity.
Score = 4
E Score Total = (1+3+2+4)/4 = 2.5
---
eXtraversion (X)
Subtrait 1: Social Self-Esteem - A tendency to have positive self-regard in social contexts.
1 = Tend to see self as unpopular and have a sense of worthlessness.
5 = Consider themselves to have likeable qualities and are satisfied with who they are.
Hm. I wonder about this one. We've already established that Chuuya is very confident but that's mostly in a fight or when asserting his strength. When it comes to social interactions outside of this context, it's clear that he gets very easily self-conscious. Think of Ranpo calling him "fancy-hat" - he reaches up to touch his hat like he's unsure if it's a compliment or an insult. There's Dazai's commenting on his shoes, first happy and then extremely irritated when the other... shoe drops (I'm sorry). Comments on his clothes, stature and anything to do with his history (the latter especially when he was younger) make him defensive and prone to bursts of irritation - he's very confident up until someone says something that makes him self-conscious. This probably has a lot to do with his former insecurities about his inhumanity; while he knows now that he is human, that feeling of otherness isn't just going to go away. Of particular note is Chuuya's dress sense - I made a note of this earlier that it seems he dresses to give off a particular image, namely, his membership to a group and status as their ultimate weapon (he both blends in and strikingly stands out). I'm not the only one who's noticed how he has a lot of outfit changes throughout the series, and how they seem to match whichever group he's a part of at the time - so, to insult the way he dresses seems to be taken as a personal jab to the image he's built up, an image that keeps him secure in his membership with his people (membership we know Chuuya desires from Stormbringer). If simple poking at the surface level of his self-image is enough for him to get so defensive, that doesn't really bode well for his social self-esteem as a whole.
At the same time, Chuuya does possess a lot of self-confidence and a certain level of self-respect. His reaction to Kenji thinking he's cool is definitely unabashed pride. He likely knows and enjoys his respected reputation in the mafia - but again, this is towards his ability and prowess, not necessarily his person. He responds to care for his person often with confusion and, again, defensiveness. I feel like he's about average in social self-esteem honestly, as his reactions tend to be quite polarized. It really depends on the context and what's being judged.
Score = 3
Subtrait 2: Social Boldness - A tendency to be comfortable/confident in social situations.
1 = Tend to feel shy or awkward when speaking to others.
5 = Willing to approach strangers and speak up.
Yeah Chuuya has no issue talking to people. I wouldn't actually call him social (more on that in the next subtrait) but he's clearly anything but shy. Only reason he doesn't rank a 5 is because he approaches people much more on orders or necessity than genuine willingness.
Score = 4
Subtrait 3: Sociability - A tendency to enjoy conversation and social interaction.
1 = Generally prefer solitary activities and rarely seek out conversation.
5 = Enjoy talking, visiting and celebrating with others.
I know there's a tendency to want to pin Chuuya as being a social person from his loudness, stand-out design, and the fact that we do see him drinking with Kajii and Hirotsu outside of work but truthfully? I think there's a lot more reason to think he's not all that sociable. For one, he is extremely guarded in both Fifteen and Stormbringer which makes a lot of sense - Chuuya has always been singled out as the biggest threat in the room, which means in turn that he has no choice but to perceive most people as potential threats in turn. In Fifteen, he really only talks to people out of necessity or in a fight, but he's not hanging out - of course he isn't, none of the people in that novel treated him like a friend. In Stormbringer, it takes an age for him to relax around the Flags and even then, he's not exactly the most conversational. Okay, you might be saying, but that's him when he's younger and fresh to the idea of having friends who don't ask him for anything in return.
It's tricky, again, because we really don't have much on older Chuuya. He apparently drinks with Hirotsu and Kajii. However, we don't know if he went there with them, or whether they just all happened to be going to the same place and he started venting to them. In the scene with him, Mori and Kouyou, he brings the wine, and then... he's not even really involved in that conversation, mostly just listening (and later cursing out Dazai under his breath lol). Also, a lot of the supplemental materials - drama cds, character q&as, even in Mayoi - seem to imply that he prefers to spend his time going and doing things by himself. There's also a few interesting continuities in Mayoi (which I know is a little... sus for canon info but like I said, we really don't have much and this next point is actually fairly consistent, leading me to believe this is intended to be an actual characterization point). In a lot of his dialogue and the summaries for some of the special events, he is described as "hanging back a bit". He often seems to choose to enjoy the atmosphere instead of talk to anyone, or else he's watching for threats. He almost always seems to be tense except in two conditions: one, he knows the place and the people are safe, and two, he gets to relax and sit back without speaking much. All this seems to indicate he actually very much enjoys time alone or at least time not spent speaking to people. Even when he's at a louder location, he is far more interested in the alcohol haha.
Score = 2
Subtrait 4: Liveliness - A tendency to be enthusiastic, active and upbeat.
1 = Tend not to feel optimistic or dynamic.
5 = Usually optimists and often in high spirits.
I don't know if I'd call Chuuya an optimist, per se. I think he's actually quite jaded. However, he generally has the attitude that he can get through most things and he gets quite into the action - he loves a good fight, he likes doing stunts on his motorcycle, he feels his feelings very strongly. He's not "a ray of sunshine" hehe but he's definitely dynamic and active - I think he'd get quite bored if he had nothing to do. I'd say he's about average.
Score = 3
X Score Total = (3+4+2+3)/4 = 3
---
Agreeableness (A)
Subtrait 1: Forgivingness - A tendency to feel trust and liking towards those who previously caused harm.
1 = Tend to hold a grudge.
5 = Usually ready to trust again after being treated poorly.
Hm. Again, this is another place where Chuuya's contradictory nature seems to show. Chuuya's whole mentality is if you try to hurt him or his people, he tries to hurt you back. It's very deliberate that in Fifteen he often kills by ricocheting bullets back at the people who fired at him. It's very retributive; definitely a "get-even" mentality. He immediately goes on a revenge mission against Verlaine for the Flags' sake. He remains furious at Dazai for years (but that's a constant lmao). However, he also has this strange capacity to... stop feeling that same level of raw anger, and it seems to occur when he comes to understand said person as a human being, especially if he can relate somehow. Also, something that is outright stated in Stormbringer is that Chuuya has the unfortunate tendency to help people who have helped him, even if they wind up betraying him in the end. I don't know if I'd call any of this true forgiveness (I think it ties in more with his ingrained sense of fairness and responsibility) but at the very least, he doesn't seem to hold grudges against people he comes to know for long except Dazai, and even then, he still trusts Dazai implicitly. He doesn't give his trust easily, but by god when he does, it's hard to break. I'm not entirely convinced of this myself, but I gave him a neutral score.
Score = 3
Subtrait 2: Gentleness - A tendency to be lenient in judgements of others.
1 = Tend to be critical when evaluating others.
5 = Reluctant to openly judge others harshly.
...He openly tells opponents they're weak to their faces. He's sooo not gentle and he's only really nice to his allies (and Kenji...but he has very little choice in that matter because Kenji decided they are friends). I think he's the kind of person who's blunt, but not always to be a jerk. Actually, he's fairly attuned to giving advice to people (see: drama cds) but he sure doesn't sugar-coat it. He says what he means. There's also his manner of speaking, which is considered quite vulgar. He's saved from the lowest score because, as I said, he does offer advice and encouragement without much prompting and rarely is he a complete jerk for no reason (unless you're counting bully preschool Chuuya from Wan hahaha). He also seems to have a soft spot for animals, especially dogs. Does that count? I think that counts.
Score = 2
Subtrait 3: Flexibility - A tendency to compromise and cooperate with others.
1 = Stubborn and quick to argue.
5 = Accommodate others' suggestions, even if they may be unreasonable.
I think he's fairly amenable to other ideas actually, but it depends on their source. There's an omake where Kouyou has to call him out because he's indulging Mori and his spontaneous whims too much in their planning. He goes along with the dumb shenanigans the Flags and his subordinates get into, with some griping, but it's clear he doesn't really mind. He's a lot more resistant to Dazai, of course, but again, he will go along with most things in the end because he knows that Dazai's plans do not fail. Still, he rarely just takes other's ideas without putting up a little bit of resistance first (unless it's a direct order), and he doesn't seem to work with others except Dazai (and he does not cooperate with him in any way approaching an agreeable manner, despite being completely in sync). I put him as neutral. He seems to need to see the sense in most things or else see some benefit to others (which might just be said others' enjoyment... the rich girl scene anyone?) before he'll actually do something that wasn't his idea.
Score = 3
Subtrait 4: Patience - A tendency to remain calm rather than become angry.
1 = Tend to lose their temper quickly.
5 = Have a high threshold for expressing anger.
...Lmao. I'm so sorry, buddy. If something is annoying to Chuuya, he will react (it might not be a dramatic reaction but it still manifests as at least visible irritation). He is more than capable of repressing his anger and acting more mature and serious when the situation calls for it but... it really does not take much to rile him up, especially if said annoyance humiliates or embarrasses him in some way. That said, he can and will remain stoic in the face of people who rely on him. Saved from the lowest score by a thread.
Score = 2
A Score Total = (3+2+3+2)/4 = 2.5

Conscientiousness (C)
Subtrait 1: Organization - A tendency to seek order in surroundings.
1 = Tend to be sloppy and haphazard.
5 = Tend to keep things tidy and prefer structure.
There's not much in the series that really indicates what Chuuya is like in his own space. The closest we get is in Stormbringer, where he has very few belongings - but these are stated to be kept very neatly. He appears to spend a good deal of time making himself presentable and it makes sense that this would extend to the space around him as well. Chuuya is likely to be a pretty organized person - he's seen going over a list in an omake and planning out a schedule, and he's good at staying on task - honestly a rarity with characters in this series. While I wouldn't expect him to be quite as fastidious as, say, Kunikida, the little evidence we have seems to indicate he keeps things pretty organized.
Score = 4
Subtrait 2: Diligence - A tendency to work hard.
1 = Have little self-discipline and are not strongly achievement motivated.
5 = Have a strong work ethic and are willing to exert themselves.
Um, yeah, absolutely he's high in this trait. He considers protection of his people his duty and responsibility - it's of prime importance to him and he shoulders a lot of blame should he fail. He brushes off absurd feats such as facing off against Guivre in Stormbringer and fighting the dragon in Dead Apple with a view that can essentially be boiled down to "it's what I'm supposed to do". He clearly expects 100% from himself. He's very diligent. It's a product of his loyalty crossed with his "I can handle anything" mentality.
Score = 5
Subtrait 3: Perfectionism - A tendency to be thorough and concerned with details.
1 = Tolerate some errors and tend to neglect details.
5 = Check carefully for mistakes and improvements.
Tying in with the above, there's not a lot of conclusive examples I can point to, but as he expects full effort from himself and isn't really tolerant of his own failure, I would say this trait is high by necessity. The suits he keeps in Stormbringer are also kept spotless. I can't give a 5, because I don't think he's a perfectionist, per se, but he does rise to meet challenges and that necessitates improvement. He's the best martial artist in the Port Mafia for a reason.
Score = 4
Subtrait 4: Prudence - A tendency to deliberate carefully and inhibit impulses.
1 = Act on impulse and tend not to consider consequences.
5 = Consider options carefully and tend to be cautious/self-controlled.
...ok. So, he definitely prefers to jump into things headfirst. He solves many of his problems with actions and generally more violent ones. However - he can and does look at situations in a much more nuanced way than people give him credit for. He knows how to negotiate, for one - that's part of what Kouyou trained him on in the first place. For another, even when he does rush into a fight, the Dead Apple novelization has this brilliant passage where you see that he's incredibly observant in the midst of the action - and really, he'd have to be. Gravity manipulation is not telekinesis - there's a lot more to consider in terms of force and resistance than just "pick up/throw object". To be noted though is that much of this quick thought happens within a situation - he's adaptable in the moment but he's not really a pre-planner. His way of dealing with things kind of necessitates him jumping into a situation and working through things as they come. So, his score would still be low here, but not the lowest.
Score = 2
C Score Total = (4+5+4+2)/4 = 3.75
---
Openness (O)
Subtrait 1: Aesthetic Appreciation - A tendency to find enjoyment in beauty found in art and nature.
1 = Not overly interested in works of art or natural wonder.
5 = Have a strong appreciation for various art forms and nature.
I'll be honest, there's not a lot of instances in canon to support or refute this subtrait. We do know that he likes nice clothes and hats though, so that supports some level of aesthetic appreciation. He also is shown humming in the manga, and one of his likes on his character profile is music. In other official material, such as character interviews, he seems to enjoy going for drives to look at the sunrise or sunset from a nice view or enjoying fresh snow falling from the sky. A few of his Mayoi quotes also support this, as he seems to enjoy the ambiance of wind chimes and festivities from a distance - though in one of them he sounds a bit like a tsundere ("the hydrangeas make for an exquisite sight... I suppose") lol.
So, while there isn't a lot, I think there's decent support for a high score here. I can't really see him at an art gallery per se, but he definitely has an aesthetic sense and likely an appreciation for natural beauty as well.
Score = 4
Subtrait 2: Inquisitiveness - A tendency to seek information about and experience the world.
1 = Have little curiosity and are content with what they know.
5 = Seek out new information constantly and love new experiences.
I'm not sure there's much evidence here either. I don't think Chuuya is closed-off to learning new things, as he does teach himself new skills and seems to pick things up fairly quickly. I've already commented on how he's pretty adaptable, especially in the moment. However, I don't think he's the type to go beyond and actively seek out new knowledge that isn't directly applicable to what he needs to know. The knowledge we see Chuuya acquire throughout the series is more practical stuff, stuff he can put to use in some way (ex. martial arts skills). His worldview also remains rather limited - he has only ever known life as an important figure in a criminal organization. He has literally known nothing else. And he doesn't seem to mind this so much; I suspect because, as Stormbringer tells us, he doesn't feel particularly deserving of examining anything different. There's also the matter of his intense loyalty to his people, which means that he has little incentive to look elsewhere. At the same time, he certainly likes to experience things in a more literal sense - he tries different wines, wears different outfits, and is incredibly engaged in action. I'll give him a average score.
Score = 3
Subtrait 3: Creativity - A tendency to innovate and experiment.
1 = Tend to stick to familiar patterns and methods with little change.
5 = Actively seek new solutions to problems and tend to self-express.
Chuuya, I would say, is a lot more straightforward than he is innovative. While, as I've mentioned multiple times by now, he adapts quickly in a fight, his go-to is still... to fight. He deals with things very much head-on, and again, he's not really a pre-planner. In the moment, however, he's incredible at reading a situation and responding near instantly to new threats. As for self-expression, I'd venture to say that Chuuya's actually pretty repressed. He has a distinctive style and set of likes and dislikes, but he often seems to understate his excitement or interest in things - see the tsundere-ish comment above or really just look at how he tries to appear cooler and more put-together than he is in like... anything he shows up in. Dude is repressed, seriously. The only time we see him unabashedly enjoying himself is in high-adrenaline situations like fights - at the very least, in Fifteen, Dazai describes him as being somewhat "kid-ish" when he gets really into things. (You are one to talk, Dazai.)
I'll put him at a neutral score since I can't find too much supporting evidence either way.
Score = 3
Subtrait 4: Unconventionality - A tendency to accept the unusual.
1 = Avoid eccentric and non-conforming persons.
5 = Receptive to ideas that might seem strange or radical.
...you know, writing all this out, and as unusually powerful and contradictory as Chuuya is... he's kind of. The normal one. At least in comparison to a lot of the company he keeps. He tends to be the voice of reason or at least keeps somewhat of a level head in the drama cds which will never stop being amusing to me. Part of the reason he's good at this though is that he's really very accepting and kind of indifferent towards people's eccentricities, especially if he's known them for a while. He barely bats an eye at Kajii's maniacal experimentation, accommodates Mori's weirdness without so much as a reaction, and while he finds Adam incredibly strange (valid lmao) he seems to start to enjoy that after a time. He seems pretty willing to accept just about anyone's quirks the more he spends time around them and gets used to them.
When around Dazai in particular, he reveals himself to... also be very, very strange. The comparatively "normal guy" is quickly replaced with someone just as incredibly unhinged as Dazai himself. Argue however you like whether they make each other better or worse but they certainly do make each other weirder.
I wonder if being surrounded by so many odd people makes him feel slightly less odd by comparison. Something to consider.
At the same time, he's a little too grounded and practical to be given a full score of 5, so a 4 he is.
Score = 4
O Score Total = (4+3+3+4)/4 = 3.5
So, there you have it! Phew, this took a while. I hope you enjoyed it!
I'm working on another analysis for Mori (BSD) and for Seam (Deltarune). If anyone has any other characters they'd like to request, feel free to drop me an ask! I write at a snail's pace but it does eventually get done!

Summary of the BSD Stage Dead Apple Synopsis
Tumblr media
Under the cut for Spoilers!
▼Beginning
The play starts with Atsushi looking for Dazai (as tasked by Kunikida to attend the ADA mtg) Differing from the movie, he doesn't find him.
Atsushi meets Shibusawa on the street instead when Shibusawa saved an elderly crossing the street, making him think that Shibusawa is a kind person.
Atsushi thinks that they have met somewhere before but can't remember it exactly.
Kyouka then meets Atsushi about the Ability Users Suicide Case.
▼Akutagawa pursues Shibusawa
Chuuya and Akutagawa are talking on the phone. Akutagawa is tasked to pursue Shibusawa as the perpetrator of the Dragon Head Conflict.
However, Akutagawa was physically attacked by Dazai from behind - he snapped Aku’s neck, then stepped on him - causing him to lose consciousness (though he recognizes Dazai before passing out).
Dazai then comes with Shibusawa.
▼Chuuya and Akutagawa scene
The day when Dazai took Akutagawa to the Port Mafia is shown. Akutagawa wakes up from the dream and remembers Dazai attacked him.
An Ability user suddenly comes out of nowhere. Akutagawa fights him and realizes that he can't use Rashomon.
Chuuya comes to save him. Apparently, it's an Ability that got separated from its user.
Chuuya then explains Shibusawa's Ability and says that the mist engulfing Yokohama is actually the breath of a dragon.
Akutagawa then asks why Chuuya's Ability doesn't separate from him.
Chuuya answers that his Ability is quite special and isn't something small that can be taken easily by this fog. And if his Ability happens to separate from him, it will be the end of Yokohama.
Chuuya gives Akutagawa a new mission - to kill Dazai, because he's the one who took Shibusawa to Yokohama.
Akutagawa laughs, saying that he doesn't believe that because the Dazai now wants peace in Yokohama.
Chuuya laughs at him. He says that he's known Dazai for 7 years and were once partners so he knows Dazai - he knows that no one can tell what Dazai is thinking. There's a monster inside Dazai that no one can understand.
Aku claims that he can understand Dazai so Chuuya asks him why Dazai left the Mafia, but Aku couldn't answer. Chuuya says that he doesn't care if Aku looks up to Dazai but as for him, he's never looked up to Dazai even once. He then tells him to his face that Aku going all "Dazai-san, Dazai-san" and accepting everything he says - is probably the reason why Dazai doesn't approve of him.
Aku gets mad and attacks him to no avail. Chuuya taunts him further saying that if he doesn't do something about this mist, he'll remain weak.
Rashomon appears in the background. Chuuya says that Rashomon is just looking at him and not attacking him as if putting Aku to a test.
Chuuya says that without his Ability, Aku can never land a single punch at him.
Aku accepts the mission and says that he will beat Chuuya right after.

▼White Trio at Mukurotoride
Dazai walks to the center. There's a voice-over of Oda when he told Dazai that the good or bad side doesn't make much difference to him.
Shibusawa arrives.
Dazai says he's happy working with him.
Fyodor arrives saying that Shibusawa shouldn't believe Dazai. (Fyodor does a mini violin performance, talk about grand entrance lol)
It seems that Dazai didn't know beforehand that Fyodor is part of the plan.
Fyodor says that he's just a rat on the side that will help a bit.
Dazai realizes that Fyodor's role is to keep him in check.
Shibusawa says that he can actually accomplish all his plans on his own without them, but it would be boring.
Dazai agrees that it indeed wouldn't be boring because no one knows who will betray who.
Tumblr media
▼Atsushi, Aku, Kyouka in the Mafia passage
Atsushi argues with Aku on the way, saying things that it's his fault that Kyouka suffered in the Mafia. He told them that he should never come close to Kyouka ever and talk as if he knows her.
Aku then retorts back asking Atsushi what he actually knows about Kyouka.
Atsushi says that he knows a lot stating things like Kyouka likes tofu and bunnies, and hates lightning.
Aku asks him about her past but Atsushi wasn't able to answer. Aku narrates that Kyouka's parents were killed by Demon Snow and she was picked up by the Mafia, and was then trained by a Port Mafia Executive known as the best Assassin in the world (in reference to Verlaine).
Aku then adds that he also knows that Kyouka hates flies and dogs, and likes ghosts and hydrangeas. He knows more about Kyouka so it's his win.
Unable to come up with other things about Kyouka, Atsushi resorts to bickering.
Atsushi: You're a sore loser!
Aku: Orphanage castaway!
Sushi, visibly hurt from Aku's comeback: You don't change clothes!
Aku, visibly hurt from Sushi's comeback:  I wash it every time!
Sushi: Huh? Do you also wear that when sleeping?
Aku: I'm gonna kill you!
They were then stopped by Kyouka.
Before they go out of the passageway, Kyouka attempts to check if her phone can connect somewhere.
Aku gently stops her telling her that that phone is the one used to control her Ability and would be bad if it connects.
Kyouka says that there's nothing to worry about because there's no signal.
Kyouka asks him if Aku tried the Mafia's communication device and Aku says that it can't connect too.
(Note: When Aku talks to Kyouka his voice is calm and softer than usual)
Atsushi, feeling out of place, silently watches them from the side. "You two, you actually get along well, huh..."
Tumblr media
▼Demon Snow Battle
The trio go back outside the streets and comes to face Demon Snow. They ran back to the Mafia passageway but Demon Snow just follows them and slices the door. Byakko then also appears.
Kyouka's phone rings. When she answers it, the scene flashbacks to the time when her parents died (same scene with the manga) with her mom explaining what truly happened, and then advises Kyouka how to control Demon Snow.
They were able to beat Demon Snow after and the Ability goes back to Kyouka.
▼More Aku, Atsushi, and Kyouka
Aku, Atsushi, and Kyouka continue to walk in the mist-covered street. Atsushi suggests to Kyouka that they should hold hands so they don't get separated. Kyouka agreed and held out her hand, but then asked Atsushi about Aku.
Sushi: Eh?
Kyouka:
Sushi: Eh?
Kyouka: Should I hold his hand?
Sushi: No way!
Kyouka: Then you should hold his hand
Sushi: Ehhhh, t-there's no way I would... i-it's Akutagawa...
Kyouka:
Sushi: Aahh, there are no other hands in here so fine!
Atsushi settles to offer the dangling part of his belt for Aku to hold on to (lol he's pointing his ass in the process because the belt is on his back like a tail). Aku reaches for it, but was taken away by Rashomon before Atsushi and Kyouka can see him
▼Aku vs Rashomon Battle
Aku uses his gun to fight against Rashomon. Just when he thought he won, he is then caught and pierced by Rashomon. At first Aku thought that Rashomon is fighting him to test if he's worth it as Rashomon's "owner", but then realized that Rashomon is actually filled with wrath - Aku's wrath towards his weak self.
Scenes flashback to Chuuya telling Aku why Dazai doesn't approve of him, of Atsushi telling him that he lost against him and is still not recognized by Dazai, and of Dazai telling him that his new subordinate is better and he doesn't need Aku.
Aku makes Rashomon remember all these, of what they went through, of what they are mad about, of what they both desire. If Aku doesn't beat Rashomon then he will be a part of Shibusawa's collection and will never get what they desire.
Before Rashomon ends Aku, he sets the bomb off and beats him eventually.
Aku returns to Atsushi and Kyouka thereafter, and Atsushi was surprised to see him covered in bruises.
▼White Trio Betrayal Scene
Fyodor sees Dazai suspiciously trying to enter the Draconia room. They went inside after Fyodor tells him that Shibusawa is not there. Dazai reveals his motives to Fyodor, and Fyodor hands him the crystals. Before Dazai can touch them Shibusawa stabs him from behind. Dazai dies. (scenes are almost the same as the movie)
After Dazai dies, Shibusawa also kills Fyodor, grabbing him on the top of his head, lifting him up, and then breaking his neck.
Shibusawa laughs (like a villain) saying that his plans succeeded.
▼More Aku, Atsushi, and Kyouka
Aku, Atsushi, and Kyouka are riding an elevator, standing side by side. Because the ride is taking quite long, Atsushi tries to make small talk to relieve the awkward atmosphere.
Sushi: Your Ability has returned to you, right? How does it feel?
Aku: None of your business.
*silence*
Sushi: Looking from this angle, your nose looks nice. (literally "you have a high-bridged nose" used as a compliment in Jp)
*silence*
Sushi: Aahh, with this three the talk is going nowhere..
Kyouka: *tries to narrate Momotaro (a popular Jp folklore)*
Sushi: Ah, I'm sorry Kyouka-chan, I didn't mean to force you
▼Chuuya at the Special Ability Dept
Chuuya arrives at the Special Ability Department Office. He is stopped by the guards but Chuuya beats them all (fight scenes were shown).
Chuuya arrives at the main office, but Ango is only showing up in the scene via a video screen. Tsujimura is in the office btw.
Chuuya and Ango talk about the government's involvement with Shibusawa (same with the movie).
Chuuya threatens Ango that he will kill the people in the office if Ango doesn't tell him about the case of Shibusawa now.
▼White Trio
Shibusawa takes Dazai's Ability crystal, but realizes that it is not the one he's been looking for.
Fyodor suddenly appears from his back, shooting Shibusawa with a gun.
Apparently, the one Shibusawa killed earlier was not Fyodor himself, but his separated Ability.
Fyodor then kills Shibusawa with a knife, making him remember his death (same with the movie).
▼Dragon Appears
Fyodor does his poetry speech about the dragon lol
The dragon appears as animation in the background.
Deadly Drive plays as bg music after!
Ango asks Chuuya to fight the dragon, believing that only his Ability can do it just as when they fought Guivre in the past.
Chuuya complains that the government just always does nothing but order people around while not getting their hands dirty.
He accepts the mission and asks Ango's life in return.
▼Chuuya vs Dragon
Plane scene with Tsujimura is almost the same as the movie. Chuuya throws his gloves and activates Corruption.
This scene involves his actor Uechan flying in a harness, where he did flips a few times. On his background is an animation of the levitated rubbles and the building he used to throw at the dragon.
Bless Uechan's throat for all the screaming
Tumblr media
▼Soukoku scene
Chuuya shouts Dazai's name, and punches him waking him up. Dazai touches his cheek to deactivate Corruption. (Same lines with the movie, yes Dazai is still Snow White)
Chuuya asks him to let go but Dazai refuses saying that the place they are in is where the mist is the most concentrated and Arahabaki will end up separating from him.
Tumblr media
▼Atsushi reflection with Byakko
Atsushi realizes that the orphanage director must have known that he killed Shibusawa, but wondered why he never told him.
The orphanage director appears at the end saying that he hid the truth from Atsushi because he thought Atsushi wouldn't be able to accept it and would be crushed (mentally) once he knew about himself.
▼Aftermath
Bokura plays in the bg
Aku leaves
Dazai arrives saying that Atsushi was saved because of them
Atsushi butts in saying that Dazai was the one who did
(same lines with the movie)
After Atsushi says the "more beautiful" line, Oda's voice-over plays when he told Dazai to go to the side that saves people because that's a little bit more beautiful.
▼Aftermath Chuuya
Ango calls Chuuya saying that the battle is finished thanks to them, and now he's ready to give his life in return.
Chuuya just laughs at him saying that his life isn't enough to pay for this. He also tells him that he understands that Ango was just a small fry in the government six years ago so wasn't able to do anything about the Shibusawa case. Ango thanks him but still tries to insist but Chuuya hangs up.
Tumblr media
Akutagawa shows up, but he doesn't bow at Chuuya (unlike in the movie) and just continues walking after Chuuya told him that Dazai is alive. Chuuya calls him to lend his shoulder because he can't move and gestures him to come closer.
Aku does and Chuuya laughs at how unwilling he looks and asks if Aku is still mad that Chuuya called him weak. Aku says that he's not bothered at all.
Chuuya tells him that he shouldn't worry because they're both included in Dazai's plans, which means that Dazai thinks that they are essential in beating Shibusawa.
Aku remains silent. Chuuya then tells him that as Dazai's ex-partner, he's gonna say it - that Dazai approves of Aku. At the very least, Chuuya does approve of him too.
Aku just says that he's nothing compared to Chuuya.
Tumblr media
▼Days after
Atsushi and Kyouka are back at the Agency, where they wave off to everyone as they go on a new mission.
Voice-overs of the ADA stage play cast were played sending them off.
Tanizaki: Take care!
Naomi: Stay safe!
Kunikida: Don't forget your report after.
Ranpo: Get me sweets on your way home!
Yosano: If possible, go back here with injuries, okay?
Kenji: Let's eat some gyudon later!
Fukuzawa: Atsushi, Kyouka, take care and come back safely.
▼Closing
Chuuya talks to Mori on the phone, reporting that the mission has been accomplished.
However, he gets instructed to do the send-off or the farewell greeting to the fans on the stage.
Chuuya, angrily to the audience: What are you looking at, huh?
Send-off? *takes a sit elegantly and stares at the crowd*
Ugh, okay,, *stands up*
Be careful not to be engulfed by the mist when you go home, okay? See ya.

Heyy I love your blog sm!! I was wondering if it would be possible for you to do Dazai scenario where he and reader are reminiscing about the old port mafia days (reader left the pm a little after he did and joined the ada with him) thank you so much!!
WARNING: This piece contains mentions of attempted suicide- read at your own risk.
Tumblr media
The stars shined high above, reflecting in once dull eyes- eyes that had gained a new light in the last few years. A shiver wracked your body but you remained where you laid, soaked to the bone beside the river, staring up at the stars that continued to twinkle peacefully as if they hadn’t just witnessed you diving after your closest friend. No words had been spoken since you had fished the man out of the river, having simply pulled him to shore before laying beside him, chest heaving. You could have sworn you caught a pained look on his face, as you had made eye contact under the water, only for it to turn into his usual annoyed expression whenever someone got in the way of his suicide attempts. “
“Remember the day we met?” Dazai’s voice cut through the silence like a hot knife through butter. Had you not been desensitised years ago, you would have jumped. “Of course I do… You were sent to kill me on my fifteenth birthday.”
~
His breath tickled your neck as he brushed his nose over your soft skin, both your chests heaving and heads spinning. Pushing him off of you, you rolled over to find your place above him. “You’re good… but you need a little more practice…” you chuckled, taking the gun he had hidden in his coat, removing the clip and unloading the chamber, throwing the ammunition to one side and the gun to another. “But hey… I’m more than happy to teach you~” You didn’t miss the smirk that grew on his face before you had clashed again.
~
“You never got very far though. Days later, I was being assigned as your new subordinate. To this day, I have no idea how you managed to convince Mori to recruit me, considering he wanted me dead.”
Dazai only laughed and once again, a silence fell between the two of you, though it didn’t last very long this time. “What about the first time we sparred?” You recalled, earning another soft laugh from your companion. “I kicked your ass,” you continued, though the tone in your voice said otherwise. He had won more than the match that night.
~
The fight when the two of you met had nothing on this one. Every strike of his fists meant business, every kick and quick movement done with precision. Dazai knew what he was doing. So did you, but he had more practice and he was naturally stronger. “You’re slowing down,” he taunted you, hardly out of breath while you were struggling to keep up. Had he just been toying with you before? Did he know what was going to happen? Ducking as he hooked his fist in from the right, you were unfortunately met by his prepared knee, being sent back and onto your ass. Your nose throbbed and it had sent a shock of pain through your skull, behind your eyes and had you gasping for a breath.
Blood dribbled down from your nose, but you wiped it with the back of your hand, smearing it on your skin as you went to stand back up. He stopped you however, hand on your shoulder, forcing you back down. “Stay down. Had this been a real fight, you’d be dead now. So stay down.” You hated that smirk on his face, the way he clearly indicated that he knew he was better than you. He knelt in front of you, grasping your chin roughly and forcing you to look up at him. “Don’t worry, I’d be more than happy to teach you~” He mocked you, his smirk never leaving as he crashed his lips against yours, all teeth and tongue before he backed off by standing up once more, wiping your blood off his face.
~
“You got better. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone improve so quickly. You were determined to return the favour.” He was right. It wasn’t long at all until you were looking at your first promotion. Then your second, and soon, you were working directly under the executive. Those days, Dazai was a lot more focused on a new recruit, Akutagawa. The poor boy, he was treated absolutely ruthlessly. You couldn’t help but have lost a lot of respect for Dazai at the time. Pulling some poor, helpless child into the cruel world of the mafia. It was a dog eat dog world out there though, who knows what would have happened to the kid had he not been taken under Dazai’s wing.
“I’ve recently found out that Chuuya is still trying to find that bottle of wine we hid. You’d think he would have found it after all this time.” You turned your head to finally look at the man for the first time since pulling him from the water, but his eyes never left the sky. “You’re kidding me right?” You laughed. “Surely someone would have found it by now.”
~
Soft snickers and hisses were heard as the two of you tried to silence each other’s drunken giggles. “We’re going to get caught,” you spoke through your giggles, which increased when he pulled a face at you, offended by the mere mention of him getting caught. “Please, the chibi is off kissing someone’s ass right now,” Dazai scoffed, opening the heavy door that lead into one of the many offices of the massive building owned by the mafia. “Holy crap… Why the hell is Chuuya’s office bigger than mine? He’s not even an executive yet,” you grumbled, looking around the room, eyes landing on a wine fridge. “Found the stash.”
Rushing over to the fridge, you pulled it open and began looking through the bottles, reading the labels and cringing at the sight of some. “How about this one?” you suggested, holding up one of the bottles for Dazai to look at. Having been hovering over you, he took the bottle quickly and hazily read over it, shrugging his shoulders. “It’ll do. What’s that one on the bottom?” he asked, gesturing to the bottle at the very bottom of the fridge. Picking it up, you read over the label and scoffed. “Wow- like, one of the finest wines you can get your hands on. Apparently. I think this type sucks to be frank,” you explained, going to put it back, only for the man to snatch it out of your hands. “You’re probably right, buuuuutttt, if it’s so amazing, surely our dear chibi will be enraged to find it missing,” he grinned. You stared at him, brow raised as you shut the wine fridge, before looking past him, up to the air vent that was right above the oak desk. “Up there.”
~
“I mean, who doesn’t check the air vents? Everyone hides the best things in their air vent.” You let out a heavy sigh, staring back up at the stars before listening to him as he rustled around. After a couple of seconds, he was hovering over you and for a split second, you saw the old him, the weird teenager who made out with you at any given moment before teasing you or pushing you around. You never figured out what was going on between the two of you and as you reached up, gently stroking his cheek with your cold hand, you didn’t deem it important at that moment. Regardless of the answer, he was yours. “Let’s go home.”

Claim (Yandere Chuuya Nakahara)
Pairing: Yandere! Chuuya Nakahara X Fem reader
Summary: You have the courage to mock Dazai when he flirts with you casually, different from almost every other woman Dazai throws himself on. Seeing his nemesis being stepped on brings Chuuya great joy, which escalates to him taking a special interest in you.
Notes: So...If you read my BNHA fics you should know I have a thing for wind superpowers, so reader is going to have a wind ability in here as well. Be gone if you have problems with that. My first take on BSD, on Chuuya nevertheless... Hopefully this does not flop. I thought about writing Kunikida for this one, but I just could not get Chuuya’s smirk off my mind (Along with Fyodor’s but that is for another day) Also this is self indulgent as hell, so be warned. I’m not satifised with the final result, as some parts feels a bit forced...But there you have it.
Word count: 2.8k
Warnings: Drugging, coercion, mention of knife and blood, implied non con  at the end

You were sitting beside a floor window of a café when Chuuya first saw you, when he was on his way to get some beer. At first, it was not you that drawn his attention, it was that guy on the opposite end of the coffee table.
Osamu Dazai. Also known as the bane of Chuuya Nakahara’s existence and his greatest adversary. Out womanizing again, he never changes. He was about to ignore those shady behaviours and just carry on, until he hears how you are attacking Dazai with your words.
“Dazai, please. I bet you said that to every woman you met.” Slowly stirring your hot beverage, you smirk as you took a little sip. “It is a miracle how you got this far unscathed.” You seem to see right through Dazai, how clever. Now Chuuya have to hear how this can go down. His own drink can wait, this little comedy show is more worthwhile.
“But beautiful! Your eyes shine like the brightest stars, I just cannot let that go unappreciated.” “If you are so found of shining things, I can get you a pack of glitter to stare at. I would actually appreciate it if you stop staring right into my eyes, thank you.” This is a mistake, you thought. You thought Dazai was just being a good Senpai when he invites you to join him for a quick coffee at lunch. And of course being the naïve new recruit, you said yes without hesitation.
A pack of glitter? Oh dear. Out of all those years Chuuya has known Dazai, he had never seen the brunette getting such a good roast. Placing a hand over his mouth to muffle his chuckles, Chuuya is beyond amused. Most women would be too busy swooning over that pretty face, but you did not even flinch and insulted him just like that. You got some sass!  That is the first time the mafia executive had taken a formal notice of you. You are indeed a fair woman, no wonder Dazai would choose to hit on you.
He does vaguely recall recently hearing about the ADA obtaining a new recruit. A young woman with a wind ability. But you are far more interesting then that. “This has been pleasant, but I think it is time to head back to the office.” When Kunikida told you Dazai can be a handful yesterday, you did not expect this is how you would find out. You stopped him from taking out his wallet, shaking your head: “Dazai. I will pay for myself. Besides, you are in enough debt as you are now. See you back at the agency.”
Not even Chuuya can make Dazai appear this defeated, this discouraged. Just who are you exactly? Forget the beer, Chuuya needs to know all about you at once.
Reading through your file back at the headquarters, your info is enough to make even Chuuya raise his eyebrows a couple of times.
You can command any gas to your will? That is a rare gift, even the Port Mafia had yet to secure that. Too bad you are on the wrong side, Chuuya can just think of so many ways of using your ability to its full potential. The file was put back to the storage, sure. But you had impressed him back at that café and peaked his interests. It would be hard to make him unsee Dazai being humiliated. But you did not linger on his mind much after.
However, that would not be lasting too long. Chuuya was shocked to hear some of the members has died in dark alleys of yokohoma, apparently from lack of oxygen, but without any traces of choking or even a cut. Mori even called him to the office to discuss about this.
Pictures of you, in causal and business attire lay across the expensive office desk. You were smiling in all of them, although that smile does not look like an amused one to Chuuya now.
“Do you recognize this woman?”
How can Chuuya forget about you? The woman who gave him the best comedy show, who stomped on Dazai’s philanderer ways so mercilessly. “A new recruit of ADA. Her air control abilities must have enabled her to suck the oxygen particles out of human bodies. It also gives her the ability to levitate and an incredible speed, which is such a headache. Even Akutagawa cannot seem to finish her.”
What a little troublemaker you are. Consider Chuuya motivated. He knows you are strong, but not anyone can escape from Akutagawa. Where is the fun without a little challenge?
“I will go. My abilities would allow me to get the job done.” Heck, this once he would get something Dazai cannot have! In this mini game, at least, Chuuya would be the winner.
“Chuuya, you seem awfully enthusiastic about this. May I ask why that is?” Stroking Elise’s hair, Mori carefully observe the young man’s expressions. “She has the guts to insult Dazai, should be a fun one. I do not plan to kill her, however. That would be such a waste.”
“Yes, that would be most ideal. Her ability would be a valueble asset, here’s some drugs if she is being too difficult.”
Oh but you are so much more then the wielder of a powerful ability to Chuuya.
------------------------------------
Work has been a pain in the ass lately, so on your afternoon off, you choose to take a walk along the water in the park. Everything looks so peaceful, children running amok, couples holding hands, the sound of the birds chirping, all sounds so natural and calming. You let out a sigh of relief as you settled on a bench beside a tree and closed your eyes, breathing in the forest scent, still sleep deprived from the nightmares.
Although you only killed those gangsters to defend a civilian, you regret it somewhat afterwards. You expected revenge, but not from someone like Akutagawa? You can only remove the target’s oxygen from their bodies when you are standing still and concentrated, never while fleeing for your life. If it is not for your unparalleled speed, you were sure one of those dark spikes is going to be your ultimate demise. It was too close for your liking. Before you were always able to leave safely with your ability, but this time you barely made it.
Dozing off in a park while the Port Mafia is on your trail? Chuuya would advise against that.
However, he would say he much prefer this compliant, soft look on your face compare your sarcastic, confident grin towards Dazai. Dark circles under your eyes? Have you been having sleeping problems? Looks like the little hero is not as brave as she lets on.
Now, he needs to be careful. Even though you look as harmless as a little bunny now, Chuuya can still recall the last expressions his deceased subordinates made. Dying from oxygen loss surely does not look pleasant. While the file said you can only use that special method once per week, Chuuya cannot leave any room for errors.
Ah, it seems you had carelessly dropped your handkerchief on the ground. You did not seem to notice. As if you want him to come near. Who is he to decline a lady’s invitations?
Sensing his approach, you jumped out the bench and distanced yourself from Chuuya. Always on your guard, this should be interesting. Instead of kept closing in the distance, Chuuya bend down and picked up your handkerchief. “Did you drop this?”
See, you were overreacting! He is only trying to tell you that you dropped something. Feeling the guilt of mistaking him for an assassin churns in your stomach, you put up an apologetic smile: “My apologies, sir.  And thank you very much.” Yet you cannot shake off the feeling of you saw him before. Is he a government official? Or perhaps a store clerk? It would be rude if you actually do know him. Yes, you definitely seen his handsome face somewhere. Reaching out to his outstretched hand, you tried to retrieve your handkerchief. But as you take the little square cloth into your hand, his slim but firm fingers snapped around your wrist like handcuffs, seizing you with a smug smirk on his face. “Let go of me, Sir. You wouldn’t want me to use my ability on you.”
Your gaze turned cold as the winter snow, as if you are willing to punch him in the face then and there.
A good chance to observe your ability in action. How can Chuuya miss this opportunity? You tried to wiggle out of his grasp while activating your winds, but to your horror, it does not seem to have any effect on Chuuya. Sure, his hat and hair are flowing because of the strong wind, but he has not moved a single inch, still clenching your left wrist in his hand, lips still curling upwards. Turning to your second solution: bringing rocks to hit him until unconsciousness. Why wouldn’t the rocks move? Just who is this man? “Are you with the Port Mafia?”
That took you long enough. Chuuya let out a sinister chuckle, pulls you into his embrace with ease. Locking his right arm around your waist, he whispers beside your ear: “Of course, cutie. And you just walked straight into my trap. Now, it is best if you do not move, I would hate for this knife to leave a scar on your fragile little neck.” Feeling a thin, cold blade pressed against your throat, threatening to cut into your skin, you nervously gulped. Who is he exactly? You should have memorized the faces of the big names of the mafia-
Your ability is impressive. Even Chuuya has to admit that much. If it were not for the reinforced gravity he applied on himself, he would be on the other side of the park by now. Such a shame you are working for that little agency. Crap. You finally remember. Cursing sleep depravation under your breath, you recall where you had seen his face: the files back in the agency. One of the executives, Chuuya Nakahara, with the powers of manipulating gravity. That is why your winds cannot push him away. Just how did you end up with an executive’s knife pressing against your throat?
Under ideal circumstances, you would order the oxygen particles to stay away from this man, but that ability could only be used once per week. You have not recharged enough, and the fact that you are not in best condition does not help either.
“Now, you got two options, sweet. First, you can try to get away, and it would not end pretty.” Chuuya laughs he feels you shiver, clearly frightened by the idea of your blood spilling out like a fountain once he slices open your throat. Your resistance has pathetic impacts on him, but you have to at least try. You have been neglecting your physical training because you often rely on that extraordinary speed your ability grants you. However, that also means you are helpless in close up situations such as present. Not so confident now, aren’t you? “Second, pay a visit to our headquarters. The boss would like an audience with you.” You certainly do not want to fall into the hands of the port mafia. However, there are civilians in the park. They did not seem to notice how Chuuya is holding you at knifepoint.  Letting yourself, an ADA agent die here would mean the agency’s reputation is done for. Getting yourself killed in broad daylight, in a public place no less! How incompetent. Looks like the only option is to go with him, for now. “Fine. I will go with you.” “Smart choice. But I would expect no less from an intelligent woman like you.” He carefully removed the knife, and just when you were about to relax and think of a retaliate method, you felt a sharp pain on your left arm. A syringe. Just what did he injected you? Watching you fall onto the ground by your knees, barely able to lift a finger due to the sedation drugs, brings him a strange sense of contentment. Chuuya does not consider himself as a sadist by any means, but after seeing how you treated Dazai, shining with confidence and smugness, only made this submissive version of you so much more satisfactory. “Do not look at me like that, dear (y/n). Just a little insurance that you would not leave without permission. I hope you understand.” You do not, but that does not concern him. Swooping you up effortlessly, Chuuya carries your weak body out of the park, straight to a van that awaits there for a long time.
You never imagined, not even in your wildest dreams, that you would be in the Port Mafia’s headquarters like this. Being carried through corridor after corridor ,by one of their executives like a doll, although not by your own free will. Guards everywhere, almost at every turn point. Maybe you can break one of the windows and fly out? Alas, that would not possible if all you can generate is little breezes due to your present condition.
“Do not worry, (y/n).” Feeling your body tense up, Chuuya choose to reassure you, or at least try to. “If simple murder was my objective, you would be dead in that park.”
There are worse things then death. You really did mess up this time. You do not even want to imagine what they could do to you.
“Enter.”
Placing you gently on the carpted floor, like a fragile china artifact, Chuuya bowed to the man behind the desk. “I brought (y/n) here, as you requested.” A cloved finger lifts your chin up, forcing you too look up into his eyes. You did not flinch, instead you stared back with unveil anger burning in your (e/c) eyes.
“Quite a feisty one. Would you like to join us? Your wind ability completely outclasses my other assassins. That speed and that special method! Truly impressive. You should not waste your talents in that agency. The Port Mafia could offer you more.”
Using the little strength you had left, you got away from the mafia’s boss’s reach and shook your head: “I would rather die a gruesome death then working for you. If you want to kill me, you can do it now.”
“Then, I suppose we need to change our method of negotiation-” Great, you can already feel those cold torture instruments.
“I can handle it.” To your surprise, Chuuya stopped the man from saying any more.
The older man looks to his subordinate with curious eyes. “Chuuya? Are you sure? Wouldn’t it be better to leave this to our experts?”
“Leave it to me, boss. She would be compliant within a week, I can guarantee.” Why would he want to trouble himself with this? Well, he merely wants to claim what Dazai cannot, as simple as that.
“As you wish, then. As long as you do not break her beyond repair, she is all yours.”
You want to shout, to scream that you are not some object to be hand over, but you just do not have the energy to do so. There is not much you can do beside being a silent observer on the ground.
Instead of a torture chamber, Chuuya took you to his personal quarters in the Mafia base. Perhaps he wants to do this the tender way? Sway you with high salary or numerous other perks of working in this mafia?
It is when he thrown you on the bed, straddling over your helpless form, tearing your clothes off mercilessly, you realize how wrong you were.
“You look so good under me, where you belong.” He did not even bother to unbutton your blouse, just ripped the fine fabric off swiftly, grinning at your horrified expressions. “Come on, do not look so scared. This is not like you. Where is your fierce spirts when you insult Dazai?” Has he been stalking you? How could he-
“Ah, no matter. That jerk tried to win you over, but it is me who would get you.You would forget all about him when you are busy screaming my name later. Do you think you can handle my torture methods, dear (y/n)? Gods, you are beautiful. No wonder why Dazai would be head over heels for you.”
How you bit your lip to supress your tears, trying to cover your chest for some modesty, only made his lust increase drastically. This time, Chuuya can finally be proud of his accomplishment: claiming a prize Dazai can never possibly won.

I’m not very up to date with the manga or the fandom, so if anyone has said this already I wholeheartedly apologize. Anyway, I have a Bungou Stray Dogs ending headcanon that I desperately need to share. (This might contain SPOILERS, so there’s your warning!)
Something will happen to Dazai, and he’s going to either jump or fall off a building like we see in the Season 1 intro. But I imagine him kind of accepting the fact that he’s *finally* getting what he’s wanted for YEARS, so he closes his eyes and lets himself fall. However, he can’t help but recall Oda’s dying words to him, about how Dazai, allegedly, will never find anything that makes him feel true happiness. And then, against his will, he starts remembering his friendship with Oda. This leads him to think about Chuuya, and maybe we’d even see some of the times when they’d actually get along and have fun with each other or have heart to heart moments before Dazai left the Port Mafia. And then he’d think of his partners at the Armed Detective Agency, and how much light Atsushi brought into his life from the moment he pulled Dazai out of that river. What I also really want to see, is Dazai having flashes of Akutagawa, as he regrets how cruel he’d been to the kid, and how he is truly sorry about his harsh, abusive treatment. And Dazai...Dazai *doesn’t want this*. He thought he did, he craved it for as long as he can remember, but he doesn’t want to die. He wants to live. But he’s going to die now, so he has to find peace with it.
(SPOILER MOMENT) This can only happen if Akutagawa actually comes 100% back to life and back to himself, which I’m PRAYING will happen. So, meanwhile, Aku—and probably Atsushi along with some of the other ADA members—starts to get this nagging feeling that something is *wrong*. And Aku (along with whoever else) takes off with his gut leading the way.
THEN, going back to Dazai as he’s falling. Chuuya was either there from the beginning, or he runs to see Dazai plummeting to the ground. Either way, he arrives too late to pull him back up. Therefore, Chuuya, who can’t use his ability to save him, just leaps after him, probably using his ability to make him go faster to catch up. And he’ll call out to Dazai (bonus points if it’s Osamu) right before he reaches out and grabs him. So Dazai’s eyes snap open, only to find Chuuya clinging to him as they both continue to fall. And Dazai gets genuinely scared, saying something along the lines of, “Chibi...your powers can’t stop me.” And Chuuya responds with, “I know.” To which Dazai, most likely confused but slowly freaking out because Chuuya *wasn’t supposed to be there*—despite all his double suicide talk—replies with, “You can’t stop yourself unless you let go of me.” And Chuuya will tell him, “I’m not letting you go.” Which will lead to Dazai trying to stop his internal panic all the while attempting to convince Chuuya to let go, but Chuuya *won’t*. So they’re falling together. Arguing. Just like always. And—this is self indulgent but I can’t help myself—someone (it will probably be Chuuya based on their characters, but Dazai saying it first would be an emotional tsunami) admits their *feelings*. How they never actually hated the other, nowhere close, but used petty bickering to suppress the strong emotions in order to keep them both safe. Which leads to everything they’ve always wanted to say coming to light. Chuuya admitting how hurt he was when Dazai abandoned him, how agonizing it was, and how he forgives him now. And Dazai tells Chuuya something like, “Hey, Chuuya? You make me want to live.” And honestly, Chuuya will probably cry at that, because he *knows* how bad Dazai wanted to end it all.
AND THEN, right before they hit the concrete, clutching onto one another, Akutagawa comes sprinting towards them and summons Rashomon. And Rashomon, because it (it? he?) can’t work on Dazai, grabs hold of Chuuya, who’s still clinging to Dazai, and saves them from immediate death, settling them down gently instead. Now, both Chuuya and Dazai, emotional and raw, are laying on the ground—safe—with Aku and Atsushi and their friends racing over to them. The two of them will be staring up at the sky (I picture night time) with wide, teary eyes, chests heaving from breathing so heavily. If I let myself hope, their hands might still be clasped together. And Dazai slowly stands from the ground first, on shaky legs, reluctantly letting go of Chuuya, who’s probably thrown an arm over his face to hide his tears. Everyone else is dead silent, waiting for what will happen, because they’re still recovering from the shock that Dazai—and Chuuya—almost just *died*. And Atsushi is probably crying because, again, Dazai and Chuuya *barely* survived. (I’m not sure if this will ever happen in a million years but one can dream). But Dazai ignores that for now, and wraps Aku up in a hug, leaving Aku utterly stunned, frozen in place. And Dazai whispers a breathy, “*Thank you*,” to his former subordinate. *Maybe* he repeats it, a little firmer this time, and says, “I was wrong.” Because Aku just saved their lives, with Rashomon, something he used to believe could only be helpful when it came to killing.
Sorry I just dumped all of that out there at once, but I am DEEPLY (to an unhealthy amount lmao) invested in this headcanon. It would tie together SO many things. Dazai and Chuuya’s relationship *finally* progressing to something honest and open (again, at least in my dreams, I ship them *so* much). Dazai is finally on the brink of death, as he’s blatantly desired from episode one, only to realize that he doesn’t want to die anymore, because he’s found things—*people*—to live for. Also, he’s finally getting his double suicide, which he wants even less now that it’s Chuuya who could die with him. Aku realizes that Dazai is actually sorry, even though he might not say it outright, and he sees that Rashomon truly can be used for good. To *save* people. To save those he cares for the most, even.
And, basically. If this doesn’t happen I’m creating my own book or something and making something like this happen because I am now wholeheartedly devoted to this plot.

Heck that’s a lot of ships anon. I guess the easiest way would be to put them in a sort of number ranking and explain my reasoning, yes? Let’s go with that.
So the range is 0 - 10, 10 is OTP/intensely shipped and loved, 0 is absolute NOTP, don’t bring it near me with a 20 foot pole. Sound good? Alright let’s go!
(read more because this is a titan of a post)
ChuuyaxDazai
Hnnngh… my grandmaster of BSD ships. I don’t think it should come as much surprise to anyone here that this is my OTP, ranking an easy 10/10 ship. There is so much complexity and depth to these two I could rant for hours, but I’ll hold my tongue. I will say at the very least, with this being my OTP I am honestly quite choosy about who I open my heart to with it.
I want to explore all facets of this ship, not just jump straight into romance and smut (although yes, I do like it). More than anything I want to explore the drama between them. I want to have fun shenanigans of teasing and their childish banter. I want Chuuya to understand the shit that goes through Dazai’s head and pull him back from the cliff he’s drawn to–if only for a moment. Chuuya knows how much his head tortures him now, he understands that after having spent so long together. He knows he absolutely isn’t the cure Dazai needs, but he can’t help longing for it. The double edged sword of always being the one passed over for Dazai certainly doesn’t make admitting what he feels towards the man any easier to understand. Why should he want to be involved with the person he’s always being compared to?
This sort of depth is what I’m looking for in anyone that wants to RP this ship with me. I want to dive into the core of SKK and swim in those troubled waters. I want them to fight and scream at each other, to reach their limits and break down as the finally have their masks shattered. These two know each other to such a depth–even with all of their bad blood that they can still understand each other’s thoughts and actions without speaking on it. They can still trust each other with their lives and know that even though everyone else they thought they could trust–that may have even shown kindness towards them, has let them fall. No matter how badly these two fall out with each other, they’ll never let the other fall past the point of being saved. At the end of the day they’ll be the one outstretching their hands to catch each other.
ChuuyaxAtsushi
I WANT TO RP WITH AN ATSUSHI SO FRICKING BADLY. As the brutality of SSKK I want Chuuya to mentor Atsushi and work with him on accepting his ability. Chuuya’s gone through so much of the same strife and struggle I think these two could understand each other very well. Granted, they’d probably clash on the surface given how little patience Chuuya has for those too afraid to fight (it’s the Port Mafia way), but knowing Atsushi’s fears about hurting others with his ability and being afraid of it he understands very well. He knows what it’s like to feel like a monster, to be transformed into something when everyone else’s ability is merely an extension of themselves. It’s different when you become something instead of wield it.
I want these two to have these talks so badly, and I sincerely hope Kafka will give us this content because I think Atsushi could stand to grow so much under Chuuya’s guidance. Again, like Akutagawa I view these more on a familial/mentor relationship, but I think unlike Akutagawa, Chuuya would be able to dote on Atsushi more and be allowed to express himself in more heartfelt ways–like hugs and gentle hair brushes… things like that. I’d put these two at 6/10.
ChuuyaxAkutagawa
Oh Akutagawa… while I don’t really ship these two, I like to think of Chuuya as something like the replacement for Akutagawa. I don’t think Chuuya did a very good job considering how much Akutagawa still pines for Dazai’s attention, but Chuuya understands that pinning at least. He knows how painful it was for Akutagawa when Dazai left suddenly, and seeing how Dazai’s effectively replaced them all with ADA equivalents must hurt like hell to him. I love having Chuuya as a source of comfort for Akutagawa, but I don’t romantically ship them together. This would be more of a familial/mentor relationship and I prefer it that way between them. 4/10.
ChuuyaxYosano
I WANT THESE TWO TO GET PLASTERED IN A BAR TOGETHER! Chuuya and Yosano would be THE BEST drinking buddies and no one can tell me otherwise! I think these two have decent potential as romantic partners–but there’s a huge problem between them–and that would be Mori. Yosano can’t stand the idea of him and Chuuya has dedicated his life to servitude under him. There would be so many arguments and fights over this that it would be a serious point of contention between them.
I would love to see though… if one day they got on well enough for Yosano to truly see the damage Corruption has done to Chuuya. It’s something she wouldn’t be able to heal from how long its existed in his system. She could of course heal him if he were in a state of Corruption that lasted long enough to put his life in jeopardy, but otherwise Chuuya would be one of the few cases where she simply wouldn’t be able to heal someone and could only watch them waste away with each use like a fatal disease. What sort of affect would that have on her I wonder? 6/10.
ChuuyaxRanpo
Ok this is admittedly a guilty ship for me. I honestly didn’t realize how much I would ship this until I actually started RPing here and got to interact with an amazing Ranpo. I think it’s enjoyable because in many ways Ranpo is like Dazai as far as intellect is concerned. While Chuuya doesn’t have background with Ranpo, the man is able to easily cut through Chuuya’s bullshit and pride in order to get to the heart of what Chuuya is really feeling. And he teases Chuuya about just as badly and as a MUN I’m horribly weak to my muses being teased. I would put these two at about 8/10?
As much as Ranpo is able to give Chuuya by means of healing and growth, I’m not sure how much Chuuya would be able to give Ranpo in return. He’s certainly not the best intellectual companion, but maybe that’s what Ranpo finds amusing. He can indulge in simpler things and not have to overthink all the time.
ChuuyaxKunikida
I don’t think Chuuya would ever meet any of Kunikida’s ideals so 0/10. No, I’m kidding! I think these two would fit really nicely together as work friends–even though they’re on opposite sides. They have one extreme headache in common and it would be nice for them to just chat out their frustrations over drinks at a bar. Kunikida may just have to step down from his high horse a bit to be able to stoop to casual conversation with the enemy. I’d give them a 2/10. I’m not much for a romantic ship for them, but friendos? YES PLEASE!!!
ChuuyaxTachihara
At first I was like, ah… they’re good bros. Just what Chuuya needs, a best friend that he can confide in. And then Tachihara was revealed as a spy and member of the Hunting Dogs, betraying Port Mafia and I just tiorewihtwfoilahflidu. CHUUYA APPARENTLY ISN’T ALLOWED TO HAVE ANY FRIENDS OR FAMILY JFC. When’s Kouyou handing in her notice at this rate?! However, Tachihara’s leaving of Port Mafia, and his compounded feelings towards them definitely added a nice level of spice for me with this ship, giving it room to have less bromantic feelings and more romantic.
I enjoy them as an angst ship and I so yearn for that confrontation between them. I enjoy ships that have a lot of work to be done and aren’t smooth sailing–but there’s potential. There has to be some foundation there that holds them together, and in this case it’s that former friendship. So for these too I’d now say that they’re at 6/10.
ChuuyaxAngo
This is quite honestly a ship I struggle to understand as far as how it would work. I see how they could get on with being mutually misunderstood by both their organizations and suffering as a result of their abilities but Chuuya has so much animosity towards Ango for all that he has done and what he represents by working for the Special Abilities Division. Hell, Ango has even referred to Chuuya by his number, making him feel even less human when he already struggles with that concept so much in his life. I truly don’t see these two working together and think they would be far better off with others. 2/10.
ChuuyaxTsujimura
In perfectly good honesty I have not read the spin off novel for the Special Ability Division. However, Chuuya would likely feel very similar to her in the way he does Ango. Chuuya HATES the government with a burning passion for what they put him through. While Tsujimura does seem to have a considerably bigger heart, Chuuya would likely not be able to stand her due to her affiliation not only with the Division, but working directly with Ango as well. Strangely enough though, I do think her concern for Chuuya’s well being would warm his heart quite a bit. It’s rare for anyone to show compassion towards the danger he throws himself into so… on that merit alone it gives her quite an advantage: 6/10
ChuuyaxOdasaku
Again, Chuuya once more doesn’t get on with someone in this listing. It’s an unfortunate pattern. He blames Oda for convincing Dazai to betray the organization and leave, so Oda is in his own way a traitor in Chuuya’s eyes. However, he can also see how Oda’s influence has changed Dazai for the better, and he’s grateful for that. Chuuya’s feelings towards him went from jealous friend, to enemy, to a father figure he wished he could’ve had. Dazai was very lucky to have had someone to teach him in his life for so long. So if anything, it would be more of a paternal/familial ship with Oda and it would certainly be complicated. I’d place this at about… 3/10?

Singing Out Of Key
Read it on AO3
Fandom: Bungo Stray Dogs
Characters: Dazai, Chuuya, Atsushi, Akutagawa, others mentioned.
Pairings: Dazai/Chuuya
Summary: It's supposed to be an outing to wind down, after another disaster had made the Port Mafia and the ADA have to work together again. Dazai recognising just how drunk Chuuya is, however, changes things somewhat.
Notes: Written last night when half asleep. That’s my super-power. To write decent fic when my brain’s half dead.
...
They're in one of those rare bars in the area that both didn't bat an eye at either the familiar faces of the mafia, or the by-now just as easily recognisable ones of the ADA, and also had its karaoke setup in a less boxed in part of the place than the actual karaoke places. It was better, after all, to know where you were, to know you weren't close enough to get knifed in the ribs when half drunk, and if it weren't for that being the reason why it was familiar, it would almost be nostalgic.
(He remembered more than a few times, when that had happened, leaving as if nothing out of the ordinary had taken place, and it'd probably be several hours before the body was found.)
As it was, Dazai was more sober than some, who were already obviously feeling the effects of the drinks they'd been having through the night, but less so than others.
Earlier, he'd managed - through a complicated process of looking cute and harmless in varying amounts, as well as other methods of applying pressure - to get Atsushi to make an attempt on a song in English, that the boy had only been able to sing because the words had come up on the screen in a language he'd recognised as well, although that had still meant that the words, when sung, were unsure, and his voice all over the place. It was worth it, however, just to hear Eye of the Tiger coming from their resident were-tiger.
Just another night of their two organisations mingling, letting off steam after another incident that had forced them to work together. Although thankfully, the disaster this time came with far fewer casualties than some he could mention, anything that required the two companies to put aside their differences was bound to bring up bad memories.
Mori had ulterior motives, of course. Just as he had when he had first sent Chuuya after him, in their war against the Guild. Maybe one day such ties would be more trouble than they were worth - for Atsushi's sake, however, he hoped that they had the opposite effect, that if possible...
The sound of Akutagawa's voice, a little unsteady from drink himself yet surprisingly able to still hold a song quite well, trailed off, and Dazai's eyes trail the path that a black hat is making toward the mike, not falling down, or swaying, but having that even more determined stride than usual that broadcasts loud and clear to anyone who knew him well enough that Chuuya was well and truly drunk.
His hand is halfway to his phone, stuck between the need to record whatever happens next for posterity - and potential blackmail purposes - and the foreboding sense of something about to go wrong.
Chuuya starts to sing in English, which is a big contributor to why it takes so long for him to recognise which song it is, since Chuuya hadn't used the karaoke machine for this.
It also takes a good few moments longer than it should for him to figure out what the words are at all, although when he realises, he can't help but laugh, because really-
"What would you think if I sang out of tune?"
Chuuya was out of tune enough as it was. It was probably a good think most of the people here were either too nice or too drunk - or too loyal - to remind him of that later on.
"Would you stand up and walk out on me?"
For some reason, Dazai's mouth feels dry, his palms sweaty, as though someone had just pointed out a flaw in an old, old plan.
Which wasn't too far wrong, perhaps.
He finds himself making his way over, and a brush of his fingers against Chuuya's is enough to - "Whoops!"  - have the mini mafia stumble and fall, and Chuuya might be cursing him and his ability to hell and back, but if Chuuya's the kind of drunk he thinks he is, then perhaps it's better to stop right there, before...
"What do I do when my love is away?"
The words are coming out mumbled now, because now he's been dragged back to a seat he's not going to fall out of if he slips control on that gravity of his, or if Dazai grabs at him, but awkward English or not, that isn't why he's not still back where the mike is.
Something tells him that he should know why, but no answers come. The awkward silence is broken when another song starts to play, this time one of Yosano-sensei's favourites.
Chuuya's still humming under his breath, a few words coming out every now and then.
He can't take Chuuya back to wherever he's staying; for one thing, he hasn't been graced with that knowledge, and for another, if it's mafia-affiliated, then he wouldn't want to be seen within a good distance anyway.
But, he can stay a while longer, at least.
I get by, with a little help from my friends, he all but hears in Chuuya's voice, shaken by the dampness in his ex-partner's eyes and unsure what to do.
In the end, they'd all lost too many, too much, in the past few months, no matter how much they'd been able to salvage from it all.
Friends had been lost. Some in different ways than others, but all just as permanent. Things weren't the same. They'd never be the same.
Which was something that he'd be able to deal with. He'd dealt with loss before, and betrayal, and come out on the other side. So had everyone, in fact.
The hardest thing was how the chibi who was now lying draped over his shoulder and clearly crying, and how because he knows his partner better than anyone, he knows that the losses and the betrayals hit him harder than Dazai could imagine in several lifetimes, and Chuuya would only let out those emotions when drunk, just like he was now.
(He wonders if Mori had known that this would happen, and thinks it a waste of a question. Of course he had. Which makes him hate the man even more.)
It's a sign of either just how drunk Chuuya is, or just how upset and tired he is, that he slides down, and when he does, he doesn't fight back when Dazai pushes aside his hat, just to place a hand on Chuuya's head.
He closes his eyes for a moment, and carries on humming the song that Chuuya had started amid the noise of a rock song that was reaching its climax.
What do you see when you turn out the light-
His fingers move slightly, catching on the ever-present collar before going back to where they'd been, Dazai's mind wandering off to comments about dogs, to Corruption, to Chuuya walking backwards on the stairs, to the sound of his name being screamed by someone so small with such big lungs.
He isn't sure what those memories make him feel, but it presses on his chest in a way that's at the same time unfamiliar and uncomfortable, yet if it's a pain, then it's one that he doesn't want to be rid of just yet.
-I can't tell you, but I know that it's mine.

what's your opinion on the latest bsd chapter ?
A warning. This is going to be a fairly long opinion post. I have a lot of feels and opinions on it. This is also HUGE in spoilers.
Chapter Highlights: 1. HOLY SHIT CHUUYA IS BACK AND HE IS THROWING BULLETS. I LOVE HIM SO FUCKING MUCH MY BOYFRIEND. You’re so amazing and beautiful and I fucking LOVE YOU CHUUYA. Being able to fling bullets is so beautiful, even if the science doesn’t exactly back your Ability as much as one would like. You are also the king of entrances. Like baby, they not only gotta catch your hands, but they gotta catch your bullets too. OH WAIT THEY CAN’T, BECAUSE YOU ARE A GOD. 2. The fact that Chuuya and Yosano appeared in the same chapter again under circumstances like those (with the exchange) really backs a ChuuSano headcanon I have (I will speak about that later).3. KuniChuuZai is now an OTP of mine. Like Chuuya looked as though he held so much respect for Kunikida when he saw him? KuniChuu fuel?  And most people know I am also a Soukoku fan and a KunikiDazai fan. If you take my fics as anything. KuniChuuZai has always been a favourite of mine, because in one way, shape, or form, they all come across as compatible. It also is a huge angst party, seeing as Chuuya is Dazai’s past, Kunikida is Dazai’s present, and Chuuya is collectively their enemy. 4. Finally, I am bringing up the exchange once again. I find this super, super fascinating and I can’t wait to know the outcome. I have a few ideas, rest assured, and I will get to them.OVERALL OPINION.I absolutely loved this chapter and everything about it. From Chuuya returning to Kunikida getting his morals bashed by Jouno, essentially, when it comes to saying Tecchou should cut Yosano’s head off, to Kunikida jumping in to sacrifice himself for the entirety of the ADA, even stating that he was well aware it was essentially an act of suicide.I have to hand it to Asagiri, however, about planting Chuuya in as a supposed hero when in actuality Kunikida ended up being the true hero of the chapter, and arguably of the past few chapters. We all have to admit, Kunikida has recently had it very rough. His ideals have never been more evident in the series than the past maybe 10 chapters. It has been challenge after challenge for him, and quite honestly, while I much enjoy conflict in a manga, I do believe he needs a break. And rest assured, to those who read this and maybe got concerned about the turn of events with Kunikida, he is not dead. Asagiri isn’t necessarily the best writer, but he isn’t all about that life. Kunikida would not die in something as mundane as self-sacrifice. And Asagiri would pass up an entire opportunity to put Kunikida into despair if Yosano were lost. Or rather, even this entire situation has already tossed him up in the air. After this event, if Kunikida lives, which he will, he’s going to go through a midlife crisis.
Remember, just remember, Kunikida has a tendency to blame himself if anything goes wrong on his watch, and Kunikida is the type of person to take the entirety of the blame and be immensely hard on himself. That’s part of his life as someone with strict morals such as his. There is no way Asagiri would kill Kunikida. Especially with Chuuya and Yosano being there, Yosano, if she goes down at the right time (which she could, with Chuuya’s help) she could save herself, Kunikida, and if any damage were done to Chuuya, him too.
The Trade
I believe the trade is of the utmost importance to the plot, in some way, shape or form. I believe that there are three primary choices for who would be chosen (I would assume by the Port Mafia and Mori himself because he would not pass up any chance of no success in this trade by letting the Armed Detective Agency decide) : Yosano Akiko, Kunikida Doppo and Dazai Osamu.
I will provide explanations.Yosano Akiko(Most Likely): Yosano has a very prime Ability, one Mori would most certainly desire. Being able to heal people while on the field would give Mori the upper hand when facing many of his greater enemies, this counts for the Port Mafia by default. She also has acquired the title, “Angel of Death”, despite us having little to no knowledge of what that means. Yosano also has a past with the Military and therefore has some sort of offensive (I’m assuming) experience in combat. Not like Kouyou or Chuuya, but certainly enough to get by. If Yosano’s past with Mori has shown her love for life, it would give a disadvantage for Yosano, because he would know just how desperate Yosano would be to heal individuals. Yosano would have no hesitation, most likely, to go if it meant the Agency would be helped, if only temporarily, and would be loyal if the conditions were met to help the Agency.
Kunikida Doppo(Third Most Likely): This chapter in itself has been a very prevalent example of how Kunikida would sacrifice himself for the good of the Agency. He wouldn’t kill anyone, though, but his selflessness is very much something to note. One thing that makes this a challenge, though, is if his morals are broken, if he isn’t able to save people, will he die? Will he turn out like Oda? Many people make references to how they are similar, and I can see it too. Mafiosi who wouldn’t kill. But, it is to be noted, that Oda broke, and killed. Who is to say that Kunikida won’t do the same if something happens to ruin his ideals? If something causes him to break more than he already has? Kunikida, despite having many emotions, can be ruthless if need be. Another reference to Oda that you could use to justify this would be the fact that Kunikida is very close to Dazai as far as the Agency is concerned. And we all remember what happened when Mori knew how close he was to Oda. If Mori wants to break Dazai back into being with him in the Mafia, Kunikida is arguably the way to go about it. If Mori knew this, he would probably also have plans to eventually get Kunikida to die during a mission after he broke. Kunikida would be Dazai’s second Oda. No one can deny the fact that Kunikida has done some wonders for Dazai, had taught him in the Agency, had taught him how to be a better person. And that is something Oda told him to do. Kunikida helped him be on the side that saves people.
Dazai Osamu(Second Most Likely): Mori has dictated that Dazai’s Mafia Executive position is still available for him should he ever decide to go back. Mori would choose Dazai because Dazai has a mind as similar to his, built to manipulate and control. Of course, Dazai has learned that there is more to life than that, that life is actually slightly worth living. Though, despite probably not belonging in the Mafia anymore, having done too much good, having learned how to be a decent person, when given the opportunity to choose whether or not one should experience a life like that, he would say no. He wouldn’t want someone as idealistic as Kunikida, someone as young and almost naïve as Atsushi, one who cherishes life like Yosano, to experience what life in the Port Mafia would be like. He would most certainly figure that he would be saving a lot more people if he sacrificed himself in this. Dazai wouldn’t admit that the Port Mafia destroyed him, probably destroyed most of his opinion on life. He was empty at that point in his life. He may not want to subject himself to it again, but he would rather do that than let anyone else experience it.HONOURABLE MENTION: ATSUSHI NAKAJIMA: It is entirely possible that Atsushi, with his ability being so strong, that he would be chosen by Mori to join the Mafia. It would be good in terms of plot development, but I also think that Dazai himself wouldn’t allow that. Akutagawa wouldn’t necessarily be fond of the idea either, given how much they ‘hate’ each other. As the main character, it also wouldn’t surprise me if he were chosen to join the mafia because that’s the life of a protagonist. Now, I am going to focus on RELATIONSHIPS:Dazai Osamu and Kunikida Doppo, Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya, Yosano Akiko and Nakahara Chuuya, and Yosano Akiko and Kunikida Doppo.
Kunikida Doppo and Dazai Osamu: An important thing to note, is that should Kunikida die at the end of this chapter, what would that do to Dazai? As aforementioned. It would send Dazai into an unspeakable pit. He would be full of despair. Dazai isn’t one to really acknowledge guilt when it comes to him, but I do think it’s plausible for Dazai to feel guilty if something happened to his partner. I think it would send him into a rut because Dazai is aware Kunikida probably trusts him with his fucking life. When it comes to the trade, it takes little to no knowledge of Kunikida to understand that should Dazai ever rejoin the Port Mafia, even in the situation like this, that he would certainly disapprove of it, he would try to convince Dazai not to. Kunikida may not have considerate knowledge (personally I don’t believe anyone other than Oda, Mori, Ranpo, and possibly Ango would) of what royally fucked with Dazai’s life, and what the Mafia had done to him. So, it is a given that Kunikida wouldn’t want to let Dazai back to that. Despite it all, much like Chuuya, Kunikida does care about Dazai and his wellbeing, even if he believes that Dazai’s suicidal antics are a façade. Nakahara Chuuya and Dazai Osamu: Now, Chuuya, he isn’t a given.  We don’t exactly have knowledge about how much Chuuya knows about what the Port Mafia and being a ploy of Mori’s did to Dazai. Of course, Chuuya would have an opinion, but we don’t know what Chuuya knows. It was shown that they knew each other quite well as partners, but that doesn’t mean anything, either. We don’t know if Chuuya was aware. And I am not going to stereotype it and be one of those people who will say that he’d be definitely okay, or definitely not, though I lean more toward not. I think it depends. Regardless, Chuuya has shown genuine care for Dazai’s wellbeing, so basing it on the fact that Dazai fucked up their partnership is not reliable. If Chuuya was aware, even to a small extent, I don’t think Chuuya would be okay with it. I believe that Chuuya would rather Dazai not go back to that state of mind. We don’t know if Chuuya is also aware of how much Dazai has changed, that he has found more of a reason to live, but if he has, he wouldn’t wish the worst on Dazai.Conversely, if Chuuya wasn’t aware, I think it would settle more on Chuuya’s perception of self. I said that I wouldn’t bring their betrayal out in this, but it is undeniable that Chuuya is in some way still hurt. Being over something doesn’t mean you aren’t affected by it, still. Chuuya doesn’t perceive them as partners anymore, that much is for certain. No one could blame him for that. It depends on the person; if you are one of those individuals who thinks that Chuuya can’t live without Dazai, then sure, you can go and say that Chuuya would prefer to have Dazai by his side. I’m one of those people who doesn’t necessarily believe that. Because they’re Soukoku, they get under each other’s skin. That’s what they do. It would be easier to do that when they are together. And Chuuya probably did like that. This one is really iffy. I don’t think he would want Dazai to come back to the Mafia, though. EDIT: My friend brought up an interesting point about the plot of Dead Apple, where it was very evident that Chuuya has a lot of faith in Dazai, like that Dazai wasn’t truly on the side of Shibusawa and Fyodor.
Yosano Akiko and Nakahara Chuuya: Now, I have a lot more to say about that, but I want to focus on the opinion I have on how Chuuya and Yosano met, and it wasn’t in the underground in the Guild Arc. We all know that Yosano has connections with Mori and that she used to work in the military as well. It wouldn’t have shown it, but my personal headcanon is that one time, ONE TIME, Chuuya was healed by Yosano from Corruption’s damage before the Armed Detective Agency was formed, and was sworn to secrecy by Mori, who had probably paid her. At that time, Chuuya had probably been out of it in one way or another and was to leave right before he woke up. Though, I imagine, when she is offered the chance to heal someone, given the fact that she really does treasure life. One thing I do wonder, is did Yosano have control of her Ability before the Agency? She probably did, or else, the “Angel of Death” would have not been employed by the military. If she did not have control, maybe she just healed anyone within her vicinity on the brink of death. But, that is why I doubt it. This chapter could have been a lot of shock to Yosano, seeing Chuuya once again. Yosano doesn’t seem like the type to lie, rather seems very blunt when she opens her mouth, so to withhold information, like the fact that she was hired to save and heal Chuuya, and act as if she doesn’t know him, probably did more numbers on Yosano than she would like to admit. I believe if Chuuya suggested for them to save Kunikida, she would agree and go along with it.
Off topic: The two probably find each other really pretty. They would most definitely be drink buddies and Chuuya would take Yosano out shopping.EDIT: Yosano worked in the military, and Chuuya was ‘made’ and ‘experimented on’ in the Military, presumably during the Ability War. So perhaps there is connection to that in them as well. It is a possibility, and this is only to be noted, that Yosano could also have an artifical Ability like Chuuya? Or something of the sort? That is something we can’t say for certain, though.
Yosano Akiko and Kunikida Doppo: This is my very last topic, but I want to shed some light. Kunikida, Ranpo, and Yosano were the first ones (other than Fukuzawa) to join the agency. Yosano kind of views Kunikida as her little brother. She most certainly wants to protect Kunikida no matter the cost, and I think that is going to put her in a situation that could get her killed. I also think that between the two of them (Dad and Mom of the Agency), they would try to prevent any other member of the Agency younger than them, say, Atsushi, Tanizaki, Kyouka, or Kenji from being subjected to the life of the Port Mafia. Yosano and Kunikida are shown to be quite close as well, and they look after each other. They also have familiar morals, so that means they could work well together, and probably would for the sake of the Agency. They also have close bonds with Ranpo. All three of them, but namely Yosano and Kunikida, care most about the success of the Agency.
This was a long post, and this is about what I think about chapter 61.5 of Bungou Stray Dogs.

=STORY INFO= STORIES THAT THIS CHARACTER APPEARS IN: Bungou Stray Dogs STATUS: Alive BACKSTORY: Dazai was an orphan like Atsushi, and was beaten and ridiculed like the weretiger as well, but less harshly since Dazai’s ability was hardly as costing as Atsushi’s. However, his torso is still littered with scars from his childhood, which is why he wears bandages on his torso as well as everywhere else. At the age of 13, Osamu ran from the orphanage. He survived for a few months on the food he scavenged from the orphanage and the scraps he managed to find on the streets. After a year of living on the run, Osamu grew tired of living like this and saw no point of living anyway. Humanity disgusted him, the world was cold and uncaring. And as a child with nothing but a hatred for the life he was living, he saw no problem with ending it all. So, he fell from the top of a ten story building. However, he landed on a bush that was acting as landscaping for the building, which cushioned his fall but scraped up his body. He tumbled from the bush onto the ground, breaking his arm in the process and leaving him bleeding and tortured by his own pain. Osamu was found by Ōgai Mori, a doctor at the time, who took him in as his protege. When Mori killed the boss later that night and became the boss of the Port Mafia himself, Dazai was there as his only witness. Osamu quickly became the youngest executive of the Port Mafia, becoming an executive at merely 16 years old and being a living legend within the underworld of Yokohama. He was partners with Chuuya and became the “Criminal Underworld’s Worst Enemy”, and earned the title of Twin Dark. Dazai fit in perfectly with the evil Port Mafia, and was ruthless in his methods. So how did he become a good guy? His closest friend, Oda, requested on his death bed for Dazai to join the good guys and become someone who saves people. And so, he did as Oda wished and left the Port Mafia. He was 18 years old. For two years Dazai went into hiding to cleanse his records before he joined the ADA, which was suggested to him by Taneda Santouka. His friend Ango helped him in this endeavor, and he soon joined the ADA. It is said that during those two years, Dazai was a drunk who spent most of his time in his favorite bar. Dazai’s entrance exam was the Serial Disappearance of Yokohama’s Visitors Case, which he completed with his now coworker, Doppo Kunikida. – PLACE OF BIRTH: Yokohama, Japan PAST LIVING QUARTERS: Yokohama, Japan CURRENT AND FUTURE HOMES: Yokohama, Japan – NATIVE LANGUAGE(S): Japanese LANGUAGES SPOKEN: Japanese, English, French, Russian, a bit of German, bits and pieces of various other languages  =TALENTS/OCCUPATION/EDUCATION= OCCUPATION/JOB: Detective/ability user BOSS: Yukichi Fukuzawa TALENTS: slacking off, deductive reasoning, reading people excellently YEARS OF EDUCATION: No formal education, learned bits and pieces from his orphanage and from working under Mori. Also from working at the ADA LEVEL OF EDUCATION: N/A =COMBAT= SKILLS/TECHNIQUES: Will dodge and analyze his enemy’s moves before waiting for the perfect moment to strike. He’s very careful that way.  SPECIAL POWERS: No Longer Human (人間失格) allows Dazai to nullify other Abilities on contact. His Ability relies on skin contact and is always active. As such, he can nullify any Ability even while restrained as soon as it touches him. He is often referred to as the opposite of an ability, and as such can be compared to a void. His ability, in a sub sense, prevents him from actually dying. He can still feel pain and heals at a rate just slightly faster than a normal person’s, but he can’t actually die.  WEAPON(S) OF CHOICE: Gun, his own two hands STRENGTHS: Can’t die, nullifies all abilities that touch him, athletic, is very good at combat and predicting his opponent’s moves as well as retaliating.  WEAKNESSES: his ability is not at all good for combat and also can only be activated on touch, so he must be close to his opponent to activate it.  =VERSES=
~í’m α crєαturє whσ‘ѕ up tσ nσ gσσd; í‘ll lσvє чσu líkє α vαmpírє wσuld~ [Vampire Verse]—This verse is very simple and the same for all of the muses that have it: the character is a vampire. This verse is very flexible, so if you have ideas please let me know so we can incorporate it into the thread!! But it’s nothing major, I just love vampires lol
~ѕσund σf mч hєαrt; thє вєαt gσєѕ σn αnd σn~ [Band Verse]—Dazai is a talented lead guitarist with a pretty terrible sense of responsibility. He’s a handful if you want him in a band, but he’s excellent at playing.
~tσ α ѕєnѕєlєѕѕ вєαtíng; crípplєd αnd вαrєlч вrєαthíng; í tσrє σff mч ѕkín; í‘ll hαng frσm thíѕ nσσѕє~ [Reverse! AU]—A very dark and twisted AU that’s the complete opposite of normal. In this AU, Dazai worked for the ADA first and made friends there, but was abducted by the Port Mafia for his ability. Now he’s constantly beaten and tortured every day by his old mentee (and current PM executive), Atsushi Nakajima.
~ín thє dєαd σf níght чσu wєnt dαrk σn mє~ [Aftermath Verse]—A spoiler heavy AU that follows the idea that Dazai will have to go back to the port mafia. Find more info here.
~tєll mє whч αrє wє ѕσ вlínd tσ ѕєє thαt thє σnє‘ѕ wє hurt αrє чσu αnd mє~ [Dark Era]—This takes place in the time between Dazai being 14 to 18. He’s an executive of the Port Mafia, partners with Chuuya, and training Akutagawa. Not much else to say here. (WARNING—HEAVY TRIGGER WARNING FOR DEPRESSION, SUICIDE, AND TORTURE)
~í‘m juѕt líkє чσu! чσu‘rє juѕt líkє mє!~ [Twin! AU]—This verse is specifically for other Dazai rpers who, like me, LOVE twin AUs!! Osamu and Osaka (my Dazai) were the Demon Twins of the Port Mafia before they left. Never separated, always humorous, these twins love causing havoc and joking around with each other. They may no longer be demons of the Port Mafia, but now they are tricky little imps in their own way. Chuuya and Kunikida, beware~ When it comes to a twin verse, my “twin” will have the same backstory as yours unless stated otherwise. This is to prevent confusion with differing headcanons and backgrounds.
~í cαn‘t lívє α nσrmαl lífє; í wαѕ rαíѕєd вч thє ѕtrєєtѕ~ [Beast! AU]—An alternate AU where Dazai is the boss of the Port Mafia, along with other changes. This verse will be extremely selective as I don’t know much about the Beast novel, so you guys will have to help me lol
~єvєn íf í dσn‘t pull thrσugh αm í α hєrσ tσ чσu?~ [Hero! Verse]—In this verse, Osamu is a teacher at UA. He wasn’t always a teacher, as he used to be a leading part in the infamous villain group/mafia, the Port Mafia in Yokohama. However, he left the Port Mafia because a dear friend wished him to, and made his way to the leading hero school in all of Japan, UA, to become a teacher. Of course, no one but him knows of his past… He is now the teacher of 3-A in the hero course. (Read more here!)
~íf í tσld чσu whαt í wαѕ wσuld чσu turn чσur вαck σn mє?~ [Monster! Verse]—In this AU, Dazai is a monster hunter—and an extremely well known one at that. His methods are questionable, but he always gets the job done. Find more info here.
~hσld чσur вrєαth αnd cσunt thє dαчѕ; wє‘rє grαduαtíng ѕσσn~ [High School Verse]—A verse where Dazai is just a normal teen. Dazai acts a lot like his Dark Era self in this au. He’s a bully, a drug dealer, a fighter, and just over all a terrifying person. He is the most feared person in the high school, and for good reason. It’s best to be on his good side.

Traitor Chuuya AU
//tw mentions of torture (unspecified)
Years after Dazai has left the Mafia, Chuuya finally decides to leave the organization
Chuuya had been preparing for this day for a month, slowly taking on less and less missions and passing it down to his subordinates. He stored some basic needs in a fake tile in his washroom. Chuuya had been saving up extra cash every now and then ever since Dazai had left, which made his stash of cash, and weapons that he stole off the enemies he fought, quite large
Dazai, before he left, made Chuuya promise that even if he wasn’t ready to escape and leave the Mafia behind right now because of his debt, he would escape before it got even worse, unless he wanted Dazai to physically drag him away. They parted ways on bittersweet terms, and kept up the guise that they hated each other by blowing up his new car (which hurt him in places he didn’t know existed)
The executive leaves during early morning hours (3-4 am) since the night was usually when the Mafia carried out their most secretive missions, but he was unaware that Elise was set on him, following him silently. Because she’s an ability, the sixth sense that he had honed wouldn’t notice anything too strange
He then goes to meet a person that would help him vanish, who turns out to be Ango. Ango is hesitant to help him, but Dazai had also secretly convince Ango to help out, refusing to tell Chuuya he had been pulling strings until he reached the ADA safely
Elise listens in on their conversation and contacts Mori, who says that he’ll be there. Chuuya and Ango talk about what he needs to do to stay undercover and make sure that no one found out about his past so that he could live in the real world on the good side
Elise injects a poison into Ango when he gets Chuuya to agree to the conditions, and Chuuya leaps into the defensive as Mori creeps out of the shadows.
Chuuya realizes that there’s no way he can get out of this unscathed, but he attempts to anyways. He says that he’ll go to the government and reveal everything about the Port Mafia, but Mori simply laughs and says that Chuuya knows that the reason why the government turns a blind eyes is because he has the certificate allowing them to exist. Plus, if he ever did go, corrupt politicians would be on the Port Mafia’s side, not to mention the fact that Mori would reveal Chuuya’s extensive file of crimes to the public, also destroying him in the process
Chuuya is distracted long enough for Elise to also attempt to inject him, but doesn’t realize that she had already injected him before, and his eyes widen as Mori activates what was in the substance she had put in before, making neurotransmitters slow him down and make it hard for him to stay standing. He collapses on the ground and on his knees
Before Mori can touch him, Chuuya’s eyes fly open as he activates Corruption. The blood-like carvings stretch around him, but he can’t even generate his black ball of gravity destruction before he falls on the ground again as they vanish. Chuuya’s vision fades away as he can hear Mori tell someone to kill Ango and hunt down Dazai
Chuuya wakes up strapped to a chair and tortured by Mori. Mori decides to kill Ango slowly in front of him as Chuuya is forced to choose between pain to himself or Ango. the days drag on as he can no longer process anything but pain and anguished screaming. Eventually, he can no longer even scream and falls silent right after Ango dies. Mori drags him away from a surgical table and bed
Chuuya once again wakes up, but in his own room this time. His memories are wiped and altered to make him believe that it was actually Dazai and Ango who had tortured him to confess to what the Port Mafia has done, and he doesn’t recall anything about how wanted to escape
Once again, he tried to chase his wish, his dream, that slipped through, but with no avail. Chuuya was stopped, knowing that this was where his attempt would end. However, that would not stop him from trying.
“Mori, I will go to the special abilities department and reveal everything I know, if you do not let me and Ango go right now.” Chuuya threatened, feeling slightly unease underneath his brave facade.
The greasy bastard merely laughed in his face. “Oh please Chuuya-kun, there’s not to say that you wouldn’t have done it after you successfully fled anyways. Plus, you know how easily i could destroy your hope and new life, even if you do manage to survive and escape.”
“I doubt the Mafia would keep paper copies.”
Black eyes glinted dangerously. “But who says we don’t? There are always traces left behind. Chuuya-kun. Perhaps I could release your crimes out to the public in answer to your threat, and I can watch as your world falls apart. the victims, the cops, the public, who will all tear you to shreds. Maybe I’ll even drag in the incompetent Dazai-kun to make the dish even better.”
Chuuya hesitated with the mention of Dazai’s name.
A flash of metal shot up in the corner of his eyes, reaching up for his neck. His body twisted with impossible speeds and slammed Elise into a brick wall. An indent was left as she slid down, giggling quietly in a high pitch. Beside him on the floor was a shattered container filled with bright green liquid soaking the grits. Her clothes were dirty and her silky blonde hair was soaked with something like blood, although Chuuya knew that this brat wasn’t human at all.
Elise’s giggle sent shivers down Chuuya’s spine and with her deadened eyes staring back at him as she tilted her head ever so slightly didn’t help him feel any more comfortable. They flashed behind him, and back on his face. Her painted lips spread into an eerie grin.
“What the fu-” The executive collapsed on his knees, suddenly seeing the blurry ground as the fluid seeped through his black dress pants. His vision violently blurred as dizzy spells made it impossible for him to think. Chuuya’s head felt like it was filled with cotton, and he was close to falling over.
He didn’t know what was going on, and to be honest, it was absolutely fucking terrifying.
“Don’t swear in front of children Chuuya-kun.” Mori’s tone was casual, almost even teasing, but it held an undertone of anger and possesiveness. This was the voice that woke Dazai up in the middle of the night screaming and flailing until Chuuya tentatively wrapped his arms around his lanky torso. And now, faced with it here, Chuuya understood why Dazai was so traumatized.
He would not go down without taking down Mori with him. Even if he didn’t make it to ADA, Chuuya wanted to get rid of one monster in this world.
“O Grantors of Dark Disgrace, do not wake me again.”
Power surged through his weakened body, as etched bloody marks stretched all around his body. Chuuya stood up and prepared to throw a ball of destruction towards Mori, no matter if it tore through his gloves or not. The executive could feel himself slipping and surrendering to Corruption. There would be no one to stop him as he raged on.
He was powerful.
And then he wasn’t.
Chuuya crumpled to the ground, unable to even lift his head. Numbness spread throughout his body and he could see the marks receding through his blackening vision.
Corruption had failed.
“Oh Chuuya-kun. You’ve been so naive haven’t you? There was no way we could let you go unchecked... neurotransmitters in your blood take care of your notorious uncontrollable ability, although I never thought I would need it for something like this.” Mori stepped on Chuuya’s leg as he struggled feebly.
A heaviness weighed him down stronger than any gravity he had ever manipulated. With this, Chuuya had finally been neutralized.
“It was a mistake crossing the Mafia Chuuya-kun. Now you must pay the price.”
Chuuya could no longer open his eyes, but the last thing he heard before he passed out was Mori’s final orders
“Toss Ango-kun in the trunk and dispose of him later. And as for Dazai-kun, make sure you find him, and kill him on the spot. I’ve had enough of the traitors in this organization.”
“From now on, there’s no more playing nice.”

Hello! Could I request a scenario or headcannons for Mori who has a doctor S/O with an ability similar to Trafalgar Law's Ope Ope No mi? Like they are probably the most friendly person in the mafia but on the battle feild they are a raging badass that does weird things like play golf with their sword and enemies heads while their conscious. How do you think everyone would to react them (Mafia + ADA)?
//I added a few references to Law and his ability but shifted more to what they think of them instead of a reaction towards them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The wind seemed to pick up as you held out your hand in front of you, clenching it into a fist and after a moment, opened once more, a bright orb releasing and expanding around your form. It grew and grew until the perimeter was completely enclosed by what now looked to be a translucent dome that disappeared as quickly as it came. Your sharp eyes searched the area for your fellow Mafioso's, your ability allowing you to not just feel where they were but to lock onto their presence and move them at will. The smell of blood was thick in the air and upon finding three of the sources, men on your side, you reached out again, swept your hand in a grabbing motion and pulled your fist towards yourself. For a split second, the injured disappeared from sight, before reappearing once more a few feet behind you where they would be safe.
“Stay there and don’t move around too much. I’ll fix the three of you up when this is all over and I don’t feel like losing friends today,” you directed to them, receiving no response in return, but knowing all too well that they would not disobey. With the injured out of harms way, you shifted your attention back to the battle, just on time to see the enemy firing at you. With a sweep of your hand, just like last time, the bullets were gone and redirected at the offender, shooting him down with his own ammunition.
“This is boring, let’s add some excitement shall we?” You hummed with a growing smirk, stretching out both your arms, fingers spread apart and then crossing your forearms together. Anyone who had their eyes on you may have had a clue what you were doing but those who didn’t and were your enemy noticed and felt nothing, even as you uncrossed them, severing limbs and heads from bodies.
Screams and yells of terror and confusion filled the space before you and with a sharp laugh, you found a leg and a hand in your hands. “Batter up!”
With a swing and a loud cry from the conscious head once in your grasp, it went flying through the air and through a window with a distant crash.
“Home run!”
Port Mafia
Needless to say, the members of the Port Mafia are very aware who you are and what you are capable of.
For starters, as Ougai Mori’s significant other, what you say pretty much goes as no one really wishes to face is wrath if you were to be dismissed.
Not to say this is the only reason they listen to you though. You are also their top doctor. Not only do you have your medical studies backing you up but your ability and nickname, Surgeon of Death, allowed you to do just about anything.
Ever since joining the mafia, many lives had been saved, surgeries performed without risk of being caught and thrown in prison, and all in all, you had just gained so much respect by being so reliable, that people listen to you regardless of your standing with the boss.
Most do find your ability to be a little intimidating and thus find your intimidating considering you can technically dismember and rearrange their limbs at will if you so chose to.
Being as nice as you are though, no one really thinks you would do that to them but it does surface every now and then when you’re brutal towards enemies.
Mori loves every part of you. He loves that you’re super sweet to everyone you meet but the moment you need to, you put all that kindness away and let your inner freak out. He tends to find it really amusing when you start messing with people, especially since you can walk around with a conscious head in your hands without there being any blood loss. It’s that sick side of him that finds it really hot.
Someone like Chuuya though hates working with you. You’re great and all and you’re a good friend but with his ability being way different to others, you have a hard time detecting him with your ability. This means there has been more than one occasion where you have accidentally removed a limb or two from him in the middle of battle.
“Oh shit… uh, sorry about that Chuuya, let me just uh, reattach that for you.”
Armed Detective Agency
For starters, you joined the mafia long before Dazai left so the suicidal maniac is very familiar with you. It was interesting to find that having him in your dome didn’t cancel out your ability so you were still able to work with him but it’s best to keep your distance from each other so you didn’t accidentally make contact. If that happened while using your ability, it would become incredibly messy.
So now as a detective, he is very aware of how much of a threat you are. When up against you, he tries to disable you as quickly as possible so there are no casualties. Once you’ve got your grasp on someone though, he stays back, trusting that you won’t needlessly kill someone.
The rest of the ADA is very weary of you too, knowing how dangerous you can be and are. However, while they wouldn’t verbally admit to it, based on what Dazai has told them, they would much prefer your medical methods than that of Yosano considering it would hurt way less and be a hell of a lot less scary.
Most of them think you’re incredibly twisted though, especially those who are aware of how kind you are when you’re not in the middle of a job. To be able to switch from sweet to menacing in a second just isn’t normal.
I feel you’ve probably known Mori for a long while so chances are, Fukuzawa is also very familiar with you. You’re probably friends to be fair but he is not fond of many of your decisions.
If for whatever reason Yosano is out of commission, Fukuzawa will call upon you if it’s an emergency because he knows you’re not cruel enough to turn down an urgent request from him or anyone in need really.
Most ADA members have had at least one limb removed by you at some point in the last few years but you have never gone out of your way to harm anyone as they are good people.
